As the groups ventured in, the forest began to grow more alive than what they expected. Each team split their ways and headed down different paths of the forest. Scourge and Fiona headed down a much more dreary path which they actually enjoyed. Sally and Cream headed down a much calmer and less trees to block their ways. Shark and Bolt headed off down the middle of the path, and Sonic and Amy headed off towards a few lumpy hills. Each team was holding their phones, their flashlights, and a small map to help them find their way in and out. They only needed to be there for a few hours till they could leave. Much to some of their dismay.
Sally and Cream continued their way through with Cream holding the phone tightly in her hands, and Sally guiding them with her flashlight. The two were still talking about some interesting things which was helping them calm down, "S-So...I wanted to be a dancer." Cream stuttered clutching Sally's hand almost like she could tear it off.
She smiled down at her, "Really? Which kind? Ballet, tap, clogging..." she asked while whipping the light back and forth to each tree, then the path. Cream gulped.
"I..I really wanted to do ballet. But mom didn't think it was okay for me." she hesitated.
"Why not? I think you'd be a great dancer."
"B-Because the teacher didn't have a good time speaking English..." Sally chuckled at the thought.
"So she was like "Ladies tap here to me! No but! I but!"" she mocked making her friend giggle at her response.
Cream smiled a little at her, "No no, of course not. She was a very nice French lady. But she didn't speak English well, yet she always gave me a kind smile when I go to school" she added.
Sally nodded, "I see. She sounds-" she suddenly stopped after hearing a sound of brushing leaves against the ground was heard.
Cream clutched her tightly while her friend started moving the light back and forth trying to find whatever it was that made the noise. As the light moved over towards the trees, Sally quickly darted back to one of the branches waving the light around the area. Cream looked up at the spot, then up to her, "S-Sally?" she gulped.
The said chipmunk continued to watch closely for a few seconds before lowering her light down to the path. Her heart began to race, but she quickly calmed herself down by taking small, quiet breaths. Timid brown eyes stared at her patiently till Sally slowly turned to her and smiled, "I-It was just a bat. No need to be afraid." she affirmed her.
Slowly, she nodded, then turned her attention to the path both continuing down as they went back to talking about dances, and teachers. Yet, Sally slowly turned her attention over towards the spot where she held her light to hoping that the look of shining scales moving away from her sight was only in her mind.
Scourge and Fiona continued down their path listening in on anything around them. Scourge had his ears perked hoping to at least hear something out of the ordinary, only to be interrupted by his girlfriend's annoying babble, "I still can't believe you actually made that stupid bet. I'm your girlfriend! Not that flat chested barbie!" she nagged while throwing her arms out and around.
He rolled his eyes and groaned, "Look, baby, I get extra doe in this. Shark and Bolt will be quick to scurry on out and I'll get my fifty bucks from them." he mentioned. "I didn't just bet on those three."
Fiona stopped, then turned a heel to glare at him, "Yes, but if they lose, you get the chipmunk and hedgehog for a whole week! I don't give a damn about the rabbit, but I'm still pretty damn pissed about this!" she argued giving him a good cold stare.
He held up his hands surrendering himself to her, but still held a sly smirk, "Come on, Fi. You know me." he started. "I'm the guy who always gets what he wants. And I get you which makes you a perfect prize."
She turned back around and started walking off again letting out a huff with each stomp, "Apparently you don't give a damn about me. I know you flirt with other girls behind my back." she accused. Scourge scoffed at her.
"Oh sure, and what about you? I see you walking around town with a guy once a week, besides me! So you have no room to talk, sister!"
"Well maybe it's because I don't get enough love from you like I wanted!" she yelled having him stop his tracks.
This was kind of surprising from her. Fiona was always showing her dominant ways and not even letting others know how she wanted just one guy to love her. Sure she cheated on him, and he cheated on her, but for some reason, he always felt the need to crawl right back to her. Something about this chick was driving him nuts. He growled under his breath, "So I'm not giving you enough love?" he asked feeling a little frustrated.
Stopping in her tracks, Fiona held her head down. It was now, or never...strange it had to be in a place like this, "Scourge, I love you. I don't care if you go with another girl, hell even a boy, but I just wanted to know if you even care about me.." she started as she crossed her arms having her breasts push out a bit for being a tad big. "I even went with some guys, bad boys I should say. But with all the dominant and latex suits and the ass beatings, I don't even care anymore. To tell you the truth, I was looking forward to this, so I could at least be close to you."
Silence was all she heard. Not the kind of response she was looking for. Her eyebrows furrowed and quickly turned around to scream at her soon to be ex till she was immediately pushed up against a nearby tree with her hands secured by his. Scourge's icy cold blue eyes stared into hers seeing a bit of worry in her eyes. It intrigued him, no, it aroused him. His fangs gleamed against the moonlight as he smirked a devilish grin to her, "Fiona...you drive me crazy." he growled and quickly captured her lips in a hungry kiss.
Fiona flinched from the kiss, but immediately returned it. He released her hands and gripped the tree with one hand, then held her slender waist with his arm while she wrapped her arms around his neck. The kiss continued to grow more and more with both demanding to carry on. Scourge slipped off her lips and moved down to her neck giving her both light kisses, and deep bites. Fiona groaned and gasped feeling his sharp fangs pierce her delicate skin. She loved this side of him. She loved his animal side, and she was wanting it to go further.
Fiona slowly moved her hands to the bottom of his shirt ready to rip it off, "...S-Scourge?" she stopped her actions and started to look around their area ignoring his sexual ways. She heard a sound of rustling trees around them. It wasn't windy, and there were no animals around the area. What was going on?
"S-Scourge!" she called out trying to get his attention.
He continued his bites as he slowly began to move down to her chest, "Shut up..." he moaned feeling ready to pull her top off in seconds.
She quickly gripped his shoulders and tried to pull him off, "Seriously, Scourge! Get off!" she demanded. "I heard something!"
Groaning in annoyance, he slowly pulled himself off, and glared at her, "What the hell, Fi? We were just getting to third base?" he whined.
Fiona glared back with a little bit of fear in her eyes, "Forget putting your dick in me right now! There's something out there!" she growled.
Scourge rolled his eyes, "Seriously? It's just a damn bunny, or something." he turned his head back and forth surveying the area closely. He didn't see anything, but trees, trees, and more trees. Which made him a bit frustrated.
"I heard something in the trees. Like something...something..." she trailed off fearing what she heard might be that monster they were searching for.
"Come on, Fiona. Like I said, it was just a rabbit. Or maybe a squirrel." he guessed crossing his arms and turned away from her pouting that she interrupted his chance.
The female fox was ready to argue back till both hers and his ears twitched hearing the familiar rustling sound she heard. Both of them looked up at the tree tops and stared hard in the pitch black hoping to at least see something moving. Scourge carefully and slowly reached down to his pants pocket and pulled out his keychain flashlight he always carried while staring at the spot. Then in a flash, he threw it out and pressed the switch turning it on up to the tree top and both him and Fiona froze in place. Staring back at them was dark silhouette of a tall being with a very long tail that was wrapped around the branch like a snake with burning red eyes of hunger. The light wasn't able to show what it looked like, but the reflection of it's eyes glowed sending shivers down their backs.
"I-I-Is that...?" Fiona stuttered clinging to her boyfriend so tightly, her fingers clenching down on his arm turned white.
Scourge was too preoccupied to stare at the unknown being making sure not to turn his back on it. It was staring at him. It wasn't doing anything, but staring. Was this...thing watching them to see if one of them will make a move first? If one of them did, it might lunge out to kill. Scourge quickly dove back into his pocket while keeping the light on the being, and took out his phone. Fiona watched both him, and the monster trying to see what he was going to do.
"Scourge, what-" she was quickly silenced when he turned on the phone and held it up to it.
"Say cheese." he provoked pressing the button on the screen making a bright flash.
The monster flinched at the sight of another bright light. In a sudden attack, the monster quickly slithered down the tree towards them. "SCOURGE RUN!" Fiona screamed and forcefully pulled him with her trying to get away. He did what she wanted him to do and both of them ran miraculously escaping the quick pounce from the monster.
The two of them fled down the path they took further into the forest to escape ignoring the fact that they ran the wrong way. Fiona's screams of terror and Scourge's growling yells of anger to shut her up echoed loudly till they slowly quieted down. The monster watched them run till they hid themselves in the trees further away from him satisfied with his usual scare. He looked down at the weird object that green hedgehog had, then leaned down to pick it up. He leaned back and looked at the weird flashing object that showed his face in the reflection. Red eyes eyed the weird contraption up and down, left and right, but had no idea what it was. Without even thinking, he threw it to the ground and used his long tail to smash the object into a few pieces turning off the light for good. Looking up at the direction they took to escape, the monster was ready to follow them only to stop and turn to the side as he listened to more louder voices. More foolish victims..
Sonic lightly pulled Amy along with him while keeping protectively close to her. She did not want to be in a place like that. But after the deal was made, there was no turning back at all. The fears that are keeping her from trying to continue on are both thinking the monster might be real and searching for them now, and losing to Scourge, and being forced into one week of a sex slave. The last part was the worst. She always heard how rough, and torturous he can be when he wasn't showering Fiona with attention, and considering that she hadn't done it with Sonic, it'll be more painful with him. Amy shivered at the disturbing image she imagined herself with Sally in bed with him. The imaginative sight almost made her collapse from fear as her knees began to shake almost making her fall.
"Hey!" Sonic was quick to catch her by wrapping his arm around her shoulders and clutching her hand with his other, "Amy, are you okay?" he asked.
She shook her head keeping her head down from his vision, "No..I'm scared, Sonic." she whimpered. "I'm scared of staying here, and I'm scared of losing. I don't want Scourge to win."
He felt terrible for putting her in this mess. He hated how much his brother caused so much pain that now it was worse and he can't do a thing about it. He shook his head regretting to ever get her involved, "I know." he said carefully standing her back up, then pulled her close to him so she could at least be safe in his arms.
"I wish you were an only child.." she mumbled kinda hoping he didn't hear that what with her head being smooshed into his warm chest. He heard it. But he chuckled instead.
"Me too. Why couldn't my mom get a better guy that had better balls?" he groaned making the young lady giggle. He smiled seeing that the chipper part of his girlfriend was still there, "That's what I was waiting for."
Amy slowly pulled herself off of his chest, then looked up at him still showing a worried look, "But still...what if we don't get out of here? That monster might actually be real."
He scoffed at her, "Please, if no one found Big Foot, or Nessy, then I highly doubt that snake man is real." he boasted.
Looking down frustrated, she asked, "Then what about aliens? Scientist actually caught a few videos and photos of real UFOs.." she hinted.
"Now those are fake because people use photoshop, or something like that." Sonic claimed, "But other than that, we don't know if that 'thing' is real. Amy," he gently cupped her cheek and raised her up so her eyes could meet his, "even if that monster is real, I won't let it hurt you."
Amy sniffled a little as she stared into his brave, green eyes, "You might not win. Your speed won't be able to beat every bad thing." she said doubtfully.
Amy knew about his speed other than his family, and it has gotten her, and him out of places, or fights. But she was right about that. His talented speed won't save them from everything. Sonic shrugged it off giving her a calming smile, "Only one way to try. I won't let anything get near you." he promised her.
Even if he showed her his bravery, it was still sweet of him to protect her from possibly nothing. It made her heart flutter to hear his promising words and his loving smile. Her mouth curled into a small smile making him blush a little, "I'll hold you to that." she joked making him chuckle again. Sonic slowly leaned in to seal that promise with a gentle kiss. Amy moved her head up to meet his while closing her eyes. The two were almost ready to touch..
"AAARGH!"
Both hedgehogs pulled away in a flash with Amy gasping and Sonic flashing his light around frantically, "What was that?" Amy cried rushing back to his side.
Sonic ignored her as he watched carefully on the trees, and the ground while hearing the scream echoed till it slowly died down. He moved his light around one tree to another, "It sounded like Fiona.." he guessed.
Amy looked up at him worriedly, "D-Do you think she maybe screaming because of forgetting her lipstick?" she asked.
He was about to answer her joking question till another scream rang out even louder than the last. Amy felt her fur and quills bristle as the nightmarish cries continue making her fears grow. Sonic snarled under his breath. It might be Scourge and Fiona along with Shark and Bolt trying to scare them so badly that they would run out of the forest. He stomped his foot hard on the ground making Amy jump, "Scourge?! I know it's you and your posse! Come out right now!" he hollered baring his teeth in anger.
Both of them waited for at least one of them to either jump out and laugh at them, or scare them again. But no one came out. The cries continue to echo around them, along with a few others. Others that made Amy's skin crawl. "AMY!" the cries were so familiar.
"Cream?!" she gasped pulling away from Sonic and stepping forward a bit to hear more. Her worries soon turn to fear. What if her friend was hurt, or Scourge may have got her instead? What if she fell and can't get up without Sally there? Wait...where is Sally? "Sally?! Cream?!" she continue to scream hoping to hear one of them again.
"EEK!" it was Sally's voice this time. Both of them sounded far away, and very scared.
Sonic turned to her, "Amy, we need to get-" he stopped when he noticed that she was missing. He looked around the area completely in a panic, "Amy? Amy?! Where are you?!"
Without even thinking, Amy ran off further into the forest hoping to find her best friends. Their screams were able to help her locate them, or at least try to, "Sally! Cream!" she yelled back only for her answer to be a few more terrifying cries.
She didn't even realize that she was blindly running through the forest, skipping over rocks, and running through bushes. She didn't realize that she had no way of knowing where she was going, but the thought of her friends in danger, or hurt was able to get her blood pumping through her legs to push her through. Images flew through her mind of Cream lying on the ground with a broken ankle, or Sally dangling over a bottomless cavern as she clutched on a small branch, or maybe a rabid animal is feasting on their bodies. Amy shook her head violently to get those horrible images out of her mind.
She ran through a few more trees before she slid to a stop. Her heart was racing fast and her eyes were darting back and forth in the darkness, "Sally?! Cream?!" she cried again. Her fears only grew when the only thing she heard was just silence. "CREAM?! SALLY?!" she cried again as her eyes began to water.
Why aren't they answering? Are they hurt? Are they dead? Amy shook her head again trying desperately hard to stop thinking of those thoughts. Her head began to hurt from all the shaking and fears. She raised her head up and looked over towards what seemed to her as a tree. A larger, wider, tree. Amy stared at it as her vision tried to see why it looked different in the dark. The upper trunk was skinnier than the bottom and it looked like it only had two branches. Her eyes lowered down to the bottom first, then slowly moved back up as her vision started to get used to being in the blackened void. Once she got up to the top, her eyes widened. Staring back at her were piercing red eyes.
"S-S-SONIC!" she screamed and turned fast enough to run.
The being watched her escape into the trees like the other two. But this time, it went after her knowing where she was going. Amy panted hard and loud as she tried her best to continue through the forest ignoring all the scrapes and tears her body and clothes are getting from each twig, or bush. She started to cry realizing that it was the actual monster, and she might be it's last meal of the night, "SONIC! CREAM! SA-" she began to scream out for help only to be interrupted when she stumbled over a rock in her path having her fall forward.
Amy threw her hands out blindly to catch herself, but felt her fall farther and farther till she hit the ground hard with her palms, and head. She rolled down the long hill she foolishly took getting several more scrapes and bruises with each roll, bump, and hit on the way down. Her cries continue to get louder and louder until she finally fell to the bottom landing on her back. Amy groaned in pain from all over. She tried to raise her body up, but no bone or muscle was able to get her to move. She moved her hand up to chest and pressed her hand down feeling her heart continue to beat fast from all the running and panicking. At least she was alive, for now.
She suddenly heard the sounds of shuffling coning close to her. It was now, or never. She needed to at least see who, or what her killer looked like. Amy slowly opened here eyes halfway only to see nothing, but blur. But in her vision, she saw the same 'tree' like thing looming over her with it's eyes staring down at her. She let out a painful, and sad groan. The being tilted it's head a bit, then slowly leaned forward towards her as it opened it's arms wide. Unfortunately for Amy, this was the right time her vision go black.
