Reconciliation
Although Prixin was a three day event this first day went on well into the night, with the crew enjoying the late evening sunset together, whilst helping the formerly lost children to feel part of the Voyager family, as they exchanged news and events in their lives, with each other. Neelix revealed that he and Dexa were now married and hoped to extend their little family soon. Brax strangely just grinned as if that particular news was not new to him. There was one person who wasn't sharing much news or experiences; in fact he was having to field questions away from that thorny subject. All he did say was that he'd enjoyed his anonymity and had had fun with the persons he shared that time with, but he was grateful to be back with this family and catch up with all their personal news. Something FNN hadn't enlightened him about. He knew what had befallen Seven, Icheb and the Doctor, but not the why, and the three former internees had no ideas about the matter either.
Later in a quiet area just on the edge of the partying crew, Seven asked if she could talk with him at some point, hopefully very soon as there were some matters that she felt needed to be reconciled between them. Chakotay quietly agreed.
"I believe Tom and B'Elanna have invited you to stay with them," her voice tentative as if testing out whether she'd got her facts straight.
"That's right," he acknowledged. "But I feel we should meet on more neutral ground," he added equally tentatively.
"Where do you suggest?" getting straight to the point.
"Is there somewhere you would feel comfortable?" he asked quietly. "Think about it, Seven," giving her a smile.
"Understood," she said nodding her head in acceptance and left to re-join Icheb and the Doctor.
"Chakotay?" questioned a female voice he knew well, perhaps too well, he thought. She'd not left his side, since he'd joined the party.
"Kathryn?" he responded with the same questioning tone. "Perhaps you and I need to do the same. Talk," he clarified to her puzzled expression. "I'll call you," he said gently. "B'Elanna!" He called and left to join his friend and her husband. On passing Ayala though, he spoke quietly to the Hispanic male and looked in Janeway's direction. The other dark head nodded his comprehension and walked over to the red headed woman and quietly offered her his arm. Smiling, she accepted and allowed him to lead her back into the main melee. Of Chakotay there was no sign or of the Paris' either.

The next morning as the Paris household was getting ready for the second day of Prixin, something unexpected happened. It was just after B'Elanna had given Miral to the seated Chakotay so he could give her a second feed that he disappeared in a transporter beam.
"DAD!" Paris called, having seen their friend and his young daughter vanish before his eyes, holding the feeding bottle that he'd collected from the kitchen.
"Security has been breached!" Paris senior said from his study, checking the computer to see if they could discover where the two persons had been taken. B'Elanna just stood stock still, her eyes fixed on where her friend had been only a moment ago. "I'll kill them!" she muttered under her breath, her Klingon temper rage building at the invasion of her home and the abduction of her daughter and friend. "I'll kill them!" she affirmed her voice growing stronger with her conviction. Tom said nothing, standing there unmoving, because at this stage they had no idea who had taken him or why. But he knew his wife, thus he stepped warily up closer, seeing her rage was now shaking her small frame, hands in tight fists. "I'll kill them!" her voice quiet, the words spoken in true Klingon.
They heard his father swear and a loud thump followed; that had the pair walking quickly to the man's study.
"Dad?" Tom questioned, as the male again thumped the unresponsive computer interface on his desk.
"This 'thing' has locked me out. I can't contact Starfleet or anyone," he growled in a good imitation of an angry Klingon, that it caused B'Elanna to smile.
"Let me see," she suggested, her earlier anger hidden from view for now, as concentrating on something she could do, would assist her in not worrying about what she couldn't do, especially as regards her daughter and friend. "I'm going to need my tools," having checked the interface. Tom grinned, handing the feeding bottle to his mother, who'd joined them, to get his wife's equipment. "Whoever did this knew your security clearance codes," she informed them, ignoring the soft curses from her father-in-law. "If we want to communicate with anybody, I'm going to have to jury rig this," looking a question at the Admiral. He just nodded his expression pensive.
"Owen?" his wife asked.
"Someone has breached our security set-up and transported Chakotay and Miral away, to who knows where," his anger and frustration coming through his tone, having moved to his wife's side, allowing his son and daughter-in-law to work. "And we can't contact anyone," he added. Just then the front door chime went, so the elder Paris' went to answer the caller.
"Morning Admiral," greeted the Hispanic male. "Something wrong?" he asked.
"Ayala!" called Tom Paris joining his parents. "Someone has breached security here and abducted Chakotay and Miral, although I don't think they wanted her. B'Elanna is working on the comm. system," he informed quickly. "But we're working deaf, dumb and blind at the moment," he added.
"I get the gang together and we'll do a search. Any guesses where to start?"
"I'd suggest the Admiralty building," said Paris senior. He fished into his pocket and held out a small disc. "Here use this. It's my old style security ID. Go to Nechayev first if not her then Hayes and put them in the picture."
"Thank you, Admiral. Why Miral?" accepting the disc and the instructions.
"Chakotay was going to give her a second feed."
"So she'll be making a lot of noise, then!" he grinned.
"Admiral. I've got through to the Enterprise!" Torres called.
"Be discreet and careful, Ayala. We don't know what these people want with Chakotay," Tom said after his father left. The Hispanic male just nodded his head grimly and left. Mother and son shared a concerned look and returned to the study.

Ayala decided to go first to Janeway, whilst contacting the crew with their unique call sign, 'Leola Root Stew'. Soon he was joined by Darby, Henley, Chell and Gerron, thus they arrived at their former Captain's office and gained entry.
"Ayala!?" questioned, the woman behind her desk surprised at seeing the trio. He soon put her in the picture about the abduction of Chakotay and Miral along with the Paris' security breach. "That isn't good news," she muttered. "Where's Chell and Gerron?" she asked as she knew the former Maquis crew who'd been tutored by Tuvok, tended to stay together.
"Keeping your new aide busy," he informed her.
"My new what?" getting up abruptly from her chair and striding out into the ante office. The new Aide stood to attention on seeing her, halting the blue Bolian's incessant chatter. "Where is Elliott?" she demanded of this Lieutenant.
"He's been transferred, Admiral."
"On whose orders, Lieutenant," standing hands on hips in full command mode, making her former crew smile amused. The emphasis on his rank was not lost on this male.
"I do not know, Admiral," he stammered slightly.
"Well, Lieutenant, I suggest that you do find out who, where and when he was transferred. I shall be in the Fleet Admiral's office," she announced and left with the five following in her wake.
"Yes, Admiral," he sighed sitting down, for she was long gone. For a minute or two he just sat there, deep in thought about all that had been happening with the Voyager crew since they'd arrived back.
First he called Admiral Hayes and explained what had happened.
"Thank you, Lieutenant," the man paused a moment. "I suggest you do as ordered," and cut the call. He looked up at his own Aide. "Damn! I get a call from the Enterprise, about a breach of security at Paris', the abduction of Cmdr. Chakotay and Grand-daughter Miral. Janeway's former Aide has had a transfer that she didn't order. What is going on here?"
"No idea, Sir," his Aide responded. "Sir, I thought, in fact I know Fleet Admiral Nechayev had ordered all Admiralty to leave the Voyagers alone," he said puzzled.
"She had indeed, Lt. Cmdr. I have that memo order right here," picking up the relevant PADD emblazoned with the Fleet Admirals logo. Hayes sighed and stood. "Better go and see Alynna," sighing again, leaving his office.
