Chapter 28
Lucy woke Levy up from her position next to Keitaro's bed. "Levy, you need to eat something."
"I can't eat. What if whoever has my baby isn't feeding him? They didn't take any of his stuff. Not even his shoes. All he had on was his pajamas. He's probably starving and cold."
"Levy, between the police, Gajeel, and the entire Fairy Tail dorm, Keitaro will be brought home safely. No one will rest until he is found. But starving yourself will not bring him home any faster."
"I am so scared, Lucy. Who would take him? Why would someone take him?"
"I don't know. Levy, the police called. They are setting up a press conference for tomorrow. You have to go on air and talk about Keitaro. Ask people to call with any information."
"Anything to bring my baby back to me."
Finally, Levy ate a little food then took a quick shower. The numbness never went away and now she felt sick. What is no one found him? What if he was gone forever? What if she never saw him again? She couldn't handle never holding him again, never seeing his smile again, never kissing him goodnight again. Levy cried her self to sleep again that night. The police still had no leads. Wendy had slipped into a coma before the police could question her. Gajeel was still out looking. She couldn't help in any way. She had to go on air tomorrow and talk about Keitaro and plead with whoever took him. Fear and anger filled her.

"Mommy!"
Levy looked up from her spot in bed to see Keitaro standing in her doorway. Gajeel stood behind him grinning. She got up as quick as possible, tripping in the process. Before either Gajeel or Keitaro could react, Levy had her son in her arms. Levy hugged him tightly.
"Keitaro! My baby! How? Gajeel, where did you find him?"
"I 'scaped, Mommy! The bad man left me alone and I got away! Then Daddy found me and brung me home."
"I found him running in the street," Gajeel explained.
Levy picked up her son and hugged Gajeel. He saved her baby. Their baby. He was their protector. Their family. Gajeel smiled awkwardly and hugged them tightly.
"Thank you! Gajeel, I love you."
"I love you, too, Shrimp."
"Who wants something to eat? I will make pancakes!"
"Yay! I want some, Mommy!"
Levy was happily making pancakes for her guys in the dorm's kitchen while Keitaro colored. Her heart was finally beating normally again. She wasn't hurting or feeling like a failure. Her baby was home!
"Mommy?"
"Yes, sweetie?"
"Why did you leave me and let the bad man take me away?
"What?" Levy turned around to face her soon.
"You left and then they took me. Did I make you mad?"
Forgetting the pancakes, Levy kneeled in front of her son. "Keitaro, I am so sorry. I didn't know you would be taken away. You did nothing wrong, my little one."
Levy moved his hair with her hand and held his face. She kissed his forehead and pulled him close to her chest. Sorrow filled her again. He had to of been so scared. She ached knowing he thought she let him be taken. Never would she let him go again.
"Mommy will never let anything bad happen to you again baby."

Levy sat up in bed with a gasp. She looked frantically around. Keitaro wasn't there. She let out a sob as the tears began flowing again. It had been just a dream. Her baby was still gone.
