Ginny Pays The Piper

Fanfic by Brockster550

OC: Viktoriya Krum

It was the day after the second wizarding war ended, and sixteen-year-old Ginny Weasley (identified by her chest-length flaming-red hair, light-brown eyes, and a height of five-foot-two) was strolling through the remains of Hogwarts castle looking for 'her' Harry Potter. Now that the war was over, Ginny believed that this was the right time for her and Harry to get back together. The Weasley girl even tried to dress in the most extravagant clothes (consisting of a short-sleeve button-down green shirt, a pair of tan trousers, and a pair of gold sneakers) she could find to make it easier for her to convince Harry to be her boyfriend again. After searching inside for five to ten minutes without finding Harry, Ginny strolled outside and over to the woods, figuring that he was there. Indeed Harry was there and Ginny saw him sitting on a bench talking to a girl about their age. She had shoulder-length brown hair hanging down, brown eyes, and she was wearing a red short-sleeve t-shirt, a pair of dark-brown shorts, and a pair of brown leather boots. After studying the girl's facial features, Ginny realized that the girl Harry was talking to was Viktor Krum's sister. While she looked cool and calm on the outside, Ginny was blood-boiling with jealousy rage (like she always would whenever she saw any girl with Harry. Ginny walked up to the two while with an exaggerated smile on her face staying cool and calm, not wanting to look like the bad guy.

"Well hello, Harry," Ginny greeted him in an exaggerated sweet-sounding voice. "How are you?"

"Why should I tell you, Ginevra?" Harry replied in a displeased voice. "You never cared about me, so it would be best that you turn around and leave me be."

"I've been a good girl in waiting for you, haven't I?" Ginny responded, trying to sound emotionally hurt (but doing a very bad job at it). "That's why I'm here, to help comfort you."

"Like I'm gonna believe that!" said Harry coldly. "I know when someone is trying to suck up to me and you're a clear example of that. Now walk away, I don't want or need a fangirl of my fame to be harassing me in any way."

"I'm not a fangirl, Harry!" Ginny professed, again trying to sound hurt. "Don't you remember when I defended you from Malfoy that day before I started Hogwarts?"

"Again, you were only sucking up to me!" Harry told Ginny. "There are times when first impressions can matter. When we first 'met,' if one could call it that, you never paid any attention to me nor did you actually try to befriend me. Instead you practically ignored me until you found out I was the Boy-Who-Lived, and you went crazy and kept demanding that you see me. That's behaviour of a spoiled brat. You even reacted the same way when my first year was over, when you spotted me exiting the Hogwarts Express. After that, you started 'behaving nicely' just so I wouldn't become aware of your spoiled brat nature, especially since you pretty much went back to it whenever I wasn't around."

"I still got over it." Ginny asserted.

"Which is a bold-face lie, Ginevra," stated Harry. "I know that you've manipulated me by acting like the sweetest person whenever I was around, but in reality you were spoiled brat. Your actions say it all and you can't fool me that easily. I remember what you told me when we broke up: 'I always knew you wouldn't be happy unless you were hunting Voldemort down.' That ultimately revealed to me that you continue to see me as the Boy-Who-Lived. You've even been trying to mold yourself to my desires and interest to make yourself the so-called perfect girl for me. You never genuinely defended my honour, you only did it when it was convenient for you, but you continued to ignore me and keep your distance from me for like 95% of the time."

"I don't know what you're talking about, Harry!" Ginny continued asserting.

"Yeah, you do!" Harry countered. "I know for a fact that you even called Luna by that nickname 'Loony,' and you even gave Fleur the degrading nickname 'phlegm.' I have no use for a bully, I despise them with a passion."

"How would I even mold myself to your desires and interests?" Ginny replied, playing dumb. ""You never told me what they were or what you planned to do in the future."

"Quidditch was one, and you only wanted to play because I was on the team," Harry relayed. "You even got that membership into Professor Slughorn's Club because I was a part of it. I never told you anything because I never trusted you. But back on topic, you only accepted Neville's invitation to the Yule Ball just so you could get me to notice you. Your worst act was the Chamber of Secrets fiasco, when you wrote in a cursed diary asking it for help in winning the affections of the Boy-Who-Lived while ignoring the fact that I was nothing like your perceived image of your hero and ignoring the fact that I hate my fame with a passion."

"Lucius slipped that diary into my cauldron that day!" Ginny tried defending herself. "Surely, you must know that one."

"It was still your decision to write in the diary," Harry replied, anger clearly in his voice. "You knew better than to trust objects capable of thinking for themselves, and yet you did it anyway. You were helping ole Luci in trying to discredit your own father for his muggle protection proposal act. Not just that, but you were indirectly responsible for my parseltongue abilities getting exposed at the only meeting of the Duel Club and indirectly responsible for me getting blamed for being the Heir of Slytherin. You even let that basilisk loose several times and got several students petrified, including Hermione your so-called best friend."

"I was eleven, I didn't know any better." Ginny tried defending herself again.

"You were old enough to know what you were doing!" Harry continued relaying everything, again in an angry voice. "Since you kept it to yourself and never handed that diary to your father when the diary wrote back to you the first time, that makes you guilty of reckless endangerment and attempted first-degree murder due to the basilisk's deadly gaze and because you waited until that Halloween to make your move, and you were lucky that no one was killed. You even tossed the diary in a girls' lavatory where it could've ended up in the hands of an innocent student. During the time I had a hold of that diary, the attacks stopped. When you stole it back from me to make sure I didn't find out what you wrote in it, you allowed the whole thing to repeat itself and that made your real intentions clear. Even when McGonagall came in to impose those new rules and explain that the school would close unless the culprit behind the attacks was caught, you stayed silent and acted all innocent because you didn't want to get expelled from Hogwarts. You even got yourself dragged into the chamber itself because you still didn't win the affections of the Boy-Who-Lived, effectively setting me up to rescue you. Being a preteen at the time won't justify that, but you still passed yourself off as the victim instead of taking responsibility. When you were confronted by your parents for it, you whined about it by claiming that you didn't know and voiced your concerns about being expelled instead of being concerned about everyone elses' safety while shedding crocodile tears. You even used Dean to make me jealous despite him treating you the way a guy should treat a lady and you were ungrateful. That proved that you're irredeemable, Ginny, no amount of saying sorry will cut it because you'll be known as an attempted murderer for the rest of your days."

"Harry, I don't think you realize what you're saying!" Ginny whimpered, trying her best to continue seeing herself as a victim despite irrefutable evidence thrown in her face.

"I know damn well what I'm saying!" snapped Harry. "If you're going to continue passing yourself off as the victim, then turn around and walk away."

"Shame on you for all that, Ginevra!" the girl growled. "You've been proving yourself to be nothing but a coward because you refuse to take responsibility for your actions. You only want to see yourself as a bloody victim just so you get out of suffering the consequences."

"Nobody asked you!" snapped Ginny. "Just who the hell are you?"

"Viktoriya Krum, or Vikki for short!" said the girl, anger clearly in her voice. "Now you'd better leave me and Harry alone before you get yourself in too deep."

"You don't even know the real Harry, unlike me," Ginny asserted again. "You haven't been around him as long as I have."

"You're the one who doesn't know the real Harry!" Vikki retorted.

"What do you know about the real Harry then?" Ginny challenged. "What do you have in common with him?"

"We both know what it's like being treated as a prize to be won," stated Vikki, as Harry nodded his head in confirmation. "Given Viktor's fame as Bulgaria's seeker, I've had guys around his age and my age giving me lustful looks and try to hook up with me, which is very creepy. Harry even told me how the rare moments you notice him, you just stare at him and how it creeps him out. You even tend to follow him around wherever he goes, which makes you a stalker. Unlike us, you tend to enjoy being a prize to be won since you always favoured the spotlight. Now this is your last chance to turn around and leave us alone before you bite off more than you can chew."

"How could you have even met my Harry?" Ginny demanded.

"At your brother and sister-in-law's wedding, since they invited Viktor to attend," Vikki revealed. "And they even gave Viktor permission to invite me along. While you were too busy throwing a temper tantrum over Harry 'breaking up' with you, I took that opportunity to introduce myself to Harry and we hit it off. If you continue to ginore the warning to leave us alone, you'll find yourself in hot water, Ginevra."

"Then let's have a fight," Ginny proposed. "Since you need to bloody understand that Harry is mine, always has been and always will be."

"In your dreams, Ginevra," Vikki retorted. "Harry hates being seen as a prize to be won. Now be gone with you."

"Then Harry is mine, like I said, you bimbo!" Ginny sneered.

"Then we'll do it with a fistfight," Vikki insisted, breathing a sigh of exasperation. "Magic is too easy to use."

"I only know to fight with magic!" Ginny whined.

"Either we do it with fist fighting, or you walk away and leave us alone," Vikki gave the ultimatum, fixing Ginny with a nasty glare to show that she meant business. "I'm standing by that because unarmed fighting is more challenging and rewarding."

Desperate to get back with Harry, Ginny stomped towards the two and tried to punch Vikki in the face. Vikki expertly dodged the attack and put her fists in front of her, just as Ginny put her fists up and held them near the sides of her head (which left her face wide open for attack). Ginny didn't realize that Neville, Luna, Cho, Ron, and Hermione were walking by and witnessed the fight. More members of Dumbledore's Army showed up and spotted the fight starting to break out. Vikki managed to get a couple hits to Ginny's face. The jealous Weasley girl even tried to punch Vikki again, but she dodged that by ducking while keeping her fists in front of her face. Vikki managed to get another three hits to Ginny's face, much to her shock. Refusing to give up, Ginny continued her attempts to land some hits, but Vikki continued to dodge the attacks expertly. That earned some cheers for Vikki, since everyone knew how much of a spoiled brat Ginny was. Ginny tried to cheat by reaching into her pocket to whip her wand out, but then Harry cleared his throat and folded his arms across his chest while glaring at her as a warning to keep it as a fistfight. Several more witnesses pulled their wands out and pointed them at Ginny to make the warning even more clear. Ginny continued throwing punches at Vikki, who continued dodging them expertly. It got to the point where Ginny began breathing from exhaustion.

"I think it's time for you to throw in the towel, Ginevra," said Vikki in a matter-of-fact voice. "Otherwise, the whole process will repeat itself. I've been trained in fighting classes for years."

Still refusing to give up, Ginny tried one last punch to Vikki's nose. But alas, Vikki dodged the attack and punched Ginny in the nose. Ginny squeezed her eyes shut tightly as stars danced through her vision just as she got down on her knees and leaned forward. Cheers erupted when the witnesses knew that Vikki won the fight fair and square. Then Harry and Vikki walked into the woods hand in hand to resume their alone time, just as Fred and George grabbed the back of Ginny's shirt and pulled her back up to her feet and dragged her away to have her explain to her parents what she did. Ginny even tried whining to get out of her predicament, but her twin brothers ignored it. Ginny even whined about how life was so unfair, which earned her some snickers since they knew that life wasn't always fair. For Harry, he had somebody who cared for him and saw him for just Harry. For once, luck was on his side.

The End!
