-Slayers Jungle Camp-
Frida sat in a cold cage, trying to pick the lock. She hadn't seen Jade since they got there, but she knew that the girl must be in trouble. Her lock pick broke, she got mad and slammed on the cage with a frustrated yell. Frida looked toward the tent door, she could here footsteps coming to the door. She quickly hid her lock picks.
Slayer came through the flap in the tent, his weight and large size were very evident by the sound of his footsteps. He was dragging a limp Jade across the ground by her hair, she was bloody and bruised. He slammed open the cage door across from Frida, and threw the green haired girl inside.
"What the hell did you do to her!?" Frida yelled at him from inside her cage.
"That's a dumb question." He frowned at her as he walked toward her cage.
"Well too bad! Cause I'm full of em!" She snapped back.
"A whiny little brat, aren't you?" He raised a brow, leaning towards her.
"And you're a slimy bastard with an ugly mug, I think I'm the winner of this personality contest." She smirked, though with some clear anger.
Suddenly Slayer shot his hand through the cage bars and gripped her neck. Frida grabbed onto the man's arm as he picked her up off the ground, struggling to breath as his grip tightened.
"The only reason you're not dead right now, is because you still serve a purpose. You make good bait, that's it. I suggest that you shut up and know your place weakling." He growled, tightening his grip around her neck, she choked and fruitlessly tried to pry his hands off her neck.
He threw her back on the ground hard, she coughed and rubbed her throat, scowling at him with intense anger. She knew then and there, that at some point she was going to hit him with baseball bat.
Slayer walked back out of the tent. Frida turned her attention to Jade, who was out cold in the cell across from her. The blue haired girl wished she could go over there and help, but unless she could get open the cage, she was out of luck.
In the corner of her vision, Frida saw something stir in one of the further cages. She snapped her head over in the direction. She saw somebody sitting up and out of a hay pile. Frida's eyes widened, she pointed at the figure and shouted;
"YOU!"
-a little ways outside of Slayers base-
Marcus and Eric peered at the camp in the distance, they were hiding in the top of a tall tree about a soccer fields distance away.
"Ok, that's a lot of guards…." Marcus groaned as they surveyed the camp.
"I could take out a few pretty fast, but if anyone screamed, we would be very screwed." Eric cringed
"We can't go in guns blazing…Well, I can't go in blazing, they might kill the others." Mark frowned.
"I guess were gonna have to sneak, it's our only option." He continued.
Suddenly a figure landed next to them; Eric bared his claws, and Marcus lit his fists, trigger ready to attack.
"Need any help?" a familiar voice asked with a smirk.
"Manny?!" Marcus and Eric exclaimed.
"In the fur!" The masked boy smiled brightly, his fangs showing brightly.
"You scared us half to death!" Marcus hissed, not wanting to risk alerting the camp.
"Sorry, but I couldn't exactly shout."
"How did you get away from them?" Eric chimed in.
"Slayer punched me out of the back of the train." Manny cringed at the memory, it hurt quite a lot.
"Owch." Mark cringed as well.
"Yeah."
Manny tilted his head and looked between the other two; "So, what's the plan?"
-Slayers Camp-
Nephthys was in her tent, standing in front of the alter she made. It was a large, round, wooded slab with a pentagram deeply carved in it. In the middle of the pentagram was the Jade Lion mask. Slayer had beaten Jade so badly that the mask had separated from her. At each point on the pentagram was an open jar of blood. She held a strange object in one hand, it appeared to be a tusk with strange cravings throughout and a black gem on the top. Her other hand was held above the pentagram. The room was dark, the only light was from a few dim candles on a nearby table.
The mummy woman began chanting in an ancient language;
"Ad conteram sigillum Dei magicae"
"Ad conteram sigillum Dei magicae"
As she continued chanting, the jars began to rise off the slab, telepathically floating.
"Ne effundatur sanguis in tuam et tange est lapis."
The jars began to pouring the blood into the points of the carved pentagram.
"Horum animabus in V de industria Fule Sententiae meae tam multae"
The blood flowed through the craved wood until it filled every crevice
"Item quod colluvies torquent cupere mihi aptior urna."
The pentagram glowed red, but the blood turned black.
"Perpetuus imple eam cum frigore mortis, quod in potestate mea sit, ut possit oratio."
The blood seemed to gain a life of its own, as it rippled and flowed upwards towards the Jade Lion mask. The black blood glazed over the mask, forming a black glassy bubble over it. The pentagram stopped glowing, the glass bubble cracked red and shattered. The Jade Lion mask had changed. It was red on top, with the red dripping down over the black bottom half.
She smiled evilly and lifted up the mask, placing it on her face. The straps of the mask came to life and wrapped around her head, holding the mask in place. A red glow surrounded her, giving her red and black armor. She let out a roaring cackle.
(Don't bother trying to translate the spell that she said. Its Latin google translate gibberish XD but down below is what it's meant to say. Also, this chapter ended up being MUCH shorter than I had expected it was going it be XD)
"Break the seal of magic"
"Break the seal of magic."
"Let the blood flow through this stone."
"Let the energy of these five souls fuel the power of my desires."
"Twist and turn this item's desire to better suit my goals."
"Let it fill with the never-ending cold that is my power."
