So, my original estimation was that this would be six chapters, clearly it's going to exceed that. I wouldn't be surprised if this reaches 10 chapters!

Ch. 6 I Want to Bite & Kiss You

(DAMON)

"If I have to stake you to the wall," I reply as we race at each other ready to fight. I get him with the stake in the shoulder, but he kicks me in the ribs. I fly back a little but prepare and spring back at him kicking him. He is sent flying back into the wall, recovers and we start for each other again.

"Why don't you just back down and let me have her? I thought you were in love with Elena?" Klaus says gripping my shirt and forcing me into the wall.

"And I thought you wanted Caroline," I counter staking him in the stomach and kicking him back. Hard enough that he goes flying and hits the console table.

"Not since she began seeing the werewolf," he responds leaping up. He comes running toward me ready to hit, I begin advancing on him.

"DAMON?!" Clare calls in a worried tone. With all our fighting I didn't hear the shower turn off. Hearing her we both stop and turn toward the stairs. "Damon what's g…" Clare calls running down the stairs, she's dripping wet, barely wrapped in a robe. We both drink in the sight. "Klaus what are you doing here? Are you two fighting again?" She exclaims wrapping the robe tighter.

"I came to see you of course, you did promise to spend time with me. Damon was trying to stop me," Klaus tells her.

"I will spend time with you, but not tonight I'm tired. You two stop fighting, or I'll spend this whole trip with Ric," Clare tells us in a frustrated voice. She turns to go back up the stairs, but Klaus runs up the stairs and gets in front of her. She gasps and stops in her tracks.

"I can smell you Clare, you should come back to my place tonight," Klaus tells her. He makes his voice purr, makes it soft and silky, gently taking her hand.

"I…I…need to…" Clare stumbles over her words. I see her knees shaking and she starts to step back. Stepping on her robe she shrieks as she begins to fall back, I run over and catch her.

Having heard her scream as he parked Stefan comes running in, "What happened?"

"Klaus stopped by," I explain as Klaus saunters calmly down the stairs.

"Clare, are you okay?" Stefan asks her.

"Yes, just tripped on my robe. I came down when I heard the commotion I didn't know Klaus was here. I think I'll go finish my shower," she comments as I set her down gently. As soon as her feet are firmly on the ground, she pulls her robe up a little and goes bounding up the stairs.

"I'll come for her tomorrow," Klaus informs us.

"Why don't you leave Clare alone, both of you," Stefan responds.

Klaus only grins in response and runs through the door. While Stefan and I clean up I tell him exactly what happened. We hear Clare finish her shower while we're cleaning. When we're done Stefan says he's going to check on her and I pour myself another drink. I hear Stefan asking if she's okay, she says she's fine and she's going to bed. After my drink and some blood I go upstairs and get ready for bed, just getting between the sheets when there's a soft, timid knock on my door.

"You don't have to knock," I call back. I know it's Clare.

"Sorry, I can't sleep," she says. I move over and motion for her to come to the bed. She closes the door and comes, sitting next to me on the bed. "Klaus just came in, I thought he had to be invited?"

"Not when another vampire owns the property."

"Then he can just come in at any time?"

"He can, I don't think he'll just come snatch you if that's what you're worried about."

"No, not really, just…" her sentence trails off and she bites her lip.

"If you don't want to be with him you can tell him so," I tell her.

"It's not that either," she responds.

"Is the only reason you couldn't sleep because you're worried about Klaus?" I inquire laying back with my arms behind my head.

"Not entirely, just a lot on my mind and…" she pauses again. Biting her lip once again, I glance over to see her rolling it between her teeth.

I know what she's going to say, I tasted the same scent in the air as Klaus did earlier. I taste it now, she's horny. She just seems to be having trouble saying it. So, I roll over and capture her lips before she takes another breath. Her lips part, I feel and hear her breath hitching in her throat, our tongues meet and begin dancing, fighting for dominance. My hands caress down her side and up under her pajama top, squeezing her breast gently, evoking a lovely singing moan from her lips into the kiss.

Deciding she has too many clothes on I slide my hand out and rip her top open. I then rip open her pajama bottoms to get them off, and finally her panties. I get undressed before she's even taken a breath, back on the bed I open her legs and slide between them. Licking her slit open and sliding my tongue in, Clare arches her back, a lovely purring moan is elicited from her cherub lips. My tongue swirls around and brings her to orgasm. She arches her back, writhes, and moans, my name dropping from her lips breathlessly.

"Can I…" I inhale near her thigh, I hear the blood rushing through her veins, I can smell it, "truly taste you?"

I look up, she's biting her lip as she considers, then she nods. I grin and sink my fangs into her thigh, her blood is as sweet as her juices. I force myself to stop drinking after just a couple of gulps, but it's very hard. I pull away and slide into her, she arches her back, gripping my shoulders as I thrust all the way into her. I slide my arms under her back, lifting her up, sitting us both up and her legs wrap around my waist. Her arms link around my neck, our eyes locking before our lips crash together. I bring her to orgasm again, climaxing myself. Her heart is racing, if I keep going, and I very much want to, she might have a heart attack. So, very reluctantly I pull out to let her rest.

"If we keep that up this whole trip I'm going to lose at least ten pounds," she pants as I lie next to her again.

"As long as you don't lose any of your sumptuous curves, but I wouldn't mind keeping that while you're here," I grin. She's still panting, so I run down to get her some water and bring it back to her. Clare drinks the water, rolling over to set the cup on the nightstand, then she stays on her stomach. I roll to my side and begin tracing the curve down her back and over her lovely apple of an ass.

"Why do vampires need an invitation to enter a human home, but not a vampire home?" She questions.

"I'm not sure exactly. Vampires are bound by magic, I suppose that's just one of the restrictions," I reply leaning in and kissing her porcelain skin gently.

"Magic?" She questions like I'm insane for suggesting such a thing. She also rolls over, hiding her lovely backside from me, but now I can see her gorgeous front.

"Yes magic, you're okay with vampires, but magic is too much for you to take in?" I question before trailing open mouth kisses around her right breast.

"No, I'm still grappling with the fact that vampires are real. Now you're telling me there's magic, what like fairies?"

I stop kissing her breast to look up at her with one eyebrow cocked and my mouth twisted. "No, but witches yes, you'll meet one tomorrow, Bonnie's a witch," I tell her and resume kissing her breasts.

"Vampires, magic, witches, anything else real that I don't know about?"

"Tyler's a werewolf," I reply.

"Do they only turn on the full moon?"

"Yes."

"At least, there isn't one while I'm here."

"Then we're not worried about wolf boy," I shrug kissing her flesh some more. My fangs very gently grazing her skin.

"Are you hungry again?"

"I only took a couple of sips before, and you taste divine. I won't drink too much I promise," I grin.

"Just a couple of sips," Clare replies.

My smile grows, I sink my teeth into her breast sipping the lusciously ambrosial blood from her veins.

(CLARE)

I wake late the next morning, a bit heavy and groggy, still naked and still in Damon's bed. I start get up, but I'm sore and I inhale sharply, and suddenly Damon is in the room.

"Sorry, I probably should have realized you'd be sore today," Damon comments.

"I'll be okay after a hot bath, and some coffee, lots of coffee. Where's Stefan? I don't think I want to walk across to my room wrapped in your sheet if Stefan is here. And, you ripped my pajamas last night."

"Sorry, you can buy yourself another pair at the mall today," he says the word mall as if it's a disease or something. "Stefan went to the store with Elena and Jeremy to get you some food. Since we never went yesterday, he's not here but," Damon remarks picking me up in his arms. He does it so fast it's quite surprising and I gasp as my arms go around his neck. "No need for you to walk yet," he says setting me down in the washroom, he moved so fast I didn't even notice.

Damon disappears again, and I start the bath, he returns a moment later with some coffee for me. He leaves, and I spend a long while soaking in the bath, sipping my coffee. I stay in until the water begins to get cold, I do feel better though. After a good breakfast I should be ready for a day at the mall. Wrapping in a towel I go into my room and start getting dressed.

"Elena made you some breakfast, and there's more coffee," Damon's voice from behind me makes me jump.

"Don't do that," I scold him.

"Not like I haven't seen you naked," he grins. Before I can blink he's closed the gap between us, placing a gentle kiss on my breast where he drank from last night.

At the touch of his lips I tremble slightly, a breath hitching in my throat and my eyes closing of their own accord. Before I open them and release the breath Damon has left the room. I finish getting dressed and ready for the day before going downstairs. Stefan and Damon only have coffee, Elena made us fruit and pancakes for breakfast. I thank Elena and Stefan for doing some grocery shopping, and Elena for cooking while I pour myself some more coffee. Over breakfast Elena tells me when we're meeting Bonnie and Caroline, and that she and Jeremy are happy to show me around Mystic falls.

When breakfast is over Damon gives me his credit card, then I leave with Elena to go to the mall. It's pretty small compared to the ones in Toronto, but Mystic Falls is smaller town. Elena and I walk in, we're meeting Caroline and Bonnie at the fountain in the center. I met Caroline yesterday, but Elena introduces me to Bonnie, I smile politely, but in the back of my mind I'm thinking that she's a witch, and Caroline is another vampire. It doesn't last long, as soon as we begin shopping it's just like being at the mall with Jenna and Alli. They help me pick out a few dresses and I take them to the dressing room to try them on.

"Lovely," Klaus' voice behind me forcing a gasp from me as I jump.

"What is it with vampires sneaking up behind me while I'm getting dressed," I scold him in a whisper.

"You promised to spend time with me today," Klaus reminds me as he zips up the dress.

"I did, and I will, right now I'm shopping for a dress to wear to this Christmas Ball. After this Elena and Jeremy are going to show me around," I inform him. It wasn't actually planned, but it is now, I'll just ask Elena as soon as I'm out of the dressing room.

"This evening then, I'll find you," Klaus smiles. He holds my shoulders and looks at me in the mirror. The dress is very light blue, with a grey tone to it, goes to my ankles with a sweetheart neckline. "I think you should find something sexier," Klaus whispers.

"Clare you okay in there?" Caroline calls from the other side of the dressing room door. Klaus opens the door and Caroline looks at him, then me. Klaus grins and puts an arm around each of us.

"The two most alluring girls in all of Mystic Falls. Why don't you both just leave with me now?"

"Because I have a boyfriend," Caroline replies shoving him away. Klaus winks at me and then he's gone.

"Can you unzip this please?" I ask Caroline.

"Not that he can't be a creep, but what was Klaus doing in your dressing room?" Caroline inquires as she steps in and unzips the dress.

"I guess, he's sort of the reason I'm even in Mystic Falls. He found my fanfiction online and c…"

"Oh," Caroline gasps. I look at her face in the mirror to see she looks guilty. "I was reading it, he only found it because of me. You're Madam DeGrassi, I didn't realize...he said he was going to find you, but I didn't know he had. He didn't hurt you, did he?"

"That's a longer story," I reply.

"I'm sorry Clare, I had no idea he found you and…wait did he compel you to come to Mystic Falls for the holidays?"

"No, he…like I said longer story, one I don't want to tell you while I'm trying on dresses. Since you're in here can you zip me up?"

After trying on five dresses I find one that I like, it's ice blue and very soft, with an empire waist. It's a halter, with scoop neckline, the skirt flares out a little and stops at my knees. The skirt and the neckline to the top of the bodice have sort of shimmery silver tulle covering, so the dress looks very wintery. After they assure me that most of the ball is indoors, and Elena says she has shoes I can borrow, I decide to get the dress. I use Damon's credit card, and then we make one more stop so I can get pajamas, but I tell them I forgot mine and not that Damon ripped mine to shreds last night. After shopping we all return to Elena's for lunch. Ric is out, but Jeremy is here and joins us for lunch.

"So, how did Klaus find you?" Caroline asks as we sit down to eat. Bonnie looks confused and Jeremy looks guilty.

"That's partially my fault, he forced me to hack the account. Once he had you picture and the name of your school he took off. I told him not to kill you, at least he didn't," Jeremy says with a smile and Bonnie hits his arm.

"He found the school, and he compelled Owen to come get me. My friends still think Klaus is some Vegas hypnotist. Then he compelled me to go with him, he took me to a hotel room and…this part gets a little hazy because I was compelled to forget later. We made love, and he fed on me," I remark looking at my food while I tell them this. The bites from Damon last night start to burn a little. "He did let me return to school the next morning, and I had to explain where I was. Then Klaus came at lunch, threatened to hurt one of my friends if I didn't go with him, so I did. He got me back after lunch, but came for me after school again, and that's when Damon showed up."

"I told him Klaus was in Toronto for you, I probably should have done that sooner though," Jeremy speaks up.

"Damon found us at the school, everyone was watching me with Klaus. Damon came over and told Klaus it was time to go home. Klaus told Damon to…this part is a little fuzzy too, I know Klaus took me in his car and we sped away, Damon followed. I know Klaus fed from me, too much and Damon had to give me his blood. Then he compelled me to forget vampires were real and told me to call someone to come get me. I called my friend Adam, he said he was on his way. Damon gave me the bracelet, said that it was filled with vervaine, and would keep me from getting compelled. I didn't understand at the time, but the severity of his tone made me listen. He gave me his number and Stefan's and said to call if Klaus ever came back. They were both gone, I was left with a bracelet and vague memories with a lot of holes."

"I take it Klaus didn't leave you alone?" Bonnie queries, though it's really more of a statement.

"He returned at Halloween, showed up at a Halloween party at a teen club near my school. He wanted me to dance with him, I told him no, he saw the bracelet. Having been compelled to forget about vampires I didn't remember why he was dangerous, only that he was. I did remember the…" I pause and bite my lip as I try to think of the right word, "fun we had. We danced to a couple of songs and he left. I should have called Damon right then, but I was still at the party, all my friends were around. And with the holes in my memory, the whole situation was just weird."

"But you did call Damon?" Elena asks.

"Later that night, after having a dream of dancing with Klaus and my feet never touching the floor. I couldn't sleep, felt uneasy and called Damon. I told him about Klaus, he asked if I was still wearing the bracelet and told me to never take it off. Damon called back later when I was in student council with my friends Drew, Adam and Dallas. After that I didn't hear from Klaus until the winter ball at school two nights ago. He must have been watching but didn't approach me until I was alone in a dark hallway. He wanted me to dance with him, I still didn't remember vampires were real, but I knew there were holes in my memories. Klaus revealed himself, barred his fangs and some of the memories came back. It was too much at once, I screamed, passed out, my friends found me. I stayed at Adam's that night, Klaus compelled Adam to let him in and to take my bracelet, but he only kissed me and told Adam to give me the bracelet back. Then he left. I called Damon early the next morning."

"Which is when Stefan came and got us and Ric. Road trip to Toronto, and when we got to Clare's place Klaus was there," Jeremy comments.

"Knowing I would be alone for the holidays Damon invited me back here, so now I'm here."

"In the same town as Klaus," Caroline points out.

"Yeah, I know I kind of came to the eye of the storm. I figured it was better to be here near Damon, Stefan and everyone than alone at my place. Klaus can come into my house, and yes I invited him, I was a little confused after finding out, again, that vampires do exist."

"I think it's good that you're here, much better than spending your holiday alone," Elena grins.

"Yeah, easier for Damon to keep an eye on you," Jeremy nods.

They ask me a few questions about Toronto. I tell them about my friends, a little about Eli and I after Bonnie asks if I have a boyfriend. They tell me guarded information about Mystic Falls, until I tell them that Damon already told me Bonnie's a witch, Caroline's a vampire and Tyler's a werewolf. Then they start telling me everything.

We stay at Elena's a couple of hours, then Caroline leaves to meet Tyler. Ric is still out, so Elena, Jeremy and Bonnie decide to show me around. Wrapping in our coats we walk to the park and downtown, they tell me things about various places as we walk past them. We end the tour at The Grill just in time for dinner.

"You okay? You seem distracted," Jeremy comments when Elena and Bonnie go to the washroom.

"Just thinking I guess, it's a lot to take in, I think a lot of it hasn't really hit me yet."

"I know how you feel, learning about all this supernatural stuff, and all in my hometown, and we're in the middle of all of it. Elena's a doppelganger, my girlfriends a witch, Elena's boyfriend and his brother are vampires. It kind of runs in the family I guess, my ancestors hunted vampires, and this ring," Jeremy says lifting his hand, "will keep me from dying if anything supernatural tries to kill me. It's saved me before, Damon killed me."

"Why?"

"I don't know being a jerk like he normally is," Jeremy says. I bite my lip and look away. "He's usually a jerk, he does have good points. When he first came to town he was just a massive arrogant ass, seemed to be just evil, he's done a lot of good, protecting you for instance."

"He has been good to me, I'm still not entirely sure why he cares so much. Or why I let him get close when I was already unsure about Klaus. I was questioning my involvement with one vampire, now I'm caught between two."

"You can ask Elena about that one," Jeremy comments.

"Stefan and Damon?"

"Yeah, because she looks like Katherine, at least that was it at first. I think that's changed, but she's in love with Stefan and Damon supposedly loves her."

I see Elena and Bonnie coming back so I don't respond. We order dinner, Matt is our waiter again, he smiles at us and takes our order. Ric comes in while we're eating, he waves to us and then sits at the bar. Damon comes in too, looks at us and sits at the bar with Ric.

"Anyone want to play pool?" I ask after we've eaten dinner.

"Yeah, I'll play," Jeremy nods. We get up and walk to a free pool table. "You were pretty quiet at dinner, still thinking?" Jeremy asks as he racks up the balls.

"There's a lot to think about. It doesn't seem real sometimes, how did you first handle it when you found out about vampires?"

"I mostly found out on my own, Elena had Damon and Stefan take my memories every time something happened. She thought she was protecting me, she made it worse in some ways. You first," Jeremy says when the balls are lined up. I calculate my shot, break and sink two balls. "You're good at this."

"It's all geometry," I grin.

"Yeah, I hate math."

"I can relate you know," I comment after he's made a shot, "an older sister, family that tries to protect you and is really just making it all worse. My sister Darcy, she's three years older than me, was raped on a school ski trip. She was drugged, didn't remember and thought she'd had sex with her boyfriend. Things started coming back I guess, she started breaking down, even tried to commit suicide. No one would tell me what was going on, they just kept saying it was "Okay", even though I knew it wasn't. I know they were trying to protect me, it just made it all worse."

"Yeah, exactly. I think Elena thought if she didn't tell me then I would never notice, be ignorant like most of the town is to the supernatural here. She's dating a vampire, we're in the middle of it, and knowing she was trying to hide it made me feel like she didn't trust me."

"Yeah," I nod taking another shot, "and like I was too young to help or do anything. I felt more helpless, and outcast in a way."

"So, where is your sister?" Jeremy asks taking his shot.

"Right now, somewhere in India, she's working as a missionary, making amends in a way. I guess she likes the work, and everything. I haven't seen her in three years, most of the time I hardly feel like I have a sister."

"That sucks."

"Yeah, I mean I have Jake now, my stepbrother, and after we settled into being stepsiblings and not dating he's been a pretty good brother."

"You dated your stepbrother?" Jeremy laughs. He's not loud, but I see Damon look over from the bar.

"Another long story," I reply making my winning shot. I hear my phone ringing and go to the table to get it from my purse. "It's Adam," I tell them and put on my coat, knowing Damon can me hear me I'd rather talk to Adam outside. "Hi Adam."

"Hey, just calling to make sure you aren't dying of loneliness. Drew, B and I could drive down from Hamilton to come get you," Adam offers.

"That's sweet, but I'd still feel out of place. Anyway, I'm not in Toronto."

"Then where are you?"

"Damon invited me to spend the holidays with him and his brother. I'm staying with them, so I'm not alone."

"You wouldn't come spend the holidays with your best friend, but you went with strangers?"

"Damon and Stefan aren't strangers; besides they don't really do anything for the holidays, so I don't feel like I'm crashing."

"When did Damon invite you?"

"He was at my house when you called the other day, with his brother and his brother's girlfriend, her brother and their friend…and Klaus. Damon thought it would be better if I was here for the holidays than home alone."

"You mean with Klaus out there?"

"Yeah, kind of. He may have also invited me because we'd just had sex on my mom's car," I admit.

"You what?!"

"Yeah, I know it just kind of happened."

"And now you're staying with him, how old is Damon?"

"Umm, not sure really. He looks like he's in his early twenties," I reply. I don't know what else to say, I certainly can't tell Adam that Damon is over a century old.

"And Klaus?"

"Umm, a couple years older than Damon I guess," I respond. A couple years, a few centuries.

"You sure you're okay? This all sounds…not like you."

"I'm okay Adam, really. It's not like I'm spending all my time with Damon and Klaus. I haven't spent any time with Klaus, yet. I spent all day with Elena and her friends, and her brother Jeremy."

"Just be careful okay? I'll call you tomorrow, and if you don't answer I'm coming to find you."

"Say hi to Drew, Bianca and your parents. Goodnight Adam." Adam says goodnight and I put my phone back in my purse. Turning around and nearly bumping into Klaus' chest. "What did I tell you about doing that," I censure him.

"Your friend is worried," he remarks.

"Yes, with good reason. I don't normally go running off with strange men."

"I should hope not, I'd have to kill them if you did," Klaus replies. I laugh nervously, but I'm honestly not sure if he's joking or he's serious. "Let's go back to my place, you did say you would spend time with me," Klaus reminds me offering me his arm.

Suddenly, the door to The Grill opens, Damon and Jeremy come out, neither has a coat, though I don't think Damon needs one.

"You alright Clare?" Jeremy asks.

"You don't have to go with him," Damon remarks and Klaus growls.

"I'm okay, and I did promise to spend time with him. I'll call you if I need you," I tell Damon.

I link my arm with Klaus and we walk down to his car, I see Jeremy and Damon still outside the grill. Klaus opens the door for me, then goes around to the driver's side. As we begin driving to his place I wonder if I made the right decision.

The next update for this story will pick up from pretty much here and possibly include the ball at the Lockwoods.
