CHAPTER 6 - THE LAST PART OF THE FINAL YEAR IN HOGWARTS
00000
It was the next day later as the time seem to pass by so fast and the Elven King Thranduil of the Woodland Realm woke up instantly from his bed and hurried to change so that he will continue watching the Dream-sharing of his pair, with the others.
Even though he's really anxious and upset that his soulmate pair will be going through the other two trials that she was forced to do, Thranduil had to calm down and maintain his cool so that he wouldn't alarm his son and friends, as he's trying to keep up his image as the Elven King. But he didn't know that all of them, including Gandalf, were glad that Thranduil has become very emotional since he found his soulmate.
Despite that it distresses him that she's in another world, they will comfort him and help him through his troubles as well as find a way to help them.
As they settle down and gather around in the private room with the magical memory ball in place, King Thranduil motioned at his guards to leave and stand guard outside, except the Captain of the Guard herself, Lady Tauriel.
Legolas, the other Elven rulers, Gandalf, Tauriel, and King Thranduil sat down in their seats, they relax and watch as the glowing memory ball shine brightly to activate from the magic phrase again and show them the scenes, continuing the adventures or trials that Hari, the Elven King's soulmate pair is going through.

After Hari had won her trial on the First Task on obtaining the Golden Egg from the Horntail dragon she had faced, defeated, and made it out alive, the disguised elf maiden hurriedly went back to the private dorms with her dwarf friend Sunny.
It was a little difficult to escape through a mob that instantly hounded and crowded around her like she won first place in the task, but in reality, her scores only got her to second place from Viktor Krum, the Durmstrang champion-despite that she never cared about the tournament scoring or her rank placing in this accursed wizard tournament. Hari managed to elude and escape the mob of people, thanks to Sunny when she had the magic invisibility cloak with her, ducked under it and swiftly left while the surprised crowd tried to look for the suddenly missing Hogwarts champion.
It didn't take long for the two girls to get there and they also decided to bring Neville, Hermione, and Luna with them since they wanted to be a part of it on helping Hari out to get through the tournament.
When they got inside, Hari and Sunny discarded the cloak before the three children followed in behind them and Hari hid it, just so they won't get any mischievous ideas on seeing it and then using it. Hermione and Luna quickly hugged Hari, relieved that she made it out alright while Neville demanded excitedly about the Golden Egg that Hari successfully obtained.
Sunny was silent but looked at her friend demandingly about the Second Task's next clue and Hari brought it out for them to see. The dwarf girl eyed the egg-like object with intense perusing eyes, studying the intricate design on the surface like she's helping Hari to discern what kind of clue she'll be going through on the next task of the tournament.
But when Hari opened the golden egg upon noticing a latch and lining around it, it suddenly emits a very loud screeching wail, and instantly everyone in the room covered their ears to try to save their hearing from being deafened by it. Hari dropped the golden egg startled as she covered her sensitive elf ears.
Even those that were watching and listening on the Dream-sharing, everyone reacted the same with hands instantly covering over their ears.
"By great Eru and all the Valar! That is very LOUD!" Elrond exclaimed incredulously as he shuts his eyes closed and clamps his hands tight over his elf ears while trying to ignore the screeching but couldn't.
"AAH! QUICK, SHUT IT! BEFORE WE ALL BECOME DEAFENED TO DEATH!" Sunny cried out loud, clamping her hands over her ears tight, trying in vain to save her hearing.
Hari reacted quickly and kicked the egg right at the wall so that it would shut itself closed. The wailing screeching sounds stopped and everyone relaxed with relief.
"Oh my goodness! What was that?!" Hermione exclaimed incredulously, staring wide-eyed shocked at Hari's egg, trying to figure out what is the clue from it.
Neville shook his head like he's trying to shake off the ringing in his ears. "If I didn't know any better-it almost sounded like someone being tortured to death!" he said anxiously.
Hermione scolded him sternly. "Neville, don't be silly! The teachers wouldn't condone such an awful barbaric task like that if that were really the case."
"Hmm…from the sounds of it, I think it may be a Banshee or something similar like that," Luna said as she tilt her head to the side curiously and looked like she wasn't phased at all from when she almost got deaf before from the wailing egg. She inquired, "Does that mean you're going to have to fight one?"
Sunny shook her head in a negative. "If that were really the case-then the Second Task should be harder with a more dangerous creature than the Dragon-instead of a low-level type monster." Sunny stared at the egg closer when she was the one who bravely moved to pick it up from it was lying on the floor and continue studying it.
Hari went closer to her friend to look at it too but she didn't speak until her dwarf-friend is finished studying the egg.
"Anything?" Hari finally asked when she watched Sunny looking thoughtful after she studied the egg.
Sunny shook her head solemnly in a negative and handed the egg back to her. "No. I can't figure out what kind of clue this egg is supposed to give you, given its intricate surface design on it or the screeching wail. Sorry."
Hari sighed and smiled reassuringly, "Well, at least you tried. Maybe the library has some answers for us when we look and research there."
Sunny agreed and the two girls ushered the kids to go back to class and resume their lessons, while the two of them sent off their magic doubles before they went to the library secretly, as usual, to see if they could find any answers or clues to help Hari to figure out the Golden Egg and solving it. But to their disappointment, they couldn't find anything that sounds similar to the magical egg's wailing, nor did they find any comparison or clues about it, that will help Hari solve what kind of trial she'll be going through in the Second Task.
Before they had a chance to find other means to get answers for Hari's clue for the Second Task, something surprising came up that was announced by one of the professors in the school, regarding a special tradition that they'll be upholding besides the tournament.
And that is the Yule Ball.
Hari was surprised that time has passed by so fast, that she and her friend Sunny didn't realize and had forgotten about that kind of celebrating tradition the Istari usually upholds in the magic school. But then she instantly felt annoyed by it, because once the announcement about the Yule Ball has been given, there were many troublesome males that tried to ask her out to be the partner for the ball. And they're all doing it selfishly and greedily because she's one of the Chosen champions of the Triwizard Tournament.
She wasn't the only one suffering from this, as she noticed that poor Fleur is being hounded upon fiercely by her male admirers while Viktor tries to ignore or dissuade away the female followers that were persistent up to the point of stalking him.
Hari sighed with exasperation when the males tried to insist on getting her as a partner for the ball, so almost every time, she had to use her magic invisibility cloak to hide and escape from the annoying pursuers. Despite that she had refused them politely, they still persist in asking her out for the Yule Ball, determined with their greedy and shameless intentions towards her, so she had to use drastic evasive measures.
King Thranduil wasn't pleased about this too, and his friends nearly backed away, leaning back when his aura radiated with his fury upon watching the annoying males try to pursue his pair. Even though they could see that she's using the magic cloak to hide and evade successfully from them, they saw that they always try to find a chance or weak spot to catch Hari off-guard and attempt to ask her out as a partner for the ball.
They become relieved at last and King Thranduil finally relaxed from his rage when someone, who is honorable and sensible, politely asked her for the ball, and much to their surprise, it was someone they didn't expect to ask Hari as a partner.
Hari and Sunny are in their private dorms, almost a night later, near the date and time for the incoming Yule party they're preparing for.
Sunny already got her dress prepared upon joining the ball too, but she decided to go without a partner with the given excuse to the teachers that the dwarf-girl is relieved that they're allowing her to.
It looks like Luna, Hermione, Neville, and some young students were allowed and permitted to attend the Yule Ball too but with supervision from their respective House professors and prefects.
"By the way-about the Yule Ball, who was the guy that asked you out on going there anyway?" Sunny asked as she brought out the mannequins with various dresses on them to show Hari for her to choose what to wear, helping her friend out for the ball.
"Try not to be too shocked, Sunny…for it was Viktor Krum of Durmstrang who asked me out," Hari responded with a rueful smile.
Sunny was completely shocked upon hearing this and dumbfounded and Hari held back the amused grin when she saw her face as she calmly explained. "Both of us didn't want the attention from others who pursued us into wanting fame and glory as being Triwizard Champions so Viktor thought that it would be good if we both go together to the ball for nothing."
Sunny snapped out of her shocked daze, nodded approvingly, and rolled her eyes at her friend's statement, "Well, at least that there is one decent guy who was polite enough to ask you out, without needing your attention and such." she said with a small shrug, internally glad for her friend that there's someone nice to help her out from the Yule Ball partner dilemma.
Hari nodded with agreement at her friend as she was glad for it too when Viktor Krum asked her. Then she turned to look at the dresses that Sunny is bringing out and showing them for her to choose, and her brows furrowed a bit with trepidation.
"Sunny, I don't think I need to wear any of these kinds of dresses," she said.
"Nonsense! You deserve to dress up and look like the grand belle of the ball! Just take a look at all of them and pick what you like!" Sunny waved off her elf friend's protests and made a grand gesture at them when she finished bringing them out and let Hari take her pick.
Hari looked hesitant and uncertain for she glanced that there are some dresses she saw that she's not comfortable wearing, like those styles with no sleeves or shoulder covers, or those with spots that reveal skin. The revealing type of dresses is not those she felt very sure about wearing for others to see it except her soulmate pair.
Then Sunny smiled when Hari caught sight of one of the dresses that got her interest and was staring at it like judging, which is designed in super shiny-ness with its golden colors and lining designs. "You like that dress?"
"It's…tempting but-it's too much. I'd rather not stand out than I'm already am. Wearing that dress won't help at all," Hari commented.
Sunny eyed the dress she has made critically for a moment and then nodded in agreement at her friend's words. "You're right!" then she reached out one hand and deftly pushed that golden-dressed mannequin away as if it offended her very sights, which almost made Hari giggle at her dwarf friend's actions.
Then Hari looked around once more before she finally caught sight and chose a dress that appealed to her, which is designed in a rich royal-like silver gown with intricate Celtic designs and a few starry-gems are covered in it, almost making the beautiful dress shine like real stars when the light catches upon it straight, but in addition, the dress also appeared to be designed in a way for protection as well, when Hari noticed upon studying it closer, she saw that Sunny used Mithril armor to make this amazing dress which will be suitable for parties and celebrations.
Sunny looked at the dress that Hari chose and nodded with approval before she used magic to take back and hide away all the other dresses except the one Hari picked. Hari went to the bathroom to try on the dress by Sunny's request for she needs to check if there are loose cloth ends or tightness or anything else that needs to be adjusted.
When Hari came out, wearing the Mithril shining silver royal-like gown, Thranduil was staring at his pair, very pleased and secretly aroused at the beautiful sight of her, donning this battle-type yet formal party dress. Lady Galadriel was criticizing Hari's dress intently and she approved of its beautifully crafted design and murmured aloud that she would like to have this dwarf girl create and make a few dresses, similar to it.
After Sunny double-checked everything, almost running around the still-standing Hari, to see if the dress is made right, and once she confirmed it, she ushered her friend again to change back to her normal clothes, so that she'll prepare and get the gown ready for the Yule Ball. But before she was about to, Hari remembered something and turned to her friend.
"By the way, have you seen my sword?" Hari asked her friend Sunny as she looked around confused in their room. "I've been looking all over for it when I noticed it missing since then but-I can't seem to find it for some sudden reason."
Sunny grinned like she's got a secret she's excited to show her.
Hari noticed this and instantly felt wary about it. "Sunny…what did you do?" she asked nervously like she might not like what her friend had done to the sword, which was a magical founder's priceless artifact.
Sunny instantly became offended when she noted the kind of tone her friend is making but brushed it off as she huffed at her. "Relax! I just made a few improvements with your sword-so that you can carry it around with you all the time, just like with your wand, bow, and arrows."
Hari watched as Sunny went to grab for her sword and take it out, but she blinked in confusion when she took out a pen instead and handed it over to her. Her friend ushered her to press on the clicker, grinning mischievously like she knows what's going to happen next, and Hari blinked again in confusion at this.
But once she clicked on the golden pen she's holding, Hari almost got the supreme shock in her life when the pen magically transformed into the sword she had been searching for and she was stunned completely by surprise as Sunny grinned wider at the expression on Hari's face.
The others watching this were also stunned shocked at this amazing magic the dwarf-girl has made for Hari, as they all stared wide-eyed and Lord Elrond and Gandalf were nearly gaping their mouths wide open at the sight.
"Sunny! What did you do?!" Hari cried out in shock and wonder as she stared at her weapon which has been turned into a magical pen that will be easy to carry around, as her magic stick-bow.
Sunny chuckled gleefully like she's very happy with Hari's reaction and seemed to have expected it, as she explained to her. Hari listened to her what she did with her sturdy inventive hands to ensure that the sword is magically made right like how she intricately copied the same way from the magic bow and did the same with the sword so that Hari would have it with her always as an added protection.
"Thank you, Sunny…you didn't have to go this far to do this for me," Hari said smiling widely with gratitude and appreciation at her friend, just as she clicked the sword at the same button she pressed on and it magically transforms back into the intricate golden pen and she carefully placed it aside her magic stick-bow, invisible cloak, and her other things at her bed.
Sunny shrugged, grinning wide back at her like she likes being appreciated for her works as a dwarf master craftsman. She said, "Don't sweat it, girlfriend. This is the least I could give and do for you since you've been forced into this blasted Istari tournament. I figured that you need all the help you need to get through this."
Hari sighed, "I see you noticed that, huh?"
From what Hari meant by her words, was that the magic Golems she created in the secret magical room, weren't enough for Hari to train and be prepared for what's next to come at the Second Task of the tournament. Not to mention the fact that she still hasn't solved the clue on the Golden Egg, for she tried using magical or physical measures to figure out the reason why the egg gives out a high screech like that when opened, and failed upon getting no answer or solution about it.
"I thought having the other house-elves train with you is enough, how come?" Sunny inquired about it when Hari's friend also noticed that only a few times, she saw them helping Hari and train with her to be prepared to face this tournament.
Hari points out calmly, "You have to understand, Sunny. Like us, they need to maintain their cover as the real house-elves themselves in this world, so that other wizards and witches won't notice something unusual about them and won't get them found out and caught if they did."
Sunny nodded in understanding. Then Hari said more to her, "Not to mention the fact, that with this wizard tournament going on, I can't take the chances of asking someone else to help me with my training, besides you, and risk that they might find out my true appearance. Even with those, I believe that we can trust, including our young friends here."
"Ugh! I hate it when you said it right with these reasonable statements you just pointed out," Sunny cursed, looking like she was eager and looking forward to asking for help from certain people.
Both Hari and Sunny were in a gloomy upset mood for a moment but Sunny snapped them out of it like she needs to brighten up the atmosphere quickly before it gets any gloomier.
"Actually, there's something else I need to ask you about. You see, the next better question I want to know is-WHAT ARE THOSE!?" Sunny exclaimed incredulously, staring at something right at her friend's feet below beside her gown, and Hari didn't jump in surprise at her sudden dramatic shouting as she giggled knowingly upon what she saw.
Hari twirled around to show off the silver-white high heels she's wearing on her feet, almost making her look more regal than before, besides the beautiful royal-like formal dress she's wearing.
"O-M-G! I can't believe an Elf like you is actually wearing high heels!" Sunny remarked aloud in surprise and wonder.
Hari giggled again as she casually replied. "Well, I figured I should go in a complete ensemble and present myself with fine style so that I'll show them that I'm not one to underestimate."
"Damn, girl-I didn't know you actually had it in you!" she comments.
Hari just shrugged and then twirled herself around again in an expert graceful manner that nearly mystified her dwarf friend Sunny as she watched her show off.
Thranduil, on the other hand, frowned at this sight as he deftly remarked. "Those do not look comfortable nor do they look safe."
Elrond held back his amused snort like he expected that response, while Lady Galadriel and Tauriel were staring at the high heels Hari were wearing with keen interest like the two elf women wanted to know what they're like if they're also wearing them.
It didn't take long for Sunny to realize as she can hear clearly what that tapping sounds like as Hari continued spinning and twirling herself around and about. "No way…are the spikes on those heels metal?!" she exclaimed again incredulously stunned.
Hari nodded with a wide grin on her face and added saying. "Sharp metal spikes, to be precise, my friend."
"What? So you decided to turn your heeled shoes as weapons too or something!? Seriously?" Sunny asked dubiously.
Hari just shrugged and said, "I figured that I need to be wholly prepared to protect and defend myself, even if it's just going into a simple ball event such as this. Who knows? You can never be too careful if any enemies are lurking about and waiting to crash into the party, so the humans used to say." Hari thought over what she just said and shook her head as she commented. "Honestly, I can never understand why humans say such ludicrous sayings or phrases such like that. So very strange yet uniquely odd."
"Stylish and lethal…I like it!" Sunny remarked with a wide grin on her face. Hari giggled like she expected that response from her friend again.
Thranduil seemed to have changed his mind upon hearing that Hari modified her shoes to be some sort of weapons and considered a little that they might be useful. And it wasn't long until the very night of the Yule Ball came, and the Elven king watched enviously as the Istari male Viktor Krum escorted the beautiful Hari into the grand party that's being held in the Great Hall of the magic school and they were the first to arrive as they were requested to start up the ball with their presence.
Thranduil truly wished that he was there in reality because he did not like how almost all the male Istaris are staring at his mate with such leering lusty eyes and the girls were glaring angrily with jealously at Hari.
Fortunately, the celebrating and dancing in that party of the Yule Ball isn't long for Hari and Sunny to stay there long enough on wanting to be there. He and his friends watched that after Hari and the Durmstrang champion had their dance, she thanked him gratefully and told him subtly that she's leaving and Viktor Krum let her go as she left swiftly like a shadow in the night. Along with her friend Sunny going along with her to leave since she has no companion, which the dwarf girl didn't mind it one bit.
However, they saw, much to their instant wariness, as well as Thranduil tensing upon the sight, there were three male Istari who noticed the two maidens leaving and they sneakily followed after them.
Hari was already aware of the stalking followers when she and Sunny left the Yule Ball earlier than usual from the Great Hall, and she instantly knew that they mean trouble when she glanced by and noticed that her friend Sunny is hiding in the shadows like she's standing guard in case they try anything.
Hari was calm and composed as she stopped upon her walking back to the Gryffindor dorms, turned around, and confronted them. "Come on out of there. Or do you wish to stand by in the shadows like the kind of cowardly stalkers that you all are?"
She said the latter statement as a taunt and it worked when the three teenage Istari males revealed themselves to her presence.
The one in the middle who appeared to be the leader sneered at her and said, "Come now, don't be like that. I just like to ask if it's alright if my friends and I escort you back to your dorms?"
Hari knew better than that that their intentions were more scrupulous and nefarious than just being polite escorts. She huffed at him and held her head high like she's regarding them as dirt instead of fellow housemates of this magic school. "Thank you, but no thank you. I can walk back to my dorms by myself. So if you kindly would all leave me be then. I bid you goodnight."
She tries to sound as polite but also disparaging and disinterested in the males so that they would try to get the hint.
Galadriel murmured worriedly to herself, "Oh dear, I do hope she'll be alright. I'm not sure that those heels of hers…might be good weapons to defend herself."
Thranduil ignored when he heard that from her as he focused on his pair, hands nearly clenching into tight grips against his chair.
Unfortunately, none of the three didn't like it at all as the one in the right frowned fiercely and tried to grab her by the arm, and the leader didn't stop him from reacting as such for he sneered with more evil intentions that are gleaming in his beady eyes.
But they're going to learn the hard way to not underestimate the girl Hari…as well as her hidden friend Sunny.
"Why, you little-AHH! OW!"
The wizard cried out in sudden pain when he made the wrong move into grabbing her arm.
Hari quickly strikes with her improvised sharp spiky heels, by jabbing her right foot straight to one of his feet and he fell down instantly on his back on the floor when she swept him off his feet with some sort of martial-arts move, groaning and crying with pained agony and clutching his injured appendage. Before the other two was about to react, Sunny came out of hiding to take down one of them, and then Hari swiftly revealed her sword from the magic pen she had hidden on her and poised it expertly near to the neck of the leader when he tried to attack her from her blind-side but failed.
He froze still in shock and fear, also his other buddy as well when he got swiftly taken down by Sunny to join the other one still on the floor and there was a tense silence except for the fallen wizard who's still moaning pathetically like a child in pain from when Hari jabbed him with her sharp heels.
Galadriel smiled at the sight and remarked coyly. "Well now, I change my mind-those high heels can be quite useful weapons."
Thranduil was proud that his soulmate pair can defend herself against those uncouth perverted Istaris, while Elrond and Legolas chuckled amused at the sight.
After rendering them defenseless and stunned by the two girls' attacks, both Hari and Sunny knew that they can't leave them like this with the memory of them wielding hidden weapons that they just revealed, which is Hari's sword and Sunny's ax. So without further ado, Hari struck without warning and hesitation at the male Istari, with a memory-erasing spell that she learned and practiced perfectly, and erased the events of them holding weapons, except the part that they were taken down with such ease by two girls, much to their embarrassment.
After doing that and leaving the three stunned boys there, Hari and Sunny calmly walked back to the Gryffindor dorms but at a hurried pace, in case someone might come by and find the three males lying on the floor unconscious.
When the two made it to the dorms without anyone else noticing them and such, as the two returned into their room and got inside, Hari turned to her friend and said casually with a smile. "You better let it out Sunny, before you hurt yourself if you keep holding it in."
It was an instant split-second for Sunny to erupt and burst out laughing uncontrollably as she clutched herself with arms around her waist, nearly falling over to roll on the floor with laughter as Hari looked at her amused.
"Hahaha-oh by great Mahal, that was brilliant! Haha! Remind me not to mess with you, girl! Damn-I didn't think that you actually had it in you!" Sunny said between laughing continuously as she managed to move towards her bed before she ends up falling down on the floor from her laughing.
Hari huffed as she gracefully sat down on her bed. "Well, at least they learned their lesson after I had finished dealing with them. I bet by the next morning, the people who witnessed us will spread the word about what I did and they'll know better not to underestimate me."
"Yeah-and it's a good thing that you erased part of their memories of us having weapons hidden in our persons," Sunny added in a grateful tone, upon realizing their mistake on revealing their hidden trump cards that they've been hiding from the school teachers since they first started there.
Hari nodded in agreement and was glad that she did, and it didn't take long for what happened last night at the Yule Ball to spread by the next day after the Yule Ball ended and was done with. And there was a bit of an exaggeration when a student passerby had found the three fallen boys and tried to confront them over what happened. But the three males kept their mouths shut and were silent until one of them broke down and told his fellow Housemates from the modified memory he got about what happened back then.
When the rumors or word broke out about Hari's fierce prowess on taking down three teen boys by herself when they tried to assault her, which they got punished by the teacher upon being found out and put into detention for it, there are many who regarded Hari with awe and wonder, while others are slightly afraid of her. In which the fear is a good thing because one of the students was about to talk badly about her to a witch reporter who does nothing but spread false truth and bad gossip in the magical newspaper but changed his mind upon finding out about Hari.
It was also a good thing though that earlier on, when the First Task happened, that certain reporter didn't get the chance to be nosy and needle her way into finding out about Hari, because she used her sharp wits and fearsome countenance to intimidate and scare the witch away from spreading such false words concerning her.
And Hari was not ashamed on doing so when Sunny took a chance into reading the magical newspaper at the time when word was spreading about her, not knowing that Sunny was in on it too, and the dwarf was scowling fiercely on seeing the gossip and false rag kind of stuff that are in the paper.
Sunny scoffed in disgust as she threw the newspaper away like it's all garbage. "Bah! Gossip! Good thing you scared that silly twit of a witch away from trying to interview you, Hari. Who knows what kind of bad content she'd be writing about you?"
Hari nodded in agreement and despite that, she'd rather turn her focus into trying to solve the clue of the Golden Egg but she's still got no luck on figuring it out. However, Hari should have known better than to watch her back more carefully what's going on around her, such as the fan club she suddenly got without knowing it.
A fan club that got so devoted to her, to the point that they used extreme measures to get her attention more. Such as they take down or disparage any bad word or rumor that would be spread about Hari, and before she found out and realized about it, it already grew to that very point where she need to also deal with them before it might get any worse or something.
Like what happened in the next day ahead after the two days from the Yule Ball night, Hari got another gift or present from her devoted fans and she's not sure whether she should be flattered or very concerned at the kind of attention she's getting, since she's so busy trying to solve the frustrating puzzle that is the egg clue for the Second Task.
It was either Hermione and Neville, who tried to stop Hari's admirers and fans but their efforts were in vain and apologized sincerely, who handed over the gifts to Hari and she just smiled in thanks and brought them back to the private dorms where Sunny is waiting for her and was the one sorting out the gifts and presents, ensuring that none of them were enchanted or laced with something bad to bring harm to Hari.
"Ohh great-another one!?" Sunny exclaimed incredulously when she looked up as Hari entered and then saw the gift box she's holding right now and then.
Hari sighed, "Hermione told me that she tried to get the Prefects or the teachers to stop them but-they were quite persistent."
"Alright, let me have it here and get it checked over to see if there are any nasty spells on it," Sunny gestured to her friend to hand it over.
"You know, you don't have to do this all by yourself. I can help," Hari points out.
"True-but you need to focus on solving the egg clue first for the next task, instead of looking over all the presents given by your devoted fans."
Hari figured that Sunny had a point for once and she handed over the gift box before moving to her bed, trying to study it more closely and finding some meaningful clue of it so that she'll be ready and prepared to face the Second Task.
When Sunny opened the box, she blinked in confusion when she saw that the gift only contains chocolates, as it seems to be usual from the other boxes before, but it didn't take long for her to notice the difference when the sweets started smelling too sweet for its own good that Hari even noticed it too.
"Sunny? What is that very sweet delicious smell?" Hari asked and she sounded like she's been hypnotized into some kind of enchanted daze upon smelling the chocolates that Sunny opened up the box from.
Upon realizing what happened, Sunny quickly shut the box closed, and almost like a real switch, Hari blinked out of her daze and looked confused like she's wondering what just happened to her.
"Sunny, what…?"
"It's the chocolates!"
"I'm sorry…?"
"The chocolates are laced with something because I know for a fact…that those normal chocolates wouldn't smell that good!" Sunny stated with a fierce frown as she slowly opened the box to grab one piece of chocolate and then crush it in her fist to see its inner contents.
After she did that, Sunny's face darkened even further like she's furious over what she had discovered from the laced chocolates and Hari asked her worriedly. "What is it? Are they poisoned?"
"Worse…they've all been laced with Amortentia-I mean, Love potions!" Sunny snarled angrily as the dwarf looked like she wanted to run for her ax and chop the box of chocolates into pieces before her.
Hari blinked in confusion and disbelief. "Love…potions? Surely, you're joking."
Those who were watching were aghast at this dreadful knowledge.
"They also make love potions there!?" Lady Galadriel exclaimed incredulously horrified.
"I'm not joking this time, for once. With just one bite from this-, you'll instantly fall in love with whoever the potion maker did this! And judging by how potent and powerful the concoction is when you can smell it from your bed across from mine…it's strong enough to get you into a hypnotized daze and make you feel the urge to eat them so that you'll follow on the path on whoever made this!" Sunny explained with a furious look on her face.
Hari gasped in shock and was horrified that she was nearly enthralled by the enchanted chocolates.
Thranduil wasn't any better and the others were looking at him warily and nearly backed away from him as his whole being is radiating with raging stormy fury over the criminal who would dare to do this at his soulmate.
Before Sunny was about to throw them away, Hari stopped her, making her look at her friend incredulously.
"Wait…I have a better idea," Hari said with a sudden devious grin on her face like she has a mischievous idea she wanted to do, concerning the sender of the love-potion laced chocolates.
Sunny became confused and when the next day came, right there in the Great Hall, it didn't take long for her to find out what Hari had in mind.
What Hari had done to the enchanted chocolates…she returned it back to the sender but made sure that it was in another gift box so that he won't find out that it was from her, to take it as a sign of rejection or something like that.
But Hari enchanted the chocolates to reverse the love-potion effect onto him when he eats it and makes a fool of himself right there in the middle of the school hall-under the spell of the strong enchantment that forced him to sing a horrible love song towards one of the teachers-specifically the Gryffindor Head, Ms. McGonagall.
All the students in the hall tried to hold back their amusement but they failed as they all burst out laughing and McGonagall was not pleased with what just happened as she instantly Stunned the boy unconscious and then demanded Professor Snape to find out what's wrong with him and why he was acting that way.
Sunny snorted, her hand over her mouth to stop herself from joining in the raucous laughter and merriment spread out in the hall and she murmured softly to her smiling friend. "Remind me again not to make you mad…because that was bloody wicked and absolutely brilliant, my friend! Wow! I didn't know that you actually had it in you-you mischievous trickster, you!"
Hari hummed. "Why, thank you. I pride myself in having thought of these sorts of ideas whenever I think of them."
"My! She is quite brilliant and very devious! I don't know whether this is truly a good-or perhaps a bad thing for you, my friend," Elrond commented to Thranduil when he thought that Hari's idea is slightly similar to what his twin mischievous sons would think of too.
Thranduil didn't retort or comment on it because he's proud that Hari found a way to get back at the criminal perpetrator who tried to enthrall her with those love-potion laced chocolates.
It didn't take long for the teachers to find out that the foolish student was also the potion-maker culprit that makes Love Potions secretly and had attempted to enthrall some girls to fall in love with him-namely, Hari-and both Professor McGonagall and Snape were so furious upon the loathsome discovery that they demanded at Headmaster Dumbledore that he should be expelled immediately from the school and sent to magic prison.
However, they were disappointed with disbelief and disgust that the Headmaster brushed them off and only gave the student a light punishment of detention and insisted that there was no need for a harsher one since he believes that he regretted his mistake and will repent for his 'light' crime.
Both Hari and Sunny were also disgusted in shocked disbelief that Dumbledore would do such a thing upon the fact that he's showing or simply giving naive favoritism to a student who had done the most heinous crime and was let off of it.
Thranduil was also very displeased at this but not that much angrier than Gandalf himself when he seemed to darken with fury upon this old Istari's actions on letting off a criminal who would attempt such a love potion into a victim.
Elrond and Galadriel exchanged looks like they're both wondering in their minds on who they should be warier of a possible incoming exploding temper-the Elven King Thranduil or their Istari friend Mirthrandir.
Still, Hari and Sunny are both relieved and satisfied that the student got the punishment he deserved when McGonagall was allowed to dish it upon him. And it seemed that after the detention made, the student truly learned his lesson as he continued with the classes, mingling with his housemates but with a pale scared expression on his face like he's been terrorized by a horrible monster or terrifying ghost.
If the disguised magical girls didn't know any better…it's like their Gryffindor Head had enlisted the help from the fearsome Professor Moody who seemed to be smiling gleefully after the punishment of the student had ended that time.
In any case, after the love potion incident was done with, and Hari and Sunny didn't have to worry more about the fans sending their persistent fan mail for Hari when Hermione and Luna helped them to put a complete stop to it when approaching their Dorm heads about it, Hari returns to the main important matter that she has to deal with, which is figuring out and deducing the Golden Egg clue so that she knows what she's going to face in the next Second Task of the Triwizard Tournament.
Luckily, it seems that another one of the Champions, namely the young miss Fleur Delacour of Beauxbatons, has decided to help Hari out into figuring out the clue when Hari, by chance or coincidence, was kind enough to escort Fleur's younger sister Gabrielle into finding her sister when she came to the magic school Hogwarts in an unexpected early visit to surprise her and wish her good luck on the Second Task.
The younger Delacour sister got lost when she went there and it was by coincidence or maybe Fate, that Hari and Sunny were on their way to the secret room to train but then found her and they skipped off their training to help the young girl out in finding her family.
Fleur was surprised but was very grateful for Hari and Sunny upon helping and leading her sister to her, but before the girls left after nodding their appreciation of her thanks, Fleur stopped Hari for a short moment and whispered softly in her ear, vaguely telling her that she should go to the private baths with the egg to solve the clue.
Hari was confused but she nodded to Fleur in thanks for telling her this before she left with Sunny and then whispered sharing what the Champion just told her secretly.
Sunny was also confused about the reason why Fleur told Hari that strange advice but she offered to accompany her friend, which Hari quickly refused, saying that she's fine on her own and that there's nothing else to worry about that's going to endanger her life, which Sunny just stared at her friend with skepticism and disbelief, knowing that the love potion and the Yule Ball incidents were considered such worrying incidents to be concerned of for more possible threats or dangers in the future.
But Sunny trusted Hari to take care of herself since somehow her magical powers and abilities seem to have grown stronger since Hari trained herself very hard in the secret magic room, as well as the ordeal she went through from the First Task against the fearsome Horntail Dragon.
So Hari went on her own alone into the private bathroom facilities where only the school Prefects or senior students go there.
Another stroke of good fortune or luck for the elf maiden, Hari was relieved that when sneaking out late at night under the magical invisibility cloak, there is no one around patrolling the corridors, granted there's just the school's caretaker Mr. Filch, and the occasional ghosts-about two or three-wandering about in the silent dimly-lit halls of the magic school.
Hari managed to squeeze into the private baths without making a sound through the door as she shuts and locks it close behind her, then she takes off the cloak, and moves to the sinks while taking out the Golden Egg that was tucked in her school robes upon carrying it along with her.
"I wonder what kind of clue will be revealed from that egg once the King's Lady figures it out and solves it," Tauriel whispered curiously to Legolas as he watched with a dim nod of agreement.
Legolas noticed that his father and the others are almost sitting forward in anticipation as they're also curious what the Golden Egg holds.
When Hari inspected and studied the Golden Egg in her hands, trying to figure out what's special about the private bathrooms that will help her solve the clue on it. She looks around for a moment, hoping to see some sort of special ambiance or something that would let her know upon deducing the egg clue before she tries to open it for the second time.
It still gave the horrifying wailing screech once Hari opened it and she was forced to drop the egg to protect her sensitive elf hearing with her only hands, and the egg rolled and stumbled right into the big bathing pool with a slightly loud splash.
Strangely enough, the wailing screech instantly turned into some kind of dull humming once the golden egg sinks into the pool waters.
Hari was surprised at this and when she reached down to grab the egg, it's when her elf ears heard keenly that there's some kind of weird haunting singing coming from the egg as its lid was still open. That's when she realized something as she somehow finally figured out the clue from the golden egg. She jumped into the pool with her clothes still on, not minding that she's getting herself soaking wet as she took a deep breath, submerged herself underwater, and then she hears the singing clearly that's sounding out from the open egg.
They watched her as she submerged into the water and they can hear the singing too as the voice in the Golden Egg sang its haunting eerie-like riddle, telling Hari what she needs to know about the clue before the elf girl quickly surfaced out of the bathing pool with a soft gasp after listening through the whole song.
It was Gandalf that instantly figured it out and deduced what the singing riddle meant when he heard it upon the magical share-bonding memory they're all witnessing at.
"Hm…so Lady Hari's Second Task means that she has to rescue a hostage from an underwater dwelling. And she has a time limit of about an hour to do so," he said and explained to the others.
"But…elves can't swim underwater longer than a few minutes-just like humans do," Elrond points this out as a matter of fact.
"They're in a magical world, my friend. It's possible that they have spells or potions that will enable them to be underwater longer than that," Galadriel also points out and shares her opinion about it. "I'm sure Lady Hari will know this too and find a way to be able to fulfill her next task of the Istari tournament."
Thranduil relaxed upon hearing this from his friends and he and the others watched that Hari was definitely pleased and relieved that she solved the clue, used magic to dry herself, takes the egg back, and leaves the private baths to get back to the Gryffindor dorms.
It didn't take long for Hari to return and quickly share with her friend Sunny what she had discovered about the clue from the Golden Egg.
Sunny was shocked but also amazed upon learning that the Second Task will be held at a water-kind dwelling, which Hari believes it must be at the great lake, beside the school castle grounds. And Hari knew upon hearing the riddle clue from the egg, the hostage meant that it might be her friend Sunny who will be taken into consideration for the Hogwarts Champion to rescue for the Tournament's next task.
Sunny nodded in agreement with her statement and also believed it to be true because from time to time, she had noticed that Hari's Yule Ball partner, the polite yet gruff gentleman Viktor Krum was sneaking out and taking long swims strangely at the lake whenever Sunny and Hari went out to go to the Forbidden Forests to visit the centaurs at their spare time or gather herbs for their secret special magic potions.
Since it turned out to be the case, both Hari and Sunny prepared for their next training rounds at the magical secret room, in an underwater kind setting so that Hari will be able to find ways on how to be underwater longer than an hour and battle all sorts and kinds of water-dwelling creatures that are lurking and living in the great Black Lake beside Hogwarts, or maybe brought and placed there, just as the wizards had done upon bringing the Dragons for the First Task before.
Hari thought that the Second Task would be easier when Sunny helped to research the kind of magic spells or potions that were used for the magical people to be able to go through underwater but it turns out it was easier said than done-as the saying goes.
For a magic spell, there is the Bubble-head charm that will enable Hari to be underwater with a magical protective barrier, covering her whole head as the spell's namesake is called but it has the bad side-effect of the barrier being easily penetrated and broken if any underwater creatures do battle with her or perhaps the environment underwater on the lake is fierce with its water currents to pop the bubble and drown Hari underwater instantly.
Magic potions to breathe underwater longer is easy but it only lasts about thirty minutes, and Hari can't take that nor can she or Sunny have the time to improve it because it's now nearing time for the Second Task of the Tournament to commence, so the potions way is dashed off.
The only thing left to find is magical plants or herbs-and the best thing to get is known as and called Gillyweed, which Hari found upon reading and poring through books and research. It's easy to find but difficult to harvest as it only grows fresh and in vast quantities during a heavy rainy season, which is in three days' time right before the day of the Second Task and Hari needs the extra time and training to be able to fight her way against any underwater creature so that she'll be fully prepared to fight them.
Fortunately, one of their young friends, that is Neville, who is an avid Herbology loving student, managed to have and store a jar-full of the exact stuff that Hari needed to prepare and train herself with it and he didn't mind giving it all away when Hari asked him on where she could find fresh Gillyweed if there were any available.
Neville told Hari in precaution upon using the Gillyweed wisely since the jar he let her have, will only have its freshness last for a week or two. Hari nodded, heeding the younger boy's words, and then she used it well and saved most of the latter part for the Second Task for last while the remaining were used for her self-training and practice in the magical secret room.
It wasn't long until the very day of the Second Task had arrived, and by then, Hari was prepared as much as she already is, thanks to the slightly intense training she went through from the secret magic room, with Sunny helping her out in conjuring or enchanting the session to make Hari fight against underwater creatures from Kelpies to the Mermaid hostile kinds.
The three Champions gathered round to the magically summoned stage, set up by the school faculty and the tournament officials, and they all tense in preparation and nervous anticipation on the kind of trial they will be going through on the Second Task.
The same Istari announcer from the First Task before was beaming jovially in a manner that disgusted Hari and the other two Champions beside her as he announced grandly to the audience watching by the background, next to the lake where the Second Task will be commenced there.
"Welcome everyone to the Second Task of the Triwizard Tournament!" his voice boomed loudly through the magical megaphone he conjured for all the audience to hear.
"Ugh! Just get on with it already!" Sunny groused in a low mutter under Hari's invisible magical cloak that she lent to her friend so that she'll be there by her friend's side.
Hari would have laughed out loud at Sunny's sarcastic statement that only she can hear but she managed to hold it back by slightly pursing her lips and focusing on paying attention to what the announcer is saying, listening to what the Champions need to do to complete their next task, which is the second trial of the Triwizard tournament.
It was the same just as the Golden Egg clue had implied when the Champions all solved and figured it out, that they're all going underwater to rescue the hostages from the water-dwelling creatures within the lake and they must do it in the lone hour's time limit fast or they'll lose points if they are late or lose upon being caught by the water creatures down there.
However, the hostages will be magically selected by the Champions, with the use of a magic artifact that was instantly brought over to the stage where the Champions, the announcer, and the referee are standing there to commence the next stage of the tournament.
The magical artifact, which appeared to be similar to the cup that selected the Champions before from each of the three magical schools but it is different as it chugs and then spills out the name of the Champion's hostage in smoky letters-and for the Durmstrang Champion, Viktor Krum, it is one of his closest friends whose name was revealed out and then he magically disappeared from the audience and saw upon the magical screen conjured by the announcer to show the audience that he's been transported into the magical cage that was placed underwater which is surrounded by mermaid-kind guards.
Viktor Krum nodded, understanding that the magic cup had sensed and selected the hostages of the Champions this way, and he braced himself like he's ready and motivated to do the Second Task upon rescuing his friend down there within the great lake and prepared for any kind of battle below.
When the Elven King Thranduil and the others watched this, they saw-much to their shock and disgusted disbelief once more-that the magic cup had revealed upon selecting the Beauxbatons Champion's hostage, her young sister who's only a child and they emphasized deeply for the poor Istari woman when she cried out in frantic denial as the young girl disappeared from the audience at the background stands and reappeared into the cage with the other champion's friend. They were relieved to see that the other hostage quickly went to comfort the instantly frightened crying girl upon realizing the shocking situation.
They were also very pleased to see that Hari and Sunny were both outraged and disgusted by this, thinking that it is the wizard's fault for bringing them to this, even to an innocent child.
But when it's now Hari's turn upon the selection of her hostage for the Second Task-something unexpected happened again and much to their stunned shock and horror, instead of seeing Hari's dwarf friend's name that poof out from the enchanted magic cup. It came out and was spelled instead.
LUNA LOVEGOOD
"NO!" Hari cried out in shock and sudden outrage and then they heard a cry and turned and saw the young blonde witch disappear from the audience stands.
It didn't take long for Luna to appear inside the watery cage with the other two hostages down below underwater.
Those watching the Dream-sharing were all enraged once more and again as another innocent child was taken as a hostage.
"Shameless…all of these Istari are shameless!" Galadriel cursed through gritted teeth and she looked like her whole being is radiating with dark fury.
"I cannot believe these beings-they would not hesitate to just stand by and let their own young ones become hostages to motivate others into rescuing them upon going through such dangerous tasks!" Tauriel exclaimed, also feeling the same fury like Lady Galadriel upon watching this beside Legolas. But she didn't know that the Mirkwood Prince was more furious than the two women, his handsome face nearly darkening in fury like there's something deeper going on between Legolas and the young Luna.
"Hey, hey-HEY! Calm down, girlfriend!" Sunny hissed under the magic cloak, trying to soothe her friend Hari when she was trembling with a growing fury that's raging through within her entire frame and her magic aura almost started radiating out visibly. "Listen-Luna is fine! Look! See?! She's alright and she has some company with her-don't lose your cool now, even though the task hasn't started yet!"
Sunny even patted her invisibly on the back and it didn't take long for the next few seconds for Hari to calm down and restrain herself from lashing out by breathing deeply. Hari released one last deep breath before she discreetly nodded down at her invisible friend, thanking her for being there with her.
Then Hari braced herself, steadying her body to stand straight like she's getting herself internally ready for the starting signal to come, with the other two Champions tensely standing beside her.
Once the announcer finished and there was the horn which blew soundly loud as the signal, the three Champions swiftly jumped, diving into the lake and using their methods to go swim underwater down there.
Viktor Krum transformed himself magically into a half-man half-shark and Fleur conjured a double-enforced enchanted Bubblehead Charm and both of them swam away first through the murky misty dark watery depths, leaving Hari behind as she just swallowed the Gillyweed she saved and brought with her, consumed it just as she dived, and waited for the magical transformation to occur upon her.
Hari waited patiently without worry, already made her clothes disappear magically when she dived, leaving a skin-tight swimsuit she's wearing now as she floated underwater, and then it didn't take long for the magical herb that she consumed and had eaten to transform her into a mermaid underwater.
They watched this in awe and wonder as Hari transformed from a disguised land-walking elf to a beautiful watery mermaid magical creature there in the magical memory Dream-sharing right before their eyes. Despite that they had already seen this a few times when Hari went through her training and battle practicing from the magical secret room back then, they can't help but stare with amazement at how a simple magical herb can transform a being into another kind of creature.
Thranduil didn't care whether his soulmate would turn into another form or creature before his eyes, for Hari is still the most beautiful being he was lucky to be paired with as he stared and watched avidly when she gracefully twirled around in the water to make sure that she's fully transformed into her watery being-form completely and then swam away through the water to catch up with the others.
It took about a few minutes for Hari to catch up with the two champions, Fleur Delacour and Viktor Krum, and she saw that they somehow already gotten caught into trouble with Fleur trying to fight off a horde of demon-like water creatures, trying to drag her to the darker depths below and Viktor was trying to fight off a snake-like sea serpent underwater when they were almost near to their destination of the underwater cage with the hostages waiting inside.
Hari knew she would have taken advantage of the other champions' distraction, get to the cage first and win after she rescues her hostage and swim themselves out of there quickly. But she's not that cruel or vindictive to do that, because the fact remains that she was chosen unwillingly into the tournament, and she swam fast to help the other two from their problems.
The Bubblehead charm was broken when one of the water creatures attacking Fleur, popped it. However, she didn't drown when Hari magically summoned the charm back for her before she took a mouthful of water and Fleur gasped upon the re-enchanted bubble and then gasped out in thanks to the mermaid Hari as she swiftly spins and strongly whacks her tail to powerfully hit the creatures away from the blow.
Once Fleur managed to regain her bearings and fight back, Hari swam towards Viktor Krum when she saw that the serpent was about to attack him from his blind side, which is the back.
Before the sea serpent was about to take a bite at shark-Krum from behind, Hari swooped to the rescue and sharply slammed her fishtail at the creature with a big whacking slap that rendered it stunned and blown away from her striking blow.
The shark-headed Viktor turned in surprise by Hari's intervention and then it took a split-second for him to realize and instantly react with some shark instincts he transformed upon himself and went to use the sharp teeth to tear apart the sea serpent before it regains its bearings from being whacked by mermaid Hari.
After Hari was satisfied upon assisting and helping the other champions, she swam fast to the cage, opens the magical door to get Luna, and once Luna is magically enchanted to breathe underwater and secured upon the young girl wrapping her arms around Hari's neck tightly on her back, Hari swam and was vaguely aware of Fleur and Viktor doing the same with their two hostages, following after her to get to the surface before their hour time limit expires.
The audience and the crowd were anticipating and nervous as they waited for the Champions to return with their hostages, including the still invisible Sunny, that's still standing by, fidgeting impatiently and looking like she wanted to go near the edge of the stand to see into the dark murky waters of the big lake below.
When there was some movement which one of the tournament officials on the stand suddenly points out upon noticing it, then there was a big emerging splash almost like a geyser as Hari leaps out into the air before landing slightly ungraceful onto the surface stand with Luna still holding on to her.
Hari gets up on her elbows and felt Luna releasing her hold around her neck but before she moves away until the officials come running to assist her and the other emerging Champions when they came, Luna said something which almost made her smile at her comment.
"By the way, Hari, you look very pretty as a mermaid," Luna whispered as she smiled sagely at Hari like she wasn't frightened at all from the experience of being chosen as Hari's hostage for the Second Task. "Even though you have your other heritage, that form also suits you well."
"Well, Luna, I'm perfectly happy with my other self, thank you very much," Hari replied back in a low whisper and grunted a little when she waited for her watery transformation to turn back to normal.
It didn't take long for her fishtail to finally split itself back into two legs and feet, and the fish scales, gills, and fins on her body magically disappear, returning Hari back to her normal human-guise self.
"Truly fascinating!" Gandalf was all in awe and wonder as he saw this and was thinking thoughtfully with one of his hands stroking his beard as a usual little habit of his. "I wonder if that kind of magical herb exists here in Middle Earth?"
"You had me worried back there. I thought that I was going to go down there myself and help you out, you know?" Sunny whispered, revealing her presence to Hari once Luna is gently led away by the medical officials to be checked out and looked over.
"And just how were you going to go unnoticed, besides the fact that you're only borrowing my cloak, Sunny?" Hari whispered with a slight grin on her face, her eyes glancing alertly to make sure that no one noticed her talking to some invisible person and get caught.
Sunny just shrugged even though Hari doesn't see it when she calmly stands up on her feet and magically dries herself from the soaking wetness so that she won't catch a cold.
Thranduil and the others are relieved that Hari made it out alright and succeeded well on the Second Task. Then they listened as the officials announced what the Third and last Final Task of the Triwizard Tournament would be.
And from what they can discern after hearing the last Third task, it concerns the Champions battling it out and finding their way through a magical maze, that will be built and commencing on the vast school grounds of Hogwarts, which will take about a month-long for the three champions to prepare and train themselves until the time came.
It sounds like Hari might be fighting more magical creatures or something much more dangerous of the sorts. The others were looking at Thranduil anxiously while the Elven king was tense in his seat again, hating that he'll be watching through another trial that would endanger his pair, despite that she has been intensely training herself to be prepared to face it.
Once Hari and her invisible friend Sunny have heard enough about the Third Task when the officials told the three school champions about the last trial of the tournament, they immediately left with Luna in tow, after she was checked out by the magical doctors and eluded any reporters that were coming to interview them once more but Hari and her friends managed to escape, except for Viktor Krum and Fleur Delacour who were the only ones caught by them.
As they reached safety back to the secure facilities of the magical school, Hari led them to a discreet corner for Sunny to reveal herself while she double-checked on Luna to make sure if she's truly fine and healthy. Luna didn't mind at all upon being checked over again by Hari as she looked up to her like an older sister or second mother, which Hari didn't mind as she accepted Luna like she's her own for there's some kind of special bond between them that seems familial or something. After Hari was done checking on Luna, she nearly chuckled when Sunny turned to fuss on her, checking to see if she obtained any injuries on her or not.
Then they started making plans in intensifying Hari's training for her to be prepared for the last trial of the tournament and finally be done with it so that she can be free and graduate from the magic school without anything else holding them back.
However, they didn't know, as they walked to the dormitories, escorting Luna back to her own, and the two girls returned to theirs…they were being stalked and watched by someone, who they did not expect to be joining in and will be helping Hari for the Third Task.
And that someone, this person is revealed to be Professor Moody, who has been watching Hari for a while-since the night of the Yule Ball, as he was there to witness the altercation and memory-erasing spells done by Hari and Sunny at that time-his magical eye zeroing on her since the time he looked like he knew that there was something hidden and secretive kept about the young girls Hari Evergreen and Sunny Crafters.
Elrond and Galadriel exchanged worried looks before turning questioningly at their Istari friend, Gandalf like they're wondering whether this Istari is a friend or an enemy. Thranduil just looked blank upon noticing this for he felt like this Moody person must be trustworthy because the male Istari has not told his fellow professors, including Dumbledore, about what he's been doing when he was watching Hari sneakily like that but not in a bad way.
It didn't take long for Hari and Sunny to be taken by surprise when Moody reveals himself to them. And that was during one of the days of the first week of new intense training for Hari to be prepared for the last task of the wizard tournament.
It was outside by the Forbidden Forests, that Hari chose to do more training over there, just so she could be more prepared by any kind of creatures that will come at her in the grand maze for the Third Task, and Sunny is going with her to assist in her training and help her out into learning about the known or unknown creatures or monsters that will be placed into the Third Task's maze upon confronting the chosen champions as they race to get to the end of it and win the prize, thus ending the tournament and also ending Hari's harrowing ordeals from them.
Just as they were setting up and preparing their training course in the deep part of the dark thick forest woods they're on, with Sunny conjuring out the magic attacking golems and Hari prepares her most favored weapons, that are the bow and arrows, they jumped in surprise and roundabout instantly with their weapons out when a male's voice sounded out to them in a gruff tone.
"Bah! You call that training? Even Prof. McGonagall can conjure better golems than that!"
The voice revealed to be Prof. Moody himself as he calmly faced the weapons pointed at him, in which both women are shocked that the wizard professor is right there with them, and the fact that they were not aware that they have been followed.
"P-Prof. Moody?!" Hari exclaimed as she tried to hide her bow and arrows away, despite that it was too late that he had already seen them when she and Sunny pointed their weapons at him. "Um-what brings you here?"
He just huffed, his magical eye swiveling right and straight at Sunny when she's still brandishing and lifting up her ax. "Relax, I'm not here to turn you both in nor am I here going to stop you. I'm going to help you, considering that you two really needed it."
Both Hari and Sunny exchanged uncertain looks like they're doubting the professor's statement in wanting to help them with their training. Prof. Moody frowned like he knew what these two girls are thinking and then he showed off his magical power and abilities by conjuring better fighting golems for them to use.
Hari was amazed at how easily the Istari conjured them while Sunny looked at the newly modified magic golems with unease still.
"Well, go on then-try them out! Don't just stand there gawking like idiots!" Moody tries to encourage the two girls to fight the battle-type golems.
Sunny decided to take the chance so that Hari won't try it because the dwarf will react faster into fighting back if this turns out to be a trap, trick, or something. The disguised dwarf girl gave out a loud battle cry and ran right at the golems, to which they instantly reacted in response to her incoming attack and fought back, magically conjuring shields and weapons out of nowhere suddenly and blocking Sunny's attacks.
Hari watched with amazement at how very effective and much better these enchanted fighting golems are but also worried for her friend like Sunny might overwork herself into a frenzy and then tire herself out when she sparred with these golems. Then she turned to Prof. Moody when he cleared his throat soundly to get her attention at him.
Hari looked at Prof. Moody curiously and he almost smirked at her like he knew and expected Sunny to try out the golems, leaving the two of them alone as he said something that shocked her of his sudden request.
"I want you to shoot me with the arrows from that fancy magic bow of yours, girl," he gruffly said simply. "And make it a very fast quick one, alright?"
"Ohh, dear…I suddenly have a bad feeling about this," Galadriel said softly in an ominous voice.
Gandalf waved his hand to shake off their doubts as he seemed to believe that this particular Istari means no harm towards Hari and her friend, just as he said, "I'm sure it is nothing and that he truly has no ill intentions towards them."
Somehow, King Thranduil highly doubts it as he tensed and watched this play out before them.
"Er…I'm sorry?" Hari asked, blinking in surprise and confusion at what Prof. Moody told her to do.
Prof. Moody just cocked a brow and looked at her like he's not joking and showing that he's really serious with what he just said.
"Well, go on then! Consider this-training for your last task, missy!"
Awkward silence for a short moment.
And then Hari just shrugged as she decided to do what Moody asked, readied her arrow into the bow, and then shoots with perfect aim, not missing on purpose since he told her what she must do and trusted that this Istari professor would be fine.
But when the arrow flew right at Moody in her fastest quick draw, he instantly dodged at it and sneered at her. "Bah! You call that a quick shot?!"
Hari tensed, not expecting his remark but she instantly drew another arrow and shoot it from her bow, except Professor Moody still dodged it again, giving her another disparaging snappish remark, that seemed to get Hari to tense or jump from his words.
In instant and very rapid succession, she tried to shoot arrow after arrow at the Istari professor as swift and fast as she can, but the wizard teacher kept dodging them as well as deflecting them with magic, his wand swiftly out into his hand and Moody's wand-hand was twisting around and flicking about to turn or deflect the rapid-flying arrows being shot straight at him.
"Oh come on! You can do better than that!" Moody barked at her as he walked in a fast prowl-like stride closer towards Hari, as she slightly backed away a few steps, looking like she's a bit frightened now with the way he's coming at her like that.
" This is what the Istari meant by training?!" Tauriel exclaimed incredulously as she watched this wide-eyed. "I think he's trying to scare her!"
Thranduil looked like that he's about to put Moody into his especially important 'hit' list if this Istari dares to harm his pair.
Before Hari was about to draw and pull another arrow, Moody was suddenly right in front of her, almost face to face as he grabbed with his bare hand at the sharp tip end of the arrow, and suddenly used magic to snap it in half.
"Still…too slow!"
After those short words in an eerie soft way, Moody took Hari suddenly by surprise, by magically sweeping off her feet with some kind of attack spell and she didn't have time to react to fight back when he points his wand right at her face when she fell down on the ground at her back.
Hari managed to stop herself from giving out a pained groan when she saw how Moody is looking down at her with disappointment.
Moody huffed and then snapped at her, "If I were a corrupted Light wizard-or a real Dark wizard right now-you would have been dead faster than you could blink-even faster than the silly way you've been pulling and shooting your arrows at me!"
"Er…much as I hate pointing this out-but this warrior kind of Istari does have a point with his statement," Gandalf said and he nearly flinched when Thranduil rounded to glare straight at him with ice-cold blazing eyes, instantly rendering him silent from his furious gaze.
"Hey! Leave her alone, you-!"
Sunny snapped furiously, just as she finished beating the golems, even with only a few bruises and hits on her person, turned around and saw, much to her outrage, that her friend was beaten down by the Istari professor who dared to attack her while she was distracted or not looking. The dwarf girl is now angrily striding over to them, readying her ax to strike or throw it at the wizard but Hari quickly stopped her.
"No, Sunny! Stop! Prof. Moody's right-he was trying to help me train against any possible wizard enemies, who might also join the last Task into beating against the Champions or something!" Hari protested, defending him.
Sunny spluttered indignantly. "By striking and putting you down!?"
Seeing that her words didn't work on her friend, Hari just gave a blank but pointed look of her eyes straight into Sunny's…and it felt like a long time upon the staredown between the two girls when in reality, it was only a few seconds for the dwarf girl to relent in defeat and trust Hari's judgment, though she still has her own suspicions and doubts against this wizard.
Sunny even glared threateningly at Prof. Moody to try not to attack her best friend Hari while her back is turned away or something and Prof. Moody just smirked at her like he doesn't care that an adult male like him just attacked her friend, which made her bristle angrily, making the short girl look like an agitated hissing angry cat in his amused eyes.
Then the Istari warrior-like professor became serious and barked almost like a drill sergeant which somehow jolted both Hari and Sunny to attention and follow his instructions or snappish commands.
Though the training with Prof. Moody was a bit harsh, in Hari's opinion yet not so much for Sunny when she saw how slightly brutal the fearsome Istari has been doing and going almost hard on her friend-it paid off before the last and Third Task came on the exact day at that time.
"Well…you have to admit-this particular wizard was very good in preparing Lady Hari for what she's about to face on the final Third Task of the tournament," Gandalf murmured softly so that he won't earn the Elven King's ire at him again, and it seemed like the atmosphere around him and his friends became awkward with silent tension as they watched throughout the entire training scene when Moody came in and introduced them to a new kind of regime that will get Hari ready for the last task of the Triwizard Tournament.
Elrond rounded to his Istari friend as he's the only one who can hear him clearly upon sitting right next to him and sputtered incredulously. "And how could that be?! The kind of training that Istari put her through-was insanely harsh!"
Lady Galadriel nodded in agreement as she can hear their silent talk too while she gave a few glances at Thranduil when he watched with blazing glaring eyes, furious facial expression, and tight-clenching fists, upon the sight of his soulmate pair going through those harrowing and also slight heart-stopping ordeals in going through Moody's slightly brutal training.
In fact, the most terrifying kind of Moody's particular training regime was the "Catch-and-Fire" part.
Prince Legolas, Lord Elrond, Lady Galadriel, Gandalf-and even Tauriel herself wouldn't admit it out loud…but it seems that they're all thinking that Thranduil found himself an ally, who's siding with him, that is the dwarf girl Sunny when she also protested against the kind of training Moody is forcing Hari to do this sort of thing, which turns out that she just needs to swiftly catch arrows shot at her, without looking and even being blindfolded not just by sight-but all her senses.
In Moody's own words and explanation for the "Catch-and-Fire" training part, he just said that it takes a wide-open mind and constant vigilance for Hari to succeed in this part of the training and Hari thinks that he meant by trusting her gut or instinct to be able to make it through this.
Hari tried to reassure her friend that she would be fine but Sunny tried to convince, even physically stop her to not go through with this training, that it only took a subtle flick from Moody's wand when he got impatient, magically silenced her, and invisibly tied her up and put the furious struggling dwarf to one side out of sight so that Hari wouldn't see what the Istari professor did to her friend as soon as her back was turned and walked right into the center of the training circle when Moody gently directed her to it.
Once Hari stayed there in place and did not move an inch, even with some little hesitation and nervousness on her very being, on that very spot in the middle of the circle, Moody told her to get ready as he'll magically blind all her senses, from sight, hearing, and everything else that is physically needed, only leaving her inner instinct, her mental gut…and her innate inborn magic, which Moody told her that it will help her with this kind of training.
And it looks like Hari's magic had grown much more powerful than before.
When she followed Moody's instructions on spreading her magic sensors wide open to sense all of her surroundings, there was a beautiful cascade of flickering lights, floating away from her body almost like strings or tentacles, reaching out to touch or grab anything sensory that will make Hari aware of her entire surroundings.
Once they did, Hari quickly reacted to catching the arrows shot by the enchanted golems Moody made them shoot at her, then returned fire upon striking each and every one of the golem perfectly, except with the last one, when it missed and narrowly almost hit Moody by inches as it flew right past him by the left side of his head and struck dead center on a tree behind him.
Thranduil smirked at the sight when the arrow nearly hit the Istari and missed him as it hits the tree, and he liked the reaction from the wizard when he tried to hold back the sudden paling on his facial expression to not show Hari that he was instantly afraid by her seemingly perfect shots.
Moody would have been offended or retaliated back at Hari for nearly hitting him but then he remembered that this is training and he had to admit grudgingly that Hari was very good at using her innate magic so easily to succeed almost halfway through this part of the training.
Once Hari got better as well as succeeding and besting through other parts of Moody's new kind of training regime, Hari believes that she's now ready to face whatever she will take on in the Third Task on the great magical maze that the wizards have constructed for their chosen Champions of the Triwizard Tournament.
Despite that Sunny was still upset at Moody, she had to grudgingly admit as well that Hari became better and felt a bit glad that Hari isn't nervous about taking on the last task that will finally end for her friend, even though she knew better than that there would be many dangers placed into the great magical maze.
Now…the day has come. As the Third Task will commence for the Champions and the winner will be finally chosen for the Triwizard Tournament.
But Hari and Sunny still don't care, rather the only thing they do is just graduate their final and last year in this magic school and leave before more dangers to bring them harm or something far worse.
However, both of them knew better than that to not jinx it.
"And here it comes…" Prince Legolas said softly as he and all the others were nearly leaning forward in anticipation and tenseness as they watch the scene play out before them as Hari and the other two Chosen Champions gather in front of the entrance of the big wide magical maze that they'll be going through.
Two of the tournament staff told the Champions what kind of challenges they will face once they get inside the maze and instructed them on what's their prize at the very end of it, which is the Triwizard Golden Cup, that was enchanted to send them straight back to the audience and show who the winner is. After they laid out the ground rules, the three Champions went off in separate directions as the horn was sounded and the audience watched tensely by the sidelines, waiting anxiously for the three to return while the magical judges hovered above to watch the event play out and referee the Third Task.
So far, about a few hours or so, all Hari had encountered and fought off in the maze was just two gigantic Acromantula spiders, one Minotaur, and a Sphinx which she easily solved the riddle it gave her. She wondered where it was going to end in her part there, and what happened with the other champions, Viktor Krum and Fleur Delacour.
Though they were just mere acquaintances because these two only gave her helpful hints and Viktor was kind enough to be Hari's escort before, Hari worries for them like she considers them her friends too.
That's when Hari found something when she turned another corner and went straight down another maze path to get to the end or another turn. And it's not something she would have ever expected.
It was the Golden Cup.
The very item that will designate the winner of this Triwizard Tournament-and end it all for Hari finally.
Somehow Hari managed to find her way right to the center and ended up right into the finish line where the grand prize is right there waiting for her.
Hari froze in her tracks and stood uncertain whether she should wait for the other champions to take it for she does not want any more attention at her as the winner of the tournament.
But then she decided to get over it as Hari knew that she's going to disappear along with her friend once this tournament is finished and done with, even ending the magical school year by then, without looking back.
Wait…something's wrong-this seemed too easy .
Thranduil thought in his head and suddenly had a bad feeling that something's about to happen.
However…she didn't know that the golden cup was not supposed to be there, almost so easily for Hari to get to the end and take it, thinking that she's forced to be the winner since she found it first.
As it turns out-it was a trap intended for her.
One second, she just touched lightly with her fingers at the handle of the golden cup-and the next second, a powerful magic force entrapped her and yanked her someplace where she's not supposed to be.
And that is a dark evil aura-filled surrounding graveyard.
Before Hari could react into magically pulling whatever hidden cards she has up her sleeves-or rather, carefully hidden on her person-she was struck first by an unknown attacker who bound her by strong magical ropes that appeared out of nowhere and tied her up like she's some sort of sacrifice against one of the graveyard statues.
Hari struggled furiously to break herself free but she froze even more with horror when she realized that an unfamiliar unknown Dark wizard came out of the shadows, revealing himself to be the attacker and perhaps the one who tricked her and brought her there, and he seemed to be carrying a strange baby-like bundle that started hissing eerily in a dark scary way, which Hari thought she heard it before and felt so familiar for her-but not in a very good way.
"NO!"
Thranduil nearly stood up on his seat as he couldn't believe that his pair got caught and is now trapped in another dangerous dark situation again, and he truly wished he was there to save her as he watched helplessly when Hari was bound magically tight against the statue.
His son Legolas and all the others watching this are also worried and anxious, fearful of what kind of dangerous threats Hari is facing, and they all prayed that she'll make it out alive.
"Finally…I have waited for so long…for the time to come that my enemy…would be within my grasp…" the voice rasp, almost eerily similar like a snake as it hissed and it looks like even the Dark Wizard carrying the bundle was also frightened of what revealed to be his 'master' but was very careful not to drop it so that he won't anger the dark creature he's carrying on his arms.
"Wormtail…prepare the ritual…you know what to do…" the being in the black blanket bundle hissed in command.
The Dark Wizard who was called Wormtail, shivered and stuttered in response to his Dark master that he will, and it was horrifying for Hari to watch, which she tried turning away from the sight of the Dark ritual but couldn't because she needed to find a way to break herself free as well as distract the dark magical enemies from turning their attention at her in case they think that she'll try to escape.
All the while when Hari watches them with slight fear on her face and the being in the baby bundle hissed darkly like he's savoring the terror he thinks she's feeling and the other Dark wizard Wormtail shakily prepared some boiling pot that he used magic to bring it out and prepared the needed ingredients to do whatever dark ritual his master ordered him to do.
"M-Master…it is ready!" Wormtail stuttered meekly to the bundle, bowing to it as if the dark creature inside is some kind of dark malevolent divine being.
"Well, what are you waiting for, you idiotic fool? Finish it!" the being hissed while wriggling a little, part of the blanket moving away to reveal the shadowy-like inhuman dark creature in the black bundle, almost making Hari recoil at the horrible sight when she saw it.
"Y-Yes! Oh, great L-Lord Voldemort!" Wormtail blubbered, shuddering very fearfully at his Dark Master and hurriedly preparing the needed ingredients, the revealed Dark Lord Voldemort and Wormtail were distracted on not noticing Hari's eyes widening more in horrified realization once the identity of the small creature is revealed.
"Voldemort-as in the Dark Istari who tried to kill Lady Hari the previous two times!?" Lord Elrond exclaimed with horrified shock.
"Oh no…" Legolas glanced towards his father worriedly, as he saw how very anxious and furious he's expressing for his trapped soulmate pair.
"But…just why is he so obsessed in killing her? And-why would that foul being need her alive at that moment?" Lady Galadriel demanded incredulously, both Elven rulers including King Thranduil who only glanced at Gandalf as if he holds the answers but he just stared gravely at the scene playing out before them.
"Ohh, dear…I believe there is only one reason why Lady Hari was brought there alive, instead of that dark Istari giving the kill order instantly," Gandalf said ominously foreboding that did not make Thranduil feel any better upon hearing this.
It was a good thing that those two unholy dark magical wizards are still distracted as Hari furiously struggled to break herself free with her inner magic, not caring that she's nearly draining herself of energy as she's very frantic and determined to escape before they turned their attention on her and do something worse.
"Bone of the father…you will reborn your son," Wormtail said softly as he conjured and taken away a piece of bone from another grave, floated it, and then dropped it into the cooking cauldron, not noticing still that Hari is successfully breaking free when she mentally conjured magic to break herself free from her very tight bonds. Then the frightened yet loyal dark wizard readied a knife and positioned it over his hovering left hand over the simmering magic pot which the floating bone was dropped into. He stuttered in fear but looked determined. "F-Flesh of the servant…you will rebirth your master-AARGH!"
Hari nearly glanced to the side, turning away from the bloody gory sight that the dark wizard follower of Voldemort just cut his own hand off and she's almost breaking free when her magic worked into letting her loose from her tight bonds.
"Ohh no-no-no-no-NO! That man's coming at Lady Hari with that knife!" Tauriel gasped with a hand over her lips with her eyes widening in horrified realization, as she and all the other elves, including the grim Istari Gandalf, saw and now realized that Hari's Elven blood is another key ingredient for the dark ritual.
In which they also realized that this ritual turned out to be something that will resurrect the Dark Istari Voldemort.
Thranduil's face looked like it's now darkening with thundering blazing eyes of fury like he's promising agonizing death if that Dark Istari follower dares to harm his pair. But then his angry expression changed to relief when he saw that one of Hari's hands broke loose and the dark wizard Wormtail didn't notice it as he was almost weak with pain and agony from cutting off his hand.
"Blood…of the enemy-you will resurrect your foe-AH!"
Wormtail didn't realize that Hari had gotten free with one free hand and another foot freed loose and she suddenly struck with a fierce kick at the man, blowing him right on his back and the dagger-like knife flew right at her but she expertly caught it with her free hand and used it to manually free herself from the other bonds as the blade weapon was powerful enough to cut through the enchanted ties.
By the time, the dark wizard follower regained his bearings-it was already too late.
"YOU IDIOT! STOP HER!" Voldemort screeched with anger, wriggling furiously like he's trying to break free from the blanket bundle he's currently wrapped in but Hari struck first.
"STUPEFY!"
Hari swiftly stunned the dark wizard called Wormtail before he could get back up with the wand that was hidden on her person and ran instantly for her life, not turning around or looking back to see if anyone else will pursue her because she thought that those two were the only ones, but she shivered when she heard the unholy enraged inhuman yell from Voldemort, followed by sudden whooshing sounds that Hari was forced to turn her head and look back.
Then she saw, much to her horror and disbelief, Voldemort has more dark wizard followers and they came to their master's call at that time before those shadow-like wraith-looking hooded dark wizards were ordered instantly by Voldemort to go after Hari and bring her back alive-because he still needed her blood to restore his physical body into the living world.
"Don't stop! Keep running, love !" Thranduil muttered softly, watching and standing by helplessly, truly wishing he was there with her to help save her from the dark Istari chasing after her, while he and the others watch on anxiously too.
Hari ran as fast as she can, not knowing that Voldemort has another kind of dark creature allied with him, which she nearly jumped upon hearing a loud growl from a monstrous kind of wolf and a hiss from a very large abnormal snake, as she is pursued by the dark wizard followers of Voldemort's cult-like circle and the two dark creatures chasing after her.
"Oh no…it's bad enough that the dark Istari has his own followers-he has a monstrous snake and wolf in his dastardly cult!?" Lord Elrond exclaimed incredulously as he saw the dark followers furiously chase Hari through the deep dark woods.
Even though Hari instantly took out and put on her magic invisibility cloak so that they won't be able to see her upon trying to catch up to her, she didn't stop running and maneuvering through the thick dark forests she found herself in, and couldn't find a familiar path but was determined all the same escape and get away from her enemy pursuers until she finds her way out to safety.
She basked herself into the intense training that Prof. Moody honed into her and dodged and ducked at any shooting spells cast right in her direction when the dark wizard followers seemed to somehow know she's there and follow her, even invisible.
However, Hari should have known better than that to look ahead and know where she's going, even in an unfamiliar place because she ended up trapped right against the edge of a raging waterfall cliff and she nearly skidded to a stop, almost tripping on her feet and falling to her death on the very dark misty abyss below but managed to halt herself just in time.
But then Hari is forced to reveal herself when she turned around and saw the dark followers gaining on her, including the monstrous abnormal large snake, as well as the sniffing snarling werewolf, scenting her out.
Once she took off the magic cloak and flung it behind like it's a cape, she instantly drew and shoot rapidly with arrows in perfect aiming shots but missed hitting the fatal spots to kill some of the dark wizard followers when a few of them reacted in time to dodge as they attacked back at her by shooting spells and curses at her, which Hari instantly deflected them by using her magic to create a shield to protect her as she shoots arrow after arrow at the dark wizards, not stopping until every one of Voldemort's loyal followers are dead.
She barely managed to stop the giant-like werewolf when it tried to strike at her blindside on the right by enchanting an arrow to hit him and blast him away with a strong explosion but didn't see the snake striking at her other blindside until it was too late.
"NO!"
Thranduil yelled angrily, this time nearly pushing his throne-like chair with a strong force as he saw the monstrous snake bit right into the lower left leg of Hari, making her cry out in startled pain.
But she reacted swiftly into drawing out the Gryffindor modified sword that she brought with her, and the snake instantly let go when she tried to swing and cut it in half, except the dark serpent creature dodged it.
"Oh no…!" Legolas breathed when he saw his father's soulmate starting to sway like she's drunk, realizing that the snake was also venomous, just as Tauriel beside him gasp in dismay.
"Oh dear…she won't be able to flee now!" Lady Galadriel said softly, her voice low enough to try to not let Thranduil turn his temper right on her for pointing it out loud upon seeing this.
Hari hated to do this-but she knew that there's no other way.
Seeing that she's still outnumbered and now outmatched when the snake bit her with its poisonous venom to weaken her-she turns around and just jumped off the cliff before any of the dark wizards could comprehend into reacting swiftly to stop her.
However, she didn't jump off just to kill herself so that the dark wizards won't bring her back so that the Dark Istari Voldemort will take her blood by force to regain his body-no, she jumped because while she was busy shooting off and trying to drive away the dark wizards trying to capture her, she thought she saw a familiar glimpse of fiery red in the dark cloudy night skies-until she heard the familiar singing cry that she never forgot since the very day she rescued it and it repaid the favor to coming to help and heal her with its special tears.
"Oh, is that what I think it is!?" Lord Elrond demanded, almost sounding very excited as he saw the firebird swooping down to grab Hari by one of her hands with its sharp but gentle talons.
Thranduil slumped with relief, sitting back down on his throne as he's very glad that the Phoenix came to rescue his soulmate pair and knew that its special healing magic will save Hari from the snake's venom.
Hari smiled weakly up at the phoenix when it tilt its head down at her, chirping and squawking like it's scolding at her sternly for endangering her life like that, even though it's not her fault or on purpose that she got caught up in it. She turned her head back to see if the dark wizards and monstrous creatures are still following her but she saw that they're still standing gobsmacked upon the edge of the cliff and reluctantly returned to their master to report that she's gone and had escaped.
Hari didn't have time to wonder whether some of them will be punished by Voldemort upon depriving him his chance to regain his body back when the fiery bird seemed to fly down lower and found that the phoenix is gently swooping in for a landing so that the magical bird will quickly heal her with its special tears before the snake venom kills her.
Hari readied herself for the landing and once her feet reached the ground upon touchdown, the phoenix lets go and she nearly falls down forward on her face but reacted in time to not face-plant upon the rocky surface when she had her hands out to flatten against the earth and got her in the position on her hands and knees. Then she slowly turns to lie down on the ground by her right side, groaning in pain a little when the snake bite on her leg throbbed a bit sharply.
Hari gave out deep gasping breaths and panted tiredly like she went through a harrowing ordeal and is already spent with exhaustion, as she saw the phoenix fluttering its wings to land right beside her and started singing in a mourning yet hopeful tunes, crying the magical tears that will heal her wound swiftly.
Thranduil sighed and slumped even more with relief on seeing the phoenix heal his pair but then something happened that he never thought to see, nor did his friends and son, as it never happened before in the Dream-sharing between him and his pair.
While the phoenix kept singing and crying the tears to heal her but seemingly in slow motion, Hari's spirit somehow separated from her physical body in an ethereal glowing silver mist, almost like she's having some sort of out-of-body experience.
The others gasped just as Prince Legolas exclaimed in Elvish, " What, in the name of Eru -?!"
Hari gasped like she felt her soul being jolted with some sort of shock and she nearly gaped, staring wide-eyed upon turning around and seeing that her own spirit somehow separated from her body in a sudden strange way and it's like the surroundings around her are going in slow-motion time or something.
"What-?! Oh no…ohh, please Eru, don't let me be dead!" she cried out softly, her voice softening like some windy whisper as if Fawkes saved her too late, she has died and then turned into a ghost.
That's when a flickering ball of light suddenly appeared by her side like it's her guide in the spiritual realm Hari found herself in and she jumped and nearly backed away from it like she thinks it's trying to coax and make her follow to the Afterlife when clearly Hari realized that she's still alive when Fawkes healed her injury and saw that the chest on her body is moving with normal breaths, showing that she lives.
The magic floating light ball tried to encourage or coax her to follow but Hari shook her head and stayed by her living body's side so that her spirit will be somehow jolted back into it and return back to life-however, she made a mistake in somehow annoying it that the ball of light grew brighter, almost blinding her to the point that she threw up her hands to protect her cringing closed eyes until the bright light faded away to the dimness.
When Hari slowly blinked her eyes open, they instantly widened in horror upon finding herself in another unfamiliar place, her surroundings still blurry and almost misty fog like she's still in the spirit realm.
"Oh no! Take me back-please! I'm not dead, I'm still alive! I can't-!" Hari resorted to begging at the wispy floating light ball.
The magic misty ball glows a bit brighter as if it's reassuring her that it's okay and that it will return her back to her body soon.
But it looks like it's trying to convince her to follow for there is something she must-see.
Hari didn't know why but she felt those kinds of encouraging positive feelings from the light ball of wisp so she decided to trust it a little and followed it.
It seems that it looks like the ball of light led her back to the graveyard where Voldemort was but Hari was glad that the inhuman dark creature could not see or even notice her in spirit form.
However, she recoiled back in disgust and almost shuddering with fear when she saw how very dark and very black wraith-like his aura was, showing a mismatch of tears on its being and empty spaces like his spirit is incomplete.
Strangely enough…there were exactly seven open gaps on the dark soul of the Dark wizard Voldemort, except one of them seemed to be splintering into a crack as something happened and it broke the dark soul to fade into nothing but it's still messy and chaotic, similar like an abandoned broken spider-web or something like that.
Gandalf and Elrond narrowed their eyes like they thought they saw or felt something similar about this dark tainted soul of the Dark Istari and Galadriel shivered, almost looking like some dark being just walked over her grave or something like that in her opinion.
Thranduil suddenly had a bad foreboding feeling that Hari's adventures are not over after seeing this dark soul of the Dark Istari Voldemort.
That's when Hari notices something else that seems to be important too.
She saw that the venomous snake that bit her before, had some kind of small puzzle-like piece of the dark soul that is seemingly the same black aura as Voldemort's.
It took a split-second for Hari to realize as her eyes went back and forth from the broken malevolent dark soul of Voldemort to the soul-tainted serpent and then she turned to look at the floating light ball as it beams brightly like it's glad that the elf maiden finally understands upon discovering Voldemort's true weakness.
Then Hari watched as the floating mystical light ball bobbed up and down, gesturing to follow her again, which she did. And it led her straight back to the same spot where she suddenly appeared and got caught by the dark wizards and saw that it circled around vigorously, pointing downwards meaningfully at the golden cup, which was the very object that brought her there into a trap.
"Oh, of course!" Tauriel suddenly cried aloud, nearly winced upon realizing that she's interrupting but she had to point it out loud on what this scene is showing them. "Since the golden cup was the magical object that brought Lady Hari there-it could also take her back!"
Her statement did give a good reasonable point as she voiced it but then Thranduil and the others knew that would mean that Hari has to go back to where all the dark Istari are, including the evil Dark Istari Voldemort himself.
They all tensed with anticipation and worry, anxious about what's going to happen next once Hari realizes this.
Hari's eyes widened in realization and looked at the floating ball when it started glowing brightly again, nearly blinding her and then abruptly she woke up in a sudden gasp with the worried chirping Phoenix hovering over her face like it's been there the whole time and was concerned for the elf girl when she didn't wake up after healing her wound.
The phoenix almost flapped its wings in surprise by Hari's sudden awakening and chided at her with a sharp trill like the magical firebird is scolding her for making it worry like that.
Hari smiled and gently stroked the phoenix bird's head, making it croon and purr at the affectionate soft gesture before she became serious and turned her head back in the direction where they came from.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but…we need to go back," she said.
Her words instantly made the phoenix screech indignantly and hit her right on the top of her head with a hard yet light peck of its beak, making Hari cry out in surprised pain. Hari seemed to understand the phoenix's negative agitation and comforted by telling it the reason why they're going back to the very place where the dark wizards are there, including Lord Voldemort, was because her only way back to her friends at the magical school is the golden cup that got her there.
The phoenix understood the disguised elf girl but it crooned with worry like it didn't want to fly and bring Hari straight into danger but the elf maiden reassured the magical bird that they will be fine and she can defend herself much better than last time.
It didn't take long for a few minutes later in a grim silent tension…for Hari to be brought back with the phoenix carrying her with its talons at one of her hands again, and this time Hari is ready to face against the dark wizards, just so she could reach and get to the golden cup, which will transport her out of there and back to the magic school.
Before Hari could thank the phoenix for saving her or ask it if it wants to stay by her side, the magical firebird flew away in a flashing flutter as if the graveyard is truly surrounded with dark magic and a very scary black aura, afraid that it will affect its own fiery light magic.
Hari sighed and swiftly put on her magic cloak, tiptoeing slowly in silent steps to get to the golden cup, which was still lying on the spot there, discarded and abandoned by the dark wizards and Voldemort, not knowing that their intended victim is going back for it.
But it looks like she didn't have to worry about a sudden ambush to take her and complete the dark ritual Voldemort was trying to do in regaining his physical body back because Hari nearly shivered with revulsion and fright upon hearing the angry hissing yells from the Dark Istari and the tortured agonizing screams coming from his followers as he struck them with a horrible dark curse or something.
"Oh, dear…she better hurry and get to the cup-before something else might happen!" Tauriel said worriedly.
"Tauriel! Don't jinx it!" Legolas scolded his friend, almost following how the dwarf Sunny had said when he understood what those kinds of words meant.
Thranduil, the two Elven rulers, and Gandalf were all tense in their seats, almost nervous like they're expecting some of the dark wizards to come out and catch Hari in the act as she's now nearing reach towards the fallen golden cup on the ground, even though she's still invisible under her magic cloak.
Hari made it just in time and she felt the pulling yanking kind of feeling again once her hand grabbed on the handle of the golden cup, then she instantly disappeared, just as the werewolf came out and sniffed the air, thinking that it sensed someone outside but found nothing.
It was a fast blurry split-second later that Hari found herself back into the maze, the very spot where she was forced and taken away, now she returned safe and sound, with the other two Champions, the other wizards, including the professors, staff, and tournament judges, even the Auror kinds, as they found out that Hari was kidnapped and tried to track her by magic while investigating the scene to try to find her-and that's when she suddenly appeared before them, almost taking most of them by surprise.
"What in Merlin-!?" one of the wizards cried out in perplexed shock.
"Hari!"
"Oh, Hari! You're okay!"
Sunny, Luna, Hermione, and Neville pushed themselves and ran from the crowd that was blocked by some Aurors trying to hold them back from contaminating the crime scene, went right at Hari when she appeared and then engulfed her in a big group hug.
Thranduil and the others watching the magical viewing Dream-sharing all sighed and slump with relief, seeing Hari has come back safe and sound without any more harm put upon her.
"You really had us worried when the judges suddenly stopped the tournament and announced that you disappeared and were taken!" Sunny cried out, tightening her hug upon being really concerned and afraid for her friend's disappearance and unexpected abduction when it happened but was very glad to have her back.
Luna held back her sobs as she nuzzled her face against Hari's side so that no one could see her cry, and Hermione did the same like hers on the other side. Neville, on the other hand, tried to look brave but he kept hugging Hari from the back as Sunny was still holding her on the front, very glad to have his big friend back, even though she and Sunny will be leaving after school year at the time.
"All right, all right! Break it up, now! We need to check on miss Hari over here and find out what has happened to her!" Prof. Moody intervened in their reunion moment, despite that the expression on his face showing that he truly regrets interrupting their moment, but serious matters must be dealt with.
"Indeed! Come, Hari, let's bring you straight to the infirmary and have Healer Poppy check on your health, dear!" Prof. McGonagall suddenly appeared right beside him, her face also showing emotionally that she's glad Hari has returned alive and well.
"Wait! We must celebrate and announce our grand champion since Miss Hari got the cup-!" one of the judges cried out but another judge, the one called Crouch, snapped at him, instantly rendering him silent like he's one of the Aurors or wizard police or something.
"That's enough! Miss Hari here must have gone through a horrible ordeal when she got suddenly abducted! Do yourself a favor and do something else much better like doing damage control, same as the Aurors are doing! Go on! Get to it!" Crouch ordered at them, surprising some of the others at his harsh commands but it's no surprise as he is the Head judge of the Triwizard Tournament and a very fair one.
However, when Hari was taken away and separated from her friend, Sunny whispered discreetly that she'll follow after her, which made Hari feel better, and just as McGonagall was escorting Hari to the Hospital Wing, they were suddenly intercepted by the Head judge Crouch when he ran to get to them.
"Wait! Prof. McGonagall-I'll escort Hari to the healer's ward, you're being called back by Headmaster Dumbledore. He said it was urgent?" he said.
McGonagall sighed and muttered darkly like this is the last straw she'll be doing any favors for that old senile wizard. "What does that old meddling coot want now?"
The elderly female wizard looked at Hari in silent question like she's asking if she'll be alright with Mr. Crouch and Hari smiled back, replying that she'll be fine and McGonagall left them alone a bit reluctantly.
Hari nodded at Crouch kindly before letting him move forward to lead the way on escorting her to the Healing quarters where Madame Poppy is there waiting but she didn't notice a sudden dark evil expression spreading on Crouch's face like he's leading her to her death, instead of life, and Hari is unaware of it until it will be too late.
"Oh for the love of-can't she take a break!?" Lady Galadriel surprised herself upon stating such words out loud when she and the others realized that the danger has not passed and Hari is completely oblivious and unaware of not noticing the dark bad looks on the Istari's face, revealing that this must be an evil one or something worse.
Surprisingly though, the healer Madame Poppy was not inside the Hospital ward but Crouch insisted on staying with Hari to wait for her in case she comes back from whatever healing errand she's on.
Crouch smiled at Hari, encouraging her to sit back or lie down on one of the hospital beds while he looks around to make them drinks like tea to warm up or calm her down from the kind of ordeals she went through when she got taken.
Hari didn't think anything of it as she seemed distracted into waiting for her friend Sunny to come after her and looked at the doors, not aware that Madame Poppy has been there in the Healing wing the whole time and has been waiting for them to come but when she's about to come out, Crouch found her first and suddenly cursed her unconscious and silent then drag her prone body away from sight so that Hari won't notice anything amiss.
By the time he came back, he was nonchalantly trying to make small talk with Hari as he tried to ask her what had happened when she got abducted but Hari decided to be evasive and answer a few of his questions but didn't reply to the others.
However, Crouch was being too pushy and persistent in asking her those questions and trying to make Hari answer them as if she has some grand adventurous story to tell but then it annoyed Hari to the point that she wanted to snap at him or curse him to be silent.
That was when…Hari finally realized that something is wrong-with the way how Crouch is asking all those questions to her.
"Wait…I never mentioned…any graveyard." Hari said softly upon registering clearly the kind of questioning that Crouch is asking or demanding at her in his persistent way.
Then her eyes widened slowly in horror upon realizing something about the wizard that's questioning her so vehemently like that.
"Oh good, she finally gets it-now run and get out of there quick!" Gandalf snaps out loud as if he were there with them.
But it was already too late for Hari to react.
Ropes suddenly appeared out of nowhere and tied Hari tightly bound on the bed, and she struggled furiously to break free but when she can't, she tried to open her mouth and scream but the enchanted ropes also entangled and shut her mouth, gagging her into silence.
Then Hari froze when she saw the seemingly friendly Crouch…now donning an evil sneering expression down at her as he loomed over like some foreboding black shadow.
"Well now, Miss Hariana Evergreen. You have become quite a troublesome sacrifice for my master, the great Dark Lord," Crouch said, almost hissing in a very scary way like he's trying to mimic his wizard master.
Hari froze and her eyes widened in horrified shock, even more, when she realized that this man is another dark follower of Voldemort.
"Though my master told me that I should bring you back to him alive…he never said that I should deal with you first-to make you compliant so that Lord Voldemort will get what he wants from you before killing you."
After he said those ominous words, he reached out with one of his own bare hands to remove the rope gag on her mouth, and Hari couldn't yell out a scream for help or even speak when she saw that the wizard's face is melting down, revealing that Crouch is actually on Polyjuice potion, revealing the true face of the dark wizard underneath.
"You can scream and yell out all you want-you must have forgotten that here in the Hospital wing…it's completely sound-proof. So…I'll savor being the only one to hear you scream! CRUCIO!"
Hari tried to withstand whatever dark curse he just cast right at her as he aimed his wand and struck the dark spell but then she realized and remembered that the dark curse he casts is one of the Unforgivable Curses that Moody taught before.
That is the torture curse, Cruciatus.
"NO!"
Thranduil screams out yelling in blazing fury, standing up instantly from his seat with clenched fists and anger-trembling body frame as he and the others watched helplessly when Hari is tortured by the horrible curse from the Dark Istari and she couldn't break free because it was powerful enough to pain and immobile her, even when she's bound, as she cries out in agony.
It seems like Thranduil looked to be in despair as if he has somewhat seen this before but it turns out later on, he'll be revealing to his friends that he felt this kind of torture upon realizing that when he fell asleep to share and download the Dream-sharing into the magical memory-viewing orb-he also felt everything that Hari has gone through and felt the most piercing agonizing pain, which he thought came from his cursed burn scars, and he's been under it for almost a long while until his worried son Legolas woke him up abruptly upon finding him in that tortured state.
But upon seeing this, he now realized that the sharp torturing kind of pain he felt before-came from Hari being tortured in a magical dark way.
"Oh no…!" Galadriel gasped, her eyes almost tearing up emotionally on watching this horrific scene of Thranduil's soulmate pair being tortured by the Dark Istari and the Elven King can't do anything at all to be there and save her.
"CRUCIO!"
Hari kept screaming out in pain and writhing in agony against the tight ropes bounding her to the bed but somehow she managed to hold back her tears from pouring out of her eyes so that the sick demented dark wizard won't savor her misery any more than she already is in now, as she was struck by the dark curse cast from the dark wizard almost many times to try to break her down into a helpless weak figure.
But it seems the dark wizard knew that Hari was trying to keep holding on strong and he sneered even more evilly, ready to cast the torture curse more powerfully when suddenly-!
"AAAHHH!"
The dark wizard suddenly fell down crying in agony when a sharp slicing pain cut through his legs and when he looked down, the evil wizard was shocked and horrified to see that both his legs were cut off from the lower knees, leaving him with both footless stumps and a bloody pool instantly forming from the decapitation.
Then he looked up to see his attacker, showing an enraged Sunny, brandishing her ax up high, almost in slow motion and the dark wizard realized that the short girl is not hesitating to kill him.
"This-is for hurting my friend, you sick bastard!"
THWACK! SPLURT!
With one powerful swing from the dwarf girl, she cleaved and cut off the dark wizard's head and it rolled off and away to the corner or some dark spot in the room, followed by the body dropping dead and the pool of blood spread, even more, when Sunny just killed him right there and then, saving Hari from the painful dark magic kind of torture she's been suffering from.
The others all sighed, completely relieved that Hari's dwarf friend came just in time to rescue and save her.
Elrond patted Thranduil, trying to soothe and calm him down. "She's alright, my friend. Look…the Lady Dwarf Sunny has saved Lady Hari and is now helping her."
It didn't take long for Thranduil to be coaxed to sit back down on his throne-like seat and watched as the scene plays out, continuing on but he still looked worried for his soulmate as he focused on her.
"Oh, great Mahal! Hari-are you okay?!" Sunny cried as she dropped her ax and ran straight to her friend, to check on her and see if she's alright. Hari just groaned weakly when Sunny swiftly used magic from her drawn-out wand to remove all the enchanted ropes binding her to the bed. "What am I saying?! Of course, you're not okay! Now come on, girl-get up! This time-we're finally and seriously leaving this joint-for good!"
Hari tried to get up and stand as best as she could but the pain she felt and went through from the torturous dark curse was too much that she instantly fell right on and over her dwarf friend.
Sunny nearly stumbled backward and almost fell down on the ground when Hari's slightly heavyweight of her body collapsed onto her but managed to maintain her balance and tried to hold the bigger girl up with her own dwarf strength.
"Hey! Hey, girl, what's wrong?!" she demanded instantly concerned for her elf friend.
"I can't…will my body to move…" Hari voiced softly, almost rasping weakly. "The curse he hit me with…it felt like I was being burned alive or pierced with sharp daggers from the inside wholly and then out."
"Crap! Whatever this dark curse is…it must've been powerful enough to hurt you this much and make you weak!" Sunny cursed while glaring at the dead Death-Eater angrily as if daring him to come back alive so that she'll hack him again with her big sharp ax.
"It was and-the curse he struck me with was the Cruciatus curse that Moody taught in his lessons before…I was cursed by it so many times-exactly about seven times, in fact." Hari added in for her dwarf friend to know what was done to her.
"Figures you'd always have the time to remind me upon saying and lecturing about this certain knowledge-but right now, I need to focus on getting the both of us out of here quickly, girlfriend!" Sunny said hurriedly after muttering the first latter words, just as she grunted and tried to use her whole dwarf strength to carry her friend, Hari, deciding to carry her in a piggy-back style to get them both out of the magic school quickly.
Hari didn't answer as she just moaned a little, still in pained agony from suffering the dark torture curse, as she lies against Sunny, trusting her dearest best friend to help her and get them out of there.
Even though Sunny should have used magic to carry and help her internally injured elf friend, the dwarf girl is not risking it to gain any more attention upon leaving the Hospital wing with the hacked up dead body and the still enchanted unconscious Madame Poppy left behind in there-because the torture curse that Hari was struck upon-also damaged her disguising magic too instantly, showing Hari's true form as an elf.
That is the very reason why Sunny said that it's now time to leave the magic school without going through graduation and all that because Hari's true identity will be caught and revealed by others and Sunny won't stand by and watch as Dumbledore or any other wizard take Hari away because of her true nature as an Elf!
Sunny grunted and strained from the weight of her friend as she suddenly went unconscious from the agonizing pain still running within her but the dwarf determinedly carried her through the halls, using some bits of her magic to patrol and watch around her surroundings until she reached the Gryffindor Dorms to quickly pack up all their things and get them somehow out of the school before others noticed.
However-once the two girls made it into the dorms and were about to climb up and reach the private quarters-Sunny stopped and looked torn upon using memory-erasing spells on seeing Luna, Hermione, Neville-and shockingly, the two champions Viktor Krum and Fleur Delacour, when they were gathered inside the Gryffindor Dorms, seeming to wait with anticipation and anxiety for Hari.
Needless to say, they were all completely stunned shocked, and dumbstruck upon seeing Sunny carry the weak unconscious Hari upon her short being from behind. Then in unison, they all moved forward almost like a mob, crowding Sunny as she tries to make them back off so that they won't see Hari's pointed ears.
"Oh, Hari! What happened?!" Hermione cried.
"Why didn't you take her to the Hospital wing, Miss Sunny?! Hari clearly needs help!" Neville demanded.
"We can help take her!" Both Viktor and Fleur cried out, wanting to assist like they are also friends of Hari and Sunny.
"No-you can't! Hey! You guys-back off!" Sunny barked at them while backing away and dodging their efforts in reaching out to help Hari from her back and it took a second later for Luna to assist her in blocking them when she noticed and saw that Hari's true form is out and revealed.
Luna held back her gasp but she went in between Sunny and the others, spreading out her small arms wide open like she's really trying to block them from getting to Hari, surprising them by her actions.
Luna just smiled at them in a mysterious way and tried to encourage them to leave. "I'm sure Hari is fine. Let Sunny pass for them to get in their dorms and let's just leave them alone, okay?"
"But-Hari, she's hurt-!" Hermione cried and tried to maneuver around Luna but she jumped and blocked her way, even her sight, to prevent her from seeing Hari.
"It's okay!" Luna chirped lightly as if her big guardian-like friends are unharmed and wholly well. "They're fine-just let them be, alright? We'll check on them later!"
Thank you-so much, little elfling Luna!
Sunny mentally thought in gratitude for the disguised young elfling girl and sighed with relief when Luna managed to convince and persuade the others into leaving her and Hari alone and Luna followed after them to ensure that they'll go away while glancing back worriedly at Hari and looked silently at Sunny as if asking her to call if she needs any help.
Sunny just nodded at her in thanks before hastily hurrying to carry and bring Hari inside and lay her on the bed before she falls over to the ground from the heavyweight.
Sunny gave another sigh of relief as she managed to place Hari on her bed but she look at her worriedly when she's still unconscious upon suffering some kind of after-effects of the dark curse she was struck and put under. She knew that some of her healing potions might help but there's no time for it so Sunny swiftly and magically packed up all of their things, including releasing Hari's owl familiar Hedwig to leave and get out of the magic school before more dangers or threats come at them, and will hurt Hari even more than she already is in a seemingly worst condition.
"She better hurry up before her state of condition turns even worse!" Lord Elrond muttered, glancing at King Thranduil as he seemed to be trembling visibly like he's trying to hold down his rising temper and not explode into irrational fury.
Hari moans weakly, "Mm…Sunny…?"
Sunny instantly turned around when she heard her friend's weak voice but she saw, to her dismay, that Hari only stirred a little before she went back to unconsciousness, lying down on her side as if Hari's poor battered body is at its toll now.
"Hang on, buddy-just hang in there!" Sunny muttered as she hastily packed up the last of their bags, shrunk them, and then placed them right into the pockets of their magic cloaks before she readied herself into moving Hari's body and carrying her piggy-back style again upon leaving the magic school permanently.
"Oof! Girlfriend-just what have you been eating?" Sunny grunted and strained as she pulled her friend a bit hard but carefully gentle upon moving to carry her on her back again. "I thought all of you Elves are supposed to be light and dainty, same as your looks!?"
"Is that dwarf actually calling my pair FAT !?" Thranduil uttered indignantly.
Gandalf and Lord Elrond managed to stifle their amused snickers, disguising them as light coughs, while Lady Galadriel and Legolas hid their smiles behind their raised hands.
"Okay, okay, I got it, I got it and wait-what the-?! What are you guys doing back here!?" Sunny suddenly demanded, nearly shouting but managed to hold it back upon remembering the burden she's trying to carry behind her.
The reason why Sunny yelled like that in a horrified yet angry way was because the others returned and they were staring at Hari and Sunny-specifically, staring comically wide-eyed in seeing both their pointed ears-which Sunny forgot to magically put on their human guises and their true forms are out and revealed.
"I'm so sorry!" Luna cried out, though her face showed a calm serene expression sincerely as she said. "They were so insistent into wanting to know what's going on-I had no choice but to tell them the truth and-"
"YOU TOLD THEM!?"
"Ohh no…what was that foolish girl thinking?!" Lady Galadriel couldn't believe that the young elfling girl just told the human Istari of Hari and Sunny's big secret.
Sunny cried out in shocked demand and furious outrage but Hermione quickly reassured her.
"Don't worry! We'll keep our silence about your big secret-honest!" she said truthfully sincere but Sunny has her doubts about it.
It seems that she finally became convinced that they're friendly allies when the two strangers Fleur and Viktor explained as Fleur spoke first, "I am Half-Veela. A magical being almost similar to your Elven friends-but we are regarded as Siren-like beings to other wizards and most of them see us nothing but sexual beautiful kinds of creatures that will cater to their sick desires-which I'm sure you sympathize with the plights your Dwarf race and the other Elves are suffering upon trying to escape and free from the wizards when they attempt to force slavery upon all of you."
Then Viktor said next, saying his own case. "I come from a family who has a disgusting belief that we wizards are far more superior than any other magical creature or being here in this world, such as being above the Veela, Elves-even Goblins themselves-I was one of those fortunate who do not have that kind of belief and turn away from that path, no matter how much my family tries to instill or force that into me."
"Oh my-I believe they're truly sincere with what they said," Gandalf whispered to Elrond discreetly as he nodded in agreement even though the Elf Lord saw that the others are still doubtful towards the other Istari, despite that they are still young humans.
Hermione and Neville even pleaded their own cases as Neville said, "I was almost raised the whole time believing that I was nothing more but a Squib-a magic-less wizard-but you and Hari brought back my belief and confidence that I can still wield magic, even without it, no matter what others believe that I'm nothing but a useless nincompoop or something like that!"
Hermione told her own confident statement as the last one, "Even though I was born and raised as a Mundane witch-and treated like dirt by the other wizards and witches, even called 'Mudblood' by them-I believe, in the entirety of my very being and soul, that everyone is equal and that no one deserved to be treated as if they're all the bottom of whatever so-called hierarchy-and be forced into slavery or worse than that!"
There was a tense…almost a bit awkward kind of silence for a bit…and then-!
Sunny sighed, feeling the same as the secret smiling brightly beaming Luna that these young Istari can truly be trusted to help her and her friend. "Okay-you guys got me convinced. But we need to hurry-I'm pretty sure that the alarm is about to be raised soon-and I need to get Hari and myself out of this school right now!"
"What is the plan for you and Hari to get out?" Luna asked lightly, sounding like she doesn't mind that her older guardians will be permanently leaving the school as if she knew that later on, she'll be joining them soon sometime in the future.
"Honestly…I didn't think of it that far ahead-I was pretty much focused on packing up and getting me and Hari out of here quickly," Sunny confessed a bit sheepishly as Viktor and Fleur quickly unloaded her burden, much to her relief, and Viktor gently lifted the unconscious form of Hari into his arms, carrying her bridal style.
Thranduil instantly frowned, not liking how this male Istari is carrying and holding his soulmate like that but then his son Legolas was brave enough to lean close and remind him that the Istari is being gentle and tender because Lady Hari is hurt and unconscious from her recently the previous injury, and that cooled down the Elven King's temper a little after his son told him that, much to the others' relief when they glanced nervously at him upon this particular scene.
Before Fleur or Hermione was about to ask Sunny what she needs in order to escape Hogwarts and evade the professors or other wizards roaming about, the dwarf girl suddenly heard a faint bird squawking from outside and she couldn't help but look out through the window and find out and see where that sound came from.
Sunny looked out and saw that Hari's familiar, the white owl Hedwig has not left since she shooed it out and tried to persuade to fly back home wherever Hari and the bird familiar came from, and strangely enough, it was circling around and pointing its beak meaningfully down at the bound Hippogriff, curled up and sleeping peacefully on the grounds by the Forbidden Forests, which the dwarf recognized that it is the same one called Buckbeak from Hagrid's first lesson as Care of Magical Creatures teacher.
"How brilliant! Hari's familiar is truly amazing!" Gandalf praised and then he stroked his beard thoughtfully to himself like he's wondering what kind of animal familiar he might have gotten if he had the chance or blessed by the Valar or not, somehow in Middle Earth there.
Sunny's eyes instantly widened in realization as she figured it out and then Hedwig just chirruped and flapped its white feathery wings impatiently like the owl familiar is telling the dwarf girl to get on with it and hurry up.
"I got an idea!" Sunny said out loud, rounding to the others who are ready and expectant to hear what she has planned but she just told them. "Go to the highest tower here in this castle and wait for me there! Got it?!"
"Wait! But-how are you-?" Neville asked confused like he's wondering how Sunny is going to get Hari out of Hogwarts, just by bringing her and going to the highest castle tower where there's no way out or escape there.
"Just do it!" she snapped and then she dashed off, leaving them before they could ask her more on what she's planning to do for both of them to escape.
When Sunny was gone, leaving the others a bit shocked at her unexpected actions, Luna snaps them out of their dumbstruck dazes. "Well, you heard her-let's go!"
The others decided to follow Luna's lead, despite that she's a bit younger than all of them, and Fleur helped Viktor to cover Hari up with a dark cloak, bundling her and almost completely covering her from sight because Sunny had Hari's magic cloak with her in the enchanted shrunken stuff in her pockets when packing their things and left in a hurry to retrieve their escape route or something.
Then slowly and quietly, they got out of the Gryffindor Dorms and maneuvered swiftly through the slightly dark halls, as it's still late at nighttime then, and barely managed to avoid any professor or other wizards patrolling or wandering about, to react to their destination that is in the very highest castle tower in that magic school.
Meanwhile, at almost the same time, as Luna and the others hurriedly helped the unconscious Hari upon getting to their intended destination, Sunny runs as fast as she can with all of her dwarf being upon getting down into the grounds and sprinting straight at the slumbering magical creature, that is the Hippogriff, which will be the very one to help them escape and transport them out of the school swiftly without anyone else chasing after them.
She nearly managed to duck down and hide behind a boulder when she almost got caught by the half-giant wizard Hagrid who's talking and sobbing with Dumbledore who's there with him like something is happening badly, that got the giant Istari crying like that.
It seems that one or two of the students had complained to their parents about the dangerous creature lessons that Hagrid has been naively teaching them upon thinking that he's doing it good and harmless. Then the parents instantly complained straight to the school's Headmaster, demanding for the teacher to be sacked from its position and have every creature that Hagrid had to be put down to death.
Dumbledore was faux comforting the Istari giant that it's for the 'greater good' and Hagrid was very much disappointed and upset about the news, that he tried begging the Headmaster for his pet Buckbeak to be spared but the old coot of a Headmaster wizard told him that his hands are tied and he can't do anything for him as he apologized insincerely to the poor sobbing giant.
Sunny peeked and eavesdropped over this, and it seems like she knew that there are more than two lives she'll be saving and rescuing from-namely her and Hari-and will be leaving for good from this place.
She waited almost impatiently for the two Istari to leave until they walked off like the Headmaster is escorting the giant to the school to be comforted like drowning their sorrows with drinks or something like that and the dwarf girl tiptoed quietly from her hiding place, stopping a bit to make sure that they're gone, and then continued running swiftly right towards the Hippogriff, which woke up at the opportune moment but didn't attack Sunny when she loosened the ropes that tied around the creature's neck and bound it against the wooden posts by Hagrid's hut and then started pulling at it to make it move.
However, one slight problem is that-the Hippogriff didn't budge as it just laid in its place down on the ground and chirped curiously with its head tilted to the side as if asking what the little short being is doing.
"Come on, Buckbeak! Work with me here-I'm trying to help you keep your life alive still so PLEASE help me!" Sunny begged as she pulled and strained into trying to make the big Hippogriff move.
"Oh for the love of-! Move, you stubborn half-bird beast! My pair is in danger!" Thranduil snapped like he's trying to use his intimidating presence to coax that Hippogriff creature to move, almost forgetting that he can't because this is only a magical memory-viewing Dream-sharing but the others knew better than that to not point it out at him, as they didn't want to make the Elven King lose his temper since he's worrying for his soulmate.
"OOF! Ohh-so you wanna do it the hard way, huh?" Sunny groused grumpily at the Hippogriff, narrowing her eyes glaring at it when it lightly squawked at her with amusement when she fell down on her bottom upon losing her grip on the ropes tied upon it and tried to pull but suddenly tripped backward and fell. "Fine! You asked for it!"
The dwarf looked around, knowing that forcing it or shouting at it won't work since she remembered the lesson well that Hippogriff is proud creatures and won't hesitate to harm you with its wicked sharp talons if you offended it-so she went for the next best thing, which she knew very well in her opinion, it works almost all the time into coaxing creatures or other beings alike to be friendly with her.
And that is food.
The Hippogriff laid its head back down on its curled talon paws like it's now bored while Sunny found what she's looking for, hurriedly grabbed it, and brought it back with one hand pulling on the ropes again, making the half-bird horse-like beast lift up its head and was about to snap at the short being until its eyes lit upon seeing the dead ferret hanging from Sunny's other hand as she enticed the creature with it.
Sunny beamed upon seeing it instantly zeroing at the snack she's holding at it. "Here, Buckbeak! Look what I got for you, big guy!" she cooed, enticing it even more and it seems her idea worked when the Hippogriff swiftly moved up and stood on all of its feet, leaning its head forward, sniffing curiously and interested at the treat the dwarf's showing at it. "That's it…come on, big birdie…move along, so I can give you more of these and get you for me to ride upon you so we can get out of here!"
"I never thought I would ever see the day that a dwarf would be so gentle towards another creature, such as this one!" Legolas commented wryly, shaking his head like he couldn't believe such an astonishing sight of Sunny cooing and coaxing the Hippogriff to move towards the clearing in such a nice way, unlike any other normal dwarf that he knows or had seen.
Tauriel nodded in silent agreement with him as she watched the scene play out.
Sunny also managed to not tease the Hippogriff into getting agitated upon not getting its treats as she encouraged and fed it with the dead ferrets she held on for it with her free hand and coaxed it upon pulling with the other to get it to the wide plain clearing so she can swiftly ride astride it and fly off with it.
But then it looks like another obstacle came to block their way when suddenly-!
"Well now…this is interesting."
Sunny nearly lost her grip on the ropes again when she heard that familiar yet not-so-good voice suddenly and almost fell down on the ground when she abruptly twisted around and confronted that person with no weapons since she got her hands full and clenching tightly on the things she's holding, which is the rope and another dead ferret treat for the Hippogriff to coax and feed it again.
She cursed mentally upon seeing that it's Dumbledore, the so-called Light Istari of goodness, as he seemed to be smiling evilly at her while fingering the wand he's drawn out and pointed straight at her.
"I was expecting your elf friend Miss Hari Evergreen to come out and rescue the Hippogriff but-I guess you'll have to do, miss dwarf," he said in a knowing yet sneering voice like he's revealing that he knew of Sunny and Hari's big secret.
Sunny didn't give the wizard the pleasure of seeing her shock or any other expression on her face which she maintained a blank yet furious glaring look like she's trying to intimidate the Istari to get out of their way but he's not budging or moving aside from his spot at all, much to her frustration and dismay.
Dumbledore smiled as if he thought he got her trapped but he wasn't aware that there is a small white form swooping down from the skies, aimed right at him until it was too late. "Now…how about we talk business, shall we, my dear-ARGH! GET OFF ME, YOU FEATHERY NUISANCE!"
"Truly amazing-very good timing, that dear owl!" Lady Galadriel remarked out loud with a wide smile as she and the others watched the white owl furiously attack the wizard with furious fluttering feathers, screeching cries, and sharp talons as it flapped and scratched at Dumbledore while he tried to fight it off and drive it away.
Dumbledore was so distracted into trying to drive off the white owl attempting to attack and scratch at his face, he didn't notice or was unaware that Sunny quickly took advantage of that and struck strikingly fast.
"STUPEFY!"
The old light wizard was swiftly and suddenly shot at by the dwarf girl's Stunning spell so strongly that it completely immobilized the senile Istari as he fell down on the ground, frozen like a real statue, with only his eyes darting and moving about and around as the only movements able.
The Hippogriff didn't react into garnering any other attention back at the castle since they're far away from anybody else at the magic school and they're the only ones there, while the white owl fluttered down to perch right into Buckbeak's back as it basked into eating and munching its treat when Sunny dropped the ferret in haste to drawing out her wand and striking at the old wizard with complete distaste in her entire facial features and being as she glared down at the frozen Istari.
Sunny didn't let go of the rope on the Hippogriff with her other hand as she holstered her wand back and reached down to look around and see if the old wizard had any other hidden weapons on him but all Dumbledore had was the wand still on his hand that Sunny didn't hesitate into forcibly grabbing it off him.
Without hesitation and right in front of the frozen wide-eyed wizard-SNAP!
Sunny snapped his wand with a good hard break into two, and she smirked at the utter dismay in the old wizard's eyes when she broke a wizard's precious and only item, which is his wand.
"You-do not deserve to wield this wand as you are not the Light wizard-everybody thinks that you are to be!"
With that statement justly said, Sunny soothed the Hippogriff after feeding it well and managing to make it listen to her commands, she gracefully rode astride it and coaxed it to "Giddy-up!" and fly, right up and straight into the highest tower of the Hogwarts magic school castle, to get to Hari and the others as they're already there waiting for her to come.
Leaving the frozen helpless old wizard behind, with no weapon or any way for him to break free from the Stunning hex upon him at all, as Sunny brought the broken wand with her, in case Dumbledore might find a way into repairing it back.
Gandalf huffed, "Good riddance, I say-and well said as the dwarf stated it!"
Thranduil and the others agreed but the Elven King was still tense and anxious in his seat as he wondered why the Dream-sharing showed the dwarf succeeding in her endeavor to obtain an escape for her and his pair, and he wondered what has happened with her as she's under the care with the other young Istari from before.
It's as if the magical memory-viewer responded to his concerned thoughts as the scene changed and showed the part where Luna, Hermione, and the others are nearing their destination into reaching towards the path where it will lead straight up into the highest castle tower as Sunny told them what they must do. And Thranduil saw that Viktor is still holding on to the cloak-covered Hari in his arms as he carried her gently but hurriedly in their haste to get there-but much to their dismay and frustration, they are delayed slightly from some obstacles that came or unexpectedly intervened in their way to getting there.
Hermione suddenly stopped, nearly jolting forward upon the others bumping against at behind her, and she managed to grab Luna to stop her as she turned around and hissed lowly at the others. "Other way! Other way!"
They don't know what's wrong but they followed her orders and managed to turn around and hide in a dark corner, where it turns out that a few Aurors were patrolling around as if something bad has happened and they're investigating the castle grounds to find whatever it is they're looking for, and they were relieved when they passed by without them noticing that something's amiss or someone is hiding or lurking by the dark corners and such.
But before they could move forward into coming out of hiding and continue moving on in a haste to get to their destination, Luna peeked over first and instantly pushed them back, telling them in hushed whispers that the Aurors are still there and they confronted one of the professors, which is Prof. Moody who passed by and they intercepted him into questioning or interrogating him.
Luna gestured silently for them to stay back while Viktor nearly tightened his grip upon the covered bundle he's holding protectively and then went to peek over again, to check and see if they're gone or not.
"Oh, great Valar-move on already!" Elrond cursed at the confounded Istari as they're blocking the young Istari's way into getting to their escape route.
That's when they all tensed when they saw Moody's magical eye rounding and zeroing straight at the peeking Luna who froze still upon being caught under his gaze but then they now realized that this warrior-like Istari is truly a friendly ally when Moody managed to persuade and convince the Aurors to leave and they did, going down the other direction while Moody stood there like he's standing guard and making sure that the other Istari has truly gone and left.
Luna nearly slumped over with relief on seeing the Aurors leave and Moody discreetly turned to nod dimly at their direction, indicating them to move on and leave fast before they might turn around and catch them in the act.
"Thank you!" Luna mouthed silently soft at him and Moody just nodded at the little girl before he turns away and follows after the Aurors to doubly make sure that they're leaving and are distantly away from the young wizards and witches as they came out of hiding from the dark corner and hurriedly ran to the intended destination that they're going to.
By the time they got there and made it, up high on top of that very high castle tower, they thought that they still needed to wait because Sunny isn't there yet-when they're suddenly taken by surprise when Hari's owl Hedwig fluttered with some kind of grand announcing screech, telling them like something's coming up and then the Hippogriff swooped up high with a mighty flap of its wings and a hawk's cry like it's showing off but its rider Sunny didn't like it as she shouted at it to stop that and get down on the tower where the others are standing there still, with open gaping jaws.
The Hippogriff gracefully landed and preened itself proudly, and the others still gaped in wide-eyed shock at the stunning sight before Sunny barked at them to snap out of it after a seemingly long moment when in reality, it was only a few seconds of gobsmacked staring. "Don't just stand there gawking like idiots! Get Hari in here with me right now!"
Viktor moved just as Neville and Fleur helped to remove the dark cloak covering Hari and the male Istari of Durmstrang gently settled the unconscious elf girl ride behind Sunny who holds the reins and drives the Hippogriff, just as Hermione helped by using magic to tie them together so that Hari won't fall off when they fly off and away into the dark night skies once they depart and leave from the magic school.
"Will we see you again?" Luna asked softly, though it looks like she knew very well that they won't but the others don't know that Luna will be joining along with the hidden elves and dwarves from wherever the two races are hiding from the human and Istari populace.
Sunny looked uncertain to answer the elfling's question when she saw how stricken Neville and Hermione were upon the thought of never seeing her and Hari again but she reassured them in a soft voice that they'll contact each other by letters from time to time.
They exchanged heartfelt goodbyes, despite Sunny feeling a bit disconcerted about it but said them all the same just to be polite, but when it comes to Luna's turn as she's the last one, Sunny nearly managed to hold back her surprise and not worry the others when she saw the familiar eerie hypnotized-like dazed state that Luna is in upon facing the dwarf and then she spoke in soft Elven tongue as she shared whatever new prophecy, the young elfling Oracle is gifted to be.
"Ohh dear…this is not good- not a very good omen at all!" Lady Galadriel said softly as she and the other elves are the only ones who can understand what Luna just said to the dwarf Sunny clearly as she said and portrayed the prophecy that suddenly came and overwhelmed the young elfling Oracle.
"You think?!" Thranduil snapped at her dryly as he didn't need his friends to point it out when he seemingly understood some part of the prophecy just as Luna shared it to Sunny, even though she's confused and doesn't understand a thing but listened to her words throughout everything she said, very focused and intently.
Once Luna told and shared the Elven prophecy to Sunny, she blinked and snaps out of her trance and didn't notice anything amiss about herself as she nodded dimly and said goodbye to Sunny while looking forlornly at Hari like she's really worrying if she's going to be alright.
Sunny reassured and comforted her again that Hari will be fine and that she promised to send someone to take Luna, whenever she wants, needs it, or not, upon the time coming for the young elfling needed to be taken away from the magic school and brought to their care as she and Hari designate themselves as Luna's guardians since they both believe it's too dangerous for Luna to stay longer and live with her human Istari father, in case somebody else might find out of Luna's true identity as a female elfling and all that.
Luna nodded, accepting the comfort, and taking hold of Sunny's soft promise on coming for her before Sunny kicked the Hippogriff into leaving the tower and then it flapped its big wings again before it launches off and flies away, straight into the dark night cloudy skies, disappearing into the distance and leaving Hogwarts behind for good, and no longer looking back to return forever.
Sunny coaxed the Hippogriff to follow the snowy white owl Hedwig as Hari's familiar leads the way to where they needed to go and Sunny glances back worriedly at her friend Hari, who's still unconscious, and always checking their magic ties in case they loosened and might make one of them fall off from the Hippogriff whenever it turns or moves in its flight to jostle the riders off or something.
It wasn't long about an hour or so, that they made it flying straight into Hari's secret homeland, which is the Grey-Mists Forests, and Hedwig led the Hippogriff to fly down, right into the clearing next to the homey cottage by the thick misty forests and went in for a landing, just as Hari's foster mother came out from the small house with two unfamiliar people beside her.
Sunny cries out that she needs help with Hari, just as the Hippogriff gracefully landed onto the ground and instantly removes the magical ties bounding them both together in the back of the flying creature. The dwarf girl decided to ask about the two male strangers later or next time, who instantly came running to grab Hari and then transport the unconscious elf girl to the house gently.
"What happened?! What is wrong with my daughter!?" Adriana demanded as one of the male human strangers, which Sunny is surprised to realize that these two men are human, gently carried the limp Hari into the cottage.
"I don't know! All I know is that Hari got hit with a horrible torture spell-the Cruciatus curse, she said it's called-seven times, I think!" Sunny cried.
"WHAT!?" the elf mother nearly shrieked loud, that it got Sunny jumping a bit in surprise at the sudden shrill noise, while a few birds fly away in surprise screeches or squawks from the trees, even the Hippogriff Buckbeak nearly squawked and reared up in startled surprise by the loud shrill sound coming from the adult elf woman.
"Hey! Come help us! Hari needs you!" The other man shouted for the elf woman Adriana before she could demand at the dwarf girl how it happened.
Adriana cursed in frustration and followed after the two men as they went inside the cottage with their burden but she turned around and glared meaningfully at Sunny to stay put and that they need to talk later.
Sunny understood as she followed right behind the elf woman, already choosing to stay with them for the time being until Hari wakes up from the seeming coma she went under because of the cursed state that got her into this, or Adriana and the two strangers might find the right healing treatment that will help her awaken from her coma-induced condition.
Just as the others were nearly leaning forward in their seats, anticipating anxiously what the elf woman Adriana is going to do into healing Hari from her condition, the scenery and entire surroundings around them seemed to start fading into blackness like the night is coming.
But Thranduil realized what this is and instantly stood up in his seat, shouting in outrage and denial, and nearly startled the others by his outburst.
"NO!"
But it was already too late. The Dream-sharing ended and they were brought back into reality.

"NO!"
Thranduil yelled as he looked around and saw that they've come back to reality when the Dream-sharing ended and the magical memory-viewing orb fades away with its light to reveal that it's done and finished with its showing.
Leaving the poor Elven King with worrying questions and utter concern for the unknown state of his soulmate pair.
"Thranduil, my friend-please relax. She's now in safe hands and is under the care of her fellow kin. I'm sure she'll be fine," Lord Elrond tried to reassure and calm the Elven King down from his agitating worry for his pair but it didn't work as he started pacing around.
"You didn't hear what Luna just uttered on the prophecy that she just foretold!" Thranduil snapped at him. "More dangers or threats will come at Hari, even if she chose not to fulfill it!"
"Still-it doesn't mean it's going to happen while she's unconscious or whatever state of condition she's under or in," Lady Galadriel also soothed and comforted Thranduil to calm him from his agitated concerned state. "So calm down, King Thranduil, and relax…I'm sure that when the next Dream-sharing comes, you will find that she'll be fine by then. I know because I can feel and sense it."
Truthfully, Lady Galadriel did not but she omitted-or rather, lied-to Thranduil upon this statement she said to him as it seemed to have worked into calming the Elven King down when he listened to her words as she spoke them reassuringly for him.
Gandalf and Elrond seemed to be the only ones who caught on with her lie but nodded dimly in agreement at Lady Galadriel when she said them upon comforting the Elven King that his pair Hari will be fine.
Prince Legolas even moved forward to comfort his father but he does not know that it was a little white lie that Lady Galadriel said to him as he reassured his father upon telling him that Lady Hari will be fine too.
Little did they know…just as Tauriel called the servants in to clean up the room and settle the others back into their quarters to rest for another day, while Thranduil takes the magic memory-viewing orb to keep it safe in his hands-is that on the next Dream-sharing, Thranduil's worries about Hari's state will be eased.
But not enough to lower down his other concerns that more threatening or dangerous kinds of adventures will be coming for Hari-that she will need to confront and face, along with her dwarf friend Sunny-in pertaining to Luna's ominously foreboding prophecy.
However, it will bring about the end of the two certain Istari Lords who were determined to chase or takedown Hari, and even finally stop those who are persistent into pursuing the two trapped Middle-Earth races of elves and dwarves as they hide away from both the magical Wizarding world and the world of humans.
