Smash Ultimate has restored my happiness!

If anyone wants to play me in that or Splatty2, just PM me for my friend code. But just that, please...

Also, have been meaning to update this for a few weeks but had to deal with some moving and travelling so I should be good to go. Starting from today I'll try to upload as regularly as possible. Also I'm not sure if I'm doing it right by putting it here but, what's your main? feel free to leave a comment if you'd like. For me, I'm a diehard Sonic, Splatoon, and Zelda fan, and Persona has stolen my heart (Especially after playing 3...5 was amazing but, goodness I love 3) so my mains will be: Inklings, Sonic, All Zelda characters, and Joker!

Manta Maria, the legendary ship that once sailed the seas to the new world ages ago sits docked-still maintained in great condition. Swaying calmly in the dark blue waters with subtle crashing waves heard in the far distance and the salty smell of the sea, the site for matchday 14 of the Rank Wars is a rare treat for those visiting who get to visit the museum inside the boat before pregame began. Inklings and jellies crowd the port in set-up bleachers doing team songs and chants as they wait for the first game to begin. Today's opening match is Squidcom vs Mayhem, a clash between two prime teams expected to make the playoffs with the storyline heading in being whether Mayhem's versatility would prove enough to upset the undefeated Squidcom, who're drawing more comparisons to the Elites as the season goes on. On the ship during pregame, both teams are setting up at their spawn and selecting their preferred weapon of choice and going over last second tactics and strategies before the game begins. Evelyn's doing her final stretches when she spots Violet over by her spawn sitting with her back against a wall, appearing to take a quick nap. Growing a devious smirk after seeing the peaceful violet inkling, Evelyn decides to go over to her location, her shoulders shaking with anticipation for Violet's reaction.

Propping her shoulders up with a snicker, Evelyn squats beside the sleeping inkling and goes near her ear, "Wake up second rate sniper…" she whispers with a childish laugh.

Violet shuffles for a second as Evelyn's vibrant yellow and black outfit shines in the sleeping inkling's eyes and forces her to wake up, her hair doing a swish as she jerks forward, her long sleeved blue shirt with pink and yellow fluttering in the breeze. Gathering her thoughts after waking up, she catches a complete image of Evelyn as the first thing in her line of sight, immediately frowning. "I dread for whoever wakes up next to you in the future."

Evelyn forces a smile, "That's the first thing you have to say? Talk about unfriendly…"

"Maybe because we aren't friends? I don't have a reason to."

"Fair enough. I wouldn't want to be friends with someone who I'm about to curb stomp over anyways."

"I can't wait to drown you in saltwater." Violet rubbed her eyes and gave a yawn.

"Wow, the immigrant's got something after all."

Violett raises an eyebrow, "I have a name."

"That's what you are, aren't you? Ashamed of it? Nothing wrong with being filthy like your homeland." Evelyn sneered.

"Why the focus on that? Can't you get creative in your trash talking?"

"Can't use another weapon other than a charger?"

Violet shakes her head, "You're digging your grave."

"I'm soooo petrified. I hope you're ready to lose everything on the turf today. I'll strip you down to just the pathetic Inkalian that you are-"

Violet holds up her hand, "Save your breath, you're not doing a good job right now."

"I blame the author…"

"Not their fault you're a rushed inclusion into the story."

"A-anyways, best me with that E-Liter, Mafia girl!" Evelyn said with a false bravado, looking to return some sort of animosity to the conversation.

Violet's head shot up at Evelyn in shock, seeing Evelyn give a deviant grin which left a bad feeling in her stomach as she processed everything and realized what Evelyn might be up to. Her eyes go dull at the thought of being exposed and the dozens of reactions received if anyone knew her true identity. The recollection of having to keep her private life under tight wraps to avoid the troubling attention, having to always stay quiet and avoid people to minimize the risk, the thought of all her efforts being ruined by some random person made her feel like she was about to erupt, a feeling she usually didn't harbor. Her fist clenches and she looks ready to throw a punch to Evelyn's mouth to shut her up for good, but Evelyn senses the hostility and take a huge step back with a laugh, knowing she finally got her where she wanted her. Evelyn looks over to her left and notices Sally, who's entering from her right. Sally spots the duo and notices that something seems strange about Violet speaking with her her opponents before a game, prompting her to go over and investigate the duo who're still in the same spot as before. Observing the air around the two, Sally noticed something seems off about Violent After all-she didn't seem like her usual self and instead looked bewildered for some reason; Evelyn makes her exit sensing that Sally will be an issue if she stays any longer, laughingly giving her regards to Violet and leaving the moment Sally arrives. Sally glances at Violet to get a better inference of what might've gone down while she wasn't there, but judging from Violet's sudden shift from loss of composure to her usual calm attitude, Sally couldn't help but seed through her friend's farce. Averting eye contact, Violet bites her lips and looks to brush off Sally, but Sally grabs her by the shoulder.

"Ohhhh no you don't-"

Violet smacks Sally's hand. Their eyes meet. Sally's surprised by Violet's seemingly automatic response and immediately begins asking questions to try and figure out what's wrong, but Violet doesn't give an answer and instead chooses to let her silence do the talking. Calm but cold and unfriendly, Violet's purple glare stunned Sally to the point that she couldn't muster up anything other than a disheartened "What's wrong?" to her unfriendly comrade, to which Violet closes her eyes and shakes her head since there is nothing left to be said on the matter. She leaves a moment later and heads to spawn to leave Sally alone, who feels like she's failed for some reason-as a teammate and best friend. At spawn are Azule and Reice who're making the last minute adjustments of the map, and their own personal objectives with their weapons in hand; Violet enters without a word said to them, her head down with her eyes shadowed away, and immediately she picks up her E Liter 4k scope. Azule and Reice can tell almost immediately that something is wrong, but unlike Sally, they decide to leave her be. Sally follows behind with a melancholy expression that paints a picture like there'd been a fallout between the two teammates, but after Azule's concern filled question, Sally shrugged it off and simply glance at the deeply focused Violet. The four line up and take their places since the countdown is about to begin, each of them looking to get whatever thoughts on their minds out before they begin, hoping to clear their head of any distractions since they once again have to defend their undefeated record.

"Expect a difficult battle. Mayhem's a great squad, but once we capture the point-aggressive play only!" Azule adjusted his hat with a confident smile.

"We'll need to be wary of their captain, too. I heard she's a solid player and can play a range of weapons." Reice added.

Sally takes another glance at Violet and turns to Reice and Azule and whispers in their ears; Violet's too focused on the enemy spawn to notice her teammates huddled together. After a few minutes go by of the trio whispering, everyone's gaze turns to Violet who still is oblivious to her teammate's concerned stares. The match starts with Violet leading the way out of spawn, turning around as she hops down from spawn she looks to her teammates with a ferocious spark in her eyes and gives a nod.

"Lascialo a me!" she shouted, rushing forward; Squidcom's got no clue what she just said. But nonetheless, it's a good sign to see that violet still has the same fighting spirit as always.

Violet makes her push up high and jumps to the overhead grated pathway in the middle of the ship, checking below the tower for any enemies and off in the distance for any strange movements in stray enemy ink. One, two, three swimmers are spotted in the bright green ink down below, but the fourth is missing…

A powerful streak of green ink shoots from the lower left, blurring Violet's vision for a second. The sound of ink splattering in the distance grows louder as she hears weapons firing below her, and opening her eyes she's met by Evelyn in the distance who has gun aimed at her forehead. Mayhem captures the tower, Evelyn barks an order, and Violet freezes as it feels like already she'd been showed up before she could put up a fight. How fast did Mayhem get to the tower? Did they prepare ahead of time for a plan like this and gambled on a swift frontal assault? Dozens of thoughts and feelings packed into Violet's mind as she stared down the identical weapon in Evelyn's hand that shined in the sunlight with a polished glow. Streaks of pink ink fly behind Violet and she's immediately welcomed by her teammates.. Azule, Reice, and Sally all have the looks of a team about to pummel their opponents but Violet didn't understand the sudden change in their attitude since a moment earlier they were pumped up and now they looked enraged.

Reice sends a long flick of pink ink and crashes into the floor below-emerging afterwards and scaring Mayhem off the point after causing a ruckus, "We don't know what was said between you and Mayhem's captain, but…"

Azule double rolls and forces Mayhem to retreat further and allow Reice to capture the tower, "But if she insulted you, we aren't letting her get away with it."

Sally loads her splatling and fires away-securing a double splat, "Sooooo go wild, Violet!"

Violet never spoke in her native tongue, so if she had that tone while speaking like that, Squidcom knew this was personal. Stunned to see how her team reacted to just the little things she did, Violet couldn't help but smile on the inside at how much her team cared about her. Even if they had no clue what happened, even if she tried to shut them out and shoulder the responsibility, her teammates always reminded her through their actions that she'll never be alone. From Sally's inclusion back at Beacon Hills, this team was willing to go great distances to look after those they cared about, and it was about time she did the same. Feeling a great burden of weight lifted from her shoulders, no longer did Violet feel worried to lose her secret and potentially be exposed to the world, no worries of blackmail-only defeating the opponent before and getting answers…

"Kick the captain's teeth in!" the trio shouts together in unison as they overwhelm Mayhem and capture the tower after a combined effort splat the remaining member of Mayhem.

Violet gives a quick nod and makes her way for Evelyn, ready to fight her own battle and isolate the Mayhem captain from making a attempt on the tower.

The crowd increases their magnitude of support as they watch Violet sprint with her charger over at Evelyn like a charging lancer, but Evelyn isn't fazed by the intimidating inkling closing in on her and stands her ground using the same weapon as Violet to prove a point in this match. She was just as good as Violet, at least she thought. Pulling the trigger multiple times, Evelyn forces Violet to have to dance around on the grated path ultimately trying to send her into squid form so that she falls through and either gets splatted by her or by her teammates from below who're super jumping to Evelyn's location. However Violet tricks her and instead shoots at the pillar for recoil and sends herself off the path by choice-surprising Evelyn, she's stunned for a split second, which gives the falling Violet enough time to fire another shot. It felt like thunder, the way it cracked the air as it shot, the force of wind that blew from the impact, and how painful the pink ink stings as it slams Evelyn in the left eye. Unfortunately missing her target by just inches from the forehead, Evelyn survived Violet's warning shot but knew she wouldn't get another chance if she gave her the opportunity. Violet crashes to the deck and does a barrel roll away from the enemy ink splattering everywhere as she sneaks a glance at Squidcom pushing the tower and take the lead.

"Get back here!" Evelyn shouted with a shaking fist looking down at Violet from far below, the huge splat of pink ink covering her left eye; she felt embarrassed to get showed up that quickly and stylishly by Violet and hastily wanted to return the favor, but Violet only looked up at her and shook her head with a smug grin.

"You won't be so lucky if this continues, better learn from that first shot. I'll hit you between the eyes next time." Violet winked; Evelyn's face turned red with anger.

"It's on!" Evelyn shouts, throwing down her ink mine where Violet is to force her to move the she wants her to, but Violet takes a leap backwards and fires in mid step sending another thunderous shot that scares Evelyn from the high ground and forces her to tactically retreat from their encounter and engage in the team battle, realizing at this rate she can't beat Violet directly.

"They're on their game today!" Kosami cheered, watching Sally and Azule take on the entire team while Reice provides assistance on the tower with Violet making a return to play a hand in the team battle..

Fuchsia nods, "I haven't seen them this fired up in a long time. I wonder what happened that got them this way. Usually Violet plays conservatively and supports from behind by adding pressure, but here she is at the helm!"

Jory scratches his cheek, "I don't know why but something tells me Violet's playing as if she's searching for an answer of some sort. Herself? Her opponent? The way she's playing resembles that of an explorer searching for treasure through the ruins deep in a tropical forest."

Fuchsia narrows her eyes, "Oddly specific but OK…"

Squidcom didn't ease up as the game continued. Throughout game 1 thus far, Squidcom kept possession by slowly stalling any counterattack of Mayhem and always having a body on the tower to keep a push and contain an attack, furthering their lead while eating up time in the match. The formula was simple: Swarm the tower, defend the tower, always stay on the tower. Their objective stayed simple and was effective since Mayhem had trouble picking them off. Whenever one member of Squidcom seemed to get splatted, the other two played an outrageous defense and didn't give any ground for a Mayhem push. It got difficult when Evelyn got involved because she offered that presence of a lethal sniper, though not lasting long since Violet gnawed at her ankles whenever she tried to make an escape and create space. Violet played viciously as well, splatting Evelyn 7 straight times and even spawn camping her and the others at times as Squidcom recovered to get the tower after getting splatted. She even managed to do an entire team wipe and earn a deafening praise from everyone in attendance; even big timers like Shiore and Siot couldn't ignore that type of feat.

"We're almost there!" Azule yelled returning from scouting spawn and seeing no one in sight, taking over Violet's spot as she swam in the opposite direction to look for a higher ground to scout.

Squidcom moves the tower, all four members on the moving objective hiding in their pink ink. Evelyn and Mayhem spread out with one taking a high route to the right, another going to the far left one sneaking behind a wall straight for the tower and a decoy in plain sight. Mayhem's plan consisted of using the decoy to try and lure Squidcom off the tower or at least capture their attention and give the two on the sides to ambush and attack the weak spots with the last member adding a powerful punch to team wipe, but as Evelyn-the decoy, lines up her shot and tries to splat one of the enemies on point, but instead gets met by a thunderous shot from Violet and is forced to retreat yet again; the others tried to make one last attempt to save the game, but Azule took care of them before they could even reach the tower. The whistle blows and everyone stops. Time expired. Squidcom captures the first game with ease. Mayhem's energy that they had at the beginning seemed to be all but gone, and who could blame them? They came into the day as one of the sleeper picks to play well and offer a challenge to Squidcom, but after one game, they could tell the gap. Even the confident Evelyn who'd talked trash to Violet felt herself shrinking at the thought of a sweeping defeat to Squidcom. Falling to her knees feeling despair creep into her thoughts, the shadow of Violet before only made the situation worse as she felt her deathly stare, afraid to raise her head and meet her eyes.

"I'll show you what Inkalian pride looks like." Violet said, narrowing her eyes; her tone as antagonistic as a hissing stray cat to another.

Game 2 produced much of the same as the previous with Squidcom taking control and Mayhem unable to retaliate; a fatal flaw that nobody thought would show up. However, halfway through the game when Squidcom took the lead at 100-46, Mayhem felt the desperation kick in and realized they needed to change for the sake of not having a meltdown that'd affect a playoff run. Feeling the pressures to still put up a fight against the best in the competition, it all came down on Evelyn's shoulders to rally her team and survive the onslaught of attacks. Giving a desperate cry of frustration, Evelyn tries to motivate her discouraged teammates for the inevitable comeback, but after hearing one of them say that they were facing an opponent out of their league, Evelyn couldn't help but feel her blood boiling at the thought of just rolling over and accepting defeat. Evelyn's eyebrows furrow as she locates Violet, who sat on the tower making everyone dance to her shots. "Our main objective is the tower, so what I'll do is rush in and try my best to force them off, at that moment, claim the tower and get moving."

"B-but Eve-"

"We don't have time for this, follow my orders. Trust your captain!"

Evelyn rushes to the frontlines and confronts Squidcom head on, knowing that even if they were trying the same tactic, it's all they had; they didn't account for Violet being the breakout performer in this match. Squidcom's surprised by her gutsy action but Violet warns them of what she's trying to do and Squidcom retreats from the tower. Evelyn rushes past the tower, letting her teammates claim the tower as she rushes towards the dispersing Squicom, looking to grab a quick splat or two.

Kosami notices the change and feels the momentum swaying, "Looks like Mayhem's gonna play serious now. They've got life in them again."

Like a breeze blowing in change, Mayhem's fighting against the waves adversity presented by Squidcom with their captain having to pull out all the stops to keep this drive alive. There's 2 minutes left in the game, Squidcom's score now moved to 12 points left while Mayhem's trying to mount the comeback, fighting an uphill battle as Squidcom gangs up on Evelyn and force her to retreat to the tower for reinforcements.

A thunderous shot fires.

Violet's missing from the action, and so is Azule who'd been nearby the vicinity. The members of Mayhem all had the same look of utter shock on their faces much like the audience, the deafening cheers dying down and transitioning to gasps and confusion. Whether off a whim or pure skill, Evelyn managed to pull a crucial double splat and for a moment's notice spark a chance for the comeback. Mayhem pours everything they have like water exiting the flood gates as gallons of ink decorate the surrounding area and force Sally and Reice to backtrack since a team wipe could spell doom for Squidcom in this game. Lucky for Squidcom, they had a well built lead and time playing on their side, but with Mayhem making a final push, going into overtime would be a nightmare unless they could hold them off.

Fuchsia narrows her eyes and stands up-cupping her hands around her mouth and shutting her eyes, "MAX DEFENSE! OPTION 12!"

Azule respawns and hears the commands through the sea of indistinct sounds in the crowds and gives a nod. Mayhem's making up ground as they make it over the halfway point and begin their comeback with the score ticking down rapidly with the clock beeping frantically. Under a minute to go in the game and Mayhem's push worked out in multiple ways since Squidcom were forced to retreat and refrain from attacking until the numbers were even; Mayhem took advantage of this by having an overextension to try and shut down Squidcom for good as the tower chugs with a tune playing. Mayhem continues the press on Squidcom and focus on one target at a time-if they forced the numbers to always be in their favor, eventually they'd have Squidcom in a corner of some sort, at least that's what Evelyn thought. Evelyn knew the way to attack Squidcom was to isolate them and force them to decide their priorities: objective or kill? Either way, getting both wouldn't happen if they were at a disadvantage and forced to do split second thinking.

"This isn't good…" Fuchsia reads the turf, noticing what Evelyn and Mayhem are up to, explaining to Kosami and Jory afterwards what Mayhem's planning. "Unless we pull a rally within the upcoming moments, this game could go to overtime because of Mayhem having the tower continue its path while pressuring us to sloppily try and attack-leaving our defenses open. If that happens, anything goes…"

Squidcom isn't an overtime team. They don't usually let games go to overtime that often, however this wasn't all too bad. If it went to overtime, Squidcom could simply force them off the tower and claim it to end the game, but the bad news was simply momentum-all to Mayhem. If overtime came and Squidcom failed to capture the point, all the pressure would be on their shoulders to prevent the loss. The third game would become a nightmarish scenario for Squidcom if that happened. Evelyn lines her shot and snags a double splat of Reice and Azule, who'd accidentally rolled into her line of sight. Violet's up on top a platform trying her hardest to get them off the tower, but with them returning fire and focusing on her, she had no choice but to retreat at moments and return when the view seemed right; Sally plays like a warrior, gritting her teeth and recklessly throwing herself into open fire-if only she'd equipped dualies instead a splatling, then maybe she'd be an unstoppable force? One could only wonder because although she's able to flawlessly avoid enemy fire, she can't return fire and has to constantly backup to create space to fire, only helping the chugging tower of Mayhem reach the point. Azule and Reice arrive again, but time is slipping away with under half a minute left in the match and Mayhem closing on the point; the score is 35-10 in favor of Squidcom. Time feels like it's escaping and working against Squidcom as Mayhem dwindle the score to 20, and only ten seconds remaining; people are up on their feet, rising like a wave in anticipation of a crazy finish!

"10!" the audience counts down, noticing the timer ticking on the scoreboard; Mayhem's getting ever so close!

The score is at 18-10, Mayhem huddle on the tower and protect it at all costs as Squidcom surrounds the tower for the final showdown. Either Mayhem defends the tower and advance, or Squidcom forces them off and survives the comeback. Who wants it more?

"9!"

Azule takes initiative and does a double roll into them, throwing out his Burst Bomb into the tower; Mayhem takes little damage, but get a safety blanket when one of the members drop a splash wall, and Evelyn drops an Ink Mine on the tower itself to ensure that if Squidcom tried to capture the tower, they'd be toast! Reice sends his flying ink at them, trying to overpower the splash wall as Mayhem recovers.

"8!"

Sally fires her splatling at the tower and obliterates it. But, no one's on the tower! Squidcom's confused for a moment by how quickly everyone's disappeared, even the tower stopped moving which meant now was on board!

"7!"

Their goal was never to let Squidcom get on board, but to simply get that one second advantage to assault Squidcom with everything they got from the front; the ink exchange left the grounds covered in both ink that it wasn't impossible for Mayhem to pull off a stunt like that. Mayhem prepare to fire everything they have.

"6!"

They'd been saving up for this moment, suffering the embarrassment just for this moment! Mayhem unleashes their combined specials to create chaos and despair for Squidcom, who can feel their defeat materialize as they're forced into Mayhem's hands.

"5!"

Ink Storm, Splashdown, Baller. The surrounding turf turns from a combination of green and pink to completely green, and Mayhem head to the tower to win the game, landing a triple and taking out Squidcom in entirety-no one to defend them as they go to overtime to win.

"4!"

A shadow hovers over them, sneaking from behind and rains pink ink. Mayhem's in shock by the special that could only belong to one person. They're in trouble, if they hop off the tower, they'd lose a precious few seconds, but if they stayed in the range of this cloud, they'd be done before they knew it.

"3!"

One member of Mayhem jumps off the tower in fear of being splatted and chooses to desperately survive in the case that they can recover the tower in the closing seconds to keep the game alive. The next moment, they're blown to smithereens-Mayhem's horrified. An Ink Mine and Ink Storm on the enemy team's kit could only belong to one person, and Mayhem's fears, Evelyn's fears, became a reality as they felt a terrible aura behind them.

"2!"

Cold blooded. She pulls the trigger, taking two more with her and leaves Evelyn alone, rushing at her instead. Evelyn's legs tremble furiously as she screams in terror.

"1!"

Pink ink flies everywhere. The whistle blows. No overtime. By the skin of their teeth, Squidcom survived to win 12-10 and hold off a rallying Mayhem. Violet drops to the floor and sits with her arms resting on her knees, exhausted. She feels her chest, the pounding that seemingly grew in intensity as it felt like it was about to burst out her chest. Taking a deep breath, she fell to her back and smiled, closing her eyes. Single handedly, Violet saved Squidcom. Even though it was a sweep, that last game felt like it was the third game. If Mayhem won that game, they would've taken the series. The muffled cheers covered by the ink her ears, Violet's helped up to her feet by Sally, who gives her the warmest embrace she can remember, Reice gives a high five, and Azule even takes off his hat to show her his respect. Violet played her best game ever for Squidcom. Fuchsia and Kosami breathe heavy sighs of relief while Jory laughs after nervously having bitten his nails watching the game. Siot and Shiore on the respective ends are amazed and cant help but applaud her performance, after a game like that, both recognize Squidcom is more than just a team with Sky Royale's little brother at lead, the team had four genuinely talented opponents that'd give trouble for the next 3 years. On Mayhem's end, the defeat stings incredibly as they come to grips with being swept by the best team in the competition. However, while they felt discouraged for their loss, they receive plentiful cheers from the audience, who commended them for giving their all in that last game after having gotten crushed in the first game. They weren't the only ones, even Squidcom went out their way to find them and an awkward pause led to every member of Squidcom holding their hand out to shake hands, surprising Mayhem. After that, Violet and Evelyn stayed behind on Violet's request while the others left.

With the sounds of the pleased audience behind them, Violet and Evelyn exchange a momentary stare at one another with no emotion found, the air between them still tense, but the anxiety present in the pregame from Evelyn and the animosity from Violet-dissipated. Violet's stare soon turned to a warm gaze as she gave a soft smile, "We're the same aren't we?"

Evelyn shook her head in shame, "You won. Don't disrespect yourself by sinking to my level. I-"

"I didn't mean in skill…"

Evelyn's eyes raised in surprise, "Wha-"

"I mean in blood. You're also one too, aren't you? There's an old saying my parents used to tell me when I was younger. 'The bonds of Inkalians are so strong that you can tell just from seeing one that you know they're a fellow sibling under the same flag' meaning that no matter what, we can tell when we found a fellow brother or sister from the same motherland."

Evelyn didn't answer for a moment as she seemed to be torn on whether to speak what's on her mind, but after seeing Violet's smile slowly grow with hopeful eyes, she couldn't contain herself anymore. Tilting her head to the side, her face filled with regret and apology, pinching her index finger and thumb on her nose and shaking her head with a forced smile, "You got me." She pulls a chain from under her shirt and shows Violet the tricolore flag of green, white, and red with fine designs of a cephalopod in the green and red. "I wouldn't be able to call myself an Inkalian if I didn't show some pride, right?" she beamed; Violet nodded, showing the necklace she too wore along with Reice's necklace.

"Figured. During the game, I noticed a different fight in you. At first you lost your cool, and let your pride blind your vision, sticking to the same failing tactics to try and stop us. You lost sight of what you were searching for, too focused on outdoing me...You're not a charger main, are you?"

Evelyn shook her head, "I'm a DPS heavy player…"

Violet smirked, "Yeah, you played like a real meat shield despite having a support weapon."

"This is embarrassing. I was being rude to you earlier and even talked about you family. I probably gave you a ton of anxiety by revealing that I knew identity. I'm sorry, really."

"That's what gave away that you're a sister in blood. No one should know of my true identity unless I told them, and that's very few people. IF you knew, that means you had to have ties to Beacon Hills, or Inkaly…"

"I'm a third generation. My siblings and I heard stories about your family and how they were heroes back home. Then when I learned that they moved over here and then that you fit the description of the don's daughter-"

"It's fine, no need to bring it up here."

"Once again, sorry for being so rude. It's only for the spirit of competition. I didn't think being too friendly was an appropriate measure for an opponent you know? I figured it'd be better if you hated me and went all-out than hold back because we were friends."

Uh-no, you can still be friendly and mean competition…

Violet shakes her head and waves her hand, "It's fine, Evelyn. I think you've made your point."

"R-right. Anyways, I hope we can meet again in the playoffs. I'd love to go up against the successor to the infamous Sororia family in higher stakes match. Next time, we won't lose!"

"Sure, and if you see me around campus don't hesitate to say hi."

"Will do, thanks!"

They share a warm hug. Having started off as enemies, playing their hearts out and coming to the realization that they shared a special bond, it was beauty like that which made the turf wars so special, what makes the Rank Wars what it is and why it has a special place in the hearts of Squid Academy. As another day comes to a close, the playoffs approach. Can Squidcom stay undefeated for the rest of the regular season, hoping to do so, they know that one final roadblock stands in their way of creating school history: Kidvel, the other top team in the competition.
