Serenity is sitting up in her bed, in the hospital room. She is looking towards the window, which moonlight is coming in through. Though she cannot see any of this, because... you know... she's blind.

The girl will be discharged tomorrow. She didn't have her eye surgery after all. And now, it is too late, even if she changes her mind. Her blindness is permanent, beyond doubt. Therefore, there is no reason for her to further stay in the hospital.

An older woman is consolingly holding her hand. It's an arguably beautiful, middle aged woman with brown, curly, middle length hair. She is Serenity's mother, which, of course, means that she is also Joey's mother.

Speaking of Joey, he bursts into the room, accompanied by a panting Tristan and an equally panting Duke.

'Serenity!' Joey cries, before his mother can react.

The girl gasps.

'Joey!' his mother cries.

'Joey?' Serenity cries.

'This dialogue deserves a nobel literature prize,' Duke whispers to Tristan and the two lads share a quiet laugh.

'Joey, how did you get in here?' Mrs Wheeler asks her son, still flustered. 'It's late, long past the visiting hours.'

'Well, I had to make my way through some security guards,' the blond boy explains, punching his palm with his other hand in order to make his point. That moment, Mrs Wheeler also notices that her son's eye is bruised.

'I helped too, Mrs Wheeler,' Tristan shyly admits, punching his palm too.

'Mom, tell him to go away,' Serenity yells. 'I don't want to talk to him.'

The older woman sighs. 'Joey, I have told you not to resolve your problems through violence. This is not a way to live!'

At such moments, Mrs Wheeler hates her former husband for having been such a bad influence on Joey. And how could a pathetic man like him have been a good influence? The only thing that deadbeat knew how to do was to get drunk and beat her. Which is why, at some point, she decided she had had enough and left him.

Unfortunately, the judge decided that she could take only Little Serenity with her; Little Joey would stay behind, with his father.

Mrs Wheeler regrets allowing this to happen. Well, since that was the judge's decision, perhaps there was nothing she could do anyway. But she had to try. She should have tried to take Joey as well away from that asshole, she should have addressed some feminist action group or something.

'Serenity, please, listen to me,' Joey tries, walking towards his sister.

'GET OUT!' Serenity shrieks, shoving him away. Joey steps back and almost falls on his butt.

'Joey, I think it would be better if you left right now,' their mother tries, in a calm tone of voice.

'Okay, Serenity, listen,' Tristan yells; for all feelings he has for the girl, he can't help being angry at her right now. 'You are unfair. Joey is the best man I know. He would never hurt you, at least not on purpose. You have no idea what he went through at the Duelist Kingdom to get you the money you needed for that operation, only for you to reject everything and slam the door in his face, both literally and figuratively. You...'

'I have no idea who you are, mister, but get out,' Serenity insists.

Tristan sighs. Duke places one hand on Tristan's shoulder and the other hand on Joey's shoulder. 'Let's go, guys. We're wasting our time here.'

'I didn't want it to end like this,' Joey mumbles, with his eyes slowly getting wet. He stumbles with despair. His friends help him walk away.

Joey's sobs resonate in the corridor for a while, until he has got too far for Serenity and her mother to hear him anymore.

'Oh, Serenity,' Joey whispers. He would gladly give his life if that could restore his beloved sister's eyesight.

Now that she has gone permanently blind, now that he has failed even at that, despite the money he somehow got his hands on, what reason does he have to live? What's the point of keeping dueling? What's the point of winning the Battle City tournament? What's the point of defeating that Marik scumb...

Marik! Come to think of it, it's all his fault! If his goons hadn't interfered that night, he would have managed to arrive at the hospital to give Serenity courage and she would have had the operation and now she would be able to see. Curse you, Marik.

That scumbag has to pay. Yeah, come to think of, Joey still has a reason to live. Revenge! He will make Marik pay, even if this is the last thing he will ever do!

'Just wait for me, Marik,' the blond boy whispers with hatred.

That moment, the security guards' voices are heard. 'We have spotted the intruders!'

The three boys start running.

Robert Schmeichel is sitting in a chair, in his hotel room, with his legs crossed. His eyes are roaming around and playing tag with the moonlight.

Seto Kaiba is standing close to him, with his back leaning against the wall and his arms crossed. 'Tomorrow in the evening, the Battle City quarter finals shall begin,' he breaks the silence at some point.

'Yeah, I'm aware,' Robert sighs. 'And I have qualified, so, please, stop talking for no reason. I'm fond neither of your stupid voice nor of your ugly mug.'

'The feeling is mutual,' Kaiba smiles, with his arms still crossed. His smile is anything but friendly. 'Just remember that, tomorrow, you have to crush your opponent, no matter who they are. Or else...'

'Do you ever shut up?' Robert snaps, jumping to his feet and startling Kaiba, who flinches. 'I know I have no other choice than to win, because reasons, otherwise there will be consequences yada yada. Why do you keep saying the same things over and over? Why am I obliged to hear your stupid voice non stop?'

Seto clenches his fists and trains his eyes on his blond partner. His look is now stern. 'As I have said in the past, there is no harm in reminding you from time to time things that you must never forget. And watch your tongue! It seems you have forgotten that you owe me everything. It seems you have forgotten that you need me, that your life depends on me!'

'Just as you need me!' it is now Robert's turn to remind Kaiba. 'Our lives depend on each other! Either we will be saved together or we will be lost together. Therefore, quit threats. Because you know that, if I go down, I'll take you with me.'

Kaiba growls, unable to come up with a retort, much to his frustration.

This Robert guy... He's getting more and more sassy over time. Less obedient, harder to control. Perhaps it was not a good idea to choose him for this plan after all. Unfortunately, now it is too late for the former tycoon to regret his choices.

Unfortunately, Robert is right. Either Kaiba likes it or not, his and Robert's fates are now tied together. Either they will successfully jump to the other side of the river together or they will fall into the water and drown together.

Ishizu and Mai are hanging out in the latter's room. Ishizu has been invited over.

They both are wearing white bathrobes. Towels are wrapped around their hair. Ahh, that bath was refreshing. And both of them needed it. Especially Mai, after all she went through today (I remind you that she fell in a fountain, to what could have been her death, a few hours ago).

Now, they are sitting on the couch, cross legged, chatting and giggling.

'So, the quarter finals will begin tomorrow at nine o clock, huh?' Ishizu maintains conversation.

'Yup,' the blonde woman casually responds. 'Wanna come along, Isa?'

'I don't think the security guards will let me in, since I have not qualified,' the tan skinned woman explains. 'In the future the Millennium Necklace showed me long ago, the one where Yugi defeated you at the Duelist Kingdom rather than the other way around, I was supposed to take part in the tournament and qualify for the quarter finals. However, in this future, I didn't even register for this tournament to begin with, so...'

'So, you're coming along!' Mai interrupts her friend, in a determined tone of voice, but also with a smile and a wink. 'As for the security guards, don't worry. In the worst case, I'll just seduce them or something, so that they get distracted and you can get in!'

Ishizu gasps. How bold and shameless can this blonde woman get?

That moment, something draws the two females' attention. The Millennium Necklace, which is placed on a table... it is glowing!

Ishizu gasps. She jumps to her feet and runs over to the aforementioned table. The towel around her hair is accidentally untied and falls on the floor. 'The Millennium Necklace,' she mumbles, awed, with her hair dripping. 'It is trying to tell me something!'

'Huh?' Mai nonchalantly raises an eyebrow, untying her towel and squeezing whatever little water is left out of her hair. 'I thought you said that this thingie doesn't work properly anymore.'

Ignoring her friend, Ishizu picks up the artifact and eyes it. 'What is it, Millennium Necklace?'

The golden item wordlessly speaks, directly to her heart. As a reaction, Ishizu's eyes widen. 'So, you want me to find Serenity, Joey's sister?' she whispers. 'And convince her to attend the Battle City finals?'

Night. Bakura is walking on the dark, deserted streets. Alone. He's heading to Yugi's house.

He knows that it's impolite to disturb the Mutos at this hour, but he has to tell them. He has to talk to them about the spirit of the Millennium Ring. That demonic entity!

Who knows where that spirit is right now? Who knows what it is up to? Who knows whose body it is possessing? Whoever it is, Bakura feels sorry for him or her. Nobody, not even the most heinous criminal, deserves to be possessed by that fiend.

There is a knock at Yugi's door. Yugi (still in his Yami form) opens. The Pharaoh gasps.

'Tea?' he exclaims, with his eyes widening. 'What are you doing here this late in the night?'

'I'm sorry, Yugi,' Tea pants with arousal. 'I know I needed rest after all I went through today, but I can't take it anymore. I need you right now. I need your large cock right now!'

Yugi's eyes bulge. 'Did you say my coc...'

'Just make love to me already, you handsome boy!' Tea interrupts him and pushes him inside the apartment, slamming the door behind her.

Next, she lets her coat fall, revealing that she wasn't wearing anything underneath!

Yugi is gaping at her in disbelief for a while. Is it possible that she's... brainwashed?

The next thing he knows, he's on the floor, with Tea having removed all his clothes and riding him cowgirl style. 'YES, FUCK ME! FUCK ME LIKE THE SLUT THAT I AM!'

Yugi soon gives in to the pleasure and starts reciprocating. The room is resonating with sweet, love making sounds.

Until Tea's face is replaced by... Rexes face.

'What the...' Yugi cries, only to realize that his voice is now Weevil's voice.

Wait, he is Weevil indeed!

Yes, now that he has just woken up, he remembers everything. He is Weevil. He is sleeping in his hotel room, with Rex snoring next to him. Both of them are wearing only their respective boxers.

Rex mumbles in his sleep and turns to the other side.

Weevil switches to a supine position. He's staring at the ceiling in awe. Wow, what a wonderful dream. And, if everything goes well, tomorrow, it will be a reality!

The unscrupulous teenager represses a chuckle.

There is a knock at Yugi's door (for real this time, no more dreams). Yugi (currently in his normal form) opens. The underdeveloped boy gasps.

'Bakura?' he exclaims, with his eyes widening. 'What are you doing here this late in the night?'

The white haired boy is panting, clutching his chest (he ran the last 100 meters or so). 'I apologize for disturbing you at such an inappropriate moment,' he says, with his British accent. 'But I need to talk to you. About him!'

'Him who?' Yugi scratches his head, still puzzled, but also worried.
