AN: I'm sorry it took this long but I'm back baby. There's a longer AN at the bottom but before I conclude this one I want to state I made a mistake. Jazmine is not 24 she's 28. I did not do the math correctly, I'm sorry. This means everyone in her age group is 28. Sorry again.
For obvious reasons I want to warn everyone. Mentions of Rape bellow. Viewer discretion is advised.

Chapter 23
Marleen could hardly sleep. She tried to get some shut eye but it was futile. Her brain was racing with all kinds of thoughts, most specifically on Jackson Finister's case and Jazmine. The Finister case was truly injustice, she couldn't imagine how the woman he molested and raped must feel. Although that could have been answered if Jackson would have succeeded that day in his car. Marleen looked over to her sleeping husband. She smiled sadly. She was grateful to have him in her life, he was and still is her rock and protector; but she truly knows who has full custody of his heart. Marleen stood up and walked to her daughter's room. She watched the little girl sleep while clutching her pink fluffy bunny. Mr. Bun-Bun as she called him. She kissed the little girl and gently tucked her in. As she walked out of Kira's room and headed towards the stairs she noticed the semi-huge wedding picture of her and Huey. That was the happiest day of her life, well it had been until she learned that she could have lost Huey for good. He had told her the whole truth of what happened between him and Jazmine a few days after they got married. The part that saddens her till this day is the fact that Huey was not the one that made the choice, it was all Jazmine. If it hadn't been for her she wouldn't be married to the love of her life. Hell if it hadn't been for her she would have never had a chance to date the love of her life. Marleen really owed everything to Jazmine and as much as she wanted, trust me she really did, she could never hate the girl. But Huey was a different case. She loved the man with all her heart and soul. He had done so much for her and together they had birthed a beautiful and wonderful daughter. But, as much as she hated to admit it, there was a part of her that hated the man as well. He had made the choice. She recalled his statement to her the day he had met Jazmine. "I realize I truly love you. I couldn't walk away from you not after everything." That truly was some major BS. Marleen was just a sloppy second. She had always been since the first encounter with the man. She was Jazmine two point o and nothing more. Her life belonged to the girl. This could have been all hers, no, it was all meant for her. But she went through some shit, and from the likes of the whole cult thing it was some traumatic shit. Marleen wanted to ask Huey the exact details but she always chickened out. Mostly because she knew that Jazmine was a forbidden topic between her husband and her. Not saying they never spoke about the woman. They just tried to avoid the topic the best they could out of respect for the other. The past few days have been exceptions, especially with the Finister trial that just ensued. Another reason she never asked him was because she did not want him thinking of the woman. The least he thought of Jazmine the more he thought of her. She knew it was selfish thinking, but she really was jealous of the woman who owns her husband's heart. Marleen walked into the kitchen to pour a glass of water.
"What are you doing up at this time?"
"Sorry, did I wake you?"
"No," Huey shook his head "I got up to use the bathroom and noticed you were gone."
Marleen looked at her husband and smiled gently.
"I'll come back to bed soon, I was a bit thirsty."
Huey paused. He had lived with the woman for years and he damn sure knew when something was troubling her.
"Ok, spit it out, what's wrong? I know there's something troubling you."
"I'm fine, really I'm just thirsty and tired."
Huey had also learned that "I'm fine" translates to "I'm really not fine, please listen to my issues".
"Mar, seriously, you can't hide things from me. You know that! Now tell me what's wrong."
Marleen looked at her cup, she refused to look at her husband. She knew if she did she would truly tell him everything she has been thinking about so far. He couldn't know.
Huey sighed.
"Fine, but please talk to me if you need me. I'm here for you."
Marleen's smile saddened even more.
"Thank you baby, but I'm fine. Please go back to bed now. I'll be up in a few."
Huey nodded and left the room.
Marleen waited a few minutes before bursting into tears.
Sam and Mia waited patiently for their mentor to return home. She was out scoping the area for any details they may have missed during their planning to eliminate Jackson finister.
"I sincerely don't think she should be the one to kill him" The orchid killer stated.
"I agree but we cant deny the spark of bliss in her eyes when she mentioned to kill the man. Maybe this truly is her calling in life." The peonies killer said.
"Mia! Are you fucking serious? Her calling? What the hell is wrong with you? Jazmine was never meant for this life. This is not her destiny."
"But we were made for this right? Sam, there's some fucked up people in this world and unfortunately we are a small percentage of those people. Jazmine has been through some major shit and quiet honestly I've never seen her smile truly until she kills one of those filthy ass bastards. All I'm saying is if this is what motivates her and sparks her joy, she should continue and not retire. Besides we are growing in numbers. We mot only reside in different states but also countries. We are what this world needs."
Sam looked at Mia in pure disgust.
"I don't agree, and quiet honestly I'm only here because Jazmine is. I don't want to leave her during this time."
"What ever, but I support Jazmine if she decides to stay. She is my mentor and I owe her my life."
"One thing I can finally agree with, sister."
Jazmine walked in at that very moment.
"What are you two yapping on about?"
"Nothing, just a small quarrel, but things are fine now." Sam said and Mia nodded in agreement.
Jazmine shook it off.
"There's police everywhere, just as we expected." She placed a few blueprints on the table.
"This is the outine of the house. If my deductions are correct, Jackson sleeps in this room over here." Jazmine said as she circled the room.
"This is the best room to keep watch of him and, luckily for us, the best room to kill him in."
"How so?" both Mia and Sam asked.
"See this?" Jazmine pointed to a square looking opening on the ceiling of the room.
"This right her is a sunroof. And do you see this bellow? This is a vent that leads from the inside to the backyard. They are going to be so preoccupied with the roof that they won't expect an attack from here."
Both the girls smiled, their mentor was smart as hell.
"Are you sure you want to do this? I still believe Mia can handle this." Sam said with concern.
"Yeah, I need to do this for me."
Sam smiled sadly but dropped the issue.
Maybe Mia had a point.
"Girl you need to tell yo man that! How y'all gon grow if you don't mention shit to him?"
"I know Cin but I just can't. Jazmine is sacred to Huey and she is both a blessing and curse on this marriage."
Cindy looked at her best friend with sad eyes. She knew how she felt. It truly hurts to love and loose. She would know. Her and Caesar were no longer together. They would often break up but as of three years ago they stopped sleeping together. She still talks to him, mostly for Kavon's sake. They are not on bad terms but she hates to see new woman at his crib every time she drops her son over.
"I know how it feels girl. Trust me when I say communication is key. Caesar and I often pretended we were fine and after Kavon was born it was hard to keep up the facade. I wish I would have spoken to him more but now it is too late. But not for you Mar."
"Cin it is not late for you either. Caesar still loves you. Why do you think he frequents all those white blond women?"
"Because he clearly has a type."
Marleen rolled her eyes.
"You know that's a damn lie. Remember when we stumbled on his browser history and all we saw was 'thick Jamaican mama' and 'big jumbo ebony titties'?"
Cindy laughed at the memory.
"Yeah, I was mad at him for a whole day."
"See, he misses you. If he had moved on he would have found a real Jamaican mama with jumbo titties."
Cindy eyes glimmered with hope.
"How are you the one fixing my relationship when you truly need it most?"
"I dunno, just good like that."
They laughed simultaneously. Cindy was definitely going to call her baby daddy after Marleen left, but for now she was going to focus on her best friend.
"Daddy, what you watching?"
Kira startled Huey.
"Kira? I thought you went with your mom."
The little girl shook her head.
"No, Kavon is at Uncle Caesar's right now and mommy and aunt Cin are boring."
Kira climbed onto her father's lap.
"Flower maidens? Are they fairies?"
Huey changed the program.
"No, it was just some boring politic documentary."
Kira looked at her father in confusion but the cartoons on TV soon distracted the almost seven year old.
Marleen walked into the living room.
"Hey!" She said cheerily.
"Mommy!" The little girl ran to hug her mother.
"Hey big girl, are you ready for an awesome birthday party?"
Kira's birthday was in a couple of days. It wasn't going to be anything big but Marleen had made sure to invite a few of her classmates (mostly the ones that had mothers she could bare to speak to) and family.
"I got you a treat." Marleen said pointing to the kitchen.
"Treatie! Thanks!" The little girl said with glee as she ran to the kitchen.
"Why didn't you bring her with you?" Huey asked his wife.
"She had rather stayed here with her toys than to have come listen to me and Cin gossip like a couple of lonely housewives. Why? Did she bother you?"
"No, I just... never mind."
Marleen looked at her husband in confusion and then it clicked. He was probably re watching that documentary of Jazmine's cult. She sighed as she walked over to her daughter, now sitting at the kitchen table eating a four count and playing with a surprise toy.
"You spoil her too much. First ice cream and chicken tenders, now chicken nuggets and fries. You're going to make our daughter obese by the age of nine."
"Relax Huey, her birthday is around the corner. I promise after her party we'll go back to your 'fast food once a month' regiment."
Huey watched his daughter eat, she looked so cute. He never thought he would be able to create a being so innocent, but here she was. Every time he looked at Kira he pictured Jazmine. The little girl had also began to style her hair the same way Jazmine used to. That is why he was overly protective of his daughter. He did not want her to loose her innocence like Jazmine had. He refused to immerse her in real issues of the world. Huey knew that by the age of ten he was going to need to explain certain issues to his baby girl, he couldn't prolong it forever. But, for now, he decided it's best for her to not know what truly plagues this country each day. A sweet innocent seven year old had no business being involved in those issues. Another reason he had not had that talk with Kira yet was also because they stayed in a rich suburban neighborhood. He felt that nothing at the moment would in danger her to the point where he would need to talk to his daughter.
"Alrighty baby, clean up and I'll start cooking dinner." Marleen said as she put on her favorite ruffled pink and white apron.
Huey watched his wife chop up some broccoli and carrots. He loved the woman. She was his wife and the mother of his child. She had done so much for him and made him happy, but she was not her. There were only three reasons him and Marleen were still married. The first reason being cause of Kira. Huey wants his baby girl to grow up in a loving house hold. He wants Kira to rely on both him and her mother, especially during hard times. Second, he respected Marleen and she respected him. Their marrige was never loveless and Huey knew this. It just wasn't the kind of love both Marleen and Huey had hoped for. Lastly, the one he hates to admit, Marleen is the closest he'd get to the old Jazmine. The woman even resembled Jazmine in looks. The only difference was the hair color and complexion of the skin. Deep down Huey knew that his wife knew this. That is why he always tried to keep the woman happy. They barley argued, they went on family trips at least three times a year, and he tried to take her out on a date at least twice a month.
"Love, do you want pasta or rice?" Marleen asked, jolting him out of his thoughts.
"Yeah that's fine."
"Um ok? Still did not answer, rice or pasta?"
"Rice, sorry."
Marleen looked at her husband in concern but brushed it off. It probably had something to do with her and Jazmine. In fact she knew exactly when it had to do something with Jazmine. His gaze always seemed distant. As if he was in a different realm.
"So now we have a way of infiltrating this bastards home but there's still the issue of the place being heavily guarded. Sam you're the one that is good at coming up with these kinds of plans. After Sam creates a plan Mia you go over it to see if there are any loop holes or things she missed. I'm pretty tired. I'm going to take a quick shower and go to bed. If you both need me come get me."
Mia and Sam both nodded and watched their mentor disappear into her room for the night. Jazmine wanted nothing more to finally crawl into bed and sleep. But before that she seriously had to wash her hair. For a very long time Jazmine hated looking at her body in the mirror. It disgusted her. Seeing all the scars left on her from that bastard and herself repulsed her. She also used to have panic attacks in the shower. Every drop of water reminded her of his touch. It took years for her to finally look herself in the mirror and not shatter the mirror at the sight of herself. Those pills were clearly helping her a lot. She was glad she was finally seeking help. But even if those pills worked they never worked 100 percent of the time. So when she saw Jeremy's reflection standing behind her own she wasn't surprised.
"I see you'rr becoming comfortable with your repulsive body."
Jazmine ignored him and kept washing her face.
"So now you're ignoring me. You know it's rude to ignore your lover." He said as he rubbed Jazmines arm in a seductive manner.
"Your body used to be so pretty. So sexy. Now look at it. But it's ok" he said leaning into Jazmine's ear "I'd still fuck you-"
"STOP!" Jazmine yelled so loudly that Mia and Sam ran in to check on their mentor.
"Jazmine!?" They both exclaimed in concern.
The woman was on the floor crying and shaking.
"Hey, it's ok." The girls knew that when she was in this state it was best not to touch her. Instead the best thing they could do was talk to her until she calmed down on her own.
"He can't hurt you anymore love. He's 10,000 ft deep in hell right now." Mia said.
"Hey, you're ok. Come on Jazmine breath in and out." Sam said.
They woman began to breath. At first it was fast paced but it eventually became slower and began to relax her.
"See? You're ok." Sam said.
Mia and Sam looked at each other and then looked at their mentor.
"Maybe we should help you wash your hair and keep watch-"
"No. I'm fine. I need you both to work on the Finister case."
"But-"
"I said I'm fine Sam! You and Mia need to go work on the case. I promise I wont have another episode. I'm just running low on my pills that is why that happened."
The girls knew that their mentor was hard headed.
"Alright." Sam said helping the woman off the ground.
Jazmine watched both ladies walk out of the bathroom before she shut off the lights. She figured not being able to see was best for her sanity and safety. It was hard washing her poofy hair in the dark but she managed. Mostly because it was not as long as it had been years ago. The stress had caused most of her hair to fall, so much that Jazmine now wore it in a fluffy bob. She walked out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a long white T-shirt and undies. Her hair was still wet from the shower and she decided it be pointless to dry it. She did not want to wake up the other tenants of the motel. The woman has barely slept for years. She suffers from insomnia. In fact the days she manages to sleep she usually gets 3 to 5 hours before jolting awake from a nightmare. The pills she currently takes do not help her sleep. She used to take sleeping pills but unfortunately her body has gotten used to them that now they don't work like they used to. She lied on the bed regardless. Her eyes were so heavy. But when she closed them she would see him. He was always there. It did not matter if he was 10,000 feet deep in hell, no it did not because he was always a part of Jazmine. No matter how many pills and therapy sessions. Jeremy was and will always be with her. The true problem was that Jazmine could not accept that and move on. She couldn't move on from this life of unnecessary pain. The best thing for her was to move on from the cult and spend the rest of her days in therapy working on the acceptance issue but that was not the life Jazmine planed to purse. Every kill since Kimberly Marth was her supposed last. That had been fifteen kills ago. It's true that Jazmine had lost count of her kills but she never forgot her victims. Not many were female. Out of thirty men there was one female she had killed. The most notorious were Jessica Daily, a elementary school teacher that had set up cameras in the boy's and girl's bathroom and sold the footage to perverted men. Linda Camry, charged of rapping a fourteen year old girl along side her brother. And Marissa Parker, a mother who pimped her own twelve year old daughter to men so she could get high. Out of every kill Jazmine had done. Chris Rune, Kyle King, Berry Dickson. None compared to her favorite. The sloppiest of them all and the one that started it. Jeremy Aliston. He was the one Jazmine would gladly spend the rest of her days killing. The bastard that made her into the monster she is today. The one that took away her innocence. The one that made her clinically insane. The one that took Chibi from her. He took it all from her. He was successful at ruining her. Jazmine was scared of the man still but the person she feared the most was herself. Every time she killed someone she felt a high. It was a rush of euphoria. She hated to admit it but it felt like an orgasm. But a really good orgasm that she wanted to have. Why should she walk away from this. Why stop at Jackson Finister? She then thought of him. The first and only guy she has ever loved. What would Huey think if he saw how murderous she had become. The woman chuckled. She wondered if the ten year old him ever looked at the ten year old her and said 'yup, shes going to become a notorious murderer'. She began to laugh harder and then began to cry. She missed him so much. Maybe she was wrong. If she would have stuck with Huey that last time on the hill she may be better. She surely wouldn't be a murderer and maybe her and him would be happily married with kids. But she chose to let him go. She needed to let him go. She knew that she was broken. Being with the man would be hard on him. Realistically they probably wouldn't work. She probably wouldn't be able to kiss him, let alone make love to him. This saddened the woman. Jeremy had ruined kissing and sex for her. She feared she could never be intimate again, especially if she fell in love again. She turned and looked at the alarm clock on the night stand. It was 4:30 in the morning and she had not slept at all. Two hours of just laying on the bed thinking. Unfortunately it was starting to show. Jazmine had dark circles. She probably hallucinated because of the lack of sleep.
"Jazmine." A familiar soothing voice said.
"You need to sleep. Close your eyes, please."
Jazmine did as the voice said. She felt her head being lifted onto something. It felt like a lap. The person behind the voice began stroking her hair.
"Should I sing to you? My mom used to always sing to me when I could not sleep."
Jazmine hummed in response.
"The voice began to sing in a language she recognized as Japanese. She did not know what the voice was saying but she knew it was Japanese because of all the Anime her best friend used to show her. Jazmine listened intently at the voice. There was a part where her voice projected into other voices, but Jazmine knew there was nobody else in the room but the owner of the voice and herself.
"The name of that song is Dango Daikazoku. Nagisa sang this in Clannad."
The owner of the voice continued to stroke Jazmine's hair as she hummed the tune to Dango Daikazoku.
"You are safe as long as I'm here. He can't hurt you as long as I'm here. Please sleep."
"...Chibi...I-"
Chibi shushed the woman and continue stroking her hair.
"I said sleep."
Jazmine began to drift off until she was quietly snoring peacefully.
Sam smiled. She knew that stroking the woman's hair may help. She had done this method before but it only worked if Jazmine was completely sleep deprived. From what Sam could gather, Chibi was the only friend Jazmine had and the only one that could make her feel safe. She hated using the dead but pretending to be the girl was the only way Jazmine would drift into sleep. She never spoke, except for a few words here and there. She mostly made Jazmine's imagination do the talking. All she had to do was physically be there for the girl. In some ways she was the vessel for Chibi's spirit. Sam watched the woman sleep for a bit until she left the room. Sam left the door ajar just in case Jazmine needed her or Mia. Mia was currently looking over the plan like Jazmine wanted her to.
"This looks pretty good. Can't expect anything less from the orchid killer, can we?" She said chuckling a bit.
"Mia, I can't let her do it."
"Seriously Sam? We already spoke about this."
"Yes, but I know you feel the same way; especially after tonight's performance."
Mia sighed.
"I'll admit that she needs more than our support but it is her choice Sam. There is nothing we can do. Jazmine has to decide on her own which path she takes. We can only hope its the best one for her."
As much as she hated to admit, Mia had a point.
"I really hope she makes the right one."
"I do too Sam. I do too."
AN: I hope this chapter was long enough, especially since you all waited this long. I had plans to continue sooner but life always gets in the way. I graduated with my AA and I'm currently in my 1st year of receiving my bachelors. I'm perusing a major in foreign languages and I plan to teach after I graduate. I believe it is important for others to learn different languages. In fact most young Americans speak only English while youth in other countries speak at least another language other than their own. I'm half Italian and I was lucky because my mom taught me Italian. I'm currently learning french and Japanese and I hope to know at least 3 languages fluently by 2022. I don't know when there will be an update but I promise you all won't need to wait a year again. In fact I'll try to update again within these 3 months. Obviously I still want to know if you all even read this.
