Author's note: Finally I managed to finish this chapter. Enjoy. Sorry it has taken so long.

Chapter 14:
A Gift to Remember

The two-footer wearily gazes up at the Night Circle that is emblazoned on the star-filled sky. A surprisingly clear, crisp night that Tyrana has never had the privilege of seeing before. Here, she can admire it all as it shines down on her. In the foreboding lands where she hatched, she was constantly moving under cover of the night just to find new hunting grounds with her parents or unclaimed territory they could claim as their own. She was too young to know any better, then as she grew older, she started to understand just why it was always necessary.

She thought being with Chomper would be different after they matured, lived, hunted and slept together, but it was still the same. Always moving when the days grew chill of a night time. Never having time to stop unless for a drink, due to the unforgiving weather and otherworldly changes that they witnessed countless times. Then there were the constant battles they had to contend with for hunting and territorial rights. Needless to say, the repetitive attempts of other males trying to keep her from Chomper while she was in heat so they could have their way with her all played a part in the hell of the Mysterious Beyond and Tyrana's wish to leave it all behind. All she has is adverse memories.

She lets out a growl, basking under the glow of the dim light as its silver strands reach over her eyes and snout. It is taunting her. She knows it is. How many cycles of that blasted Night Circle have passed since she last saw him, or has it been just one? She could not tell. All she comprehends is being away far too long from her mate and needing him. Her usual judgement is now disturbed, and without him, she is lost and alone. She wants to feel his body once more. She wants to rest in his comfort again. But all she can do is close her eyes and hope to see his handsome face for the new dawn. She huffs in displeasure through her nose, silently drifting into another lonely sleep.

The following day comes too soon, the light of the Bright Circle peeking its blinding tendrils into her eyes. She groans something foul at it, not that it cares how much of an annoyance it may be for her. Yet another day of waiting around, and Tyrana cannot stand it anymore.

She clambers to her feet and heads to the river, knowing that she has to hunt on her own yet again today. The last time she tried, it took her hours to make a kill. It was always much more manageable with Chomper helping her, but she still struggles to understand, even now, why he cannot just kill something with her. Yes, she understands how he is around Leafeaters considering his friends, but at the same time, they are simply their diet. She may have her own customs, but if she is to remain with Chomper for the rest of her life, she needs to think like him as well. But the longer she stays here alone, the closer she is to hunting the residents only next door, and that worries her. What if she makes a mistake? What if the residents figure out where she is hiding? Everything Chomper said would then be useless. She would be sent away, back out into the hellscape she hopes to never return to.

The Great Valley is quiet, peaceful and safe. She has no need to worry about something else hunting her here, and if it comes to her own kind, mating with her instead. She sometimes dreamt of Chomper dying by a rival, and then that same rival pinning her down to do his business with her. Those dreams were why she had been restless some nights, worried they may come true. And that scares her, believing she may have the same dream again.

Chomper. Where are you? Why haven't you returned? Tyrana thinks to herself. You've been gone so long. I'm worried.

It was only the other day when she started getting accustomed to the new smells here, and one of them in particular messes with her sinuses making them sting. Those revolting fruits. Why did Chomper choose this of all places to hopefully settle down in? If she were to make a nest here, not even their babies would like it. Tyrana makes a noise of disgust when the same smell enters her nose.

Why do they smell so bad? She continues to the nearby river to guzzle down her much-needed fluids, but with the fruits spread about the area, she is awkwardly stepping over and around them, just to avoid squashing one between her toes. She dreads the act of having to clean the mess up if ever she makes that mistake. In moments after she bends down to drink, there is a revolting taste in her mouth that is both chunky and squidgy. It is then that she realises one of those fruits is now in her mouth, so she swings her head to the side and spits it right out, roaring something vile and storming off in disgust.

Repugnant and rotten, just like this entire place! I shall force Chomper to make us move! I hate it here!

Not long after her roar, she hears heavy footsteps getting closer to the Hidden Canyon and kicks herself for being so loud. What if it told an aggressive herbivore herd where she was, or worse another carnivore? She thinks to step back and hide, but then understands it is only from one. For some reason the sound is not coming from the valley itself, but from the Mysterious Beyond. Now she is certain it is a Sharptooth and is quick to act defensive and territorial, lowering herself on her haunches ready to pounce if need be. Much to her surprise, the one who appears is not a threat to her or the Great Valley, but a Longneck resident himself. On his back, a Fast Runner. She tilts her head, just curiously listening to them chatter as she relaxes once more.

"Midas? Are you sure it was Tyrana who roared earlier? I mean. She knows to be quiet, right?"

"Littlefoot. I am certain the roar came from the Hidden Canyon. And the only one in there is Tyrana."

"I guess. But why would she need to roar so loudly? The residents panicked for a moment, and now me and my friends are patrolling just to keep the peace." He pauses. "In truth it is just a ruse, considering we're the only ones who know Tyrana has been living with us."

Tyrana wondered what all the rushing noises were next door, but she never worried because they were distant and quick to go quiet. Yes, she understands Leafeater to an extent thanks to Chomper, but is still learning to speak it. Her natural tongue just takes over whenever she tries to talk. In the end, she makes a noise of sorrow and lowers her head as they near.

"Well that's a sorry sight. A Sharptooth apologising to us," Midas states, clearly understanding what Tyrana just said. "There's no need to apologise, Tyrana. But do try to be a little quieter, just in case."

"You can speak, Sharptooth?" Littlefoot questions in awe.

"No. I can't speak it, but I can understand it. You can thank Ruby for that. She's been teaching me for a few years now."

"That reminds me of that funny guy when I was younger with all my friends. Dreadtooth I think his name was. He was friends with three Fast Biters who couldn't speak a word of Leafeater. Dreadtooth on the other hand, could speak both. He had to translate Sharptooth for us, when Chomper wasn't around."

"You are friends with some very weird fellows."

"He was weird."

Tyrana huffs in disgust.

"Now, now Tyrana. We're not teasing you or anything. We're worried about you," Midas says, looking at her harmless face.

"Why?" she tries to ask in Leafeater, but it just comes out all mixed up. She snorts in distaste at her poor attempt.

"You just tried to speak Leafeater, didn't you, Tyrana?" Littlefoot asks, accepting that she tried. "It was close, but I can see Chomper still needs to teach you."

Tyrana walks away making a depressing sound, before laying back down on the patch of grass she had flattened, her back towards them both.

"Tyrana?"

"Littlefoot! Now you've hurt her feelings."

"I didn't mean to." He walks towards her. "Sorry, Tyrana."

"When is Chomper coming back?" she asks in Sharptooth, before looking away from them.

"Oh…" Midas tries.

"What's the matter?"

"She misses him."

"Oh. I'm so sorry, Tyrana. I didn't mean to make you upset. I'm sure he'll return before you know it."

"It's been so long since he left."

"Yes. It has been a week since your mate had to go, Tyrana." Midas consoles. "But you are safest here I assure you."

"And I don't like it here. It smells revolting. The fruits are repugnant. I want a new place away from here."

"The fruits?" Midas questions.

"Yeah. About that…" Littlefoot begins. "This time of year they often fall from these trees and rot. But it was how we kept Sharpteeth from sneaking into the valley from this side. Well. At the time me and my friends didn't know that they were Sharptooth repelling fruits, until we ate too many and Redclaw arrived with Screech and Thud."

"Either way. Where else can we let you go, Tyrana? This place is the only place blocked off from the Great Valley residents, with an exit to the Mysterious Beyond."

"If you want us to move them, we can do so."

"Move them? Move them where?"

"She's asking where." Midas translates.

"Oh. Away from you for a start. I can ask my friends to help me move them to the Mysterious Beyond exit, as far from you as possible."

"Will that keep the smell away?"

"She's asking if it will keep the smell away."

"Oh, sure it will. If not fully, then enough for you both to stand it."

"And our hatchlings. I'm thinking about them too. When I finally lay my eggs that is." Unless it happened to have failed. I don't feel anything there. Are we doomed to never have offspring?

"I see. You're worried about your children."

"Children?" Littlefoot asks in surprise.

"Chomper and I, we…"

"Alright, alright. I understand that you two, did it." Midas interrupts, not wishing to know anymore.

"So that means we get to meet your little hatchlings in the future," Littlefoot joyously states.

"Littlefoot? You can't just show up when a mother has her young, you know." Midas says looking up at Littlefoot.

"I know," Littlefoot replies, glancing down over to his back. "We'll wait until we are given permission of course. But I'm sure Chomper will allow it." Littlefoot starts to walk off, but Midas casually hops down before her. "I'll be back, Tyrana, with my friends to clear up these fruits."

"Thank you. I just want time to myself without those vile chunks of flesh getting in my mouth or in the way. That's why I roared earlier. I only wanted a drink, but instead I got rotten fruit."

"Yes. It was kinda foul coming from you too."

"Sorry. I'm not used to this. The smell makes my nose sting. And I'm worried I'll turn on you all."

"Why would you turn on us, Tyrana?" Midas wonders.

"My judgement is all clouded right now. Without Chomper, I can't think for myself clearly. I've thought about hunting the Leafeaters in the valley, more than once since being left alone. Chomper wouldn't be happy if it happened though. He wants Sharpteeth like us to live in peace with Leafeaters. I just can't yet understand it. Hunting out there is hard for me alone. That's why I'm worried I'll turn on you all, and then get thrown out. The Great Valley has many more places to hide and hunt from. It'd be easy to make a kill there. And a lot of them seem oblivious to me and Chomper being only next door. Besides, I always thought Leafeaters feared and hated us, but being here, with you and Littlefoot and the others. I've learned that not all of them fear or hate us. It's also why I can't think straight. It's all confusing."

"Don't worry, Tyrana. I'm sure you'll get used to it eventually. I understand hunting us is in your nature. It's why I shouldn't be here talking to you. But I know since you've known Chomper for such a long time, that you aren't a threat to me or anyone else."

"But I am a threat. I'm a predator. And you are my diet."

"If you were a threat to me, I'd have run miles away by now. If you wanted to kill and eat me, you'd have done so already. But I am still here, speaking with you. That's more than enough proof that you aren't a threat. So try not to worry so much, okay. I understand if you are starving, that you'd eat me considering all this without hesitation. But you still have a heart. And you're still willing to live alongside us."

"I guess, But please, keep your distance, just in case I hurt you."

"I understand." Midas takes a step back. "Anyway. I'll clear up your water source for you. We can't have a Sharptooth become a herbivore now, can we?" He heads off as Tyrana watches him in thought, wondering if she should attempt to be friends with the herbivores here.

Should I do it? Become friends with them. And was it right to say what I did? I don't want to hurt them. But I feel like I might, if they keep coming back to check on me. Her stomach growls. Damn. Now I'm hungry. She stands to her feet and starts to head off.

"Tyrana!" Midas calls. "Where are you going?"

Tyrana turns her gaze towards him. "To hunt. I'd rather hunt away from you all, than hunt you. I'll be back. Please tell Littlefoot and the others to not worry about me. I'm still a successful hunter."

"Understood. May your hunt be a good one." He goes back to work, clearing out the river as Tyrana turns away and heads off to the foreboding lands once more.

Littlefoot returns to the Hidden Canyon with Cera, Ducky, Petrie and Spike, but only sees Midas piling up soggy fruits beside him as they disperse about the location in search of the overripe and rotting edibles. He looks around in hope Tyrana is nearby, but does not see her anywhere and is now worried. Heading to Midas, he decides to ask where Tyrana has gone.

"Midas. Where is she? Has something happened? Is she alright?"

"Relax, Littlefoot," Midas complies, now holding a pile of rotting fruit in his arms. "She has gone on a hunt. Knowing her, she will eat it out there far away from here, or far enough other carnivores won't think to come here in search of food."

"O-oh. That makes sense."

"Though she might be out there longer than you think, considering she mentioned that she hunted better with Chomper helping her."

"I wonder why Chomper hasn't come back yet."

"Who's to know? He isn't here to tell us." He starts to walk forward. "Also. She told me to tell you not to worry about her. She is still a successful hunter."

"That's good. As long as she is able to feed herself." He dips his head into the stream, and pulls it back out holding a few rotten windfalls in his jaws before walking alongside Midas towards the entrance from the Mysterious Beyond. Man. If I ever ate a number of these, I'd be completely out of it. They taste so strong and fermented. Placing them down, he carefully moves them with his tail into strategic positions just like all his friends do. An hour's work with everyone working together is finished quickly, and he is very surprised Spike did not try to eat the fruits. However, Littlefoot glances out into the expanse hoping to find Tyrana out there, despite all his friends heading back in a manner that explains they had chased a predator away. Midas hops back onto his back, yet Littlefoot does not speak.

"You won't find her out there, Littlefoot. She may still be busy hunting for something or is eating her meal right now."

"But it's been quite a while since she headed out there."

"I know. But you can't worry about her. She's capable. If anything, I'll pop back to the Hidden Canyon later and check on her. Maybe by then, Chomper would have returned."

"Would you let me know she is back safe and sound?"

"Littlefoot. Of course I will. But how you're acting is kinda weird. Don't you already have a wife?"

"What? No that's, not how I feel about Tyrana." He shakes himself trying to make sure Midas falls off.

"Whoa. Hey! I'm sitting here!"

"You have legs. You can use them. Now off my back!"

"Why?"

"Because you thought I fancied Tyrana!"

Midas just sighs before hopping off. "Well it's not my fault you're acting as if Tyrana is your wife!" He grunts in disgust, heading out then making fast steps on the spot in the barren wasteland just outside. "Ow! The ground's burning my feet!" He hurries off before Littlefoot could even take another step, making it round the bend and disappearing into the valley.

Littlefoot makes one final glance out into the distance, then goes back into thought taking slow steps forward back towards the viable land he has lived in for many years. Please Tyrana. Make it back safe.

Watching Ali and his kids eating was always intriguing to Littlefoot. A strategic bite here, a turn of Ali's head to the little ones on her back with a bunch of new leaves there, and never a single leaf astray. Sure, he was hungry, but the guilt welling up from inside just seemed to put him off. He had a plan, yet just stared at the swaying greens in the tree instead. Ali glances his way, and instantly notices something is wrong.

Yes. He knows Tyrana will be fine, but not telling Ali for an entire week just sets him on edge, even though he had his reasons as to why he did not want to tell her anything. However, seeing her look of concern as she walks towards him, he could not possibly let her down. If she wants an answer, he will have no choice except to answer.

"Littlefoot, hun. Whatever is the matter? You've hardly eaten. Is everything alright?"

"I don't know, Ali."

"Is something on your mind? You can tell me. What is wrong?"

"I just feel guilty I haven't told you." He pauses. "I mean. I want to tell you, but I'm worried you'll be unaccepting about this."

"Unaccepting about what?" She stops before Littlefoot, and instinctively nuzzles him. "If you don't tell me, I'll never know."

"I just don't know how to put this."

"You can try to explain. I'll understand. We're here for you."

What surprises Littlefoot is little Bruno, bravely running along his mother's neck carrying the largest leaf he can in his mouth. It is enormous. As he makes it atop Ali's head, he proudly lifts his own high in a gift like manner, holding out the meal.

"Thank you for the offer, Bruno. But you eat it. That treestar is yours." He nuzzles him. "Okay?" Bruno nods. "Now go and enjoy it." Bruno hurries back to his two sisters, to enjoy the meal with them.

"So what is on your mind, hun?" Ali presses, and Littlefoot knows she will keep asking until he explains. Such is her persistence. "You'll feel better getting it off your chest, I promise."

"It's about Tyrana."

"Who is Tyrana?"

"If you're gonna hate me after this, I'll understand."

"I won't hate you. So who is Tyrana?"

"She… she's Chomper's mate."

"Chomper? Chomper." Her silence only makes Littlefoot more anxious. "Oh, Chomper. Your Sharptooth friend. He has a mate?"

"Yes. And well." He lowers his voice so no one including his children can hear what he has to say next. "She's living with us right now, in the Hidden Valley. I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this sooner. She's been here for a week. How could I send her away? Chomper journeyed here with her, all through the Mysterious Beyond, just looking for a safe place to stay."

"I can understand why you've tried to keep her secret. Even from me. But as I can trust Chomper, I can trust Tyrana too."

"So you understand my reasons for this entire week?"

"Yes, Littlefoot."

"I wanted to tell you sooner, I just didn't know how. She had nowhere else to go where it was safe. Neither of them did." But was Midas right? Am I treating Tyrana like my wife?

"Stop worrying so much." She pauses. "You were like this that day during the Time of Great Growing. You remember, right? The moment I saw you again for the first time."

"How could I forget? You were literally nose to nose with me."

By now the gang were in their own mind proudly walking along a huge log across a raging river below, Littlefoot of course at the very front. He glanced back to all his friends, in the typical organised way, seeing Ducky and Petrie talking. He wondered what it was they were chatting about, considering he cannot lip read even if he tried, yet he still managed to take forward steps ahead of him without slipping once.

Eyeing over the top of the group, he saw Chomper at the very back unsure what emotion he was making. All he knew, Chomper seemed mighty depressed with his head held low, even though Littlefoot had told him countless times that he had already been forgiven. Had Chomper still not forgave himself? Or was it something worse? He must still be feeling guilty about it. I mean. He looked like a savage in my eyes, while he refused to let her go. But since then, all of us have forgiven him. He glances at Cera. I think.

Cera gave him a look of confusion, but did not say a word. Littlefoot understood this was because she wondered if he was addressing her or not. It was then that he noticed Ducky had seen something, but as he looked there he found nothing except the sights of the valley in that direction. Cue Ali's snout in his face the moment he looked back ahead, before a sudden wave of emotions caused him to blush.

"Hey!" Cera shouted in surprise, strangely not in Littlefoot's direction, but then he heard her address him. "Littlefoot?! Why'd you stop?!"

"There's a queue back here!" Spike shouted in annoyance Littlefoot's way. It was true. Ever since Spike found his voice, he had been rude and sometimes bossy, almost like Cera, yet Littlefoot along with his friends were also happy. But being this close and personal to Ali, Littlefoot simply struggled to speak.

"A-A-Ali!"

"Hey Littlefoot! What're you doing?"

"Em, nothing." He backed away slightly. "Just walking with the gang."

"Hello! Can we get going?!" Spike shouted to Littlefoot a second time.

"Spike. Be patient." Littlefoot heard Ruby say.

"Patient?" There was a pause. "How can we be patient standing on a fallen tree?" Spike paused once more. "What if it breaks under all our weight?" Littlefoot wished Spike did not say that, because he could have sworn he heard the tree creaking from behind him. "Uh, oh." Spike cried, then Littlefoot discerned a snap.

Wait a second. That was a snap!

"Timber!" Spike shouted, which caused the others to look at him including Littlefoot.

"What?!" Everyone shouted in unison besides Ruby. Before Littlefoot could act accordingly, he gasped along with everyone else as the entire tree fell into the raging river. He disappeared beneath the surface, taken away by the current. When he resurfaced gasping for air trying to keep himself afloat, he heard Ali's desperate voice.

"Littlefoot!" Ali cried after a gasp, and Littlefoot watched her running beside the bank trying to catch him up. "Wait!"

Littlefoot tried all he could to stay above the water, but something yanked him back under. Holding his breath he pulled his hind foot free using the current to help, and reemerged gasping and choking for air once more. "Ali! Help!"

"I'm coming Littlefoot!" Ali shouted a little breathless, telling Littlefoot she was still running to keep up with him. "Try to reach me!"

"I can't! The current's too strong!"

"Use it to get closer to me! I'll grab you! I promise!"

"I'll save you!" A voice Littlefoot recognised called, but that was behind him and he could not turn himself around to clarify for himself.

"Ohhh!" Came Cera's signature groan, also from behind him.

Cera?! Littlefoot thought, now knowing she is fine. At least she is fine. But wasn't that voice Kodi's?

"Must I do everything myself!" Littlefoot heard Cera shout, but then everything drowned out from the raging sound that filled his ears, and the immediate reason as to why.

"Aah! No!" Littlefoot screamed, frantically swimming against the current as far from the waterfall as possible. "Falling water! Falling water!" Littlefoot screamed again, but then Ali grabbed him just when the current finally took him over backwards, holding him at the edge shouting with his tail held in her jaws.

"I've got you Littlefoot! I'll pull you up!"

Luckily he had managed to be close enough to the bank nowhere near the powerful current of the falls, but it did not help. Hung over the rocky ledge, all Littlefoot saw was the far drop to the lake at the bottom, and he covered his eyes in fright. "A-Ali! Please, don't drop me! It's a rather big drop! And so far down!" He was brought back to his senses when he heard Petrie's scream only a few moments later, and bravely uncovered his eyes to look towards the sound. "Petrie?" He tried to catch Petrie when he fell right in front of him, but despite the attempt to grab his foot with his mouth, he sadly missed. Now all Littlefoot could do was watch Petrie fall, unsure how Ali still had a hold of him. When he finally felt himself getting pulled back to the safety of the bank, he descried Petrie upside down getting carried away in another Flyer's talons. "Oh, phew. He's safe." To Littlefoot's surprise, Petrie looked relaxed and very submissive to say the least. But is he all limp and submissive? Littlefoot questioned in his mind, trying to understand. Hmm? Well there's no way I'll end up like him. What Mr. Clubtail had said to us, won't ever happen to me at all. But then. Ali made me blush before all this. Does that mean I'm already affected? Soon he felt his back sliding along the bank further from the waterfall, and he had never been so glad to be back on dry land, however, Ali's sudden cry bemused even him.

"Uh!"

"Ali? What's..?" Before he could finish his sentence or glance towards her, his tail was suddenly yanked on, dragging him down the side where Ali must have fallen too. Littlefoot gasped in fright, totally unprepared as he continued down the gentle to steep decline, screaming in surprise. He was unable to control his descent or stop, until he landed atop Ali below.

"Oof!" The pair shared in unison, then Littlefoot tried to stand but failed embarrassingly.

"Ooh, Littlefoot. Already?" Ali stated rather indecently, an otherwise inappropriate manner to how Littlefoot had always known her. She was not even fazed one bit that he was atop her in this suggestive way, on his front, snout to snout with her.

"Ali, I…" Littlefoot tried to get up, but slipped back atop her again in the exact same position. "Er… maybe if I…" He is silenced by a lick on his cheek, where he quickly blushed amidst a gasp.

"Stay a while. Please." She blinked her eyes rapidly at him, perhaps in a way to get his undying attention.

"Okay… How will we, you know..?"

"Oh, Littlefoot." Ali just laughed.

"Did I say something funny?" he questioned, kicking himself for how foolish he may have sounded. How could I be such a fool as to think that?

"Kinda. But I don't mind you atop me like this. It's quite nice, actually."

"But what about all our friends? What will happen if they see us like this?"

Ali looked around. "Well they're not here now, so stop worrying. There's nothing wrong with a little intimacy between us."

"But…"

"I like this though, Littlefoot. It's nice." She nuzzled him, coaxing an entirely unrelated reply.

"You're nice. And pretty, and perfect and…" What am I saying? At the same time as his thought, he feels Ali wagging her tail underneath his. "Huh?" He looks over his shoulder at her tail, watching it swish from left to right more rapidly now. "Em. What are you doing, Ali?"

"Nothing, well… maybe I'm doing something." There is a pause. "Today is just so perfect, and so are you."

When Littlefoot turned back to face her, hoping to ask her to repeat what he clearly wanted to hear again, all he received was a wet and smooth tongue along the scales of his face, and that tickled him. He blushed again, but was otherwise enjoying this very moment with her. "Ali, stop it. That tickled."

"Hmm? I see you liked that. I'll do it again." After her cheeky reply, she repeated the same action.

"Ali…" Littlefoot laughed casually, then rested his snout on hers once more, smiling joyously just gazing deep into her eyes. "Thank you, Ali, for saving me back there." And it is true. Today is perfect. Everything is perfect. Ali is perfect. Without even thinking, Littlefoot licked her on the neck and cheek. "I love you, Ali."

"I know you do, Littlefoot." They both shared a nuzzle, comfortably nestled in the col they found themselves in. "And so do I."

"We were more than nose to nose, Littlefoot," Ali states amidst a laugh, clearly remembering it too. "I mean. You literally fell atop me. I was never fazed though, not even if we were seen by our friends in that position. I wanted you there and then."

"But we were still immature then. And nothing to regret even if we, you know, actually did it. But luckily all our friends had their own matters to attend to that day. What Mr. Clubtail explained to us about love then well, I guess we all fell for it. And our moment together just, you know, happened."

"It was the time of the year. Nothing more. We all needed a rest from our trial practice."

"It was a trial between us. Heh. But sadly, none of our friends were happy that I didn't need to take part in a Time of Great Growing test. They were still tense and argumentative about it towards me."

"I wasn't, and I still had my test to do." Ali assures him.

"And I thank you for accepting. But I still had my own studies to take care of, despite the tests being postponed to the new year, because of the drought we had, and why Farwalking herds had left."

"I recall you mentioned you had been missing me since, once we were together again."

"I did miss you. I always miss you. And I loved that, what happened between us, happened. But now we are a family. And I want this to last for the rest of our lives." Littlefoot nuzzles Ali lovingly, and soon enough their three hatchlings join in, balancing themselves between their parents. It will take a long time, but Littlefoot shall wait for the day his kids reach their Time of Great Growing. For now though, he will enjoy all his futures with his family.
