A/N: Hey guys it's been a while since I posted my latest chapter and I wanted to thank you guys for being such loyal readers. Not much has been changing in my personal life other than my fiance thinking I cheated on her before pursuing in the Air Force. Things between us are getting worse and worse so I wrote this chapter to get my mind off things in my life to focus on making others better.

For everyone in relationships let me spit a little bit of personal knowledge to you guys. Some relationships will get frustrating after you've been together for years with small differences. Love isn't just a feeling its a commitment to love everyday of your life, physically, emotionally, and mentally. It's more difficult than that, its not always laughs, smiles, and fun. People tend to quit when it stops being fun, and go look for someone else because "the spark is gone". No that's not how love works. If you loved someone from the start you never give up on them. You want somebody to never give up on you and love you unconditionally then do the same. Love is in Hollywood movies but we all know that it's fake shit. Consider yourself a Hollywood actor because you're fake lover if you give up on someone. Don't let it come to a point you guys stop arguing because you have nothing left to fight or care for.

Anyways I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Chapter 40 Morning Tryouts

The alarm clock screeched with loud beeps disturbing Humphrey from his delightful slumber. Humphrey groaned slapping his hand against his alarm clock turning over in bed. Then came to realized his football tryouts are today and he's going to be late if he don't dress now. He rose up out of bed wiping off the small substance of slobber on his cheek. Bones and joints popped has he stretched out his slightly bruised arms. Humphrey zombie walked to the bathroom half dazed bumping into Apple on the way. They gave each other eye contact and a small smile eventually splitting up going two different ways. It was a bit odd to Humphrey that his sister was up this early 6:00 in the morning. He soon came to the conclusion she was probably just making breakfast for herself. Sometimes she does that after watching cooking shows thinking she's a high-end chef in the morning. Humphrey drunkily walked into the bathroom, washing his face with warm water, shortly after brushing his teeth. Apple came in while he was walking out with a big cheesy smile on her face. Humphrey couldn't ignore it this time and decided to asked.

"What are you cheesing about?" Humphrey asked smirking leaning against the doorway folding his arms. Apple sighed happily picking up her toothbrush smiling to herself in the mirror.

"Nothing" Apple said with a innocent shrug giggling to herself a bit.

"Righhht" Humphrey said walking back in his room getting dressed grabbing his phone and backpack.

Humphrey checked out his hair in the mirror before grabbing his Nike bag with his football stuff inside wrapping it around his shoulder. He then put on his backpack and paced slowly downstairs to not fall from holding so much. It was slightly dark in the house except for the dinner table where the only light was on at. A tempting breakfast was on the table with strawberry whipped cream on pancakes, a few eggs, bacon, and 'goodluck today' spelled in syrup on the pancakes. A smirk flew across his face and Humphrey scanned the kitchen searching for who made this for him. He saw nothing but his very dark home in absolute silence, other than the muffled sounds of crickets outside. Humphrey shrugged and took his backpack and Nike bag off before sitting down at the table. Picking up the fork and knife that was already prepared. Within three minutes Humphrey was finished with the breakfast and put his backpack and bag on while walking to the fridge. Opening it with his sticky hands from the pancakes to see a note placed on his Starbucks coffee. Humphrey chuckled and grabbed the coffee taking the note off as the fridge closed by itself.

"Can't have a good impression for tryouts on a empty stomach, hope you loved the breakfast" Humphrey said reading it outloud to himself with a smile. He stuck the note on the fridge and opened his coffee heading towards the door.

Humphrey slipped on a jacket and grabbed his car keys off the hook by the door and was well beyond his way to morning tryouts. On the way there all he can think about is what has changed since he left. Humphrey wondered if his friends are still attending to play football anymore at this point. They can't play without him because they promised to play together in brotherness. Kate also lingered through his mind and how should would react if she sees him. Humphrey knows he's going to have to purposely avoid her today not to ruin the surprise tonight. That will be the toughest challenge he would ever have to face in his existence. Neglecting the girl of his sweet dreams knowing she's depressed without him in her life. Before he arrived at school he made a small pit stop at Krispy Kreme Donuts. In the morning drive-thru he ordered Kate's favorite donuts as a little surprise for her to get things started. If he's gonna avoid her for today the least he can do is sneak some donuts in her locker.

"Morning, what can I get for you?" He asked through the static speaker.

"Yeah, can I have half a dozen of bacon glazed donuts?" I shouted through my window.

"Sure, is that gonna be it?" He asked.

"Yes sir" I said.

"Okay your total is $6.25 thank you" He said.

Humphrey proceeded with his purchase and was on his way to the school's football field. After a small ride listening to Post Malone, Humphrey pulled up on Jasper High School campus. Students were hanging around school early just talking by their cars and chilling while others walked to the practice field. Some students were smoking weed/vapes behind the school stairs laughing among themselves. It would make sense to smoke now because there isn't much daylight yet to get caught. The parking lot was filled with cars and Humphrey couldn't find a spot close enough to the field. After some time circling around the parking lot, Humphrey finally found somewhere to park. The downside was he had to park next to a group of arriving cheerleaders. Humphrey slowly rose out of his car gazing over the field at the bright lights shining down on it. As it seemed thousands of insects were swarming around the bright glow of the fields lights. Wolves on the field were chatting to coaches, other players, trying on gloves, and putting on cleats getting ready for warm ups. Cheerleaders were also doing the same on the track turf practicing cheer dances. So far this has been a busy morning for everyone.

Humphrey grabbed his Nike bag in the backseat with his football gear inside and realized he forget about the donuts for Kate. He sat the bag on the ground and searched in his car for a sticky note. When he found them in the glove department now he needed something to write with. Humphrey never has anything to write with for school because he loses his pencils and always forget to buy more. He sighed to himself and looked over at the giggling cheerleaders that waved at him. Humphrey thought long and hard about the decision he's making before calmly walking over to them with a friendly smile. "Okay Humphrey ask for it and run the fuck away" Humphrey thought to himself.

"Morning ladies, one of you gals have a pen I can borrow for a sec?" Humphrey asked politely.

"I do" One of them said reaching in her purse pulling one out. Before Humphrey can take it out her hand she jerked it away.

"What do you have for me in return?" She asked slyly brushing her tail against his crotch area. Humphrey froze not knowing what to do or say lost in his head.

"Heheh just relax I'm just playing with ya" She giggling seductively as the others laughed along with her. Humphrey shrugged it off and walked back to his car sitting inside.

He stuck the note to the Krispy Kreme box and wrote a secret hint on it. Humphrey smiled to himself sitting the box inside his bag before getting out of his car to return the pen but the girls were gone. He shrugged and threw it in his car before picking up his bag and closing the door locking it. On the way walking to the field locker rooms, a car stopped in front of him while playing some loud music by Lil Skies called 'Lust'. The driver wined down the tinted windows and to his surprise it was his friends.

"Humphrey is that you man?" Salty asked with a big smile leaning his head out the passenger window.

"Yeah wassup guys" Humphrey said smirking as he did his signature handshake with him.

"Duuudde where the fuck you been?" Shakey asked.

"Yeah everyone thinks you're locked up...what happened to your face bro?" Salty asked admiring his small bruises.

"It's complicated I'll explain later...where's Mooch fatass?" Humphrey asked trying to spot him in Shakey's car.

"He's asleep in the back...hey I'll park real quick and we'll discuss some more" Shakey said.

"Okay man" Humphrey said adjusting the Nike strap on his shoulder from holding it so long. Shakey wined up his tinted windows and drove off playing loud music again.

Humphrey P.O.V.

I made it to the field and stopped at the short gate to analyze what's happening in front of me. My bag was killing my shoulders so I dropped it down at my feet, and leaned forward against the gate staring out on the field. The players was passing and catching footballs, others were chatting putting on gear, cheerleaders was shouting cheers and doing flips showing off for guys. But to be fair majority of the guys were taking off their shirts while playing football to impress them back. Flexing their muscles and pretending to accidentally bump into them to catch a loose ball rolling their way. What a fucking sexual mess this whole school has became. At this point all you can do is tuck your tail and shake your head in disappointment. This one guy on the field caught my attention and no I don't mean because he had his shirt off. But because his muscles weren't a lie he really could throw the ball far as fuck. When I took a closer look I noticed that it was Sebastian trying out as quarterback. Salty walked up behind me and put his hand on my shoulder.

"Are you gonna come have some fun with your boys or you just gonna sit back and play waterboy" Salty joked walking in through the gate.

"Humphrey does make a good waterboy" Shakey said chuckling walking past me along with Mooch.

"Hey guys Sebastian is playing now?...I thought he said he wouldn't play football?" I asked picking up my bag trying to keep up with them.

"We motivated him to give it a try and whatta know the guy can throw" Salty said as we all watched him throw a far ball while walking to the locker room.

"Looks like you have some competition bud" Shakey said watching the ball fly patting my arm.

"I love the challenge" I said opening the field house door to the locker room walking in.

My friends and I small talked as we walked to the depths of the locker room to our original lockers from last year. Almost everyone was changing into shorts and compression shirts but it was a little too cold outside for me. Unlike everyone else I hate the cold and my fur never really helped me in favor. I put on my Nike sweatpants with a matching long sleeve shirt to keep the blood cells warm. What some weirdos don't understand is that cold balls isn't a great start to a morning. Lee was finished clothing himself and walked over to greet us with a smile.

"Wassup guys who's this?" Lee asked my friends.

"Aww come on Lee you don't remember me?" I asked jokily disappointed.

"Wait I know that voice...Humphrey?" Lee asked with widen eyes.

"Yeah it's me" I said with a small chuckle putting on my gloves.

"When-where…Kate is going to loose her tits when she sees you" Lee explained.

"Speaking of Kate, can all of you guys do me a favor?" I asked giving them all eye contact.

"Yeah what is it?" Salty asked as they looked around at each other.

"Can you guys not tell Kate that I am here please?" I asked slipping on my cleats.

"What?...why I thought you would be happy to see her because right now she'll be more than thrilled to see you" Lee said confused.

"Listen-look...honestly I would love to see her right now but I want it to be a surprise for later tonight" I said tying my shoe strings.

"Oh I see what you did there niceeeeee" Shakey said giving me a fist bump.

"That's probably going to be the talk of the night" Salty said smiling while touching my shoulder.

"TRYOUTS START IN 5 MINUTES EVERYONE OUT ON THE FIELD!" The coach yelled inside the locker room. Everyone stopped talking and quickly dressed before running out the locker room as a crowd to the field to get a small warm up in.

"Hey Salty warm up with me" I said jogging to go get a ball.

"Alright" Salty said jogging to our usual spot we always warm up at every school year. I picked up one of the balls and was about to run back to Salty until someone called my name.

"Hey Humphrey!...come here I just need a minute of your time" a familiar voice said on the other side of the short gate. There was enough to time to chat and he looked familiar too so I jogged to greet him.

"Hey wassup?" I said breathing a little heavy.

"You remember me?" He asked with a smirk.

"No not really?" I said trying to make out who he was.

"How about now?" He asked taking his hood off his head.

"Ohh you're the guy who works at the fair...Justice right?" I asked trying to remember his name.

"Yeah that's me but look...no pressure or anything but I wanna check you out and see what you have in store...if you change your mind or coach won't start you just hit your boy Justice I got a spot for you" Justice said with a confident gesture.

"Okay I'll keep that in mind" I said spinning the ball on my finger before jogging back to Salty.

"Damn man what took you so long I can show off to the sluts if I don't have a ball" Salty said catching the ball I threw to him.

"Oh no you're infected you're turning into a thirsty coyote" I said rubbing my hands together for a better grip.

"You were like that once upon a time too so you're as infected than I am" Salty said throwing the football back to me.

"I found a cure to my infection which is called love...besides who watches junior varsity cheerleaders everyone knows the hottest babes are on varsity" I said standing in a firm position to throw.

"Pussy is pussy it don't matter what level of cheer they're on...am I right or am I right?" Salty asked with a chuckle and I playfully threw a bullet pass to shut him up.

After some time fucking around in the warm ups, the real fun was about to begin. The coach blew the whistle and everyone went to their position lines. When Sabastian seen me his eyes widen and immediately motioned for our signature handshake.

"You have some explaining to do" Sebastian said playfully squeezing my hand lightly. I chuckled and positioned myself at the end of the medium sized line.

My position coach gave us instructions where to throw the ball and when to the other trying out receivers. Based off the competition in my line other than Sabastian it seems like this should be a piece of cake. For right now we were starting to work on deep ball throws. Without second thought I already knew Sebastian beat me in that. A random guy went first and did a okay job giving us all the first impression of how the coaches want us to throw. After all the other unknown player Sebastian was up next a threw a perfect deep ball to Shakey.

"Okay nice catch Shakey!" I shouted dabbing him up when he ran next to my line to get back in his own.

I was next in line and Salty was the receiver I was passing to. Salty and I gave eye contact and simply nodded in approval of each other backs. The football was hiked to me and within four seconds the ball was released from my hands. Salty proceeded to an amazing catch with one hand before slipping out on the sidelines. Wolves echoed in satisfaction of ooo's and ahh's at the catch Salty made in style. It just the fact I knew he didn't do it on purpose which made it great for the both of us.

"Good throw Humphrey" Salty said running back to his line and I smiled playfully sticking my tongue out.

My line threw a couple more deep balls in a row until it was time to move to the next drill. From the looks of it the coaches seemed flabbergasted at what I brought to the team. Not only them but a few group of cheerleaders were cheering me on every time it was my turn to throw. The new attention was mentally fucking me off my game but I knew I had to get used to the crowd eventually in game. The remainder of tryouts were pretty much basic stuff accuracy throws, speed balls, slant passes, and ten yard sideline throws. On all of the drills Sebastian and I was neck to neck on each other. Despite him being my friend I dreamed of this position my whole life I'll be damned if I don't succeed at getting it. If I don't start now my senior year playing is going to tough and last minute. The last drill of the morning was the dual threat run and throw. We had to run around cones, doge tackling dummies, and throw an accurate ball on the run. Most of the other players were shit on the run and couldn't doge anything but throw good passes. Sebastian went first before me and didn't do bad at all but I know I could do better. My turn was up and Salty was my receiver again with that being said this position for me was already in the bag.

"Wait, before you began...Coby come play defensive corner on Salty" Our head coach said.

"Yes sir" Coby said slipping in his mouthpiece lining up on Salty.

Coby was short but wasn't that small of a wolf at all he was pretty husky for his size. He's the best defensive player on the team by far to get scholarships next season. Wolves know him for his hard tackling to knock someone's helmet off and his super strength. Coby is definitely the most aggressive and toughest defensive player on the team. Also the fastest and very knowledgeable on the playbook, it's going to be a true challenge getting the football pass him. Knowing that he's out there covering my best friend brought nervous chills down my spine. For the first time ever I can hear my heartbeat through my head and the air I breathe become thicker. Salty lined up with the ball and gave me his signature smirk as usual that actually eased my anxiety of fucking up. The time came for me to hike the ball and I was off with the cones. I practice these kind of drills in my backyard and at the park all the time this was all easy to me. By the looks of the players and coaches I can tell I finished with the fastest time because everyone was impressed. And for the finale I threw a perfect high ball in corner of end zone. Coby was well defending Salty and was in line for a interception. Before Coby had the chance to jump, Salty reached his arms over his head and caught the football over him. The field erupted in impressed cheers that Salty just caught a football over the best defensive player on the team.

"That's my boy" I said as we did our handshake when he jogged back to me.

"Humphrey good pass man" Sebastian said squeezing my shoulder.

"Thanks dude" I said looking out by the gate to see Justice walking away with his hoodie on.

1 Hour Earlier...

Kate's P.O.V.

I was following behind Lilly's car as we drove on school campus for cheerleading tryouts. It tooks us a solid two minutes just to find somewhere to park near the varsity gym. Seems like everyone wants to be apart of a extra curriculum or they're just happy to be at school. When we finally found a parking spot it was too dark to do my make-up and I was running a bit late anyway. A good breakfast would've had me going for the day but morning tryouts on a feel stomach isn't so good for nervous occasions. I grabbed my varsity cheerleading squad bag from last year and made my way to the gym. Lilly soon caught up next to me with a bright smile on her face. Whenever she smiles I can never help but smile back regardless of how I'm feeling. Ever since I saw her smile as a growing pup it always made my day spin in grace. Thinking of Lilly's adorable smile I couldn't wait to come home after school to see her. While we walked I noticed Lilly had her hair back in a tail and I never asked why she changed her style suddenly. If I have asked already I had clearly forgotten. Nice to know my sister is changing the way she lives for once and outsteping her boundaries.

We walked inside the school together but soon parted ways to our separate locker rooms. The entrance to our locker room was crowded with girls and intense chatter. Many of the girls I knew greeted me cheerfully and I greeted with back with a pleasant smile. There were so many new faces I haven't seen before though plus I'm sure some of these girls don't even go to this school. Maybe they are here for the southern bell competition for tryouts. Back when I was a freshman I craved to be a southern bell but it was before we were rich to pay the expenses. It was a desk in front of our varsity locker room with the cheerleading coaches and we supposedly sign in. There were alphabetical order and you would be surprised if how many girls names ends in the W's. After some time waiting, my friend's walked up in line behind me playfully feeling my butt.

"Hey Kate, looking hot for tryouts are we?" Sweets asked giggling admiring me in last year's cheerleading uniform.

"You guys aren't bad yourselves" I said with a cheesy smirk.

"These uniforms are squeezing me to death I can't wait to get the new ones" Candy said complaining as always about her oversized breast being tampered with.

"Yeah me too I heard this year's uniforms are going to be solid bright gold" Sweets said excitedly.

"I thought you had to pay for those?" Winter asked.

"No that's only if you're not on varsity" Candy confirmed.

"Who says you're on varsity?...we all know I cheer and look way better than you" Sweets asked teasing her sister.

"Do you ever have anything nice to say?" Candy asked folding her arms.

"Can you ever just admit I'm right for once?" Sweets shot back at her.

"Hey hey hey, there's no need to fight over who's the best because I am right here thank you...excuse me peasants" Jane said with a innocent giggle cutting in front of us along with her slutty ducklings.

But when she walked past me, she gave me a harsh shoulder bump, almost making me fall. In my mind Jane was murdered and tortured in a billion different ways; but there's too much happening in my life right now to fight someone else. Mentally, I am still fighting myself to stay strong and make it threw tryouts.

"Ughh I swear I hate that bitch so much" Candy said with a low growl.

"Don't worry one of these days her car is going to stop working in the middle of a intersection and get hit by a bus" Sweets said with a evil grin.

"Ohh I like the way you think" Candy said in agreement.

"You guys need serious help" Winter said giggling rolling her eyes.

"I kinda agree with them too" I said with a light giggle.

"Oh no not you too Kate you're the last normal wolf I have left" Winter said and I rolled my golden eyes. Soon it was my turn to sign in and our coach immediately smile when she seen me.

"Hello morning Kate, I expect nothing but greatness out of you" She said happily.

"Mrs. Carey I'll try my best to deliver" I said smiling back.

"Oh I know you will it was in your mother's blood now it's in yours...how is Eve anyway?" Mrs. Carey asked with a curious smile.

"She's been great, would be even better when I tell her I made the cheer squad" I said smiling my face off as I signed my name on the sheet.

"Well that's great to hear hun love your enthusiasm, and good luck today" Mrs. Carey said handing me a postcard.

"Thanks" I said picking up my cheer bag walking towards the locker room. Before I walked inside the locker rooms, I heard Mrs. Carey gasp and say.

"How is my favorite twin sisters this morning?" Mrs. Carey said referring to Candy and Sweets. Sounding like the happiest morning wolf ever. I don't know how she manage to be so happy every single morning of school.

As every year, my locker was crowded with girls I've never seen before and I politely tell them to move. I twisted in my combination, opening my locker and the first thing I saw was Humphrey's picture on the door. It was the pictures we took when we were at the fair that night after Candy and Sweets beach party. A soft smile cracked across my face as I remembered I still have the giant teddy bear he won me at home in my room. Wherever Humphrey is I really do hope that he comes back because I miss him sooo much. And that all these hints he's coming back wasn't just a piece of my mind fucking with my emotions. I opened my makeup bag and began to enhance my beauty while looking at my innocent reflection in the mirror. My personal appearance didn't look as bad it did before but I am pale-ish in begging need for a tan. When I finished with my makeup and hair; I started to put on the rest of my cheerleading uniform. Half of my uniform was on me because it was a little too cold outside to be showing nothing but furry skin all over. The superintendent soon walked in the locker room and announced us to make our way to the varsity gym to perform tryouts.

I caught up with my friends and they were just as excited as I am. Tryouts were always the funnest event of the beginning of the school year. This is the stage where girls become women of the future. But considering I made the cheer squad every year I knew this wasn't going to be much of a challenge for me. The varsity gym wasn't as filled with girls trying out as I thought it would be. It was most the same girls from last year not a whole lot of new faces. Maybe all those other girls was actually here only for the southern bells competition. As every year I was sorta nervous I didn't know what to expect at all. I've been rehearsing at home and practicing all summer. But sometimes I just get a gut feeling that I might fuck up. I don't want to be like Suzie from last year's tryouts; poor girl tried to do a multiple backflips and knocked her front row of teeth out. My friends noticed my anxiousness and was quick to question me.

"Kate what's the matter?" Winter asked walking next to me moving a loose hair behind my ear.

"I'm just…*sigh*...a little nervous I don't want to mess up" I said with a brief smile.

"Don't worry we all are but I know we're all going to make the squad we worked to hard for this moment" Winter said smiling as us.

"We're gonna be here for you cheering you on" Candy said in a soothing time.

"Only, if you promise to cheer for us back" Sweets said with a smirk and her hand on her hip.

"Oh for sure you know I love you guys" I said with bright smile. We all came in for a group hug and broke apart after a few seconds.

"Ugh I think I'm gonna puke" Jane said walking past us with a sway in her walk in disgust.

"I say that everyday when I see your face" Sweet said and Jane flipped her the finger saying.

"Whatever bigfoot and her twin sister" Jane said annoyed walking over to her cheering group who were going over routines.

"And that's coming from a girl where prostitution runs in the family" Candy shot back at her.

"Okay it's time to end this once and for all" Sweet said grinning evilly.

"You're thinking what I am thinking?" Candy asked smiling.

"Of course I am" Sweet said walking towards Jane slowly.

"And what are you two thinking exactly?" I asked in suspension.

"Oh you'll see" Candy said following after her sister. I looked over at Winter for a explanation and she shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't know what they're doing" Winter said clueless.

"Well let's just work on our routine...since we were the ones who ever truly cared anyways" I said grabbing Winters hand to start our routine. Midway through the routine Candy and Sweets came back snickering like they stole cookies from a jar.

"What did you guys do?" Winter asked.

"Just wait you'll see" Candy said with a giggle.

Jane and her cheer squad was the first to tryout and I was kinda curious to see how well they do. If Jane had the confidence and audacity to talk shit to us they have to be packing some heat. The music started and they began their cheer with two girls doing perimeter backflips. At most the dance moves they did was basic and not really impressive at all but it seems like the judges was loving it. It's just acrobatic dancing it's honestly not that hard to do. thing that surprised me that they all pulled a backflip into a split off. I've been trying to practice that properly without hurting myself and I could never pull through. Watching them do it effortlessly made me a bit jealous but it's whatever thought. Jane by far was the superior acrobatic dancer of the group. I never thought I would ever say this but she was impressive what she was pulling of. In mid thought of that Jane sudden twitched and missed a dance step. I wasn't sure if that was apart of their routine or she just forgot the moves. It seemed like she shrugged it off and seconds later she did the same thing again. This time I wasn't the only one to notice that something was off with her. My friends were quick to pick up on her actions too. When a intense laughter escaped Candy and Sweets mouth that's when I knew they did some dirty shit.

"What have you done to her?" I asked.

"We might have just played with her fear just because we can" Sweets said smirking at Candy. Suddenly there a loud scream that drove everyone's attention.

Jane was running around off the mini stage like she was on fire trying to get something off of her. She was knocking over tables in the gym along with her own cheer squad as she was panicking. Relentlessly determined to get off whatever was on her in a hurry. Soon the entire gym attention was on a screaming Jane who's running around like her head was cut off. The torture of her misery didn't end there it only became worse. A frog hopped down her leggings and onto the gym floor causing laughter to echo throughout the varsity gym. Jane took one look at it and screamed at the top of her lungs tripping off of her own feet backing away.

"Oh yeahh right Jane did always have a phobia for frogs since 4th at the country fair...well played guys" Winter said giggling fist pumping Candy.

"No way where did you guys get a frog from?" I asked in dying laughter.

"Some nerd Zoey in environmental science haha" Sweets said in tears of Jane embarrassment.

"Mr. Chubby, there you are I've been looking all over for you mister" Zoey said marching in the gym picking up the frog as it tried to escape her grasp.

"Keep that thing away from me" Jane said breathing heavily crawling away backwards.

"Aww come on he likes you" Zoey said putting it near her face and the frog attached it's tongue to her nose.

"Ew ew ew that slimey hideous creature just touched my gorgeous face I'm hideous now!" Jane said having some type of pretty girl mental breakdown. Jane panicky stood to her feet too fast and her leggings ended up tearing showing the whole gym her rainbow panties.

"A frog just got laid now this?...Oh my goodness that is a bonus" Sweets said dying of laughter holding her rib cage. Jane felt a brief breeze and covered herself with her tail with and bright red face.

"How dare you call pyxicephalus adspersus a hideous creature..on second thought he just told me he doesn't like you anymore" Zoey said walking away upset.

"Don't just stand there help me" Jane exclaimed to her cheer squad but it was much rather too late to save her embarrassment.

"Sorry to say this but your cheer squad is disqualified" The cheer instructor said.

"But-But this isn't-"

"Next!" The instructor shouted.

Jane pouted upset and looked over at us too see we're laughing our asses off. She angrily walked over to us with pure hatred on our face and said.

"I know one of you worthless bitches had something to do with this and I'm going to make you regret being alive I promise you that" Jane said snarling at us in a low growl storming away out the gym with her tail tucked.

"Wonder what has her cameltoe in a bunch" Sweets said laughing hysterically making us join in.

"Thanks guys with all the stuff happening lately I really needed the laugh" I said calming down from laughing.

"Jane deserves it no need to thank us, thank the frog fucker herself" Candy said giggling.

"I said next we don't have all day guys let's keep it moving" The instructor said to us.

"You guys ready?" Winter asked smiling looking at us.

"Of course we are, it's time to go get some golden uniformmmms" Sweets said confidentiality squealing with excitement.

"Come on let's go" I said rolling my eyes walking to our positions on the mini stage.

When we were all set smiles flew across our faces and suddenly all my worrying disappeared. The instructor played our tryout song 'The Sound' by The 1975, and from the get go we did acrobatic dancing the proper way. Showing off our flexibility and lectures of pulling eyes to our dramatic cheer dancing. Sexy dancing hasn't normally been my thing but my friends talked me into it over the summer. Judging from the smiles on the instructors they enjoyed a bit of our flaws. All of our moves were perfect in complete sync even to the arm tutting and splits. So far the judges loved it and was feeding for more. Eventually we caught the attention of everyone in the gym; as they stopped doing whatever they was doing to watch us. We all had a individual moment of freestyle gymnastic dancing and everytime we rehearsed this part late summer I felt so alive. My dream is to be in the Olympics representing Canada rhythmic gymnast as a world champion gold medalist. The thrill of dancing has never failed to not make me happy. Over the past couple of days I've been dancing my depressed away and to a scale it helped when no one else couldn't. Lastly, Sweets finished with her own individual dance while we danced in the background. It was almost to the end of the song and we finished off strong with crisp gymnastic flips. When the song stopped we were in unique poses panting heavily with smiles on our faces.

"Well done girls that was amazing..I love how you guys dance with so much emotion and passion I'll have to get back with tomorrow morning" The instructor said.

"So are you saying we made the squad?" I asked happily excited.

"Not just yet but you girls are on our good side...we have a eye out for you guys for sure so keep your dancing up and you'll make a spot...next" The other judge said with a smile receiving nods from us.

We walked off the mini stage until we were out the gym and back to the locker room. So many different happy emotions was happening within me and I was going to blow if I didn't let them out now. When we walked in the half empty locker room my friends went crazy in excitement.

"We made the squad!" Sweets said jumping excitedly with Candy.

"Don't get too ahead of yourselves we don't know for a fact if we made it" Winter said and they shot her a really face.

"Who am I kidding WE MADE THE SQUAD!" Winter squealed in excitement jumping along with them.

"Hey Kate aren't you relieved too?..we're on the cheer squad we thrived all summer long for" Candy said breaking away from them.

"Oh uh, yeah of course I am, but…someone burned Humphrey's picture in my locker" I said showing the slightly burned picture of us at the fair.

"I'm sure it was just Jane being cruel" Candy said.

"Yeah maybe.." I said admiring for any clues or prints. There wasn't much evidence on the picture to tell me who did it; but with all the madness that's been happening lately I don't know what to think anymore.

"Hey don't overthinking it and turn something into a misunderstanding...don't let anyone ruin this moment for us" Sweets said forcing a smile on my face.

"Okay" I said putting the picture back in my locker.

"WE MADE THE SQUAD!" I yelled excitedly throughout the locker room catching everyone's attention unexpectedly.

No One's P.O.V.

Nearly a hour later school was about to begin and most of tryouts was over all around school. Just as any other day, Jasper High School was packed with students driving into school. It was actually surprising so many wolves shown up only because of tryouts; otherwise not as many students wouldn't be there on a Friday. Humphrey and his friends just finished up getting dressed into their school clothes after tryouts and were on their way walking to class. The were talking about the amazing things that happened at tryouts this morning, and who more than likely is making the team. They were all surprised Sebastian was actually good in football for such a nerdy bodybuilding looking wolf. Sebastian told them he was only trying out because he wanted to try something new. Regardless if he was making the team or not he's not going fully through with playing football. Humphrey stopped by his car unlocking the doors taking out the Krispy Kreme Donuts box for Kate.

"Lee can you do me a favor?" Humphrey asked and he stopped walking alongside his friends.

"Um yeah wassup?" Lee asked.

"Can you tell Lilly to stash this in Kate's locker?" Humphrey asked.

"Okay" Lee said reaching for the box but he jerked it before he can grab it.

"Don't read the note or take a donut" Humphrey said and Lee sighed in defeat.

"Fuck! Fine" Lee said chuckling taking the box of donuts pursuing his mission. Humphrey watched him leave before getting in his car and his friends walked back to his car.

"Humphrey where are you going man?" Salty asked.

"Sorry guys I have classes with Kate and I can't be seen by her it'll ruin my surprise for tonight" Humphrey said flipping his silky hair putting on some shades afterwards.

"Well damn a simple goodbye to your best friends would've been nice" Shakey said.

"I know right...pussy has really changed him" Salty said jokingly shaking his head.

"Fuck you guys" Humphrey said chuckling flipping them off while driving away.

Kate's P.O.V.

My friends and I were on our morning routine of walking to the school lockers. We small talked about tryouts and that we should go out somewhere tomorrow to celebrate. Knowing Jasper High School being the top five ranked cheerleading squad in the entire district of 400 schools seems like a huge accomplishment. The hallways were a lot more crowded as ever due to tryouts and there was more new faces I've never seen. Not only that but the hallways feel different without Jane and the other sluts not around. You can say that was a good thing I don't have to put up with her shit for now. When I looked over to my locker I seen Lilly walk by which rose suspension. Freshman lockers are on the other side of school it was quite puzzling why she'll be on the juniors side. The thought soon kicked out my head when my friends snapped me out of my line of thought.

"Kate" Winter called.

"Hm?" I answered.

"Which do you prefer?" Winter asked.

"What was the question again?" I asked.

"Bowling or a Taylor Swift live concert?" Winter asked.

"Bowling" I said twisting in my combination for my locker.

"I can't believe you guys really choose bowling over Taylor Swift" Winter asked shaking her head in disappointment putting in her locker combination.

"I'm not really a fan of her music" Candy said putting on lipstick in her locker mirror, which I noticed had pictures of Humphrey inside. But since she's my childhood best friend I didn't really care to mention it.

"Me either" I said opening my locker to a surprise.

"You guys are definitely not normal" Winter said.

There was a Krispy Kreme Donut box inside my locker with a sticky note attached to it. I pulled the box out my locker and opened the box to see it's my favorite. Bacon covered donuts with glaze frosting smothering it all over. So many questions ran through my mind that probably won't be answered accurately. There was no trace of evidence who put the donuts in my locker and it deliciously still smell fresh. Sweets was quick to pick up on the donuts because anything with bacon becomes her favorite.

"You're just full of surprises aren't you?" Sweets asked reaching for the box and I slapped her hand.

"Back off its for me" I said overprotective over my long-time favorite donuts.

"Where did that come from?" Winter asked admiring the donuts.

"I don't know but there's a note on it" I said taking the note off to read it.

"Who cares gimmie" Candy said reaching for the box while I kept it away from her still trying to focus reading the note.

"Come on half a dozen donuts to yourself?..I see diabetes in your future" Sweets whimpered.

"Ughh fine here" I said annoyed and just gave them what they wanted just to read the note in peace.

"Hey wait I wanted that one" Candy said trying to take the donut back out her hand.

"Oh well deal with it my germs now" Sweet said coughing all over it.

"What does the note say?" Winter asked walking around the fighting sisters.

"It says 'This box of donuts dates back the first time we shared our first acknowledgement of each other..can you guess who I am?...PS Heard you were having a bad week, hope this enlightened your day" I said reading the note out loud.

"Do you know who that is?" Winter asked.

"I-I don't remember…" I said in deep thought.
