Hey everyone! Normally, I wouldn't make such a small update that has little to do with story, but there were a lot of things I wanted to say in the last chapter that I forgot to say as I rushed to upload the last chapter.
First off, I want to know if anyone knows of any good Naruto artists I could contact? I had one artist draw a couple of things for this story that I posted on deviantart. However, I've had trouble contacting him ever since. So, I would like to know any options out there. Though I love to draw myself, I don't feel I can do Naruto characters justice, so if you all know of anyone and where they are (online), please let me know.
Second, you think I should make a fanon wiki of this story? I want this to be accessible, but I know many fans can be a bit pissy about certain content.
Finally, I noticed some channels on youtube are actually reading fanfiction. It's a pretty small thing right now, but does anyone have an opinion on who would be best? Just trying to get this fic as much attention as possible. Please PM me if you have any ideas on how to approach these. Thank you for reading, and thanks for any help in advance.
And now, I am going to make entries on the World of Naruto…or rather, my world of Naruto.
Fire Country:
The Southernmost country of the Middle Continent, Fire Country is one the richest territories of the major Shinobi Nations. While it has fairly cold winters that result in snow, its summers are warm. The geography is mostly grassland, scattered with cedar forests. During times of extreme heat and drought, the land is vulnerable to forest fires. Game is plentiful, with wild boar, dragon deer and moa. It also has many dangerous predators, such as Honshu Tigers, Saber-toothed Lions and Painted Wolves.
Farming and agriculture are considered top of the line on the continent, with plenty of crops and livestock to feed its people and export to its neighbors. The only disadvantage the nation has economically is lack of precious minerals.
Like all the shinobi nations, it is ruled by a Daimyo and his court. The nation is known for its many buddhist architecture and temples, hosting festivals at various times of the year. It is also considered one of the more liberal and open of nations, promoting free trade and negotiations with foreigners.
While the shinobi of this nation still practice the old ways of stealth, the ninja of Fire Country are considered the most combat-oriented of their kind. Fire Country once hosted two major ninja clans: The Uzumaki, and the Uchiha. The Uzumaki were said to be wild and hard to control, and possessed incredible life-force that was said to make them immortal. It was even said they were responsible for the creation of the forests. The Uchiha, on the other hand, were considered more calm and collected, but were utterly ruthless to their enemies and could raze entire lands, credited for the mastery of the Katon Style Ninjutsu. The two clans had both a symbiotic and antagonistic relationship, working together for the greater good but ultimately betray one another over the generations.
For a time, there was peace, when the patriarchs of the two clans at the time, Uzumaki Harashima and Uchiha Madara, formed the village of Konoha and thus the modern shinobi system which other countries readily adopted. However, it was not meant to last: A great and terrible rift formed between the two, and their battle shook the lands, creating a new canyon and lake. Ultimately, Harashima triumphed, Madara's fate unknown but presumed dead. Harashima resumed his role of the First Hokage, but another storm was threatening to brew between the two clans…
Fan Casting for Naruto Uzumaki:
Naruto-Will Friedle
-Will Friedle is a beloved voice actor known for the range of characters he plays. His most famous role is probably Ron Stoppable, who was one of many comedic relief characters on Kim Possible. However, he has also played many badass characters, such as Batman Beyond and Lion-O from the 2011 reboot. I think a balance between goofy and cool will suit Naruto well.
Sakura Haruno-Janet Varney
-Janet Varney is a comedian who had a prominent role in animation as the next avatar, Korra. She can definitely play a tough girl with flaws. Sakura may not be there as of yet, but when she is, I think JV will be perfect for her.
Sasuke Uchiha-Johnny Young Bosch
-JYB has had a long career in many properties. He's been a power ranger, and that led him to voice acting several iconic anime characters, his top 3 being Vash the Stampede, Lelouch Vi Britannia, and Ichigo Kurosaki. He also plays the video game character Nero from Devil May Cry. I guess a voice acting veteran such as him would be a fine fit for Sasuke, and I think he can add some humanity the original character seemed to lose as time went on.
Kakashi Hatake-Corey Marshall
-Corey Marshall is most famous for his role as Ryo Hazuki from Shenmue. I just find it interesting to have him play a character whose essentially a master after playing a character who is still learning. I guess you could imagine this Kakashi as Ryo if he was a hardened vet
Hiruzen Sarutobi-Richard Epcar
Epcar, like JYB, is a veteran in voice acting. He is most famous for voicing Raiden in Mortal Kombat 11. I figured if we're going to do an old man, let's make him a bad ass
Iruka-Chris Cox
Gato-Chuck Huber
Zabuza Momochi-Kevin Michael Richardson
-KMR has a lot of roles, and he can be quite intimidating
Haku-Olivia Hack
-Voice of Ty Lee. Let's really mess with Naruto by making Haku sound even cuter, right?
Tenchui-Dee Bradley Baker
Mizuki-Kirby Morrow
