Hey ya'll. This isn't a new chapter, as you can clearly see.

I've been doing some thinking in regards to this story. Certain plot points that I've used for the story have been given second thought, and…I realize there was a much simpler solution in how to go about certain situations. Like with how exactly Amber, Colt and others are in Beacon. Not saying that I don't like how I've written the story up to this point. Far from it. This story has been fun to write as a self-insert, and is still fun to write.

It's just that, in hindsight, there was a better way for what Amber, Colt, and others would do at Beacon that made a lot more sense than establishing a security force at Beacon. Not that a place like Beacon can't have a security force, but what I've thought of over the past few weeks makes more sense and is less convoluted.

Now, given that I've been thinking about this a lot, there has obviously been one obvious solution to ease my mind: a rewrite.

*pitchforks and torches are raised*

Here me out, okay? Jeez.

Now, just to state for the record, I have not just blindly decided to do a rewrite. Nor have I come to a full decision on the matter. I'm still taking it into consideration.

That being said…a rewrite would allow me to flesh things out a bit more, as well as try certain ideas that I've come up with that could've been a thing in this story.

But again, I have not come to a full decision on that. A rewrite won't happen until I've fully decided in favor of it. And the reason I'm still undecided on this is one simple reason.

I want to hear from you all. The readers.

I tend to want to get a second opinion on things before deciding anything. Or in this case, several opinions. Because again, wow. Over 2000 followers. Though I have the oddest feeling that some of those followers may not be reading the story anymore. I only think this because of that year-long hiatus I had previously. I mean, that's long enough for people to just lose interest in a story. That, or they just stopped reading fanfiction or something. I don't know. Not saying I'll suddenly get 2000 reviews, though. That's just ridiculous.

But anyway, I want to hear from the rest of you. I want to hear your opinions on a potential rewrite. Is it necessary and all that? In the end, the decision will be mine as I am the writer, but I'd still like to hear your opinions on the matter. Not just in a review (or PM, though I may not respond right away). See, I've put up a poll on my profile.

The options are the following:

- Rewrite, but with full knowledge of Volume's 1-6

- Rewrite, but with the same limited knowledge of Volume's 1-3

- No rewrite, keep moving forward with the current version

Now, a quick note on that last option. I still have a plan on how to finish this story should I decide not to do a rewrite. I know what I want to do in terms of the remainder of Volume 1, and Volume's 2 and 3 in full. So nothing would really be lost in continuing this story. Other than the potential changes that would come in how the rewrite is handled.

Now for the first two options…nothing much to say. The rewrite could either be left with the same limited knowledge that I've had Colt (me) know for this story, or I could have him have the full knowledge of all six Volumes.

The latter would obviously lose the opportunity for Colt to react to the idea of their being actual Gods, Salem being immortal, the Relics, Ozpin and Salem's past, etc. But on the plus side, he would have the advantage of having advanced knowledge of the future. Which is cool and all, but…his reaction would've been priceless. Also, the time period on Earth would be different from the story for when the main character "transitions" into Remnant. So basically, early to mid 2019, after Volume 6 but obviously long before Volume 7. Admittedly, I might be able to add some commentary from current times and pop culture due to this. Not as a main point, but maybe for short scenes or comparisons.

As for having limited knowledge, it would be interesting to write all the Volume 4-6 stuff into the story with a SI character who only knows about Volume's 1-3. And again…his reaction would be priceless. Also, the time period on Earth would be the same as in the story for when the main character "transitions" into Remnant. So basically, towards the end of summer of 2015, and before Volume 4 came out. Less commentary from current times and pop culture, but commentary nonetheless. Same for comparisons.

So even if I were to go for a rewrite, I would have to decide whether or not the main character has limited or full knowledge of the events in RWBY. Hence the poll.

So I'd like to hear your opinions. Both in the poll and in reviews (and maybe PM, but again, I may not respond right away; I have stuff to do and all). Should I even do a rewrite? And if so, limited or full knowledge?

The poll is up on my profile already. Vote and leave a review (or PM, but- you know what, you get the point) if you can.

I eagerly await your responses to this.

Laters.
