I woke up hearing a ringing noise and realized I must have fallen asleep, picking up my phone I looked at the caller I.D 'Clive' my eyes widened when I saw what time it was, I was definitely late and in trouble.

Answering the phone I grimaced wondering if I would get chewed out for being late "Hey Clive sorry I'm late..." I rushed out whilst putting on my works clothes, knowing he wouldn't be that mad at me but I knew I shouldn't push my luck by being extra late.

"Don't worry Katherine I heard what happened to your friend on the news," he said as my stomach dropped, I had forgotten about Casey being murdered again.

"I'm sorry but I can't give you time off Kat so just get here when you get here. See you soon kiddo" I flipped my phone closed and grabbed my converse whilst running down the stairs.

Sitting on the bottom of the stairs I tied my shoes quickly as I saw Sidney storming towards me "Why didn't you wake me?" I shouted to her as she passed me and opened the front door with the phone to her ear looking pissed.

I raised my eyebrow when she stuck her finger up her nose "Good try, Randy. Tell Tatum to hurry Bye now" I rolled my eyes randy could be such an idiot sometimes "What's going on?" I questioned as I stood ready to grab my bag from the closet.

I saw Sidney freeze and turn to me, I saw the fear in her eyes before anger clouded them "FUCK YOU! YOU CRETIN!" Sidney slammed the door shut and turned looking terrified again when the closet door swung open.

A black figure rams into Sid's side making her crash to the ground screaming in fear as the figure looms above her with a butchers knife "Sidney!" I shout running over and knocking the figure off of my sister "Run!" I yelled at her as I braced myself against the wall.

Sidney jumps up and runs to the stairs as I watch in disbelief "Not the stairs" I call knowing we both always said that we would run for the front door, not run up the stairs but people do weird things in dire situations.

I turn to see the masked figure get up slowly and hesitate when they see me it almost looks like the figure froze as did I, what if this was the person who killed my best friend so callously and now it was here for my sister and me.

"Fucker!" I shouted jumping onto the figure sending us both to the ground of my living room but I had the upper hand and began to deliver angry punches, the figure pushed me off of them with little effort.

Putting my hand on our coffee table I pushed myself back up and took no time in attacking again, I wouldn't go down easy, I will fight to the end. The ghost figure seemed to anticipate my move and caught me in their arms.

Struggling I gasped when the figure threw me away from them towards the table, feeling my head hitting my head the corner of the wood and my back scraping against the smashed glass I let out a small groan.

Everything started to feel fuzzy and the room had begun to spin, trying to push myself up I moaned as I saw the figure looked down at me almost in wonder.

Slumping back to the ground I turned my head to the side watching sadly and helplessly as the figure turned and ran upstairs after Sidney, there was nothing I could do.

Sidney threw everything she could behind her on the stairs to slow the figure down but she turned and saw nothing, it hadn't followed her, hearing a struggle she knew it would be Kat fighting tooth and nail to win and save their lives.

Standing on the landing she heard a crash and groan she held her breath hoping that it wasn't her sister and that Kat had been victorious in her fight with the intruder.

Sidney moved to go back down the stairs when the masked figure appeared she screamed running towards her bedroom where she locks the door shut, then pulls her closet door open, placing the edge right at the doorknob just as the figure jumps against the bedroom door ramming it, something her sister had taught her.

It rips open but the closet door catches it and keeps it from fully opening, Sidney grabs the phone off her desk but it's dead, she lets out a cry trying to think of a way out.

The figure rushes the door several times the frame splinters but won't give. Sidney turns to her computer and punches at the keypad madly.

The knife slashes through the crack in the door wildly and Sidney could feel herself shaking with fright, what if her sister was dead and she did nothing to help her, Sidney was the oldest but somehow it was always Katherine saving her.

As soon as Sidney presses SEND it occurs to her all has gone quiet she turns to see the figure has gone, Sidney had no idea where it had gone but she didn't want to go looking for it. Sidney turns to look at the computer screen when it beeps.

"Stay calm. Police en route."

Suddenly she thinks of Kat again downstairs all on her own, was she dead, had she completely neglected her little sister and taken the easy option of running.

Sidney wasn't a fighter like Kat, she wasn't brave but now she had no choice she walks forward tentatively to her door when a noise at the window makes her jump and whirl around to see Billy climbing through the window "Oh Billy...Please...God..." she said finally breaking down in his arms.

"I heard screaming. The door was locked. Are you okay..." Billy asks her as she trembles in his arms tears running down her face "He's here. He's trying to kill me...Oh god, he got Kat, I think she's gone" she screamed as Billy pulled away with a look of confusion "Kat's here?".

Sidney began to nod when she hears something hit the ground and looks down to their feet to see a compact cellular phone, Sidney stops in her tracks.

Their eyes meet in suspicion "Hey...wait...what's goin..." Billy mumbles softly as he reaches for Sidney's arm but she bolts, Sidney unlocks the bedroom door and tears out of the room with Billy in pursuit.

Sidney runs down the stairs tripping over her feet a couple of times, she doesn't spare a look around for Kat, she can tell by the carnage around that her sister put up a fight but she didn't want to if she had lost it she couldn't bear to lose both her mom and sister.

As she reached the front door she rips the chain off the door, pulls it open, coming face to face with a white, ghostly mask. Sidney lets out a bloodcurdling scream as the person holding the mask screams too.

Sidney sighs in relief falling into the safety of Dewey's arms as she looks outside to see red flashing lights as car after car pulling up to her house, she let out a breath knowing that now she was safe.

"Dewey, Kat's in there... I'm not sure if she's.." Sidney reveals him as Dewey's face paled knowing what she was trying to explain.

Dewey looked over Sidney's shoulder and through the open door seeing the same destruction that Sidney saw, Dewey knew the press would be all over this, Maureen Prescott last year and now Katherine Prescott this year.

"Please Dewey.. she can't be... not her too" Sidney pleaded as she held onto Dewey's police jacket tighter, almost not wanting anyone to go in the house just in case they did confirm that her sister had been murdered too.

Dewey waved his hand behind him and Officers starting running through the house in different directions calling out Kat's name, a paramedic took Sidney's arm and pulled her to the ambulance but she couldn't keep her mind off her little sister who had saved her life, yet again.
