Winter Ravette has had more near-death experiences and attempts on her life than she can even begin to count. Truth be told, she lost count around the first time her mother told her about the ones she was too young to remember. With the Ravette Family being more powerful than ever before, more people than she'd like have tried everything to stifle that power and success by killing her. In short, Winter has gotten used to almost dying.

The most recent attempt on her life is by far, the second most traumatizing one, but nothing–not even the Nomu–has compared to the pain she felt eight years ago; emotional, mental, and physical.

So, she can understand how worrying it is to everyone around her–save those who know her and what she's been through–when she doesn't really react to her severe injuries or the retold story of how she flatlined three times on the operating table. Though, a simple "It's much better than I expected" was probably not the right answer in this situation.

Ringo pinches the bridge of his nose and sighs heavily, shaking his head. Momo refrains from rolling her eyes, but she does sigh, unsurprised by Winter's answer.

"B-better than you–better than you expected?" The nurse repeats with a quickly paling face. The other people in the room–mostly heroes and her classmates–stared at her incredulously, some paling too.

Winter hums distractedly, inspecting her bandage covered hands. "Well, yes. I don't think anything could be worse than having one of your bones forcefully ripped out of your body without ripping off the limb while you're still awake and completely aware. And then that bone used to stab you through the chest."

"W-what?" The nurse squeaks out. She places a hand over her mouth to try and stop herself from throwing up.

"From what I could tell, the doctors here did a wonderful job," Winter gives the nurse a kind and polite smile, "but I would like for the rest of my medical care to be transferred to my personal doctor, Dr. Cross Shay. That reminds me–"

"I already notified your mothers the moment I was able to use my phone. Dr. Cross should be landing in three hours. Auntie Whisper still has business with President Xióng Chuntao, so she won't be able to be home for another couple days. Fujita is on an incredibly important two week business trip in Russia with Willow. Whitney–with Auntie's permission–is currently in an international press conference, but will be back in about an hour. Wren-chan is taking a nap in the waiting room. And don't worry, Fujibayashi-kun is watching over her," Ringo says, stepping forward and handing Winter a tablet.

"This is my schedule for the week?" Winter clarifies as she unlocks the tablet.

Momo nods, sitting down at the end of her cot. "I have scheduled a press conference three hours from now for you, three scheduled public sightings over the course of this week, and I have pushed back all business meetings, except the top priority. Saturday and Sunday are free. The next schedule is what you will be doing for your healing process."

"And school?"

"Nezu-Sensei has closed school for the next week to upgrade the security system, so an incident like this doesn't happen again. And given you need to let your arms heal, I scheduled this week off from physical work." Momo gives her best friend a stern look. Winter smiles softly and nods her head.

"I understand, Momo-chan. Thank you," The white haired teenager says softly, gently placing her hand on Momo's.

Winter glances up and smiles at the nurse again. "Will you be able to tell me when I will be checked out? I hope it's before Sunday. I have a family dinner to attend on that day."

"O-oh–um, I'll go–I'll get the doctor..." The nurse leaves the room as quick as she can, still looking green. Winter blinks in surprise, frowning slightly.

"Is she alright? She doesn't look well..." Winter trails off in worry, making Ringo roll his eyes.

"I don't think she's met a patient that will joke about the gore of the torture and injuries they went through, Winter-kun–or how they called the injuries from being literally crushed by a monster like a stress toy, "better than expected" and not being bothered at all at being told they flatlined three times," Ringo says with a small shrug. The white haired teenager feels her cheeks redden slightly.

"T-torture?" Izuku says with an incredibly pale face. Winter jumps slightly in surprise, she forgot so many people were in the room with her.

"Well, being internationally famous since you were born isn't exactly all sunshine and rainbows the entire time," She comments easily. "It's a price many wealthy families have to pay if they make enough enemies."

Ringo's phone rings, interrupting the tense atmosphere. "Excuse me." He leaves the room.

"Anyways, how is everyone else? Was anyone else injured?" Winter changes the subject with a worried frown.

"Only All Might and Midoriya-san, but they were completely fine within a day," Nezu answers cheerfully, making the white haired teenager sigh with relief.

"What a relief. When the villain, Kurogiri, separated us all, I had feared the worst," She says with a small smile.

Nezu hums and gives a small bow to Winter, a smile for once not on his face. "As principal of UA High School, I sincerely apologise for the more harm than good attending UA has given you. If transferring to another school is your decision in terms of education and protection, I will be happy to give recommendations. UA has failed to protect its students. I have failed." Winter giggles softly and gives the talking animal an incredibly kind smile.

"I accept your apology, Nezu-Sensei. I also forgive you, and UA. You had not foreseen villains gaining enough arrogance to attack a credible and prestigious hero school. No one–seeing the future types excluded–could have foreseen that. While UA has gotten... arrogant themselves, I do not blame the damage to me on anyone except the villains who have given them to me," Winter's smile turns into a frown, "which is that monster–that Nomu, and the villainess, Famine."

"And the others with Famine," Winter adds mentally. She turns to Momo.

"Momo-chan, please tell Ringo-kun that Pestilence is coming, and that he has no need to apologise to me and I will handle my mother and my sister if they decide to blame him," Winter says calmly, making Momo pale slightly.

"H-he's–he's coming? But–how did they find out so quickly? America doesn't even know that you're attending UA yet!" Winter places a hand over Momo's hand and squeezes it.

"There was always a chance they would know before the public was told." Winter stares at her tablet. "This just answers the question of how they knew about so many things."

"W-what are you two talking about?" Ochako asks nervously. Winter glances up at stares at her class–and the adults who didn't know–for a few moments before sighing.

She doesn't sugar-coat it. "The reason why I had moved to Japan wasn't because I decided to attend UA last minute. It was because villains were close to assassinating me and it was decided–for my protection and for my family's–that we would move to Japan. The public doesn't know of this attempt on my life and it will stay that way until the villains that are after me are either apprehended or killed."
