A huge calming swallow was taken by the woman currently entering the helm of the overly busy Hellicarrier. The tension, now high with the pressure of everyone's ego being easily sensed, provoked a crinkle in Liara's nose. She raised her lip at the strong mingling smells while quietly encountering her deemed work station. Far in the back corner, away from the steady hustle of the inhabitants. Eyes rolled as a body closed in on hers. Blocking her path from the overly inviting plush rolling chair which continued screaming her name.

Since her entry into this cavity of the ship, she refused lifting her head from the flooring. The less eye contact, fewer the chance of anyone trying to make conversation. She only saw his tight blue jeans and heavily scuffed dark brown boots before the smirk creeped to her lips. "Bout time you brought me my toy."

"I need to go over the best possible entry without casualty." His body was pushed aside by the thick woman with her left forearm, as she passed him to slump herself in the swivel chair.

Yellow eyes now began drinking in the barely shoulder length brown hair sitting across from her. A slow wet of the lips. "I bet you do. How unbelievably easy that one is, I ain't going to even touch it. But know what, you'd be better off asking Alana that one. Anyhow, I think that you and I both know the same entrances. All of which are going to be surrounded by traps, cause these dumbasses around here, fail at anything remotely entertaining as our friends at our previous employer."

"These traps kill people, I hardly see how this is anything to be remotely laughing at." The furrow on his light brow, only hardened.

"We used to kill people. I found god while you continue to… yeah, you know, just kill people. Ughh, okay . I of course being the almighty awesome awe inspiring person that I am. So smart and all that good shit, can dismantle everything. But I'm going to need to know that your old ass is going to completely remember everything that was there and exactly where. I mean, I know that it can be very hard, given your age and your mind not being exactly what it used to be." A roll of her eyes, when her desired reaction was not received. Something was going on behind his sea blue eyes, which Liara could read like a book, giving her more reason to provoke Barnes.

His slow words, seemed to be somehow holding back his inner rage. "Look. Guerra, Liara, Oscuridad. Whatever damn alias you are using at the moment. I just want to be sure no harm comes to anyone. Especially…"

"Alana. I know right, aww." Liara dragged her tongue across her top lip.

Barnes tried his hand at correcting the woman across the desk from him. "Steve."

"Uh huh. Okay, tell that lie all you want. But hey, hey speaking of which, does he know the awful foul language you use? Wow. Not the best friend, shock. Guess you hold those words in just for me. I feel so fucking honored. But back to the real reason you are all over here, I know you're pushing all up on her. It's all over your face, not to mention the fact that your heart skipped a whole bunch of beats. Plus you're all clammy. It's sooo cute. The hired hitman has a crush. Daww. Just keep in mind, I still have to settle a little score with your sorry ass over what you fucking did to Nicholas. I ain't forgot." The left brow paired with the snarl the woman sported, gave proof enough she was not in the mood for games. "Which reminds me, I hate you. So best be mindful how you are with Alana. Cause believe you me, I have absolutely no problems with taking your ass out boo boo."

"Your man?" A court chuckle.

A coy laugh, followed by a moanfully loud agreement. "One of the many. It's so damn hard being me. A bitch can't keep them off."

"Because a bitch is in heat or something of that nature I take it." His voice was low, however there was menace behind every word.

"Oh my god yes! Better watch out before you find yourself under me as well baby. Pathetic insults and so called threats don't have your obviously desired effects on me. Quite the opposite in fact, especially from someone as weak as you." The She Wolf took joy in this man's quick angering attitude.

A cleansing breath was heavily released after her response.

Yellow eyes rolled, knowing the little spat was over as soon as it began. "Look. Do you or don't you remember the base, it's a simple ass question."

A slow forced nod in response, trying his best to control his temper. Seeing as how the woman across from him, seemed not bothered in the least by their exchange.

Liara slid her fingers lightly on the flat metal surface upward until her entire right hand was extended. In her actions, a hologram extended the entirety of the desk. The imagery provoked the angered male to lift from his seat, and take to her side. He leaned down to study the colored moving pictures as Liara pulled blue hair into a high messy bun.

Bucky noticed the slight flinch from the woman at his side. He gathered from the reaction, he had gotten too close to her person. However found it odd, she had not mentioned a word of it. Only shivered while placing a thick tress behind her left ear. As he quickly inched sideways, yellow eyes looked up to him.

Liara stared at Barnes' jaw as she spoke. "So, from my constant updated surveillance…"

"You mean your spying." As soon as she began, James heard the slight anger in her voice. It was heavily masked, yet clearly it was there, he needn't move his eyes from the running scenes to notice.

A smile accompanied by an agreeing moan, "nothing has really changed since I was there over twenty years ago. New men, same outdated traps. Even though I haven't had adequate time to thoroughly investigate any footage, you and your boyfriend, Independence Day should have not one problem with getting in. And if all else fails, you know like your memory, you have the not so scary brawn side to the little nerd over there, to kill everyone and get you in with one smash."

A shake of neat brown locks. "I really feel we won't have the need for his…"

"Expertise." A chipper voice cut the Winter Soldier off.

"Exper…tise." With his repeated word, a smirk came to the woman seated at his side. "Steve, Sam and I should be more than capable of getting the job done. Silently. Besides, from what I can see here, you are right. Nothing has changed in the least."

"Bucky?" With the man's approach, Barnes lifted his head.

His right hand now grasped the edge of the workstation as he propped himself. "Looking at the footage Liara was able to tap into, everything seems more than the same as it was before."

The tall, muscular, fair skinned man crossed his arms before his torso. Finally reaching the opposite side of the desk. "I need for you to be completely sure Bucky."

"Yes, Steve. I understand, it has been longer than quite a while. However, from the bits and pieces of Hydra memory I am able to be helped in recalling… See, everything here is ringing a bell. More than slightly foggy memories at best…" A left metallic pointer was raised to his temple, as an unsure grimace covered his lips. "But it's in here none the less."

As the man at her side lifted his prosthetic, Liara followed its movements. "The way you watch it, is highly uncalled for."

Yellow eyes blinked, as they reopened, the owner of the voice was taken in. There she sat, next to her older twin soul, as a conversation was being conducted by Vision at the meeting table just further beyond the right of Barnes. A quick slight tilt of her head, as a cocky brow was raised in response to the woman's clear jealousy.

"Miss Liara, and how do you feel about this?" Pulled back into the conversation in front of her, the woman replied.

A clear of the throat, "he's right, boo. The best way to go about this is with the knowledge your boy right here possesses. Paired with the shear covertness of y'all and your other friend. I can, as always, patch into whatever is needed to keep all you safe at any given moment. It's really not so hard. It's just the advanced traps that are of course, to be worried about. I have a feeling, once confronted with each one directly, this guy's instinct will return in full fashion."

There was a tense furrow of Barnes' brow after he lowered his head. A heavy question lingered within himself. If he could remember these bits and pieces, what else would his mind allow in with the codes.

"So what's our verdict?" Into the small group huddled at a desk, walked the Director.

Liara lifted her head and smirked, taking in her longtime friend in his entirety. "James here, recalls everything, much as I do, weird right? Anyhow, he's been staring at the images as I did the first time I saw them. Remembering each, and every set of codes needed to keep each mechanical trap in stasis. Don't look at me like that, unless you trying to show me some new hand to hand techniques while everyone is gone. Besides, all the numbers have been ingrained into our minds. Y'all acting as if this is some sort of big deal. Regardless, I put him through pain, just because I can of course. Anyhow needless to say, your girl right here will kill everything as soon as you get in like what, a mile radius. I mean I could do better, but where'd the fun in that be. You have to get some sort of action, or this mission will be a bust. Then guess what, after I do my thang, yay, you guys get to play sneaky assassin stuffs. While I get another cup of coffee. Nicholas, you gone want some boo?"

"Then just why don't I remember any of these traps nor codes?" Alana, sitting at the huge round table near the group of four commented mentally.

Phoenix rolled her eyes while giving her retort in like. "Cause your dumb ass wasn't stationed there, duh."

"You were a part of me, so you're guilty by association." A sigh.

"Nope, try again, young one. I was trapped in your mind. Which means held against my will…" The words being exchanged to the woman by her side were slowly spoken as for her to take time in thinking on their meaning.

"Which you are trying to do to Steve, but ain't no one complaining about that now are they?" Emerald green eyes now found hers, unaware the private conversation was overheard, much less a mental one.

The furrow on her brow became intense as she delivered each word into the intruder's mind. "Shut the hell up you filthy animal."

"I ain't said shit yet. But if you want me to, I got you." A deep dimple with the smirk gracing her round face.

"If you do, I swear I'll let everyone know you and big green are a thing." The cocky unimpressed look on the yellow eyed woman across the room, only made Phe more furious.

A left brow once again rested high on her round plump face, "were. But go right ahead and do whatever makes you happy. Everyone would just love to know how you were rubbing all up on the man of your pathetic little dreams. Early, and I mean early this morning. Phasing him to an upper level, just to watch the sun rise together, daww. Isn't that about the most romantic thing ever. Fucking spare me. But since y'all a couple, that is big news. Taking all the attention away from Juicy Jan next to you."

"We were, wait. I so hate your guts." A cross of the arms as she remembered the tender moment. "I'd rather not."

Liara shrugged as she returned her attention to the men in front of her. "So we have come to the best possible decision of getting into the compound."

There was a nod from the men agreeing to Fury's comment.

A rub of his freshly shaven chin, Rogers began. "Yes, going straight in seems the best way. I hate being seen, but if this is what is needed. So be it."

A disgruntled moan by the seated woman, lead to Barnes speaking up. "Steve, you don't completely get it. With Liara giving us much needed cover by way of cycling the recordings, and Wanda being able to manipulate the minds of the surrounding men. They will be practically blind, in every sense of the word."

"When you're right, you're right." Nick placed a hand on Barnes shoulder, much to Liara's dismay.

Captain America nodded as he now took into consideration what his best friend stated.

Nick Fury took to the round table, as most of the team were already sitting, patiently waiting for their instructions. A clear of his throat, provoked everyone to giving him their attention completely. "The most effective way into the Hydra Compound to retrieve the intel which was stolen from us, is well, through the front door."

"Wait, hold on. You want us to what now?" Stark now entering the room, quickly made his presence known.

Rogers joined the Director, while taking his seat. "Fury is right. We have two on our team, more than capable of getting us to the doors unseen. One from the field, Wanda. Liara who is more than capable to disable everything, keeping us safe while inside. Then Bucky will lead, giving us sufficient clearing for the rest of the team to group with the fewest casualties. Getting the machinery, I am pretty sure you Nat are going to have to patch into some things, making sure they haven't used anything as thus far."

"Ah, yes, this seems very astute. What are we retrieving exactly again?" Vision asked, entirely enthralled with the conversation.

Liara swiped a finger across her metal desk, which sent the colored holographic video recordings to play vertically over the middle of the table to her right. The images replayed for all to see, from either side of the table. As the She Wolf took to Fury's side, she began. "As each of you see, there has been multiple items stolen from y'all. All are very delicate and hold overly influential info in your safety and individual invisibility. And before you begin with the whole 'everyone already knows who we are'. I ain't talking your Government names. I'm talking hidden families, homes, bases, any and all the other fun stuff you ain't want anyone in the know about. Something that, of course, they would never hesitate in using to get you to do any of their bidding."

"When you say everything and everyone?" The voice came shyly from the corner of the room.

Yellow eyes nodded in response to her. The owner was sitting beside her old flame. In the farthest seats from the others as possible. "Yes, everyone in this room. from the simple S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to the whereabouts your boo goes to when he's all Hyded out. These are all things, Nicholas here has made sure to keep under safe wrap, I mean so to speak. Well until someone on this side chose to take whatever Hydra was offering in exchange for such a handsome reward."

"Wait, does that mean this goes for you too? You know, when you go and leave every other night for what? A few days at a time?" Light emerald green eyes delivered an innocent face with her loaded question.

The slick smirk on the She Wolf's face gave every indication she was nothing short of going to answer Phe's question, before she was cut to the punch.

"Nothing concerning Liara was ever on file. For some reason, any and everything on her entire existence was wiped clean." With his stern delivery, the woman by Fury's side only poked her bottom lip out as she shrugged her shoulders as if this was new and shocking information.

A narrow of the eyes by the question asker as she gave her next sentence for a sole person to hear, "I bet that wasn't the only thing wiped clean."

"I don't know, but I'd sure love to wipe your ass clean right fucking now. Besides you gone be on a whole lot of shit after I wipe your boy clean. Got to break him in right after all, and show him what a real woman can do for him. He already has this need to challenge me. Can you imagine? Him showing me juuust how much more dominate he is than me. I mean we both know he ain't, but him trying to do his best would be great. Think about it. All those years of pinned up frustrations taken out on my poor defenseless body. Yeah, I'd wipe him clean alright. " The high cocky left brow only infuriated Phoenix more than the words uttered.

"You stupid ass whore of a bitch, I will slice your fucking ass in half if you even dare touch him, better yet, let's see what your boyfriend Brucey says." White hair was flung over a shoulder with force.

A look was given to the woman who continued to force this conversation into her mind. "Umm, word to the wise, he has this whole ass woman on his arm."

"She's irrelevant." A cross of her arms.

A purse of heart shaped lips to the right. "I can't tell."

A roll of green eyes. "You never can."

"I can tell that your boy National Flag Day gone be moaning my name." A self-assured look was given in response.

A smile crept to the Celestial's face before she asked her question aloud. "Nick, just why is it again that Banner is going with us? We all know he'll just stay his miserable scared self in the Quinjet. Freaking out over his own shadow. Not a whole lot of help if you ask me. Here's a better idea. Why doesn't he just stay here and dog sit Liara? Cause we all know she is stronger than anyone else here besides him. He could I don't know, pet her. Rub her belly the way I know, you know just how she likes. He could throw her a bone. Oh and he can lock her mange, rabies ridden ass in a cage after she tries to bite the hand that feeds her. Then he could watch out for everyone else after, I mean you never know, they could be listening in right now, and prepping for a counter attack. Hell for all we know, the mutt is the traitor. Remember the passcode? How about the days she's missing from here? I vote we keep all bases covered. And by that, I mean keeping big green on your ass at all times. Hell you might even like that now don't you huh bitch."

A right cheek went taunt with a heavy smirk as Guerra answered the question put on the table. "And my wise friend, if that were the case, your stupid ass just gave away any possible way of him silently staying here. Always got to be with the dumbass comments, I swear. You really forget that everyone here is so far behind me with anything that is a piece of tech. Even your fling Salmon Can over there, comes in a far second. He can stay, I could care less. I bet I would be the only one happy with him being around. Everyone of you assholes are beyond scared of him, like he's going to lose his damn mind and kill everyone."

"It could happen." Phe answered. Upset her hints did not seem to bother the She Wolf.

"It already has." With his whispered words, yellow eyes led her face to his seat.

Fury interrupted the women and their babble. "Dr. Banner, did you say something?"

Bruce jumped from his seat, ripping his hand away from Betty's. One she had placed on his, the moment the argument over him began. He raised a right hand and scratched at his curly locks. Too nervous to stand still, knowing everyone was now staring at him. Banner cleared his throat, "I… I think. I think Phoenix is right. I should stay here. You are here Betty."

Liara felt ill over the way she was arguing over Bruce, however the moment he answered Nick, the feeling was completely gone. "Good. Then you can go and have a playdate with the fair Dr. Ross. While the big kids play with the bad guys. It's a win win."

"It sounds like a plan to me. Rogers?" Fury placed a hand on Liara's back.

The Avengers leader lifted his clasped hands to his chin. Thinking heavily over the fact the Hulk would not be with them if there were a mishap and they needed a more heavy hand. He could admit within her antics, and rude comments, Phe might have a point. There could all too easy be an insider still here in the Hellicarrier, feeding information to their cohorts in Hydra. Liara would need help in taking someone down if there happened to be a counter strike while the rest of the team were away. He meticulously picked out every scenario. Finally coming to his conclusion. "Miss Phoenix. I really do think you are right. There all too easily could be someone here still hiding within our ranks. It has happened once before. We all know it. Lived through the outcome. Doctor Banner, the fact you request staying here, led me to heavily pondering over all the possible outcomes with the lack of The Hulk not coming along with the team. Which made me remember, Liara and Fury are as well part of the team. And if there could be the chance of any counterstrike, Miss Guerra would need for you to help her hold off the enemy. So with all this information, I can only accept your request Mr. Banner and the rest of the team will get ready for the mission. We leave at o-nine-hundred hours."

With Rogers final mention of her name in the same sentence as his, Banner's eyes met Liara's. She only held his gaze for a moment, but it was long enough to inform him, she was upset. Nick cleared his throat as he leaned down to whisper something into Liara's ear. There was a smirk on her part followed by a chuckle. She sucked air through her teeth as raised brows and a shrug followed. What was this exchange about exactly? As the woman turned to leave the area, there was a hand placed on his shoulder.

With her touch, she knew she had startled him. "I'm sorry Bruce. Can I have a word please?"

"Yes. Of course Alana." The shy scientist ushered the petite woman away from everyone else. "Is there something troubling you?"

A shake of the head as she giggled once. "I just want to apologize. See, they meant no harm, but you don't know. There was a whole argument going on before Phe put you on the spot as she did."

"I see. She and..." Bruce stopped short, as Betty came to the area they were in.

"I just wanted you to know Bruce, I'll wait on you in your room. Or is the lab where you are going to be while you stay here?" Blue eyes carefully inspected his.

Alana pursed her lips and raised her brows to the back of the woman whom stood the same height as she.

"Yes. This is fine Betty. I will find you when everything is entirely in order here." The smile he gave seemed genuine enough to send the woman on her way.

As soon as the black headed woman left their area, Liara walked up to the duo. "So, I really think you should meet up with her in your room. That is a much better place than your stinky ass lab. Show her a good time. Give her things you wish you could've over all these years. Y'all deserve to be happy. God knows this psychopath could never do it for you. Oh, and before you go to see her. Don't worry, I already know who the snitch is. But of course you ain't gone see it cause you already told me I was delusional. And you Alana, stop apologizing to him for me. I meant everything I said. Hell I'll even tell him the shit I said. Oh and now since you two got all awkward silence the moment she walked up, she thinks y'all an item. Wait till I tell Bucky he got some competition. Awww, even though Bruce is with the rude Betty, you are still prettier than her. And younger, well younger looking, at least. Hey Jekyll, men your age love younger women right? Wanting to be sugar daddies and the whole nine. Here's your chance. God I kill me. I'll be over here, listening to everyone's conversations if you wanted to thrust your opinions on me. Just like Liara, being a good person minding her business and all that. I'm so above all of you. Some more than others."

"Liara you are so disgusting." The groan in her voice, giving every indication her revolted state.

As she walked away, her parting words were given. "Just ask the guy who's initials are B.B. He'll vouch."

Banner watched as the Wolf blood infused woman was met once again by the Director. He handed her a tablet and led her to Stark. The three began to become heavy in conversation which had Liara overly animated, with the two men only grasping at their chins while carefully soaking in her words.

"So by the way you can't take your eyes off her, she's the actual reason you want to stay here and not your ex. I might not be the one for human emotions or feelings, but from the outside looking in, it seems you are in trouble." Deltora had been eyeing the timid scientist ever since her friend had come up to rattle him. Her mental words delivered to him, only provoked a furrow from the aged man.

"There is something highly off with her lately Alana, and I really cannot place a finger on it." His brown eyes now exchanged his glace to the woman directly to his side.

A tender smile creeped on her face. "And I thought I didn't have a grasp of the human feelings. Bruce, even I can see that Liara is jealous of the fact you are more around Betty."

"No. It is not that. Not at all. She has never been the jealous type. In anything. She has not one jealous bone in her body. She is so sure in what and who she is, and what she has to offer, there is no need for Liara to even remotely have this feeling. However, speaking of Betty. Liara hates the fact I am around Betty, for claims of her digging for information for General Ross." The manner in which he spoke was apparent to his company, Bruce was as well worried over the subject.

The rise of her brow was unexpected, just as the gentle man's words. "Wait, you think there is someway Liara is right in her accusations?"

"No, I just need for her to see that Betty is no danger to her in the least." Banner crossed his arms.

Deltora wet her lips, "but can you be sure? I've known Liara a lot longer than any of you. She never places blame where it doesn't belong Bruce. You should take heed to her words, even if your heart and mind tell you otherwise."

Before another word could be returned between the two, another body closed in on them. "Alana, it is almost time to go. Bruce. You wouldn't mind if I take her off your hands would you?"

The grimace was taken as a smile for the most part, this was all he could muster. Given the fact his mind was busy thinking in the She Wolf and her problems which were his as well. Also the fact there was yet another factor, one waiting on him to come back to her. He nodded and took one last glance to everyone else in the carrier, as they were in the middle of their last touches of preparation. "By all means, Bucky. I need to get on something as well."

Bruce made his way through everyone as quick as he could, feeling the anxiety beginning to take hold of him. He made his way for the stairwell, needing to get away from the atmosphere. His pace quicken, down two flights he jumped. He was about to glide past another set when a scent hit him. He peeked over the railing, and there she sat. Alone. Her head between her knees as her arms were crossed above it. She seemed to be trying her best to recoil from the noise and smells.

Liara sensed him well before he exited the bridge of the Hellicarrier. His was a more than welcome aroma from her misery with every step he took. When he was finally close enough to hear, without the need of her shouting, she began. "Either you are going to stop or you're not. Right about now, you should continue on your journey. I have work to do, while you have work to put in."

"Lift your head and tell me this face to face." His voice, barely a whisper as he knew she was hurting.

The strain thrust upon Liara was written entirely over her face. Her eyes were bloodshot, her hands were clammy as Banner pulled them from above her head. Her brow was covered in sweat. As defeated yellow eyes took him in, she began. "Jekyll, I'm in no mood for games nor lies. I need to be left alone to at least find myself in the mist of all this. All of you stink and are loud as fuck. I can even hear the damn crickets in the hanger that won't shut the fuck up."

"Good, come on. You can work from your room until you recoup. I will inform Fury, while you regain your strength. After this mission, Tony and I will manufacture you new earpieces." Banner tried his best to lift the reluctant woman.

A deep breath as Liara shook her head. "No. After everyone leaves, I'll be good. Now the faster you get the hell to where you were going, the quicker I can get prepared to play my part."

Bruce took a seat next to Liara "Ironic, with you being part of this team, recovering you seems forever an ordeal. Apparently, you need a keeper."

"Hmm, is that why you elected to stay behind? Or is it that you wanted to make sure Nicholas wasn't the one to be all up under me like you are right now? Wanting to console me and all that good stuff. Oh my god Jekyll, go to your woman. A good woman. One that clearly carries feelings for you. Holding your hand when I was talking shit about you." The She Wolf, laid her cheek on her knee, facing the opposite direction.

The man taking in the woman and her casual actions. "Which you did not mean."

"Oh nooo, I meant every word. See I find I am more like you than before, remember the whole conversation we had back a while ago? Yeah ain't shit changed but the weather boo. I find you and I are too alike to coexist. Now, if you ain't trying to show me how good old girl gets it, leave me the hell alone. Besides my bae Nicholas is coming to find me. Everyone has left the carrier and he, unlike you, needs me. Bye bye, have a blessed one, enjoy your day." Liara finally lifted herself from her spot.

Her head was still a bit woozy, however the now muffled noises at a minimum over her music became far less a burden than before. In turning to scale the stairs, she refused to give the man she left standing there one last look. He was playing games once again, even if he did not see it, she did. He was going to have to choose what was more important to him in his own life. She refused to be the girl Banner or Hulk only came to for one thing.
