GKC: What's up, everyone! This is GKC here bringing you another chapter of Remnant's Climax Heroes!
SR: And his very helpful crew!
KRD: Today, we're starting the extra chapter! And it will mostly feature Miko! The other future kids had their turn so why not do Miko as well?
SR: So true, my dude.
GKC: Yep, and before we begin. I want to say a few things. So apparently, this guy named Rodrigo Roa Duterte is claiming that I stole this story. Not only that but he tried to get someone to be a troll in the making. Here's a thought, how you gonna tell someone that they stole the idea when you've only had that account you made for a few months while this story has been active for over a year? Hm? Can't answer that because you can't tell the difference between time.
KRD: Not to mention he changed his name to Kurogane Higashi, an OC character for an upcoming RWBY story I'm still planning! And using his image that I commissioned someone to draw (shoutout to the artist btw, love ya!), that he found on my Twitter!
GKC: So yeah, I'm calling this guy out for being a plagiarizing piece of crap. Because not only did he steal stories from me and KRD, but he is claiming that he is the real owner of those stories. Some of you fav'd or followed them will know what I'm talking about. Let me be frank, that guy has no talent for writing.
KRD: Exactly, you mess with us, you're looking for an ass whoopin' big time. But then again, being the troll that you are, you don't want your ass found so you hide behind some other person's address from Texas and calling yourself Lisa-Karen Watz or whatever that person's name is.
GKC: So why don't you actually grow some from your nonexistent sack and be a man for once in your pathetic life. Because seriously, if you have nothing better to do, but harass and plagiarize people on this website then you're just sad. And don't think you can fool people forever, there will always be those who know the truth.
KRD: In fact, we dare you to tell us where you are! Show yourself so you can be exposed for what you are!
GKC: Or don't, no one will care about you either way, you faker. I mean, you'll probably just hide for a few months like before and make up some other asinine profile.
KRD: That being said… let's fire back with some fun!
GKC: Yeah!
All: HENSHIN!
Disclaimer: Same thing.
Chapter 39: A Daughter's Tale
It was another day in the City of Vale and Beacon Academy. Due to the Breach, and the damage caused by Schwartz, the day of the Vytal Festival had to be pushed back by a month in order to fix things up. Of course, Professor Goodwitch's Semblance could only do so much. While it does speed up the process of putting back everything to the way it was before the attack, it was still a taxing task. Luckily, Atlas forces alongside plenty of the citizens agreed to pitch in and help with rebuilding.
However, that is not currently the focus. Our attention is drawn to Beacon Academy. Why, you may ask?
"Absolutely not happening, General."
That is the reason. Team JOKR was called in by Headmaster Ozpin because he, General Ironwood, and Professor Goodwitch wanted to discuss something with them. And that topic is having an artificial means of creating a Kamen Rider. In fact, General Ironwood wanted to make an army of artificial Kamen Riders. The video footage of them showing that they have an actual transformation belt, constructed from their own Aura, proved to be theoretically possible. Of course, the leader of team JOKR was less than thrilled about the idea…
"Come now, Mr. Jaeger. Surely you must see the benefits in an army of Riders." Ironwood tried to reason.
"Sir, with all due to respect, having an army of Kamen Riders, from our experience, is never a good thing." Kurogasa stated. "The RioTroopers, ZECTroopers, and Kurokage Troopers, who are private armies of corporations: Smart Brain, ZECT, and Yggdrasil respectively, are prime examples of that."
"Either way, you and Atlas are not getting your hands on Rider technology." Aaron said with a heated glare.
"And why would having an army of Riders that could provide better protection against dangerous adversaries be considered a bad thing?"
"It's a double-edged sword." Orion said. "While they can possibly provide protection, on the flipside, they could be just as dangerous since they could be used as pawns for a higher agenda, whether or not it is personal."
"And you believe I have some personal agenda in achieving this?" Ironwood asked.
"Not necessarily, but we'd rather not take any chances." Orpheus replied. Ironwood sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, whilst Ozpin merely sipped his coffee.
"At least humor me by thinking about it."
"Sure. But our answers are most likely still gonna be no." Aaron shrugged. "If that's all, please excuse us." After the group said their farewells to the teachers, they turned around and left them.
"You know… what bothers me is that they're somewhat like you, Ozpin." Ironwood said, his fist clenched.
"On the contrary, General…" Ozpin corrected. "I have a feeling they are not like me at all."
"How exactly?"
"Call it a feeling…" The Headmaster replied. 'A feeling that those boys will not like the truth of this world.'
"Geez, seriously, what is Ironwood thinking?" Kurogasa groaned as JOKR were walking on their way back to the Rider Base. "He's crazy if he thinks Rider technology is gonna be used to protect Atlas."
"If anything, it'll be abused. That's how a lot of governments see something they think they have the right to have and control." Orpheus remarked.
"I hope you have that technology locked tight in that supercomputer of yours, Aaron." Orion said.
"Don't worry, I put that stuff on lockdown with several types of firewalls, counter-viruses, and even program bugs that will wreck any hacker's attempts at stealing from me." Aaron assured his teammates.
"Even against the Queen Virus?" Orpheus asked.
"Especially that. You forget, part of my Semblance gives me the traits of the Heisei Riders. Nothing on this planet could outsmart the genius of Sento Kiryu." The crimson-eyed teen stated.
"Well, you could never be too careful." Kurogasa sighed. "Speaking of Riders… you gonna be hanging out with Miko later on?"
"Of course, Blake's been wanting to have some quality time with her and I wanna join in. Maybe bring in Yang and Yin as well." Aaron replied.
"Well that's good." Orion added, "Oh yeah, maybe Ruby and Melody can join in as well."
"I'm still curious as to how Miko and Melody got together." Orpheus pondered. "I bet it's gonna be a funny story."
"We can blame Ruby and Koa for that." Kurogasa deadpanned.
"ACHOO!" Ruby sneezed out of nowhere.
"Woah!" Melody exclaimed, as Ruby's sneeze knocked over a tower of cards she was making. "Aw mom! Why'd you go and sneeze like that?"
"Sorry…" Ruby sniffled, rubbing her nose. "I think someone was talking about me…"
"That's just an urban legend, Mom…" Melody deadpanned.
"WACHOO!" Koa sneezed as well, out of nowhere.
"Bless you, Ma." Rei said, reading a comic book.
"Thanks."
"See?! Someone must be talking about Koa too!" Ruby pointed out.
"Who would?" Melody pondered.
"I don't know…" Koa pouted.
"But enough about that," Ruby said, before staring at Melody intently.
"W-What is it, Mom?" Melody stuttered.
"Oh, I think you know what." Ruby smirked slyly.
Melody paled and blushed at the same time. "Oh no, nonononononononono! We are not talking about that!" She shook her head furiously.
"Oh, we're definitely talking about that." Ruby stated.
"No please, you'll embarrass me to no end!" Melody pleaded, tugging on her wolf ears.
"True, but you're not gonna leave this room until you do."
"No, please you can't make me!"
"Oh yes I can. I'm your mom. Rei, make sure she doesn't leave."
"Alright."
"Rei, you traitor!" Melody cried out in dismay.
"Sorry, but you know how Auntie Ruby can be." Rei shrugged.
Ruby then suddenly got comically menacing as she slowly towered over her adoptive daughter while doing the spider fingers with her hands while Melody got smaller and smaller. "Now tell me everything…"
"No… NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Meanwhile, somewhere at the Emerald Forest, while also near the school, Yukina stood at Future Kurogasa's grave. Not long after the battle, a funeral was held for those who were lost at the Breach, including Future Kurogasa, who was just as much of a victim, despite the atrocities of his dark side. And at the request of Yukina, she wanted her father buried somewhere where no one would disturb it, to which Ozpin agreed to. She gently laid a bouquet of flowers at the grave site before clasping her hands in prayer.
"Yukina…" A voice called out, causing her to turn around and see her mother approaching.
"Okaa-sama…" Yukina murmured as Weiss stood next to her.
"Are you alright?" She asked.
Yukina smiled bitterly, "I got Otou-sama back… only to lose him again."
"Yukina…" Weiss said sadly. "There was nothing else you could have done…"
"But I should have done more!" Yukina said, her fists clenched. "I should have, but I wasn't strong enough! I could've saved him, I-"
"Yukina, enough," Weiss said sternly, causing the future daughter to stop as the heiress held Yukina's shoulders. "You listen here. No daughter of mine is going to have regret hanging over their head for the rest of their life. Your father sacrificed himself to ensure his dark half never saw the light of day ever again. And besides, you and your friends did everything in your power to try and help him out of the dark path he was on."
"But… how can this pain go away?" Yukina questioned. Weiss looked down for a moment, before looking back at her.
"I don't think it ever fully does… but if he was here, would he want to see you like this?" The heiress asked her.
"No… he wouldn't." The girl replied solemnly. Weiss pulled Yukina into a warm embrace, which the girl returned whilst drying her tears.
"There, there." Weiss said soothingly, rubbing her future daughter's back. The two kept hugging each other for a few minutes, before breaking the embrace. She then gave her daughter a handkerchief. "Now no more tears. And if you're going to cry anyway, as a lady, you should always keep a handkerchief on your person at all times, everyday."
"Thank you, Okaa-sama." Yukina said, wiping her eyes with the small cloth before getting up. "We should head back to the others, ne?"
"Mhm. And make sure to look your best. You looked dehydrated enough as it is."
"Hai, Okaa-sama." Yukina nodded with a slight smile.
"So… um…" Blake said as she and Miko were sitting at a courtyard of the school, the courtyard having tables all over as other students were talking amongst themselves at different tables. She wanted to get to know her daughter as much as possible. And what better way than to have tea and talk about your child's interests?
"What do you wanna know, mama?" Miko asked. Blake took a few minutes to think about what she wanted to ask her futuristic daughter, before turning towards her.
"Well… I'm not sure." Blake admitted. "Though, I'd guess I'd want to know everything about you."
Miko blushed shyly as she fiddled with her hands, "Um, what in particular?"
"Well um…" Blake crossed her arms in thought. "What was it like for you starting out as a Huntress in training?"
"Oh, it was… pretty intense." Miko said with a sigh.
"Lemme guess… Launched into a forest, the first person you lay eyes on became your partner?"
"Yeah…" Miko replied with her cat ears flat.
"Did you get someone racist?" Blake asked, concerned.
"Oh, no. Nothing like that." Miko corrected. "I, uh, never really believed from you that the students were always launched into the air."
"Well now you do…" Blake sighed. "And… What does your father and his teammates do in the future?"
"Well, they're still Huntsmen, in a sense. People found out that they were the Kamen Riders and they were idolized as heroes so… they accepted their roles and each one of them took over as a guardian for a kingdom. Papa stayed in Vale, Uncle Kuro went to Atlas, Uncle Orion to Mistral, and Uncle Orphee to Vacuo."
"I SAID NOT TO CALL ME ORPHEE!" A voice shouted from afar, causing the two to sweatdrop.
"I'm guessing we won against Azrael and his monsters?" Blake says, to which Miko's ears flattened.
"Well, yes and no…" Miko said, "Alters and Hybrids are still a problem."
"I see…" Blake nodded, "And… what of your grandfather and grandmother? How are they doing in the future?"
"They're doing… reasonably well. They were really excited to be grandparents but… grandpa did try to kill papa when he found out you were pregnant with me."
"Somehow I'm not surprised…" Blake said with a light chuckle. "So when did you figure out that you… liked girls in that way?"
"Well, it's not that I like just girls, I also liked boys too. But I was a little scared about admitting my sexuality until Aunt Ruby and Aunt Koa convinced me to follow my heart." Miko explained.
"It'll be interesting to hear more about how you and Melody got together." Blake said with a smile.
"Well, it wasn't like that at first. We were best friends, childhood best friends actually, even though we were half-cousins in a sense." Miko said.
"Which made things difficult."
"Yeah…"
"Speaking of which, we should probably see what everyone else is up to."
"Oh, okay. I wonder if papa will join us sometime?"
"We'll see what he's up to now."
"Uwhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…" Melody groaned as a wisp of her soul trickled out of her mouth, barely hanging on to her mouth. Ruby did a lot of… interrogating. And that was a understatement. She got down to the nitty and gritty until Melody would spill the beans about her relationship with Miko.
"Wow, Red…" Koa said, impressed. "You can be pretty ruthless when you put your mind to it."
"I'm a mom. I have to know everything that my baby does in the future." Ruby stated.
"Even in the future, Aunt Ruby can be scary." Rei shuddered.
"Hey Rubes, you- holy crap, Mel!" Orion panicked after walking in the room, rushing over to his adoptive daughter. "What happened?!"
"Mom… curious of me and Miko." Melody managed to get out, before fainting.
"Mel!" Orion cried out, before looking at his girlfriend. "Rubyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?"
"I was curious!" Ruby exclaimed. As Orion was giving Ruby a hard look, Yin and Yang came walking in.
"What's going-" Yang got out, before noticing a faint Melody. "Ruby, what did you do to Mel?"
"Interrogated her about her relationship with Miko…" Orion deadpanned.
"Oh Aunt Ruby…" Yin facepalmed.
Yang stared at her younger sister with a neutral look… before her eyes gleamed and suddenly rushed over to her, placing her hands on her sister's shoulders. "TELL ME EVERYTHING!"
'WHAT THE HELL!?' they all shouted in their mind.
"Oh dear sister, it's a long and beautiful tale that should be told by Miko and Mel!" Ruby said dramatically.
"Oh no you don't!" Orion said, before grabbing the unconscious Melody, hoisting her over his shoulders, and running off.
"Hey, get back here with Mel!" Yang shouted, running after him and Ruby following.
"No way! You're not torturing her!" Orion shouted.
"Should I go after them?" Yin asked Rei.
"Eh, let them settle things." Rei said with a shrug, putting headphones back on their ears to continue reading.
Meanwhile…
Kurogasa was standing at the edge of the helipad, looking beyond the horizon, looking at the reconstruction efforts of the City of Vale. Things were slowly progressing but the damage was much worse than it was originally. Thanks to his dark self, people's lives were really lost. Because of his future self, the events that he and his teammates changed… This was the result of their actions. They knew of the events to come, and tried to change it for the better. They may have slightly adjusted the course of history, but never its destination. Everyone else doesn't know it just yet.
Looking down at his hand, he looked at the Exceed Mask that he used against Schwartz. He used it to honor Aaron's supposed sacrifice. And he did good on it until Schwartz almost killed him and a revived Aaron showed up. And now… everything he did up to that point…
"Everything I did was worthless… Aaron had to be the main hero. And I'm just secondary…" Kurogasa chuckled bitterly. "I'm a terrible and selfish person…" He said, before looking up, and called out without looking back, "Aren't I, Ozpin?"
Stepping into view came the Beacon Headmaster, cane in hand and a mug of coffee in the other. "Terrible and selfish? I beg to differ. Though there are days where you are leaning towards the latter." Ozpin answered.
"Heh, yeah, that sounds about right." Kurogasa scoffed as Ozpin stood beside him. "I've always thought that the choices I make will shape my future. Someone once said, 'Habits become your character and your character becomes your destiny…' though now… even that's uncertain…"
"Mr. Kururugi, you cannot diminish your actions from the previous battle." Ozpin stated. "In fact, were it not for you and the others, I reckon we would not be standing here having this conversation."
"Right…"
"And besides, he put his trust in you that you would lead your team and the others to victory, despite your uncertainty to lead." Ozpin pointed out. "And you did everything in your power to defeat Schwartz until Aaron's timely arrival."
"So… my actions weren't… for nothing after all?"
"Let me answer that with another question… were you able to protect what mattered most to you, despite the odds?" Ozpin asked, making Kurogasa ponder. "Remember to take solace in those you can save in memory of those who're lost."
"I guess you're right…" Kurogasa muttered.
"And do not forget, while Aaron might have been the hero, he never could have won without your assistance. His true strength lies in the bonds with his friends."
"!" Kurogasa's eyes slightly widened in surprise.
"Hm…" Ozpin smirked at his reaction, before taking his leave.
"Otou-sama?"
Kurogasa snapped out of it as he looked to see his family approach him. "Weiss… Yukina…"
"Are you okay?" Weiss asked as she and her future daughter approached Kurogasa.
"Yeah."
"What were you and Headmaster Ozpin talking about?"
Kurogasa smiled warmly, "Just… talking about how lucky I am to have family and friends in my life."
Yukina then approached her father, "Otou-sama, are you… proud of me?"
"Huh? Where did that come from?" Kurogasa asked, confused.
"I just… needed to hear it." Yukina admitted with a faint blush.
"Yukina…" Kurogasa smiled before hugging her. "I'll always be proud of you." He said, before breaking it. "Nothing would make me prouder than you being here."
Yukina felt tears trickle at the corners of her eyes as she buried her face into her father's chest. "Otou-sama…" She whimpered.
"Oi, c'mon, I thought I told you no more crying." Kurogasa chuckled, before wiping her tears. "I don't want to think you were a crybaby when you were little."
"I'm not a crybaby…" Yukina pouted even though she was smiling with joy.
"Heh," Kurogasa chuckled, before looking to Weiss, and stretched his arm out. "C'mon Weiss, I'm not leaving you out." He said. Weiss rolled her eyes before she walked over to join in on the family hug. "You two are the best thing in my life and I wouldn't trade that for anything else in the world."
"Ughhhhhhhh…" Melody groaned as she slowly opened her eyes and looked around. She noticed that she was in the school infirmary. But why was she here? Then she remembered. Her interrogator of a mom. She wasn't holding back, wanting to know about her relationship with Miko and it certainly was a pain in the butt.
"Hey Mel." Orion said, prompting her to look to her bedside.
"Hey Dad…" Melody sighed.
"You doing alright?" Orion asked his adopted daughter.
"Define alright…" Melody groaned as she slowly sat up with a pout. "Mom just wouldn't leave me alone… even in the future…"
"At this point in your life, you have to know that Ruby never quits when she's got her mind on something."
"Yeah, that's her alright…"
"Mel!" Miko's voice called out as she, Blake, and Aaron, who the girls met up with earlier, arrived, and the former rushed to her bedside. "Are you okay? I heard from Orion you fainted."
"I'm fine… and you can thank Mom for that…" Melody grumbled.
Miko sweatdropped, "She was asking about our relationship, wasn't she?"
"Yep."
"Well, Ruby's not here to pressure you so," Aaron shrugged. "If you feel comfortable now, you can tell us. But only if you're alright with it."
Miko and Melody looked at each other before nodding firmly. The latter looked at the group with a sigh, "Well, it's a long story. It all started during summer break…"
Flashback - Summer Break in the Future
Team MYYR was enjoying their summer break at a nice resort. Yukina's mother was more than happy to provide them with special passes for this occasion. and what better way than to spend the first day of summer vacation than on a private beach… ALL TO THEMSELVES!
"Woohooooo! Beach Time!" Yin cheered, before running straight for the water.
"Yin, you're supposed to stretch first before entering the water!" Yukina called out, but to no avail. "Mattaku… he never listens…"
"When has he ever?" Rei pointed out.
"Come on, guys. We're here to have fun. Let's take a note from out of Yin's book and have some fun." Melody said with a grin.
"She's right," Miko said as she already had the umbrella stuck to the ground and laying out the blanket before sitting and opening her book… reading one of her mother's… cultural literature, shall we say.
Rei looked at Miko with a dry expression, "Of course, you would read that here…"
"What's wrong with the art that I read?" Miko asked.
"It's practically pornography." Yukina stated. Melody's wolf ears pricked at the mention of the word and immediately blushed crimson.
"Even so, it has dramatically good storyline and character development." Miko said matter of factly. "And aside from that, the artistic style that the author used shows how much time and effort was put into this classic."
"If it has a detailed amount of smut, then it's a book of smut." Rei retorted.
*SKRRRRRRRRRRRT!*
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold up! Blake was a smut novelist?!" Aaron cried out in shock. Blake immediately turned crimson.
"Surprisingly, she became a 'famous' Novelist." Melody explained. "Of course, this being after she retired from Huntress duties and went back to Menagerie."
"And thanks to you and Dr. Polendina, they found a way to cultivate the entire land mass to make it an official city protected by Mistral." Miko added.
"I'm still shocked that Blake became a smut novelist." Aaron muttered.
"Um… dare I ask what the name of that novel was?" Blake mumbled.
"…RWBY After Dark…"
The group turned to Blake, who was blushing with her face in her hands.
"I have so many questions…" Orion mumbled. "Then again, I'm afraid to even ask."
"Okay, uh, moving on. What happened next?" Aaron inquired.
"Right right…"
Resuming Flashback into the future…
As Miko was about to return to her book, something caught her inquisitive eye. And that something that caught her eye was her dear friend Melody doing a few stretches, whilst showing off her one piece swimsuit. Said swimsuit hugged every feminine curve she possessed as well as her well-proportioned breasts and firm buttocks.
The cat Faunus nervously gulped as she felt a strange heat in her stomach.
"Hm? Miko, what's wrong?" Melody asked.
"N-Nothing!" Miko stuttered, before going back to her book.
The wolf Faunus stared curiously, before shrugging and returning to her stretches. Apparently, she had also acquired some of her mother's naivety growing up. However, Rei noticed Miko's reactions and had a rather mischievous smirk.
"You like what you're seeing, Mimi?" Rei whispers into Miko's ear, making her flinch and blush.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Miko quickly denied.
"Are you sure~~~?" Rei smirked when they saw Miko getting worked up. "I think someone's lying~"
"And I think someone is about to get their eyes clawed out." Miko hissed at the androgynous teen.
"Oh lighten up, Mimi, I'm just teasing you!" Rei laughed. "Besides, you and Mel have been besties since childhood."
"Yeah, but what's that got to do with anything?" Miko asked.
"I'm saying you should spend more time with her, girl!" Rei said with a smile. "Watch, I'll help. Hey Melody! Miko wants to go swimmin with you! Good luck."
"Wha- hey! Rei!" Miko tried to stop Rei, but was too late as they ran off when Melody ran over to her.
"Well, Miko? Ready to swim?" Melody asked with a bright smile.
"Eh, um…" Miko muttered, trying to think of what to say. She didn't want to sound rude and say no, especially to her best friend. "S-sure…"
Melody smiled, taking Miko by the hand and pulling her up towards the water.
The two best friends entered the water with the wolf Faunus playfully splashing Miko in the face, much to her chagrin. And so Miko responded by playfully splashing back. The two girls laughed and giggled as they played in the water before in an unexpected twist…
"I'm gonna get ya!" Miko called out as she lunged to deliver a splash attack.
"No you won't!" Melody shot back with a giggle until she slipped underwater, forcing Miko to try and keep her balanced but got dragged underneath instead.
The two were submerged in a watery paradise; fishes roamed around a radiant array of coral and undersea life. The two smiled and began swimming around playfully.
The sight below them felt like a fairy tale and they were living in it. Before they realized it, the two of them were face-to-face and close to each other.
Golden amber stared into silvery grey.
Melody and Miko slowly brought their faces closer together, almost to the point that their noses were touching…
"Go on, go on." Blake urged as… she was writing on a notepad, scribbling away.
"Blake, really!?" Aaron exclaimed. "This is our daughter you're writing about!"
"Wow, someone's a closet perv…" Orion deadpanned.
"As I was saying…" Melody felt her brow twitched in annoyance.
Golden amber stared into silvery grey.
Melody and Miko slowly brought their faces closer together, almost to the point that their noses were touching…
…before the need for oxygen forced them apart as they swam upwards to get a big gulp of air.
Meanwhile, Yukina was laying on her stomach as Rei laid on their back and both were enjoying some wonderful sunbathing. Yukina yawned, opening her eyes to enjoy the beautiful view. Yin was building… a sand version of Beacon Academy.
"Ah this is life." Rei said relaxed. "Beautiful sun… calm seas… oh look, a little sailboat."
Yukina raised a brow, noticing what seemed to be the sail of a sailboat far away. Normally, she wouldn't pay it any mind… but it was sailing against the wind.
"Uh Rei… I don't think that's a sailboat…" Yin said.
"SHAAAAAAARK!" Yukina shouted. Those that heard it immediately ran onto shore to avoid what appeared to be the fin of a large shark.
"Damn, we don't even have our weapons!" Yin growled.
"Dude, Aura Driver?" Rei reminded the boy.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about those." Yin said sheepishly.
"Wait! Where's Miko and Melody?!" Yukina demanded, before realizing, "They're still in the water!"
"Alright, let's get out there and help them!" Yin declared, before summoning his Aura Driver and taking out his Aura Sphere.
AURA SPHERE CONNECTED! TIGER!
"Henshin!"
RAGING STRIPED FIGHTER! BURNING TIGER!
His Aura Beast launched out before merging with Yin, transforming him into Tora. Just before he was able to jump in, however, a group of Hybrids appeared from the water.
"Oh come on!" Tora exclaimed as the others got ready for a fight.
"Don't worry, I got them!" Yukina said.
AURA SPHERE CONNECTED! WYVERN!
"Henshin!"
SHIRORYUU NO MUSUME! WHITE WYVERN!
Transforming into Kamen Rider Hikari, she jumped into the water to search for Miko and Melody.
"Ugh! I guess it's just me and you, Rei." Tora told his friend.
"Well, this should be over quick." Rei said as they summoned their own Aura Driver and placed it on their waist.
On a nearby rock above the water, the two girls were sitting next to each other, uncertain about what to say. They both didn't know what they were about to do when they were underwater, and it left them in this awkward silence.
Finally, they decided to break the silence…
"I think…" They said in unison as they stared at each other. "No, you go first." They said again. "No, you!" And again, that awkward silence.
"Um…" Melody got out. "Miko, are you…"
"I like you!" The cat Faunus blurted out.
"That's too sudden!" Melody cried out in shock.
"Just listen!" Miko said as she fiddled with her hands. "We've been best friends since we were kids. And overtime as we grew up, we grew closer and closer, like sisters. But…"
"You think we could be something more?" Melody asked, to which Miko nodded. "But… aren't we technically… related? Since Mom adopted me and Uncle Aaron has your mom and Aunt Yang?"
"I mean, yeah but… remember what Otou-san said? He was raised with mama's family. So, technically they're siblings but they still married each other." Miko pointed out. "Like Uncle Kuro and Aunt Weiss."
"Well, I guess you got a point…"
"So… we could continue the trend."
"Yeah, but… since when have you liked… girls?"
"Uh, well, actually… I like boys and girls… I just… favor girls more." Miko admitted shyly with a heavy blush.
"Oh…" Melody said, with her own blush. "Well… I mean, if it makes you feel better… I… kinda like you too…"
"R-really?" Miko said in surprise as Melody placed a hand over hers. "But what would our friends and family think?"
This made both of their ears droop. As they were about to continue their conversation, something bursted out of the water causing them to scream and hug each other in fright. But their fear was short-lived, seeing that it was none other than Hikari.
"Yukina? What are you doing all armored up?" Melody asked.
"Looking for you two! We got hybrids and Alters swarming the beach and we need help!"
"What?!" Suddenly, the rock they were on rumbled until it exploded, revealing the fin of the shark as they were sent flying into the water. Once they crashed into the water, they saw a shark Grimm going after them, but Hikari smacked its snout causing it to turn its attention to her. It swam towards her with an open maw, its tail smacking into Miko.
The cat Faunus was sent flying across the sea but Melody caught her, but as she did… their lips suddenly meshed together. Both girls were naturally surprised by this before the two had to come up for air.
"W-What was that for?!" Melody cried out.
"I don't know! It just happened!" Miko tried to explain.
"That was my first kiss! Ahhhh, I wanted to do that for my first date!" Melody whined.
"Well… w-we can do a do-over! Once we're done dealing with the Grimm!" Miko said.
"Eh?"
"You said you liked me too, right? So… it should be fine…" Miko said shyly.
"I-I don't know…" Melody said with uncertainty. "I'm sorry!"
The shark bursted out of the water between them, with Hikari battling with it between its teeth.
"We should help her before she gets eaten."
"Right…" Miko said, both of them summoning their driver. "Henshin!"
After transforming into Kamen Riders Luna and Shadow, the duo quickly assisted Hikari.
End Flashback
"And after we took care of the Grimm Hybrids and Alters, Miko and I talked it out, agreeing to go on a date and see how it goes." Melody finished. "And… they say the rest is history."
"Huh…" Aaron said. "Well, that's a pretty neat and cute sto- BLAKE!" He shouted, as he saw the cat Faunus still scribbling away.
"What?" The ninja girl of RWBY looked at the young man in confusion.
"That's it, no more writing for you!" Aaron said, swiping the notepad and pencil away. "And I'm burning your Ninjas of Love too."
"No! Anything but that!" Blake pleaded.
"Then stop writing ideas for a smut novel, using our daughter as inspiration!"
"Alright, I promise, I'll stop!"
Orion leaned over and whispered to Melody, "Does she really?"
Melody could only shrug.
"Wait a minute! If that really was history, then how were Ruby and I responsible for getting you two together?!" Koa said in realization.
"Yeah!" Ruby added, having just walked in a few minutes ago with everyone else.
"That was before summer vacation started." Miko deadpanned.
"Oh…" The two said in unison.
"So yeah, that's still both of your faults." Orion said.
"But is it really a bad thing?" Koa asked.
"Maybe it's best not to ask." Orpheus replied.
"Anyways," Aaron cleared his throat. "There's one thing that I wanna ask. Now that the threat has been averted… are you kids going back to the future?"
The five future children looked at one another then back at their parents, "Actually, dad," Yin spoke, "We were thinking of maybe staying here… with you."
"Wait really?" Ruby said ecstatic.
"Yeah, it's been really cool to hang out with you all and even fight together." Melody added.
"Aww yeah! Now we got some reinforcements against Azrael and his baddies!" Koa cheered.
"You're way too happy about this, mom." Rei said dryly.
"Plus, there's nothing left for us there, so…" Yukina said.
"I see." Aaron nodded. "Well, we're not gonna stop ya, it's your choice after all. And welcome it. But… how exactly are you gonna call our future selves and tell them?"
"Through the special scrolls your future self made for us." Yin said, holding up a high-tech scroll.
"Okay, that's pretty awesome." Kurogasa admitted.
"Well, I don't know about you, but I could use a party after this." Aaron said.
"I agree. I think it's what we definitely need." Yang said in agreement.
"Then let's do it!" Koa cheered.
And with that, our heroes and their futuristic kids had a party in their Rider Base. Thanks to his Semblance, Aaron used Tendou's cooking skills to make a feast for them, while the others helped out with the decorations. Once that was done, the party was on. Music was blasting, food was being eaten, and the party goers were having the time of their lives. It was definitely something they needed after everything they've been through.
Overall, it was a perfect way to end the long, hard-fought battle that nearly destroyed all of Vale.
As the party went on, Aaron could only watch his friends and family with a smile. It was great that they would be able to do this. But… he also knew that it was far from over. Beacon was still on its way to fall. Cinder was still scheming, and Adam was still making final preparations for the White Fang to do their part. And there was also Team ROGE and Azrael. While Schwartz did set back their plans a little bit, Azrael's plan of creating a new Aura Sphere out of Team ROGE was still at large.
The leader of Team JOKR knew that though the battle was won… the war had yet to begin.
KRD: And that's gonna do it folks! Vol. 2 is in the books!
GKC: But don't think it's over yet because we have the long-term Kamen Rider chapter of Climax Heroes Ultima. Which will be our longest chapter to date.
KRD: That's right! It's our heroes turn to face SHOCKER! And it's going to be a long, LONG battle! But it's gonna be epic!
GKC: Yep, but before we go, here's one last message. If any of you have read Fate/5D's, Kamen Rider GX, or Wizard of Zero by Rodrigo Roa Duterte (KRD: Or Kurogane Higashi since he changed the name.) then those are plagiarized fanfictions. Look up StarlightAT on this website and look up KR Duelist on AO3. You'll see what I mean.
KRD: Yeah, those were our stories to begin with and not his. And to that troller, you'll never win against me or anyone else.
SR: And that's just plain disrespectful! They worked really hard to create those stories and anyone who would do such a thing is nothing more than a horrible person.
GKC: I'm amazed that anyone who has read it can't even tell the difference in the writing styles. But whatever, just know that we're not intimidated in the slightest. In fact, I find it rather pathetic that he has to copy and paste other people's writing just to post something since he knows his neo-nazi and fascist stories won't win him any attention.
KRD: But anyways, we'll see you in the Ultima chapter!
SR: And be sure to follow, favorite, and review to keep staying tuned!
GKC: Peace out, everybody!
