Bearhow bet I wouldn't post this before this weekend.

Your move, lightweight.

Also...cats.

"Daddy? Why are you wet?"

"…apparently mommy is still mad at me…"

"Oh…do you want a towel?"

Beast Boy shrugged. "Sure."

Emelia scampered off, leaving her soaked father sitting on the floor, his back against the wall opposite of Raven's door. The changeling had spent hours yesterday trying to figure out what he had done wrong and how he could apologize. Raven had stayed in her room for the remainder of the day, adamantly refusing to even acknowledge the distressed boy outside her door. It left him at a loss, both of ideas and words. He had royally screwed up and had no idea how or why.

When he had woken up some hours ago he was still quite distressed. He needed some way to make up with Raven. In desperation, he had gone to the internet for help. One of the most frequent answers to 'how to get a girl to stop being mad at you' was 'breakfast in bed'. It was worth a shot, so he had scurried as quickly as he could to the kitchen, shoving Cyborg out of the way so he could cook. It wasn't entirely too long before he had several waffles, a fresh cup of tea, and several strips of bacon ready for his irate crush.

Unfortunately, our friendly neighborhood shapeshifter has a nasty habit of putting his foot in his mouth.

"Come on Rae, you can't stay mad forever!" He had said to the unanswering girl.

Seconds later he was floating in the bay.

Apparently, Raven can stay mad forever.

Garfield sighed and dropped his head into his arms. Day two of whatever he and Rae had going on and it was looking bad. How was he going to fix this?

A sudden incursion upon his vision made him realize Emelia had returned and dropped the towel on his head. He took the towel, thanking her and rubbing himself dry. It wouldn't do anything for his clothes, but at least his hair wouldn't stick out so badly anymore.

"Daddy?" Emelia said. "Can we go to the park today?"

Garfield looked at his daughter, her little violet eyes shining eagerly. She undoubtedly wanted to go play there with Martin, they both loved the playground dearly. They didn't seem to care for the sandbox too much, but that was fine, Garfield never cared much for sand anyways. It was always itchy and scratchy and everywhere. He hated getting it in his hair most of all.

"Sure thing angel." He said, reaching out and ruffling her blonde hair. "Let me put some dry clothes on first."

Emelia squealed happily and took off, headed for wherever Martin was. Garfield chuckled to himself and stood up. The towel dropped and settled around his shoulders as he stepped close to Raven's door once more.

"Hey Rae…I'm gonna take Emmy to the park, okay?" He called out. She didn't answer, but he could tell she was listening. "We'll be gone for a bit so…if you need anything let me know, okay?"

"Okay."

It was a very soft answer, almost going unheard by the boy with enhanced hearing. He hesitated, almost disbelieving that he heard that. But it had indeed happened, so he smiled softly at the door. Maybe time was what he needed to fix things with Raven. When she was ready to talk, he would be there to listen.

He could still fix this and that was all he needed to know.

It wasn't until Garfield, Emelia, Robin, Starfire, and Martin had left that Raven left her room. Cyborg was still there, typing away on the common room computer, when she entered quietly. Because she had been brooding since the day before, she was starving. Unfortunately for her, she had zero cooking skills.

Raven opened the refrigerator, hoping to find something to eat. What she saw was mostly cartons of eggs, various drinks, a drawer full of vegetables, a tray for sliced apples and cheese cubes for the kids, some of Starfire's food (which winked at Raven, almost making her blast it), a half eaten tofu sandwich (she shamelessly took a bite of this, but it wasn't satisfying), various condiments, and a pack of garlic bologna. She wasn't fond of garlic, but her hunger overrode her taste preferences.

With a sigh Raven grabbed the pack of bologna and opened it. She used her powers to pull off the weird plastic ring on the edges and deposit it in the trash as she stood there nibbling on the meat. The garlic wasn't as strong as she thought it would be, which was good for her. And it smelled so gooood…

"Well, that's a first." A voice said behind her.

Cyborg watched Raven whip around, bologna hanging from her mouth and the pack of meat clutched protectively in her arms. Her eyes narrowed.

"Mine." She growled.

Cyborg raised an eyebrow. "I thought you didn't like garlic?"

"I don't." Raven said through a mouthful of food. "But I'm hungry."

The cybernetic man frowned and crossed his arms. "You coulda asked me to cook ya something."

She shrugged. "You looked busy."

"Eh, it was just some standard system upgrades. Nothing that couldn't wait." Cyborg said as he opened a cabinet and got some pans out. "Whatcha want?"

"Steak."

Cy looked at his little sister, who was standing there nibbling on another piece of bologna. He raised his only eyebrow once again. "You…want a steak?"

"Yes?" Raven replied, using her powers to replace the pack of lunch meat in the fridge. She then licked her hands clean of all the tasty meat juices, not minding Cyborg's confused stare. After she finished she washed her hands.

Cyborg shook his head and walked to the freezer. He did have some steaks that he was going to cook for dinner in a few nights, but making Raven one wouldn't hurt anything. He pulled it out and pulled the pack open. Taking the meatcicle in one hand, he used the other to open a curious device of his own design that would thaw out meat in minutes instead of hours. It was safe, clean, and environmentally friendly. He hadn't gotten a patent for it yet, but it was ready whenever he needed to do so.

Within minutes the machine dinged and the tray opened, presenting the young man with a thawed out twelve ounce steak. He took his time, soaking it in the various sauces he used and adding the appropriate herbs and spices. Within fifteen minutes he had the steak in the skillet cooking.

"Howya want it, Rae?" He called out to the girl behind him.

Her reply was instantaneous. "Rare."

Cyborg hesitated, casting a glance over his shoulder at his little sister. She was practically drooling, which was weird to see. Figuring she must be more hungry than he thought if she was like that, he shrugged and went back to cooking.

"So…you still mad at BB?" He asked nonchalantly. He heard a snort and couldn't help but chuckle. "I'll take that as a yes."

There was a silence between them, one that was comfortable and understanding. It was one of the unique one bonds between teammates and family and one of the ones both cherished the most. Most of their silences took place in the garage, where Raven assisted Cyborg in fixing his car. They would sometimes chat lightly about various things, but it was never a weighty topic, like supervillains or whatnot.

But it had been quite some time since their last talk and Cyborg wasn't going to let it slip by.

"I dunno what he did to piss you off, Raven, but he's been beating himself up since yesterday." Cyborg's big brother side was coming out now, his protectiveness of his siblings peaking. "You should forgive him."

"Mind your own business." Raven unexpectedly snapped. Cyborg, steak on a plate in his hand, turned towards her with a serious look.

"Not this time, Rae." He said firmly. "You want this steak, you start talking."

Raven glared at him, her eyes narrowing once more. Cyborg noted that her eyes appeared different than usual, but couldn't quite figure what it was. Her gazed dropped down to the steak and she stared at it longingly.

That's weird. Cyborg thought. Raven's never been one for a meat-laden meal. Why's she so fixated on this?

Raven suddenly sighed. "Alright."

Cy stood there and waited.

"Garfield and I…had a nice moment the night we got back." Raven said slowly, not looking at him. She stared at the table before her instead. "I genuinely enjoyed it and I think he did too. But…then he turned around and went to see her."

"Well, Rose is his girlfriend." Cyborg replied, dropping the plate in front of her.

"I know that!" Raven snapped, glaring up at him. "But it still hurt that our moment meant so little to him that he had to go see her!"

Cy raised an eyebrow. "You sure about that?"

Raven snorted and snatched up the steak with her hands. She bit down and viciously tore a chunk off, chewing in a noisy and un-Raven-like manner.

"Of course I'm sure." The empath said through a mouthful of steak. "I could smell that little whores' perfume on him."

Cyborg snatched the steak from her hands, pulling it up out of her reach. He eyed her sternly, angrily at that.

"Just because you don't like the girl doesn't mean you gotta call her nasty names!" He scolded her.

Raven stared up at him (and the steak) for a long moment before she sighed again and dropped her head. "Yeah…I know."

"Then why did you do it?"

"I don't know." She mumbled. "It's hard to think straight when I'm agitated."

"Well, then you need to calm the heck down." Cy scowled. "You're acting like a jealous and hormonal teenage girl."

Raven looked up at him, eyebrow raised and a Did you really just say that? look on her face. Cy didn't back down.

"Don't give me that look, you know what I meant!" He said, not dropping his scowl as he dropped the steak in front of her again.

Raven huffed at him, picking her steak back up and resuming her meal. Cyborg snorted at her and turned back to the stove to clean up. Minutes passed in relative silence, the only sounds being Cyborg's methodical cleaning of dishes and Raven tearing the meat apart and eating it. To Cy, it was weird. Raven was normally very easy to talk to; she didn't get mad easily, she was very reasonable, and actually discussed things. Right now she alternating between submission and aggression and it just didn't make sense to him.

"Ouch."

Cyborg turned around to find Raven holding a glowing hand to her jaw and glaring at the only remainder of the steak-a four inch piece of bone. He raised an eyebrow as he toweled his hands dry and tossed the rag on the counter. Did she just try to break it open with her teeth to get to the marrow?

Seconds later there was a cracking noise as the empath used her powers to rip the bone apart so she could greedily suck the marrow from it.

Cyborg watched, growing increasingly concerned for his little sisters increasingly weird behavior.

The marrow consumed, Raven tossed to fragments of bone onto the plate and began to lick her fingers clean once more. The meat had been delicious but now she needed to wash up before taking a nap. Somewhere sunny sounded nice.

"You okay?"

Raven looked up from licking the back of her hand where a rivulet of steak sauce had escaped. Cyborg was looking at her weirdly.

"Yes?" She replied before capturing the escapee with her tongue.

"You sure?" He prompted. "You're acting kinda…weird."

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

Raven felt her eyes narrow as she growled at him. "No, I am not! You're the one acting weird!"

He snorted again. "Says the one whose got her panties in a twist over another girl wooing BB."

Raven was up in his face (figuratively speaking, considering height differences) before he knew it.

"Maybe if that little trollop kept her hands off what's mine them maybe I wouldn't be so angry!" She snarled at him. Cyborg took a step back, startled. Raven had never acted like this before. Was her demonic blood getting possessive over BB because they had a surrogate kid? Or was it because she actually wanted BB to herself?

"I…wasn't aware BB belonged to you." Cyborg said slowly, trying to goad her into telling him more.

"Of course he's mine, you cybernetic twit!" Raven growled, her lip raising in a sneer. "He has a child with me, not her!"

"That's not quite how that works…"

"It does if I say it does!"

Cyborg stared down at the agitated girl before him. "If he's yours then why are you so mad at him?"

"Because he's too stupid to know he's mine!" Raven spat, her eyes starting to glow red. "Seriously, after everything we've been through-"

At this point Cyborg decided that he had had enough of this bizarre conversation, figuring that knocking some sense into her would set her head on straight. Fortunately for Raven, Cyborg didn't believe in hitting girls, especially his little sister. Unfortunately for Raven, the next best thing was quite jarring.

To put it simply, he reached over her, grabbed her by the cloak, lifted her up, and started shaking her senseless.

This lasted for five minutes exactly.

When he set her down, her legs were too wobbly to keep her standing, leaving the empath to fall back flat on her butt, narrowly missing the counter. Raven sat there, dizzier than she had ever been before.

"Wha…what was that for?" She said shakily, clutching her head.

"Depends." Cyborg said with a grin. "You thinking straight or do I need to put you on spin cycle this time?"

Raven carefully shook her head. "No…I think I'm okay now."

"Good. Now what the heck is going on?" He asked, holding is hand out for her.

Raven shook her head again and hoisted herself up with his help. "Not entirely sure. I wasn't thinking straight."

"I can tell."

Raven stood there quietly for a moment, lost in thought. Cyborg looked at her, waiting for her to start speaking. It took a few minutes.

"You're right, I do need to apologize to Garfield." She said softly. "He did nothing wrong whatsoever. In fact, he was so happy to see me, so absolutely jubilant, that I got a contact high from it as soon as he entered the room. It evaporated the moment that I detected that he'd been with Rose. I was so…agitated…I couldn't think straight at all. I just wanted to get away from the smell of her, the way it lingered on him. I felt…betrayed."

Cyborg raised an eyebrow once more. "Betrayed? You do know this is Beast Boy we're talking about, right? That boy ain't got a traitorous cell in his body."

Raven's hand came up and clutched her head and she let out a soft growl. "Yes, I do know. But it still…"

The cybernetic man sighed and put his hand on Raven's head, ruffling her hair. "Look sis, I dunno what's going on between you and the grass stain, but it's looking like a good thing. You two have grown up a lot over the past couple of years, opening up and talking to us. If you got beef with something he's done, you gotta talk to him. You two have been doing great for a while now…don't let it go to waste."

Raven let out a little sigh. "I really suck at talking to people."

"Only sometimes." Cy chuckled.

The empath gave him a small smirk. "Alright Cyborg. I'll talk to him. After I meditate and figure out why my temper shortened."

"Atta girl." He smiled before giving her a little hug, which she returned. She left right after that, leaving her big brother humming cheerfully to himself. He hadn't figured out why she was acting weird, but he had helped his best buddy.

Beast Boy was tired. Like, really tired. You'd think taking two kids to the park wouldn't be exhausting, but doing that and being a superhero was hard on the body.

He was tired because Johnny frickin Rancid is an idiot.

After having spent most of the morning and part of the afternoon playing in the park with the kids, the Titans had received a call that the maniacal mechanic was joyriding through town, knocking cars over, shooting up garages, and just being an ass in general. Beast Boy and Robin left the kids with Starfire and took off in pursuit of him. Cyborg had called in, asking of they needed his and Raven's help. The two had declined it, seeing as Johnny barely registered as a C rank villain. Beast Boy had taken the high road, flight, while Robin took the low road on his bike as they chased the criminal through town.

It took them three hours to catch him and it only ended because his bike ran out of gas.

Needless to say, they were less than pleased when they found him staring at his motorcycle like it betrayed him.

After that was the obligatory paperwork, clean up assistance, and transportation of the idiot to jail. And three hours of work. Beast Boy, who had done a considerable amount of heavy lifting during cleanup, now wanted nothing more than to lie down and sleep.

When the lot of them had finished up and returned to the tower, Garfield had immediately sent his daughter off to her mother for a bath. The little girl was pretty dirty and so was he. He got his shower and headed to the kitchen for a bite to eat.

"Shoulda let me come." Cy called out as soon as the changeling entered the common room.

"Yeah yeah." Garfield scoffed. Any of the Titans could take Johnny alone, it was his tech that was annoying.

His stomach growling, Garfield rummaged in the refrigerator for his tofu sandwich…which had a bite taken out of it? He frowned, pulling the plate out and looking at his food. Yup, definitely a bite. But who did it?

Pondering this, he chowed down. It alone wasn't particularly filling but he was more tired than hungry. He waved at Cyborg. "Early night for me dude. Dueces."

"Night BB." Cy replied. The changeling was barely out the door when his buddy called out again. "You owe me one!"

Garfield paused, looking back. "For…?"

"You'll find out."

Perplexed but too tired to care, the changeling left and headed to his room. When he got there he didn't hesitate to drop into the lower bunk of his bed. He didn't feel like climbing up top, his preferred sleeping spot.

He lay there in the dark for a few minutes, pondering the situation with Raven. He wondered how long it would take her to cool off this time. It had been quite a while since he had made her this mad, which he was proud of in a weird sort of way. He was slowly and surely getting this mysterious girl to open up to him. It was nice, she was just as amazing as he thought she would be.

He sighed in contentment, thinking of that kiss. Dude, that was so freaking aweso-

Knock knock knock

Garfield's head snapped to the door. Someone was there? Who the heck would want to see him at this…wait. Raven?!

He was up and at the door within two heartbeats, sleep forgotten. He paused only to straighten his hair and shirt, only to remember he wasn't wearing a shirt. He hoped Raven wouldn't mind, cause he didn't feel like rummaging for one.

He opened the door and found Raven standing there, a sleeping Emelia in her arms and a meek look on her own face. The empath was wearing a white T-shirt and rolled up shorts. They looked familiar, but he couldn't place where from.

"Um…hi." She said quietly, glancing down at his chest for a split second.

"Uhhh…hi?" Garfield replied in confusion.

"Um…it's your night with Emelia." Raven said, gently presenting the little girl to him. Garfield, who could have sworn it was Raven's night, decided to not argue. He took the girl and stood there awkwardly, as did Raven.

Strangely enough, it was Raven that broke the silence.

"Can I come in?"

Garfield stood there staring at her for a moment before his brain caught up with her question. He nodded and stepped back, one hand reaching out to dial his lights up a little bit.

"I thought switches were the standard for the rooms?" Raven asked, eyeing the dial curiously.

"It is…but I had Cy rewire it for this, that way I can have a little light if Emmy is sleeping." Garfield replied, gesturing her to sit on his bed. As she did so, he set Emelia down where he had been laying minutes ago. The little girl immediately curled up in the warmth.

"Your room…" Raven said quietly, contemplatively.

"What about it?"

"It's so…clean." She murmured, gesturing about the dim room. It was true, his room was, and had been, clean for quite some time.

"Uh…yeah?" Garfield was getting confused. Did she come just to ramble about random things?

"What made you clean it?"

"Emmy." Garfield said instantly. Raven looked at him curiously, which prompted him to explain. "It's one thing if I'm here in a dirty room. A lot of the animals in me can handle rough environments. I mean seriously, do you know how dangerous bat guano is to humans? How about that maggots feed on decaying flesh? The list goes on, Rae. I can handle all this stuff. But Emmy is only half me. I don't know what she can and can't handle, so its safer to keep my room clean for her. It took me a while to get used to cleaning frequently, but I'm okay with it now. I just miss the all natural smell I had going on."

This last bit he said with a cheeky grin, which caused Raven to give him a small wry smile.

"You continue to surprise me." She said softly, running her hand across the blanket. There was barely two feet between them and Garfield was starting to feel a little nervous. Raven was acting…odd.

"I'm sorry, Garfield."

Garfield's heart stopped for a second. Raven rarely apologized, so this was super serious! When he didn't answer, Raven continued.

"I'm sorry for yesterday. I was completely out of line by getting so…angry. You didn't do anything to deserve my snapping at you."

"Then…why did you do it?" Garfield asked, unable to stop himself. To his surprise, Raven blushed and looked away.

"I…well…its because…you know…we…" She mumbled. "And then you went and saw her…and that…hurt…"

The changelings eyes widened as he finally realized what he had done wrong. He carefully reached out and placed his hand on top of hers. Raven tensed up and he took this chance to clear everything up.

"Raven…I'm not seeing Rose anymore."

Raven's head slowly turned to look at him, a look of astonishment etched into her features. When she spoke, it was barely a whisper.

"Is it because of what I did?"

Garfield took his hand off of hers and used it to scratch the back of his neck. "Well…yes and no."

She tilted her head in slight confusion, so he continued on.

"No because, even though I was having a lot of fun with Rose, it wasn't a satisfaction that lasted. We always went out and did all kinds of stuff, but…it's not the same kind of fun I have…here." He hesitated, unable to bring himself to say 'the same kind of fun have with you'. It was stupid that he suddenly felt nervous. The girl he had been longing for wasn't pushing him away, she kissed him, and they were talking bout their feelings for each other. He could do this, he HAD to do this. "Yes because…"

Raven's hands came up to cover her face. "Azar, I knew I should have waited until you and Rose broke up naturally."

Garfield, surprised with this information, raised an eyebrow. "And if we didn't stop seeing each other?"

She shook her head. "I deliberately didn't think about that."

Garfield gave her a small smile. "Look, Rae, I'll be honest. I happy about what you did."

Her fingers cracked open just enough for her to peer at him. "You're…not mad at me for ruining your relationship?"

His smile widened a little. "Nothing was ruined, Rae. Rose and I are still friends."

"Just friends?" Raven asked, her embarrassment changing to curiosity.

"Yeah. Just friends." Garfield repeated.

"So…you're not going to come home smelling like her anymore?" Raven muttered to herself.

"Huh? What did you say?" He asked, unsure if he heard her correctly.

"Nothing, nevermind." Raven said quickly as she dropped her hands, needing to change the subject. "So…where does that leave…"

"Us?" Garfield suggested, feeling his excitement rising. Raven gave him a little nod and he grinned. "Where do you want it to leave us?"

Raven bit her lip (which was incredibly cute to Garfield) before speaking. "I was hoping…closer?"

A cheeky grin found its way on the changelings face before he scooted six inches closer. Raven raised an eyebrow but gave him a small grin.

"Are you always going to be a smart Alec?" She said teasingly.

"I'll be anything you want me to be if it keeps you smiling " Garfield replied instantly and without hesitation.

Raven's grin grew a little bigger. "Just keep being yourself then. You're doing just fine."

He raised an eyebrow. " I am?"

Raven nodded and started to answer but was cut off by a sudden yawn. Garfield chuckled.

"Guess it's past yer bedtime huh?"

Raven shrugged sheepishly. "I spent most of the day meditating. Its not tiresome, but its not exactly high in physical exertions. I'm more tired from lack of exercise."

"And here I thought I was the lazy one around here " The green boy chuckled. He then gestured to Emelia. "If you want, you can crash here. There's room there for you, I prefer the top bunk anyways."

Raven's eyebrow arched high. "Really? You don't mind?"

He shook his head. "Nah. I thought it was your night anyways."

"It…actually is." Raven said slowly, looking away once more.

"Oh." It was all Garfield could say.

A few awkward minutes passed before Raven let out an amused snort and gestured towards the door. But instead of the door opening, the dial turned down until it clicked off. Garfield sat there in the darkness for a moment, letting his eyesight adjust.

But before he could climb up to the top bunk, Raven leaned over and gently kissed his cheek.

"Thank you. We'll talk more tomorrow." She said softly before laying down next to Emelia.

On cloud nine once more, Garfield climbed up to the top bunk and snuggled under his blankets.

That apology went so much better than he thought it would.

"I'm certain you're a wondering why I called you." A dark voice said to his computer screen, speaking to the various figures within their own camera boxes.

"Yer darn tootin'!"

"I have many better things to be doing, Slade."

"Daddy! Are you talking to that creepy cyclops man again?"

"Yes Kitten, daddy's busy."

"ATLAS DOES NOT HAVE TIME TO PLAY GAMES WITH YOU, MERCENARY!"

"Oh dear, all you kids are so grumpy! Come, mother has some pie for you!"

"No way, you snot munching hag! You're not getting me with that again!"

"Now now, don't be rude to your elders or I'll have to magic something up to punish you!"

"Oh shut it, Mumbo! These duckies aren't scared of your parlor tricks."

"Adonis doesn't need to say that he isn't afraid of your silly magic, its obvious!"

"Jesus Christ, I put off robbing a jewelry store for this?"

"This had not better not last to the light of day, Slade. I'm in the middle of important research."

Slade leaned forward, his obsidian and pantone mask reflecting the screens light. He spoke low and quiet, his tone demanding the attention of all he had called.

"One million."

All the voices ceased speaking immediately, their owners attentions focused on the mention of money. Slade held up two pictures.

"One million, cash, unmarked bills, for the little blonde girl. Half that for the boy."

"Didn't know you were a pedophile, Slade." Adonis sneered.

The mercenary turned his cyclopian gaze on the armoured man. "Tell me, Adonis, do you wear the suit to make up for your lack of brain, your undeveloped body, or your complete and utter lack of testicles?"

Adonis's snarled response was drown out by the hoards of howling laughter. A dirty smirk under his mask, Slade leaned forward and hit a button. The window to the armoured man shut, effectively terminating any chance of employment.

Slade waited for the lesser villains to ceased their merriment before speaking once more.

"As I said, one million and half a million for these children. Questions?"

"Yeah." Red X asked, his autonomous voice failing to hide his curiosity. "What's the catch?"

"They are guarded by the Titans."

"Ahhhh, the Titans, eh?" Mumbo chuckled. "I think it might be time to teach those kids how to disappear!"

"For what reason do the Titans protect these toddlers?" Doctor Light asked.

"The children are my property and the Titans seek to keep them from me." Slade replied. There was no reason to divulge precious information to these criminals, especially Doctor Light, whose hatred of Raven rivaled his own.

Light stared at him suspiciously but said no more. The others appeared to have no other questions as well, so he cut the connections to all their lines. They knew he'd be watching.

Slade was always watching.

The first thing Garfield noticed when waking up was that he felt strangely heavy, almost like there was something on his chest. It was a rather silly thought, even for him, up until he realized that the scent of a particular girl was particularly strong.

Raven came up here for some cuddling?! Sweet! He thought to himself as he opened his eyes.

This was not quite the case.

He was indeed met face to face with Raven, but something was…off. She was laying on him completely, her head on her hands on his chest, her eyes half open and a rather strange look in her eyes. She smiled when she noticed he awoke.

"Good morning Garfield." She said warmly.

"Good morning Rae." He replied, trying to keep his mind away from the fact that not only was Raven laying on him, but that she was doing it first thing in the morning. Not particularly a good idea for girl to do to a guy unless she's looking to embarrass both of them.

"Did I wake you?" Raven asked softly.

Garfield started to answer, but he saw something flicker behind Raven. He tilted his head and saw what appeared to be a tendril of Raven's shadow magic flickering back and forth like a cat's tail. Weird, he thought as he turned his attention back to the girl on his chest. "Nah, but I did notice you were there when I woke up."

Her smile widened a bit. "That's good. I was enjoying this."

He raised an eyebrow as he smirked. "You are?"

She nodded. "Yeah…you smell really good."

Garfield's smirk gave way to confusion. "I what?"

Raven shifted, bringing her hands down beside him and looming over his shirtless chest. It took every iota of Garfield's control to not look at her chest as it jiggled above him. She shifted once more, leaning in to place her own head in the crook of his neck, her arms encircling his shoulders. She nuzzled his chin before burying her face against him, inhaling deeply.

Garfield was beyond confused at this rapid development. How had he gone from a goodnight kiss to early morning cuddles so quickly? Why did she say he smelled good? Was she aware of how much of her he could feel pressed against him?!

He opened his mouth to say something, anything, when he noticed several things. One, the tendril of magic was still there, rising up from somewhere near Raven's lovely butt. Two, there was something triangular on Raven's head, also made of shadowy magic. Three, Raven was…softly purring?

Wait, what?

Garfield looked closer at Raven. The triangles on her head were ear shaped and above her ears, the tendril was actually just above her butt like a tail, she was purring, and she said he smelled good. It was almost like she was…a cat?

And then it hit him.

Oh God. He thought in horror. Raven forgot to disconnect us!

When the scent of his fear hit her nostrils her eyes snapped open, her body tensed, and her pupils narrowed to feline slits. Garfield only had one thought as he looked into the eyes of a predator.

Oohhhhhhh shhhhhhhiiiiiii-
