Mark stretched sleepily and rolled over only to be met with another body. This time however it wasn't a surprise, but a happy realization. Mark rolled over and curled into Sean, who mumbled happily in his sleep. They had been moved in together for a few days now and everything had been going great. They woke up together, and cuddled for hours. They got up and drank their morning coffee together and watched the news. Sean would sit in Mark's laps as he played games on the Xbox. Sean and Mark would do grocery shopping together and plan their days together. They would sit and talk about life together and just spend time together. Their life was a fairytale. In fact it was-
"Surprise bitch, I bet you thought you saw the last of me." A boy smirked outside of Sean and Evan's door. Sean quickly went to slam the door but the guy caught it. "Oh, Seanie baby. That's no way to treat your favorite person. Why don't you invite me in?" The guy peeked his head in the doorway and spotted Mark. His face contorted into a sneer.
"Now's just not a good tim-" Sean was cut off.
"Oh that's why. You're whoring it up with this fat fuck!" Mark pulled Sean behind him and shoved the guy backwards and out of the doorway.
"Now I don't know who you are but I'm going to kindly ask you to leave." Mark growled out.
"I'm his fucking boyfriend, bitch!" The guy snapped back. Mark was taken aback by that answer so he did something completely out of character. He balled up his fist and swung. His fist collided with the guy's face and he stumbled back. Mark slammed the door and locked it. Mark and Sean stood in silence for a few moments before Sean spoke.
"He's not my boyfriend." Sean clarified. Mark breathed a sigh of relief.
"I had a feeling." The two of them stayed standing there in silence before Sean cleared his throat and spoke again.
"He's my ex boyfriend." Sean bit his lip and Mark's eyes got wide.
"O-Oh..." Mark stammered out. He rocked back and forth and settled on. "W-Why...?" He was obviously confused as to why Sean would chose someone like that.
"Why is he my ex or why was he my boyfriend?" Sean asked for clarification.
"Both I guess." Mark offered up. He wanted to know more about this rude guy that just burst into their life. He seemed to be very controlling over Sean and Mark didn't like that. Nobody should control Sean. He should be free to be his own person and spread his wings.
"I guess I should start with why I dated him then. I was in a relationship with a girl in high school when I thought that I was bi. I knew from a young age that I liked guys but I still liked girls so I thought it was only fair to tell my girlfriend that I was bi. Well I'm not I'm pansexual but back then I didn't know what that was. Anyways, she flipped out and accused me of cheating on her. She told me that if I was bi I would always have wandering eyes and she broke up with me. Well, I found this support group for LGBT+ teens around my town and I decided to go. That's where I met Chris. At first he was nice and he made me feel validated but quickly throughout the relationship he started acting just like the girl. He questioned where I was going, who I was with, what I was doing. He would get really aggressive when I told him because he either didn't believe me or didn't like my answer. We ended up dating for like two years on and off because every time I got the courage to leave him he would do something to win me back. Then he would go around and call me names and tell me I'm worthless and accuse me of cheating and tell me how much better his ex was." Sean hadn't realized but he had started crying when he was telling the story. Mark wrapped his arms around Sean in a comforting hug. Sean sniffled.
"I won't let him hurt you anymore. You're with me now and that means it's my job to protect you with all my heart." Mark told Sean and Sean hugged him tighter.
"I just let it all get to my head that I wasn't good enough and I was never going to be good enough for so long that I started to feel it in my soul." Sean cried, Tears dripped slowly down his cheeks, staining his face.
"Well I'm here to tell you that you're more than good enough. In fact, you're too good for me. I'm surprised you even said yes to a date with a lowly barista like me." Mark laughed and wiped away his tears, streaking them across his cheek.
"And I'm so glad I did. You make me so happy Mark." Sean hiccuped through his happy tears. Sean leaned in and closed the distance between them. The two shared a chaste kiss. A jingle of the door knob followed by a knock on the door broke them apart. Sean jumped backwards. "It's him..." Mark rolled up his sleeves and stormed over to the door and unlocked it before he swung it open.
"What the fuck do you wan-" Mark yelled out but stopped himself when he realized who it was. Evan and Jonathan held their hands up in defense.
"Woah, woah!" Evan's eyes widened.
"What did we do?" Jonathan whined.
"Sorry Jonathan. Sorry Evan. I thought you were someone else..." Mark smiled sheepishly and let them boys inside. But hey, you're here now and we have great news." Jonathan and Evan shuffled into the room and sat down on Evan's bed.
"Okay, we'll bite." Evan crossed his arms over his chest.
"This better not be a pregnancy announcement." Jonathan teased.
"What the hell, how would we even- You know what nevermind just listen." Sean sputtered out.
"We." Mark started.
"Are." Sean continued."
"Oh no don't do this shit." Evan moaned and dropped his head into his hands.
"Movingintogether" Mark jumbled out.
"What?" Jonathan asked and quirked his eyebrow up.
"Moving in together!" Sean clarified and jumped up happily. Jonathan and Evan shared a look then turned back to the happy couple.
"That's what you said last time and look what happened." Evan pointed out.
"It's different this time." Sean reassured them.
"Okay... in that case. We're happy for you." Evan offered up a smile to the boys. Jonathan grinned happily too.
"Aww my OTP!" He rushed at the two and wrapped them in a bear hug. "Get over here Evan!" Jonathan called out and Evan did what he was told. The two squeezed the couple who groaned in pain.
"Okay, Okay!" Sean groaned. "We love you too!" The boys rejoiced knowing everything was working out in the end. Sadly, not everything would remain happy because Chris was still out there planning to ruin their happiness at this current moment.
