AN: So recently I was rereading a few reviews and decided to reread the story myself as well. I honestly didn't think that this story would get a sequel but after reading both I decided I'd write a sequel to sanctuary. But first there's a few things Id like to address. I've noticed that most reviewers focused on one specific topic and that was the fact that Huey and Jazzy never became a thing. Most of the reviewers feel like I wasted their time and after rereading I can understand why you all were hurt but to my defense it was never my intentions for them to not become a couple. Honestly when I write I have a beginning and an end planned out and everything else in the middle flows out but as the story progressed I realized there was no way Juey would be end game. Honestly Huey was the one who wanted to drop everything with Marleen and get with Jaz but Jazmine in the other hand knew that she would never be the same and she wanted Huey to be happy and not leave what he had. He still saw her as the 10-15 year old she used to be and in this case Marleen is what Jazmine would have been if she never had been raped. Rereading this made me think that if Jazmine's plan had worked she would actually be with Huey. Yes it be still hard for her but I can see her actually going to therapy with the support of her Woodcrest friends and most importantly Chibi. Chibi is what changed it all. What changed the outcome of Juey ever happening. Her death shattered all hope Jazmine had. The girl had been through hell and back but Chibi was there always to put a smile on her face. Chibi was what kept her sane and if it wasn't for Chibi being there I believe Jazmine would have given up trying to escape after her first failed attempt. But Jeremy took her only friend away from her the only hope she had. And that day was the day Jazmine completely lost it and was never in her life going to be the same. She had vowed that she would avenge anyone who has ever been put in that situation. She feels like Jeremy death is not enough to avenge Chibi and heal her. When she killed Jeremy that night she realized it wasn't enough. She wished Jeremy was still alive so she could kill him again and again. When she reunited with Huey and saw Jeremy haunting her it fully clicked that she needed to let the boy go. Don't get me wrong she does love him and still does and same goes for Huey but it will never be the same. Sorry if you guys feel like you wasted your time but after all these factors I couldn't just write a Juey end just because it always needs to end that way. Honestly I feel like both of them did get the closure and moment they both needed and deserved. So with that I'll leave you all to the sequel of Sanctuary. Its up to you guys to read it or not but I will warn you this time my intensions are not Juey. Hopefully this AN changes your perspective of the no Juey but if it doesn't all I can do is apologize that you guys still feel that way. And if you are one of the people who was satisfied by the end then I leave it up to you if you want to embark on this journey again.
I do not own the Boondocks and I hope you all enjoy
Chapter 22
Sequel
It had been seven years since Huey and Marleen got married and since Huey and Jazmine spoke. From time to time Huey would think of the girl and wonder if she ever did get help. He never told Marleen about Jazmine being abused but he did tell her that it was Jazmine doing the killing of those men and some women. All of them were registered sex offenders or had charges pressed against them. The first year Jazmine was the only one doing the killing but after a year or so other people joined as well. Huey was currently watching a documentary about it.
" The flower maidens is what most people call them. They are also know as flower vigilantes. The way to recognize if a murder was committed by one of these flower killers is by their signature. Its always their initials and a signature flower they all leave. The three most notorious are S.A the orchid killer, M.C the peonies killer, and the one that started it all the J.D killer with her signature rose."
"Are you still watching that"
Huey was startled by Marleen.
"Yeah, sorry did I wake you?"
She shook her head.
"No, don't worry. Seven years huh."
Huey sighed "Yeah."
Maeleen knew her Husband had never fully moved on from Jazmine but she also understood that he cherished her as much as he would with Jazmine. Huey told her about that night on the hill with Jazmine and to understanding it was Jazmine who decided to walk away from him. Marleen did not hate the girl, she could never even though she wished she could; it probably make things easier for her.
"Good Morning Mommy and Daddy!" Kira said cheerfully as she walked down the stairs and into the living room. Huey quickly changed the program to something much more positive. Kira flopped on Huey's lap.
"Good morning sunshine, sleep well?" he asked his princess while ruffling her mini afro.
"Yup Yup and I had a nice dream too. I was on a hot air balloon and below me there were birds and lots of clouds."
Marleen smiled, her daughter was such a daddy's girl.
"Oh snap, Kira we need to get ready if we want to make in time to meet aunt Cin and Kavon."
Kira protest.
"I don't want to go! Kavon is mean and always bullies me. I want to stay and watch TV with daddy."
Marleen laughed.
"Come on daddy's girl go get dressed. I promise I'll by you ice cream on the way home."
"Make that an ice cream and chicken strips and I'm in."
Huey laughed his daughter was such a hustler.
Marleen shook her head.
"Fine but come on hurry or we will be late."
The six year old ran to her room as fast as she could. Huey and Marleen both watched their daughter almost trip up the stairs before she disappeared. Marleen waited a few seconds before speaking.
"Do you think you will ever see her again?" She asked referring to Jazmine.
"Honestly its been seven years. Most likely not."
Like stated on the documentary Jazmine was not the only one. There were most likely 20-35 but only three were more known.
"I'm ready!" Kira shouted.
"Ok let me grab my purse and we can go."
"Kira if Kevon keeps being mean you have my permission to hit him." Huey told his daughter.
"Huey!" Marleen said and hit his shoulder.
"We don't condone violence in this house. Kevon is going through the 'girls are icky' stage. He is seven after all." Marleen added.
Kira laughed at her father mouthing the words "hit him."
Not long after Marleen and Kira were gone. Huey took this time to finish watching the documentary.
Jazmine had not been to this godforsaken town in a few years now but the seventh anniversary of her death was approaching and she had decided to pay a visit to her best friend's grave. But first she had to pay a very special homage to the person that put Chibi in her grave and made Jazmine the woman she was today .
"You probably would have liked this you sick bastard." Jazmine said as she peed on his tombstone.
One foot on his grave while the other on the ground. She made sure she wore a dress so it be way easier.
"I've been keeping in just for you, you fucking piece of shit. How's hell treating you, you fucking waste of a human life?"
She read the epitaph on his grave.
Here lies Jeremy Alliston.
March 9, 1954- February 29, 2016
He was beloved by all and will be missed.
"Beloved my ass." she said referring to the words engraved on it.
She finished reliving her bladder before spiting on his grave one last time and walking back to her car. Jazmine was glad her beloved friend was buried in a different cemetery. She would have personally dug that bastard up and threw him in a dumpster if that had indeed been the case. The 24 year old drove for fifteen minutes before she reached her destination. Chibi's grave was littered with flowers and manga. Jazmine could tell that her best friend still had people who cared for her deeply and would visit her grave, unlike her.
"Hey Chibi, long time no see. I'm sorry I haven't visited since I was eighteen but I'm here now."
Jazmine placed the flowers she had bought on the girls grave.
"It should have been me to die that night Chibs. Not you. I'm so sorry."
Jazmine felt her cheeks. No tears. She hadn't cried since her encounter with Huey.
"Sometimes I wonder if you can see me. If you did you wouldn't be proud of me. I've killed plenty of sick perverts just like the bastard that put you in this grave."
Jazmine had lost count but she was sure they were over 200.
"I know this makes me sound as sick in the head as he was but I like killing them."
Jazmine laughed.
"Maybe I'm just as sick as that piece of shit was."
The wind blew sending chills trough the young woman's body.
"I've been getting help though."
Jazmine reached into her Lui Vuitton purse and puled out an almost empty orange container.
"See." She said while shaking the pill bottle.
"They proscribed me meds so my fucking crazy self could try to be a bit sane."
She practically had tears in her eyes laughing so much. It took her a minute to recompose herself.
"The good thing about these pills is that I don't gotta see that sick bastard every time I'm changing or just living in general. The bad part is that I don't see you as well."
She sighed.
"I know It's not really you but I miss having you around. But I know you would want me to keep taking these and I will for your sake and also because its a bliss to never see that bastard again even though time to time he haunts my dreams."
"Jazmine is that you?" A familiar voice spoke.
Jazmine looked up.
" how are you?"
The woman knelled down to hug her.
"It's been too long. The real question is how are you?"
Jazmine smiled sadly. This woman was a true angel. Chibi, her daughter, was in a grave because of Jazmine and she still hugged her and showed concern for her.
"I'm doing well. I've been getting help here and there." Jazmine said showing the woman her prescription bottle.
The woman smiled.
"I'm so glad to hear that you know. It would have made Cheyenne very happy knowing you are doing well."
"Yeah." Jazmine simply said.
The woman and her spoke for a few good minutes until Jazmine excused her self. She had gotten a call from Samantha, a nineteen year old who Jazmine had taken under her wing.
Jazmine had many followers but two of them were very special to her. Samantha Anderson and Mia Cerebellum. Samantha story was a bit similar to Jazmine's. The girls parents died when she was twelve and because she had no living relatives she was placed into foster care jumping one place to the other. When she turned seventeen the household they placed her in was one of the worse she had ever been in. For a whole year the girl was pimped out to many customers. After turning eighteen she left and met Jazmine. The girl hated her foster family so much and after learning about Jazmine's story and what she does for a living she decided to join the cult and kill her foster parents for putting her through hell. Making her the orchid killer. Mia story was a bit different. She wasn't like Jazmine or Samantha who both had been pimped out and raped multiple times. In the contrary Mia had never been raped but she watched her sister get raped by three guys when she was at the tender age of ten. Later on in life she was molested by her mother's boyfriend. Mia met Jazmine when she was sixteen and decided to join the cult at the age of eighteen. Making her the peonies killer.
"What's up Sam?"
"Did you hear about the injustice on the news today?"
"Which one? There's so many, you need to be specific."
"This happened a few days ago. A girl took a man to trial for raping her on campus and the man got charged only a moth probation because the judge claimed his reputation would be ruined if he sentenced him more."
Jazmine was fuming. His reputation? What about the young woman he had forever ruined?
"It seems like this happened in your home town too."
Jazmine was surprised a bit.
"What's the bastards name?" She asked.
"Jackson Finister."
Jazmine smiled. It looked like she was going back home after all.
Huey shook his head. He was currently watching the news about the Finister Vs. Rowan case and he had to admit he was pretty disappointed. The girl on TV was crying while reporters tried to interview her as she walked out the court house. There were plenty of people, mostly females rioting on the steps of the court house and Huey did not blame them. They live in a society where woman are still second class citizens. We have came far but woman are still treated as such. Its the same with minority groups. Racism still exist even in 2022. A woman began to speak while the victim cried on her shoulder.
"I can't believe this is how it turned out. That monster deserves 20 years in jail. This is not the first time he has had rape charges pressed against him. Many woman have been assaulted by him and many have spoken up. Ms. Rowan deserves justice and if the government can't help then I know a group that will. Sleep with one eye open mother******"
Huey turned off the TV just in time. Marleen was back with their daughter in hand. The six year old was currently enjoying her ice cream. Marleen walked up to Huey and whispered.
"Did you hear about-"
"Jackson? Yeah I just watched the case."
Marleen was furious just thinking about how he got away. She could have been one of the girls that day coming forward for what he did to her a few years ago. But unlike those girls she had Huey who protected her from his clutch. She hated their society. She looked at Kira who was eating her chicken strips at the kitchen table. She prays each night that her daughter never has to go through what she almost had and what she expects Jazmine has. Believe it or not but Marleen was thankful for the group Jazmine started even though she would never admit that to her husband. She looked over at Huey and he too was looking at Kira in concern. Marleen placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"She has us and her family to protect her."
Huey nodded.
"Yeah you're right."
Jazmine had driven for a while but she had finally reached her destination. She had brought Mia and Samantha along with her. She realized Jackson would not be an easy target. He was currently under protective watch but she believes her and the girls could handle this they just needed to be patient.
"So are you planing on seeing him during this visit?" Samantha asked.
"Sam you can't just ask that. But seriously are you?" Mia joined.
Jazmine pulled up to the motel they would be currently occupying for a couple of days.
"No." she simply said before taking the keys out the engine and getting out of the car.
"What, why?" Both girls said simultaneously.
Jazmine grabbed her bag, the girls following suit.
"Because he and I already had our closure." She simply said before heading to check in.
The girls both looked at each other before following their mentor.
Jazmine had set up an investigation board. The girls were currently trying to figure out how they would infiltrate into his home with out being seen by the police and which one of them would be given him the final blow. Samantha and Mia knew that Jazmine was finally ready to get out of the cult and they respected that unlike some of the other members. The girl was finally getting help because of the two females who were siting on the bed. Jazmine claims that she could never leave and that the world needed her. She feared that if she left the group would disband and woman like her would never get the justice that they deserved. Mia and Samantha view Jazmine like an older sister and sometimes even mother. If it wasn't for her they would be lost. They were grateful of the life they lived but they knew that Jazmine was the one that suffered the hardest in the whole cult. Don't get them wrong plenty of women and some men in the cult went through pretty rough things but none of them went through what their leader has. To them Jazmine was an inspiration and to them they worshiped her. That's why Jazmine feared to leave but Mia and Sam had a point. This life was starting to get stressful. It was time shed move on and fully try to recover for Chibi's and her sake. But it wouldn't be easy.
"Mia I think you should do the killing while Jazmine and I-"
"No I'll do it."
Both girls looked at their mentor.
"But you said the last one was your last kill." Mia stated.
"We just needed you to help us make a plan." Sam added.
"I know but this kill is going to be a bit harder and I really really want to do it."
There it was. Her eyes shimmered at the though of ending this mans life. The thrill she would have. Both girls stared at each other. The Rose killer has awaken.
AN: So when I wrote the AN at the top my intensions were for this to be one chapter but now it seams like this will be a 2 parter maybe even 3. See I told you all once I start writing I just write. Likr I stated Juey is not my intensions but honestly who knows anymore. I sure don't.
