TEN THOUSAND YEEAARRS WILL GIVE YOU SUCH A CRICK IN THE NECK!
Hiya folks, Foamys back! Sorry I was gone for so long, I had a nasty bout with writers block and took time off to deal with it. I got my head back in the game though and got this done fer ya!
Hm. I don't really have much to say this time, 'cept that MagsK is getting his wish for some Red X. Enjoy!
"Hey Rae…you okay?"
Hesitation, then a sigh. "Not really, no."
Garfield hesitated, then wrapped a comforting arm around her shoulders. Raven leaned into his embrace and softly sighed once more.
Today just wasn't her day. Not only was she dealing with her biological issue while being around people for the first time, but she was also dealing with the colossal headache known as Landon, king of demons. At present, the demon was sitting on the couch with Emelia sitting in his lap and he was telling her stories about his time in Hell. Watered down, barely child friendly stories, but stories nonetheless. Raven was anything but happy the man was still here interfering with their lives.
Her hand came up to pinch her brow. She had known of the existence of demons stronger than her father, yes, but she had always hoped she'd never meet one of them. To her knowledge, there were only five other demons in her father's category of Greater Demon Lord. One of them was Neron, but she didn't know the names of the other four and if she was lucky it would stay that way. What she had been unaware of is that Neron, Landon, and her father had all competed for the throne of Hell. Truthfully, she didn't know who was worse: Trigon the tyrant, Neron the schemer, or Landon, the self proclaimed businessman.
Wait, stupid thought. It was definitely Landon.
"Wot did yew do afta' that, Grandpa Landon?" She heard Emelia ask with a yawn, her little mimicked accent faltering. Raven glanced up at the clock on the wall.
Thank Azar for naptime! She thought gleefully to herself as she started to rise from her seat. She had chosen to sit a bit away from Landon and Emelia because every part of her screamed to keep her daughter away from the demon king. Landon seemed to know this because he kept the little girl enthralled with stories for the past couple of hours. Garfield had been uncomfortable with the situation as well, but Robin (who was as perturbed as they were) had insisted that they talk to Kid Devil, though Raven thought that was a silly name for someone that was supposedly twenty.
Raven hadn't really listened to the guy talk, but Garfield had while keeping one eye on his child. His body had been tense the entire time, more than ready to spring into action should things turn sour. His protectiveness was very reassuring to Raven, calming her down a little. Even while doing that, he had listened to the devilkin and relayed information to Raven. She had briefly pondered where he got this multitasking aptitude from, but she remembered him explaining strategy games to her once, telling her about all the things he had to keep track of.
It turned out that Edward Alan 'Eddie' Bloomberg, aka Kid Devil, was more like Garfield than anything. He cracked a few bad jokes, mostly at his own expense, asked about movies and games that came out while he was 'on vacation', and bragged about superhero stuff he had done before he died. He didn't say how he died though. Just that one minute he was stopping a mugger, the next he was in Hell. Garfield assumed he didn't know, which didn't matter to Raven. His aura was oddly clean of anything malicious or even dark, so she wasn't worried about him the least bit.
As for his powers, he could teleport in a flash of fire, his skin was two hundred degrees (though he had figured out how to lower it to normal temperatures), his tail was prehensile, he could breath fire, heal himself, and he had enhanced strength and endurance, though he wasn't positive of how strong he actually was.
That was all mildly interesting to Raven, but not as interesting as getting Emelia away from Landon.
"Naptime." Raven said as she promptly scooped up her daughter from Landon's lap. She expected him to protest, but there was an odd sense of nostalgia in his aura that vanished after a few seconds. She didn't bother listening to anything he had to say, she just pivoted on her heel and headed for the door.
"But mummy, I dun want to take a nap!" The little girl protested while yawning, losing her mimicked accent halfway through.
"Too bad." Raven said smugly. "And stop talking like that."
She hesitated a moment later, casting a glance over her shoulder and calling out, "Are you coming, Garfield?"
The changeling stared at her slack jawed for a moment before jumping up and dashing towards her and Emelia. Robin raised an eyebrow but said nothing. He had honestly figured Raven would leave to meditate before now, but now he figured her motherly instincts refused to let her leave Emelia with Landon. Her inviting Beast Boy to the nap was new too. The boy wonder's gaze drifted to Starfire, Martin in her lap. The alien girl had been immensely troubled by the appearance of the demon king, though she hadn't said a word since he arrived. What it was about him that bothered her Robin didn't know, but judging from the way she automatically assumed a fighting stance whenever he moved, it was safe to say that neither she nor Martin would go anywhere near him.
Robin also noted that Kid Devil watched the green guy and violet girl leave with their daughter, a wistful look on his face.
Curious. He caped crusader thought to himself. Now why would he have that expression? Perhaps I should look into this Kid Devil and his superhero career.
But that was a task for another time. Right now he needed to get these new Titans sorted and organized. Kid Devil's addition actually worked in his favor.
"Alright team, this is how we're going to do this." He announced, drawing the attention of everyone present. "Since Dakota City is originally Statics turf, he's the team leader. The only one who knows the area, and probably the villains, as well as him is Gear, but I get the feeling that Gear wouldn't want to lead."
"Woooah, no way dude!" The blonde guy shook his head. "I'm just a sidekick."
"No, you're a Titan now. There are no sidekicks here." Robin said firmly, ignoring Landon's snickering.
"Been there, done that. Moved on." Kid Devil chuckled, drawing questioning looks from the others. Robin, who didn't have the faintest idea of what he was talking about, reaffirmed his decision to investigate the red boy.
"Now, since there isn't actually a base built in Dakota City, one will have to be made. It won't be quite as big as this one, mind you, but that's because there wasn't any available land just outside the city to purchase and use like we did here and for Titans East. Your tower will be in city limits, so keep that in mind when battling. The less damage you do to it, the better."
"Where is the money for all this coming from?" Superboy asked.
"Each Titan team has a sponsor and a handler. In our case, it's Batman. In Titans East case, its Green Arrow. For you guys, Titans West, it will be a tad different. Superman is the sponsor since he has the finances to back it, but Black Lightning will be your handler."
"Of course he'd dip out like that." The Kryptonian grumbled. Robin wasn't sure what he meant by that.
"That's cool with me man." Static stated. "BL is one of my hero's."
Robin nodded. "He personally requested to be your handler, Static. He told Batman that you have a lot of potential."
Static beamed and high fived Gear as Miss Martian spoke. "Who all is on the team?"
"Superboy, yourself, Static, and Gear were the original team." Robin said, crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair. "But I have to send Cyborg with you to assist in constructing the tower too. It would have left me short here, but now that Kid Devil is here he can stand in for Cy while he's away. That also gives me time to…"
"Make me prove that I'm really a hero." Kid Devil finished for him. Robin started to protest, but the devilkin held his hand up to stop him. "It's cool dude, honest. I didn't trust me when I got my powers because of how I look and what happened, so I can't get mad at you for it. I didn't even ask to be brought back to life, Lord Landon just made the decision and informed me a while ago."
"Shush boy, it gives you a chance to find your old girlfriend." Landon snorted.
"That it does, Lord Landon. Thank you."
Landon shrugged and stood. "Happy employees are loyal employees. It's good business sense, after all."
Robin nodded. "Right. Now, when Cyborg gets back from Dakota City, Kid Devil will travel there to replace him, leaving you with a five man team, Static."
"Cool by me, Rob." Static nodded.
"Right, that means introductions!" Landon interrupted. Everyone looked at him oddly and he rolled his eyes. "I brought him here to be on your team Robin, but this will suffice."
Robin raised an eyebrow. "Why my team?"
"Ask Batman." The demon lord said with a small snort before ignoring the boy wonder and turning to his former employee. "Now Edward, let's me properly introduce you to your new teammates."
He gestured to Superboy. "Here's Half-A-Super Boy."
He pointed at Miss Martian. "This is Miss Makes-Green-My-Favorite-Colour Martian."
He waved his hand at Static. "This is Sparkles the Human Powerplant."
And then Landon paused while looking at Gear. He appeared to be at a loss for words. "And this is…eh, the other one."
"Hey! I have a name, ya know!" Gear shouted indignantly.
"Of course you do, Inspector Gadget, settle down." Landon said with a dismissive wave of his hand.
Gear traded glances with Static, unsure if that was supposed to be an insult or not. The black boy shrugged.
"Well, there you go lad. One new team, one new family." Landon said cheerily. Robin noticed Kid Devil flinch, causing the demon lord to become serious once again. "Yet another reason to find her."
The devilkin nodded. "Trust me, I will."
"Good boy." Landon turned to Robin now. "Well, there you go lad. One more Titan for your merry band of miscreants."
"Yes…thank you." Robin said slowly, still not believing Landon's sincerity.
Said demon frowned. "Suspicious little prig, aren't you?"
The boy wonder merely shrugged his shoulders in response. Landon snorted.
"Alright Bat Junior, I'm toddling off now. I have souls to reap, sins to sow, kittens to pet, and other whatnot to do. You kids behave. Don't do anything that I wouldn't do. Toodles!"
And with that, the demon king disappeared with not but the flickering of lights.
"Is it always this weird around here?" Superboy asked with a frown.
"I wish I could say no…but I'd be lying." Cyborg chuckled.
Robin looked around for a moment before he located Starfire, who had moved to the kitchen once more. Martin sat quietly on the counter as his mother prepared him a snack (a bowl of zorka berries). He stared at her thoughtfully for a moment before something occurred to him.
"Cyborg, do we have enough food for everyone?"
"Uh…" Cyborg brought his hand to his chin and rubbed it thoughtfully. "Not really, no."
"Starfire, would you go into town and do some grocery shopping? I want to go over a few things with the new team for a bit."
"Of course, my beloved." Star scooped Martin up and flew over to Robin. She gave him a kiss before she flew to a window, opened it, and departed.
"Awww, you and the alien girl huh?" Miss Martian said with a smile, putting emphasis on two words while shooting a glance at Superboy. He gave her a halfhearted scowl and looked away. Robin and Cyborg traded looks. Was there something going on between Miss Martian and Superboy?
"Yeah, Star and I have been together for a while now." Robin said a moment later. "The little boy, Martin, is a clone of us, found in the same place as Emelia."
"And you willingly adopted that…thing?" Superboy asked incredulously.
"That thing is my son." Robin said coldly, his relatively good mood evaporating instantly. "Watch your words, Connor. I know who you are and what you are, so I understand your feelings on such things. But other people don't know and it would be smart to keep your head down and mouth shut around them. They aren't as forgiving as I am."
"You think I'm scared of you, pipsqueak?" The bigger boy sneered. Robin was in his face before he realized it and he jumped back in surprise.
"You should be." Robin said calmly, coldly, before he turned and resumed his place before the other Titans.
"Can you go a day without making someone mad? Please?" Miss Martian asked Superboy as she grabbed his arm and dragged him back to the group.
Connor grumbled something under his breath, but kept his mouth shut as Robin began speaking once more.
"She's alone with the boy." A synthesized voice spoke into a communicator, signaling its cohorts.
"What? We don't want the boy, pit sniffer, we want the girl!" A whiney child's voice replied from the other end.
"Sometimes you gotta take what you can and come back for more, kid." The voice replied with a synthetic chuckle. He knew Gizmo would take to the idea of ambushing a lone Titan before he even reached out to the Hive Five for help. Those guys were greedy and always broke. Having someone like Red X help them get an easy payday was like a dream come true. They had been waiting for days for a Titan to go out in public alone. The fact that it was Starfire, with one of the kids, was a huge plus.
Of course, Red X wasn't actually going to help. He was just going to nab the boy during the chaos and get the hell outta there.
Easy money, he figured.
"Fine, whatever, butt munch. We're moving out." Gizmo snapped before he cut the call. Red X chuckled darkly to himself as he stowed the communicator in his belt and watched the show start.
He was on the roof of the mall, looking down through a skylight, when he saw the first sign of the attack. A laser beam, shot from See-More, hit the unsuspecting Starfire dead in the back. She was thrown forward from the force of it, the little boy in her arms screaming as he bounced across the floor. Civilians started screaming and scattered like cockroaches when the light came on. Two security guards rushed down a set of stairs and headed straight for the downed girl, only to be intercepted by a trio of Gizmo's rockets. The men were blasted away, their screams drown out by the miniature explosions. A loud rumbling filled the air as Mammoth barreled out of the food court, an uprooted stone fountain raised high above his head. He smashed it down upon the girl, only to find that she had bolted from the spot seconds before impact. She flew up into the air, her son in her arms and an angry green glow about her form.
Red X couldn't make out what she said to them, but it couldn't have been anything nice. Or in English, for that matter.
Oh, wait. She had her communicator in the other hand.
Crap.
Robin came to the conclusion that he was having one of those days. One of those days where he just wanted to get back in bed and forget the day even happened.
First he had to deal with the appearance of the so-called King of Demons, Landon. Arrogant to a T and more than willing to show off his power over them, it was more than a little patience-testing. The things had had said about Raven, to Raven, had pissed the boy wonder off to no end, though Raven and Beast Boy hadn't needed him to step in. That was good, 'cause he wouldn't have had anything nice to say.
Then there was that small spat with Superboy. Robin had no idea what the guys' problem was, but since he was a master at bluffing, he flustered the other guy enough to get him to shut up. Robin needed to find the real dossier on Superboy, not the superficial one Batman had given him. Something just wasn't right about Connor and he needed to know what it was.
But that was after he mauled the Hive Five for attacking Starfire and Martin.
"How dare they!" Robin seethed as he burst through the door to the garage. Cyborg was ten paces behind him and the new Titans were right behind him. He leapt on his motorcycle without waiting for anyone else to catch up.
Tires shrieked against concrete as he slammed the pedal down.
He nearly took his own head off with the garage door, but he didn't notice.
"Oh boy, he looks pissed." Kid Devil commented as he hopped in the passenger seat of the T-car. Cy jumped in and looked to the door, seeing Miss Martian carrying Superboy out, Static and Gear ahead of them.
Cyborg frowned as he looked at his passenger. "Can't you teleport?"
"I have no idea where I'm going, I've been dead for two years!"
Cy shrugged as he turned the car on and stomped on the accelerator. "Fair enough."
"Think we should tell Beast Boy and Raven?" KD asked before he was jerked back into his seat by the sheer speed of the car. They raced past the other Titans, who picked up their own paces (not that anyone would catch up to Robin).
"Only if you want Rae to go demon on them." Cyborg snorted. "Poor guys wouldn't stand a chance today."
"Demon? Whaddaya mean?"
Cy glanced at his passenger, lone eyebrow raised. "Landon didn't tell you? Raven is half demon. Her father was Trigon."
KD's eyes got huge. "Are you serious?!"
Cyborg chuckled. "Super serious. Don't piss her off."
"Noted."
"Well, this is going well." Red X mused from his elevated perch.
Starfire, hovering ten feet in the air (just out of Mammoth's reach), was in a dire situation. She was constantly being attacked from every side, whether it was Gizmo's rockets, See-More's lasers, debris thrown from Mammoth, or teleported strikes from Kyd Wykkyd. Private Hive was standing ready to jump her as soon as she dropped, as was quite a few of Billy Numerous's copies. Hopefully they would drop the remarkably resilient alien before her friends arrived. The boy, sobbing in her arms, was shielded from the attacks by Starfire's body, but he had a small gash on his forehead.
Red X pulled out his communicator, intending to tell Gizmo to go all out and end this already, only to barely hear the crunch of gravel behind him. He whipped around instantly, his hands coming up defensively, palms open to use his X weapons if he needed to.
What he found was a girl wearing black chainmail armor with orange markings on it, a black and orange bandana covering the top of her face, and two katana's strapped to her back. Long white hair flowed from under the bandana and two pretty blue eyes stared back at him in amusement.
"Who are you?" He asked, spreading his stance a bit. Fighting someone with swords was a lot different than fighting someone with superpowers or utility weapons.
"Name's Ravager." The girl said with a grin. "Slade's apprentice. I'm here to deliver the kid if someone gets him."
Red X relaxed a little. "And the money?"
Ravager's grin widened. "You get the money as soon as I get the kid."
The secretive thief stared at her for a long moment before he fully relaxed and turned back to the skylight. "You'll get the kid soon, real soon. Look."
Ravager sashayed over, her hips swaying side to side in an alluring way that wasn't lost upon Red X. The reflective lens on his mask gave her no indication that he was eyeing her fine figure as she leaned over the ceiling window and gazed down at the fight below.
"Robin's here." She remarked.
"What?!" Red X snapped his head away from her and refocused down below him, seeing Robin's red motorcycle burst into the area with a loud crash of glass. He didn't hesitate to run his bike straight into Mammoth, vaulting up and over the gargantuan man and throwing a trio of birdarangs at Gizmo. The boy yelped as he dodged two. The third one clipped his arm, sending him spinning into the floor. Robin landed right amidst a cluster of Billy's, his hands and feet lashing out and sending several sprawling. Quicker than the eye can follow, he whipped out his telescopic bo staff and cracked several more heads in rapid succession.
As the Billy's fell away, Robin backflipped straight up and over Private Hive, who was coming up behind him to grab the boy wonder. Robin planted both feet into Hive's back as he came down, pushing away and sending the militaristic villain headfirst into the pile of enemies. Robin's flip brought him higher up into the air, where he grabbed Kyd Wykkyd's cape and jerked the surprised shadow-jumper out of his own portal. Robin hit the ground and rolled as Kyd hit the ground with a pain filled grunt. The caped crusader immediately whipped around, staff jabbing out to catch Kyd in the stomach and knocking the air out of him.
There was a roar behind him and he turned halfway, braced his feet, and caught Mammoth's charge with his shoulder. Using the bigger man's own size and speed against him, Robin shoulder flipped Mammoth right on top of Kyd Wykkyd, who gasped right before impact.
Robin slowly turned to See-More, who was staring at him in shock. A trio of birdarangs seemed to magically appear in his free hand as he swept his staff behind his back. He took one step forward as See-More started backing away quickly.
"Don't come any closer!" See-More shouted as he focused his laser eye back on Starfire. He glanced back to find Robin right in his face. The cyclops only had time for one shriek before Robin sunk his staff into his gut, winding him, and the trio of birdarangs he hadn't even seen thrown cracked into the back of his head.
He was unconscious before the last echo of his scream faded.
Robin glanced over his shoulder at the groaning villains before he darted over to Starfire. She floated down into his arms and buried her face in his shoulder as Martin clung to his father, crying.
"Are you okay?" Robin asked softly, stroking her hair.
"I will be fine, beloved." Starfire replied. "They are after our bumgorf."
Robin's mouth became a tight line and Starfire could feel the barely contained rage in his trembling body. Before she could reassure him, a nasally voice spoke up.
"Just give us Slade's kid, warts-fer-brains, and we'll leave." Gizmo sneered, his backpack whirling out his four trademark spider legs and raising him up in the air.
"I will give you my son over my dead body." Robin said coldly as he released Starfire and whipped around to find most of the villains back on their feet. Starfire placed her hand on his shoulder and leaned over to his ear.
"You are getting much skas tonight for that one, beloved." She whispered.
Despite the dire situation, Robin smiled. Maybe today wasn't so bad after all.
Mammoth roared and charged once more. Robin shifted his stance as Starfire flew backwards, away from the fight, Martin crying for his papa in her arms. The boy wonder knew he would never out-muscle the giant man, so he had to-
WHAM!
Robin blinked in surprise as Mammoth was sent bouncing across the floor, thrown an easy twenty feet from the newly arrived Superboy's strike. The Kryptonian boy cracked his knuckles and neck as Mammoth struggled to his feet.
"That hurt, punk." The giant ginger snarled, rubbing his jaw.
Superboy grinned wickedly. "Oh, you can take a hit? Good. I needed a new punching bag."
And then all hell broke loose as Static, Gear, and Miss Martian joined the fight
Meanwhile, two blocks away…
"Oh come on!" Cyborg shouted, honking his horn at the car in front of him who was refusing to turn right on red when there wasn't any traffic coming.
"Christ, it's like I'm back in New York City." Kid Devil grumbled.
"Maaaaan, forget this!" Cyborg spat before he hopped out of his car and slammed the door shut. Before Kid Devil could ask what he was doing, the cybernetic man picked his car up over his head and ran to the sidewalk. People darted out of his way as he ran towards their destination.
"I don't think this is legal!" KD shouted as he bounced up and down in the seat, trying his damndest to buckle his seatbelt.
"I'm not driving on the sidewalk, I'm running while carrying something!" Cyborg shouted back as he effortlessly hopped over a startled stray dog.
"I'm not feeling so good with all this bouncing!"
"YOU THROW UP IN MY BABY AND YOU AND ME ARE GONNA FIGHT!"
"Well, this is lovely." Ravager said sardonically, leaning away from the skylight before she was noticed.
Red X stepped away from the window and walked to the nearest AC unit. With an aggravated shout, he slammed his fist into it.
"Idiots! All they had to do was take one kid and I would have had a huge payout!"
"You're really okay with stealing a child and giving it to Slade?" Ravager asked quietly, drawing his attention. Something about her tone was unsettling, so he turned to gaze at her. She appeared thoughtful, her hands held loosely at her sides.
"Money is money, no matter how it's gotten." Red X replied, his cold tone evident even in his synthesized voice.
"And here I thought you might have been a smart one." Ravager sighed. "That's a shame."
Before Red X could ask what she was talking about, an unbelievable amount of pain erupted in his back. He staggered forward, or at least he tried to. Looking down, he found the tips of three blades sprouting from his chest. All three had punctured the same lung, filling his mouth with blood with the first gasp he made. He was shoved forward hard enough to dislodge the blades and he hit the ground like a sack of potatoes. Spitting up blood into his helmet from his rapidly filling lung, he turned his head enough to find a girl, with black hair, a green kimono, a cat mask, and a pair of foot long tiger claw blades, standing right where he had been moments before.
"Shit." He muttered. "Cheshire? Great. Just great."
The crunching of gravel in front of him drew his eyes upward to find Ravager looking down at him, her blades drawn.
"Too bad, so sad, little man. Looks like you won't be playing Robin Hood anymore." She said as she raised a blade up. Red X reacted instantly, his hand snapping down to belt as hitting the teleporter. He vanished in a flash of light.
Ravager merely grinned again before she dropped a katana and snatched up a throwing knife from a hidden sheath. She whipped around, launching the dagger into the air. When Red X reappeared, he staggered as the blade sunk into his back.
"That belt is pretty predictable, X." The assassin laughed. "It always sends you some feet away in whatever direction the helmet is pointing."
Red X cursed and hit the teleporter again. He needed to get out of there fast, his lung was filling with blood to the point where it oozed out the six holes in his body. He warped to the next room over and looked back to find both girls in mid vault between the two. He cursed and looked down into the narrow alleyway between the sections of the mall branches. A sewer grate was there. Not sanitary, but he might be able to get away there. He hit the teleporter once more and warped by it. He dropped to a knee and found that he didn't have the strength to lift the heavy iron lid.
A clatter sounded overhead and he looked up to find both assassins running down the wall. He cursed and hit the button again, warping himself back onto the roof.
Figuring that he bought himself a few minutes, he took a single step forward and heard a jangle. Looking down, he found that he had stepped into a looped chain.
"Shit!" He shouted as the chain suddenly wrapped around his foot and went taunt. He was jerked back, foot first off the roof. He tumbled past Ravager and Cheshire, who had impaled the wall with their weapons and hung there to halt their descent. In Ravagers free hand was the other end of the chain.
Red X hit the ground hard, more than a few bones breaking upon impact. His synthesized voice cried out in pain, but it was unhearable over the din of the battle inside. The thief tried to get up, but he didn't have the strength.
He reached for his belt, only to have Ravager drop onto his stomach.
He knew she ruptured organs, but it was the sword she planted into his chest that told him that he wasn't escaping this one.
"Why?" He asked, knowing he was dying.
The armored girl knelt above him, reaching behind her back and revealing a high caliber handgun. She smiled as she put it to his helmeted head.
It was a beautiful smile that matched her murderous eyes.
"Because I hate Slade more than you love money." She said to him softly before she pulled the trigger.
"Was this necessary?" Cheshire asked as Ravager rose up.
"Of course it was." The other girl replied, nudging the dead guy. "You heard him. Money is all he cared about."
"So, what, you want to off the others too?"
Ravager nodded. "If I can, yeah."
"You're going to some crazy lengths to make sure your father doesn't get a new apprentice."
"I'll do whatever I have to, kill whoever I have to, to make sure no one ends up like me, Joey, or Grant." Ravager replied, replacing her pistol behind her back. She then took her sword and quite cleanly removed Red X's head.
"Why did you do that?" Cheshire asked as she walked over to the sewer lid and knelt down. Ravager joined her and together they lifted it. They set it to the side and drug the corpse over there and dumped it in.
"It's been a while since I decapitated someone. I missed it." The other girl replied, shoving her foot under the head and throwing it up like it was a soccer ball. "Now, let's see who this guy was."
Cheshire took a step closer as Ravager removed the helmet to reveal a young man's face. She peered at it. "Hm. No idea."
"He kinda looks like the local fence for stolen goods, a dude named Mags or something." Ravager said thoughtfully before tossing both items into the open sewer. "Eh, either way, a dumbass is a dumbass."
It was just after they replaced the sewer lid that a massive black shadow flew overhead. They heard breaking glass and the sound of some very unmanly shrieking seconds later.
"Raven's here, let's get the hell outta here before BB shows up and catches our scent!" Ravager shouted as she took off running in the opposite direction. Cheshire was right on her heels.
"He wouldn't know our scents if you didn't fool around with him, Rose!"
"Shaddup Jade, if I want a boytoy I'll damn well get one!"
"Isn't that how this entire mess started?!"
"Not the point!"
A/N: And THAT, kids, is what happens to the dirty little heathens that suggest RaeRedX to the BBRae fandom. I'm very aware that that wasn't very nice, but I have ZERO issues with brutally murdering a character in a story just to make a point
Mkay? ;)
