A.N. Greetings readers, Blue Tagg here with the eighth chapter. Here the monks will meet up with some survivors. But they'll need to deal with a tail that's following them.

Please review and enjoy.

The group followed Michael and the kids across the town. He led them towards somewhere. But as they continued walking, Nick began to sniff. He then looked back to see no one, but he was still suspicious.

"Guys," Nick whispered. The group then looked at him. "I think we got a tail."

"Of course, we have tails. Well, you guys…" Omi tried to explain but was cut off by Raimondo putting his paw over Omi's mouth.

The group continued to face forward.

"Dennis Kipp!" Nick said while still facing forward. "Your scent still lingers in my brain."

Dennis Kipp came out of his hiding place and walked to the group, who turned around to see him.

"Nicholas Wilde. Long time, no see," Dennis said to him.

"Too long. Last I remembered, you kept bragging you'd be on top, and I'd be at the bottom," Nick reminded him.

"Yes, that's how it should be," Dennis said. He then turned to the monks. "I take it you four are the Xiaolin Monks. Wang's told us a lot about you four."

"I'm sure he did," Omi said.

"What did you do to my family?!" Judy demanded.

"Your family? Their working like the others," Dennis smugly explained. He then got out a golden Star. "But you'll soon find out."

"Star Hanabi!" Dennis commanded.

The star then began to shoot fireballs at the group. But Kimiko then began to do some summersaults.

"Judolette Flip, Fire!" Kimiko commanded. The fireballs then began to come towards her, and she then began to absorb then around her paws and shot them towards Dennis, which caused him to drop the star.

Kimiko walked over and picked it up.

Seeing that he's been defeated, he began to run away. He continued to run, until he stopped when he saw a rake on the ground.

"Seriously, rake on the ground? Like I'm dumb enough to fall for that gag," Dennis said as he stepped over the rake. He then continued to run, only to step on a second rake on the ground and get hit in the face.

The group approached him as Dennis got woozy by that hit in the head. The group then approached him.

"What is it with mammals leaving rakes everywhere?" Michael asked.

"Is he…?" Clay asked, but Dennis spoke.

"No more crickets for me ma, I'm full," Dennis woozily said, which he then fell to the ground unconscious.

"Can't believe he fell for that gag," Nick said as he grabbed a pair of handcuffs and cuffed him to a drain pipe on the wall. "Now that felt really satisfying."

"So, what do we do with him?" Raimondo asked.

"Well, we don't have any ZPD Jurisdiction here in Bunnyburrow," Bogo pointed out. "But once we take down Bure and his subordinates, they'll be handed to the Sheriff's department, who'll hand them towards higher authority."

''But for now, I say we just leave him here," Judy suggested, the group agreed.

The group then continued to follow Michael and the kids.

They continued to follow Michael, until he reached an abandoned building. They went inside and Michael walked over to one of the closets and opened it, then opened the back, which revealed a hidden staircase.

"Didn't know this place had a hidden staircase," Judy said in surprise.

"The owner was a bit of an apocalypse nutcase," Michael said, which made Judy realise.

"Jerry Hogard?" Judy asked.

"Yep, he had this for the apocalypse, but this situation is a close second," Michael said.

The group then went through the closet, with Bogo, Raimondo, Ryder and Clay squeezing through due to their size.

They went down the stairs, until they reached a bunker that had a few bunnies and other mammals.

The mammals then noticed Michael was back with the kids, along with a few others. They walked up to him and started asking questions.

"What happened out there?"

"Did you see anyone?"

"Who're these guys?"

The questions kept pouring in. Until, Clay did a whistle to silence everyone.

"If ya'll don't mind, stop crowding him and let him speak!" Clay told the mammals.

"Thank you, Clay," Michael thanked him. He then turned to the others. "I was surrounded by Sheriff Billon and his men, but these mammals came to my rescue."

The mammals turned to the group, when they noticed Judy. They were overjoyed to see Bunnyburrow's pride and joy has returned.

"Yes, I'm here to help, but I didn't come alone," Judy explained. "I'm sure some of you remember my partner Nick Wilde. Over there are Chief Bogo and Officer Pedrosa. And these guys are Omi, Kimiko Raimondo and Clay." Dojo appeared again with a raised eyebrow. "And Dojo."

"Well, we're glad that help has come," an elderly female bunny said. Judy recognised her.

"Auntie Jasmine," Judy said as she hugged her.

"So good to see you," Jasmine said as they continued to hug.

"Same here," a male puma said, who Judy also recognised.

"Bobby," Judy said as she hugged her childhood friend.

"Great to see you again," Bobby said as they hugged.

"It must have been a rough three days," Nick pointed out.

"You don't know the half of it," Jasmine said. "One moment, things are normal, and the next. Jamie Burr returns and begins to turn our family and friends into zombies."

"With that object he's using," one teenage pig pointed out.

"The Zing Zom Bone," Omi said to them.

"You know what it is?" one bunny asked.

"Yes, the Zing Zom Bone is a Shen Gong Wu that can turn mammals into zombies," Dojo explained to them.

"Well, whatever it is, it's costing us our freedom," another bunny said.

"We gotta get out there and fight!" another bunny said.

"Are you crazy? There's got to be over a billion of them and less than 100 of us," a deer replied.

"How come you not tried leaving?" Bogo asked.

"We tried. Burr's got zombies at every entrance and exit. Mammals can come in, but no one gets out," Michael explained.

"And no communications. We were lucky to send Sheriff Billions audio recorder to Zootopia before connections where cut off," Bobby explained.

"So, we're all trapped here," Jasmine said with dismay.

The group looked to see the refuges down.

"Don't worry, we will get everything back to normal," Raimondo told them, which got their attention.

"If we can just get a hold onto the Zing Zom Bone, we can reverse everything," Kimiko told them.

"But first, we need to find this Wu, and to do that, we need to find Burr," Clay explained.

"He usually hangs out at his old home," one yak said.

"Then that's where we need to be," Omi said to them.

"Are you sure it's a good idea to go out there?" Michael said.

"The zombies are limited by what their master commands, which gives us an advantage," Omi said.

"We'll need to be stealthy," Raimondo told them. "Remember, Burr is our priority."

"So, let's get out there and show that dirty bunny who's boss," Clay suggested.

"In the meantime, I suggest you all stay here and be safe," Judy told the survivors in the bunker.

"We will," Jasmine said as she and Bobby gave her one last hug, as did everyone else.

The monks and officers exited the bunker and began to walk down the street.

"So, we just sneak into the burrow and hit Burr with a surprise attack," Raimondo suggested.

"Piece of Pie," Omi said.

"Cake," Clay corrected him.

"Piece of cake," Omi said.

They continued walking. But once they turned a corner, they found themselves surrounded by zombie bunnies.

"That's a lot of bunnies," Raimondo said in awe.

A.N. And that's the eighth chapter. So, the group have met up with survivors, but now they're surrounded.

Also, the whole rake scenario, I just wanted to use that old gag for a while, lol.

Anyway, how will the group get out if this mess, find out next time.
