Nymphadora Tonks
Ginny was busy wandering the corridors of Hogwarts, looking for her hero Harry Potter (or rather, the Boy-Who-Lived). It was the morning after the Second Wizarding War and the Battle of Hogwarts ended, and the Weasley girl believed that this was the right time for her to get back together with Harry. After all, she had been a good girl in waiting for him to return. It never entered Ginny's mind that Harry wasn't somebody who could be fooled easily. Ginny also believed that Harry wouldn't find out about her shagging a different number of guys throughout the year as long as she made sure never to speak of it especially in his presence. The Weasley girl reached a classroom door located in a corridor on the fourth floor and, upon hearing some kissing, Ginny barged her way in to discover not only Harry, but another Ginny wearing a brown trench coat for some reason. Harry and the Ginny he was kissing stopped and looked over at Ginny with gasps. Harry kept looking over at the two Ginnys, seemingly shocked to see them.
"Harry, how could you... do this... to me?" Ginny exclaimed, feeling tears welling up.
"Wha... I... uh... well, um...!" Harry responded, apparently too shocked to do so properly.
"Kissing another me?!" Ginny exclaimed again, already on the verge of freaking out. "Why would you just assume that the real me was pathetic while a fake me was everything you ever hoped for?"
"Well, uh... see here...!" Harry responded again, apparently still too shock for proper speaking.
"You truly are pathetic, Ginny!" the other Ginny told her.
That was when 'she' morphed into Nymphadora Tonks, or Tonks as she preferred. Harry was smirking when that happened, which meant that he knew that the Ginny he was kissing was a fake one all along. Ginny felt her jaw drop open in utter shock to see that Tonks had been using her metamorphmagus abilities to impersonate her. Harry and Tonks were trying their best to suppress their giggles because Ginny's expression was priceless.
"Lupin wouldn't like... like you cheating on... on him!" Ginny stammered at Tonks.
"Remus and I were never dating!" Tonks revealed in a delighted voice, with Harry nodding his head to confirm it. "Harry and I have been dating in secret, with Remus and my parents being the only ones who know about it. I was pretending to date Remus to throw everyone off track."
"But you and Remus were supposed to be dead!" Ginny replied in a near shrill-like voice.
"We were playing dead, so Remus and I could be escorted to the hospital wing to be with Harry," Tonks explained to Ginny. "We knew that Harry didn't want anybody hounding him to thank him for taking Voldemort down. He hates it when people see him as the Boy-Who-Lived, and you always saw him that way and always will."
"I got over that!" snapped Ginny. "I was waiting for him to come back like the good girl I've been."
"Which was only an act, Ginny!" Harry retorted. "Your departing words for me were: I always knew you wouldn't be happy unless you were hunting Voldemort down. That was all I needed to know that you were never going to get over your crush on the Boy-Who-Lived. I didn't ask to be the Boy-Who-Lived, I didn't ask to be stared at and have others whispering whenever I was around, I didn't ask for Voldemort to paint a bloody target on the back of my head, I wasn't asked if I wanted to take Voldemort down, I didn't ask for my life to be controlled by certain people, and I never asked that my chances for a family to be ruined in any way."
"Not to mention that Harry was tested positive for being under the influence of Amortentia and confundus charms," Tonks informed the Weasley girl. "The Amortentia was keyed to you and the confundus charms were cast by Hermione to make sure he couldn't stop thinking about you. Hermione was arrested this morning after the tests of Harry being under both came out positive. It was also revealed that you don't have the grades to be good at brewing potions, so Hermione and your mother brewed up plenty of Amortentia keyed to you to make sure Harry would stay infatuated with you. What was strange was that Harry was immune to the effects of Amortentia."
"Yes," Harry told Ginny. "That was because my blood became imbued with the combination of basilisk venom and phoenix tears, granting me full immunity to all poisons. But it didn't stop me from being vulnerable to confundus charms to continue making me 'head over heels' for you. Another one was added to make me plant that kiss on your lips, you were even expecting that to happen 100%. You dating Michael Corner and, quickly after that, Dean Thomas was never genuine. You used them to make me jealous and have me come after you. I remember your mother telling you and Hermione a story of how she brewed up a love potion and drugged your father with it; and how you three were rather giggly over that. Love potions renders victims as a puppet for the duration of their effects, the wizarding world's equivalent to date-rape drugs from the muggle world. As mentioned, the phoenix tears and basilisk venom imbued into my blood has granted me full immunity to poisons of any kind. When I came to your so-called rescue from the Chamber of Secrets near the end of that year, the basilisk fang got me when I stabbed it through the roof of it's head. It would've killed me if Fawkes hadn't dropped some of his tears onto my wound and healing it. Alot of my injuries also began healing since phoenix tears have healing powers."
"How was you rescuing me fake?" asked Ginny.
"Because you set me up to rescue you, Ginny!" snapped Harry. "That whole fiasco happened because of you."
"I was possessed, Harry!" Ginny cried, trying her hardest to defend herself. "Malfoy's father was at fault because he was the one who slipped the diary into my cauldron."
"How typical of a spoiled brat such as yourself trying to play the victim to escape the consequences for their actions!" Harry replied in an angry voice. "Lucius may have planted that diary into your cauldron, but it was your decision to write in that cursed diary and keeping the whole thing to yourself. You could've and should've given the diary to your dad when it wrote back to you the first time. Since you waited until you were here at school and on Halloween no less, that makes you guilty of reckless endangerment and multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder, by proxy or not won't matter. The reason you're guilty of the counts of attempted first-degree murder was because the basilisk kills with it's gaze and waiting until Halloween also made it even more clear that you planned for it to happen since you decided to follow that memory of Tom Riddle's so-called instructions on winning the affections of the Boy-Who-Lived. You even tampered with evidence when you tried disposing the diary in a girls' lavatory without a care that the diary could've ended up in the hands of another innocent student. During the time I had a hold of it, the attacks stopped."
"See? You could've handed the diary to McGonagall or Dumbledore." Ginny cried.
"On the outside it would've looked like a harmless ordinary diary," said Harry. "And it would've been unlikely that they would've believed me. Since some of my other manipulators continued keeping me in the dark about our world and how it worked, I wasn't sure of what else to do. As soon as you stole the diary back to prevent me from finding out what you've written in that diary, the attacks started up again that resulted in Penelope and Hermione turning up petrified, resulting in another count of tampering with evidence. After McGonagall came in to impose those new rules because of your selfish carelessness, she even said that the school would close unless the culprit behind the attacks was caught. You didn't speak up, you continued to be selfish by staying silent because you didn't want to get expelled from Hogwarts. When you were finally caught, you whined to your mother that you didn't know the diary could think for itself while voicing your concerns of facing expulsion instead of being concerned for the safety of your fellow students, you were even shedding crocodile tears when you did that. You should've known better than to trust an object capable of thinking for itself, especially with your dad working for the ministry and your brother Bill working as a Gringotts curse breaker. Not just that, but since you were issued a wand at the age of eleven, you were old enough to take responsibility for your actions."
"The Boy-Who-Lived would never say that about me!" whined Ginny. "Only a wannabe of my hero would make up alot of that just to slander me."
"I'm not the Boy-Who-Lived, Ginny," Harry retorted. "Or rather I'm not your perceived image of him anyway. If you knew and acknowledged the real me, you would've understood how much I hate my fame as the Boy-Who-Lived. I would give that up to have my parents back, but no spell can reawaken the dead."
"Yes," Tonks began explaining to Ginny. "I got Harry away from the Dursleys as soon as I could after his fifth year ended. My parents and myself made sure to give him the love and affection he'd been craving for for as long as he could remember. We even spent alot of time in the muggle world so Harry wouldn't have to be hounded by the media."
"Tonks and I gradually realized our feelings for each other," Harry explained to Ginny (who was trembling with jealousy rage). "But Tonks wasn't ready to leave her job as an auror to give the ministry some time to find a new one, even if she told the then new minister that she was resigning. I even told Tonks that I didn't want to plan on becoming an auror anymore because I realized that there was always going to someone in the ministry who wanted to use my fame for selfish goals. Plus, being an auror would've resulted in me continuing to keep up the unwanted image of the Boy-Who-Lived. Remus even offered to perform decoy duty to make sure that no rabid fangirl, you especially, would try to tear Tonks apart."
"It was a couple weeks before Christmas when Harry came to my flat," stated Tonks. "He had a locket with him and he revealed that Ron and Hermione bailed out on him. Harry and I even made love to each other because of the stress of being apart for several months and we couldn't take it anymore. We even got his scar checked at Gringotts and we discovered what was revealed to be one of Voldemort's soul fragments. That resulted in the goblins going on full alert and checking the vaults for any dark artefacts. My aunt Bellatrix had Helga Hufflepuff's cup with the same soul fragment of Voldemort's residing in it in her vault, and the locket Harry had also contain a soul fragment of Voldemort's. All three of the soul fragments were sealed in shatter-proof vials and taken to an incinerator that would be as powerful as fiendfyre."
"Kreacher even found Ravenclaw's diadem in the Room of Requirement," Harry explained. "He brought it to me and I went down into the Chamber of Secrets to stab the diadem with one of the basilisk's fangs and destroy the soul fragment of Voldemort's in it."
"After Neville Longbottom swung Gryffindor's sword and sliced through that snake of Voldemort's, he handed the sword to Harry before helping Luna in distracting Voldemort." Tonks told Ginny. "Harry used the sword to slice through Voldemort and end his life once and for all. My aunt Bellatrix even tried charging at Harry behind his back in retaliation, only for Neville to cast the full-body bind on her. That allowed the aurors to arrest her and the rest of the death eaters who survived and surrendered."
"Now that Kingsley will be taking over as minister and having it de-corrupted," Harry told Ginny. "He's going to see to it that Bellatrix will be sentenced to death through the veil. It's been clear for the longest time that she's too dangerous to be kept alive."
"Not just that," Tonks started revealing to the Weasley girl, as she unbuttoned and pulled the front of her coat open to reveal a pair of jeans, a pair of leather shoes, and a red-short-sleeve polo shirt that was covering some kind of bump on her stomach. "I'm pregnant with Harry's child. I've been pregnant for almost five months now!"
Ginny was so enraged that Tonks 'stole her man' that she snapped and charged at the former auror with a venomous growl. Harry and Tonks whipped their wands out, with Tonks casting a bounce-back charm on Ginny and allowed Harry the chance to cast the full-body bind on the Weasley girl. Ginny felt her arms snap to her sides and her legs snapped together before she fell over backwards, leaving her to only stare up at the ceiling. Harry left the classroom to find some aurors while Tonks (as she buttoned her coat back up) kept watch over Ginny. It didn't take Harry long to return with Kingsley and four aurors, and they pointed their wands at Ginny just as Kingsley cancelled the bind. Kingsley read Ginny her rights as she was placed in magic-suppression handcuffs. Ginny struggled to free herself and kicked out at the aurors trying to arrest her, resulting in Ginny having resisting arrest; and assault and battery on an auror added to her record. She began shedding crocodile tears and whining for Harry to call it off, which naturally fell on deaf ears.
"Are you ready to go home?" Harry asked Tonks.
Tonks nodded her head to let Harry know that she was, with her hair turning bubblegum-pink as that happened. Tonks was still living in her flat because she was required to stay there for at least two more months before she can move out and live with Harry at his family manor. Upon returning to the flat, Tonks walked into her bedroom to change into lounge wear consisting of a pair of gray trousers and a red short-sleeve t-shirt. When she left her room and approached Harry, the two embraced each other with a passionate kiss on the lips. When they finished, Harry stepped back a little while Tonks lifted her shirt up to reveal her pregnant belly. After she smoothly rub her belly with her hands for a minute or so, Harry had his turn in running his hands smoothly over Tonks' stomach (the feeling of which made her shiver from excitement, with goosebumps flaring up). Then Harry got down on one knee to be level with Tonks' belly and gave it an affectionate kiss as if to tell his future son or daughter how much loved him or her. Then Harry helped Tonks over to a living room armchair and getting her as comfortable as possible. Then Harry went to cook some lunch, making sure Tonks would get more food because being pregnant required more food. Sometimes Tonks would get weird food cravings, which was another thing that came with being pregnant. Remus even stopped by and offered some assistance, which resulted in him being named godfather to Harry and Tonks' child.
The end of the month was when Ginny's hearing took place, long after the funerals and cleanup at Hogwarts was finished. In the few weeks preceding the hearing, Molly, Ron, and Hermione were caught and arrested when Ginny (under the influence of truth serum after receiving Arthur's permission) revealed that they were helping Dumbledore out in keeping Harry 'in line' to ensure that he fulfilled the prophecy for the Greater Good by spying on him for the deceased former headmaster. All of the Order of Marlin awards Dumbledore won had been subsequently stripped and his headmaster portrait at Hogwarts was also removed. Given the nature of Ginny's crimes from the time she allowed the Chamber of Secrets fiasco to happen until the day she was arrested, the defendant normally would've been sentenced to death by the veil. Since Ginny was still a minor, she was sentenced to life in Azkaban without the possibility of parole. Molly was guilty of brewing dangerous love potions and sneaking them into Arthur's drinks keyed to herself and sneaking love potions keyed to Ginny into Harry's drinks. Since she was unsuccessful, Molly was sentenced to fifty years in Azkaban and then twenty-five years in the Gringotts prison mines after that.
Hermione also helped out with that combined with espionage, but it was eventually found out that she also used the jinxed parchment with the members of Dumbledore's Army that subsequently disfigured Marietta Edgecombe, which made Hermione guilty of aggravated assault since she revealed the jinx to be permanent. On behalf of Marietta and her family, Hermione was sentenced to restitution and the rest of her life behind bars. Harry suggested that Hermione use her magical talent to brew up potions for the wizarding community and even research for cures for different ailments such as lycanthropy and long-term Cruciatus exposure for example, and having her being kept in a ministry cell while researching and brewing potions under the supervision of the unspeakables. While Ron wasn't entirely guiltless, he was innocent of the love potions and confundus charms but still guilty of espionage. Ron was sentenced to ten to fifteen years in Azkaban, where he could get out after ten years for good behaviour and be under supervised parole. Ultimately, Ron was always going to be remembered as the man who betrayed Harry several times, with Hermione always being remembered as the hypocritical woman who also betrayed Harry one too many times. As expected, Bellatrix had been sentenced to death by the veil.
Harry and Tonks tied the knot on June 15th in a muggle-style wedding in the backyard of Tonks' parents house, with only a handful of friends and family because neither Harry nor Tonks wanted a big one with the media there. Neville was Harry's best man, with Luna being the maid of honor. Harry even talked that one over with Tonks, feeling that he owed Luna for helping him dig that grave for Dobby by muggle means. Tonks understood that and happily allowed Luna to be the maid of honor. Hagrid, Oliver Wood, Lee Jordan, and the rest of the male Weasleys attended the wedding, Fred happened to survive the war by using a decoy to throw the death eaters off track. Percy also attended after he made amends with the family. Even the Gryffindor chaser trio attended the wedding, they were excited to see their surrogate little brother getting married. Fleur also attended, with her parents and sister also being invited. As Tonks marched her way towards Harry down the wedding aisle, the guests who watched her heading towards the archway began shedding happy tears. The same guests even saw the baby bump on Tonks' tummy having gotten bigger and were ready for the moment Harry and Tonks' first child was born. Tonks had a charm placed on her to prevent her from throwing up during the wedding, since she and Harry didn't want to risk giving their baby any deformities with potion treatments.
For their honeymoon, Harry and Tonks stayed at one of the properties owned by the Potter family on an island to the southwest of Ireland. After a week of staying there, they returned home and went to St. Mungo's to find out the gender of their baby. It turned out that they were having fraternal twins after some spells were used due to Tonks' belly being bigger than it would've been if she were pregnant with only one child. It turned out that the fraternal twins were going to made up of a boy and a girl. On September 10, 1998; the Potter twins were born. The daughter was born first, with Tonks being the one to name her: Phoebe Celeste Potter. Thirty-three minutes later, their son was born, with Harry naming him: Kenneth Neville Potter. The twins had the same hair colour as their mother, chestnut-brown. But Kenneth had the same eye colour as Harry's, emerald-green; whereas Phoebe had the same brown eyes as her mother. The twins' facial features had some of Harry's and some of Tonks'. Ted and Andromeda came by as much as they could, that was how excited they were to be grandparents. Remus also took the time to bond with his godchildren, with Harry and Tonks taking the precautions to the best they could when it came for Remus' transformation every fortnight.
/Scene break\
Nearly six years have passed since Phoebe and Kenneth were born, and now they were in school uniforms getting ready to start their very first day of their first year at St. Herbert's Primary School located not too far away from Ted's parents' house. Harry didn't want his children to go to St. Grogery's Primary School due to his terrible past there and his desire to stay away from Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia. They would occasionally visit Dudley and his family, since Dudley changed after Harry saved him from the dementors in the summer of 1995. Harry and Tonks were strictly adamant that their children attend primary school before they started their magical education. Harry and Tonks even put some magical blocks on their children to prevent any accidental bouts of magic (which would last until their muggle education came to an end). Between the twins, Kenneth was a confident five going-on six-year-old, and he was walking towards the school entrance with a grin on his face after hugging his parents goodbye. Phoebe was a shy girl with a tendency to get overwhelmed in situations like going to school for the first time. Phoebe had her arms wrapped around her mother's legs with tears in her eyes, scared to be going to school for the first time.
"I don't wanna go!" Phoebe cried.
"Why not, sweetie?" Tonks asked her daughter in a soft voice.
"I just don't wanna go!" Phoebe cried again.
"I know it's scary going to school for the first time," Tonks assured her daughter in a soothing voice. "But it'll be alright. Your first day will be easy, since that helps children get used to being in school during the week."
"I'm still scared!" Phoebe cried once more.
"How about your mother and I walk you up to the front door?" Harry offered. "To try to help you get comfortable in arriving for school."
Phoebe grinned some and nodded her head, then Harry and Tonk held their daughter's hands (she was standing in between her parents) and walked over to the entrance doors. When they were close enough, Harry and Tonks let go of their daughter's hands. Then they gave Phoebe comforting and encouraging pats on her shoulders. As Phoebe walked in through the school entrance, Harry and Tonks kept an eye on her until she climbed up the stairs since Phoebe's classroom was on the second floor while Kenneth's classroom was on the first floor. Then Harry and Tonks walked away from the school entrance to find an alley so Tonks could apparate back to Potter Manor while Harry would apparate to an alley close to the Leaky Cauldron, since he was working at Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes.
"Phoebe will be okay," Harry assured his wife. "She'll have fun once she gets eased into the day."
"Yeah," Tonks replied with a little worry in her voice. "It's all a big adjustment for us. The day our kids go to school for the first time, I just can't believe that day is already here."
"There will be going to pick them up this afternoon," stated Harry. "Where Kenny and Phoebe will get to tell us about their first day at school."
Tonks smiled in agreement, as she was also looking forward to hearing about their kids' first day. As soon as they found an abandoned alley, Tonks returned home while Harry headed for the Leaky Cauldron to go to work. Even though the Potters had more than enough money, Harry wanted to help the Weasley twins out with their joke shop. Since he had a loving and caring family along with raising two kids, and with having friends and adults willing to be positive role models for him, Harry had the best life he could've ever hoped for. All was well!
The End!
Author's note: I'd like to give a shoutout to the user 'Chaos Snow Kitsune' for suggesting that Tonks use her metamorphmagus abilities to morph into Ginny, have Ginny freak out to see Harry kissing a fake Ginny, and that Harry pretend to be stunned and eventually reveal that he knew the Ginny he was kissing was a fake one all along. Tonks being pregnant with Harry's twins and Remus pretending to date Tonks as part of the decoy plan were idea I came up with, but the main idea belongs to Chaos Snow Kitsune.
