So it's come to that point where I can no longer feel the need to write for Re:Kamen Rider Smash. Unfortunately my muses are pointing elsewhere, especially with Roze, and also another project that may not show up for a while that's on the back burner. But I hate leaving things unfinished, especially with the extensive detailing I have regarding Kamen Rider Smash. So the next several chapters will be dedicated to putting out the various episode guides I worked with into a summary of the remaining events in a sort of summary format. To not make things too long, and because I might have a few special one shot skits slapped between summaries, we'll be tackling one arc at a time.
Kamen Rider Smash – Remaining Episode Plans
Episodes 19 to 27: The Subspace Conquest Arc
EPISODE 19 - THE MECHANIZED REBELLION:
Through their teamwork, Eiji, Byleth and Incineroar are able to defeat PsyCollider. Unfortunately during the fight they do obtain confirmation that Mewtwo was kidnapped. With that out of the way, Byleth figures that heading back to Hyrule would be best, to keep an eye on Zelda due to the prior two kidnappings in Kanto and Altea. Byleth also uses this as a chance to get a read on Eiji's personality while they train to get him more up to snuff.
On Kenshin's side he keeps getting more calls about berserk ROBs and after deducting that the ROBs want to rebel he heads to the main factory. Zero accompanies him and the two soon find that Wily had taken it over with the lead ROB returning to the role as the Ancient Minister. A prototype Galleom mech is brought out though Kenshin easily uses NintenTrinity to tear through it. Of course that's the least of his problems as Zero betrays him. Wily had finally activated the programming he hid in Zero after capturing him. To make matters worse, Metal Face shows up to extract the Subspace Army members, collapsing the factory to keep Kenshin from pursuing.
Samus meanwhile studies more of Junmei's powers and abilities with the assistance of Doctor Mario. Junmei is then brought in when Samus suggests a simple plan, to steal the Pit and Dark Pit Smash Tokens since they realize that Palutena won't give them willingly. Junmei while hesitant at the idea of infighting eventually agrees with Samus. When the question turns to who will be assisting in this mission, Joker is called to be brought in on the plan.
EPISODE 20 - THEFT OF TWILIGHT:
To help distract Kenshin and to gain more battle data, the Malice known as RetroMachina appears thanks to the ROB Smash Token. The Malice was put on loan to Metal Face from Meijin to also help distract the Rider. Kenshin ends up in a rough fight due to the machines high learning and tough armor, but pushes through via Platform Blazer and Calamity Hero. Despite defeating it however, Kenshin is unable to claim the Token as Meijin takes it first.
Joker, Junmei and Samus break into Palutena's temple, the trio unfortunately being caught by Palutena who figured that they would come eventually. After attempting to talk the goddess into giving them the Smash Tokens fail the trio of thieves fight against Palutena, Pit and Dark Pit. A surprising assist comes into play via Bayonetta who had been keeping a close eye on Junmei's movements. Of course her help is merely a façade as once Junmei obtains both Tokens, the Umbran Witch turns on Junmei to see what the new form can do.
Transforming into Seraph of Duality, Junmei fights equally against Palutena and Bayonetta. She manages to catch the two off guard with her power. Thanks to having a Token of both elements of Light and Darkness, Junmei's powers are boosted exponentially due to the balance of elements. While Samus and Joker deal with Pit and Dark Pit respectively, Junmei defeats both Palutena and Bayonetta. Palutena herself finally breaks down after admitting the stress of being the World of Smash's sole Goddess is getting to her. Junmei comforts the goddess and they reconcile in the end.
Things seem to be getting worse however as Eiji and Byleth are caught off guard while training, the Subspace Army arriving from all around Hyrule and commencing a siege. The two commanding the army be Ganondorf and the Dark Emperor.
Episode 20 - Kamen Rider Echo Seraph of Duality Debut:
"Now then," Bayonetta said with a smirk before aiming both of her guns at Junmei. "Now that you have your prize I'd like to have some fun."
Junmei couldn't help but give a small scoff, "I had a feeling that you'd want something like this… you really think now is the time?"
"If you're going to show your true potential then I need to push you into doing so," Bayonetta remarked as she kept her weapons trained on the Rider.
"Just what do you hope to gain from this?" Palutena asked.
"Oh please, just be glad I'm on your side," Bayonetta remarked.
"Fine then," Junmei called out as she removed her current set of Smash Tokens before slotting in Pit and Dark Pits Tokens with no issue. "Let's dance!"
[DUAL COMBINATION!]
White and Purple sparks flew out from the Token Driver, transparent images of Pit and Dark Pit forming from the sparks. The two shined brightly, their forms becoming silhouettes as they slid on top of Junmei, the energy moving to her back as four bright white and purple wings stretched out from the body. The wings soon wrapped around and covered the body in an almost cocoon-like fashion.
[PIT! DARK PIT! KAMEN RIDER ECHO: SERAPH OF DUALITY!]
Soon enough the cocoon of feathers exploded out, the feathers scattering as Junmei's new form was unveiled. Junmei now wore a bodysuit split down the middle, the right half being white while the left half was black. She held Grecian styled chest armor that was also split in coloration in the same manner. Each side held the same type of Grecian style of armoring, shoulder, forearm and shin armor the same coloration as the side it was on. The white armor held gold detailing while the black held purple, a dual colored twin coattail came from underneath her belt and dropped to her ankles, the right half being white with gold markings while the left was black with purple markings.
Her helmet was a simple rounded helmet, it having the same split, white right, black left. Gold and purple wings were layered on their respective side of the helmet, two bright green compound eyes standing out amongst all the black and white.
"She did it…" Palutena trailed.
"Oh yes she did," Bayonetta mused.
"I feel complete," Junmei admitted as she looked herself over, moving her fingers around as she gripped her fists tightly. "There's a perfect balance, neither is overtaking the other like the prior forms."
"Whoa, is that Junmei?" Pit asked before yelping as he dodged a missile.
"Looks like we win," Samus noted as she glanced over at the fight.
"Fat chance," Dark Pit quickly took aim at Junmei's back before unleashing an arrow.
Arsene suddenly formed and smacked the arrow away, it hitting the wall off to the side as Joker leapt into view, "Sorry to say but I'm your opponent."
"So this is your new power," Bayonetta smirked before striking a pose, "Let's see how you do!"
A dark portal formed as Bayonetta performed her wicked weaves, a large demonic fist launching out of the portal straight towards Junmei.
[DUAL CLAW!]
Junmei herself took a step forward, holding her left arm out as a thick purple gauntlet with clear rimming and detailing formed over her left forearm. On both sides of the gauntlet were blade-like attachments that looked similar to Dark Pit's silver bow. There was also a slot to place a Smash Token inside as well. In an instant Junmei clawed forward, dark energy unleashing itself and clashing against the large fist. The fist tried to push through only for the dark energy to win, it being forced back as Bayonetta recalled it.
[DARK SAMUS: DUAL SCRATCHING!]
Junmei took a deep breath, nearly growling as she held both hands forward in a clawed stance. She had just slotted her Samus Smash Token into her new gauntlet. Bright blue energy began flowing through the clear rimming and detailing, blue energy forming on the blades of the claw themselves.
"Don't think it'll be so easy!" Bayonetta took aim and fired several enhanced shots from her guns, planning on overwhelming Junmei with her firepower.
"Take this," Junmei said in a calm voice as she spun and swung forward, two crescent waves of phazon rocketing forward. The waves had completely engulfed and destroyed the bullets, not even slowing down as they shot straight for Bayonetta.
Bayonetta's eyes widened as she used her Witch Time to just barely dodge out of the way, being pushed back by the force of the attacks passing her and slamming into the nearby wall.
"Junmei… dismiss your transformation now," Palutena gave a light glare.
"Sorry Palutena, but this is the power I've been looking for," Junmei answered. "This is the balance I've been seeking."
"Then you leave me no choice, Autoreticle!" Palutena raised her staff, locking onto Junmei and firing several blasts of light towards her.
[DUAL BOW!]
Junmei quickly stepped back, dismissing the Dual Claw before raising her right arm forward. A blue gauntlet with clear rimming appeared over her right forearm. It also had a Smash Token slot alongside two blades in similar appearance to the Palutena Bow forming a crossbow-like configuration. Taking aim she began firing arrows of light that pierced through and destroyed the blasts coming from Palutena.
Palutena stepped back in surprise, "These reflexes."
"Like I said, it's a perfect balance," Junmei then slotted in Marth's Smash Token into her Dual Bow gauntlet.
[MARTH: DUAL SHOOTING!]
Palutena quickly brought her Reflect Barrier, strengthening it as she stood her ground, "That won't work."
"We'll see about that!" Junmei called out as she braced herself and fired out from her bow. A sword of pure light shot forward, striking against the barrier. Despite the barriers ability to reflect the projectile, it was having trouble trying to force it back, the tip of the sword trying and slowly piercing through.
Palutena's eyes widened, "W-What?!"
Junmei immediately drew out Marth's Smash Token before taking aim, firing several arrows of light directly at the pommel of the sword of light she sent out. Each arrow pushed forward, further and further before the sword pierced through the barrier, striking Palutena in the chest and exploding into a bright pillar of light on contact.
"Lady Palutena!" Pit called out before yelping as he dodged several missiles.
Palutena gasped out as she skidded backwards from the attack, using her ability to float to catch her as she began to pant a bit, "W-What is this power…"
"The power of Duality," Junmei answered in a coy fashion before dismissing her gauntlet and entering a fighting stance, "Now let's start the real battle."
EPISODE 21 - DARK RULERS SIEGE:
With Hyrule as confirmed under siege, Samus sends orders to Kenshin to head over to help out. Kenshin however is so blinded in his own goals that he ignores Samus' orders, especially with Metal Face's continued presence in Smash City. Going off a tip he manages to find a lead on Zero only to be caught in a trap by Metal Face. In a surprising display of luck, both Mega Man and Shulk were nearby, the two coming to assist Kenshin. Zero then shows up and despite the two Smasher's warnings, Kenshin gives chase after Zero.
Ganondorf uses a corrupted Zelda Smash Token to create the Wicked Ruler Malice. He also gifts her the Young Link Smash Token to utilize, her powers allowing her to create an army of Malice-like beings known as Scrub Warriors. With Ganondorf, the Dark Emperor, the Malice's and Subspace Army, Hyrule is quickly overwhelmed.
Despite having a versatile arsenal, Eiji is quickly overwhelmed despite his and Byleth's best efforts. The two are captured and locked in the castle while Zelda is captured taken to Subspace. Link meanwhile had managed to escape, his mission being to gather allies from nearby to help with a counter siege. With Hyrule slowly going under Subspace control, and Kenshin not responding, Junmei is ordered to head down to Hyrule to try and resolve the situation.
EPISODE 22 - THE ASSISTED REBELLION:
Eiji finds out that he and Byleth were not the only ones to end up in the dungeon. Various Mii Fighters alongside Simon Belmont and Shovel Knight were also captured. Eiji and Byleth end up having a much needed talk, the teacher expressing that Eiji shouldn't feel bad for needing or wanting help. That he doesn't have to be the only hero that fights to save the day. While this doesn't entirely convince Eiji, he realizes that he'd be a bit stupid to ignore help that's right in front of him. By utilizing various Brawler Mii Fighter hand to hand talents, the grouping of warriors manage to perform a jail break to reclaim their gear and weapons.
Ganondorf is ready to confront them when he's stopped by Link who arrived with help in the form of Midna, Richter, Erdrick and Solo. The five manage to distract Ganondorf enough for the Eiji to defeat the Wicked Ruler as his rider form. Junmei meanwhile uses Rosalina's Launch Star's to get to Hyrule as fast as possible, utilizing Seraph of Duality to fight and defeat the Dark Emperor. With his forces easily destroyed thanks to the heroes counterattack, Ganondorf is forced to retreat back to Subspace.
Kenshin meanwhile manages to find Zero, utilizing Thunder Shinobi to keep up with the reploid's quick attacks. Sayomi suddenly intervenes, forcing Kenshin to use NintenTrinity to help him keep up. The Kamen Rider admits however that he was hoping one of them would show up. He figured if he kept the pressure on their agents that they'd be forced to step in. He then demands that Sayomi tells him what she knows about his parents and their death. Sayomi can't help but remark about how selfish Kenshin is, the fight continuing a bit further before she leaves with Zero. Despite holding his own quite well against the Subspace Commander, he can't help but feel frustrated with his lack of answers.
EPISODE 23 - BEFORE THE STORM:
An emergency meeting is called into session as King Dedede, Samus, Peach and Palutena convene with the three Kamen Riders. Due to all the attacks, Marth, Tiki, Mewtwo and Zelda have all been captured by the Subspace Army. They need a plan to counter the Subspace Army before the situation grows worse. The plan soon comes to fruition as Dr. Mario interrupts, suggesting that they use Kenshin's latent Subspace powers to open up a gateway to launch a rescue mission/counterattack.
The plan is agreed upon and the team is slowly being brought together. Kenshin, Junmei and Eiji will spearhead the operation as the three Kamen Riders the World of Smash has. They will be accompanied by Samus, Captain Falcon and Cloud of CORE. Other members being picked from all around the world are also Terry, Byleth, Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Chrom, and Mega Man.
As the mission is under way, everyone gets a chance to relax, the three Riders being able to just talk to each other since they have time to themselves. Of course Samus also uses this lull in activity to chew out Kenshin on him ignoring her orders. When Kenshin reluctantly admits what's wrong, she questions if learning if Tabuu was involved would change anything. The fact is that Kenshin was already choosing to fight against Tabuu and his forces before, so what would change other than Tabuu's list of crimes against the World of Smash alongside Earth growing? With a renewed mindset, Kenshin is able to step forward past his anger.
Dr. Mario's tests and usage of Kenshin's latent powers end up proving to be a success. So much so that Dr. Mario adds in a few more features to the Token Driver, one of which is to utilize the center slot. Dr. Mario creates a large Tabuu Token for Kenshin to utilize as a powerful finisher. However the finisher can only be activated by Platform Blazer due to Mario and Luigi being the first two Tokens he transformed with. Once preparations are completed, the trio of Riders enters Subspace with their entourage of allies. Of course awaiting them at the entrance are all the villains native to the world of Smash that had joined up with the Subspace Army.
EPISODE 24 - ALL OUT WAR:
Samus and most of the other Smashers charge forward to start an all out war against the Subspace Army. Kenshin moves on ahead with Junmei, Terry, Eiji and Byleth, the group of five rushing through chaos of the large battle with ease. Through the chaos of the larger battle, small victories are won as a result. The resulting casualties for the Subspace Army end up being Petey Piranha's loss and capture at the hands of Mario, Ridley is heavily scarred by Samus and is forced to retreat, while Ganondorf uses Ghirahim as a shield to retreat against an attacking Link, the servant of darkness being destroyed in the process. Other notable defeats end up being Corrin and Samurai Goroh, the duo being defeated and captured by the unlikely team up Chrom and Captain Falcon.
As that battle raged on, the trio of Riders and their Smasher allies end up coming across another roadblock in their search for the captured Smashers. Meijin and Sayomi end up being the next opponents for them to face, with Kenshin choosing to face both on their own. Despite everyone's warnings, Kenshin transforms into Platform Blazer to strike the first blow and allow everyone else to continue deeper into Subspace. Despite his strong start, Meijin takes the lead to fight Kenshin, slowly but surely overwhelming the Rider.
While Kenshin's fight rages, and the remaining Riders and Smasher's go in deeper, the group of Smashers from the start end up stumbling upon the captured Leaders not too far from where their battle was. Junmei and Eiji meanwhile manage to reach the deepest part of Subspace with Terry and Byleth. The four pause however when they're greeted by Tabuu. The four are ready for the worst only for their fears to grow once Tabuu reveals a new driver variant, The Subspace Driver Beta.
EPISODE 25 - THE KING DESCENDS:
Tabuu uses his new Driver to transform into Kamen Rider Tabuu. While Eiji is restricted to just being Kamen Rider Assister, Junmei immediately enters into Seraph of Duality. The two rush forward to fight against the dark Kamen Rider alongside Terry and Byleth. Eiji ends up being one of the first knocked out of the fight, Assister being unable to keep up despite its diversity. Terry and Byleth are both forced back as well due to the raw power Tabuu is exhibiting. Junmei is the only of the four to be able to just barely keep up with Tabuu in her strongest form. As this goes on Tabuu begins to explain how he managed to get to this level.
He talks about how after his defeat there were small anomalies and cracks all over in his small Subspace. Even in his weakened state he was able to find small cracks in Subspace that lead to other realms. His path had crossed with two others, Retsu and Houka Yukimura, Junmei and Kenshin's father and mother. The two were lead researchers in other worlds and dimensions, their research producing sufficient enough results for funding. They had eventually found Subspace, discovering a crack to it in their world as well. Both parties had made contact and while it looked like a new discovery was on the horizon, both Retsu and Houka were hesitant to continue.
The two could feel the malicious intent behind Tabuu's words, the duo realizing it being best if they cut and shut down the project. The two decided to lie, saying that despite their research the funding was inevitably going to be cut. Tabuu however didn't take this lightly, choosing to destroy the two alongside their co-workers and frame the whole facility explosion as an accident. He had also done this due to a key detail he had found out during his brief interactions with the parents, that they had a pair of kids. He knew that he could grow his power if he had the right conduit. So he wanted both Kenshin and Junmei to live harder lives via the death of their parents, wishing for a lonelier and wanting nature to fester. Utilizing Galeem and Dharkon's attacks as smokescreen he was able to operate without any issues. He would wait until the two grew older, into the perfect hosts. Tabuu ends it with saying that Junmei should know the rest since she should remember what clearly happened after he found the two.
Kenshin meanwhile despite going for Calamity Hero and NintenTrinity in rapid succession he can barely make a dent in Meijin's defense. Being pushed to the brink he reverts to Platform Blazer, utilizing the Tabuu Token to launch a massive fiery energy sphere towards Meijin. Sayomi steps in, her and Meijin easily batting the attack back at Kenshin while infusing it with their Subspace power to make it stronger.
The Kamen Rider is struck by the attack but is oddly enough not hurt, the Tabuu Token reacting and absorbing all the Subspace energy from the attack before dispersing the fighters. Kenshin enters a trance-like state as his base form now gained a blue shine to its armor. Subconsciously utilizing Tabuu's powers he begins to counter and push back both Meijin and Sayomi. Despite a desperation finisher from the two Commanders, Kenshin is able to easily brush past it and send them flying. The two Subspace Commanders are completely stunned as they lay defeated from the display.
Kenshin's fight had ended up going so far off course from where it was originally was that the remaining Smasher's had completely missed it as they made it to where Tabuu was fighting Junmei instead. Despite everyone pitching in and trying to fight against Tabuu, his Rider form is too strong for them to put a proper dent in it. Everyone fears the worst before Kenshin suddenly arrives out of his transformation. Nearly everyone is in shock however as Kenshin looks a few years older in appearance, having returned to his original age. Tabuu meanwhile is in shock that both his commanders were defeated.
Episode 25 - Kamen Rider Tabuu Transformation:
"Finally… I can truly surpass my old limitations," Tabuu spoke with a distorted chuckle, floating down in his usual curled and pressed together form. His limbs began to separate themselves from each other as he entered a more human-like stance.
"Why does this feel so wrong?" Terry asked.
"Because it just does," Eiji shivered a bit.
Byleth and Junmei however were both on guard as they waited for Tabuu's next move.
The Ruler of Subspace gave a chuckle as he held out his hands, a distortion forming before he soon held a black oval buckle with a clear dome-like center on it. Various crack-styled lines ran from the center to the sides with a single button being on top. He let go of it as it floated down before going near his waist, a silver strap formed, attaching the buckle to his body.
[SUBSPACE DRIVER BETA]
"What is the word you all use…?" Tabuu asked though it was more of a rhetorical question as he chuckled before slamming his right fist down onto the top button, "Ah yes… Henshin!"
The clear portions of the belt became a rainbow of colors as a dark orb emerged from it, engulfing Tabuu in what seemed to be a miniature Subspace Bomb explosion.
[HE DESCENDS! THE RULER OF SUBSPACE: KAMEN RIDER TABUU!]
The orb shattered to reveal Tabuu's new form. It was a bright blue bodysuit with various silver circuit markings all over it, the silver shining different colors at different light angles. Over the bodysuit were thin forearm, shoulder, chest, stomach, thigh, and shin armor. On the armor was the pattern of his wings done up in silver as if they were spread over him. He sported a dark blue waist coat with silver lining alongside a rounded helmet that held a singular eye that held a rainbow of colors, shifting constantly.
"Here we go… Kamen Rider Tabuu has arrived," Tabuu spread his arms out.
"Like hell you are," Junmei hissed out as she readied her Token Driver, "We'll scrap that belt faster than you can get used to it!"
Tabuu could only chuckle before holding out his hand, as if beckoning them to charge, "You're welcome to try."
Episode 25 - Kamen Rider Smash Omen Form:
"Alright then..."
[FOR GLORY! SPECIAL!]
Kenshin gave a yell as he pressed down on both sides of his Driver, power flowing into the center as the Tabuu Token in the center reacted in turn just like Dr. Mario had said. His body unleashed a torrent of red, green and blue flames.
[SPECIAL PLATFORM BLAZER K.O.!]
"I'll take you out with this attack!" Kenshin called out as he held his hands forward, the flames spiraling together to create a large orb of blue energy surrounded by white flames. With one more yell Kenshin pushed forward, the large energy attack hurtling towards Meijin.
Meijin's eyes widened underneath his mask as he held his stance while the attack got closer… and closer…
[SMASH TOKEN CONFIRMED: SLASHING FORMATION!]
Sayomi gave a yell as she got in the way of the attack, stabbing her blade into it as she poured all of her power into the attack, managing to just barely hold it back. She gave a bit of a laugh, "Got to say this is good, too bad you were stupid to think I wouldn't jump in!"
Meijin gave a chuckle, "While I would be annoyed… I appreciate it Sayomi."
[SMASH TOKEN CONFIRMED: STRIKING FORMATION!]
Meijin loaded Bowser's Smash Token into his gauntlets as he gathered his energy before thrusting forward, "Withdraw your hands!"
Sayomi quickly let go of her blade just as Meijin struck his palm against the sword, the combination attack halting the energy attacks movements before Meijin forced both his and Sayomi's latent energies into the attack. As a result once he pushed further the large sphere of blue engulfed in white flames grew larger and hurtled back towards Kenshin.
Kenshin gave a gasp as he slammed his palms forward, managing to catch the sphere only to give a groan as he was slowly but surely pushed backwards by it. "Come on…" He gritted his teeth as he tried to push back, "COME ON!"
"It's over," Meijin gave a chuckle as he rubbed his wrist.
Kenshin gave a frustrated cry before yelling out as he was struck by the energy. Unbeknownst to everyone, including Kenshin, the Tabuu Smash Token began to react as it began drawing in the latent and extra energy from the attack just as it exploded against the Kamen Rider.
The attack soon exploded into a pillar of blue light and white flames, it illuminating the area around them as a crater was now where Kenshin once stood. Or rather, the crater was now where Kenshin still stood.
Meijin couldn't believe his eyes at first, through the smoke he could just barely notice an armored shape being seen. Sayomi raised an eyebrow as she went to retrieve her weapon, the two a bit surprised but impressed that Kenshin had managed to survive that sort of attack.
"Just what's going on?" Sayomi asked.
"I'm not sure," Meijin admitted.
An invisible force shook through the area as the smoke cleared away from where Kenshin was standing. He was still in his Platform Blazer form but something was different. The bodysuit was now a pure black while the armor shined a bright blue, his visors eyes shining a bright red.
"What is…?" Meijin couldn't even finish as suddenly Kamen Rider Smash appeared in front of him in an instant, "What?!" He quickly punched forward to try and hit the Rider.
Smash didn't even say a word as he ducked underneath and sent a powerful punch to Meijin's gut. Watching the Subspace Commander stagger while raising his arms, the Kamen Rider sent a kick to break that guard before slamming his foot into Meijin's gut once more.
Meijin coughed as he staggered back, unsure of what was even happening at the moment, "These reflexes… the fact that he appeared in an instant!"
Sayomi gave a yell as she slashed at Smash only for the Rider to disappear. She gave a gasp as a gold rope wrapped around her waist, being spun around before her face suddenly met Smash's fist as he sucker punched her just as he turned her around.
"No way… did he just unlock his latent Subspace Abilities?!" Meijin questioned.
Sayomi skidded back near her partner, giving a growl, "That explains the color scheme!"
"We'll finish this in one go!" Meijin loaded his Smash Token once more.
"Right," Sayomi called out s she did the same.
[SMASH TOKEN CONFIRMED]
[SLASHING FORMATION!]
[STRIKING FORMATION!]
Sayomi quickly crouched down before putting her katana into a reverse grip, as if sheathing it. Meijin meanwhile gathered energy into his fists as he pounded them together.
[FOR GLORY! SPECIAL!]
Smash soon began to walk forward, undeterred by the announcements as he initiated his own finisher.
Sayomi gave a yell as she slashed forward, the area darkening as Meijin slammed his palms into the ground. Soon enough pillars of flame and purple slashes that cut through anything they touched began to surround and approach the Kamen Rider.
Smash said nothing as any time a slash or pillar nearly hit him as he simply warped away while walking calmly. No matter where the attack was, how close both attacks were to hitting him at the same time, or their speed, he simply walked and warped past them all.
[SPECIAL PLATFORM BLAZER K.O.!]
He suddenly appeared beside the crouched Meijin, kicking outwards and slamming his foot past him and into Sayomi's gut. An explosive force of red, green and blue flames erupted from where he had kicked, the force of the attack blowing Sayomi far away with a scream.
Meijin had turned and spun, staggering from the explosion. He was ready to initiate his finisher again when he suddenly saw Kamen Rider Smash in front of him. Except this time the Rider had his Smash Knuckle out with the Tabuu Smash Token loaded inside.
[TABUU: RIDER SMASH!]
A multicolored fist full of energy struck Meijin directly in the chest, the energy pouring from the weapon to the Subspace Commanders chest. Soon enough an explosion of a multitude of colors appeared, Meijin yelling as he was thrown backwards at high speeds from the attack.
Smash simply lowered his arm as the new coloration fading, Platform Blazers normal coloring returning as Kenshin began to take a few heavy breaths.
EPISODE 26 - HELLFIRE IN SUBSPACE:
Junmei is in near shock to see her brother back to the way he was, quickly tossing him her Lucina Token for him to utilize. Kenshin then proceeds to fight Tabuu while utilizing another of Dr. Mario's enhancements to the Token Driver. The quick swap function allows Kenshin to immediately swap to a different form if he takes too much damage instead of losing his transformations. Starting at NintenTrinity he moves to Familial Swordmaster before shifting to Calamity Hero. As Tabuu keeps up his attacks, Kenshin keeps pace despite reverting to Thunder Shinobi, Lylat Outlaw, and finally being forced into Platform Blazer.
Despite not being told what Junmei was told about their parents, their clashes causing both former host and parasite to resonate with each other. Kenshin as a result is given flashes of events that had occurred from Tabuu's point of view. Kenshin understands the whole store and while he's on his last legs seemingly, still taunts the lord of Subspace. Tabuu moves in while Kenshin initiates his plan, lulling Tabuu into a false sense of security while loading the Tabuu Token into his Smash Knuckle, nailing the Subspace Ruler in the gut. Utilizing the tokens ability to absorb Subspace energy he takes a huge chunk of it from Tabuu causing it to be super charged and change design slightly.
Kenshin utilizes the Tabuu Token in his Driver again, it resonating with Platform Blazer that it results in a new transformation. Between Mario, Luigi and Tabuu's powers, Kamen Rider Smash: Subspace Inferno is born. Subspace Inferno is able to utilize the Tri-Saber and Smash Knuckle in tandem, utilizing both at full power to easily push back and overwhelm Tabuu. Kenshin keeps pushing and pushing, destroying Tabuu's Rider Form and working on destroying Tabuu himself.
Despite Tabuu's claims that Kenshin will become just like him, the Kamen Rider denies that he will. Kenshin reaffirms his belief in his sister, his friends, and his allies, how they'll help him no matter what. With their words said, Kenshin immediately dispatches and destroys Tabuu before meeting up with the others. Surprisingly his aging up was only temporary as his appearance is back to the way it was when he first arrived in the World of Smash. Everyone regroups and celebrates as they all exit Subspace, the mission a success.
Episode 26 - Kamen Rider Smash Subspace Inferno Debut:
Kenshin gritted his teeth as he was blasted backwards by Tabuu, stumbling as he landed on his knees as he reverted one final time, this time to his first and base form.
[KAMEN RIDER SMASH: PLATFORM BLAZER!]
"And you're back to your first form…" Tabuu chuckled a bit. "I suppose that your words were merely bravado. A bark without a bite…"
"Is that so…" Kenshin called out as he gathered fire in his left fist while he raised his Smash Knuckle with his right hand. "Let's test that theory then…"
"If you think your next attack will work then I'm sorry to say but you're out of your mind," Tabuu remarked.
"Kenshin…" Junmei trailed.
"I've got this," Kenshin gave a soft chuckle when he heard his sister's words. He soon gave a yell as he raised his left arm before slamming his fist into the ground. He poured fire into the ground at an angle, it cracking before launching molten rocks directly towards Tabuu.
"You didn't carelessly try to close the distance…" Tabuu remarked as he waved his hand forward, energy bullets manifesting and launching out to strike against the molten rocks, creating an explosive cover of smoke. "I'll give you points for that!"
Kenshin launched out of the smoke, hurtling towards Tabuu while going for several rapid kicks to the chest and face. His attacks had landed as Tabuu took a step back from the force of it, not feeling the need to put up a defense.
Tabuu could only chuckle, while Kenshin's explosive power was great, the intensity behind his non special attacks was poor. While kicking was a strong suit of the Mario Bros, he didn't seem to be using that power in any good fashion. He had to admit that the feint with the Smash Knuckle was interesting, he wasn't expecting a kick, he was expecting a…
[TABUU: RIDER SMASH!]
Tabuu gave an audible gasp as he heard this only to cough and yell out as he was slammed in the stomach by Kenshin's Smash Knuckle. Tabuu immediately grabbed onto Kenshin's arm with both hands, coughing, "You…!"
"You fell for it," Kenshin gave a chuckle as he used his free on to grab hold of Tabuu's left arm. "Who's out of their mind now?"
"You did light kicks on purpose… didn't you?" Tabuu asked with another cough. "You wanted me to cockily leave my guard open…"
"Right on the money, I guess you thought the Smash Knuckle was just for show too," Kenshin gave a chuckle as he pressed the weapon in deeper. "I used the explosive cover you so generously provided to load in your Smash Token without being heard."
"Clever… but…" Tabuu soon brought out his wings, his intent planning on blowing Kenshin away with the force of them.
"Kenshin get out of there!" Samus called out.
"Nope, I've got him just where I want him," Kenshin replied in a calm manner.
Tabuu let out a gasp as his wings began to fade, his body beginning to glow blue as that glow began focusing on one point. That point being the Smash Knuckle, or rather the Tabuu Token attached to the fist based weapon.
Kenshin crouched before kicking back, letting go of Tabuu as he managed to slip out of the shocked Subspace Rulers grasp. Skidding back Kenshin landed in a crouched state as he drew out the Tabuu Smash Token which began to glow. Instead of the usual clear crystal rimming it had now turned gold, and the normal profile image of Tabuu had turned to him with his wings spread out.
"Now it's time…" Kenshin called out as he flicked the coin into the air, catching it before slotting it onto his Driver, "Let me show you… my Henshin!"
[SUB-SMASH FUSION!]
Pressing down on both sides of his Token Driver he was engulfed in a bright blue light as green and red flames began to encircle and wrap around the light.
[MARIO! LUIGI! SPECIAL FUSE: TABUU!]
The light and flames cracked before shattering off of Kenshin's body, the fragments becoming mirror-like as Kenshin's new form was in full view. He held a dark green bodysuit with various dark red hardened and jagged armor pieces with cracks running through them. It was as if the armor was that of a volcano's crust. It covered his chest, back, shoulders, forearms, hands, and the front of his thighs, alongside his shins and boots. The helmet held the same jagged and hardened charred look, it holding two bright blue bug-like compound eyes that shined brightly, the crusher jaw being molded into the helmet like a rock sculpture. On both sides of the head was a dull Smash Symbol covering each ear piece. Kenshin gripped his fists as the cracks of the armor began to glow a rainbow of colors, the glow of colors flowing as if it were multicolored lava.
[THE ERUPTING SUBSPACE WARIOR! KAMEN RIDER SMASH: SUBSPACE INFERNO!]
"W-What…?" Tabuu could only stare in surprise.
"Wait… but I thought he couldn't transform with that?" Eiji asked. "Am I missing something…?"
"I think he used the Smash Token to draw more power from Tabuu into it," Samus theorized as she tried to get a read on the new form with her suits scanners but was unable to. "And it powered it up enough for it to be utilized as a form and not just a Special Finisher."
"That's my brother for you!" Junmei laughed.
"You'll pay…" Tabuu hissed out as he gripped his fists, his wings forming once more as he used them to float, "You'll pay for using my power for an inferior power like that!" He yelled as he launched himself towards Kenshin.
Kenshin gritted his teeth as he was grabbed by Tabuu, being carried upwards into the air by the Ruler of Subspace. He gave a light yelp as he was let go, starting to fall as he quickly brought out his Tri-Saber, still having access to it in this new form.
Tabuu simply formed a sword of light, giving a growl as he began slashing against Kenshin. While he had the advantage of being able to fly while Kenshin fell, he was growing more annoyed when his slashes were blocked, parried, or barely avoided.
Kenshin just barely managed to get Tabuu to pass him before he suddenly felt something tugging at his gut, the familiar gold chain being seen.
"Just fall!" Tabuu yelled out as he reeled the Kamen Rider in before slamming his foot into the Rider's gut.
Kenshin gave a yell as the chain was dismissed, getting sent hurtling down by the kick as a result. However before he fell further he managed to right himself to where he was falling feet first. Soon a glow appeared on his back as the familiar butterfly wings of Tabuu formed. With the wings stopping his descent he launched upwards into the sky.
Tabuu could only stare in surprise, "What?!"
Kenshin flew higher and higher before spreading out his wings, looking down at Tabuu, "Did you forget who this form is based off of?! I won't fall that easily!" He then shot downwards, brandishing his sword in his right hand while he summoned the Smash Knuckle in his left.
Colorful clashes began to fill the sky of Subspace, multi-colored and blue streams of light running across the sky as they clashed against each other in rapid succession. Tabuu had formed an energy claw with his free hand so he could Kenshin's set up as he clashed continuously with the Kamen Rider. He gave a cough however when he was smacked in to chest by the Tri-Saber, falling backwards towards the ground.
Kenshin flew downwards to catch up with Tabuu, spinning and dodging out of the way of several energy claw attacks before a larger one was unleashed. Not having time he crossed his arms as it engulfed him and exploded.
"There we go!" Tabuu called out as he fell.
[FOX: RIDER SMASH!]
Kenshin shot out of the explosion as the familiar shape of Fox's barrier shattered from defending against the attack, his Smash Knuckle held forward. His Tri-Saber's blade began flashing between red, yellow and green, the flashes becoming quicker and quicker.
[TRI-END: TRINITY BREAK!]
Tabuu gave a yell as he the flashing blade stabbed into his chest armor, it digging deep as he questioned the new function of the weapon. That was until he saw that the Ninten-Trinity Smash Token was in the slot instead of the other three. That of course didn't satiate his curiosity, "How?"
"It was your powers that gave birth to the Smash Tokens, thus I can manipulate the ones on me as a result," Kenshin called out as he dismissed his Smash Knuckle, using his free hand to press against the hilt of his sword. "Thus I can summon them directly to my weapon!" He yelled as he pushed forward, a colorful explosion erupting from the tip of his sword that sent Tabuu hurtling to the ground.
The Subspace Ruler could only stare in stunned silence as he slammed into the ground, an explosion happening as he impacted against it.
Samus and Junmei could only stare in shock at what they were seeing. Junmei was barely able to break even, but here Kenshin was matching and overwhelming Tabuu singlehandedly.
"Is… is it over?" Eiji asked.
Kenshin slowly but surely landed, dismissing his Tri-Saber but walking towards the crater, "No, it's not over… not yet."
Tabuu began to hack and cough as he stood, his chest armor now having a visible crack and gap in it, his glowing blue original form being seen underneath the damage.
"Lucky shot…" Tabuu trailed.
"Tabuu, this nightmare ends today," Kenshin called out in a firm voice as he walked forward.
"Oh something ends today alright…" Tabuu coughed as he began to step forward.
EPISODE 27 - WHAT COMES NEXT:
Tabuu is revealed to be alive but just barely, his current state being considerably weakened due to Kenshin's finisher in Subspace Inferno also siphoning power from him. It had been a week since the invasion into Subspace and Tabuu had yet to fully recover. So both Meijin and Sayomi take advantage of this, the two realizing this is their chance. The two challenge Tabuu and easily defeat him by using his own abilities and skills against him. Tabuu is soon killed by the two, the commanders absorbing his remaining life essence and energy to power them up further.
The two decide that they need to restructure the Subspace Army, taking command and declaring Tabuu as dead to all the available members. The two then decide it's time to go one step beyond Malice, both of them revealing to their scientists that they have the last remaining origin Smash Tokens. Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, Ness and Kirby's tokens are the ones of which they will use in their counterattack against Smash.
Eiji meanwhile is a bit bummed out by the whole situation despite the rescue mission being a success. While he's fine with working with both Kenshin and Junmei, it's clear that they're getting stronger while all he has is his versatility. Byleth notices this and suggests to Eiji that they head back to Altea for some training but Eiji seems to not care much for it.
Kenshin meanwhile is being studied further, having memories that belong to Tabuu's surface alongside a lot of old memories that he had lost from playing host to him. Dr. Mario though is worried about Subspace Inferno as he noticed a latent ability of it that came up while studying it. Subspace Inferno allows the user to grow and will continually build in power the further it gets used due to Kenshin's awakening Subspace biology. He's wondering if Kenshin will be able to handle that kind of growth in power.
Of course things seem to be getting back to normal as RetroMachina shows up one last time. Kenshin arrives and uses Subspace Inferno to easily defeat it after remembering the last time he had encountered it. Of course its final mission was a simple one, feed one final burst of data on Smash to complete the Subspace Drivers. Thanks to Kenshin utilizing a Subspace based form, the data was enough to start full development on the true Subspace Drivers.
And there we have it, Episodes 19 to 27 all summarized on what I was planning to do with the series up to that point. I've still got more Episodes to get through and summarize but I figured I'd get these out here. I also decided to write little one-shot blurbs of certain important moments like new forms and such, I figured those would be neat to see. It's as I said, I don't plan on leaving anyone who reads this story hanging.
