Author's Note:
Hey guys, I know it's been a long time since I've updated this story. I was hoping for the last Avengers movie to come out. I just finished watching it and It was the best movie I have ever seen. The reason I decided to wait for the last movie was that I wanted to see where the original story was headed. All I can say is that if you know that Infinity War and Endgame will make you cry, the end of this story will too. This has been a great story and I am crying just writing the next chapters.
For those reading all of my stories, I am really sorry for all the delay with the updates. I have to admit I've had writer's block. I'm working on a layout of all the stories but the words won't come out. Besides my writer's block, my grandpa is in a bad shape and my mom and uncle are barely taking care of him so I'm taking care of him with my sister to help my grandma out.
Again, sorry for the delay but here's the new chapter. This chapter is longer than the rest because you guys deserve it. I hope you liked it and just know that the Endgame is coming soon.
Until next time ;P
Third POV:
The team gathered in the airport parking, each of them knowing the stakes helping a wanted fugitive even though he was innocent. Wanda was ecstatic to be out and see how Emily was doing. She was also amused by Scott's antics when he met the great Captain. "Emily, can you make sure to distract the other's while we reach for the chopper?" Steve said.
"No," She replied. "There's no way of knowing what will happen during the fight. Most of my powers are trying to protect my baby." Everyone, except Clint and Wanda, were shocked.
"You are not coming with us if you are pregnant Emily," Steve replied.
"I don't have much of a choice here," She barked. "It's either fight for your friend and prove everyone wrong or let any government have control over me, Wanda, and Vision."
Suddenly, the alarms went off and people were asked to evacuate the airport. Immediately, everyone began to suit up. Meanwhile, Clint and Wanda went to talk with Emily. "You are not okay," Wanda told her. "There is no way your child will let you fight his father."
"Wanda, I don't have a choice." She sighed. "If I don't fight his freedom could be at risk just because Tony signed the stupid accords."
"Yes, but if you fight your lives could be at risk," Clint interrupted. "I let you do what you wanted a year ago, but I have to stand my ground on this one Ems. You need to back out."
"Not when I can prevent any disaster. I'll only be on the sidelines, there will be no actions expect to shield you from the others." The team all heard an announcement that the airport was being evacuated.
"Tony's here," Emily said dejectedly.
"Suit up," Steve said.
Steve in his uniform strides through an underpass, then jogs onto a private runway, heading for a grounded chopper. An electro disabler slams onto the chopper and Steve looks up. Iron Man and War Machine decent. "Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?" Tony joked.
"Definitely weird." James continued.
"Hear me out, Tony. That doctor, the psychiatrist, he's behind all of this." Steve tried to explain.
T'Challa leaps over a truck, "Captain." Steve replies back.
"Anyway, Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in. That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?" Tony added.
"You're after the wrong guy." Captain America exasperated.
"Your judgment is askew. Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday." Tony snapped.
Steve snapped back, "And there are five more super soldiers just like him. I can't let the doctor find them first, Tony. I can't."
"Steve…" Natasha interrupted, "you know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?"
" All right, I've run out of patience. Underoos!" Tony interrupted as Spider-Man shoots a web, stealing Steve's shield and binding his hands. "Nice job, kid."
"Thanks. Well, I could've stuck the landing a little better. It's just the new suit… Well, it's nothing, Mr. Stark. It's-It's perfect. Thank you." Peter blabbed.
"Yeah, we don't really need to start a conversation."
From the parking lot, Emily fumed when she saw a child taking part in the fight. "ANTHONY EDWARD STARK." She teleported in front of him. "What the hell is that kid doing here!"
Rhodes looked away trying to hide the laugh as did Natasha. "Ems..."
"Mr. Stark, you never told me about her," Peter said.
"SHUT UP!" Both Emily and Tony yelled in unison. They continued arguing allowing the others to find the other team's Quinjet. Unbeknownst to Emily, Clint fired an arrow, and Scott gave Steve his shield back. Before Emily could figure out what the game plan was, Tony whisked her away giving the kid instructions. "I'm not going to argue," Tony said. "You stay here!"
"TONY!" Emily looked around at the roof where Tony left her. It gave her a good view of what was happening in the battleground. As soon as she could, she astral projected anytime she was needed. There wasn't much she could actually do to participate, she was four months pregnant, almost five, her movements were really limited. So, she remained sulking on the roof preventing any horrible injury. She kept worrying about Peter Parker; he was a child playing a grown-ups game, and he could get hurt.
Everything else when haywire the moment Vision made an appearance. The fight intensified, everyone threw more threatening blows at each other. Emily could see how this is breaking the team apart. It made no sense to Emily a to how it got to this point, but she had no idea the rift that was happening today would be damning in the future. Her thoughts were interrupted when she sees Peter swinging around and around Ant-Man's legs as Iron Man and War Machine power towards his head, both landing blows together. As Giant Ant-Man toppled, a flailing limb catching Peter and knocking him flying just before Scott slams into the ground on his back.
Tony lands by Peter who's in a heap, retracting the helmet looking concerned. "Kid, you alright?"
"Hey! Get off me!" Peter yelled. Immediately, Emily teleported both Tony and Peter to the roof.
"Hey, hey, Peter calm down." She said soothingly.
Figuring out who he was facing he said, "Oh. Hey."
"Yeah," Tony replied.
"That was scary," Peter said sheepishly.
Emily sighed, "You shouldn't even be here! You are a kid." Emily argued. "Yes, you help over in NY, but you are not ready for this!"
"What?" Peter was surprised.
"Yeah. You're done. Alright?" Tony cut him off. "You did a good job. Stay with her."
" No," Peter interrupted. "I'm good... I'm fine."
"You're going home," Tony yelled, " or I'll call Aunt May! You're done!"
Emily calmed him down and Peter stayed with her. She healed the boy's wounds to prevent his aunt to ask questions until her attention went elsewhere. In the partially wrecked hangar, the Quinjet's engines fire and the guns blast debris from the entrance. Natasha kept T'Challa busy until the jet rose. He leaped but couldn't keep hold; the Quinjet flew out. She saw how War Machine followed Steve and Bucky, and all she felt was dread.
Sam followed Rhodey trying to stop him from bringing the Quinjet down. In the process, Rhodes must have called for Vision now that. Vision takes aim and fires his head laser. Falcon spots it coming and tucks into a tumble. The laser overshoots and slices through the core on War Machines chest plate. War Machine loses power and goes into a spinning free fall. Then and there, Tony and Emily's heart dropped. "Rhodey!" They both yelled. As Rhodey plunges, the suit emits black smoke. Iron Man swoops down towards him. Rhodes' eyes start to close.
Emily looked at Peter, grabbed him and teleported, for the last time, next to Rhodes and Tony. "Emily, you need to get out of here!" Tony said.
She shook her head and examined her friend's injuries. "We have lost too much today, and with things underway," She paused to hold a cry. "everything destroyed will get a replay." Instantly every broken building, plane, and car restored it to its former state. Everything when back to where it was and with it Emily's magic was depleting greatly.
At the sight, Peter was amazed and shell shocked. "Mr. Stark, what is she doing?"
Tony was too shock to process what the kid said, "Ems, what are you doing?"
"Saving my family," she replied. She extended her hands towards Rhodey and began to heal him as her hands glowed.
"WOAH!" Peter yelled as he saw Rhodes' wounds disappear instantly and regained consciousness. When he was going to praise Emily, he saw her pale and nosebleeding. "Hey, lady, are you okay?"
Tony's snapped his attention towards Emily, "Hey, hey, hey," He left Rhodey down gently and grabbed Emily's hands. "Hey, you have to stop."
Emily cried in pain ignoring the blood that flowed down her chin. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Tony." She clutched her stomach in pain. "You gave me no choice..." There, she fainted in his arms.
"Babe, please open your eyes," he shook her, but nothing happened. "Read vitals!"
"Miss D'Morgana's blood pressure is high pressure and exhaustion," F.R.I.D.A.Y. replied. "Emergency medical is on its way to prevent anything happening to the baby."
Tony was shellshocked. His girlfriend had used an astronomical amount of magic to fix all the damage they all made. He was staring at Emily's unmoving form that he never noticed War Machine waking up. "What the hell?!" He yelled. "Tony how-"
"Ems' pregnant..." Tony looked at his friend with horror. "She's preg- I'm going to be a dad! Rhodey, she could have..."
"Tones, you need to calm down," Rhodey interrupted. "She needs you to be level headed." As soon as Rhodey tried to calm his friend, the ambulance made its way to plane track. Once the EMTs arrived, they were surprised to see nothing destroyed. Their attention went Tony embracing Emily. The boyfriend retracted his suit immediately and joined the EMTs to the nearest hospital to see Emily's condition.

Rhodes stayed behind seeing his comrades being arrested for helping Steve. Natasha got to him before the ambulance left. "You okay?" She said.
"Just peachy," Rhodes grumbled. "Tony is heading to the hospital, Ems' pregnant."
"She told him?" Natasha was shocked.
"What, you knew?!"
"It was hard not to noticed when she changed her whole wardrobe," Natasha said. "Also how she kept excusing her morning sickness as food poisoning every day."
Rhodes looked at Natasha but said nothing. She was right. Nobody paid any attention to how she was actually doing. All she ever did was downplay her symptoms or hid from everyone else. Then these past few days she has stopped wearing all of her favorite skirts, crop tops in favor of baggy dresses, pants, and Tony's T-shirts.
In the hospital, Tony stared into space with FRIDAY's voice echoing in his head. Emily was pregnant. He thought of all the changes his girlfriend has made these past few months. Her eating habits, her clothes, her wake up schedule... Everything had changed and he was too busy to notice. He was somewhat happy to get the chance to finally be a dad because you never know what to miss until you lose it. While thinking, anger started to surface. She knew about this pregnancy. She knew and never told him. Hours passed and Tony's anger and desperation grew; until Ross appeared in the emergency room.
"What are you doing here?" Tony said.
"We are here to take D'Morgana into custody for aiding a wanted criminal." The Secretary of State replied.
"The hell you are! Emily didn't do anything during the fight, and she fixed everything in the airport to prevent any lawsuit on the team or that affected the accords." Tony yelled. "So, don't come here telling me she's now a criminal."
"She aided a WANTED man!" Ross yelled back.
"The only thing that she's guilty of is not telling me about our child!" Tony hissed. "I dare you to lay a finger on her, I dare you."
"Is that a threat, Stark?"
"No, it's a promise. I swear if you touch Emily, I'll make sure everyone in the world knows every dirty little secret you have hiding in your closet. I'll make everyone know you'll put an innocent defenseless woman in jail for helping the Avengers." Tony surmised. "I'd like to see how that will turn out for you."
Ross glared at Tony and left the emergency room leaving Tony to focus on Emily's condition. Three hours after Ross left, Natasha and Rhodey sat with him to wait for the results. It took until the next day for Tony to finally be able to see Emily again. Everything turned out fine with the baby. Sadly, Emily overexerted herself, and she was in bad shape. The doctor ordered bedrest until further notice. Once he reached her room, he saw her connected to oxygen tanks, IV tubs, etc. She looked too pale, her eyes had big dark bags, her cheeks were slightly sunken, and her hair was a mix between puke green mixed with black. Her eyes lost their sparkle. "Ems..."
She looked at him teary-eyed. "Tony."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I-I couldn't," She stuttered. "I tried, I did but I couldn't tell you."
Tony sighed and sat next to her. "Why couldn't you tell me?" He yelled. "You risked your life and our child's life trying to prove a worthless point!"
"Worthless point? Is that what you think this whole thing is!? A WORTHLESS POINT!" She replied. "There are things that I need to do and the accords stop me from doing! Not to mention that the fight you had at the airport was pointless. James Buchanan didn't put the bomb in the summit. You were all played into breaking the team apart and you're too ignorant to notice!"
She groaned after moving her sore muscles. Tony rubbed his face in frustration. "Ems, you knew about this way before the accords." He sobbed. "You almost lost our child, our second child."
"You don't think I know that," She rasped. "Your children have been giving me sharp pains just for me to tell you they existed. I wanted to tell you every day that passed, but I couldn't. My powers wouldn't let me."
Tony stared at her shell shocked. "Chi-children, as in more than one?"
"Yeah," She smiled. "You'll never guess how many though."
Tony chuckled, forgetting their argument. "Those little devils will ruin us, I'll have more gray hairs before the first-month pass."
"You'll still be my sexiest philanthropist." Emily smiled fondly. "Tony, I'm really sorry..."
Tony scratched the back of his head, "We both can't take back what we did, what we can do is move on." He explained. "We can't keep fighting. I'll do whatever I have to do to fix this but we can't keep fighting."
Emily sighed and grabbed Tony's hand. "No more fights, I promise." Tony kissed her forehead and smile. "Tony, you need to go to Steve."
"No, I can't. You need me here." He protested.
"Tony, go to Syberia. The doctor that was meant to evaluate Sgt. Barnes is dead. That man in the facility he's planning something but I can't figure out why," Emily explained. "Natasha and Rhodey will be here just go."
Tony looked away and sighed, "Okay, Bright Eyes. I'll go but you have to tell me how many rug grats we are having."
She gave him a kiss before he left. "Where's the fun in that?"
