As Dr. Destiny's elevator opens to the lounge of the TCF, Gary Green stands tall and salutes him. Originally, he was a buffoon who could barely do anything except show unwavering loyalty to his superiors. A flawed man that Destiny corrected.

"Welcome to TCF Headquarters sir," Gary greets him professionally. "Ms. Sharpe awaits you in the command center."

"Lead the way," Destiny says.

Destiny follows Gary, treading through the hallways that are somewhat new to him, only ever seeing this place in the Book. The interior with its clean floors, white seats, and medium sized rug initially gave the impression of an ordinary office building. As they walked deeper, other agents salute, bow, or greet him with, "Greetings, Dr. Destiny!" He can see training simulations and education centers focused on instilling devotion to him, as well as hatred for the Red Arrow, who Destiny dubbed "Universe Destroyer."

The narrative is that the Universe Destroyer is a being similar to Satan. Ruthless and cunning, his very purpose was to destroy all life. The story also went that only Dr. Destiny could tame or kill the Universe Destroyer, destroying the major obstacle standing in Dr. Destiny's way. For the most part, it ensured total domination. But still, resistance persists. After Destiny takes down Red Arrow, it won't last for long.

"In here sir," Gary says, opening the door for Destiny.

Inside the command center, Director Ava Sharp and Supervisor Heywood stand behind the holo table while others monitor activities in the timeline through monitors. Standing to the side are Mia Smoak and Nora West-Allen, who greet him with a salute along with everyone else.

"Welcome, Dr. Destiny," Director Sharpe greets him with the same curtesy as Gary.

"At ease," Destiny commands. "What have you found?"

Director Sharp taps a few buttons on one of the terminals, bringing up an image of a time ship that Destiny does not recognize.

"We found this ship, the Waverider, drifting in the Temporal Zone," she explains. "It's an older model, but the name doesn't show up on any of our registries."

Destiny's eyes widen as he realizes how Red Arrow evaded his sight.

The Temporal Zone is outside of time and space. The perfect place for Red Arrow to hide. But he's placed himself in a corner. This will be too easy.

"Does the ship contain any life?" Destiny asks.

"This model was made to be piloted by an A.I.," Sharpe answers. "But I have no doubt that a crew may still be on board."

If Red Arrow does have friends with him, they and their ship will be beneficial for my conquest and correction of other universes.

"Ready my ship," Destiny commands Sharpe. "Take Mia and Nora with you, as well as our…best agent."

"I'll retrieve Agent Danvers sir," Sharpe says before walking out of the room with Mia and Nora in tow.

"Gary," Destiny calls.

Gary walks up next to him and acknowledges, "Sir."

"I want you to take some of our special Agents and bring them to Arkham Asylum. Tell my wife that if I fail, the book must not fall into the Destroyer's hands."

Gary salutes once more. "I shall do as you ask sir."

As Gary leaves, Destiny looks over to Supervisor Heywood and tells him, "If I do come back, you will be the one to help me announce it to the world."

"It will be my pleasure sir," Heywood says.

Destiny looks at the Waverider once more, a sinister grin forming on his face as his hand reaches under it. He can feel a sense of accomplishment, that his goal is just within reach.

"Today…" His hand crushes the holographic ship. "…my last obstacle will be EXPUNGED."

"WOW, this place is a fortress," Ray comments, which isn't far from the truth.

From the photo, William and the other Legends can see the changes Deegan made to Arkham Asylum. Besides the fact that it is back to its white sheen before it became run down, there are several defenses. Outside, there are guards covering nearly all of the perimeter and several snipers on the rooftops, with no doubt more of them inside. The blueprints that Gideon managed to find include meta and breach dampeners covering every hallway, magical items that can counter various forms of magic, cameras and sensors that can detect anyone that is not part of Deegan's army, and rooms dedicated to torture and experiments.

"This is putting Constantinople to shame," Nate comments.

"Constantinople had its walls breached by superior technology and strategy," William states. "We only need to exploit an opening that can get us inside."

"Well, the magical counters inside mean I can't simply open a portal we can stroll through," Constantine points out. "If you have any ideas Will, lay them out."

There has to be something we missed. Maybe something in the blueprints we haven't—

Something catches William's eye. Something small that disappears as the image pans over to the front.

"Will?" Constantine calls again.

William ignores him, asking Sara, "Pan back to the left side of the building and zoom in."

As the image pans over to the building's side, the object becomes more visible, showing a crack that William swears he has seen before.

There have been some architectural faults on Earth 38's Arkham, but this looks more like…the photo!

"That crack!" William exclaims. "It was part of the walls reconstruction when it was busted open by—"

"A meta?" Ray asks.

"No, a guy on a strength enhancing drug."

Everyone seems to be surprised by his statement. Everyone except Sara, who most likely knows what a man on a powerful drug can be like.

"Sounds like we could use one of those," Mick jokes. At least, William hopes he's joking.

"This must have been part of the reconstruction," William deduces. "That was sometime in the early 80s or late…90s." William's voice trails off as he realizes the significance of the date.

That might have been before Deegan lost his wife!

"That's it!" William exclaims. "Deegan hasn't improved Arkham Asylum. He just took an older version and made it the foundation. All the other defenses are just padding."

"So, if Deegan is using an older structure, that means it has the weaknesses of said structure," Sara continues on. "Something we can use to get inside."

William nods. "Exactly."

"That could still be anywhere on the building," Nate points out.

"Maybe not the building itself," Ray comments. "See the grid for the breach dampeners? They also cover the entire island. Maybe there's something along there that leads inside. A sewer or an underground passage."

"Gideon," Sara calls to the A.I. "Do we have any other images or blueprints of Arkham?"

"I'm afraid not, Captain Lance," Gideon replies. "It seems that Dr. Destiny erased or hid the rest. If there is a weakness, only he knows."

Dang it! Nearly all my Arkham contacts on Earth 1 are from the future. The present-day ones are going to be out of…Except one.

"Not just him," William utters, which gets everyone's attention. "There is one other person, but he retreated to Earth 38." He then turns his head to Constantine. "Can you use your magic to get us there?"

Constantine pushes his hands into his pockets and looks at William with a bit of a frown. "I'm afraid jumping to another universe isn't that simple, unlike for your pal Cisco. I need to prepare a ritual that requires something from Earth 38 to ensure a stable connection. Something I neglected to collect last time I was there."

I assumed he would say that. Sorry about this Bruce.

With a subtle sigh, he takes out and unfolds the batarang in front of everyone.

The second he does, Ray lets out a loud gasp. "That's a batarang. A freaking batarang made by the freaking Batman! We're going to meet the Batman himself!"

Everyone turns towards Ray, mostly expressing confusion or worry. Seeing this, Ray lowers his arms and clears his throat.

"Uh, I'm a huge fan of his."

Well, that's the first time I've seen a reaction like that.

William hands over the batarang to Constantine. "Can you use this?"

Clutching both sides in his hands, Constantine closes his eyes and recites an incantation. His palms glow a faint yellow, which pour over onto the batarang itself. After a few seconds, the yellow energy comes back to his hands and fades.

As Constantine's eyes open, he assures, "It'll do. I'll have the ritual ready in just—"

Suddenly, a loud bang is heard outside of the ship which causes the bridge to shake. Everyone becomes unbalanced and a couple of them grab onto the nearest object they can find.

"Gideon, what was that?!" William yells.

"We're being attacked by a time ship," Gideon quickly answers. "A Time Bureau Model bearing the initials TCF."

Yet another bang is heard and the ship shakes again. This time, the shakes are more violent. Some of the crew even fall to the ground.

"Our shields are down Captain."

Sara, who is still standing, exclaims, "Already?"

William gets up and runs towards the front of the deck. Outside, he can see the time ship in question, waiting. He can see cannons attached on the front ends that are far advanced, even for the Time Bureau. Yet, after a few seconds, he sees no more torpedoes firing.

"They stopped firing," William says. "The only reason they would do that is if—"

"If they wanted us alive," Sara finishes. "They believe they have us right where they want us."

"Captain," Gideon calls to Sara. "The time ship is hailing us."

Sara leans her hands on the table, her gaze on everyone. "Okay, we need a plan fast. We're most likely going to face brainwashed friends. Do we have anything for that?"

"I got one," Ray chips in. "You remember when Darhk, Merlyn, and Thawn altered reality with the Spear of Destiny? I created a ray gun that restored our memories."

"So, wait," Constantine interrupts. "You actually faced something like this before?"

"With the spear that pierced Jesus' side?" Everyone turned to William's surprise remark of the fact. He just explains, "I know some mythology."

"The whole situation felt familiar somehow," Ray continues. "I then realized that I'm not cleaning toilets this time!" The remark gets raised eyebrows from William and Constantine. "It's…a long story."

"Do we still have it?" Sara inquires hastily.

"Uh, yeah. I kept it in case of emergencies. But I'll need time to calibrate it."

"That still doesn't resolve much," Zari points out. "They might have metas and magic and…"

Upon hearing the words 'metas and magic,' William feels his belt for the item that popped into his mind. One that may shift the tide of battle in their favor.

I have one left. If I make it count, we may turn this to our advantage. But it won't stop Deegan entirely. We need to make sure he can't follow us.

"I may have a plan," William says to the crew. "It's risky, but it can bring our allies back to our side and trap Deegan on his ship."

Sara looks to the others, probably seeing if anyone else has any better ideas. However, their attention is on William, telling her everything she needs to know.

"Alright. What do you have?"

Ava paces back and forth on the bridge as she awaits a response. It has been half a minute since they sent the hail. Still, no response. In a normal situation, that meant no peace talks would ensue, leading to open battle. Dr. Destiny, however, has not given the order.

Running out of patience, she pleads with him, "Dr. Destiny, they are not responding. I recommend we destroy the ship now before—"

"Have patience Director," Dr. Destiny interrupts. "I know the Universe Destroyer. He will contact us in due time."

"Even if he does, what then?" Agent Kara Danvers, who walks up next to Ava, asks. "You think he will surrender willingly?"

"If he harbors loyal minions, then yes Agent Danvers."

"How would you—"

Suddenly, a screen flickers to life in front of Dr. Destiny, showing a young man donning a suit with the ill omen, the red arrow, on his chest.

Seeing his appearance, Ava can't help but raise an eyebrow.

This is the Universe Destroyer? He has no red eyes of malice. No gaping void for a mouth. He looks like…well, like an ordinary human being. But I can't be fooled. I must keep my loyalty to Destiny firm.

"John Deegan," The Universe Destroyer greets their superior, almost with contempt. "From the fact that you haven't blown me to bits, I assume that you want to…"

"…I just want to talk."

Ava starts to feel a little dizzy but tries her best not to show it.

The Universe Destroyer's voice. It sounded…No! This is a trick. The Universe Destroyer must not get the better of me.

Dr. Destiny doesn't point out his bluntness or rudeness. Rather, he smirks. "You catch on quickly."

"Where's the Book?"

"Safe. You thought I would bring it here, to your demise? I already got what I needed out of it."

"You mean a world subjugated under your rule? Where your will is law and breaking it means death?"

Deegan walks up to the screen and stares it down, as if to intimidate his opponent. "The world is nearly free of evil! When I'm done with this whole multiverse, there will be no suffering, poverty, crime—"

"And no choice?"

"Choice is a flaw in creation! Of all the corrections I've made to this world, I have always seen that one constant. People having the power to do ill to achieve their own ends!"

"Like you?"

"I made sure tyrants we're never born or died in the ways they deserved, placed in subjects to fill in the gaps of power and made sure they ruled the way I wanted them to! What I did was necessary!"

"The excuse of the many tyrants you deposed, never stopping to consider if YOU became one yourself!"

"Enough squabble! I have firepower that can destroy you in SECONDS. Surrender, and you, along with anyone else aboard, will be spared."

The Universe Destroyer breathes a deep sigh, knowing his defeat is nigh. Still, he looks a Dr. Destiny with a steadfast look. "You want me? You can come get me."

Dr. Destiny's smile looks almost ominous, even to Ava. "My pleasure."

As the screen shuts down, Ava can't help but worry about what the situation implies.

"Sir," she pleads once more. "This may be a trap."

"Oh, there's no doubt about that," Dr. Destiny agrees, flashing a confident smile. "But we have Agents Danvers and Nora on our side. Any move he makes will amount to nothing. You'll see."

"You want me? You can come and get me."

"My pleasure."

When the call reaches its end, William recounts what he has seen in the bridge into his comm.

"Deegan's brought a formidable squad. Sharpe, Supergirl, even Nora and my sister."

"Will that gadget of yours still work?" Sara whispers, which echoes a bit from the library lounge where she and the others lie in wait.

"It will, but Nora is a special case. I need to catch them when their guards are down. When I give the signal, you attack no matter what. Alright?"

"What about the—"

William hears wisping behind him. He turns and sees the Time Bureau's portal opening to the other ship's bridge. Deegan steps into the Waverider along with William's brainwashed friends and allies, looking around for any sign of foul play.

"Nice ship," Deegan comments. "Big coincidence that it is here, in the Temporal Zone, which the Book cannot show me, only describe it's purpose."

"Are you taking me away or what?" William asks.

Deegan slowly approaches, followed by everyone else. "Surely, a vessel like this must be maintained by a handful of people."

"The A.I can run everything fine on it's own," William corrects.

Deegan stops just at the small stair to the library lounge. "So…you're the only one here then?"

From the side of his eye, he can see Sara peek from the lounge corner, baton in hand.

"I'm not alone," William admits, which gets a worried reaction from Sara. To put her at ease, he says, "God is by my side."

Deegan laughs mockingly. "Right. The good Catholic until the end." Deegan takes a few more steps towards William, getting up into his face and trying to tower over him. "But God has left you with NOTHING. He has led you here to face YOUR demise."

William smirks. "Has he? NOW!"

As William clocks Deegan in the head, Sara jumps out along with Constantine, Mick, Nate, Zari, and Charlie as they charge into battle with their weapons, fists, spells, or powers, catching everyone by supri…

"Be not dismayed by what is to come William."

"Nice ship," Deegan comments. "Big coincidence that this is here."

William ignores Deegan for a moment. Some sense of déjà vu hits his head, as if he heard that phrase before. Suddenly, a vision of something that could have been flashes in his mind. Or maybe it is what has been.

Did…did Nora reverse time already? And that voice…it was the one from the book. That…that was God.

"Just tell me, are you alone?"

Deegan's next words throw William off a little.

He wasn't supposed to say that next. Could the book have given him protection from timeline changes? As well as me?

Suddenly, Nora turns into a blur, speeding her way into the library lounge and taking everyone, placing them in front of Ava, Mia, and Kara, who incapacitate them. She then zooms over to William and brings him closer to Deegan.

"No, he wasn't," Nora says.

Deegan smirks. "Useful little tool, her time reversal. One I believe YOU helped her train in." He then gets up into William's face like before. "The best part is…I'm the ONLY one who's aware. How does it feel? Knowing that the odds has been stacked against you? Tell me, where is God when you need him? Hm?"

Hearing him say that, William smirks himself as he slips the power dampening arrowhead into his fingers. "Like I said before…he's by my side."

Seeing Deegan's wide eyes as his cue, he throws the dampening arrowhead into the ground, enrapturing everything around it in an energy grid from which no power, meta or magic, can be used in.

I only have a split second to do this. First, incapacitate Nora.

Quickly, William takes out a tranquilizer arrow laced with nanites, so that Nora does not get up even after the dampening field is disabled and thrusts it into Nora's arm. She winces back in response, but William can see her feet wobble, showing that it is working its way through her.

Next, use arrowheads on Mia, Kara, and Director Sharpe. Duck as to dodge any punch Deegan might throw.

As William kneels down, he takes out three arrowheads and throws them at Mia, Kara, and Ava's faces. All three are stunned, letting Nate and Zari elbow Kara in the gut, Constantine put distance from Mia, and Sara break away from Sharpe's grip and employ a wrist throw. Also, while Deegan did not throw a punch, he did try to cast some kind of spell, but nothing comes out. He stares at his hand with a frustrated look.

Distracted. Take Deegan down quick.

Taking advantage of the situation, William tackles Deegan back into the other time ship's bridge and recovers with a roll. Deegan groans and struggles to get up, either because the tackle was much more devastating than William thought, or Deegan is more fragile than the others.

"Will!" Constantine yells from behind. "A little hand here?!"

William sees Constantine being chased by Mia, who shoots arrow after arrow at his legs which miss by thin margins. He doesn't fight back, most likely because his magical powers being dampened have limited his options.

Acting quickly, William gets up and grabs Mia's next knocked arrow. He then grabs her by the waist and throws both her and him down over to the Waverider's bridge. William quickly gets on top of her and takes out a tranquilizer arrow, one not with nanites. As he is about to inject it into Mia, she shoots out one of her legs, wrapping one around his neck and the other around the ankle, locking William into a triangle hold. She then grabs the arm with the tranquilizer and pins it down.

William finds it hard to move. His legs are a bit spread out behind him, making it hard to get up. However, while the hold is solid, he can feel Mia barely able to keep him down. After just a couple of tugs, he is able to break his arm free. He clamps both hands together and puts pressure on her hip, slowly pushing up enough to bring his legs close to him. Even when Mia tightens the grip of her legs, William is able to pivot his body away, breaking the hold entirely.

Mia tries to get up afterwards, but William slides one knee onto her stomach and drives the tranquilizer into her shoulder. He then takes the leg off of her and wraps both arms around her in a side control. Her movement is sluggish, unable shrimp away from William in time. Eventually, her shoves and punches become gentle nudges. Her wild screams turn to grunts. Finally, with one last grunt, her limbs collapse to the floor, not one movement or sound except for her breathing.

While still glad that William incapacitated his sister without a scratch, he knows that this isn't over. Sara fights Sharpe into Deegan's ship, yet both have not laid a scratch on each other. Meanwhile, Charlie, Nate, Zari, and Mick gang up on Kara, who just keeps away from them and dodges attacks due to her powers being suppressed. Deegan, meanwhile, is still unable to get up from being tackled.

Constantine, the only one not in a fight, extends a hand to William while saying, "Thanks for the save mate."

As William takes it and gets helped up, he turns his attention to Sharpe, who is fighting Sara baton against baton.

She has our only way out of here. Need to incapacitate quickly and take it.

William takes out a grapple arrow and shoots it at Sharpe's side before she can strike another blow. He pulls her towards him and grabs her by the waist.

As Sharpe wrestles with William's grip, he yells to Constantine, "Her portal device! Grab it and close the gateway!"

Acting fast, Constantine reaches for the device protruding Sharpe's work vest. She moves away and kicks at him a couple of times, but William keeps her fairly in place. Eventually, Constantine nicks the device from her belt and steps away. It takes a bit of time, but he finds the button that closes the portal to the ship.

With the device secure, William takes out a tranquilizer arrow and prepares to knock Sharpe out. Unfortunately, with one arm removed, Sharpe finds enough room to head butt him and break free of his grip. She looks like she is going to do a roundhouse kick, so William shakes his head quickly and prepares himself. By the time he does, however, instead of following through, she seems to be frozen in the chambering position, which her grunts and attempts to move her body confirm. When he looks around to see what might be causing it, he sees Constantine holding up his hands.

"Binding spell?" William asks, remembering that closing the portal cut off the dampening arrow from this area.

Constantine nods. "Won't hold her for long though. We need to—"

Knowing what to do, William takes out a net arrow and shoots it at Sharpe. The net wraps around her easily with the binding spells help, but it doesn't break her current stance. Most likely a property of the ability.

"—do that."

"Boys!" Sara yells from the hallway leading out of the bridge. "Engine room's this way. Come on!"

"Let's move," William says as he follows Sara out.

Constantine breaks the spell, which allows Sharpe to fall onto the floor with the net still wrapped around her. He then runs out with the others to execute the next part of the plan.

He was so close. He wasn't prepared for any of the events that transpired. First his powers suddenly not working, then Red Arrow tackling him down. He barely has the strength to recover. He could only pick himself up slowly, watching his minions get knocked out or put out of the action, the portal to the Waverider closing, and Red Arrow running off with a couple of those dissidents deeper into his ship.

He's even more dangerous than I thought. An untamed animal. Not worthy of the world I'll create. It's time to take drastic measures.

From his mind, Destiny spawns in a couple of dark furred, yellow eyed hellhounds, their bodies enraptured by yellow streaks of fire. One of them goes off to Director Sharpe, tearing the net apart with its teeth. As soon as it does, Sharpe runs to Destiny and helps him up to his feet.

"Can you stand sir?" Sharpe asks worriedly.

"I'm fine," Destiny dismisses, keeping a hand on her shoulder as he regains balance. "But the Universe Destroyer is much more cunning than I feared. Killing him is the only alternative."

"He just lured us into a trap, as I predicted. There's a sure chance he'll do it again."
"Then we trap him and his followers." Destiny turns his attention to the hounds, who sit patiently for their next order. "Sick 'em."

Without delay, the hounds set off to find Red Arrow.

"Come," Destiny commands as he regains his balance and heads off to follow the dogs. As he does, he begins to imagine the necessary weaponry he'll need to take Red Arrow down.

Nate, Zari, Mick, and Charlie keep up the pressure on Kara, who is playing keep away at this point, blocking incoming punches and kicks. But her focus on them makes her unaware of her surroundings, for she has bumped into a wall more than once. One of those times, she was close to being boxed in, finding a small gap to slide through at the last second.

With the portal to the other time ship gone, New opportunities arise, at least in Nate's mind.

"Ray!" Nate yells into the comm as he lands a kick on her. "How are we with the memory gun?"

"Calibrations are…done! Be there in a minute."

As Kara recovers and gets into a boxing stance, Nate looks at the power dampening arrowhead William placed down. From what William told them, the dimmer the yellow lights are, the sooner the arrowhead will stop working. Right now, it seems like the lights are about to fade.

"Uh, guys. I think we're about to be fighting a fully powered supergirl fairly soon."

"Finally!" Mick shouts as he unclips his heat gun. "I've been waiting for the chance to let loose."

"Don't hurt her," Zari warns him. "Brainwashed or not, she's still a friend."

As soon as the yellow streaks turn black, Kara's eyes widen, staring at her fingers and pressing them on the top of her thumbs. She then tightens her fists, her shock replaced with a sinister smirk.

She starts to take a deep breath, a bit of it turning into ice as it enters into her mouth. Mick and Zari, as she begins to exhale a large icy breath, step in and shoot back with the heat gun and some magical air. The three streams push against each other, engaged in a war of attrition to see who would collapse first. Unfortunately for Mick, he starts to loose as the gun starts to overheat, the fire becoming weaker and more sparse. As Kara's ice breath gains ground, Zari pushes back with all the wind she can muster. However, it does not do much as the ice still pushes towards them. Eventually, the ice reaches Mick's gun and Zari's hands, leading to a discharge that blows both of them away.

Seeing a window, Supergirl charges in with a chambered punch. Nate reacts quickly, turning metal and catching the punch in his hand. She goes for a cross with her free arm, but Nate catches that as well. Supergirl then pushes against Nate, the force of which feels like trying to hold down a train with infinite cars. He can feel his feet skidding on the floor and hears some unbearable screeching.

"Get out!" Nate yells to the others. "Run!"

Nate turns around for a quick second, seeing Charlie help Zari and Mick up. However, Supergirl looks in their direction as well, her eyes glowing blue. Knowing what that means, he tries to push in closer for a head butt. But Supergirl adapts, lifting off at an angle that pushes him downward. The floor is now slowly giving way, like meteors creating craters. She keeps her sights on his friends and fires her heat vision.

However, enlarging out of nowhere is Ray, now in his Atom suit, shooting an energy beam that stops her heat vision in place. With his other hand, he aims the familiar energy gun and shoots a purple beam at Kara's head. When it makes contact, her heat vision slowly dims as her eyes widen again. Nate can feel the pressure of her strength decrease significantly, her arms staring to droop. She falls into Nate, who is quick to catch her in his arms. He gently place Kara on her feet, but does not let go yet.

"Kara?" Nate asks to confirm if she has come back to them.

Kara blinks and shakes her head. Upon seeing Nate's face, she flashes an assuring smile. "Nate?"

Nate nods, smiling as he lets her go.

She looks at the others, identifying them joyfully, "Ray! Mick!"

Ray clasps the memory gun in both hands, exclaiming, "It works!"

Kara's smile then slowly fades, looking at everyone with a regretful stare. "I—I'm so sorry! I had no control."

"Don't sweat it," Nate assures her. "Your back. That's what matters."

"What about these two?" Mick asks, pointing to Mia and Nora.

"I'll take them to the med bay," Ray says as he hands Nate the gun. "The others should know about this."

Nate nods and gets on the comm while Nate and Kara attend to Mia and Nora. "Guys, the memory gun worked. Kara's on our side…"

"…How are things on your end?"

"We're nearing the engine room," William answers as he, Sara, and Constantine cautiously walk down the hallway. "Stand by to pull us out when I give the—"

Suddenly, loud barks emanate from behind them. They all turn around, seeing dog-like shadows on the walls of the hall they came from. The shadows show sharp teeth as they bark again, which sound distorted and almost…demonic.

"Oh, bloody hell," Constantine utters. "We need to run."

William aims his bow down the hallway. "It's alright. It's just a couple of…"

The dogs jump out from the hallway, revealing themselves to be more than ordinary as their yellow eyes seem to pierce William's soul with their glare, for he almost trembles.

"…hounds from LITERAL Hell."

The hellhounds roar and charge at them with a furious speed.

"Run!" Constantine yells once more.

This time William and Sara heed him. The three of them bolt, Sara leading the others to the engine room. The hounds are faster than any breed William had to escape from, gaining on them fast. In a ditch effort, William shoots an explosive arrow behind them, just feet away from the dogs. The explosion sends the dogs flying back some, but they just get back up and continue the pursuit.

"Those things are durable!" William remarks.

"That's what hellhounds are usually known for," Constantine says.

"Down here!" Sara says as she turns the corner at the hallway's end and heads through the first door in front of them. "Inside!"

As William and Constantine run into the room, Sara closes the door and, using one of her batons, smashes the door controls.

"That'll hold them. I hope."

Constantine leans down, breathing heavily. "How did…how did that Deegan bloke spawn…bloody hellhounds?"

"Deegan wielded the Book of Destiny," William deduces. "Most likely, he used it to give himself abilities since he couldn't take the Flash's or my father's."

"So basically, he could be all powerful?" Sara asks.

"Unlikely, otherwise he would have done more than bring in hellhounds. Still, he's now more of a danger, which means we don't have much time." William taps on the comm in his ear. "Zari, we reached engineering. What do we need to do?"

"Just bringing up the schematics. Okay, there should be a panel at the far end of the room."

Suddenly, a loud bang is heard from the entrance. The three of them can see a small bulge in the middle pointing towards them.

"Oh bullocks," Constantine curses. "Don't tell me they have a battering ram."

"That doesn't stop us!" Sara insists. "Move!"

William, Constantine, and Sara run down the corridor narrowed by the wall and advanced machinery around them. They find the said panel with a latch covering it. Above the panel is a tube filled with a liquid substance and a lever on the side. Opening the latch shows a series of wires that William can somewhat comprehend.

"We're seeing a bunch of wires, a tube with a substance, and a lever."

"The substance you're seeing is the ship's power source. You first use the lever to power everything down until you can no longer see it."

As William pulls the lever down, the lights above them switch off, the red floor lights dimly lighting the room. The machinery around them becomes quiet and, as Zari surmised, the liquid substance leaves the tube.

"Done. What next?"

Just then, another ramming noise is heard. The bulge gets bigger, the sides of the door slightly loosen from their hinges.

"Make it quick!" Constantine urges.

"Okay, if you still want to keep life support systems online, then you'll want to rewire everything, so all power goes to only those systems and NOT to engines and communications. After that, you're clear to turn the power back on. So, starting from the top corner, you'll want…"

William follows every instruction, removing and placing every wire into the recommended slots. He tries to ignore the loud sounds of the ram behind him to keep himself focused, but also does his best to speed up the process.

With the last wire in place, William pushes the lever back up and everything electronic surges to life. He tells Zari, "Finished!"

"Then you're done. Get out of there!"

"What about Ava?" Sara asks as William closes the latch. "We can't just leave her with HIM."

"Deegan has who knows what kind of power," Constantine indicates. "As well as hellhounds."

"Can't you banish them just like all other demons?"

"Only if I know their names, and they will most certainly not give us the curtesy of introducing themselves!"

With another ram, the bottom part of the door breaks away from the doorway. One more and Deegan will corner them.

Sara gives a frustrated sigh and turns to William. "If you have any ideas, now would be the time to tell us."

William looks around the room, thinking about his options.

Deegan's power is unknowable. Escape is our best option, and we can still get to the Book and reverse all of this. Then again, Director Sharpe is most likely trained to repair the ship herself, cutting Deegan's time in the Temporal Zone by half at most and can stop us before we can do what needs to be done. Yet, he's not going to take half measures this time, and we barely have any firepower to…or do we?

With one last strike from his silver-headed battering ram, the door is sent flying off its hinges. It lands in front of one of the machines, yet Red Arrow and his compatriots, who are at the far end of a narrow hallway, flinch upon its thud. As Destiny and Director Sharpe enter, he summons half a dozen turrets and creates a remote control for them. The hellhounds come to their master's side, growling and ready to pounce.

"The three of you are surrounded!" Director Sharpe makes clear. "Come out here with your hands up!"

The three of them comply without much resistance. As they step out of the narrow corridor, he sets the turrets to take aim and shoot if either of them moves a muscle.

Seeing their predicament, Destiny smiles. "You know, you three have led me on quite the hunt. It was a nice change of pace, sending those hellhounds after all of you." He then creates a dagger out of thin air which he intends to throw at William's head. "But all good things must come to and end."

"Nothing ends here," Red Arrow exclaims. "Even if you kill us, we disabled the engines and communications. Our FRIENDS, who've COVERED US since the beginning will take up the fight. They'll free the world FROM YOU."

"Silence with your blasphemy, Universe Destroyer!" Director Sharpe yells passionately.

Though he appreciates the gesture, he calmly insists, "Do not let him get to you." He then turns his attention back to his enemies. "I had hoped to experiment on you, turn you into a weapon that would cement my rule. But now I know that you are too dangerous to live. But, just to be gracious, I will let you decide your death." He holds up his dagger. "A blade to the head." His arms then present his other options. "Death by automated firing squad or ripped apart by my new feral pets. What will it be?"

"Sir," Director Sharpe intervenes. "They took my portal device. They can still escape."

"These turrets I created have the fastest firing rate Director," Destiny explains. "They so much as twitch, they're dead."

"Upon your reaction," Red Arrow points out. "But how fast can you react?"

Destiny's smirk just gets wider. "Death by wager! I like it. On Three?"

"One," Red Arrow says almost immediately. His hand hovers over the portal gun clipped to his belt, his fingers twitching, eager to draw first.

"Two," Destiny continues for him. His thumb rests on the button that will make all of the turrets fire. He revels in the thought of bullets spraying everywhere, his weapons covering any angle and direction they try to go for. There is nowhere that they can dodge for or run to. Nothing can stop this moment from happening.

Finally, Red Arrow reaches the final count.

"BREACH!"

Wait. Wha—

Suddenly, from behind him, a blue portal appears behind them. Reacting quickly, Destiny presses the button and lets the bullets fly. However, from the portal come Agent Danvers as well as a man made of Steel that Destiny can barely recognize. They act as human shields, the bullets ricocheting off of them as if made of paper.

From Agent Danver's side, a grapple arrow shoots out and grabs Director Sharpe by the leg.

"Go!" Red Arrow commands.

As Agent Danvers takes Red Arrow away, Sharpe falls down and gets dragged below the range of fire and towards the portal at almost high speed. The metal man keeps the other two covered as they retreat. Once Sharpe disappears, the bullets stop firing.

"Get them!" Destiny commands his hounds.

The dogs take off at their top speed, quickly reaching the portal. However, a gust of wind appears out of nowhere throws them away.

In a last-ditch effort, Destiny runs for the portal. Unfortunately, it closes completely before his hand could even touch it.

"Go!"

Kara grabs onto Red Arrow and speeds them out of there while Nate, in his metal form, protects Sara and Constantine from the constant bulletfire. As the Hellhounds try to follow, Zari knocks them away with her air blast. Luckily enough, Director Sharpe is still dragged by the grapple arrow into the bridge of the Waverider.

As soon as everyone is through, William shouts to Ray, "Close it!"

Ray then presses the breach beacon that William gave him before the whole venture, closing the breach connected to his suit before Deegan can get through.

Despite how fast she must have been dragged, Sharpe tries to get up on her own, taking a retractable baton from her hand that she was going to use for a valiant stand. However, before she can extend it, Ray quickly shoots a purple beam from an energy gun at her head. As soon as it connects, she loses balance, planting one hand on the ground to catch herself. Her eyes become wide, her breathing almost heavy.

Sara is the only one who runs up to her. She kneels to her level, takes her face, and asks worriedly, "Ava? Ava?!"

Director Sharpe slowly raises her head to meet Sara's eyes. She says nothing for a while, possibly taking the time to recognize the woman she loves.

William, as a precaution, reaches back into his quiver for a tranquilizer arrow. Still, he hopes it will not be necessary.

Finally, a small smile purses Sharpe's lips. "Sara."

Sara smiles back, giving her an assured nod. They both hug passionately, Ava shedding a tear onto Sara's shoulder.

"You have no idea what hell I went through," Ava says with a raunchy throat. "A part of me trapped in my own mind."

"You're back," Sara responds sweetly. "That's all that matters."

Seeing no signs of Sharpe faking this, William lowers his arm and his guard. It seems everyone else does as well, giving subtle sighs or warm smiles for the return of their boss and friend.

Destiny falls to his knees, now realizing his predicament. He is trapped. Trapped in a ship he doesn't know how to repair properly. Making another ship or means of communication to the TCF will take time, which Red Arrow and his cronies are using to destabilize his perfect world.

He…he planned all of this. I had him in a corner…and yet he had a plan for ALL of it. How…

Destiny looks up at the roof, growling and staring so intensely as if he can pierce through it and see the sky.

The Book. God. God never wanted destiny to be cured. He MEANT for destiny to be diseased! For me to SUFFER! He would rather a disease disguised as a SPOILED BRAT to RUN AROUND FREE!

"When I kill your champion…" he points upward. To God and his domain. "YOU'RE NEXT!"
