Ok short note this chapter is a bit all over the place, I do apologize for any misspelling and grammar. Enjoy…I guess.
Today is a sorrowful day. Today we lost a beautiful, kind, wise, unique and spiritual soul. Her name is Mama Odie, also Sheila Bennett. The day started off pretty normal, Peaches going to the Salvatore house,
At the Salvatore Boarding House, Damon is in the study, reading through Giuseppe Salvatore's journal and still covered with hot pink glitter paint. Stefan and Elena enter the room with an anxious look on their faces with hints of laughter.
"What happened to you?" Stefan asked amusedly.
"Don't know. Other than someone messing with my car. Again. When I find them I'm going to kill them." Damon does not look up at them because he's still pissed off for multiple reasons, one being his car being taper with...again.
Elena takes off her jacket and sits on the couch and Stefan takes a seat next to her. Damon glares at them before going back to the journal.
"I don't understand, I thought you said the book would be in the tomb." Elena said to Stefan.
"So did we, I can't believe the book wasn't there. I was sure it was."
Damon slams the journal, "Ok! Let's say that I forget that two betrayed me, which I won't! But the grimoire is still missing and this journal and the Gilbert's are useless!"
Elena tried not to roll her eyes and sighed, "Is there any other place he could have put it? Or gave it to someone else?"
Stefan shook his head, "No. Like I said the Salvatore Tomb wasn't built until well after he died. And none of the journals said they have it or pass it on. They all point to that journal and the Gilbert's. The only thing I can think of is Emily herself, stole it back and put it somewhere. Or there is another journal that no one wrote about."
"But Emily destroyed the necklace, so she could have destroyed the grimoire but witches don't do that." Damon thought out loud and started thinking.
"Why?" Elena asked.
"To pass down the power and knowledge in their family." Stefan explained to Elena.
"Huh." Damon got up suddenly and walked out of the room.
"Where is he going? Where are you going?" Elena worried.
"To get answers." Damon said and slammed the door.
"Please tell me he's not going to Bonnie's."
"I hope not. What about Anna?"
"I don't know…"
A worried and fearful look passes on Elena's pretty face and Stefan hugs her. Once Elena calmed down she went outside to try and call Bonnie but no one answered. Then she called up Sin, who answered.
'Whatever the Sheriff said, I didn't do it!'
"W-What?"
'What? Oh hey Lena, what's up?'
"Hey Sin, quick question."
'Shoot!'
"What is this pen pal like?"
'…Well took you long enough but they're kind and compassionate just like you. You two have a lot in common like caring about what happened to others and it. And they happened to be great listeners.'
"Thanks."
'Do you want the number?'
"...Yes."
Java and Pretty Girl are at the Grill doing homework and hanging out. She-Wolf and Duke are working as well while talking to Puppy. Oh and Yours Truly found the Gilbert Journal at school, I guess Mr. Soona dropped it by accident. And Soona is Mr. S, I changed his nickname. He-he!
Jeremy and Anna are sitting at a table, doing homework, Sin comes by to help them whenever they need it while grabbing orders from nearby tables.
Nearby, Tyler is shooting pool while Matt cleans a table and talks to Tyler.
"Ten kegs? You know how much damage we could do with ten kegs? Duke's got it all hooked up." The Puppy is all excited for the party.
"Duke's a douche." Matt points out with some excitement as he cleans.
"Yeah, a douche with ten kegs. Aka, my new best friend."
Sin scoffs, Jeremy huffs in annoyances and Anna rolls her eyes.
"What's the problem, Silvio?" Tyler puffed up his chest and asked as he set up for his next shot on the pool table.
Sin saw this and rolled her eyes and leaned against Jer's and Anna's table, "Don't have one, Lockwood. How 'bout you?"
Tyler backs down at her glare, knowing he won't win against the blonde who has made his life a living hell before, "Whatever."
Sin smirked and walked away to another table and placed their orders.
"Yeah, I didn't think so." He was trying to one up her but didn't succeed as Sin just smirked.
Matt doesn't like when his friends fight or when Tyler acts like he's top dog when really Sin is. Luckily she reminds him each and every time... which is quite amusing…for everyone else. "Do you ever get bored of it?"
"Of what?"
"Yourself." Matt walks off and Jeremy laughs quietly and Anna punches him to focus on their work. Anna may be good at History and English but Math kicks her ass from time to time.
Tyler looks at Jeremy, "Yeah. Keep laughing, buddy."
Caroline enters the Grill and walks over to Jeremy and Anna. "Hey, Jeremy. Anna. Where is Elena? I've been texting her and Bonnie all day about Duke's party."
Jeremy looks around the Grill and says, "Uh, she went somewhere with Stefan."
"And Bonnie is hanging out with this really hot guy." Anna adds in her two cents as she erases a problem before giving up with a sigh and Jeremy giggles at her defeat, she just flicks his forehead.
Caroline sighs, "I am so not going to be one of those girls who disappears just because she has a new boyfriend."
"Who is Duke?" Anna asked and put her books away, as she moved the conversation into a different direction.
Caroline shrugged, "Some guy that graduated a couple of years ago. And he throws a party every time he comes home from Duke."
"Wait, Duke goes to Duke?" Jeremy smiles and asks in disbelief.
"His real name's Bob or something." Jeremy and Anna laugh quietly. "He's a total ass. But he buys the beer. You know, you two should come."
"Uh, yeah, I - I don't think so." Jeremy puts on his beanie and stutters.
"No, seriously. Everyone goes. Even quiet loner little brothers and their beautiful girlfriends." Caroline sees Matt and Sin. "Think about it." Caroline walks up to Matt and Sin, "Hey!"
"Hey." Matt greets the pretty blonde with a handsome smile.
"Hey yourself." Sin smirks with the grace of a wolf.
Caroline rolls her eyes at her friends' weirdness, "So, I have a speech. It is fully scripted and well-rehearsed. Are you ready for it?"
"You wrote a speech?"
"Who's it for?" Sin asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Matt."
Sin pinch her lips together and nodded as she quickly walked away, "Ok I'm out. Later."
"Bye! Yes. It's a "You kissed me and I don't want things to be weird" speech. It's preemptive." Caroline explained.
Matt chuckles, "Preemptive?"
"Yeah, you know, in case you were having second thoughts or regrets, or were, like, ooged out-"
"Ooged, huh?"
"Can I just get on with the speech part?" Caroline asked with a slight annoyed tone.
Matt chuckled a little before nodding, "Yeah, go for it."
"So I know that you don't think that this is going to work out between us. I just want to let you know that right here and right now, I totally agree but it feels right to have you as a friend who I can talk to and the kiss was definitely..."
"Weird? Yeah it was a little and thank you but I'm good. How about you?"
"I don't want to make assumptions about what it is we're doing here."
"Caroline. We're good."
"Okay. So, see you for Duke's tonight."
"Yeah." Matt smiles and gets back to work. Caroline laughs happily. Sin looks at them and smiles as she pours water into a cup for a customer.
Stripper decided to mess with Mama Odie but she got him to go away. Mom and I were visiting Mama Odie for a few reasons, mom needed to talk to her privately and I wanted to ask her a question.
Sheila and Jenna are in the living room, reading through Emily's grimoire, taking notes and whatnot. Mia is outside either dancing or making new animal friends.
Damon knocks on the front door. Sheila opens it. "Yes?"
"Hi there. I'm, uh, looking for Bonnie."
"She's not here."
"Oh, well do you know when she-"
"Never." Sheila stated sharply while cutting him off.
Damon chuckles, "You have quite an opinion for someone who doesn't know me."
"You got some nerve knocking on a Bennett witch's door and asking her for anything."
"What'd I do?"
"Spirits talk, Mr. Salvatore, and so does my granddaughter. You are no friend to us. Now get off my porch."
Damon takes a step closer to Sheila. "Step outside and say that."
Sheila stares at Damon. Suddenly, Damon groans and holds his head which feels like it's exploding. Damon starts to back and Sheila steps out onto the porch.
"I am not Bonnie. You don't want to mess with me." Sheila goes back into her house and slams the door shut, breathing heavily as she leans against the front door.
"Who was that? Are you ok?" Jenna asked and instantly by Sheila's side.
"Yes and it was the eldest Salvatore, Damon I believe." They walked to the couch and Jenna handed her a glass of lemonade.
"Ah yeah, him. The girls don't speak very highly of him."
"I wonder why..." Sheila chuckled, "Now I found the spell that's connected to the comet and the necklace but we're missing the necklace."
Something clicked inside Jenna's head and asked, "Sheila... is it possible for magic to move into another object?"
"Yes and no. Emily herself would have to move the magic, it would have to be an object the successor is protected by."
"Say like an emerald necklace with a feather-like design?"
"Yes. That would do it." The grandmother nodded.
"Hm ok. So is there a backup spell just in case?"
"Yes and this spell, done right, could kill either Bonnie or I."
"I hope it doesn't come to that."
"Hopefully..." Sheila had a glassy look in her eyes and sighed. She rubbed her head hoping for the headache to go away.
"Sheila what's wrong?"
"Nothing for you to worry about."
"Sheila, I know the signs a little too well. Please."
"Thea's mother I presume." Jenna nodded. "I knew for a while now and I don't have much time left but I do know once I pass, my magic will belong to my granddaughter."
"Think she can handle it?"
"With that man by her side, I have no worries or doubts."
"What man?"
"A youngish man by the name of Kol."
"Kol? Tall, smooth talker, killer looks and a vampire."
"You know him."
"He's a friend and I know he'll never hurt a witch, especially one like Bonnie." Jenna chuckled, "Can you keep an eye on Mia? As it turns out Carolina found one of her pranks."
"Oh, tell the Sheriff I said hi."
"Will do. And Sheila, tell Bonnie, it would be better for her if it came from you then her finding out the hard way."
Sheila had tears building up and hugged Jenna tightly and whispered, "Thank you."
"No problem." Jenna whispered back and pulled away to yell, "Mia! I got to go."
Mia came running in hugging her mom well all her might, "Bye Mom, be safe."
"Always. I'll be back. Love you!"
"Love you too."
Mia and Sheila were outside watching Jenna leave the driveway before Sheila asked, "So want to learn how to read palm or tarot cards?"
"Yes!"
Once they got comfortable and laid out the cards and oil for the session both had a few things on their minds.
"Mama Odie?" Mia wanted to ask because she too has seen the signs and she's worried for the woman she calls a grandma.
"Yes Lil One?"
"Are you sick?" Mia bluntly asked.
Sheila was taken back by the little girl and just remembered once again the girl is too smart for her own good."... Why do you ask?"
"Your aura is dim, kind of like..." Mia trails off remembering a time when her momma was sick during the accident.
Sheila laughed silently, "You're a special one, one with unique talents. Yes I am."
Mia gets up to hug Sheila. Sheila hugs her back just as fiercely and gratefully to whoever made the girl and comes into her life, because Mia is like another granddaughter to the woman.
"You and mama are going to be great friends." Mia sly said, earning a chuckle from the older woman.
"Hey now. I'm still kicking but thank you." And kiss the small girl's forehead.
After that Sheila taught Mia how to read tarot cards and palms, the Lil One picked it up quickly but had a problem with some of the cards that represented death, the devil, angel and anything divinity.
"Soo. Are you really a witch?"
"Oh my Lil One, you really are too much sometimes!"
"I know."
"I pity the one you're bonded to for life with." They laughed and enjoyed the rest of their snacks and drinks until Jenna came back.
Judgy and Joker are hanging out and going on their second date which surprise, surprise the karaoke bar…again,
"You surprised me."
"I hope that's a good thing."
"It is. You can actually sing a Kat Graham song and not mess it up."
"Hey! You're rude." Bonnie, shoulder bumped the taller man.
"Nope, just honest. And you know you love it Little Witch." They laughed and left the Karaoke Bar, just to walk around the park.
"So, vampire…" Bonnie looked up at him beneath her eyelashes.
"I was wondering when you were going to ask. Ah, well what do you want to know?"
"Umm, do you kill for fun?"
Kol knew that was going to happen and held her hand, "Oh, hard questions first I see. Makes sense. I used to, back when I didn't understand what was going on with myself. All I knew was I was stronger, faster, retain information better, my eyesight cleared up and I could see for miles and miles, hear the next town over and smell, oh God the smell..." Bonnie giggled at his face. "Everything I felt was intense, it still is but control is key. Well sometimes… But all in all, when I was a kid I was the troublemaker, hell I still am. But some didn't like that so I was bullied until I turned and next thing I knew blood was everywhere. I didn't feel horrified or anything just… satisfied, I guess... I was like that for a long time before I met someone and I found out I had other talents within my vamp side. But no I don't kill for fun. Only when needed."
Kol looked at the witch beside him and saw she still held his hand and she thought over his story. Finally she looks at him and smiles, "Thank you for being honest, I didn't realize vampires had a hard time."
"Hope I didn't scare you away, but when someone chooses to be one they have a different outlook on the experience then someone who was forced to. I was like you, a witch."
Bonnie snaps her head toward which makes a cracking sound. Kol flinched for her.
"Really? But what happened to your powers…"
"Balance Daring, but I've been trying to find a way I got a couple of leads and others checking them out but I do miss magic. Don't ever take it for granted. And don't let some young vampire tell you how to use your magic either. It's yours, not theirs."
The pretty woman puts a hand on his cheek and kisses it, "How do you know when to say the right thing?" They both sport a blush as they smile at one another.
"I've been around Little Witch."
"Ok how old are you?"
Kol had a look of debating what to say but he just gave a smirk and kissed her before grinning like a kid and got ready to run, "Pass!" He ran away from the red-faced witch, who started to chase him.
"What the-! Kol! Come on! Kol! Don't you dare run away! Kol!"
They were running around the park, laughing, stealing kisses and having fun like the teenagers they are.
Pretty Girl told me Stripper was bugging her about something.
Anna is walking through the Town Square with Jeremy. Damon sees her from the Grill and suddenly he remembers her.
"So Anna..."
"So Jeremy."
They laugh quite nervously but calm down just a bit. It's very cute.
"Hey, do you really want to go to the party tonight?" Jeremy asked.
"I don't know, after all I might have that thing going on."
"Speaking of which... ok party first. It's been a while since I've been to a party, and I kind of want to get back out there. And not be such a - a loner. And, uh, I like you. You're fun, and you're also kind of strange and lurky but, uh, I guess I like that, too. So, yeah, you should come to the party. With me. It's in the woods by that old cemetery." Jeremy hoped the beautiful girl would say yes.
Anna's eyebrows raised up just a bit, "The old cemetery? Funny that's where she is. But it does sound cool."
"Ok and the whole vampire thing..."
"Can we talk about that another day?"
"Yes but you're going to tell me right?"
"Yes. So. Uh, I'll meet you."
"Oh. Okay! Great."
Anna starts to walk away. Jeremy watches her. "Cool."
"Okay." Anna glances back at him and Jeremy leaves. Anna looks around, and suddenly, Damon appears next to her. Damon grabs Anna by the throat and vamp speeds her into an alley. Anna also grabs a hold of Damon's throat. Both of them groan and make choking noises as they tightly hold onto the other's throats.
Damon choked, "OK, I give. OK."
Anna releases him and he releases Anna. Damon coughs and rubs his neck. "Damn. You're strong for a little thing."
"I was wondering how long it would take you to find me." Anna places her bag on the ground and crosses her arms, looking at Damon.
"How long have you been here?"
"I arrived around half-past, oh wait... None of your business but I've been here long enough watching you screw up everything in your afterlife. Other than that, I came here for sentimental reasons... Why are you here?"
"You don't know? You don't know about the spell?"
"What spell? I know I didn't say much back then, but I heard everything but some things were kept from me. Katherine did love her secrets."
Damon moves closer to Anna, trying to intimidate her. "Never mind then but if you've been here the whole time, then why are we just crossing paths right now?"
Anna shrugs and walks around the alley, "I know how to keep a low profile."
"So did you turn a few dumbbells? Like Logan Fell?"
"Logan Fell? Please, he's an idiot. And last I heard, he's out of the States."
"Nope, he's dead. Little bastard shot me, some time ago."
"Aw! Not my problem."
"Mm-hmm. So got a hot date or are you just planning on nabbing the Gilbert family?"
"It's a date, he's cute, a party, right next to the old cemetery. And well I was here long enough to make friends. I also read an interesting journal from way back. Isn't that nice of them? It didn't make a lot of sense but hey whatever." Anna gets up and starts to walk away.
Damon scrunches up his face and sighs, "What if I told you a very interesting secret?"
Anna smiles and turns around, laughing at Damon, "Not interested but thanks." Anna leaves Damon in the alley, who punches the wall in frustration.
Mom had to leave because the Sheriff found one of my pranks, sorry Queenie.
"Hello Sheriff." Jenna greeted the Sheriff as the deputy walked out of the office. Jenna felt her bag swing with each step, remembering what she brought for the Sheriff, a small brown leather book.
"Ms. Sommers..." Sheriff Forbes got up to shake Jenna's hand.
"Jenna please."
"As long as you call me Liz." She insisted they take a seat as they, which Jenna nodded to.
"Deal. Now is this meeting about Mia or another situation?"
"Both. With Mia, per usual, there is no evidence and it's a She said, He said and people like proof but once again..." Liz raised her eyebrows in amusement.
"There is none."
"Precisely. Now the other situation…"
Jenna nodded slowly and pulled out the small book, "I have more information but can I ask for a favor? It's nothing big."
"Of course."
"Do you mind if I stay anonymous? If that's alright?"
Liz hesitated, "I don't know. The information you're given has been helpful and with your story it somewhat checks. And so far no one has asked who I've been getting the info from but I can try."
The red haired woman nodded as she understood some people do like answers but she'll take what she can get. "That's all I ask for. I just don't want to worry my kids, especially Mia. She's too smart and very close to figuring it all out but anyways..."
"Right. Um, some time ago you mentioned something about territories. Can you go more into detail?"
Jenna opens the book and slides it to the Sheriff that shows what she gathered about territories, "Well with vampires it's first come, first serve, type of deal. Meaning they were born and died or lived here for a lifetime as a vampire. Now if there are multiple who were born and died it will go to the first, so say one turned like 100 years ago but someone else turned 500 years ago, they have the claim."
"But how do we know or they know?"
"Humans don't have a claim…Well for explaining your house, yes it's in your family name and vampires can't get through without invitation but that's the work of magic…" Jenna caught the look the blonde woman is giving her, "That's a different conservation. Paperwork does work but its paper meaning can be destroyed. But with supernatural it depends... if the territory is unclaimed then nothing has changed it feels like walking into a new house that has just been built but if there's a house that's been around…find the paperwork, the right family, but if they died off that's a different story all tighter. Yes, the whole thing is a bit complicated. Claimed, it would feel like you're uninvited but still able to walk around. It's just uncomfortable for many occultists."
"Occults? What does that mean?"
"Occult means beyond the range of ordinary knowledge or experience; mysterious. It's just what we call some supernatural creatures, the ones we can't explain."
Jenna and Liz talk for two hours about territories and Jenna gave Liz the book to keep and read. After that Jenna grabbed Mia from Sheila after the meeting while saying goodbye to the Bennett family.
Pretty Girl came by and had a pleasant conversation with Mama Odie, then she and Java left, Java was waiting outside btw.
"Hi…"
"Hello. Do you mind if we speak outside?" Sheila pointed to the chairs on the porch.
"Your house, your rules."
"Thank you." They both sat on the chairs facing each other and Jeremy watched from a distance. "Now tell me what's so important in that tomb that needs witches to open it?"
"A long time ago I was here in Mystic Falls, I was with a few vamps, that was one, no one could say no too. Her name is Katherine, and she is a bit of a pain. Katherine couldn't help herself. She just had to toy around with both of the Salvatore brothers. And when she got caught, so did my mother. I watched Johnathan Gilbert take her away. My mother and adopted brother Harper…we all were both turned at the same time because of the accident we were in a long time ago. I don't remember much but I remember my mom doing everything she could to give me a somewhat life but then we met the most annoying woman ever but she and my mom had a lot of stuff in common and became BFFs. She took us everywhere and taught us control but turns out she didn't have it. But all I want is my mother and brother back and be a family with them. Introduce her to all my friends and teach her how wonderful the world has gotten. Even if there are some bad days. But I understand if you don't help, I don't want to hurt your family, especially Bonnie who has been a fantastic friend to me."
"Nice to know you are one of them. I'll help you get your family back."
"Them? Wait… Really? Thank you! Thank you so much!"
"Hey now don't thank me just yet we still got some to do."
"Of course! Anything!"
Anna and Sheila talked for a few more minutes about the details and whatnot but in the end Anna is happy and Jeremy was excited for her as well.
Judgy was sad for some reason when she called She-Wolf, I guess Mama Odie told her the truth.
Bonnie and Kol reached Sheila's house after their date.
"I had a lot of fun"
"Same here Little Witch…" They lean in for a kiss but someone cuts them off before they can do it.
"Ok you two not on my lawn!"
Bonnie jumps in Kol's arms, who's laughing in Bonnie's neck.
"Sorry Grams." Bonnie is bright red and hides her face in Kol's chest.
Kol waves cheekily at the older witch and a big grin. "Hello again Madame!"
"Young Man! Come here please." Sheila ordered. Kol and Bonnie look at one another, Bonnie's worried but Kol is calm. He kisses her forehead and moves away from the pretty witch to the older one, Sheila is smiling on the inside but her face shows nothing as the vampire gets closer, "I know you are far older than I but I am older in different ways." Kol nodded in agreement. "Now I have a request... Please take care of my family."
Kol was not expecting that but nodded slowly, "...Why do you trust me?"
"Spirits talk, Mr. Mikaelson and so does my family. Your family is on an entirely different level in the supernatural world but at least you have a code when it comes to witches."
"So, you've heard of me."
"I'm a Bennett, so naturally. Don't hurt my granddaughters."
Kol put a hand on his heart and gave the witch a bow. A sign of respect and courtesy as he understood what the woman truly wanted from him, "I wouldn't dream of it."
"Good. Now, mind giving me a hand in my kitchen?"
"Is that an invitation?"
"Yes. Please come in. Tea?"
"Thank you, my lady." Kol put Sheila's hand in the bend of his arm and walked into the house. Bonnie stands still at the invitation wondering what just happened.
Sheila laughed at Bonnie's face and called out to her, "Bonnie! Are you going to stand out there all day or are you joining us for some drinks?"
"Coming!" She ran in but landed in Kol's arms in front of the door.
"Little Witch, you shouldn't get lost in your thoughts in this weather. Come on now it's warmer inside…Or would you rather I warm you up?"
"Shut up!" Bonnie pushed past him to get inside but held out her hand which he took and they both were in the warm house hold.
Bonnie and Sheila sit at a table, conversing. Kol was reading the grimoire while listening to them talking about the tomb, the necklace and the hardest thing Sheila will ever tell Bonnie.
"Bonnie I have something to tell you…"
"What is it, Grams?"
"Sit. For a few months now I haven't been feeling well. And I'm dying."
"…what? Why, why are you telling me this now?!" Bonnie demanded in worry.
Sheila held Bonnie's hands who tightened hers as if to make sure her grams didn't leave this second.
"Because Baby, I didn't want you to find out another way, plus I know you. You would try everything to stop it. But listen I will always be by your side, helping you in mysterious ways and I have an early Christmas gift for you. You can open it whenever."
"Stop talking like you'll die tonight or something! Please!"
"Baby, I'm going to tell you a secret when I pass you'll get my gifts. My mojo. You'll be stronger. But don't blame anyone. I knew I wouldn't see Christmas with you this year."
"Grams…"
"You see that handsome man right there?" Sheila pointed to Kol, who's pretending he's not listening in. "And do you remember that gorgeous blonde with a spirit like no other or that intelligent, beautiful, young girl that has an aura of just goodness? They will help you in every way. Let them heal you. Be there for you. Grow with you. Because Baby you'll be one hell of a woman and I can see it now. Be strong. I know you'll get through it."
Bonnie chokes out a sob and hugs Sheila and cry's out, "I love you Grams."
"I love you too."
Before the party She-Wolf and Duke were talking about sports and partners at the Grill.
"Hey Playboy!" Sin jumps on Matt's back and he carries her to his car.
"Wow, I have more class than that, you know."
"Whatever. Anyways, how's practice been going?" Sin asked.
Matt sighs, "Like you don't know, but it's slow. Honestly I wish I could do something." Matt slowly drops Sin and gets his truck ready.
"Well that's why I'm here. How do you feel about lacrosse?" Sin smirked.
"Lacrosse? I mean I play for fun. Why?"
"Well I made a deal with Cold…" He doesn't believe her. "Ok! He owes me a favor but anyways! They need a few guys to volunteer for the Christmas game, it will help raise money for events that's not for the Founders and some of those players will be part of my show."
Matt raised an eyebrow knowing it's impossible to tell the girl no but he has to know. "…If I do this, how much am I going to hate it?"
Sin gives him a smirk and tells him everything as they go to the party.
Yours Truly didn't go to the party and decided to get mom and Soona to watch movies and play board games. Java and Pretty Girl stayed for one game before heading out.
"I win!" Mia glees out in excitement as they finish another game of Sorry!
"Not again…" Jeremy groans on Anna's shoulder.
"How does she win almost every time?" Alaric asked Jenna, who was laughing in her cup of soda, since Sin and Mia hid her stash of wine. Again…
"She's just good like that."
Anna got up and helped Jeremy off the floor. "Ok we're going to leave before Mia starts with the bets." They are playing in the living room sitting around the coffee table. The couples next to each other and Mia in front.
Mia gave Anna a look of mock shock and placed her hand on her heart and with a bit of an accent, "I would never!"
"Yeah right!"
"Ok, well we are going to get going. Do you guys need anything?" Jeremy asks as he puts on his jacket and helps Anna with hers.
"Nope we're good. Have fun at the party." Jenna waves at them from the kitchen to refill their cups and plates of desserts. Although Jenna sucks at cooking she can only bake, plus Sin's mom usually gives Jenna leftovers.
"…Mia?" Anna asked with a raised eyebrow.
Mia nodded and held out her phone and giggled, "Yep! Bye!" The teenagers left the building, now there are three.
"Do I want to know what that was about?" Alaric asked the girl who clicked a few things on her phone before putting it away.
Mia just gave him a secretive smile and said, "Not really."
"I can tell you're trouble but I won't have any proof. Will I?" Mia just giggles and writes in her book.
"Ok, I'm slightly scared." Alaric whispered to Jenna.
Jenna chuckles. "Ha-ha you should be but she's a good kid."
"I can see that. So when do I pick the movie?"
"A quarter to never."
"I see. Popcorn?"
"He's learning." Mia said.
"We might just keep him." Jenna laughs as Alaric makes his way to the kitchen with a grin on his face as he watches the mother and daughter clean up the game and get comfy on the couch. Alaric smiles softly and nods to himself, 'Yep. This is the life I always wanted. How did I get so lucky to meet them?' Alaric got the popcorn and sat next to Jenna who took the popcorn and placed it on her lap. Mia smiles and goes back to her book and phone. Mia texts Sin.
She-Wolf time to rock and roll.
Queenie later told me Duke has a somewhat girlfriend who I believe is Diva.
Sin and Matt made it to the party, Sin found where the drinks were and left Matt alone near the fire.
Caroline spotted him, walked up to him and asked, "So… Did Sin tell you?"
It took Matt a few seconds to realize she's asking about the game coming up in December and if he's playing for the lacrosse team. "You knew?"
Caroline scoffed and rolled her eyes in a joking matter, "Of course! I'm Caroline Forbes the Gossip Queen!"
"Ok! Ok! My mistake, Queenie." Matt laughed as he held his hands up in surrender.
"Shut up!" Caroline slapped his arm, they kept teasing one another and just hung out as friends.
"It's fun talking to you like this. It doesn't feel forced or anything just…"
"Like we're really good friends, I get the same feeling." They smiled and grabbed some drinks, "So how's the pen pal?"
Matt bumps her as he looks across the fire with a wistful smile as he thinks about the gorgeous blonde, "Ha-ha, it's amazing. Just talking or writing to someone who's not in the circle and she gives me her honest opinion and she doesn't judge. It's refreshing."
"What's her name?"
"Rebekah." Matt says her name like it's a blessing from above.
"Rebecca? That's pretty. Is she…?"
Matt nodded, "Yeah. More like a diamond in the rough but still beautiful in every way."
Peaches, Newbie and Stripper have been doing their own thing, I'm not really sure what it is…But I'm positive I can find it. Anyhow, according to She-Wolf, she found them at the party but they didn't stay long, something about wrong the time or whatever.
Elena and Damon arrive at the party in the woods and see over a dozen students drinking and chatting. "The Duke party. I forgot. I hope they stay clear of the church."
"Your hope, not mine."
Matt, Sin and Caroline saw them walk up to them.
"Elena, hey!" Caroline greeted the brunette and ignored the vampire, who's slightly offended and annoyed.
"What's up Lady?!" Sin laughed and was dragging Matt along, she took one look at Damon and said, "Creep." In a very monotone voice.
Damon smirked at the younger blonde, "I can tell that you want me."
"Yes, I want to leave." Sin is about to fight the dark haired vampire but the other two saw this and got Damon out of Sin's site.
"Elena! Oh my God, where have you been?" Caroline intertwines her arm with Matt's and Sin's. Elena acknowledges this action.
"Long story, no time to tell it." Damon cut off Elena from saying anything.
Caroline scoffed, "I wasn't talking to you."
"Sure you were." Damon smirked but it was wiped off.
Sin is getting vexed by the man and tells him off once more, "It's kinda sad watching you attempt to fit your entire vocabulary into a sentence."
"Ok! We haven't met. I'm Matt." Matt holds out his hand for Damon to shake while once again keeping Damon out of Sin's site but no such luck to the quarterback.
"Matt, there's a reason why you guys haven't met. It's going that way." Sin sassed while taking a sip out of her cup.
Damon is getting annoyed with Sin, grabs Elena's arms and starts dragging her away. Elena looks back at Matt, Sin and Caroline as she's being pushed along. "Ah, I'm sorry, guys."'
"Let me know if you need a hole 8 feet under!" Matt and Caroline watch them go as they laugh at Sin's joke.
"Ok, I got to go. I'll see you guys around." Sin hands Matt her cup and saunters away
"Bye Sin!"
Sin made her way to the tomb and saw Kol with a few shovels in hand.
"Ready?" he asked.
Sin nods and grabs one of the shovels with a sigh, "Let's get this over with. I want to see the fireworks."
"Fireworks?"
Sin and Kol climb up from the tomb with shovels in hand. "Cleared the debris away. Set the torches like you asked. We can get down now."
Sin places the shovel against a rock. Cans of gasoline lie nearby and Bonnie looks at them. "What is that?"
"It's everything Grams told me to bring to destroy them." Sin hands Sheila a flashlight.
"Are you sure that Elena and the Brothers won't come here?" Sheila asked.
"Yes, I'm positive. Plus Mia is helping out a little with her mischief."
"Oh dear. I feel for Jenna." Sheila strides past the girls and Kol with the grimoire, Bonnie trudging along behind her descends the stairs into the tomb.
Sin walks beside Bonnie nudging her arm. "Everything okay?"
"I just want to get this over with. Are we ready?"
"I guess so."
Duke has told me Puppy has been getting out of control and he doesn't want to deal with him anymore but…Who knows how that will turn out.
Back at the Duke party, Tyler and another guy are engaging in a beer chugging contest. Tyler wins and slams his cup down on the ground. "Done!"
Jeremy arrives at the party and Tyler spots him. "I'll be right back." He walks over to Jeremy. "Hey man, uh, you got any weed?"
"Wait, you're kidding me, right? You act like a total dick every time we cross paths, and - and now you want to party with me?"
"Lighten up, Gilbert. I'm just asking you a question."
"Look, I don't get you man."
"It's a party. You're a partier. There's no need to psychoanalyze it."
"I don't party anymore and even if I did, it wouldn't be with you."
Tyler starts to walk away. "No problem. Carry on just standing there. By yourself. All alone. The enemy of fun. Do you even have any friends?" Tyler turns around and walks off.
Jeremy turns around and Anna has suddenly appeared behind him. Jeremy is startled, but chuckles. "Thank God."
"Weird hello but, okay. What's the matter? I was only gone for two minutes."
"Uh, nothing. Nothing, just..." Anna crosses her arms over her chest and looks at Jeremy, unconvinced.
"It's- Fine. Tyler. I really can't stand him sometimes."
"Come on, let's walk."
Jeremy and Anna walk off with their arms around each other as they make their way to the tomb.
Matt is leaning against a tree with a beer in his hand, the one Sin gave him. Tyler sneaks up and swipes the beer out of his hand. "Swoop!" Tyler takes a drink.
"Hey!"
"Aah. Where's your date?"
"Not here yet."
"Aww, is the honeymoon over already?"
"Hasn't even started yet."
"What is she like, new, or something?"
"Definitely something." Matt is distracted by the two beautiful blondes walking towards them.
"Guys this is…Rebecca?" Caroline introduces the pretty new girl but messes up on pronouncing her name right.
"Rebekah. You were close." Rebekah giggled and looked at the boys, "Hi." Especially the handsome dirty blonde, who's giving her a soft but secretive smile.
"Hi." Tyler flirted but Rebekah just raised an eyebrow with an unimpressed expression on her face.
"Ok, um Matt a second please." Caroline asked.
"Um. Yeah."
Caroline and Matt walk a few feet away from Rebekah and Tyler. Caroline faced Matt with an embarrassed look and explained everything as fast as she could. "The arm thing, with Elena, it was lame. Well, I was lame. And, hey, your feelings for Elena aside, Damon was there, and he was always such a jerk to me. And I wanted to show off that I was with a good guy. So, anyway, I was lame. So, forgiven?"
"Yeah, of course. Yeah."
Caroline smiles, relieved. "Good, now go save your lady." She can see from where they are standing that Rebekah is uncomfortable around Tyler, who is still flirting with her while drunk.
"How did you…" Matt is a little put off by Caroline's statement and remember who else was with them, "Sin?"
"Sin. Bye!" Caroline skipped to where some of her friends were.
"Bye." Matt grabbed Tyler and pulled him away from the girls who looked like they were about to kill him.
I can't believe it! I didn't write this first! But Diva is here! I mean I saw we're getting new students but I didn't know it was Joker and Diva and they're twins! How cool is that?!
At the party in the woods, Caroline is talking with a group of friends. Matt looks over at her, who is leaning against his truck and Rebekah sees him, they smile at each other.
Rebekah walks over to him, "Please tell me you're real…"
"I'm real. The question is are you an angel?"
"No. I'm just me."
"Good. Thank you for being all cool and honest and open with my friends."
"Of course." Rebekah walks a step closer to Matt. "I want this to work. And I'm scared that you're gonna change your mind and you're not gonna want it. I don't want to mess it up."
"I don't want to mess it up either."
They place their foreheads together.
Now this is the hard part. During the night mom told me She-Wolf, Java, Pretty Girl, Judgy, Mama Odie, Joker and two new people came to our house… Mom helped Mama Odie and the others but I was asleep and Soona left some time ago and we may or may not have placed a few bets and he may or may not have lost…all of them.
Sheila walks unsteadily in the room. Bonnie and Jenna gently grab her arms to guide her.
"Hey, let me help you."
"Oh, I'm fine. You don't need to coddle me, baby."
"Sorry. But in this household, you have to be coddled. Here. Sit." Jenna said.
"Thank you."
"It was a big spell, Grams. I could tell it took a lot out of you." Bonnie whispers to her grams.
"I'll be fine."
"Grams…Please…"
"Baby, go and eat. I'll be right here."
Bonnie walks unsteadily towards the kitchen where Jenna is, she has a cup of water in hand. Bonnie looks on with worry.
"How are you?"
"Do you know?" Bonnie is asking if Jenna knows about the other side and Sheila's sickness.
"Yes."
"I don't want to lose her."
Jenna pulled Bonnie into a hug and softly said in her ear, "Bonnie I already call the hospital. They are on their way now. Take this and go sit with her and try not to worry too much, just be there. Ok?"
"Thank you."
"No problem." Jenna carries a glass of water and an Aspirin into her room and hands it to Anna, who gave it to the woman.
"How's your head?"
"Uh- it's alright. Thank you for everything. The bath, food, clothes… I don't know how to repay you." The woman said.
"How about this…Hi. I'm Jenna Sommers. It's very nice to meet you finally."
"Hello I'm Pearl. Thank you for taking care of my daughter."
"Well she's a sweet girl."
In Jeremy's room, Anna was able to sneak in and saw Jeremy give Harper some clothes once he was done with the bath.
"Hey."
"Hey, how's your mom?"
"Good. Jenna and she seem to be getting along. Does your aunt know what's going on?"
"Honestly… I have no idea. From what I was told Harper and your mom are new and were getting ready for some Founder stuff."
"Huh. Weird."
"Just a bit." They both chuckled at the craziness that had happened tonight.
"So where are you going to crash?"
"Probably with Mia and Sin, how about you?"
"Elena is at the Salvatore House so her room." Jeremy shrugged.
Anna gives him a surly look, "Can I join you?"
"Maybe."
"I'm going to be sick." Sin says by the doorway as she watches them lean in for a kiss.
"Shut up Sin!" Sin just laughs and finally walks away towards Mia's room.
"So…When are you going to tell me everything?" Jeremy asked.
"Tomorrow. I promise."
"Thank you." Anna leaves. Jeremy gets up from his bed and goes to his computer. He googles the word "Vampire." Harper looks around the room confused and in awe. He touches a Jack in the Box and it scares him. The toy laughs and jumps in the box. Harper moves away from the demon box, points at it and tells Jeremy…
"I don't like that thing."
Before I get to the hard part, Peaches and the brothers are trying to figure things out.
Elena is at Sheila's house, talking on the phone with Stefan, who is at the Salvatore house.
"I just got to Bonnie's."
"Everything alright?"
"I don't know. She's not here nor her grams. How's Damon? Is he gonna be okay?"
"I don't know either. After all, the tomb got torched and we still don't know who did it. Can I call you later?"
"Yeah, of course. I'm on my way back anyways."
Back at the Salvatore Boarding House, Stefan walks into the parlor. Damon is sitting down, staring blankly at the fire. Stefan sits down next to him. They sit together in silence.
'Now the hard part…'
The paramedics came and took the Bennetts to the hospital. Everyone else stayed at Gilbert's house holding on to hope that Sheila would be alright.
Bonnie is still sitting next to Sheila, holding a cup of tea for her nerves.
"Baby…I don't have much time left."
Bonnie moves closer to Sheila, begging her not to say things like that, "Please maybe, maybe I can do something! Anything!"
Sheila shakes her head, "No. Listen to me, everything will be ok. You'll be stronger than ever! I believe in you and I know you're going to be the best Bennett Witch ever, far more powerful than I! I love you Bonnie and I will always watch out for you. And don't be afraid of anything…Now it's time to say goodbye."
"Grams please…I need you." Tears are building in Bonnie's eyes as she tries to keep them away.
"Did you not hear a word I said? I'll be around but I have to have peace at some point and you will know when." Sheila said and pulled Bonnie into a hug. It's a little awkward but it feels like home.
"I love you grams."
"Love you too, Baby. Can you do me a favor?"
"Anything!"
"Sing for me."
Bonnie gave her a watery smile and asked the older woman, "…Any request?"
"I will always love you."
"By Whitney Houston. Beautiful singer by the way." Kol is with them, he wants to make sure Sheila is getting the best help and that Bonnie has support just in case.
~If I should stay
I would only be in your way
So I'll go, but I know
I'll think of you each step of the way
And I will always love you
I will always love you~
As Bonnie sings the song Kol comes by and holds Bonnie as she sobs out the song. Sheila smiles at them and closes her eyes. Once Bonnie stops singing the heart monitor goes off.
"Grams?" Bonnie sits down on the bed and starts to shake Sheila. "Grams! Grams, wake up! Grams! Grams!" Bonnie sobs as Kol pulls her away as the nurses and doctors do their work.
"Help! Wake up! She's not breathing! She's just not breathing! Please, wake up!"
Kol walks them back out the room and gently hugs Bonnie's shoulders. "Bonnie...Bonnie."
"Please wake up! Grams! Grams!"
"Bonnie! Bonnie! Bonnie. I got you. Ok. I got you." Kol continues to walk them out of the way. Bonnie sobs as Kol wraps his arms tightly around Bonnie, trying to comfort her.
Down in the tomb, the mysterious man appears again. This time his face shows annoyances as the burn marks. He tries to open the tomb which moves pretty smoothly but with a wave of his hand he can tell the spell is still in connection but stronger.
"Well Mystic Falls, you've intrigue me let's see what else you got hidden."
The man walks out and disappears in the shadows; only a white wolf has seen the man and runs off.
