Laura's Revenge

part eleven:

"Mark of the werewolf; Another?"

While John was busy mauling Mitch to death, Gloria reunited with her friend Grace and was about to tell her about John being her real father and the Moran family being her adoptive family, only to find out that Grace already knew about half of it and was told the other half by Sharon. After that, the two girls talked about relationships and illegitimate children. Meanwhile, John mauled Melinda and a teenage couple to death and Willow and the others fled, Freddie headed back to the hospital where he was introduced to Grace. What will come of this? How long will Gloria be incapacitated? Find out!

(Flashback to part ten)

Freddie arrived, signed in, and got a visitor's pass, before heading to Gloria's room. As he stepped in, he knocked on her door.

"Oh, hiya, Freddie." Gloria waved to him.

"Hi, Gloria." Freddie smiled.

"Freddie, this is my friend, Grace. Grace, this is my boy-I mean my friend, Freddie." Gloria introduced the two.

"Hi." Grace said.

"Nice to meet you." Freddie replied.

(Now)

"Gloria, where did you two meet?" Grace asked.

"We met at my front door to be exact." Gloria said in a matter-of-fact way.

"It's all too complicated and too long to go into detail, but, let's just say that we are the target of a man named Vic Lyman. He killed my father, her adopted family, he wants revenge on Capt. Sharon Raydor, Gloria's mom, and he has been stalking her father, John Bradley. We're trying to get him, before he gets us." Freddie summed it all up.

"Uh huh. Gloria told me about that and to be honest, I really don't think revenge is the answer." Grace shook her head.

"You sound just like Capt. Raydor. No offense." Freddie said.

"None taken. I like Capt. Raydor. She's a nice lady. She told me about Gloria's origins, which I have already figured out by putting two and two together, and she told me that Gloria was in the hospital due to injuries. It was only when I met up with Gloria that I found out that she had been raped. I want them to throw the book at that bastard for raping my friend." Grace had a firm look on her face.

"Oh, they all will pay for what they did. Gloria wasn't only raped, she was nearly killed by two bastards. One of them had raped her father just earlier in the day." Freddie cracked his knuckles.

"That's sick!" Grace shuddered and grimaced.

"You know, I just thought of something." Gloria raised her eyebrows.

"What?" Freddie asked.

"What if I have Lyle's child? I'm not so sure I could love something that was a product of rape." Gloria sounded as if she was having doubts.

"Oh, Gloria, you're not thinking of-" Freddie immediately feared that Gloria was considering having that "certain procedure" done.

"Freddie, you don't have to worry, because, she grilled me on that earlier and to be honest, neither of us condone that." Grace affirmed.

"Thank God." Freddie breathed a sigh of relief.

"You should know me better than that by now, Fred." Gloria was surprised and disgusted at the same time.

"I'm sorry, but, it's just that I've heard so many girls saying that, that was a form of birth control and a solution, when clearly it is neither." Freddie shuddered at the mere idea of it.

"I second that." Gloria raised her hand.

"I third it." Grace put a thumbs up.

"You third it?" Gloria had a weird look on her face.

"Well, you said second and third is after second, so yeah." Grace nonchalantly pointed out.

Gloria couldn't help, but, roll her eyes and chuckle at what Grace said.

"Wow! I barely meet Freddie and just reunited with Gloria and already, I feel like I am fitting in." Grace was a little shocked and amazed at the same time.

"Just wait until you meet her dad. Then, you'll really feel comfortable and like you're on our team." Freddie said with a smile.

"Yeah, but, don't get too comfortable." Gloria quickly shot that down.

"Why not?" Grace looked at her in confusion.

"Because, once I get out of this hospital, we're picking up right where we left off and truth be told, I don't want to put you in any danger." Gloria had concern in her voice, but, determination in her eyes.

"Gloria, we're best friends and we always did everything together. I don't understand what danger I would be in." Grace was confused.

"Yeah, but, I must do this alone with my dad and Freddie. Out of good conscience, I can't put you in harm's way. If anything were to happen to you, I'd hate myself for the rest of my days." Gloria massaged the sides of her head with her index and middle fingers.

"Gloria, nothing will happen to me. I mean this Lyman fellow doesn't know who I am and surely, he wouldn't send an armada on someone he doesn't know. I'll be fine." Grace tried to reassure Gloria.

"Yeah, those are the usual famous last words." Gloria sounded pessimistic.

"Gloria, we made a pact to always stick together, no matter what. Remember our best friends forever promise? Well, I'm keeping mine by sticking by your side." Grace stood her ground.

"But-" Gloria was cut off.

"Gloria, she does have a point. I mean after all, a promise is a promise." Freddie tilted his head to the side for a moment.

"But-" Gloria paused.

"Breaking a promise is something that is irreparable." Grace reminded her.

"Yeah, but, you see-" Gloria was interrupted.

"And your dad is a man who keeps his promise and has made sure that we kept ours. Do you want him to find out that his daughter didn't keep a promise to her best friend?" Freddie gave her a warning look.

Gloria's eyes widened upon knowing that her dad was a man of many promises and a stickler on keeping them and how he might react to her breaking a promise.

"Well?" Grace waited for an answer.

"OK, fine you can stick around, Grace. Just, for the life of me, be careful and mindful of your surroundings." Gloria reluctantly agreed to let Grace stick around, despite her own objections.

"I promise." Grace made a cross over her heart and chuckled, "Your reaction to your dad possibly finding out about you breaking a promise was priceless!".

"Like you wouldn't have the same reaction, if it was your dad, Grace." Gloria shot her a glare.

"I think we all would have a similar reaction of parents finding out we did something we weren't supposed to." Freddie nodded.

"Agreed." Grace and Gloria said in unison.

"Excuse me, I hate to interrupt, but, Miss Bradley needs her rest." a nurse walked in.

"No no, Nurse, I'm fine. Really." Gloria protested.

"Miss Bradley, you really need to rest now. They can come back tomorrow." the nurse put her hands on her hips.

"Wouldn't I be tired if I needed to rest?" Gloria tried to sound like she was protesting, but, instead, she sounded like a petulant child.

"Miss Bradley, it is not open for discussion or debate. Mr. Smirnov and Miss Barret can come back tomorrow. Besides, it is getting late and you need your meds." the nurse pointed at the clock.

"I can take my meds later. Also, it is not that late." Gloria folded her arms.

"Gloria, we'll come back tomorrow. It's no sweat." Grace stood up from her chair.

"Yeah, we'll be back. Don't worry." Freddie also stood up.

"No, guys really, it's-" Gloria was cut off.

"Miss Bradley, it's 9:00 at night. It is getting a little late." the nurse tapped her foot like a typical mother would while she was waiting for a good explanation.

"Pssh! I go to bed at 11:00 P.M. or even 3:00 in the morning. 9:00 P.M. is too early!" Gloria sassed.

"Gloria, do you think it is a wise choice to be arguing with the nurse?" Grace gave her the "really?" look.

"Yeah, do you want your dad to find out that you argued with a nurse?" Freddie folded his arms and tried to remain serious, despite the fact that he was holding back laughter.

"You wouldn't." Gloria shot daggers at both of them.

"No, we're just teasing you. Take a joke." Grace clapped her on the shoulder, before walking out.

"Night." Freddie said, before he followed Grace out.

Gloria turned to the nurse and shot even more daggers at her. The nurse stared right back at her, still tapping her foot. This stand-off or stare-off lasted for a few minutes until the nurse let out a sigh.

"Miss Bradley, I have just about had it with your sassiness. Please, just take your pills and get some rest like a good girl." the nurse sounded like she was pleading.

"Hmmm? Let me think real hard...uh..No!" Gloria folded her arms and turned away from the nurse.

"OK, suit yourself. I'll leave the pills on your tray. Take them whenever you are ready. I'm not going to stand here and argue with you all night." the nurse put the cup of pills and a cup of water on Gloria's tray.

Gloria, out of pure petulance and sassiness, silently mocked the nurse.

"Do not mock me. I don't accept that behavior." the nurse went to leave, only to turn back at Gloria, "I'll know whether or not you have taken the pills and if your behavior doesn't improve, I will inform your daddy. Are we clear?".

Gloria sarcastically gave a thumbs up and after the nurse left the room, she did the "Bras D'Honneur" gesture, before letting out an elongated sigh.

The Next Day

Out in the forest area, John woke up a little dazed, trying to figure out what was going on. However, that question was answered when he saw blood all over himself and footprints; He instantly knew what took place last night and let out a sigh, before going off to a nearby pond and cleaning off the blood and dirt as best as he could. Then, he headed to the exit of the forest and went off home.

As soon as he reached his house, he grabbed the bag of clothes Freddie left at his doorstep and went inside. Once he got his clothes on and straightened himself up, he grabbed his car keys, got into his car, and drove off to the hospital.

At the hospital

After arriving to the hospital, John signed in, got his visitor's pass, and headed straight to Gloria's room. However, the minute he got there, a very peeved nurse walked out of the room and bumped into him. It just so happened to be the same nurse from last night. John was very surprised to see such a look on someone who was supposed to be compassionate and caring.

"Um, Nurse, is this my daughter's room or did they move her?" John clearly didn't like the look on the nurse's face and hoped he had the wrong room.

"Are you, Mr. Bradley?" the nurse asked.

"Yes, I'm John Bradley." John nodded.

"Well, this is indeed your daughter's room. Her name is Gloria, right?" the nurse sighed.

"Yes. Is there a problem?" John was getting a bit of a bad vibe from the nurse, upon noticing the foul mood she was in.

"Let's just say that your daughter is a very bad little girl!" the nurse went to walk away, only to be stopped when John grabbed her arm.

"What do you mean "very bad little girl"?" John was confused.

"She sassed and argued with me last night when I told her visitors they needed to leave, because, it was late. Once her visitors did leave, I told her to take her meds and she refused, so, I left them on her tray and when I turned my back, she flipped me off. I didn't know that until another nurse told me. Now, I go in and her meds are still in the cup, completely untouched. She sassed me again and flipped me the bird this time! I told her that I'd tell her daddy if her behavior didn't improve and obviously, her behavior hasn't improved." the nurse was starting to seethe.

"She's never behaved that way, beforehand. Well, I'll have a "little chat" with her. She might be grouchy due to her surgery and the traumatic events she went through. I mean you have to understand, she was raped and that can do a lot of trauma to someone. Plus, she's been in the military, so, maybe she was having a PTSD episode." John was trying to sound reasonable, despite clearly not being amused with Gloria's behavior.

"I don't care if she's been locked in a dark closet for a few nights or physically abused, there is no excuse for her behavior and her flipping me off and flipping me the bird!" the nurse huffed and puffed.

"Aren't those the same thing?" John was thrown off by what the nurse just said.

"No, because, the first time she flipped me off, she did the "arm of honor" gesture and then today, she gave me the finger." the nurse walked off, only to turn around for a brief moment, "Oh yeah, I also meant to tell you that her eyes also changed color for a moment and she sprouted her claws at me!".

John's eyes bugged out for a moment, as he knew that the claws and the eye thing only meant one thing; Gloria's lycanthropy was starting to advance and there was no turning back now. Anyways, he opened the door and walked inside.

"Hey, dad." Gloria smiled the moment she saw her father.

"Hi, Gloria. How are you feeling?" John pulled up a chair and sat next to his daughter.

"Better now that you're here and I won't have to put up with that bitch of a nurse." Gloria said with a lot of sass, clearly showing that she wasn't crazy about the nurse.

"Yeah, we're going to have a little chat about that." John started.

"Oh, she did throw me under the bus, didn't she?" Gloria snarked.

"Gloria, I can neither confirm nor deny it. Anyways, what's this attitude you've been having with her and flipping her off twice, what's that about?" John rested his chin on the palm of his hand.

"Dad, she's annoying!" Gloria sounded like a whiny teenager.

"I don't care how annoying she is or how annoying you may think she is. You don't refuse your meds and you don't act that way, at all. She's only trying to help you get better." John chastised her.

"No, what's she trying to do is give me a headache. I mean the way she kicked Freddie and Grace out was just beyond ridiculous. I mean 9:00 P.M. isn't late!" Gloria protested.

"Who's Grace?" John asked.

"She's a good friend of mine from school. You'll love her, dad. She's very nice." Gloria said.

"That's good. However, just because the nurse made them leave is no excuse for you to act the way you did. You have to remember, the hospital rules are much different than yours or even mine. Yes, we go to bed whenever we like and we're used to that and yes, the hospital bedtime rules are different than ours, but, still, just go with the flow until they discharge you." John had a firm tone in his voice, almost sounding like a strict dad laying down the ground rules to his teenage child.

"How about I leave against medical advice? I hate it here!" Gloria sassed, again.

"Don't start your sassy tone with me, Gloria. I'm not the enemy and neither are any of the doctors and nurses at this hospital. How about you do what I tell you and go with the flow? Also, how about you take your meds?" John waved his finger at her.

"What if I refuse?!" Gloria sounded like a teenager who was willing to test their parent by any means.

"So, we're gonna go that way?! OK, if you don't change your attitude, listen to me, and take your pills in the next 10 seconds, I'll forcefully put those pills in your mouth and hold your mouth shut until you swallow them. Then, I'll go out there and tell the nurse that we need five minutes, then come back in here, shut the door, sit on your bed, and we'll have a "long discussion"." John warned her.

"A long talk, huh? That doesn't sound too bad!" Gloria shrugged and sported a smug grin.

"Doesn't sound too bad? Let's just say that you might have to eat standing up for a few weeks!" John gave her a slight hint.

"Oh please, I-Wait a minute! You don't mean? I mean, you wouldn't really-You're not serious!" Gloria was hoping that her dad was kidding around.

"Oh, I am serious. I'm deadass serious. You can say that I'm as serious as the bombings as Hiroshima and Nagasaki." John looked her dead in the eye.

"Oh my God! You are serious! Wait, you can't do that! Can you?" Gloria's eyes got big for a moment.

"Oh, I can and I just might." John gave her a warning glare.

"That sounds awful!" Gloria didn't like the sound of that.

"Trust me, it's no picnic for either the punisher or the punishee, but, it is a proven method that works. Your grandfather did it to me and sometimes, he still does, on occasion. I mean if it wasn't the "long talk", it was the slap to the back of the head. Both methods do work, but, my father and I tended to have the "discussion" more so than the headslap, as it worked and it shaped me into the person I am today. Sure, it is painful and it should only be used by a caring parent, not an abusive one. If it wasn't his hand, it was either his belt, the strap, the paddle, the switch, the ruler, the brush, or on some occasions, the carpet beater. I tell you, Gloria, the carpet beater is way worse than the other instruments I listed. Hell, your grandfather broke a few of them on my backside, as they were wooden. However, the metal ones hurt way worse than the wooden ones. Hurts my backside right now, just talking about it." John shuddered at the mere remembrance of his "discussions" that ended with the usage of the carpet beater.

"Grandpa still has those "talks" with you?" Gloria had a hard time believing her father would let anyone do that to him, considering he had his "no nonsense hot-headed tough guy image" to hold on to.

"On occasion. I, in turn, have had those "discussions" with Olivia, Mandy, Sara, and Jane. You and I have yet to have that "discussion" and I mean, yet. You're not immune to it. I wasn't and neither were your aunt and uncle, who you have yet to meet. However, the "discussion" can be avoided, if you cooperate. So, why don't we do that?" John grabbed her cup of pills and held them right in front of her.

Gloria stared at the cup with such disdain, as she hated the bitter taste of the pills and she was one to do things on her own terms. Nobody could tell her what she could or couldn't do...or so she thought.

"You know, Gloria, I would really hate to have that "discussion" in the hospital where God and everyone could see. Again, it is your choice, but, if you want to be spared of the humiliation, then I suggest you take the pills and quit arguing with the nurse. Just leave your bullheaded personality at home." John gave her another warning.

Gloria, not wanting to be humiliated at the hospital and willing to do anything, so, her dad wouldn't have to punish her, reluctantly took the pill cup from his hand and swallowed the pills. Afterward, she sat there, turned away from her dad, and sulked.

"Oh, don't sulk, Gloria. It's not that bad." John patted her knee.

"Easy for you to say, you don't have to take those wretched pills. Bleah!" Gloria looked back at her father and her eyes changed color, again and this time, her teeth were replaced by what appeared to be fangs.

John stopped in his tracks the moment he saw her eyes change color and her fangs. He didn't like this at all and despite knowing that he told her about contaminating her blood with his and having the urge to tell her about the slight changes in her appearance, he knew he couldn't just flat out say it.

"What's the matter, dad? You look as though you saw a ghost or something?" Gloria was surprised to see that look on her dad's face.

"Nothing's wrong." John lied.

"Dad." Gloria gave him a look.

"No really, I'm fine. I-I just thought I uh saw a spider." John sounded a bit jumpy, which was unusual for him.

"What? Where?" Gloria looked around everywhere for said spider.

"Gloria, I said that I thought I saw one, but, I didn't." John reassured.

"So, we're both arachniphobic, huh?" Gloria nodded.

"You said it, I didn't." John replied.

"Dad, admit it." Gloria clearly wanted her dad to admit that he had arachniphobia.

"Admit what?" John asked.

"You have arachniphobia." Gloria persisted.

"OK, I admit it. It's a little embarrassing when you're a man." John was embarrassed to admit that he had arachniphobia.

"I have arachniphobia, too. Also, musophobia, too." Gloria grimaced at the thought of spiders and mice.

"Musuphobia, too? Then, we aren't alone." John put his feet on his chair.

"Dad, there's no mice running on the floor." Gloria tilted her head to the side.

"Don't jinx it." John grimaced.

"Don't jinx what?" Freddie walked in.

"Yeah, don't jinx what?" Grace also walked in.

"Oh, just in time. Grace, this is my dad, John Bradley. Dad, this is my friend, Grace." Gloria introduced her friend and her dad to each other.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Bradley." Grace extended her hand for a handshake.

"Likewise." John shook her hand.

"Hey, Freddie." Gloria turned to Freddie.

"How are you-" Freddie stopped in his tracks when he also noticed Gloria's slightly altered appearance.

"What's the matter with you?" Gloria didn't like the look on his face.

"N-Nothing. I just I saw a...um...a bug on the wall. Yeah, that's it." Freddie covered up the fact that he saw Gloria's different colored eyes and fangs.

"Uh huh." Gloria didn't know whether or not to believe that story.

"You know, Gloria spoke highly of you, Grace." John told her.

"Wow! That's a surprise." Grace was astonished.

"What is?" Gloria asked.

"You spoke highly of me and as I recall, you never spoke highly of me, beforehand." Grace smirked.

"I have too and get that smirk off your face!" Gloria refuted what Grace said.

"Actually, you never have or I just can't recall it." Grace still had the smirk on her face much to Gloria's chagrin.

"Most likely, you can't recall it, because, you might have the first stages of alzheimer's." Gloria snarked.

"Nope, my memory is great. You never spoke highly of me." Grace shot back.

"Oh, give me a break." Gloria rolled her eyes.

"Are we fighting?" Freddie asked.

"No, we're having our usual banter." Grace chuckled.

"Yeah, who said anything about fighting?" Gloria raised an eyebrow.

"Sounded like fighting to me." Freddie tried to suppress any laughter.

Gloria gave him her "really?" look and followed it with a sigh.

"You always give that look and follow it with a sigh, too." Grace quipped.

"Are you going to stand here and a make list of what I do? Because, I can name a few things you do, like getting that super adhesive glue all over your hand and getting it stuck to my hand." Gloria got a little peeved just remembering that incident.

"Oh, would you drop that? We're free." Grace rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, but, you literally thought that stuff was edible." Gloria shook her head.

"I didn't know it said super adhesive glue. I thought it said candy glue or something." Grace tried to find a way out of that one, despite knowing that it was impossible.

"Candy glue? Really?" Gloria made an annoyed sound.

"Yet, you've never let me hear the end of it." Grace pointed out.

"Because I was stuck to you and it was a stupid move. Plus-" Gloria was cut off, yet again.

"Children, please! You two could murder each other, but, where would that get you?" John was clearly getting annoyed with the back and forth between Grace and Gloria.

"Sorry." Grace looked at the ground for a moment.

"Yeah, Grace, there's only room for one easily riled girl and that's moi. Also, you have something on your nose." Gloria motioned for Grace to lean down closer to her.

"What?" Grace asked.

"This!" Gloria rapped her on the nose.

"Ow! What's the idea?" Grace rubbed her nose.

"This." Gloria poked her in the eyes and bonked her on the head.

"Ow! Oh, I can't see! I can't see!" Grace kept her eyes shut.

"What's wrong?" Gloria asked.

"I had my eyes closed." Grace opened her eyes and snorted.

Gloria, out of annoyance, slapped her on the back of the head.

John and Freddie couldn't help, but, laugh at that, as it reminded them of "The Three Stooges".

"What's the idea of the physical abuse?" Grace started to laugh at the last part of that question.

Gloria, despite trying to stifle any laughter, started laughing hysterically.

"Is this reserved for "The Breakfast Club" or can anyone join in?" Sharon stood in the doorway.

"Come on in, Sharon." John tried to compose himself.

"What was going on in here that made all four of you laugh?" Sharon pulled up a chair and sat next to John.

"Gloria and Grace having banter reminiscent of "The Three Stooges"." Freddie also tried to compose himself.

"Anyways, how are you feel-" Sharon, also noticing Gloria's slightly altered appearance, got a little bug-eyed.

"You OK, mom?" Gloria looked perplexed.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be?" Sharon sounded a bit jumpy.

"Because, you sported the same look that dad and Freddie did just moments ago. Are you sure you're all fine and there's nothing wrong?" Gloria was getting suspicious.

"Yes, I'm sure." Sharon clearly lied.

"So are we." John and Freddie said at the same time.

"Well, I haven't seen any-" Grace stopped in her tracks when she looked at Gloria and saw the changes.

"Not you, too!" Gloria did a facepalm.

"Huh?" Grace played dumb or atleast tried to.

"You're looking like my mom did just a minute ago. Are you alright?" Gloria folded her arms.

"I'm fine, really I am." Grace fibbed.

Gloria opened her mouth as if she was about to say something when she accidentally knocked something off her night table. She bent down to pick it up, her hospital gown was slightly lowered, revealing a slight part of her chest.

John didn't think anything of it at first, but, once he got a close glance of Gloria's chest, much to his horror, he saw that she indeed had the pentagram on her chest. His eyes got big, once again, as he gasped and put his hand over his mouth. Everyone, Gloria included, turned to his direction and sported confused looks.

"What? What? What?" Gloria was alarmed.

"Uh...Sharon...can we step outside for a moment, I think we need fresh air. We'll be back Gloria." John said, before stepping out of the room, almost immediately.

Sharon followed him and shut the door behind her. John was muttering "Oh my Gods!" and breathing very heavily.

"John, what's the matter?" Sharon put her hand on his shoulder.

"Sharon, do you realize-did you see what I saw?" John's breathing got faster.

"John, take it easy. Take it easy. Slow your breathing and then ask me again." Sharon tried her best to calm him down.

"Oh dear God! There's no denying it, now!" John managed to calm himself, despite the feeling of horror still being present.

"There's no denying what?" Sharon waited for an answer.

"Her lycanthropy. Remember?" John started.

"Yes, I remember, but, I tried to put it out of my head." Sharon told him.

"Did you see what I just saw?" John massaged the sides of his head with two of his fingers.

"No, what did you see?" Sharon shook her head.

"I saw the-the-" John had a hard time saying it.

"The what? What did you see? Something evil?" Sharon persisted.

"I saw the..." John paused and took a deep breath, "The mark of...the beast on Gloria's chest.".

"The mark of the beast?" Sharon was thrown for a loop.

"Yes, the pentagram. Remember?" John continued to massage the sides of his head.

"Yes, but, like I said, I tried my best to put it out of my head." Sharon reminded him.

"Even a man who is pure at heart and says his prayers by night..." John started to recite the poem from the 1943 film "Frankenstein meets the Wolf Man".

"May become a wolf when the wolf bane blooms and the moon is full and bright." Sharon finished the poem.

"Now, Gloria is going through the same ordeal I went through. I have the mark of the werewolf on the same part of my chest that she does. My eyes did the color changing thing, my wounds healed up almost immediately, and I had claws and fangs already growing. Now, so does Gloria and-and the worst part is...I did this to her!" John put his face in his hands, as the feeling of guilt started to overpower him.

"David, it's not your fault. You did what any loving father would do. You gave her blood and that saved her life. Don't blame yourself for anything." Sharon rubbed his shoulder.

"How can I not blame myself?! My blood was contaminated and now, I contaminated her blood." John shook his head.

Meanwhile, back in Gloria's room

"You know? I just thought of something. Freddie, I think you know what it is, but, Grace, you'd think I was crazy." Gloria put her index finger on her chin.

"Well, humor me, what is it that you may think that I think you're losing it?" Grace was curious.

"Grace, you ever heard of "The Wolf Man" or "An American Werewolf in London"?" Gloria started off.

"Are they the ones with Henry Hull and Oliver Reed?" Grace asked.

"No, David Naughton is in "An American Werewolf in London". Great transformation scene! Lon Chaney Jr is in "The Wolf Man". Anyways, Bela Lugosi bites Lon Chaney Jr and he turns into a werewolf, as the curse is passed on. Chaney killed Lugosi after he was bitten, then Chaney became the wolf man and went on a spree. In David Naughton's case, he and Griffin Dunne were in Northern England and they were on the moors on the night of the full moon. They run from this thing that's growling at them and when Naughton falls down, Dunne goes to help him up, only to get killed by the beast. The monster attacks Naughton, Naughton survives, and Naughton becomes the monster and so on and so forth." Gloria explained in a nutshell.

"OK, but, what does this have to do with anything?" Grace was utterly confused.

"Well, many years ago, my father had the same thing happen to him and he has lived with this curse for decades. Yesterday, I lost a lot of blood and required blood for a surgery. So, my dad being the wonderful person he is, decided to give me his blood, as we have the same blood type. Apparently, he had forgotten that he had lycanthropy and now, he has passed it on to me." Gloria took a deep breath after saying all of that.

"Gloria, you and your dad know that werewolves don't exist. We all know that they are old folklore and urban legends." Grace wasn't buying it.

"Well, how about I tell you this little poem: "Even a man who is pure at heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolf bane blooms and the moon is full and bright."." Gloria recited the same poem her father recited moments ago.

"Oh c'mon, that's the poem from "The Wolf Man" and you didn't even recite it correctly." Grace scoffed.

"Oh really, wise guy? How does it go, then?" Gloria glared at her.

"It goes: "Even a man who is pure at heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolf bane blooms and the autumn moon is full and bright.". That's how it goes." Grace recited the poem correctly.

"Everybody's a critic. Still, I recited the one from its 1943 sequel "Frankenstein meets the Wolf Man", so there." Gloria said with her usual snark.

"Anyways, I fail to see what either film or any werewolf film has to do with you and your dad." Grace shifted the subject back on Gloria and John.

"You fail to see? You fail to see?! Seriously, do I have to spell it out for you? We have Lycanthropy. Look, what happened to characters David Kessler and Larry Talbot, happened to my dad in real life and through a blood donation, it happened to me. Come the next full moon, I will go through the metamorphosis." Gloria explained or atleast did her best to.

"Well, as an open minded skeptic, I'll just have to wait and see for myself." Grace told her.

"Grace, believe me, you do not want to see the transformation take place." Freddie chimed in.

"You saw a transformation take place?" Grace turned to him.

"Yes, I witnessed her father transform into his werewolf form last night and I only briefly saw it begin a few nights ago when we were interrogating our suspects, including the prick who raped Gloria. Let me tell you, the transformation is horrifying and horrendous." Freddie grimaced.

"I honestly d-" Grace was cut off.

"Grace, just watch either "The Howling" or "An American Werewolf in London" and you'll see what we're talking about. Just imagine those transformations taking place in the real world." Gloria suggested, hoping that if Grace watched any of those movies, she would believe them.

"OK, I'll give them a try, but, I might still be skeptical afterward." Grace nodded.

Outside of Gloria's room

Sharon had just left after receiving a call from Provenza informing her of mutilated bodies by the numbers near an abandoned mansion-like place and into a forest-like area. John immediately knew that they were about to identify Mitch, Melinda, the teenage couple, and three collage aged boys whom he mauled during the hours of the full moon. This gave him a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach.

Meanwhile, at the front desk, a dark-haired woman walked in and asked for someone. Once she was informed that the person she was looking for, was here in the hospital, the woman signed in, got her visitor's pass, and headed to wherever she was going. It wouldn't be long until she bumped into John.

"Oh, I'm sorry, mister." the woman said.

"No, no, it's OK. It was my fault. I should seriously watch where I'm going." John laughed a bit.

"Do you know where room 117 is?" the woman asked.

"You're almost there. You visiting someone?" John asked.

"Yes, but, not only am I visiting, I am also reuniting with a long lost relative and I was told that he was here." the woman looked at the ground, clearly showing she was nervous.

"Oh, who might that someone be?" John was curious.

"My biological father. His name is...John." the woman said in a very somber tone.

"John who?" John looked a bit alarmed.

"John Bradley. I'm his daughter, Sidney." the woman replied.

John looked as if he was hit by a stun gun, as he never knew that he had fathered another child. He knew that he lost his virginity to Sharon when they had that drunken one-night stand back in the day and that surely this Sidney gal couldn't be Sharon's. She just couldn't be Sharon's child with him, because, he only remembered doing it once with Sharon and three times with Elaina.

"I hope he accepts me into his life." Sidney looked sad.

"Sidney, you don't have to look further." John lifted Sidney's chin with his index finger, so, that way they could make eye contact.

"What do you mean?" Sidney's eyes glazed over.

"You found him." John smiled.

"D-Dad?" Sidney asked.
