Chapter 20
"What is this?"
Hermione held up the small wrapped box Draco had given her in the air.
"It's a gift, open it." Draco watched her lower the box and stare at it. He lifted his brow. "Well…open it."
Hermione frowned. "What is it Draco?"
Draco rolled his eyes. "Honestly! I can't give you a gift for our anniversary?"
Hermione gasped.
"Wha—our, our anniversary?"
Draco nodded slowly. "It's 6 months today, exactly."
Hermione looked at him, then down to the box in her hands. Her cheeks grew hot. Who would have known Draco would remember such a thing, let alone give her a gift.
"I don't know what to say..I—
"I don't want you to say anything, I want you to open the box."
Hermione tried her best not to smile too hard. Her hands shook a little as she removed the ribbon from the small box.
Draco stood and eyed her expectantly.
Hermione swallowed hard when she opened the box. "Oh..Draco I—
…
Blaise let his wand tap slowly against the table as he waited for Theodore to sit down. Draco let out a groan when Theodore stood again adruptly.
"Honestly! Can we get this over with?"
Blaise's taps on the table didn't stop.
"I have no new developments." Theodore patted his suit and began to pace the room.
"So sit down and tell us when you'll be leaving Hogwarts." Blaise raised his wand ever so slightly and motioned towards the chair in front of him. "Sit. Down."
Theodore looked between Draco and Blaise nervously. "Fine." He sat down slowly.
"Why don't you just leave and do whatever else the ministry has planned for you, why stay if you've changed your mind about you "followers?"
Theodore scoffed. "Who says I've changed my mind?"
"You just said you—
"He's toying with us." Blaise glared at Theodore, growing impatient.
"Let's just say..I've set my sights on a new plan..for the moment."
Draco stood adruptly. "Whatever you have planned just leave us out of it! Go back to Azkaban for all I care! Tell my father I say hello!" He straightened his suit, giving Blaise a nod and leaving the two of them.
"Well..I must say that's a bit drama—
"You and your games..why don't you just tell me what you have planned so I can end it before it begins?"
Theodore laughed. "What's the fun in that?"
At this Blaise stood slowly. He looked down at his wand. "I don't need this to end you, you know?"
He gave Theodore an icy stare.
"Blaise, we don't have to be enemies..I would never—
"Stay away from Luna."
Theodore's face dropped.
Blaise rolled his eyes. "Whatever plot you've got brewing beyond that one, I'll figure it out. Just like I've figured out your intentions with her. You will stay away from her and—
Theodore sighed. "Blaise, honestly. You've let your mother make you paranoid with her false visions, there is nothing between Luna and I—
"You and I both know her visions are never false."
Theodore swallowed hard. Blaise straightened and put his wand away.
"Neither are mine."
…
"Mione, you know what this is don't you?"
Hermione took her gold bracelet away from Ginny and traced it over her wrist. "I've never seen one before in person."
"They're bloody expensive beyond reason might have something to do with that."
Ginny poked Hermione playfully. "Though nothing is too expensive for you now Mrs. Malfoy."
Hermione rolled her eyes at that. "It is…lovely."
"So..what of the rest of your day?"
Hermione blushed. "Can you believe I forgot? Am I the only person who forgets such things, honestly. Did everyone else have plans?"
Ginny's eyes wandered. "Not, everyone."
Hermione patted her shoulder. "Are you and Blaise still quarreling, it's been a week already."
Ginny sighed. "I'm trying my best..but I feel so far from him these days. It's like we're back where we started before all of this, you're falling in love and we're just growing apart."
Hermione frowned at this. "Ginny, nothing is perfect all of the time."
Ginny groaned. "I don't want things to be perfect. I just want to know what troubles him so…I just.. I don't know."
Hermione nodded slowly. "Here we were thinking I got the nightmare."
They both laughed.
"The verdict hasn't come in on that one yet I suppose."
Hermione giggled. "No, I guess it hasn't."
Ginny sucked in breath then exhaled loudly. "Maybe, tonight can be good! I can turn things around. I don't like this tension in the air, its no fun!"
Hermione smiled. "That's the spirit!"
Ginny nodded. "And you?"
Hermione locked the bracelet in place on her wrist and smiled mischievously. "Tonight I think…seems like a good night to stay in."
…
"You're sure Madam Promfry?" Harry wiped sweat from his brow as he took in what Madam Promfry was telling him. "You're absolutely sure?"
Madam Promfry sighed annoyed. "Am I the nurse or—?"
Pansy rolled her eyes at Harry. He looked down at her his eyes wide.
"We're having twins?! You're sure, you—
"YES!" Pansy and Madam Promfry exclaimed loudly.
Harry leaned away from Pansy's bed and sat down slowly. He didn't know if he wanted to jump or vomit.
…..
"Thank you for helping me carry all of this Blaise, I don't know wear my shoes have gone this time." Luna let out an airy sigh as she balanced her books, bag and potions bag clumsily.
"No problem at all Luna, glad to help." Blaise grabbed a book atop Luna's pile before she dropped it. "Always glad to help."
Luna smiled.
"You always seem to be around these days."
Blaise paused as they entered her common room. "I realize Neville is not."
Luna hummed softly to herself. "He's gotten an awful lot of projects with Hagrid lately, I haven't seen him in weeks.."
Blaise frowned. "That's curious."
Luna didn't hear him as she unpacked her books unto a table. "I find ways to keep busy of course."
Blaise turned to go. "Well I should—
"Theodore's been a great companion."
Blaise stopped cold. Luna continued to hum as she unloaded her bags.
"Theodore?"
Luna looked up at him and smiled. "Yes, yes Theodore. Theo. I must be grateful to you for giving me such a lovely new friend."
Blaise turned back to her.
"Luna, Theodore is no friend of yours, you really should—
"Blaise." Luna turned to him slowly.
"Yes, Luna?"
"Curiously enough, he tells me the same thing about you."
Blaise groaned. "Luna, Theodore is—
She shrugged ushering him toward the door. "I make no judgments on your past Blaise and yet I've allowed you to tail me around Hogwarts for months."
Blaise stared her down. "You know I've been—
"I know you've been worried."
Blaise nodded slowly. "I worry about your safety with Neville gone..its not safe for you alone with him."
"We're never alone."
Blaise exhaled. "Good to know."
"Stop worrying about me, it's your anniversary."
"Aw yes, yes, it is."
Blaise turned to go.
"I'm sorry Luna, I didn't mean to pry, I just..
"I should be saying thank you. So thank you."
Blaise nodded, looking her up and down before he left. Maybe she was right. Maybe Theodore was no threat to her at all. Maybe he was lonely, isolated by everyone else and he needed a friend. Maybe.
…
Hermione took one last look at herself in the mirror before she tied her silk robe and left the bath.
Draco looked up at her as he began to undress.
"Well..well..I never thought I'd see that robe again." He smirked removing his shoes.
"Tonight is a special occasion." Hermione unfastened her robe and moved to the bed. She pulled the blankets up to her neck then discarded the robe on the floor.
Draco raised his brow. "Oh?"
Hermione nodded.
"But before you said—
"It appears my mind can be changed."
Draco began to undress faster than he ever had before and jumped into bed with her.
….
Headmaster McGonagall tapped her fingers along her desk. "You have impressed me this quarter, I cannot deny that Mr. Nott."
Theodore smiled. "I have done my best to follow every rule."
McGonagall sighed. "I see no reason to withhold you from joining your peers now in marriage.." She paused looking deep into Theodore's eyes. "Under the ministries guidance of course, we will pair you accordingly…we appreciate your efforts and hope you'll appreciate our patience as we work to provide you with an adequate partner."
Theodore smiled widely. "I am looking forward to a fitting match."

A/N: Wow. April 2019, last update. Almost a year later. Here I am! I cannot believe people still follow this story. I can't believe this is Chapter 20. I can't believe how much I still like this story. I appreciate all of your reviews so much, I appreciate those of you who DM'd me asking me to keep going! I am excited to give each character a decent end. I'm thinking..just THINKING about doing a sequel to this..but each chapter will be about each pairing after..well after the ending to this. Let's just get to the end shall we! Haha. I said 25 chapters, I will try to keep it at that but there's still so much to brew up. I admit reading through the whole story I put more interest into Blaise/Ginny because I genuinely liked them more when I started this fic, but I want more gushy Dramione scenes! Harry and Pansy are thrown in for fun but c'mon how fun?! I have missed this story! I have missed you all! Who is excited to see how this ends?! I can't wait to pump out the last 5 chapters!
