It was a solemn evening where Sugilite and Opal are walking down in the abandoned Kindergarten, looking for shameful humans to kill and get served by the plate.

"Seems like the Kindergarten is getting settled than years ago," Opal stated in a low tone, "way too settled."

"I guess the humans are getting disciplined.", the taller woman responded. "plus, there are 'no loitering' signs across the area but that doesn't stop from damn Ghouls around here."

Opal hums, agreeing that the human society is more aware in avoiding strolling on the streets alone than before, including the rise numbers of CCG Agents in the vigilance world and technology.

The Giant women are looking for humans in a next few hour, until now there is still no sign of them.

"Oh dear," Opal sniffs, then clenches the bag, "I sense something...odd."

"You're not the only one, girl," Sugilite noticed the smell too, "it must be coming to that alley, not too far from here."

The two cautiously followed the scent that leads to the alleyway between the abandoned apartment and a looted household, but the end of the alleyway leads to another street with a bunch of dim streetlights due to lack of maintenance for years.

They walked towards a sidewalk at the other side and sees a silhouette lying. Upon close inspection, it was a decaying dead body with all black attire, long-sleeved shirt and khaki pants to cover almost the entire body.

But the left side of the face was bitten off, leaving the dead expression on the other side and half of the lower body's flesh was torn open and its insides were bitten off.

"Oh dear...", Opal cringes after she carefully observes the dead body long enough.

Sugilite clicks her tongue and mutters, "A ghoul, not a surprise."

Opal turns her head to Sugilite in confusion, "How can you tell it's a ghoul?"

"It's attire was related to one Ghoul Clan that I can't recall its name," Sugilite steps closer to the body and squints while staring to the bloodied shirt, "Shit, it's logo was covered with blood but the clan is new unlike the Aogiri and Anteiku."

The dark-skinned woman added, "I heard that clan are mostly in groups, so this ghoul is not alone since it's alive."

"Wait, there's a new Ghoul Clan like Homeworld Aogiri and Crystal Anteiku?" Opal asks, "I thought new Ghoul Clans couldn't last that long."

"The only reason I could think of is maybe it's way bigger than Aogiri." Sugilite assumes, "Not sure the other, but I guess the leader must be a former lieutenant in Aogiri to hold a new clan."

Opal nods in acknowledgement, "That explains the number of members for that clan to stay alive today."

Before Sugilite opens her mouth to reply, a subtle footsteps echo behind the two then the footsteps suddenly quicken its pace.

Opal quickly sidesteps in reflex while shouts, "Sugilite!-"

Sugilite swiftly turns around and caught a harsh kick from the ghoul. She pushed the ghoul off and stances as the ghoul stumbles between the two walls on the alleyway where the two came from in the first place.

Before Opal release her kagune, Sugilite seized her, "Wait."

They observed the ghoul carefully as the moonlight shines underneath the three ghouls.

It was a female ghoul due to her toned structure and the same height as Pearl, along with the attire of sky blue blouse but the long-sleeves were rolled up, and black slacks with dried blood stains, making her look like she's working from the office.

Her blue hair flows through the wind and her face was concealed with blue mask with it is slanted eyeholes, but her lower part of the face was exposed.

Sugilite quietly sniffs and mutters under her breath, 'She's strangely familiar.'

The Ghoul straightens her stance, "You must be Sugilite, right?"

As the two heard the calm stern voice, Sugilite's eyes widened through her dark glasses. "You..."

Opal's concern grew, "Sugilite, what's wrong?"

Sugilite ignores Opal and closes her fists, "A member of Homeworld Aogiri, is it?"

The Ghoul responded, "Not anymore." she grunts, "I was never part of them in the first place anyway."

"Is that so?" Sugilite's tension eases, "Then explain what you did 13 years ago where you and Rose Knight had a fight."

The Ghoul sighs, "To see if she's capable enough to stand a Clan," she looks up at the sky, "Judging from her abilities and strength, she must be a capable leader and I respect that."

Opal spoke up, "Any more statements to make us believe what you said?"

"Is not killing you unlike the other ghouls wasn't enough for my truthful statement?", the Ghoul questions and Sugilite raised her eyebrow in amusement.

"Huh, I guess nowadays your iconic surprise attack is just your thing?"

"If that's what you thought," the Ghoul turns around, but kept her serious tone, "then I don't mind."

"Wait!" Opal protests, makes the Ghoul tenses up a little.

"Who are you?" Opal asks, then turns her head to the dead ghoul underneath them, "And are you the one who ate this ghoul?"

The Ghoul slowly turns her head to Opal, revealing her blue irises through her mask.

"It's Seraph, and no."

After that, Seraph highly leaps off to the rooftop of the house then the following buildings.

"Why do you ask for her name when you can ask me for it?" Sugilite sasses.

"I rather get an answer from her." Opal noted, "And we still need to search for humans."

"Alright girl." Sugilite shrugs and the two continues the search.

"She grew up." Sugilite abruptly says, leaving Opal curious.

"Grew up? You mean Seraph, right?", the blonde asks.

"The last time I met her, she's kind of like the same age as Steven.", Sugilite stretches her arms and chuckles, "The last time I meant the attack thirteen years ago."

"I see."

Meanwhile in the distance, Seraph is watching the two ghouls by the rooftop of the further apartment like a hawk.

"I'm surprise the Crystal Anteiku is still alive." she says to herself, "I should've asked about Rose."

In a next morning, Steven arrives at the cafe early. As expected, he sees Opal by the counter except she is not on her barista attire.

"Morning Opal!" Steven happily says, "But why aren't you on a uniform? Am I missing something?"

Opal raised her head in surprise, "Oh, Steven! I heard you and the three needing our help for tomorrow, so we must prepare ahead."

"Does this mean the cafe is closed today?" Steven hurries to the counter and drops his belongings in embarrassment, "And how do you know about meeting my friend's parents?"

"One, yes because others aren't present here except us and the manager," Opal chuckles in thought, "the cafe must be a challenge to work on when it's just the three of us here."

The blonde added, "Two, Garnet called the manager last night and told us as me and Sugilite went home last night for hunting."

"Ohhhh, I see." Steven hums, "Does you and Sugilite find anyone last night?"

Opal closes the metal box with its padlock at front, "A quite few, but we're really worn off for almost an entire night in searching."

Before Steven asks more questions, the bell rings by the door as Garnet steps in, along with Amethyst and Pearl.

"Good morning Opal," Garnet casually greets, "You actually closed the cafe for us?"

"It was manager's decision, of course." Opal steps out of the counter to face the four, "I can see you guys are really serious about this, huh."

"I hope this doesn't disrupt your work routine, Opal." Pearl apologizes and Amethyst softly shoves the skinny woman, "Man, you're overreacting too much towards humans, can't believe were in this crap."

"Amethyst, that's enough." Garnet sternly stated, leaving the shorter girl huffs and crosses her arms.

Opal laughs in response, "Sorry for laughing, I haven't seen those two bickering for a while."

Pearl's cheeks flushed red, embarrassed, "I...hope this works out especially in front of Connie's parents."

The backdoor opens widely and everybody's heads turn towards that direction, seeing a tall woman with her teal hair tied up along her casual outfit.

"Oh, Alexandrite!" Pearl happily calls and the manager looks at the group in surprise.

"Didn't expect you guys to be early," she stated and leans on the doorway, her tall build leaves Steven in awe, "And Greg's not with you?"

The group leaves speechless while Steven turns to them confused, "You guys didn't bring dad along?"

"Crud, I forgot that he's human and he must've not known what's happening.", Garnet pinches the bridge of her nose in irritation.

"Damn Pearl, you forgot to text him?" Amethyst asks in a crude manner that Pearl herself, cringes.

"I never thought about it, and he's important for this too." Pearl strokes her short blonde hair to ease her stress.

Alexandrite on the other hand, just sighs, "I'll just call Greg to come here." She then walks off to the backroom.

Despite Greg is also working by the car wash, he comes by earlier since he used his van to drive to the cafe fast. After Steven explains to his father about meeting Connie's parents and their background, that leaves Greg speechless like the rest of the ghouls.

"Oh shoot, that would be complicated situation if you ask me." Greg replies, "I wish Connie told that your mom isn't...present that leaves only me meeting her parents."

"That would be a lie!" Steven defends, "I think that would be suspicious too since you're working at the car wash almost everyday and I was raised fine as it is."

"You're not wrong kid," Greg says then turn his head to the three ghouls, "but I guess its no choice but to come along as his aunts."

"Well, that would make her parents trust us more when we come along as Steven's extended family." Garnet added, leaving the rest nodded except Pearl who is contemplating.

"The problem is that were not just ordinary humans like them, and they're Ghoul Investigators for pete's sake!", Pearl sighs, "That's why we need Opal and Alexandrite's help for this, and your additional help would be appreciated too, Greg."

She turns her head to Greg who smirks in agreement, "Of course I would tag along! Not only for Steven but for all of us here in earning trust from other humans aside from me."

"Wonderful," Alexandrite claps one time to get everybody's attention, "I'm glad that you three are willing to fit in the human society, and it must be a bit hard for you especially a dinner night."

Amethyst sighs in defeat, "All this just for Steven, y'all."

Almost a whole day of teaching the three ghouls on how interacting with humans especially eating human food. Steven has no problem with it since he mostly goes out and interact most of the residents in Beach City, including the food trick since he practices it in spare time during breaks in the cafe.

Garnet is at the steady pace in learning since she is the one who mostly controls herself a lot and human interaction is no problem for her, but the challenge comes in human food. Practicing and listening to the baristas' tricks, the dark-skinned woman was able to improve.

Even Pearl is the one who is against in meeting Connie's parents in the first place, she was able to catch up in interacting towards humans and learning the food trick. She mostly spends half of the time containing herself from accidentally tasting the food while doing the trick. Overall, she feels confident for tomorrow.

Lastly, Amethyst was the most sluggish among the three, but she's trying. Her own style in interacting humans can change from being radical to seriously professional, but her main problem is the food trick; she lives for tasting the food whether its human food or not, she always ended up gagging most of the time. By the last hour, Amethyst is catching up and everyone is proud of it.

"Come on guys, cut that out..." Amethyst hides her face with her thick silver hair in embarrassment. Pearl pats her back in comfort, "We're genuinely proud that you finally got it, and adjust your stubborn nature."

"Knock it off, it isn't that special." Amethyst crosses her arms tensely, "Besides, all this is for Steven and only Steven!"

"What if I told you I want you to make human friends, Amethyst?" Steven cheekily asks and Amethyst sags her shoulders, "Then I'll do it since that makes you happy."

"Don't force yourself to do stuff that you wouldn't enjoy." Steven says concerned but Amethyst playfully shoves the boy.

"Hell, even after this whole practice and crap, I kind of wanted to know more about the humans not just eating them.", from that statement, it leaves Pearl being dramatically surprised.

"Of course, I expected that reaction." Amethyst stated unamused.

"We're glad you learn a lot for tomorrow, girls." Opal joyfully says, "Not only for tomorrow, or Steven, but for the days ahead in order to fit into the human society more as times had changed completely."

"I agree." Garnet hums, "We're getting way behind and its embarrassing that were like, one of the few ghouls who have the similar mindset."

Steven squeezes between them in a playful embrace, "I hope all things worked out tomorrow!"

Meanwhile…

"What? You killed her?!" a threatening alto voice shouted, leaving the two ghouls tremble in fear.

"B-But boss! She was very stubborn and didn't answer our questions!" The skinny ghoul responds.

"And our location is remotely exposed, s-so we brought her down after killing Doc-"

A large hand slams against the desk, creating a loud sound that silences the two ghouls. Dark green eyes give the ghouls a sharp gaze that would slice someone, and deeply hums in contemplation.

"First of all, you two are so bad at lying, I know your target won't be down that easily since she's a triple S ghoul." The voice stands up in a tall stance, slowly walks around the desk towards the two ghouls, who are wanted to walk off the room and flee, but frozen in place.

"Second, you two should've just disable her and brought her here." The figure stops walking and faces toward the skinny ghoul and leans down, "It appears your brain doesn't function on how to interrogate her, huh."

The skinny ghoul swallows, "Boss, we didn't thought about that first before we corner the target but we can try again soon-"

His reply cuts off as he felt a sharp pain, the ghoul slowly looks down and sees a scarred fist and white sleeve that has been stained by his own blood through his torso. The skinny ghoul looks up to the figure with dark green eyes staring down like a predator.

"I'm so disappointed at you, Moonstone. It's a surprise that a triple S ghoul didn't kill you from that night." The figure pulls out her fist, leaving Moonstone stumbling down and coughs out blood. He clenches to the massive wound and curls up in pain. The figure added while walking towards the larger ghoul besides him, "It's a shame that new recruits are more useless than Ghoul Investigators being helplessly tortured. Don't you agree, Granite?"

The larger ghoul clears his throat, "Yes boss. I told Moonstone that we need to discuss the plan first before attacking."

Moonstone growls, "Fuck you…" After that, his eyes rolled up showing his life faded away.

"I see, and from Moonstone's final words, I can tell that he doesn't take your logical suggestion in your mission.", the figure faces to Granite, "You are dismissed, you can go back to your usual tasks for the clan."

Granite bows, "Thank you, boss."

As the large ghoul walked out along with other ghouls dragging out the dead body and cleaning up the office, the figure looks out the window and cracks her finger with her thumb.

"I'll get you next time, Lazuli."

Author's Note: My apologies for leaving this story unfinished for the last 4 years, my interests and motivation changed A LOT and I look back to this, realized that many people seemed to liked this crossover. Hell, even the story itself interests me into finishing this (but this fic is hella long, and I'm happy that SU series is over so I can breathe haha).

So yeah, criticisms are hella needed and appreciated. I also try my best to re-write some of the chapters for my liking and other errors to fix.
