With the alarm blaring, Duncan, Ursula, Zander and Ed slipped away back to their truck – keeping vigilant for any staff. However, before they got to the truck, Ursula pinned Duncan against the wall and said, threateningly, "Now our cover's been blown, is there anything else we should know about?" She let Duncan go and he fell to the ground, gasping for air.

Duncan, heavily breathing, said "Yeah; I think Alice Denham and Will Darrow know what I'm really doing here – and Nikolai Koshkin, the chief of security here, has been suspicious about an infiltration for ages now. If we take them out and get out of here with the remote, I think we'll have time." Duncan passed the three pictures of Alice, Will and Nikolai. Nodding, Ursula turned to her two cohorts, "Zander, take out Alice and Will, Ed, take out the security chief. Rendezvous with me and Duncan by the tyrannosaur paddock once you're done." The two men saluted and left, trying to keep quiet – the park was, no doubt on alert.

After they were gone, Ursula turned to Duncan, "Let me get this straight, you already knew people might be on to you? Frank left those details out when he contacted us – he said that this was going to be a simple in-out-job." Duncan shrugged and said, "Eh, he's an idiot. Welcome to my world."

Nikolai Koshkin was sitting in Hell's Oceans, by the Liopleurodon tank, watching the giant marine reptiles and ruminating. The opening was coming up soon – however, he was not worried. The park was always going to be open to the public. That was how they were going to keep going and that was how they were going to make money.

However, there was still the incident from eight months ago – the tablet he had found after the Borealosaurus escape. Three weeks after the incident, he'd got a message from Steve Woodward – he'd enquired to Theodore about potential sabotage and Theodore had promised to look into the incident. However, since then, Woodward had heard nothing – no potential leads, no potential links, no nothing.

Suddenly, his radio crackled into life, and Drew's voice screamed from the other end, "Red alert! Red alert! There's a T-rex on the loose and it isn't one of ours! Repeat, it isn't one of ours!" Nikolai briefly looked confused – how could that be possible? There was no way a T-rex could have slipped through the portal and have remained unnoticed until now – they kept the portal under constant watch and the only tyrannosaurs that had gone through were the ones the team had brought back.

He only had a few seconds to ruminate on this, before the radio crackled again, and Yolanda's voice came screaming in from the other end, "I've found Adrian in the portal room passed out! He's coming round, but I think he's been tased. One of the portal remotes is also missing! Someone has stolen one of our remotes!" He was suddenly jolted back to reality – someone had stolen one of the remotes? That could have only meant…

Nikolai suddenly whipped his arm back and grabbed the short, stocky man in an armlock, before the man could fire a taser gun at him, wresting it from his grip. Nikolai snorted, "Oh please, do you really think you are dealing with a novice here." The man glowered, "Was worth a try", and attempted to struggle free from Nikolai's grip.

As Nikolai turned to look at his assailant, he got a closer look at him – the man was short, clad in black BDUs and had the air of a professional mercenary. The two grappled for a few minutes – Nikolai attempting to restrain him and the man trying to break free. Eventually holding him in a headlock, Nikolai said, "Who are you?" The mercenary spat, "Ain't gonna tell you, mate." The man took advantage of Nikolai's brief moment of confusion to break free and attempt to jab his handheld taser in Nikolai's stomach. However Nikolai ducked, picked up the man's taser gun and shot him with it. The mercenary took a few steps back, as if in a drunken stupor, before falling into the Liopleurodon pool. Once the mercenary had landed in the pool, Thanatos closed the distance in an instant; with one snap, the mercenary was gone.

Looking at the spectacle, Nikolai breathed heavily – it was a terrible end, to a likely terrible life, but he couldn't help but agree that it was somehow a fitting one. His mind immediately began analysing the situation – this man wasn't just some thug. He had clearly been sent to kill Nikolai and obviously had some sort of training… One of the portal remotes had been stolen; the picture all this added up to wasn't a good one.

His train of thought was interrupted when a voice crackled from the mercenary's dropped radio. "Ed? Ed? Ed, report!", a harsh female voice crackled form over the radio, "Have you terminated him yet? Ed?! Ed?! Ed, REPORT THIS INSTANT, YOU ID-!" The radio cut off, before Nikolai picked it up. Lifting his own radio, he said, "Drew? Meet me at the vet offices – there has been a complication. I'll explain the situation when you've caught the T-rex."

The allosaurs had been successful against numerous escapes in their time at the park – the Tarbosaurus escape at first and then several escapes since then, particularly during the mass breakout. In Leon's humble opinion, the training programme had been successful – however, the young female T-rex was another opponent entirely. At a single burst of speed, she was running fast enough to get ahead of the allosaurs – and whenever they cornered her, her frenzied, aggressive fighting style was enough to get past them.

The third attempt to corner her had been unsuccessful – feigning injury, she had enabled the allosaurs to move closer, before biting Rhaegal in the flank and hitting Drogon with her tail and tearing off into the night. All this was wearing the allosaurs down – badly; Rhaegal was tucking one of his arms by his side when he ran, Viserion was still limping slightly and Drogon, the least injured of them, was still showing signs of tiring.

Pausing to recuperate, Leon turned to the rest of Drew's team and said, "We need a change of plan. She's wearing down the allosaurs bit-by-bit; she's also getting smart when we try to corner her." Jack nodded, "Yeah; she's keeping one step ahead of us. And, besides, how the hell did she get here anyway." Drew looked at them both and sighed, "We'll find out when we catch her. So let's keep looking." Jack, Leon, Collete and Kyle looked at each other, before nodding; they would answer that question when they found her.

Before they could leave, however, Drew's radio crackled into life; Drew lifted his radio and Nikolai's voice crackled in from the other side, "Drew? Meet me at the vet offices – there has been a complication. I'll explain the situation when you've caught the T-rex." Suddenly, a light went off in Drew's head. Smirking, he said, "Wait at the vet offices and be ready with a tranq gun – I've got a plan to get the T-rex and it's a cracker." Jack, Collete, Leon and Kyle looked at each other – they knew that look all too well.
