Trinity Sayu
Sayu kicked Killer off her and he flew back into a tree. Sayu stood up and dusted herself off and pulled at her hair gently trying to get the leaves out of it. "Jerk, making me look bad in front of Law. Not appreciated!" Sayu glared at the first mate of the Kidd pirates.
Killer stood up and also dusted himself off calmly. "It was important to take you out first. Your bullets would've seriously pissed off Kidd to no end, and then I would have to hear all of it. Having a Captain like him is frustrating at times." Killer stared at his latest opponent. "So who are you? The crew slut? A bit too young if you ask me."
"Ha! As if! Trinity Sayu, first mate and mechanic to the Heart pirates. And you're 'Massacre Soldier' Killer, first mate of the Kidd pirates right?" Sayu kicked her rifle aside and pulled out her twin pistols from her belt.
Killer readied himself in a stance. "You seem well informed, 'Crimson Bullet'. I only got that title a few weeks ago."
"Ah, so you know my title as well. I'm honored!" Sayu blushed at her popularity rising that even the Kidd pirates have heard of her crew. Sayu froze as she remembered she hadn't seen the rest of her crew at the sub with the twins when they came upon them being attacked. "Have you seen the rest of my crew? Looking for two shady people in matching jumpsuits with hats and a cowboy and gothic emo looking fella. Possibly arguing with each other."
"Haven't seen them." Killer looked around the two, noticing that they had fallen quite far from where the enemy ship was. "Didn't think I took you down that hard."
"Huh? What are you talking about? You practically tackled me like a freaking rocket! The wind was knocked from me before I even knew what happened! You're really strong!" Sayu was seriously impressed with Killer's speed and agility. He wasn't the first mate for Kidd for nothing. "So...are we seriously going to fight...or should we just let our Captain's fight it out? I mean regardless of anything that's going to happen, the victor is already guaranteed."
"Of course the victor is already known." Killer nodded his head.
"Obviously it's going to be Law/Kidd." They both spoke at the same time. A few seconds passed as they glared at each other.
"What is going on in that head of yours, Killer? You don't know how bad your Captain is going to get his ass handed to him. Law will inevitably be the winner." Sayu was stumped at how Killer thought that Kidd would win. Kidd was strong, that much was certain when she saw him take two of her bullets and just dig them out with force. She thinks he may have been building a slight tolerance to sea stone, regardless it should've rendered him useless for while but it didn't. But he's not stronger than Law.
Killer chuckled at how innocent this girl thinks. "In the time that I've known Kidd, it's either his way or you die. Kidd will win against your Captain. He'll probably give you his head as a trophy when he takes you to be his whore."
Sayu shot a bullet out towards Killer, who at the last second blocked it with his weapon. "Don't disrespect Law in front of me. And also, don't take me lightly...I'm no pushover. If Kidd wants a whore, go to a brothel." Sayu glared darkly at the masked man then she sighed. "I don't know who would willingly sleep with that awful Captain of yours. I mean, sure he's got some good looks, and I'm stressing the some part, but his attitude is just straight trash."
Killer chuckled. "His attitude is petty, but he's okay in his own way."
The two first mates knew they were at a stalemate on whether they should fight or not. Sayu had already made the first move by firing at Killer, but honestly they were both reluctant to fight. Maybe it was because they could both tell that if they did fight...someone would probably die. It was like they could vaguely sense each other's strength. Sayu might be small, but she makes up for her small size in her agility and speed as did Killer. The same could go for Killer as he was a little on the small size as well.
"...Maybe we should wait? I don't want to fight you unless I'm certain I could beat you." Sayu lowered her guns to her sides and Killer relaxed his stance. "Besides, the future is kinda bright for you and Kidd. I don't wanna ruin it...at least not just yet."
"The future? Trying to be a gypsy?" Killer stared at the red haired girl. Did she know something that he didn't?
"Gypsy? No, of course not. I just read a lot." Sayu smirked at her inside joke. Read a lot of manga, that is. "...Wanna go stop our Captains from killing each other and just call it a day?"
Killer sighed and turned his back on the annoying girl. "Let's just go." Killer walked off into the forest and Sayu skipped happily after the rival first mate.
Penguin
Penguin's arm was fucked up. He's absolutely sure that it's broken in multiple places. But he can't just leave his friends behind with this psycho...but strangely arousing girl. "Kami she's hot..." Even with a broken arm, Penguin's drooling over the one who broke it.
"Get your mind out of the gutter idiot!" Ryu swung his chain towards Bora who was currently grappling with Shachi who was on the defending side of her onslaught. She was good at hand to hand combat.
Grabbing onto Shachi, Bora tossed him at the chain that was heading for her, causing it to wrap around him instead. "This is nothing but a play date for me."
"High low draw!" Haken's razor sharp cards shot out towards Bora, but she rolled out of the way with a few of them cutting off some strands of her hair. "Kurokoto-san, we shouldn't drag this out any longer. I want to get back to the little soldier." Haken charged towards Bora and she raised her fist.
"Come and get me!" Bora clenched a fist and pulled it back and then swung forward just as Haken met her face to face. Haken's body exploded into a mess of cards. "Decoy?!" The cards floated around Bora and the real Haken had actually been hiding behind a tree a few feet a way.
"And you fell for that one, scary lady." Haken smirked and snapped his fingers. "Jackpot!"
The cards floating around Bora exploded. "Ugh!" A wall of smoke clouded Bora's vision as the cards had exploded causing them to cut into her in multiple angles. Bora was covered in scratches and bleeding from them. She ran out of the smoke and straight into a kick from Penguin himself.
"Payback!" Penguin's kicked knocked Bora back towards Shachi, who then grabbed her arm and slugged her back into the smoke causing her to tumble on the ground.
"Ryu, now!" Shachi called out to the cook.
"I got her!" Ryu launched multiple chains out towards the girl and then wrapped around her, holding her in place. Ryu closed his hands around his chains and they tightened around Bora.
"This...this is so stupid!" Bora huffed and struggled in the chains holding her. "Release me and I promise to make your deaths quick and painless!"
Haken walked up to Bora and poked her, knowing she couldn't move. "No can do scary lady. You took a direct hit from my jackpot and still stood on fighting. You're quite dangerous." Haken looked over to his crew mates. "You guys okay?"
Penguin held his broken arm and glared at the cowboy. "Do I look okay to you man?! She's freakishly strong! My arm..."
Bora chuckled to herself. "Oh, I'd do more than just break your arm." Bora glared at the ground. "Where the fuck is the Captain and the others?"
Ryu crouched down in front of the fallen girl. "What crew are you with and what are you doing here?" Bora kept her mouth shut. "Not gonna talk, huh?" Ryu stood up and pulled at his chains, dragging the girl behind him. "Let's get back, we're going to have to get that arm of yours fixed, Penguin. We can take her back with us."
Shachi eye's bugged out. "We can't take her back with us! What if she tries to destroy us again with that weird strength of hers?!"
"Idiot. She can't escape my chains. Once you're caught, it's over. Now stop bitching and let's go." Ryu started forward with Bora in tow on the ground.
"Shouldn't we at least carry her? It's not very...gentlemanly to let her be dragged on the dirt." Penguin questioned the others.
Both Haken and Ryu glared at the engineer. "Do you think we care about being a gentleman?" Ryu asked his crew mate. "She's an enemy and will be treated as one. Besides...I haven't seen not one girly bone in this chick's body."
"Fuck you!" Bora cursed the cook.
Haken picked up their bags and followed after Ryu. "Get a move on guys."
Trafalgar Law
"Aiyah!" Bepo swiped a leg towards Kidd's feet, but he moved away and knocked Bepo back with his metal arm.
"Bepo!" Yuki jumped forward and caught Bepo before he could fall over the sub. "You alright?"
"Thanks for catching me, I'm fine though." Bepo brushed himself off and looked up. Bepo choked on his breath. "Get down!" Bepo tackled the twins to the ground just as Kidd launched his attack.
"Go to hell!" Kidd swung his giant metal fist down and it crashed on top of the twins and Bepo.
"Oi!" Law slashed his sword forward and cut down the metal arm laying on top of his subordinates. "Your fight is with me, Eustass! Shambles!" The metal scrapes disappeared off his subordinates replaced with one of the sails of the sub. The metal fell on top of the sub causing the sub to rock from the force. Law looked over to his friends and saw them knocked out cold. "Tch...what a pain." Law turned back to the rival Captain.
"Hehehe...this is the kind of excitement I was looking for! You should get on your knees and grovel!" Kidd held out his arm as metal from the sub floated around him. "Repel!" The metal launched itself at Law.
"Room!" Law readied his nodachi and in a split second swung his blade and cut every single piece of object that was thrown at him. Law knows he's at a disadvantage on his own ship. It's all metal and gives Kidd ample amounts of metal for him to use.
"Captain!" A voice called from the beach and both Law and Kidd turned back to see that it was Law's missing subordinates with a captive. Law smirked as he could see Kidd get upset at what he was seeing.
Kidd gritted his teeth and marched over to the edge of the sub. "What the fuck are you doing, Bora?! I told you to the guard the ship with the others!"
"What the fuck does it look like I'm doing?! Cause I sure as hell ain't picking daisies!" Bora was still struggling in Ryu's chains.
Kidd gripped the railing of the ship with anger. His first mate isn't with him and now one of his best men is captured. "Dammit!"
Law looked down at his crew mates noticing their injured state. "You guys look like you had fun."
"Captainnnnnn...this girl broke my arm with one kick..." Penguin groaned tiredly.
"Nothing to worry about, I'll take care of it. Eustass, we seem to have a situation on hand." Law looked at the red head and saw him glaring darkly at him. Metal started to groan as Kidd raised his hand again.
"As if any of this will stop me from killing all of you!" Kidd's hand sparked as more metal was taken from Law's ship.
"The ship!" Shachi looked over the sub and it looked like it went to hell and back. There were chucks of metal all over the beach and in the ocean by the sub. "Sayu-chan is going to be so upset..."
"Repel!"
Haken jumped towards the ship and waved his hand. "Texas hold'em!" A wall of cards built itself in front of Law and stopped the metal from even getting close to him. "Captain-san, this place looks like a war zone."
"Ah. Our ship has seen better days." Law chuckled at the mayhem surrounding them.
"Where is the little soldier?" Haken looked around saw the twins and Bepo knocked out on the deck but he didn't see his favorite red haired girl.
Law glared at the cowboy. "Worry about the situation at hand, Mr. Haken. Ms. Mechanic can take care of herself."
Just then, Killer appeared by Kidd's side. "Kidd, it's done. We shouldn't fight them anymore. Bora's been captured and Heat and Wire are still in Katharsis. We can continue this next time we meet them."
Law turned his glare to the blonde masked man. "Where is my first mate?"
"Over here!" Sayu called out to Law and he saw here coming out of the forest panting. "He's just so fast. Even faster than that loser we met at that restaurant. You could've at least waited for me, Killer!" Law examined his first mate at first glance. She didn't seem harmed, just a little dirty.
"What are you saying, Killer?! These fuckers need to be taught a lesson!" Kidd scowled at his first mate.
"We're injured. Let's end this, get Bora and go back to the ship. We're too outnumbered here." Killer tried to reason with his Captain.
"Law! We should tend to the others and let this blow over. We'll see them again, I know it. And next time, they can pay for what they did!" Sayu went over to Ryu. "Release her. This is over with, there's really no point in us fighting this battle."
Ryu stared at the shrimp. "We really shouldn't let her go, she's hotheaded and crazy strong."
Bora glared harshly at the cook. "Why don't you follow your orders like the lapdogs you are before I get really mad?"
"Oh, I'm so scared..." Ryu said sarcastically and then retracted his chains back into his sleeves. "Don't make me regret this."
"It'll be fine! Don't worry!" Sayu smiled at the cook and then helped the purple haired girl up. "You okay? I'm sorry they treated you so roughly. No girl should be dragged like that!" Sayu grinned at Bora.
Bora scowled at the Heart pirates and rubbed her sides. Those chains were tight as hell. But Bora wasn't done just like Kidd wasn't either. "...Idiots...who releases their captives?" Bora clenched her fist and it shot out and rammed straight into Sayu's gut.
"Ah!" Sayu was sent flying back a few meters before she rolled and stopped on the ground not moving.
"SAYU!" The heart pirates called for their first mate. Bora's punch had literally sent their first mate flying through the air.
"KARUMI!" A black and silver blur had rushed at Bora. Haken's eyes sparked with red and he grabbed Bora by her neck with his metal hand. "Jackpot." Haken's metal arm exploded into burning and sharp cards and both him and Bora were blown back from the force of the explosion.
Ryu, Shachi and Penguin had rushed after Sayu, seeing as she still wasn't moving. Ryu skidded to his knees in front of the fallen girl. He carefully flipped her over and slightly lifted her top over her stomach. Her stomach was a purplish and yellow color. Bora had put all her strength into that punch, and Ryu grimaced. Sayu was out cold. "Sayu..."
Killer sighed at his ships doctor. She's sadistic and never holds back. Killer grabbed Kidd by his arm and pulled him toward the edge of the ship. "We need to leave."
"Get the fuck off me, Killer!" Kidd shook his arm free from his first mate.
Law appeared before Kidd and pointed his blade at the two with the most dark look anyone has seen on his face. Law hasn't been this upset since Cora-san. "...Get the fuck off my ship." Law held poison on every word he said to Kidd. "Take your subordinates and leave..."
"...Tch...hear this Trafalgar. We'll finish this another time...remember that. Killer, Bora, let's go." Kidd jumped off the sub and towards the forest with Killer following him.
Bora picked herself up from the ground and stared at the cowboy. Haken saw nothing but red as soon as Sayu had hit the ground and attacked the crazy doctor girl with no second thought in mind. That attack of his not only knocked Bora off her feet and cut into her, but he blew his own machine arm off to do it. Sparks and smoke flew from where Haken's metal arm use to be. "Next time I see you and that freak emo...I promise...your death will be bought by my hands..." Bora marched off towards where Kidd and Killer were going. "Captainnnn...I can't wait to fix your wounds." Bora smiled sadistically at her Captain. "Ahhhh...to be moving around inside of you as you bleed...that's the best kind of high you could give me, Captain!"
"Shut the fuck up, Bora! Patch me up and nothing else!"
"Both of you are giving me a headache..." Killer mumbled.
The Heart pirates were still on edge until they couldn't see the Kidd pirates anymore.
Law's hat shadowed his eyes and he sighed. The next time they meet...the Kidd pirates will pay twice as much as they gave their ship...their home. "Listen carefully..." The remaining conscience Heart pirates listened to their Captain. "...We will pay them back. I don't leave debts unsettled. But for now...here are my orders. Shachi, take Penguin on board and to the med bay. Ryu, grab the twins and bring them and Bepo into the med bay as well. Haken carry Ms. Mechanic to the med bay and be careful of her stomach. We can't submerge until the sub is fixed so we're sitting ducks until I can help Sayu."
Two days later...
Trinity Sayu
"Well you know...can't win every battle. Beside's well see them again, no biggie." Sayu spoke to the cowboy that was passing her tools as she worked on the sub. "How are you doing anyway? I tried to fix your arm the best I could."
Haken smiled at Sayu. "It feels better than ever, I think you may have even upgraded it." Haken clenched and unclenched his metal fingers to show her. "It's perfect. At least I'm not Penguin, who has to wait for his arm to heal naturally. I feel for him just a little bit. Only a little though." Haken chuckled as Penguin had been moping around the sub for the past two days.
Sayu smiled sadly as she recalled what Ryu had told her after that Bora chick had knocked her back and out. "Haken...you know I can never be your sister...I mean I can be your friend...but I'll never be able to replace her. You really shouldn't put your life on the line for me like that."
Haken stared at Sayu and then glanced off to the side. "I know that...of course I know that better than anyone. Karumi...was one of a kind and no one can replace her. But it's hard you know, it's hard to sometimes accept...that people won't be coming back. I remember everything about her down to the smallest detail...and I can't help but see her in you."
Sayu tightened a screw and then put her tools down. She looked up at the bright sky and sighed. "When I lost my mother...I kind of felt like the world was just against me. At first I did everything I could to pretend that she would still be at home waiting for me to come back at the end of the day with that perfect smile she always carried. But no matter how much I pretended...how much I imagined...or how much I hoped...deep down, I knew that she could never come back to me. So you know what I tried to do next?" Haken listened to Sayu tell her story. "I tried to forget about her. I tried to forget that she even existed. Because those memories were taking me over and I was drowning. Drowning in pain and it hurt, a lot. I bet you feel like that sometimes, huh?"
"...Yeah. That's how I feel..." Haken muttered. "The memories hurt...and honestly...whenever I look at you...it hurts even more."
"I'm sorry...but I can't be Karumi. But you have Karumi in your heart and memories." Sayu looked over to Haken with a smile. "Those memories are painful, but they're what keeps you going too. And someday, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow or even a year from now, but someday...Haken, you're going to be strong enough to carry those memories and be happy that you have them. I don't want to replace those memories of Karumi with myself so please...try to see me as me and see Karumi as she was in your memories. Kay?"
At that moment it was like Haken could feel a small weight off his shoulders. "I'll do my best little soldier." Haken patted her head.
"Sayu." Law peaked over the edge of the sub to see his mechanic and scientist working on the ship. "To my med bay, now." Law disappeared back into the ship.
Sayu huffed. "He used my name and not his nickname. Must be somewhat serious. Can you finish patching this part up, I'll send Shachi to help you till I get back."
"Loud and clear little soldier." Haken picked up one of her tools and went back to work.
Trafalgar Law
"So...what's up?" Sayu asked Law.
Law was sitting at his desk reading over his notes and twirled around in his chair to look at his first mate. "Sit down." He pointed at the empty bed.
Sayu arched a brow in confusion but did as he said. "Am I in trouble? I haven't even written a letter back to Sanji like you asked. And I haven't been on any trips either!"
Law stared down at his first mate and it was starting to make her sweat nervously. Suddenly Law turned around and pulled out her laptop from his desk and made his way over to her. Just as the first time that she had ever been in his med bay as the patient, he sat on her bed next to her. "Move over."
Sayu pulled up her legs and moved over to the other side of the bed and Law laid down right next to her. He handed her the laptop and she took it without question. "Thank you. But-"
"No talking." Law pointed to the empty space at the head of the bed next to him. "Let's watch some of those anime you always talk about."
Sayu's eyes sparkled and she moved to relax next to Law with the laptop on her lap so they could both see it. Law was being extra generous by letting her get so close to him. "Oh Law! I'm so happy! I've got the perfect anime we can binge watch! This is so exciting!"
"I saw it by the way." Law cut her off.
Sayu was confused and then with horror it clicked. "...The tattoo...you saw that?" Sayu blushed furiously.
Law smirked. "And I must say I'm quite honored to know that you would have my name and jolly roger tattooed on your body before even meeting me. When did you get it done? It looks as if it's been there for a while."
"Urr...when I was thirteen, I went through a phase..." Sayu scratched her cheek embarrassed. "You were kind of the light in my life, every time I watched you or read about you...so I wanted to I guess...show my loyalty to you by getting your name on my body. It's no big deal...a lot of anime freaks get tattoos dedicated to their favorite animes or such. I'm just surprised you didn't see it the first time you operated on me. I mean...it's right there."
"On your ass." Law mentioned and Sayu blushed even harder.
"Well, you know...it was my first tattoo...I didn't want Master Sumiah to see that I was as he put destroying my body with ink. So...I put it in a place he wouldn't see...the only person who saw it was the one who did it." Sayu powered up her laptop and got comfy.
Law wanted to tell his first mate about how he felt when he saw the bruises on her abdomen. But at the same time, Law wasn't going to outright tell her that he got scared. So Law hopes his actions would get across to her better then his words would. It would start with him talking about something that had nothing to do with how he would actually feel at the moment, and then slowly doing actions that comforted the first mate. Law took off his hat and leaned closer to his first mate to get a better look. Sayu blushed but didn't say anything. It was at this moment that something had sparked between the two that neither of them even paid one bit of attention to or even noticed between themselves.
"So what are we watching, Ms. Mechanic?"
"This one is called Shiki. One of my top favorites! It's a psychological thriller with vampires, you'll love it, I promise!"
