Okay, so, shortly after I uploaded the last chapter, my brother decided to give my little shit fanfic here a shot, and at this point, Kaiju Huntsmen has been up for around three years and had around a hundred reviews, favorites, and follows each. SO CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THE FUCK IN ALL THIS FUCKING TIME THE HUNTSMEN IN THE MAIN TITLE WAS SPELLED "HUNSTMEN" AND I NEVER NOTICED AND NO ONE TOLD ME UNTIL MY BROTHER SAW IT?!
Xenilla blinked a few times as he had to process what his brother said just a moment before, and putting it together it, before his face contorted into a scowl, "You're kidding me right? You just reprimanded me for doing something stupid, and now you're probably about to do one of the dumbest things you can possibly do right now?!". His voice echoing through the otherwise silent area under the highway bridges he had been under for seemingly all night, the only other sounds being echoing sirens of the law enforcement that probably had the whole area surrounded and the stones dropping onto the floor from the pile of shifting rubble up ahead. "I know it's a bit hypocritical of me, but this is something that I need to do Xenilla." Godzilla said again in his emotionless tone as he kept his back turned to his brother as stared ahead at where Ghidorah laid hidden.
"And what would POSSIBLY be so important that you would risk forfeiting our cover plus any goodwill we could get by possibly destroying half the city?" Xenilla demanded as he took a step forward in a threatening manner out of a sense of frustration and anger with the King of the Monsters, despite not intending to do anything of physical harm to Godzilla. "Because that bastard is here." Godzilla said again, but this time, his stoic behavior broke as he spat at the word "bastard" in absolute disgust and hate as body tensed and he clenched his fist into a tight fist. Xenilla, still frustrated with what Godzilla was planning on doing, had opened his mouth intent on shouting at his brother, something along the lines of "Of course he's here you idiot! You just punched him in the face afterall.", but then he noticed how tense his brother was and the exact tone he had used. It then occurred to Xenilla that Godzilla wasn't talking about Ghidorah at all, but someone else entirely. Someone that Xenilla had a pretty good guess at who it was based on how the behavior of the physical Incarnation of Nuclear Armageddon.
The pile of rubble up ahead began to violently shake as more and more rocks fell off of it, warning of the upcoming battle that was to come as Ghidorah breaks free his temporary prison when he came to. Godzilla, despite looking straight at it, wasn't focusing on that though. Xenilla watched as his brother got increasingly tense, his form shaking slightly either from unfathomable anger or fear as he watched a familiar group of events play out before him in his own little world. These little "episodes" of his brother's were bad enough when he just heard or thought about the Demonic Kaiju, and Xenilla was a hard time imagining how bad it was with the knowledge that Destroyah was back on the same world as him and maybe even in the same city as him.
"How would you know that?" Xenilla said, his tone now one of caution as he didn't want to set off his brother without access to the photo that usually calmed him down. "I was wandering around an hour earlier, Yang had rushed off to do something, and I didn't have anything better to do other than just explore the city." Godzilla said, his body relaxed somewhat, but he still kept his eye focused on the rabidly destabilizing pile of rubble in front of him as he continued, "Before long, I came across Ghidorah's scent, and I quickly followed it. However, there was a trace of another Kaiju scent that I didn't immediately recognized, due to how long it's been but it still made me way too uneasy . It didn't take me long to realize it was Destroyah's though, and that it was recent.". Godzilla finally looked back at Xenilla, albeit briefly before he locked back onto the collapsing rubble, as if to make sure he hadn't disappeared when he said the Demon Kaiju's name, a concern that wasn't entirely unwarranted due to his past with Destroyah.
Xenilla fell silent as he took in the information and began to mull over his options. He still thought it would be best if they retreated here and now rather than confronting Ghidorah and Hokmuto, but the presence of Destroyah complicated things a lot. Not only would Godzilla be adamant about getting information on the Demon Kaiju's whereabouts so he could go after him himself, it could also prove critical in avoiding an ambush. If taken head on, even Godzilla's chances against Destroyah were unclear at the best of times, so being caught off guard would almost certainly be a death sentence for any of them.
As he continued thinking it over, Xenilla looked himself over in order to check how much he had healed over the course of the conversation. His healing factor had done its job well as all of his wounds he had received from Ghidorah and Hokmuto were closed and were turning into small scars that would soon also disappear. The only set of injuries that seemed to be lingering for a bit longer were ironically the burns that his arms had gotten from Godzilla's earlier Nuclear Pulse, though that was only because of the difficulty in replacing carbonized cells and they would also disappear before the end of the night. His shoulder crystals were already growing back to about half their normal height, causing a good portion of the power that he normally had to flow through his body.
The time for him to decide on a course of action came sooner than he would of liked though, as the pile of debris up a head gave a brief flash of golden light before it exploding outward, sending the pieces of concrete throughout the area as a dust cloud formed around it. Xenilla gritted his teeth as he came to a decision, his fingers twitched, causing a green aura to cover his spear, which had been lying on the ground some distance away, before it promptly flew back to its master's hand. Xenilla gave an agitated sigh, the green light that held the spear began to expand, quickly covering the arm that held it before moving to fully encompass all of Xenilla's body. Godzilla, noticing the growing amount of green light behind him, turned around somewhat to see what his brother was doing, only to see Xenilla beginning to levitate in the air with his back turned to him.
"Despite me not liking a single part of this… I'm going to trust you on this." Xenilla said as he glanced back at Godzilla, "Just follow your own advice, and don't do anything stupid before I have enough time to find Kiryu so we can keep your mess under control.". "Thanks, and I'll do my best but I can't promise anything on that second part." Godzilla said, giving a dry chuckle before his gaze quickly hardened again as he looked back at the dissipating dust cloud ahead of him, allowing him to clearly see the outline of one of his oldest enemies through thick grey fog of dust. Godzilla didn't get another response from Xenilla, instead the light behind him began to grow dim as the telekinetic Kaiju lifted his body off of the ground and began to fly away, causing the light to disappear entirely.
The sound of metal clanking against the ground was heard just before the smoke gave way to reveal Ghidorah walking out of the cloud, his blood red eyes practically glowing with hate as they quickly found and glared into the flaming orange eyes of Godzilla, which returned it with equal ferocity. Ghidorah's eyes briefly flicked to the side when he caught sight of the fleeing green aura of Xenilla light flying away, but they quickly went back to matching the burning glare with his old rival. The dull blue light of Reactor began to grow stronger as its master prepared for the upcoming fight. In contrast, Ghidorah's trident gave a short crackle of golden electricity that briefly traveled between the three heads before it died out.
Silence reigned over the area as the two Kaiju Kings sized each other up in their human forms, each engraving how the other looked in their memories for future use. Godzilla quickly noticed the size difference between them, with him as usual being a noticeable amount shorter than Ghidorah, reaching only up to the other Kaiju's dragon head adorned shoulders, not that it ever mattered to him anyway. The wounds that still adorned Ghidorah from the earlier fight were also hard for him to ignore, such as the bruises that were still present from the earlier punches of his brother and the blood covered cut in the side. Despite the grievous wound, along with others that were visible for Godzilla to see, he knew from experience not to let his guard down, as it would take a good deal more damage to even slow Ghidorah down.
"...Godzilla, it's been awhile." Ghidorah said, breaking the tense silence between the two of them once he was satisfied with inspecting the rival king, "How long has it been on Earth since we last fought? A decade? Two? Thr-". A loud animalistic growl erupted from Godzilla's throat, interrupting Ghidorah as the God of Destruction evidently wasn't in the mood to think back on the past at the moment. "I'm only asking this once, and giving you one chance only at getting out of here alive Ghidorah, where is he!?" Godzilla snarled before Ghidorah could get another word in, his eyes distinctly reptilian as they continued glaring at the Kaiju in front of him. "Him? I'm sorry, but you're going to have be more specific because I have no idea what your talking about, Godzilla." Ghidorah said as he scratched at one of the bruises on his face, unfazed by the extremely hostile interruption, which elicited another, more frustrated, growl from Godzilla. "Don't play your games with me Ghidorah. You know where that bastard Destroyah is, and you are going to tell me where he is!" Godzilla roared at him, hand quickly flying to the hilt of Reactor, the rage he already had at the moment made it to where the frustration barely had any room to build up before it exploded.
"Destroyah? What would you want with that-" Ghidorah said, briefly caught off guard by the demand, not knowing any reason why anyone would voluntarily go after the Demon Kaiju before he suddenly remembered something, "Oh, that's right, the two of you apparently have some kind of history with each other.". Reactor was drawn out from its sheath slowly, causing the blue light that it gave off to go from dull to brilliant as the nuclear energy within the blade began to leak out in the form of small blue flames now that it was no longer contained in the sheath. Ghidorah wasn't intimidated by this display however, "Something about him killing your "family"? Or at least something along those lines." Ghidorah taunted, his tone nonchalant, as if he didn't care, but it was obvious that he was going to take whatever came next seriously if you paid attention and saw how tense he was and how tightly he held onto his trident. Despite his confidence, he was caught off guard by Godzilla's response to his taunt.
Godzilla's eyes widened in rage as he quickly pulled out the rest of Reactor from the rest of the sheath, nuclear energy leaking out of the blade in the forms of Azure blue light and flames that lined the edge of the blade, before he let loose a warcry that resembled a roar and charged forward. He quickly blitzed across the distance that separated the two Kaiju in matter of seconds before, becoming a blur to human eyes due the speed he traveled. Ghidorah, caught off guard by the surprising speed and the sudden attack, barely was able to place his trident in front of him in a defensive manner in time to block a powerful slash from Reactor. Sparks flew from the collision of the two weapons, and the force of the attack caused Ghidorah to stumble backwards as Godzilla's own momentum carried him for a bit more distance. And like that, the battle between the two old rivals began.
Godzilla turned around slammed his empty hand against the ground in order to further slow him down faster, before he launched forward back at Ghidorah, who likewise recovered from stumbling. Gritting his teeth together and giving his own growl, Ghidorah managed to block another slash from Reactor, causing more sparks to fly between the weapons. As always, Ghidorah never liked being on the defense of a fight, being the sadistic monster that he was, so it wasn't even a surprise when the Golden King of Terror decided to counter attack whenever he was attacked for too long. As soon as he felt the blade of Reactor slam against the shaft of the trident, Ghidorah shifted most of his weight on his right foot and angled his trident towards his left side, redirecting the force of the attack. Reactor slid down the golden shaft of the trident, causing Godzilla, who was still under the effect of his own momentum, to follow it against his will, causing him to stumble forward.
Ghidorah wasn't done yet, and now that a radioactive sword wasn't threatening to cut his currently only head in two, Ghidorah let his trident continue to follow the path that it had before he twisted around completely. This promptly caused one of the corners that connected the heads of the trident to come back around and slam into the side of Godzilla's head. The collision caused Godzilla to stumble back a bit as he let out a grunt of pain, giving Ghidorah another opening for an attack. Ghidorah pulled his trident back before launching it forward again, intent on running it straight through Godzilla's chest. Godzilla recovered quicker than he thought, grabbing the pole with his free hand and quickly redirecting it away from his center mass, causing it to barely miss his shoulder by an inch. Now it was Ghidorah's turn to be left open for an attack.
Godzilla brought Reactor around and slammed the hilt into Ghidorah's face, forcing the bigger opponent back by a few steps. Godzilla then twisted around, grabbing the hilt of Reactor with his secondhand before bringing the sword around him in a large slash that hit Ghidorah in his exposed side. Fortunately for Ghidorah, the blade was caught by his armor, so it didn't get to cut into his body, but the force behind the attack still took his breath away before he was sent flying off of the ground. Ghidorah let out a grunt of pain as he felt the force of the blow and the effect of gravity leaving him involuntary, but he managed to hold onto his trident. He flew quite a distance before landing roughly and skidding before crashing into the remains of one of the broken pillars, causing pain to once more rack his body.
Seeing where Ghidorah had landed, Godzilla felt the rush of Nuclear energy once more flow through his body before he launched forwards again. Ghidorah barely reacted in time for him to roll out of the way fast enough to avoid the blue glowing blue sword that cleanly slashed through the concrete he had just landed against. Ghidorah quickly got back onto his feet, grabbing hold of his trident on both hands, he shot forward and attempted to stab Godzilla in the side before he could recover from the swing. Godzilla was quick to catch what Ghidorah was up to and quickly jumped back to avoid the stab, bring Reactor around him in a long slashing arc that managed to cut through Ghidorah's armor on his right bicep. It wasn't a very deep wound, but it did break the skin.
Ghidorah gave out a sharp groan of pain upon feeling the sword cut through both his armor and skin to draw blood before it quickly turned into a growl of frustration as he quickly and sharply rotated his trident downward at Godzilla's feet before stabbing it towards them. The three pointed heads of the trident impaled nothing but concrete ground as Godzilla jumped over the weapon in to avoid the attack before snapping his foot out and kicking Ghidorah in the face. Ghidorah grunted from the pain as the kick caused him to stumble backwards in a disorientated mess from the blow to head, pulling his trident out of the ground. Godzilla raised the blue burning sword of Reactor as he began to descend toward the ground, swinging it downward less than a second later, but Ghidorah managed to recover fast enough to block the overhead swing with the shaft of his trident in time. Ghidorah felt his back press against the remains of the concrete pillar as more force was applied on the trident when Godzilla's feet landed back on the ground, both him and Ghidorah gritting their teeth in effort as they tried to defend and break the guard respectively.
"Tell me where that bastard is!" Godzilla demanded, his glare currently trying to burn a hole straight through Ghidorah, who glared back at him with just as much ferocity and hatred. Underneath the burning blue light, the rubies that made up the eyes of the Draconic shoulderguards gleamed oddly, and the glare upon Ghidorah's face slowly turned into a sharp grin before the Golden King of Terror spoke "Sorry Godzilla, but I'm afraid that I still can't tell you anything. Maybe you can ask Hokmuto instead?". Godzilla's eyes briefly went wide with realization as to what that meant, but he had little time to do anything else before pain racked his backside as two hooked blades cut straight through his jacket and skin, causing blood to spray out of the newly made wounds. Godzilla couldn't stop the sudden gasp of shock and pain that erupted out of his mouth at the sudden attack as the force he had been putting down against Ghidorah's Trident suddenly diminished as he lost focus, which was taken advantage of when Ghidorah shoved the sword out the way simultaneously with a swift kick to Godzilla's stomach that forced him back. Ghidorah quickly brought his trident around in a slash gave Godzilla a shallow cut across his lower torso before the he surged forward once more and slammed his fist into Godzilla's face in revenge for earlier, sending Godzilla flying back from the force of the punch.
Godzilla quickly traveled a good distance away from the Golden King of Terror, about fifteen feet away before his body began to lower back to the ground. "YOU BASTARD!" a screaming voice caused Godzilla's eyes to snap open upon recognition of it before he felt the wind pick up quickly. Acting on instinct, Godzilla quickly blocked an incoming attack by bringing Reactor up to stop two hooked blades from stabbing themselves straight into his eyes, where he came face to face with an all but snarling face of Hokmuto. The snarl quickly turned into one of shock upon realization that Godzilla had recovered much faster than he had expected, and managed to block his attempt to blind him. Using Hokmuto's shock to his advantage, Godzilla let go of Reactor's hilt with his left hand and quickly slammed his hand against the ground, bringing him to a sudden stop and rotate in the air fast enough to land a hard kick into Hokmuto's side. Hokmuto felt the air in his lungs leave him as he gasped out in pain as the kick sent him off to the side, where he had a hard landing onto the concrete floor and came to a rolling stop.
Hokmuto groaned in pain as he held his side as he got back onto his feet, stumbling somewhat as he continued to recover from the blow he had received from Godzilla, breathing deeply as he did in order to replenish his air supply from having forcibly removed from him. A familiar bright blue glow caught Hokmuto's attention, causing him to snap his head up just in time to see that Godzilla had closed the distance between them already with Reactor already prepared for a slash that would cut Hokmuto's head off. Hokmuto quickly jumped back, both out of shock from how fast Godzilla was and in an attempt to get some distance between them as Godzilla began to swing out his sword, but it wouldn't be enough to avoid the sword burning with Nuclear power. Fortune smiled upon Hokmuto at that instant, as just before Godzilla's swing could come in contact with him and land what would probably be a lethal wound, a bolt of golden electricity slammed into Godzilla's upper shoulder.
Godzilla cried out in intense pain as he felt the skin on his burn away and the force of the Gravity Beam both sent him flying back as well as dislocated his shoulder. Hokmuto was also sent back a few feet by the attack, but managed to recover fast enough to properly land on his feet. Godzilla on the other hand had landed hard against the ground, sending pieces of concrete up as slammed through them, leaving a visible trail of him being sent through the ground. Stabbing Reactor into the ground, he finally managed to come to a stop, crouching down as he glared back at both Hokmuto and the source of the attack that had just wounded him with clear intent to kill, a glare that Hokmuto returned full force as best he could from behind his glasses. The clanging sound of footprints behind him alerted Hokmuto to the fact that Ghidorah had made his way over to behind him, and the crackling sound of electricity informed him that he was fully prepared to fire off another Gravity Beam without looking back at the Golden Terror.
Godzilla rose back onto his feet quickly, taking Reactor out of the ground as he did so, the blade still giving off the eerie blue light of nuclear energy that intensified somewhat in response to the Golden crackling of energy of Ghidorah's trident. His eyes, however, were locked onto Ghidorah's companion in an intense focus as he searched for anything that could give away the Kaiju's identity so he could properly gauge the threat he was dealing with. The scent of him was certainly familiar, meaning he had fought him before, but he was unable to place it and he didn't bear anything that would make him resemble any of Ghidorah's usual sidekicks. The Kaiju King then remember that Ghidorah had, just before the Kaiju had attacked him, said the Kaiju's name, Hokmuto. It didn't help Godzilla place where he had seen him before, but it was something that would probably help him later on.
"Whoever the hell you are-" Godzilla all but growled out as he raised Reactor up and pointed at the Kaiju who stayed unmoving while glaring back at him as he continued, "I'm giving you one chance to tell me where Destroyah and escape while you can.". "Whoever the hell I am!?" Hokmuto yelled back mockingly as the grip on his hooked blades tightened to the point where his knuckles turned white, "You don't even remember me after what you've done!?". He got onto his feet angrily, looking like he was about to charge at Godzilla, causing him to tense in preparation for an incoming attack, but was stopped when Ghidorah put a firm armored hand on his shoulder without looking away from Godzilla. "What!?" Hokmuto snapped at Ghidorah, his anger causing him to forget his place, but fortunately for him, Ghidorah ignored this as he took a step forward to be in front of the parasitic Kaiju. "If you attack him head on, you'll die without even wounding him." Ghidorah said stoically as Hokmuto growled under his breath at him, "He's much stronger than when you first fought him, and I doubt even both of us will win if we just charge at him.".
"So what do you suggest we do than? Just run away when he's right there in front of us!?" Hokmuto demanded getting closer to Ghidorah, before Ghidorah finally looked away from Godzilla to fix Hokmuto with a fierce glare as he gave a growl that showed his displeasure with the other Kaiju's behavior, forcing Hokmuto to back off, not wanting to risk Ghidorah's wrath more than he already had. Ghidorah looked away a second later when he was satisfied with glaring at Hokmuto, returning his line of sight back onto Godzilla, who had been watching them silently and was now rolling his healed shoulder, testing if it was ready for the fight. "What I suggest is that we don't go in and get ourselves killed like a pair of idiots, and we actually fight with a modicum of competency." Ghidorah growled back to Hokmuto as Godzilla found satisfaction with his shoulder before grabbing the strap around his torso that held Reactor's sheathing his back. Hokmuto growled out his displeasure, but relented as both he and Ghidorah tensed for the imminent fight, "Fine, just as long as the bastard dies." the parasitic Kaiju said as Godzilla pulled the strap over his head and the arm that held Reactor before he trapped the base of the sheath and held it as if it was a second sword.
Silence filled the area as the two sides glared at each other, the only sounds being the wind and their breathing and the crackling of energy form Ghidorah's trident, which was aimed at the middle of Godzilla's chest, and the occasional warning growl that came from each of the monsters in human form. Both sides remained tense and unmoving as they were apparently unwilling to make the first move. Eventually though, Godzilla's patience ran short, a growl forced itself out of his throat before he slashed Reactor out in front of him, sending off a long arching wave of nuclear energy, and like that, the fight had begun.
Hokmuto quickly jumped off to the side, disappearing with an intense burst of speed as Ghidorah fired off a Gravity Beam from the crackling trident, which met the wave of nuclear energy, canceling it out with a small explosion of light and dust. Before it had settled, Godzilla charged straight through the dust cloud, swinging Reactor once more to send out another wave of nuclear energy. With it being so much closer, there was no time for Ghidorah to charge up another Gravity Beam, so he followed Hokmuto's earlier example and rolled out of the way of it, letting it fly by him.
Godzilla was quickly upon him, stopping in front of him before bringing Reactor down onto him with a downward slash, however, Ghidorah was fast enough to block the sword once more with the shaft of his trident before it could come into contact with his skull. The Golden Kaiju gave a grunt of effort as he angled the trident to let the radioactive blade slide down the shaft as he quickly shot up onto both feet to spin the trident around to slash at Godzilla's side, who quickly sidestepped the attack. Letting loose a growl, Godzilla swung the sheath at the three heads of the trident, causing a metallic ring to be treated as the trident was forced upward, leaving Ghidorah open for Godzilla to step in and thrust Reactor at him. Ghidorah quickly shifted his weight to his back foot, allowing him to narrowly dodge the blade. He then took a step back to avoid a second attack in the form of Godzilla swiping his sheath at him as he was carried forward by the momentum of his thrust.
Now that he was safe from both attacks, Ghidorah pulled his trident back with one hand before grabbing it with both and spinning it around him as he took a step forward, thrusting his trident ahead of him at Godzilla. The King of the Monsters came to a quick stop as he dug his foot into the ground, lifting the other as he bring the sheath up to be parallel with the sword that it was designed to hold as he twisted around on his foot, dodging the trident as well as bringing both Reactor and it's sheath around for an attack. Due to the angling of the attack, Reactor would fly over Ghidorah's trident, and its sheath would go under it, leaving a little bit of space between both. Noticing this, Ghidorah quickly twisted his trident his trident, managing to catch the blade between the middle and side heads of the trident, but the force of catching it had raised the trident upwards, leaving Ghidorah undefended from the sheath, which struck him in the upper part of the arm, just underneath the dragon head shoulder guarded
Ghidorah gasped out as he felt pain surge through his arm upon the sheath making contact, and the force of the blow had forced him to stagger back. Godzilla wasn't done just yet, however. The leg that was still on the ground bent just before Godzilla jumped, and while he was in the air, he twisted his body around with Reactor extended outwards, landing a vertical slash down Ghidorah's chest, which sprayed out a small bit of blood as it was created. Feeling the need to not just add insult to injury, but also to add injury upon injury, Godzilla snapped his leg out, slamming his foot onto the newly made cut, causing more blood to be drawn out as well giving a noticeable dent in Ghidorah's armor. The air in the Golden Kaiju's lungs was forced out in the form of a pain filled gasp under the force of the kick just before the same force sent him flying backwards.
Before Godzilla could give chase and continue his onslaught, and even before his feet could come back into contact with the ground, sparks flew off of his sheath from a pair of two hooked blades that been aimed for his skull, only to be blocked by accident. Godzilla's feet came back into contact with the solid ground, his eyes quickly searching for the one who had just attacked him, and quickly the fiery orbs landed on Hokmuto, who had landed crouching a few yards away from him after the failed attack. The smaller Kaiju looked backed to inspect whatever damage he had done, only to see the burning eyes of Godzilla looking right back at him, not only completely unharmed, but in the process of turning around toward him. Hokmuto's eyes barely had any time to widen in realization as to what was about to happen before Godzilla shot off towards him, and he had even less time to move just out of the way before Reactor's sheath slammed down on top of where he was, easily smashing through the concrete as a gust of wind was created by from the force of the impact.
A growl erupted out of Godzilla as he realized he had missed before he took a step forward, spinning on his foot as he did, bringing his sword around and pulling his sheath out of the concrete ground. Hokmuto swore angrily as he barely managed to duck under the nuclear sword's wide swing, and felt the burning nuclear energy singe the very air that was over his head. Once it safely flew over him, Hokmuto quickly shot up, bringing both of hooked blades from his side up in a cross motion, intent on either stabbing Godzilla with the hooks or cutting open the Incarnate of Nuclear Armageddon stomach. That planned failed almost immediately when a gray and roughly designed sheath came in between the two blades, blocking one and sending one harmlessly off course as Godzilla's momentum made his body continue in a circular movement, which just so happened to bring Reactor back away, the blade still continuing its slash.
This time, the sword managed to hit the parasitic Kaiju, but fortunately for Hokmuto, had been in two close for the blade itself to touch him and instead the maple leaf shaped guard hit him on the forehead. Despite it not being a killing blow, the strength behind it was incredible, easily enough to cave the skull of a normal human and enough to knock Hokmuto onto the ground as he gave a cry of pain. His punishment wasn't quite over just yet though as he quickly found the air in his lungs rushing out of him when Godzilla's shin was slammed into his stomach, and his body was knocked several yards away from the force. Godzilla's foot came down hard onto the ground as he put an abrupt stop to his momentum, his eyes landed on Hokmuto with a predatory gaze, his pupils already narrowing into reptilian silts before he shot off at Hokmuto, Reactor at the ready for a powerful swing aimed right for his head.
Godzilla was once more prevented from finishing off the other Kaiju by Ghidorah, who came out of nowhere suddenly and tackled him before he could get close enough to Hokmuto, slamming his dragon headed shoulder guard into Godzilla's chest, forcing the wind out of his lungs and sending him onto the ground. Godzilla grunted in mild pain as he landed hard against the floor but quickly recovered and rolled back onto his feet, narrowly avoiding a slash from Ghidorah's trident that cut deeply into the concrete where Godzilla had just been. As he rolled out of the way, Godzilla threw Reactor's sheath at Ghidorah, who blocked it with his trident, but stumbled back from the force. Noticing this, Godzilla quickly leaped at Ghidorah from where he was crouched once he stopped rolling, grabbing the sheath before it hit the ground as he swung Reactor, which was deflected when Ghidorah recovered and managed to block the attack with his trident.
Godzilla then took a step forward, forcing Ghidorah back as both of them spun around, swinging their weapons, causing sparks to fly off of them as Godzilla's sword and sheath were brought down only for them to be deflected by Ghidorah's trident. Ghidorah's teeth gritted in effort and frustration as he lost ground against Godzilla's onslaught, knocking away another attack from the sheath with his trident before angling his trident to redirect Reactor harmlessly away from him. Seeing an opportunity to counter attack and put Godzilla on the defensive now that both of his weapons were knocked away for the moment. He grabbed the shaft of his trident in both hands and thrusted it out at Godzilla, letting go with his left hand so it would have as much range as possible. He soon regretted his move to go on the offensive as when he thrusted his trident out, Godzilla ducked underneath the trident while moving around his opponent, sweeping Ghidorah's leg out from under him as Godzilla swung Reactor right at Ghidorah's eyes as he began to fall forward now that his overextended stance was no longer properly supported.
Ghidorah fell onto his knees, eyes going wide as the blade glowing with nuclear energy was just barely stopped an inch from his face with his free hand. Godzilla growled noticing that his attack had been blocked before he began to apply more force with Reactor, causing Ghidorah to hiss sharply in pain as the clawed, golden gauntlet that covered his left hand was both cut through and beginning to melt from the heat produced by Reactor. The hand that held Ghidorah's trident jerked back as its grip loosened, causing it to slide up to the point to the bases of the three pointed heads of the trident. Ghidorah then thrusted his weapon at Godzilla's side, but only hit open air when Godzilla jumped back. However, before Godzilla could get to safety, Hokmuto came out from nowhere, letting out a warcry before he slammed both of his hooked blades into Godzilla's arm holding Reactor.
Godzilla cried out in pain as he felt the hooks of the two blades dig into his arm, the pain causing his grip on Reactor to weaken. Almost in sync, Hokmuto pulled the two blades out of Godzilla's arm before jumping back as Ghidorah pulled Reactor toward him, causing Godzilla to stumble forward and lose his grip on Reactor and barely recovering in time to dodge another thrust from Ghidorah's trident that would've impaled him. Realizing the disadvantage he was at without Reactor and a currently badly wounded arm, Godzilla jumped back several yards, his teeth gritted in frustration and pain as blood continued to flow down his arm, despite his regeneration slowly closing the wounds.
The movement of air behind him alerted Godzilla that Hokmuto was right behind him and he ducked on instinct, barely dodging a slash from one of the hooked blades that would've taken Godzilla's head off. Hokmuto growled upon realizing that he surprise attack had failed, before raising the other one of his blades over his head and bringing it down, only for Godzilla to quickly jump to the side just in time to avoid the attack. Godzilla growled in anger and frustration as his feet touched the ground seeing the clear disadvantage he was at. With only Reactor's sheath as an improvised weapon, Godzilla couldn't see himself beating Ghidorah close quarters combat and he had no real reliable way to attack from a distance short of throwing stones at the other two Kaiju. Then there was also the whole fact that his fail safe in case his body could no longer handle his nuclear energy and he began a melt down was currently in the hands of one of his worst enemies.
Seeing his only real option was to keep on the defence until he could get Reactor back, Godzilla felt some of the nuclear energy his body usually kept in reserve began to flow throughout his body. His body suddenly enhanced by the flow of nuclear energy, Godzilla quickly jumped back again only disappearing from sight from the speed at which he moved. Hokmuto gave a fierce snarl at noticing Godzilla's increased speed before quickly giving chase, a burst of wind signalling the use of his own speed as he disappeared from sight.
Ghidorah snarled in anger at the recklessness of his ally. Chasing after Godzilla alone, even while he was in a vulnerable state, was rarely a good idea or gave any rewards for such a risk. He took a step to follow after the two, but he felt something unexpected rub against his hand that held Reactor and he stopped dead in his tracks. Ghidorah looked down at the sword that he still held onto in an almost shocked daze as he pulled it up to his face to inspect the weapon.
Ghidorah quickly noticed that the sword, despite having cut the hand that held it not even a few moments ago, was not all that sharp. In fact, it was almost blunt at most parts along the edge, which was uneven and slightly jagged. The analytical part of Ghidorah subconsciously deduced that meant that Godzilla either used sheer strength or took advantage of the raw heat that nuclear energy produced, or at least some combination of the two in order to allow the sword to actually cut.
The second thing Ghidorah saw was that it wasn't made of metal. Metal was cold and hard to the touch, the sword that Ghidorah held and could feel brushing against the skin of his palm was warm and smooth. It was rough rather than smooth like a normal sword would be, and it pulsed with energy just beneath the surface, almost as if it was alive. It wasn't made out of metal, there was no possible way metal could feel like this.
That didn't mean that it was some grand mystery about what the sword was made out of though, in fact, Ghidorah knew exactly what it was. It was a material that he had encountered many times before, and was something the been used against him more times than he could even begin to count. It was in many ways the bane to both him and other Kaiju alike for where it came from alone. There was only one thing that felt like this and Ghidorah was able to recall it in an instant. Reactor was made from a material that would normally be completely impossible to find anywhere on Remnant, or anywhere in the universe for that matter, because there was only one place for this material to be made: Earth.
Before Ghidorah was able to properly process the true nature of the sword he held in his hand, a flash of bright azure blue light caught him off guard. It also didn't help his focus when Godzilla's fist slammed straight into Ghidorah's stomach, knocking the air out of the Golden King's lungs and forcing him a step back. Ghidorah then felt his grip on Reactor disappear when the sword's sheath was slammed back down on it, covering it once more, and now that it was back in Godzilla's hands, Azure light began to shine out from underneath the charcoal gray sheath.
Before Ghidorah was even able to properly process what was going on, he was blown off of his feet when a Nuclear Pulse was emitted out of the sheathed sword. This Nuclear Pulse was much weaker than the one that had sent both Hokmuto and Ghidorah flying before, as such, The Golden King of Terror was only sent back nearly half a dozen yards before recovering midair and slamming his trident into the ground, bringing him to a stop as he landed in a crouched position. Ghidorah let out a heavy breath as he stood back up, fixing his blood red eyes on Godzilla as he flipped his trident around to have all three of the pointed heads be pointed at the Kaiju King. In response, Godzilla let out a growl as he flipped the sheathed sword around so he now held it by the handle.
Ghidorah quickly noticed that Hokmuto's chase had proven to be successful to some degree, as Godzilla was covered in numerous small scratches all over his body, though they were already beginning to close and disappear. A small burst of wind next to Ghidorah signaled the appearance of Hokmuto at his side, to which Ghidorah gave a quick glance at to see what condition the parasitic Kaiju was in. Hokmuto didn't have any visible wounds that Ghidorah could see was there, which was already better than what Ghidorah had been expecting seeing as Hokmuto had just went through a one on one fight with Godzilla, but Hokmuto kept a hand pressed to his upper right chest and his breathing was labored.
"So would you mind giving me an explanation as to why you left me hanging and practically gave Godzilla back his sword after we just took it away from him?" Hokmuto hissed at Ghidorah, his sunglasses making it impossible to tell whether he was looking at Ghidorah or Godzilla. A growl erupted out of the base of Ghidorah's throat, but even he wasn't sure if it was at Hokmuto for his tone or at himself, realizing his mistake. "...I made a mistake by putting my guard down when I discovered something about the sword I wasn't expecting." Ghidorah grumbled out after a second of silence, catching Hokmuto's attention as the parasitic Kaiju, "Must've been pretty shocking if it made you pull a beginners mistake like that." Ghidorah growled again, this time it is definitely clear that it was at his subordinate as he risked taking his eyes off of Godzilla to send a fierce glare down at Hokmuto, who flinched back at the angry red eyes, instantly regretting his manner of speech.
Despite it only being a second he had spent glaring at Hokmuto, Ghidorah found it had been a mistake taking Godzilla out of his line of sight, as when turned his head back to face the King of Monsters, his eyes barely had any time to widen in surprise before he was forced to block a thrown sheathed Reactor with his trident. Whatever Ghidorah had discovered was quickly forgotten about by both as they quickly remembered the nuclear pulse that had followed after the last time Godzilla had thrown his sword in its sheath. Hokmuto quickly leapt away, disappearing from sight, as he attempted to quickly get out of the range of the Nuclear Pulse while Ghidorah was forced to just brace for the attack, lacking the needed speed to avoid it.
However, instead of the blinding explosion of light that comes with a Nuclear Pulse, the azure light that Reactor had been producing rapidly began to dim as it simply bounced off of Ghidorah's trident. Ghidorah had been about to lower his guard very slightly in confusion at the lack luster attack only for Godzilla to appear in front of him, grabbing the hilt of his sword while it was still in midair. Upon coming back into contact with Godzilla, Reactor immediately lit back up in blue light as it was pulled out of its sheath as he brought it down in a powerful downward slash against Ghidorah's trident, causing sparks to fly as Godzilla pushed the golden Kaiju back a few feet.
Ghidorah grit his teeth in effort as he struggled to hold back the snarling Godzilla, who intensely glared at him through the azure blue light that was produced by the sword. With a grunt of effort, Ghidorah pushed Godzilla back, shifting his grip on the trident with one hand so that it was closer to the base of the trident while releasing it with the other hand before swinging the trident in front of him in a long arcing slash in the area in front of him. Godzilla jumped back just in time to avoid the three heads of the trident slashing across his upper chest, grabbing the still spinning sheath out of the air by its strap before spun around, swinging the sheath before it seemed to bounce off of thin air and come to a stop when Godzilla stopped.
The "thin air" that the sheath had slammed into turned out to be Hokmuto, who, upon realizing the lack of a bright explosion of light that would've signaled a Nuclear Pulse and noticing Godzilla distracted by being in a clash with Godzilla, had turned around to attack Godzilla from behind, only to be noticed by the King of Monsters and subsequently knocked onto the ground. The Azure light of Reactor would then momentarily glow brighter before Godzilla slashed it out towards Hokmuto as he landed, sending out a blue arc of nuclear energy traveling through the air.
Seeing the nuclear attack heading his way, Hokmuto quickly jumped out of the way at the last second to avoid the arc as it exploded upon the concrete ground where he had been not even a second before. While in the air, Hokmuto's jacket flapped open before he flew straight at Godzilla, pulling his twin hooked blades back in preparation for an attack. In the blink of an eye, the parasitic Kaiju was close enough to slash both of his blades out at Godzilla, but the King of the Monsters bent backward, the hooked blades narrowly passing over his face.
Putting the hand that held the sheath against the ground to help support his still leaning body, Godzilla quickly turned to his side to deliver a powerful kick to Hokmuto's side. Letting out a gasp of pain from the kick, Hokmuto felt the force carry him away, and due to his fairly light body weight and the angle of the kick, he suddenly found himself a dozen or so feet off of the ground. Seeing his chance to eliminate what was the weaker link between the two enemy Kaiju, Godzilla quickly crouched down from his kick, feeling another wave of nuclear energy quickly course through his body before he jumped off of the ground straight at Hokmuto. Hokmuto, who hadn't yet recovered from the kick and had yet to recollect his bearings now that he was within the air, felt his eyes widened from behind his sunglasses as he saw Godzilla leaping at him, Reactor brightly burning with azure nuclear flames as it was pulled back, prepared to finish him off.
However, Ghidorah wasn't about to just let his ally suddenly be finished off. With his twin capes flared out from his body, the Golden Kaiju collided with Godzilla in midair, knocking the air out of Godzilla as he felt himself quickly began to rise within the air as Ghidorah carried him higher up into the air. Quickly recovering from a golden armor bigger than him suddenly flying into him at speeds that could've kept up with Ruby at her fastest, Godzilla grit his teeth together before raising his sheath up above his head before slamming it down onto Ghidorah's back with enough force to shatter concrete. He wasn't a fool, he knew that Ghidorah was planning on taking him high enough point in the air where he could just drop Godzilla, and as he fell, he would be a borderline completely open target for his two flying enemies, having almost no way of free movement while in the air.
Feeling Godzilla slam his sheath into his back, Ghidorah let out a grunt of pain, but still managed to keep his grip on Godzilla as he continued to ascend, already they were about halfway between the ground and the highway overpasses above them. Growling out in frustration and seeing that Ghidorah was intent on holding on to him as long as he could, Godzilla flipped Reactor around into a reverse grip and raising the nuclear burning blade over his head before plunging it downward, intent on impaling Ghidorah all the way through.
Ghidorah on the other hand, had intentions different than that of Godzilla's, most namely NOT letting himself being impaled by the weapon of his worst enemy. Letting his grip on Godzilla go, Ghidorah slowed his ascension using his capes, causing Reactor to hit empty air as Godzilla continued to rise in altitude under the effects of his upward momentum. Now that he was safe from being run through by the nuclear sword, Ghidorah pulled his trident back before thrusting the golden weapon at Godzilla, who began to slow rapidly as gravity was beginning to take effect on him with Ghidorah no longer carrying him up. The three pointed head weapon was angled so that it slid right past Reactor, and nearly stabbed Godzilla in the abdomen.
The only thing that stopped the trident from doing just that was Godzilla swinging his sheath up and hitting the underside of it and deflecting the trident off to the side, away from him. Now with Ghidorah's weapon safely out of the equation for the time being, Godzilla would use the opportunity around Ghidorah and deliver a powerful kick to his rival's stomach. The force of the kick momentarily stunned Ghidorah as he pushed pack away from Godzilla, who was also being propelled away from Ghidorah by the kick under Newton's third law of motion. As the distance between the two grew, Godzilla pulled Reactor back before the blade lit up in azure blue light as Godzilla swung the sword at Ghidorah, causing an arcing wave of nuclear energy to be released from the sword and fly through the air toward Ghidorah.
Ghidorah, only having just recovered from the sudden kick to his stomach, wasn't able to avoid the attack of nuclear energy. As the azure blue energy slammed into him, Ghidorah gasped out from the force shoving all the air in his lungs out and the pure heat of the nuclear energy causing some of his golden armor to melt slightly and be disfigured. The arching blue wave would then carry Ghidorah along with it for a short amount of time before it exploded, causing Godzilla to lose sight of Ghidorah in the resulting cloud of smoke.
Of course, just because Godzilla was now rid of Ghidorah for the time being doesn't mean he should let guard down or take it easy while he was in the air. Afterall, there was another opponent Godzilla was facing that could fly while he could not. Speaking of which, right after Godzilla had lost sight of Ghidorah, his instincts began screaming at him to move, causing him to reangle himself around in the air to avoid whatever was coming. Because he did so, the sweeping attack Hokmuto had launched at him, merely resulting in a scratch on Godzilla's back that while deep enough that it drew blood, was overall very shallow and would disappear within the next couple of minutes as Godzilla's healing factor got to work on it.
Seeing how lackluster the result of his attack was, and not nearly as brutal or deadly as he had been going for, Hokmuto would flip around, his open jacket flying out from under his arms before the Kaiju dived back down at Godzilla, his two hooked blades prepared to slice Godzilla's stomach open. Godzilla grit his teeth together as the grips on both Reactor on its sheath tightened as he saw the other Kaiju coming back around for another attack. Closely watching the other Kaiju quickly closing the distance between the two of them in the air, Godzilla waited until Hokmuto swung both of his weapons at him before moving Reactor and the sheath forward to block incoming attacks. The moment he did so, however, Hokmuto would suddenly catch him off guard by stopping his attack midway before rolling around Godzilla to get behind him.
Since Godzilla had fallen for the feign, there was nothing he was able to do in time to stop Hokmuto from using the hooks on his blades to catch the base of the hood on Godzilla's jacket, causing Godzilla's fall to come to a dead stop. Then, using all of his strength, Hokmuto then quickly began rise higher up into the air, dragging Godzilla up along with him, who nearly choked on his jacket with the sudden change in speeds. Now, Hokmuto wasn't nearly as strong as Ghidorah was, or most other Kaiju for that matter, so their rise in altitude was much slower than when Ghidorah was doing it, and if they had been in their true Kaiju forms, the sheer weight difference between the two of them would've made it impossible for hokmuto to lift Godzilla even an inch off of the ground. However, now that they were humans, the weight difference wasn't anywhere close to a fraction of bad as it had been before, Hokmuto was able to lift Godzilla up off of the ground with a bit of hard work, and the idea of Godzilla being helpless in midair at his mercy an excellent motivator for him to do such work.
Godzilla on the other hand, didn't quite find that image appealing, and frankly, he was already sick and tired of being dragged up into the air by flying opponents. The azure blue glow of Reactor would suddenly intensify again before Godzilla, using the grip Hokmuto had on him to his advantage, swung his lower body forward to gain some momentum before pulling his upper body forward with enough force that the part of his hood that Hokmuto's blades were holding onto were torn apart. With the sudden loss of Godzilla's weight to slow him down, Hokmuto would suddenly rise up in the air faster than he had been expected, jerking up almost a dozen feet into the air before forcing himself to a hovering stop. After doing so, Hokmuto's grip on the hilt of his hooked blades would tighten in frustration at Godzilla already escaping from his grasp.
It didn't truly matter, however, Ghidorah had already brought Godzilla up into the air at least a hundred feet or so off of the ground. Add in the albeit small amount Hokmuto had added to his altitude, the King of the Monsters would be falling for some time. Enough time for Hokmuto to finish him off before he hit the ground. The only goal Hokmuto had was to make it last as long as he could, but he guessed beggars couldn't be choosers.
Before he could swoop down and began the series of attacks that would've brought an end to Godzilla at his hands, or at least in his head it would, Hokmuto wouldn't even begin to dive when Godzilla caught him off guard with an unexpected attack. Using both the atomic slash of energy he had prepared before and taking advantage of Newton's Third Law of Motion, Godzilla would let loose the powerful arcing wave of nuclear energy out behind him down toward the ground. The resulting reaction force of sending of launching his attack in such away would then allow Godzilla to briefly give the finger to gravity and pushed him upward enough to deliver a gravity defying dropkick straight to Hokmuto's stomach. The parasitic Kaiju didn't even have time to gasp out in pain from the kick before the force of it launched him away into the distance.
Godzilla, instead of having a moment of respite while he fell down to the ground like he had been hoping would happen after sending Hokmuto out of the fight, would then feel the hairs on the back of his head rise up before his instincts acted up telling him to move. Never one to deny his instincts in a fight, Godzilla twisted his body around in the air, narrowly avoiding a bolt of golden energy that shot through the air, flying straight past him. After it had flown out of sight, Godzilla quickly looked where it had come from, immediately seeing the snarling Ghidorah, hovering in the air, his twin capes spread out from his body and his trident pointed out at Godzilla, the heads still crackling with energy.
Annoyed with Godzilla managing to dodge the Gravity Beam even with his heavily limited mobility in the air, Ghidorah let out a low growl before energy quickly began cackling between the three heads of his trident once again before he fired off another Gravity Beam at Godzilla. After it was shot, Ghidorah's capes shifted slightly as he moved forward to Godzilla, lowering his trident and pulling it back in preparation for an attack once he was close enough. Godzilla, however, didn't notice Ghidorah beginning to fly towards him, being preoccupied with the incoming Gravity Beam and all. So when he managed to mostly dodge the attack once again, though this time it was close enough to burn away some of the fabric of his pants, he hadn't been prepared to block Ghidorah's trident when he had suddenly slashed it at him, earning him a cut on his lower stomach.
Luckily the cut wasn't that bad, Godzilla managing to react fast enough to stop it with the sheath of Reactor by stabbing it between the heads of the golden trident before it had gotten too bad. Ignoring the new stinging pain in his stomach area, Godzilla slashed Reactor out at Ghidorah's head in retaliation, but the Golden King would surprise his old rival by doing something he wasn't expecting. Letting go of his trident, Ghidorah would pull back away from Godzilla in the air, letting Reactor to uselessly swing through the space of air his neck had just been at. As the sword finished the arc of its swing and before Godzilla could process that he had dodged the nuclear blade's swing, Ghidorah quickly spun around in the air, nailing Godziila in the face with a powerful roundhouse kick.
Once the kick connected, Godzilla found himself losing control of his body's positioning in the air, as the force of the kick caused him to start spinning rapidly as he was pushed away from where Ghidorah was. As Godzilla was flying away, Ghidorah's trident was also thrown off to the side, with neither Godzilla or its owner holding it, allowing gravity to take effect on the weapon and begin pulling it toward the ground. With his twin capes twisting around slightly to better angle themselves, Ghidorah would briefly dive toward his weapon, and grabbing it out of midair before reorienting himself and continuing his dive toward Godzilla.
The King of the Monsters struggled to get control of his angular momentum as he fell towards the ground, spinning around randomly as he struggled to hold onto Reactor and it's sheath. As he did, Ghidorah began to make repeatedly dive at him before attacking with his trident in which Godzilla would earn numerous scratches from the attacks he wasn't able to block or deflect. It of course wouldn't get any easier for Godzilla when Hokmuto had made is return after a few seconds of falling. Even as strong as Godzilla was, the air was never his domain, and right now, he was fighting two fierce opponents who were as home flying in the air as they were laying down on the ground or he was swimming in the ocean. Even when it did appear that he had managed to get out of the situation by avoiding the attacks from the other two Kaiju long enough for him to nearly reach the ground, Ghidorah would appear to dash that hope by flying between him and the ground and pushing him right back up to where they had started in a spark filled clash between Reactor and the trident.
If he didn't do something drastic fast, then Godzilla really would be in some serious trouble. Luckily for him, he had just the drastic thing in mind. He just needed to last long enough to get it prepared.
Reactor ignited in azure blue light, causing Ghidorah and Hokmuto to keep their distance for a short amount of time so they could easily dodge any attack he had sent their way until they realized Godzilla had no intention of attacking them just yet. After the realization, both Hokmuto's and Ghidorah's attacks began to grow more intense and begin to come at a much faster rate, clearly in an attempt to stop Godzilla from doing whatever it was he was planning to do. Despite their best efforts, the God of Destruction and Incarnation of Nuclear Armageddon stayed fast in his defense, deflecting the most slashes from Hokmuto's hooked blades and driving off each thrust from Ghidiorah's trident using the sheath, only using Reactor if he absolutely had to, such as when Ghidorah and Hokmuto would come after him at the same time. Every so often, Godzilla would send off an arc of nuclear energy to dodge an attack he couldn't block, Ghidorah's Gravity Beams for example, but it would be noticeably week as Godzilla clearly would only putting just enough power into it to allow him movement in the air.
Even with those occasions, Godzilla wouldn't let out any truly powerful attacks, and the azure glow blue Reactor gave off would slowly begin to darken as time went on, something neither Ghidorah or Hokmuto missed. The whole situation actually made Godzilla think of it as a race of sorts. In order for Godzilla to win, he had to get his ultimate attack ready or for him to land on the ground, and in order for Ghidorah and Hokmuto to win, they needed to kill him before either one of those situations came to be.
Finally, after several minutes of falling and deflecting an onslaught of attacks from two different flying foes, it seemed Godzilla would finally get a lucky break in the fight.
Hokmuto had gone in for yet another dive to attack Godzilla, his two hooked blades pulled back for another set of dual slashes to cut away even more of Godzilla's flesh. Godzilla, during one of the rare moments of him being in complete control of his angular momentum, quickly noticed the parasitic Kaiju diving toward him, and would put the sheath in front of him protectively in response while putting Reactor behind him almost protectively. With his speed, Hokmuto closed the distance between him and Godzilla in seconds, and once he did, he immediately slashed the weapons out at Godzilla. The King of the Monster, waiting until the time was just right, would swing his sheath out in response to meet the attack head on.
The two blades would, for the most part, slide along the length of the sheath smoothly while sparks to fly as they did. However, just when the two blades were about to safely slide off, Godzilla would slightly reangle the sheath a small bit, causing the hook of one of the blades to get caught on the sheath. Hokmuto would come to a sudden stop dead in the air as he held on to the hilt of the hooked blade and Godzilla managed to hold tight enough onto the sheath, letting out a small grunt as he did. Godzilla, seeing the opportunity, would immediately pull the sheath back, dragging Hokmuto along with it,who had yet to really process that he had come to a stop in the first place so he wasn't able to let go of the hooked blade or unhook it from the sheath. Even after processing what had happened, he still wasn't able to avoid or block the incoming swing of Reactor before the blade, glowing a shade of blue so dark it was almost purple, cut deeply into his side.
Hokmuto let out a sharp gasp of pain and surprise as blood splashed out from the newly created wound with an incredible amount of pain exploding out through his body from the wound. Reactor would continue cutting into Hokmuto's side until the blade went straight through to the other side where it also cut through Hokmuto's jacket as it finished the slash. Despite the initial splash of blood, the wound was cauterized by the sheer heat produced by the nuclear energy flowing through Reactor, but that by no means made the experience any more bearable for Hokmuto, having to feel his skin be burned together after being cut open. Luckily for Hokmuto, he wouldn't have to focus on the pain of the burned cut in his side when Godzilla would slam the pommel of Reactor into the side of his head with enough force to not only crack his sunglasses, but to also send him carrenning down towards the ground as he could no longer hold onto the hooked blade that had been caught on the sheath, causing it to fall uselessly towards the ground behind him… did I say "luckily"?
Watching Hokmuto fall down and eventually impact the concrete ground, Godzilla let out a small snort of satisfaction at taking one of his enemies out of the fight for the time being, meaning he only had to keep his attention locked onto Ghidrah until he could hit the ground. Speaking of the three headed devil dragon, in response to the sudden loss of his subordinate Kaiju ally, Ghidorah would grit his teeth together in frustration as the grip on his trident would tighten. Turning around in the air, Ghidorah set off in another dive towards Godzilla with a firm grip on the shaft of his trident. With Hokmuto badly wounded and down for the count, Ghidorah knew this was probably going to be the last chance he had to finish Godzilla off while he still had the advantage in the air. If he didn't, Godzilla would probably be able to come back in contact with the ground and the battle would be heavily in favor for the King of the Monsters until the nanobots for Hokmuto were able to do there job and heal him. It was either that or Ghidorah was going to have to retreat from the fight, not willing to face Godzilla on his own for the time being.
Seeing his old rival coming, Godzilla would pull Reactor back and place his sheath forward in a defensive manner once again, keeping his flame orange eyes locked onto the golden form of Ghidorah as the distance between them rapidly disappeared, even as Godzilla fell. In response, Ghidorah pulled his trident back in preparation for a thrust to run Godzilla through. The two rivals locked eyes with each other once again, burning orange meaning blood red as they each animalistically snarled at each other and time seemingly beginning to slow down. Each of them knowing that this would probably be the deciding moment in the fight that would make it clear who would win.
Once Ghidorah was close enough and began thrusting his trident, Godzilla would swing the sheath out from him, aiming to lodge the charcoal grey sword holder in between two of the three heads of the trident and keep the weapon as far away from him as he could before hitting the ground. However, Ghidorah had a trick of his own sleeve as he continued thrusting his three headed lance forward. Twisting his grip on the trident, the three heads of the trident were suddenly reangled just perfectly that they would slide against, and past the swung sheath towards the now defenseless torso of Godzilla.
As if in slow motion, Godzilla's eyes widened as he watched his enemy's weapon slide past his defense, and watch as it slowly closed the gap between it and him. He tried to twist his body around in the air to dodge the attack and also tried to push the sheath up off of the shaft of the trident to throw it off, but his body acted too slow and the thrust would find its target. Godzilla let out a sharp his of pain as he felt the middle head of the trident puncturing through his skin and stab deeper into his body, causing a small burst of blood to fly out of the wound into the open air. Seeing his gamble had worked, Ghidorah would grin madly as he thrusted his trident further, wanting the other two heads of the trident to puncture into Godzilla and for all three to emerge out of the other side of the body, but that would only last a very short amount of time.
In a last bit gamble of his own, Godzilla would pull Reactor out from behind him, revealing to Ghidorah that the blade was no longer glowing blue, or even purple, but a dark scarlet color. Upon recognizing the color, Ghidorah's grin would disappear completely as his eyes widened in panic and recognition of the color meant. Acting quickly, Ghidorah would pull his trident out and away from Godzilla, causing another sprout of blood to come out of the fresh would, before Ghidorah slammed his foot into Godzilla's stomach, kicking Godzilla away from him. As he did this, his twin capes flapped out as Ghidorah used what little time he had left to put as much distance between him and Godzilla to give himself the best chance possible to avoid the coming attack.
In the same style of slow motion as Godzilla had experienced watching Ghidorah's trident stab into him, Ghidroah would watch Godzilla twist his grip on Reactor, causing a bolt of yellow energy to come out of the middle of the jagged maple leaf shaped guards of Reactor. The yellow bolt of energy would rise up the starting points along the length of the blade, crackling as it spiraled around the glowing scarlet blade before reaching the very tip of the blade and coming to a stop. As it did so, Godzilla would give one last snarl toward Ghidorah as he pulled Reactor back before thrusting it forward at his old rival, and it was only then did time move forward at a normal speed.
The earlier slashes of atomic energy Reactor had sent off had been nothing in comparison to Godzilla letting loose the power of the Red Spiral Ray. The resulting force of launching his ultimate attack would in turn launch Godzilla down towards the ground like a rocket without there being anything he could've anchored onto. Which unfortunately meant that the attack had missed Ghidorah since the kickback had completely ruined Godzilla's aim of the attack, but the powerful shockwave of the attack would slam into Ghidorah, causing him to completely lose control of his flight. The spiraling red and yellow beam would fly up into the air, briefly coming into contact with one of the taller overpasses before it burrowed without even slowing down, as through the concrete road structure it as if it wasn't even there as it shot up into space.
With the force of the Red Spiral Ray having launched him down toward the ground, and knowing he had absolutely no control over the landing, Godzilla would use the brief couple of seconds he had to prepare for the crash as best he could. He would quickly shove Reactor back into its sheath to ensure both would stay together if he lost his grip on them, After that, he would tense his body up and and grit his teeth together in preparation for the coming pain of slamming into a solid ground of solid concrete.
And slam into a solid ground of concrete he did. Godzilla's back crashed into the ground with enough force to smash the solid ground apart and create a full crater as debris was knocked out of the ground. He didn't come to a stop with that, however, as he still had enough momentum to bounce out of the crater like a skipping stone before hitting the ground once more, this time coming to a skidding stop. For a few seconds, it looked like Godzilla had been knocked out by the crash landing, as he laid face down against the concrete motionless, and indeed having lost his grip on Reactor, but luckily it had landed right next to him. Before long, however, Godzilla would begin to move once more as he laid his hands against the concrete and pushed off of the ground.
Godzilla gave a pain filled grunt as he got up off of the hard concrete ground, causing blood to drop out onto the floor from the wound in his chest where Ghidorah stabbed him. He grabbed the hilt of the nearby Reactor, which had impaled itself into the ground, to help him get back onto his feet. His breaths were hard and deep as he managed to stand back up on to his feet, leaning onto the sword for support for a few seconds before he gave another grunt and pulled the sheathed blade out of the ground. The trident must of managed to go between his ribs a puncture his lung for him to be struggling to breath this much. Godzilla stumbled a bit as he attempted to take a step forward, only for him to fall forward back down to the ground on all fours, his freehand going to cover the hole in his chest as he coughed up blood.
Godzilla let out a growl as he pushed himself back onto his knees, he needed to get back on his feet now, Ghidorah and Hokmuto weren't going to let him have a moment to catch his breath while his healing factor did its job. However, his eyes slowly began to widen as it slowly began to occur to him just where the placement of his hand was. He slowly looked down, almost afraid to confirm what he knew was true. His hand was covering a hole in both his jacket and chest alike in the left area of his chest, a small trail of blood was flowing out that was getting smaller with each second as the wound began to close. It was just above where his heart was, but also where something far more important to him once. Reactor clanged against the ground as Godzilla dropped it.
The sword, the pain, the battle with Ghidorah and Hokmuto, all of it was quickly forgotten about and was ignored as Godzilla hastily opened his jacket before sticking his hand inside it to the inner pocket and pulling out a piece of folded paper that now had a hole in it and most of it stained red from his blood. The world around Godzilla disappeared to him as he froze upon noticing the state of the precious photo that had held his family. He carefully and slowly began to open the photo, afraid to both completely see the damage of it and to further damage it by some random mistake. Once it was fully opened, Godzilla's breathing stopped as his eyes went wide and unsteady as emotions began to surge through his consciousness.
The hole had punctured straight through the previously smiling Juniors face and upper torso, only the top part of his son's eyes escaped from being torn through by Ghidorah's trident. The stains from Godzilla's blood, however, had permanently covered the remains of his son in a dark crimson tint, with the rest of them also having a similar situation. The elegant light blues and oranges of Mothra's eyes and clothing were wiped away by the blood red, Rodan's clothing had darkened significantly as details of his face were lost, and Anguirus was all but lost as the paper that made up the photo began to crumble due being drenched in the blood. The only one of the group of five that hadn't been completely covered by the slowly spreading dark red was Godzilla himself.
"It isn't like you to be so worried about an opponent like this, Godzilla. You beat Ghidorah, Xenilla, and everything else the world has continued to throw at you. The only difference with this guy is that you should have more drive to win against him." Anguirus' voice echoed throughout Godzilla's head as he locked onto the the faint form of his best friend, recalling his last words to him before they had headed off to face Destroyah. It was then that Godzilla's vision was violently replaced to when he had been pinned and trapped underfoot by Destroyah, above him the screaming Anguirus, suspended in the air by the pincer tail of the Demon Kaiju that was impaled into his stomach. Destroyah laughed as his claws slowly raked across the vulnerable flesh and his horn briefly flashing to produce the orange Beam Katana that cut into Anguirus before it disappeared. The blood of his best friend fell from the many open wounds onto the horrified Godzilla, who thrashed around with all his might, firing his Atomic Breath into Destroyah several times, but it failed to free him. He was helpless to do anything more than watch as Destroyah ripped Anguirus apart, and watch as his best friend, who had refused to stop fighting as he had been made helpless in the air, slowly begin to go limp as he felt his blood pour out of him and his energy sucked out of him through the tail that impaled him.
"I'm worried about you Godzilla… I'm afraid if things keep going the way they have been, you'll be alone again and you'll let your anger at the world be the only thing that keeps you going or that you'll die. Neither of which I can allow to happen to you." Mothra's soothing voice echoed when Godzilla was able to return to the present, and quickly locked onto her blood stained form as he remembered when he awoke on Infant Island after one of his worse encounters with Destroyah, guessing instantly the the Moth Goddess had probably brought him their to heal him. The conversation that followed after she had found him attempting to leave the island had been a bittersweet one, but it quickly gave way to one of the worst experiences in the entirety of Godzilla's life. The images of that night where Destroyah had tracked him down and attack the island replayed in his mind. The last one was where Godzilla was slowly passing out from the pain, the last thing he saw being the violently beaten and bruised form of Mothra, held by the thorax by Destroyah as she was forced to watch the island she lived on and the people that worshipped her go up in flames as she was unable to do anything to help her.
When Godzilla awoke later, he only found thing he found was the burnt ruins of the infant island with no sign of any living beings around him. He'll never forget the horror that filled him that day when he found the temple that held Mothra's sacred egg that would resurrect her stronger than ever when she died to only see a charred bunch of wood with the egg that would bring back his egg completely and utterly smash. Mothra wouldn't be coming back ever again after that day, just like Junior and just like Anguirus, and that realization hit him harder than any blow done by an enemy did.
A clang of metal behind him brought Godzilla back to the present at hand, before a distant voice that sounded vaguely like Ghidorah spoke, but he failed to hear the words as he locked onto the final member of his family in the photo. "The hell have you been doing Godzilla?! This bastard killed Junior, Angurirus, and Mothra, and you haven't killed him yet!?" Rodan's angry yells drowned out the sound of anything else to Godzilla, the massive pterosaur had been every bit as angered as Godzilla had been by the deaths of their family, and he made it quite clear as he announced his presence during one of Godzilla's and Destroyah's fights, before crashing into the Demon Kaiju that had pinned Godzilla at the time. The following battle had been one of the closest Godzilla had ever had with Destroyah, Rodan's speed and agility in the air along with his affinity with heat made him an excellent combatant against Destroyah, but it wasn't meant to last. The sight of Rodan flying into the clouds above the ocean in an attempt to lose the pursuing Destroyah that closely flew behind him as Godzilla attempted to keep up to both of them by swimming through the sea played out before him. Several seconds later, Godzilla could hear Rodan's terrible pain filled scream coming from above the clouds before he could see Rodan's body fall out of the sky, his wings replaced with large bloodied gashes along his sides from where the appendages were ripped out from.
Godzilla's saurian eyes widened upon the realization of what the speck was as it fell toward the deep blue waters. He quickly sped up, swimming as fast as he could through the waters in some vein hope that he could save the last remaining member of his family. It was too late though, Rodan's body hit the waters hard, and he might of already been dead before then, even if he caught him in time. Even while Godzilla dived under the water to search for the body, he could hear him above the clouds laughing. Laughing as Godzilla tried so desperately to save the last part of the family that had been so violently taken away from him by the demon.
Distant rumbles behind him that sounded vaguely like Ghidorah failed to bring him back to the present this time as he fell deeper and deeper into the pit of nightmares that was his memories. The deaths of the other Kaiju that he had been allies with also began to play out before him, King Caesar's eyes being ripped out so Destroyah could play with their energy reflecting properties before he got bored with it and decided to tear off Caesar's ears, making it to where the elder guardian Kaiju had to fight him blind and deaf. Manda's eyes going wide as Destroyah shoved his hand down her throat against her will in some sick attempt to see if he could turn her inside out, only for her to be torn apart in the process of it. Titanosaurus screaming as Destroyah's claws dug into his gills after breaking each of the limbs of the Aquatic Dinosaur and kicking him into the ocean, where he could no longer breath and the thousands of microscopic organisms that Destroyah had left within the damaged gills began to slowly eat away at him as he began to drown in the very waters he called home. More deaths came and went before the eyes of Godzilla, and while none of them hurt quite as badly as the original four, each one served only to increase his pain and suffering dramatically. Reactor's blue glow began to dull in response to its master's despair as Godzilla was left inside a vicious cycle, as normally he would just look at the photograph of his family to bring him back to normal, but now it was that very photo that forced him see the deaths of his family and allies again and again, each time he was either pinned down, too far away, or just too weak to save them.
So trapped in his ever repeating nightmare, when a familiar golden trident was stabbed straight into his back, Godzilla didn't even notice it, much less move from it or give any kind of sound of pain. This lack of a response causes Ghidorah to let out a fierce growl of frustration before he raised his foot up high and gave a hard kick to the back of Godzilla's head, something that also failed to earn a response from the statue like King of the Monsters causing his frustration to grow. "Why wasn't he responding to anything?!" was the thought that angrily repeated itself within Ghidorah. If there was one thing Ghidorah couldn't stand, it was being ignored by an enemy, even if it would allow him an easy victory, it was one sign of disrespect that he, with all his pride, wouldn't tolerate. "Ghidorah!" Hokmuto's voice called out from behind, momentarily distracting Ghidorah from his frustrations.
Ghidorah looked away from the currently statue like Godzilla, looking in the direction that Hokmuto's voice had called out from, to see the flying Kaiju approaching them rapidly, his hand on his left side where he had been by slashed at by Godzilla, leaving a deeply cut cauterized cut wound. Ghidorah cut see that the nanobots were still doing their job, as he could see that the black, burned flesh was very, very beginning to be replaced by healthy, undamaged skin. However, it was clearly beginning to slow as time went on, it was a small change, but it probably meant that the nanobots that had been doing their job well throughout the fight so far were beginning to give out. Ghidorah growled under his breath, just another thing that was going to be added that could potentially go wrong this night. "What the hell is with him?" Hokmuto asked as he noticed the the statue like state of Godzilla, bringing Ghidorah back to reality. "I don't know, but he isn't responding to anything I do, even stabbing him in the spine." Ghidorah responded, not bothering to hide the growl of irritation that came out along with the answer at seemingly being ignored.
"So we won, let's kill him before he recovers from whatever's going on with him and leave then." Hokmuto questioned as he walked past Ghidorah before the other Kaiju could respond, both hands gripping the handle of his two hooked blades, having recovered the lost one before making his way there, as the wound on his side was healed enough for him not to worry about it. He stopped right behind Godzilla before he raised one of his blades over his head, prepared to slam it back down and split open Godzilla's skull, but was suddenly stopped when the hook of his blade was caught on something. When he angrily turned to see what had stopped him from killing Godzilla, shock filled him to see it was Ghidorah's golden trident. "Believe me, nothing would make me happier than to kill him where he kneels." Ghidorah's voice rang out with an undertone of warning that caught Hokmuto's attention and caused him to follow the staff of the trident and see the glaring blood red eyes of Ghidorah glaring down at him, "But right now, he's the only thing we can use right now to find the other Kaiju he's allied himself with and he's in a state where he can easily be captured. Besides, I'm sure Destroyah would love to have a chance to say 'hi' to him, and very angry with us if we killed him before he could.".
Hokmuto snarled before opening his mouth to say something in retort, but something out of the corner of his eye caught his attention, and what he was going to say died on his breath. Hokmuto turned around, pushing his arm up a bit so that his hooked blade disconnected from the trident before it fell back down to his side as he walked around Godzilla, seeing that the King of the Monsters was currently holding a bloody piece of paper in front of his face with was contorted in a look of horror. As he leaned over to inspect it, it also caught Ghidorah's attention as he moved to do the same, looking closely at the photo. Even despite the condition of the photo, both of them quickly recognized Godzilla in the center of the blood picture. Hokmuto narrowed his eyes at it as he attempted to identify the other four, which was made difficult, not only because the blood utterly ruined many of the details, but also because he had never seen them before. Ghidorah, on the other hand, quickly realized exactly who was in the photo.
"Who are they?" Hokmuto asked as he still attempted to figure out their identities on his own to very little success, but all he knew was that from the way that Godzilla was reacting to how it was damaged, whoever they were, they were important to him. "His family, I guess you could say." Ghidorah answered with narrowed eyes as he identified each of them with ease despite the condition the photo, his answer causing Hokmuto to snap a questioning glare at him that demanded answers, to which Ghidorah rolled his eyes, "Yes, his family. It was years after he and you had first 'met', but he did have one. It didn't last for too long though, thanks to Destroyah.". Hokmuto didn't hear the last part, he had lost focus on almost everything after he had heard of Godzilla's family, and something dark began to rise up and brew with him. Acting without thinking and before Ghidorah could stop him, Hokmuto reached out grabbed the bloodstained photo of Godzilla's family before he attempted to steal it out of the grasp, his mind flashing back to the first time he had fought Godzilla so many years ago and what the King of the Monsters had taken from him. However, the photo being as wet as it was in blood made it incredibly fragile, making the slight tug that Hokmuto did immediately tear it apart. And while Hokmuto to didn't have any particular remorse for the destruction of the photo, the reaction he got from Godzilla was borderline instant, and not one that he had been expecting.
Upon the photo being ripped up in his hand, Godzilla's eyes widened in a mix of horror and despair just as intense as the one that had came when he realized the photo had been so damaged in the first place. Now, however, without the photo, all of the built up emotions of despair he had been repeatedly feeling as his memories of those held deaf to him were killed one by one played before him were left free. Rapidly, they began to diminish as they began to be absorbed into yet another growing emotion that intensified as it took in all the others to be the sole thought in all of Godzilla's consciousness. It took no time at all for Godzilla's vision to disappear in a red haze as the one emotion Godzilla had known his entire life came to him in full force: rage. Ghidorah and Hokmuto, on the other hand, saw a completely different color spread and utterly dominate their visions, albeit for a much different reason, as azure blue light exploded out of both Godzilla and Reactor at an intensity so great, both of the other Kaiju were forced to cover their eyes and take a step back in surprise.
Godzilla gave what could only be described as a roar as he shot up from his crouched position, nuclear energy coming out of him like blue fire as he slammed his fist into Hokmuto with an extreme amount of force, causing him to cough up blood before he was sent flying off. Hokmuto's eyes went wide from behind the cracked sunglasses from both shock and pain as he and his body began to process what had just happened. Pain surged throughout his entire body, feeling as if his stomach had caved in from the force, and he could've sworn several of his wounds were cracked, if not broken off all together. Ghidorah jumped back in surprise at the sudden attack and burst of nuclear energy before another roar of anger came from Godzilla as he quickly grabbed Reactor and shot off of the ground with a powerful jump. "RAAA!" Godzilla roared again once the force of his jump had put him right next to the still stunned Hokmuto, and with the still sheathed nuclear sword in hand, he slammed it right into Hokmuto's back.
Hokmuto led out a loud and pain filled scream as his body bent around the sheathed sword, a loud and disturbing cracking sound echoing throughout the air to the point that even Ghidorah could hear it over Hokmuto's screams despite the distance. The force of the blow which had almost certainly broken Hokmuto's spine also sent the Kaiju flying back toward the ground. He landed hard into the concrete ground, a crater forming around the initial point of impact before Hokmuto's body bounced out of it before skidding to a stop, the Kaiju's body going limp and broken.
Shock filled Ghidorah as to what just happened, events escalating too fast for him to properly register that they were even happening, and suddenly found his eyes landing on the broken form of Hokmuto. "RAAAA!" Godzilla's roar broke Ghidorah out of stupor of what was happening, and he snapped his head in the direction of where the roar had come from to see King of the Monsters landing after his jump quite a distance away, nuclear energy still flowing out of him in an almost blinding blue glow landing. Godzilla gave another rage filled beast like roar before he shot off towards Hokmuto's still body, the concrete beneath him breaking beneath him from the force he charged. Ghidorah swore as he quickly figured out what was about to happen, his trident gave a crackle of golden energy as Ghidorah shot it upwards, pointed at a desperate and rough estimate as to where his target was going to be. He fired the Gravity Beam off, putting as much power behind the lightning like attack as time would allow him too.
Fortunately for Hokmuto, Ghidorah's aim had been true. The Gravity Beam had hit the unprepared Godzilla's side, the force behind it being enough to knock him off of his feet and come to a rolling stop on the floor. Unfortunately for Ghidorah, that had meant that when Godzilla got back up from the floor, his mind in a state of constant and perpetual rage, he now only had one target to direct that rage at, that being the golden idiot who just knocked him onto the ground.
Godzilla roared again, this one being more animalistic than before as he slammed his foot against the ground, breaking the concrete and creating a small crater around him from the force that he used to propel him at Ghidorah. The Golden King of Terror felt his widen in shock at how fast the rival King of Monsters shrugged off a direct hit from his Gravity Beam, but he quickly managed to crush it and return his attention to the fight. He jumped backwards, only just barely avoiding a powerful slash from Reactor that probably would've cut him in half had he stayed where was even a second longer. He still wasn't out of the clear just yet though, because before Ghidorah's feet could even touch the ground, Godzilla shot out at him again, slashing Reactor once more. The two capes of Ghidorah flared out as flew back a few feet to be just out of harm's way from the nuclear sword, but he was caught off guard when the power of the swing created a strong gust of wind that his "wings" caught.
Ghidorah felt panic rise up within him when he quickly lost control of his flight as the wind threw him back against his will, but managed to quickly gain control again and made a quick landing, slamming his trident in the ground to bring him to a faster stop. Dread sent a chill down Ghidorah's spine as he realized something: flying was no longer an option he could use. If he got caught in another blast of wind from his one of Godzilla's attacks like that again, than that would allow him to be an open target for what would very likely be a finishing blow. Godzilla gave another animalistic roar from where he was, breaking Ghidorah out of his thoughts just as the ground beneath him was shattered once more with another before jump that shot him straight at Ghidorah. Ghidorah's eyes widened as he realized he was moving a lot faster, enough to where Ghidorah knew he wasn't going to move out of the way in time. On instinct, Ghidorah grabbed the shaft of his trident with both hands before pushing it out in front, just in time to block the still sheathed Reactor.
During the clash between the Kaiju Kings' weapons, Ghidorah noticed a few things. The first was that there was apparently some changes in size between Godzilla and his sword, though Ghidorah could've just been seeing things through the thick azure haze of nuclear energy as Reactor, even with its sheath, seemed smaller than it had been before. Godzilla, on the other hand, seemed to have grown, as he now stood completely even with Ghidorah in height, if not just a few inches taller than him now, which allowed him to easily glare down at him, the orbs of fire that were Godzilla's eyes burning with hate and rage being the only things that was clearly seen through the only slightly less intense nuclear fog. The second thing Ghidorah noticed was that how he almost immediately regretted blocking the attack as a tremendous amount of force slammed against his trident. Both due to the surprise of the strength of the attack and of course the strength itself, Ghidorah soon found his trident slamming against his chest as he was flung backward to land hard onto his back.
Ghidorah groaned in pain as he quickly got off of the ground and back onto his feet just before his instincts screamed at him to move from where he was as a flash of azure blue appeared out of the corner of Ghidorah's eye. The Golden King of Terror quickly jumped to the side as Godzilla slammed his nuclear powered fists at where he had just been, and even without Ghidorah's capes open, the resulting shockwave blew Ghidorah back several yards and made him feel like he had just taken a punch from Godzilla before he had entered this strange beast like state of mind.
Ghidorah landed hard onto his side, a groan of pain coming out of him without his permission as he struggled back onto his feet, only for Godzilla's foot to slam into his stomach before he could fully recover. Ghidorah's felt his body go weightless as he was thrown into the air against his will. Had he continued going along with the force of the blow, he would've at all likelihood been sent back on top of the highway, but he managed to come to a stop in the air when his twin capes flared out like wings once more. The Golden Kaiju wiped his arm over his mouth as he ignored his body's protests at being hit like that, instead focusing on the form of Godzilla where the blue haze of nuclear energy began to thicken and intensify to the point where it was becoming difficult to see anything more than the outline of his body and sword.
The outline of the King of the Monsters would crouch down before jumping into the air to chase after the flying Ghidorah, shattering the ground around him with the force of his jump. Ghidorah, recovered from the kick, managed to fly out of the way just in time to barely avoid crashing into him. With the lack of a flying golden armored body to stop him, Godzilla's powerful jump carried him straight up into one of the overpass roads above them that had somehow stayed standing despite everything that had happened in the area. Powerful winds followed after Godzilla from the force of the jump, winds that Ghidorah got caught up in, throwing him around as he fought against the updraft to avoid being caught up in it.
At some point, Ghidorah had completely lost his sense of direction, causing him to completely lose control of his flight and for him to crash back down to earth with enough force for him to break through some of the concrete and make a small trench. Groaning slightly at such a hard landing, Ghidorah shook his head as he quickly tried to get his bearings back in order and to recognize what was up from down as he pushed himself out of the rubble created by his landing. Luckily for him, he hadn't been hurt from the crash, the worst he would suffer wa a few minor bruises that would be completely gone without a trace within the week.
What wasn't so lucky for Ghidorah was that Godzilla had a front row seat to his crash and was quick to capitalize on the opening from his old rival. Jumping down from the underside of the overpass he had latched onto, with enough force to completely shatter it, causing even more concrete debris to fall from the sky, Godzilla landed right in front of Ghidorah. This time for the Golden King, there would be no time to react or place his trident in front of him to block whatever attack was about to come from him.
At first, Ghidroah didn't feel anything. He had simply blinked and the bright azure haze of nuclear energy that now shrouded Godzilla was suddenly in front of him. Then he blinked again, and he was suddenly yards away in the air before he could even process the earlier piece of information. It was only then that he lost track of everything else, the pain of the truly titanic punch that Godzilla had slammed into his stomach that sent him flying finally processing.
The pain was so great that he was unable to feel or even see anything else but the explosion of pain in the core of his body. He couldn't feel the feeling of gravity returning to him as he began to fall back down to the ground. He couldn't feel the harsh feeling of his body skidding across the concrete ground and coming to a rolling stop. It was only after several seconds of laying on the ground did feeling completely return to him, and once it did, Ghidorah immediately wished it hadn't.
Pain wracked his body to a degree Ghidorah had almost never felt before in his eons long life as he struggled to get back up, remembering that each second he was down was just another second for Godzilla to end him at his leisure. He didn't get too far though, only making it onto all fours before he suddenly began to cough blood onto the ground, forcing to stop his attempt at getting back up onto all fours again. Once he finally did stop coughing a pool of his own blood underneath him, Ghidorah heard a sound from the direction that Godzilla was, causing him to snap his head back in that direction on instinct, only just barely able to put down and ignore the resulting wave of pain that had come from that action.
Godzilla hadn't move from his position where he punched Ghidorah away, the sound he heard was merely him moving his foot back from the stance of said punch. Now there truly was no mistaking it, even as blurred in a cloud of nuclear energy as he was and from the distance that Ghidorah was at, Godzilla was bigger than he was at the beginning of the fight. He was enormous now, easily over eight foot tall and closely approaching ten feet, dwarfing even Ghidorah in size.
The change in Reactor was just as striking as the sudden growth of its master. It was barely even half the length it should've been, barely making it a short sword and more like a long dagger that looked more like a kitchen knife in the hands of Godzilla. The sword was now so short that Ghidorah was beginning to have difficulty making out its form through the haze of nuclear energy from where he was as he stared at it. He stared at the sword specifically, rather than staring at the suddenly enlarged Godzilla, Ghidorah stared at Reactor because it was at that moment something clicked in his head and he remembered his earlier discovery about the sword.
Reactor wasn't made of any kind of metal. It also wasn't made of some ultra strong experimental material that was artificially made somehow. What Reactor was made of a unique material that had been the bane of Human, Alien, and Kaiju alike as it had been the material to stop some of the most powerful attacks in the known universe without taking a scratch to protect the source of said material. That source was Godzilla. Reactor wasn't made out of metal, it was made out of one of Godzilla's scales that was broken off just before going through the Dimension Tide and going to Remnant, remaining unchanged before being come across somehow by its true owner.
With this information, Ghidorah knew that whatever was going on with Godzilla, Reactor was somehow behind it. He didn't know how the sword was causing Godzilla to grow larger, and he didn't know why it was shrinking as a result. All he knew was that Reactor was behind it and he didn't have the time or power to stop whatever was happening even if he did know.
Godzilla taking a step forward snapped Ghidorah out of his thought process. Whatever had made Godzilla pause in finishing him off was starting to wear off as the King of the Monsters took another step two seconds later. Ghidorah on the other hand, was still on all fours with his coughed up blood on his hands. It was then at that moment Ghidorah came to another realization.
He didn't have his trident with him, having lost his grip on it when Godzilla had punched him earlier, and he hadn't even realize it. Upon having this realization, Ghidorah would momentarily take his eyes off of the slowly approaching Godzilla to try finding where his weapon had gone too. When he did find it, Ghidorah was discouraged to realize that his trident had slid away quite a distance away from him, at least half a dozen yards away and nowhere near close enough for him to get it in time for him to defend himself against Godzilla at the rate the King of the Monsters was beginning to accelerate.
Swearing under his breath, Ghidorah grit his teeth as he pushed himself off of the ground and onto his feet, ignoring the sudden surges of pain that came with that action. Placing a hand over the place where Godzilla had punched him earlier, which had been hard enough to create a large hole in his golden armor, Ghidorah turned and faced Godzilla, who had begun to flat out run towards him just a bit faster than what a human should've been capable of. Without his trident and due to the earlier punch that had sent him flying, Ghidorah knew he had absolutely no chance against Godzilla in a head to head fight. Luckily, Ghidorah had one idea that would allow him to survive, but he only had one chance to make it work, otherwise, he was more than likely going to die in the next couple of minutes.
Ghidorah sucked in a breath as he leaned forward, ignoring the pain that was coming from his body, focusing solely on the rapidly approaching Godzilla, closely watching each movement he made as much as he could through the thick nuclear haze. As the Incarnation of Nuclear Armageddon got closer, hardly more than a dozen feet by now, with that distance rapidly closing faster and faster, Ghidorah noticed something about his movements. Even as he accelerated, Godzilla's movement seemed somewhat lumbered and clumsy, and Ghidorah had a pretty good idea as to why they were.
Whatever had caused Godzilla's change in size clearly hadn't dealt with the resulting pain of having to grow new muscles and snap and tear older ones apart that such a transformation would've brought about. Right now, every single part of Godzilla's body must feel like it had just gone through one of the most brutal and longest exercise regimes that he had ever gone through, with the resulting pain and exhaustion making him much slower and clumsier than he should've been. Though his healing factor would surely make such pain a very temporary thing and his stores of nuclear energy within his body would make it to where he wouldn't be very tired for long, the fact that whatever transformation he was going under was likely still ongoing meant neither had very much time to do their jobs. As such, the only reason Godzilla was even able to stand, let alone charge at Ghidorah with growing speed, was simply due to his legendary unstoppable will to fight.
However, Ghidorah wasn't interested in the why of the matter, the only thing he was interested in was just the fact that since Godzilla's movements were slowed down meant that his plan had a higher chance of working.
Letting out a sigh, Ghidorah momentarily swallowed down his pain to focus on moving when the time was right and hoping for the best. Adrenaline was coursing through Ghidorah's veins, and his heart was pounding almost as loudly as the stomping footfalls of Godzilla that were strong enough to break the concrete he stepped on. Time seeming to slow down as Ghidorah forced himself to wait until just the right moment to move and to spring his trap.
Ghidorah felt the world around him disappear as he focused only on the rapidly charging giant heading straight for him. He ignored his trident and the, what looked to be unconscious, body of Hokmuto off in the distance. He even ignored his own bodies protests at him merely standing up, let alone what he was planning on doing. What he didn't ignore was being completely focused on each movement Godzilla made as he approached his oldest rival with an untold fury.
Through the thick mist of nuclear energy, could see Godzilla pulling the arm that held the now shrunken Reactor back when he was about six or seven feet. Seeing it, Ghidorah's body screamed at him to move out of the way, but he suppressed the urge to move out of the way at at that moment, knowing that it wasn't the right time to do so. What felt like an eternity later, which in reality hadn't even been a second, when Godzilla was only about three feet away, it was then that Godzilla swung his shortened blade. It was then that Ghidorah had made his move.
Using his rival's sudden increased size to his advantage, Ghidorah quickly darted forward, his body leaning as he ducked under Godzilla's swing, which managed to make a large cut into one of his capes, though Ghidorah didn't know how exactly he knew that, he just did. After dodging a blow that surely would've killed him, even with the sword's shrunken size, Ghidorah rolled onto the ground and under Godzilla's arm, slamming his hand onto the ground as he did. Godzilla, seeing that Ghidorah had managed to get behind him forced himself to come to a complete and sudden stop, not noticing the golden ring that was suddenly beginning to rise up around the pair of Kaiju as he did. Quickly but sluggishly, Godzilla turned around towards Ghidorah, shooting his free hand out to grab him, still too focused on Ghidorah to noticed the golden dome that was materializing around him.
His instincts screaming at him to move, Ghidorah quickly shot forward off of the ground as fast as he could towards a momentary opening in the dome's walls, moving just in time to get out of Godzilla's reach as he attempted to grab him. Godzilla let out a deep growl before lunging after Ghidorah as the dome around him had materialize enough to full encompass his height with openings in it rapidly beginning to close and disappear. Knowing full well what would happen if he did not move fast enough to avoid what was about to come, Ghidorah put everything he had into one final burst of speed towards the opening in his domethat was now only just wide enough for him to jump through. Ghidorah let out a loud cry of effort before jumping out of the opening in the dome, which rapidly closed around him as he only just barely made it completely through before it became too small to jump through. Sliding onto the concrete ground outside of the dome, Ghidorah quickly rolled onto his back just in time to see on final sight of Godzilla reaching out to grab him just before he disappeared from sight as the opening closed completely, leaving only the golden light of the dome to be the only thing in sight.
Ghidorah began to breath heavily, wincing as the earlier pain came back to him full force now that he had nothing else to focus on than it. Granted it was nowhere near as bad as it had been earlier, which could also be said for most of his other wounds and injuries. Now that Ghidorah had Godzilla captured within the golden gome, he finally had a moment to breathe and recover from everything that had just happened, but, more importantly, the effects of the golden dome were beginning to kick in.
Whenever a creature was captured or went near one of Ghidorah's domes, the dome would quickly drain that creature of its life force and would give it to Ghidorah. As a result, Ghidorah would be feel replenished, and depending on how strong the life force of the captured victim had, Ghidorah's healing would accelerate as well, giving him a temporary minor healing factory as long as the dome remained up and had a living thing trapped within. With this dome holding Godzilla, a creature whose life force was second to none, most of Ghidorah's wounds were quickly beginning to heal and fade away, only his most grievous wounds, such as the cut in his side from Xenilla's spear and the massive bruise from Godzilla punching him in the gut, remained.
However, Ghidorah had never attempted to use the domes before to capture something as strong as Godzilla, and frankly, it was nothing short of a miracle for him that it had even work. He knew that the dome wouldn't kill Godzilla by draining him of all of his life force, the King of Monsters basically having equal amount of life force as he did nuclear energy and there didn't seem to be an end to his nuclear energy from what Ghidorah had just seen. What he didn't know was how long that the dome would last, as while they were indestructible from the outside, on the inside though, the durability had never truly been tested, most creatures being paralyzed or killed too fast for such a test to truly ever actually work.
With such thoughts in mind, Ghidorah pushed himself off of the ground after waiting just long enough for his body to heal enough to no longer protest such actions, though his . He wasn't healed enough for him to run as fast as he really wanted to, but at least he was able to run in the first place now. Even if he had Godzilla captured with the dome, Xenilla, Kiryu, or even that other Kaiju that Hokmuto had fought earlier could come back at any second, so getting his trident was his first priority. Even though his trident didn't have any more special attributes to it other than simply allowing him a conduit to fire his gravity beams from in this form, unlike Reactor, Ghidorah felt much better at feeling the familiar weight of the weapon in his armoured hands once again.
After reobtaining his weapon, Ghidorah would immediately set out towards finally checking on Hokmuto, his ally having stayed right where he was after receiving the devastating blow from Godzilla to his spine. Had he been anything other than a Kaiju, Hokmuto certainly would've died, and even then, as Ghidorah approached his still broken form, there was no sign that he was still alive, lying still and silent as a corpse with his clothes torn and dirty from the impact into the ground, the sunglasses that hid his eyes somehow staying together, though they had some serious cracks on the lens. As the Golden King crouched over Hokmuto's form, looking for any signs that the parasitic Kaiju was indeed still alive, not finding any for a few seconds.
Just when Ghidorah was about to give up and call Hokmuto dead, his enhanced sense of hearing heard a quiet breath of air, the volume of it being little more than air blowing through his mouth. Upon hearing the sign of life, Ghidorah stayed where he was before taking off one of his clawed gauntlets before pressing his unarmored hand on Hokmuto's neck, only just barely feeling the light pulse that Hokmuto still had. Pulling his hand back and putting his gauntlet back on, Ghidorah briefly began to muse over what exactly happened and how his subordinate was still alive.
Being a Kaiju, Hokmuto was much more durable than a human or faunas was, especially since he lacked an aura, his EMP ability as a Kaiju effecting him just as much as it did others. However, as Kaiju went, Hokmuto still was fairly weak overall, and based on the crack he heard when Godzilla had struck him in the back and having felt just how strong Godzilla was for the time being, there was little doubt in Ghidorah's mind that Hokmuto's spine had been completely shattered. That meant under normal circumstances, Hokmuto surely would've died from that blow, but Ghidorah knew that it wasn't normal circumstances, having personally introduced an extra factor himself.
While he didn't exactly know the exact science behind them, Ghidorah knew that the nanobots that Gigan had given him and that he had injected into Hokmuto must've been the reason that his subordinate was currently still alive. His current guess being that they had carried out the role of the spine while they also repaired as much damage to it as they could, ensuring they stayed alive, but Ghidorah honestly doubted that they were able to completely heal Hokmuto's spine in its entirety. The issue being simply due to the power that the nanobots had available to them.
Ghidorah didn't know how long they were able to last under ideal circumstances, his guess being maybe a day at most, but these were far from ideal circumstances. From the moment the nanobots had been injected into Hokmuto, they immediately had to heal a broken leg, burns that he had gotten from his fight with Zilla, all the wounds he had received over the course with the fight with Godzilla, and now add in what Ghidorah could only assume to be a completely shattered spine. On top of all of that, Hokmuto's immunity systems and the EMPs his body produces constantly. Frankly, it was an outright miracle that they had lasted as long as they did, which hadn't been much longer than an hour.
Having confirmed that Hokmuto was still alive, Ghidorah shook the unconscious Kaiju to wake him and see if he was capable of moving on his own, wanting to avoid carrying him if he could as it would definitely slow him down. At the contact, Hokmuto would let out a low groan of pain as his still definitely sore body was being pushed against by Ghidorah. Slowly, Hokmuto seemed to stir awake, a hand going up to press against his forehead and massaging it.
"...Ghidorah? What's going on?" Hokmuto said slowly, confused as to where he was and why he was suddenly waking up on the hard concrete ground with his body absolutely wracked in pain, something that wasn't being helped by Ghidorah shaking him awake. Quickly though, the memories of where he was and what had happened over the night came back to him, making his confusion disappear and him to come back at full alert. Ignoring the surge of pain as much as he could, Hokmuto would attempt to get up into a sitting position, but could only make it into an alert lying position with his upper half slightly off the ground supported by his forearms. Of course, there was only one thing on the parasitic Kaiju's mind, one that completely overshadowed whatever pain he was in, "Where's Godzilla?" he asked quickly.
Ghidorah looked down at his subordinate with an unreadable expression as Hokmuto propped himself up, thinking about how best to word his next sentence before speaking after a second, "After his little… scene with the photograph, Godzilla completely snapped, and after taking you out, he began to change. I have a guess as to what's happening, but no idea how or why.".Ghidorah pulled slightly back, watching as Hokmuto would continue to struggle to pick himself further off of the ground before jerking his head off to the side in the direction of where the Golden Dome that held Godzilla was, which prompted Hokmuto to look over at it and see as Ghidorah spoke again, "As to where he is, currently I have him trapped in the dome over there, though I have no idea as to how long it will hold him. With that in mind, we need to retre-", "We have to kill him right now!".
Ghidorah was caught off guard by Hokmuto suddenly interrupting him mid sentence, but he quickly recovered, giving his subordinate incredulous look before he spoke, "You cannot be serious Hokmuto. We were at a stalemate with him when both of us were fighting before, and now with the state your in, it'll just be between me and him when he currently has a power boost.". Hokmuto glared up at Ghidorah, his teeth grinding together in anger at the golden Kaiju "Yeah, but doesn't that dome thing of yours drain the life force out of anything inside it? Shouldn't you be able to drain him dry or something before he breaks out?". Frustration at Hokmuto soon became clear when Ghidorah's gauntleted hand tightening its grip onto his trident and his blood red eyes quickly sharpening into a glare at his subordinate.
"Listen to me right now Hokmuto." Ghidorah said, growling under his breath in frustration with his stubborn subordinate as he continued. "I know a hell of a lot more about both Godzilla and how my powers work. So when I say my dome is not going to hold him for long, I know what I am talking about, and I also know that I can not just "drain something dry" as powerful and as willful as Godzilla!". Surprising both Ghidorah, and also himself, Hokmuto wouldn't back down from Ghidorah's anger, glaring right back up at him, pushing himself up further off of the ground to better face and stand up against Ghidorah, "If that's true then he's bound to be exhausted once he does break out! This is our chance to take him out once and for all if only you would stop being a coward and finish him off!".
Even as the words had left Hokmuto's mouth, he knew he had just made a terrible mistake, evidenced by how the color would disappear from his face and how his want to get off of the ground would similarly disappear. At first, Ghidorah wouldn't react, almost as if he was having issues processing what Hokmuto had just said to him, the thought of his subordinate being dumb enough to call him a coward didn't seem possible to him. When he did finally process it, his expression would turn downright murderous at Hokmuto. Ghirodah's teeth let out a loud click as they gritted together with enough force to threaten to crack them apart as his pupils were as small as pinpricks in rage as they glared down at Hokmuto. A loud growl of anger erupted out of his throat as the two pairs of ruby gems that were the eyes of the dragon head shoulder guards seemed to shine threateningly at Hokmuto as he fearfully reeled back under the terrifying glare.
Ghidorah let in a deep breath to calm himself down as he found the urge to knock Hokmuto out again and/or stab him with his trident and then carry him away rising, which only found minimal success. As he fought against those urges, his grip on the three headed weapon was strong enough now that it had it been on something organic, it would've very likely had broken the bone, something Hokmuto became acutely aware of. Taking in another breath, this time not to calm himself down but to prepare himself to say something, something that was obvious to Hokmuto will be a command that he was going to follow or Ghidorah was going to make him. However, luckily for Hokmuto, he did not get a chance to say he was wanting to say.
Right when Ghidorah had opened his mouth in order to speak, a sound reminiscent of glass cracking filled the air, causing both Kaiju to freeze in place. Slowly, they both turned their heads in the direction of where the sound had come from, which was the same direction of the dome that held Godzilla in place, which amongst the golden light was a streaking crack giving off an azure blue light. Barely after the two of them had properly processed that the crack was there, a loud thud was heard from the dome before the crack grew even larger alongside a new crack, giving off the same blue light. Rapidly, more and more cracks formed on the outside of the dome as the older ones grew larger in size with a new thud each time.
Ghidorah's eyes widened as before him, his golden dome, with each blue crack, slowly began to turn from the proud shining gold to a darker green color, and as if only further began to change. Shaking his head to get him out of the state of shock he was in, Ghidorah broke his sight away from the rapidly changing dome, the Golden King looked at Hokmuto, who was frozen in shock, his eyes wide behind cracked sunglasses as he continued to watch as the dome began to grow bright once more, but now it was shifting to a more bluish color than the gold it should of been. Swearing his breath, Ghidorah knew he didn't have any time to stop whatever Godzilla was doing inside of his dome, or even to grab Hokmuto and fly away in time to get away.
Acting off of instinct, Ghidorah grabbed the edge of one of his twin capes before placing it in front of him and Hokmuto protectively. As he did that, the dome would begin to glow brighter once again, the green now becoming a matching shade of blue as the light coming out of the cracks. Briefly, for only a second, the dome seemed to go transparent as inside the center of the dome could be seen was a dark outline that matched Godzilla's silhouette, but there was something off about it, even from the very brief glimpse of it. Before Ghidorah or Hokmuto could figure out what exactly was different about, the dome would shatter completely.
As the golden dome of energy finally gave way and collapsed, the nuclear energy it had held within finally broke free, surging out of the remains of the golden dome in the form of an explosion similar to a Nuclear Pulse produced by Godzilla. Ghidorah grit his as he felt the shockwave reached them, the cape he was using to protect him and his subordinate fluttered wildly from the shockwave, doing his best to resist the powerful blast of air. Hokmuto closed his eyes behind his sunglasses, the shock wave passing over him doing nothing to help his broken body feel better, even with Ghidorah blocking most of it with his own body along with his cape. What did help was feeling the nuclear energy the shockwave carried began to enter his body, making him feel slightly better and restoring some of his energy.
Smoke and dust quickly covered the whole area after the explosion had finally dissipated, bringing the two Kaiju into a thick darkness with neither of them able to see very far in front of them due to the dust. Silence filled the air in a quantity that was thicker than both the smoke and dust that surrounded the two Kaiju, both searching blindly in the darkness for any sign of their enemy. Neither of them spoke or moved for several seconds.
"We are leaving." Ghidorah said in a tense whisper somewhat breaking the silence, his grip on his trident tightening as he flicked his eyes toward the injured Hokmuto, who jumped in surprise at the sudden sound. "What!?" Hokmuto hissed out in anger, but before he could continue on to say anything further, Ghidorah harshly shut him down with a near lethal glare sent chills down the spine of the other Kaiju and caused him to back down, clearly not in the mood to even humour Homuto with an argument after what he had just said. When Ghidorah saw that Hokmuto wasn't going to argue back against him, he quickly snapped his line of sight back onto the ever shifting dust cloud in search of any sign of Godzilla.
"We were having enough trouble against him before, and with what's going on with him right now, he's more than strong enough to crush us. If we stay and fight right now, it would be practically a death sentence for us." Ghidorah explained to Hokmuto in a voice that was only just loud enough for him to hear while looking for any signs of movement through the clouds of smoke and dust, "We can kill him at a later time when we are better prepared and not caught off guard so we don't get ourselves killed in the process.". Hokmuto growled out in frustration, angry at the situation more than he was Ghidorah for having a very good point. It had been so long since he had last met Godzilla, and he here he was powerless against him and unable to kill him to get his revenge.
Before Hokmuto could say anything, either in protest or agreement, something lept out of the smoke faster than either of the Kaiju could react, ramming into the center of Ghidorah, knocking the air out of his lungs and sending him flying into the smoke and out of Hokmuto's sight. "Ghidorah!" Hokmuto called out as his ally disappeared into the dark clouds and out of sight, he made an attempt to get up and go after him, but Hokmuto's body quickly protested against it as a wave quickly went through it, causing him to groan out in pain. Hokmuto grit his teeth in pain as he quickly searched through the surrounding area for any sign of Ghidorah or Godzilla through the thick clouds of smoke and dust to no avail. The eerie silence began to settle around Hokmuto as tension quickly began to rise, and the Parasitic Kaiju could feel panic and fear quickly beginning to rise within him as he desperately attempted to find any signs of either his enemy or ally.
Suddenly, every single one of Hokmuto's survival instincts screamed at him to move as fast as he can. Never one to deny his instincts, Hokmuto ignored the surge of pain as he used every bit of his strength to push up off of the ground and jumping away just before something slammed down onto the ground where he just was, shattering the concrete with more than force to have torn Hokmuto in half had he been any slower. A shockwave was created from the force of whatever it was that slammed into the ground, knocking Hokmuto back even further through the air.
Hokmuto braced himself for a hard landing on the concrete as he was carried off by the shockwave, sticking his arms out behind him in an attempt to at least somewhat break his fall or keep the impact off of his still injured back. Unfortunately, Hokmuto suddenly stopped halted in the air when something shot out of the clouds of dust, wrapping around Hokmuto's neck like a python tight enough to choke him. Hokmuto's eyes bulged at the sudden difficulty breathing, his hands flying up to claw at and attempt to remove whatever it was that was choking him and suspending him in the air, subsequently noticing that whatever it was that held him by the throat was scaly and warm.
Hokmuto struggled to get enough air into his body in order to stay conscious with each breath, though it soon became even more difficult as whatever it was that was wrapped around his throat. In the distant back of his mind, Hokmuto noted that he was able to hear a deep, low rumbling somewhere in front of him, but at the moment Hokmuto he was more concerned with the fact that the lack of oxygen was quickly causing his vision to darken. It didn't take long in the already dimly lit area covered in clouds of smoke and dust for Hokmuto's vision to completely turn black, and the only thing for him to be able to see was complete darkness… until a bright light of azure suddenly light up in front of his face.
Hokmuto froze as the blue light grew brighter before a second, slightly larger light light up right next to it before a third and then a fourth. Slowly more and more blue light began to appear, traveling around Hokmuto's neck before going off in front of him in a slightly curved angle, each light getting bigger and brighter than the last one while also gaining a distinctive spiked maple leaf shape. The blue lights lit up a small section of the nearby area, revealing a long reptilian tail covered in dark charcoal scales was what had been choking Hokmuto and holding him up into the air. With each new blue light being created, the more the area around them was lit up, and the greater the horror Hokmuto felt grew as he was going through the worst sense of Deja vu imaginable.
Eventually, the blue spiked maple leaf shaped lights grew big enough and began to get bright enough to reveal more of the surrounding area including the dark outline of a gigantic humanoid figure. It easily stood at twelve feet tall, even if it was slightly crouched over, and had wide powerful frame that was filled to the brim with muscle. On its back, the outline of more maple shaped spikes that had yet to light up yet
As more of the spikes continued to light up with blue light, the more of the figure was revealed from the darkness as the area around it was lit up. The legs and knees were soon visible in the azure blue light, revealing muscular humanoid legs that were covered in torn and burnt clothing though not a single inch of skin was able to be seen, instead the legs were completely covered in charcoal covered scales, leading to feet that weren't human at all though, looking more like a theropod dinosaurs with four large toes with slightly curved large claws at the end of each one, covered in the same scales that were all around the leg. The torso was next thing Hokmuto could see, patches of the dark grey scales covering most of the lower stomach though slowly and upper chest, and the parts of skin in between them showing off toned muscle. When the light grew strong enough that the arms were visible, Hokmuto saw clawed hands that were completely covered in scales with long sharp claws, the scales continuing up the forearm to the elbow where the scales gave way to normal skin, allowing the strong muscle underneath to be seen on the biceps.
Finally, all of the maple leaf shaped spikes glowed blue, the final one being a very small one just below the hair of the figure, lighting up just before he lowered his head enough for Hokmuto to clearly see the enraged snarling face of Godzilla, showing off razor sharp teeth as blue flames began to leak out of the corner of his mouth and with two patches of scales on each side of his neck, each having flaps that looked an awful lot like gills. The burning orange reptilian eyes slowly beginning to glow the same shade of blue as the light given off by his glowing spikes as he took a deep breath. Hokmuto, too shocked at the sudden transformation of Godzilla into a Faunus like form that possessed features of his Kaiju form, was left unprepared as Godzilla let loose a roar right in his face that seemed to shake the very foundations of, not just Vale, but Remnant as a whole.
SKRRREEEOOOOONNNNNKKKKK
Another year, another 23,000 chapter that nearly costed me my sanity… yeah something about this needs to change. I can't promise about the next one, but the chapter after that certainly won't take me as long as it has with the other chapters.
