Prompt from anesor: I would like more, too, perhaps Council thought on seeing more mature Kenobi as a Master. Does this shift Jinn and how he treats Anakin (not the boy's fault, but he would be so happy in the Corps tech ship design with looser restrictions) Do Cody and Obi-Wan see any ripples in changed timeline, like he's treated a little warmer or Cody has more respect by Council? (referring to chapter 72)

…..….…..….…..….….…

At first, the changes were small.

The Council were kinder, more willing to listen to him rather than dismissing his suggestions outright. They also appeared to be more respectful of Cody, almost like he was a part of the Order, not just a clone.

But it's not like the pair were ever ostracised before that, so neither of them noticed.

The first major change that they experience, was Qui-Gon…. And the fact that he was still alive.

"Care to explain what's going on here?" Qui-Gon has his arms crossed over his chest, as he stared at the pair.

Now, Cody wanted to say the obvious…. 'Aren't you dead?' However, that would have been a little insensitive, especially when Obi-Wan seemed to have frozen up beside him.

Qui-Gon didn't seem especially angry at them, almost amused. "What did I say would happen if I ever caught you two again?"

Cody and Obi-Wan glanced at one another, neither one of them knowing the answer.

"I see I've startled you." Qui-Gon rolled his eyes, "Come on. We said that we were going to visit Anakin today little one, remember?"

Obi-Wan tensed up further at the old nickname, not moving until Qui-Gon had left the room.

"What. Was. That?" He whispered, pulling himself out of bed, "Was that- "

"- He's alive." Cody had moved over to Obi-Wan's desk, picking up a holo-pic, "And General Skywalker… isn't a Jedi anymore."

"What?!"

Obi-Wan rushed over, practically snatching the picture out of Cody's hands. Despite the fact that they appeared to be in the same year they fell, Anakin looked younger, less ravaged by the years of war and fighting.

Both hands were flesh.

"He's married." Obi-Wan whispered, eyes focused on Padme standing by his side, two babies in their arms, "With children."

"So… does that mean he was never a Jedi?"

"It must do." Obi-Wan stared at the happy look on Anakin's face, "He must have… been sent to the Corps ship design instead, I know the Council wanted to do that originally."

As Obi-Wan stared at the picture, Cody did some research of his own.

"The war…" he whispered, "… it's been over for two years now."

"What?"

Holding up the data-pad, Cody shook it slightly. "The war. It started exactly as it did in the old timeline, which is probably why I'm still here… and then it ended."

"Ended?!"

"Count Dooku never went to the dark side… but he knew who Siddious was and gave him up." Cody's eyes widened in shock, "Apparently, Qui-Gon can be very persuasive."

"And… who was Siddious?"

"…. Senator Palpatine."

Obi-Wan stumbled back and took a seat on the bed, "That explains so much really." He took a deep breath, "So, we went back in time and now everything's changed, although I can't say I disapprove."

"So… me punching your old Master fixed everything?"

Obi-Wan rolled his eyes, "Don't get in the habit of it."

"So, we're not going to change anything?"

There was a moment of silence, before Obi-Wan sighed. "No… we're not. Nothing seems to be wrong, why change anything."

Cody leaned over and kissed the Jedi Master on the cheek. "Do you think we can be a little late visiting Anakin."

"No, you can't!"

At Qui-Gon's exclamation through the door, Obi-Wan groaned. "I've changed my mind. We need to go back."

Cody just laughed.
