It was a dismal night, as Damon poured himself a shot glass of Bourbon. Things had been great so far. He and Kat had both survived recent dangers. They'd also gotten rid of John, stopping the council from attacking more vampires that didn't deserve it.

He took a few sips of his drink, before setting it down on his drinking table, sensing a presence. He then took a step forward, which was when he got pinned to a wall in a blur, but not by an enemy. Before him was a familiar blonde, much older than Lexi.

"Rebekah," he greeted. Then when she let him go, he asked, "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with Klaus, probably making it rain blood everywhere?" After all, she always did talk badly about Klaus.

"It's none of your business why I'm here. Can't a girl just stop by to visit an old friend? Unless you're worried I'm helping my brother find the doppelganger. Don't worry. I have no intention of helping him do anything of the sort. He can find his supernatural beings on his own," she replied and assured him. Then she added, "Now, how much did you miss me?"

He gave a smile, realizing Kat wasn't in immediate danger, nor would they be caught by Klaus right now. Though he was beginning to fall for Kat, the plus of being a vampire meant you could love two people in a century and get away with it. And he had missed Rebekah. She always made things fun.

After a moment, they began to make out.
