It had been a couple of days since the whole toothbrush debacle and Mark had found a place to move into. Sean helped him co-sign the lease and the now all the was left was to move him in. Sean and Mark had both been weighing the pros and cons over in their heads and decided it was probably time for a talk. It was a bad thing that Sean was so easy to snap at Mark. Maybe being together was causing too much stress for him...
Sean sighed as he stared across the room at Mark. Evan had just left and now was the perfect time for them to talk about this. Mark had a feeling he knew what talk was coming and he looked nervously around the room. Sean however, fixed his gaze on the floor and stayed silent. Both boys waited for the other to speak first. Finally, Mark had had enough of the silence.
"If you're going to break up with me will you please just get it over with." Mark frowned over at him, slightly irritated that Sean was taking so long to end it. Sean was taken aback by the abruptness of Mark's words and scrunched up his face in confusion.
"What are you talking about?" Sean asked, his accent heavy with confusion. Mark adjusted himself on Evan's bed, sitting up straight, something he obviously was not.
"Well isn't that why you made Evan leave? You want to break up with me. You've been distant and now you're sealing the deal." Mark made sure not to raise his voice. They had enough arguing and if they were going to end it, Mark wanted to remember the good times. His eyes started to fill with tears as he spoke. "It was fun while it lasted I suppose. I just want you to know that I lov-"
"Stop!" Sean cut him off. "Why are you saying this?" Sean asked, bringing his voice back down to match Mark's volume.
"I can't tell you I love you?" Mark scoffed, looking away from Sean.
"No!" Sean exclaimed. "I mean yes you can, but no that's not what I meant. Mark...I never wanted to break up with you..." Sean reassured him. Mark looked over at him with tear streaked cheeks.
"You didn't?" Mark asked, unsure, as if Sean was playing a cruel joke. Sean shook his head. He walked over and sat next to Mark on Evan's bed.
"No. Of course not. Why would you think that?" Sean asked, genuinely concerned. Mark chuckled awkwardly after finding out his relationship wasn't ending.
"Well you were acting distant lately and you've been so snappy and then you said you wanted to talk and you sent Evan out. I just assumed...if you didn't want to break up, what did you want to talk about?" Mark held Sean's hand. Sean sighed again.
"I was wondering if maybe it was too soon for us to move in together. It's kind of like we're in some kind of romantic novel and our author is too eager to have us together." Sean explained, all while Mark nodded along. "I just think it was working out great how we used to have it and you can still spend nights here or I can still spend nights at your apartment but I think our relationship can only handle that right now." Mark nodded and took Sean's other hand.
"I agree. If that's what you think is best than so do I. Plus, I don't think I'm ready for you to witness how truly gross I am." Mark joked. Sean chuckled. The two of them sat there looking at each other for a second before their lips connected. Sean fell backwards onto the bed and Mark climbed on top of him. After a couple of minutes, the door opened.
"Oh god!" Jonathan screamed out while Evan screamed,
"Not on my bed!" The two boys jumped apart and stared at the boys standing in the doorway covering their eyes. "Why didn't you put a sock on the door if that's what you kicked me out to do?" Evan whined. Sean shook his head.
"We were just kissing. Besides, we didn't plan on it." Sean explained.
"Yeah, well just kiss on your own bed!" Evan scolded, the two boys finally taking their hands off their eyes.
"Don't you guys have your own apartment to just kiss at?" Jonathan asked, eager to have this place to his and Evan's selves.
"Actually, we- Sean was cut off.
"Oh no you're breaking up!" Jonathan cried. "I have to text Craig!" Jonathan pulled out his phone but Mark grabbed it from his hands.
"We're not breaking up." Mark shushed him with his hand. "We're just holding off on moving in together."
"Oh." Jonathan frowned. "That's not juicy." Sean rolled his eyes.
"I'm so sorry that our happy life is sad to you." Sean scoffed.
"Well Septiplier breakup would be a good hashtag." Jonathan explained.
"Septiplier?" Sean asked. Jonathan cleared his throat but Evan butted in.
"Well you see JackSepticEye is your old gamer tag and Markiplier is Mark's so together that would make-"
"Septiplier, got it. Well Septiplier is hashtag winning so boy bye." Sean regretted the words as soon as they left his mouth because everyone immediately started laughing. Sean turned red and sighed. Everything was better now. It was the calm after the storm.
