*A/N I do not own this song. *
Jack smiled and told us to relax for a while before the interview. I went back to the sound proof room and sat down onto the floor. I sighed and started to hum. I heard a knock onto the door. I looked up to see Nate standing at the door.
"Are you alright?" Nate asked.
I shrugged and continued to write. Nate sat next to me and I felt eyes on me. Leaned onto his shoulder and sighed. I had so much emotions all held up in me I did not know what to think. I felt tears coming down and Nate just held me in his arms. We sat like this for a few hours. I looked up and him and said,
"I don't know who to trust anymore. Everyone I once thought was my friend or family is gone. I lost my parents and now I lost the one person I thought was my best friend."
"I know how it feels to loss a parent. I lost my mom at a young age. The pain was horrible at first. I thought I was alone and then I meet Caitlyn, Shane and Jason. They were there for me. Showed me that I was not alone. I don't know how it feels to be back stabbed but I think you will see that we are all here for you. Shane, Caitlyn, Jason, and I will be here for you to help you with your problems. I know that there will be things that you talk to Caitlyn or Shane then Jason or me and that is alright." Nate stated to me.
I gave him a hug and then said,
"Nate, I am so glad that I have you guys. You are my true family. I don't consider you as friends but family."
We talked about the song and we worked on some melodies and ways to make the music work with the lyrics. I was excited. We heard a knock on the door and there stood Shane. He gave me this look and I just nodded. It was like we were reading each other's mind.
"What's up Shane?" Nate asked.
"We are here at the studio. They are excited to have us. You are going to like this group." Shane said smiling.
I looked over to Nate and you could see that he was excited as well. We walked out, and I thought to myself. I whispered to Nate and he gave me a look and asked,
"Are you sure?"
I nodded and said,
"I am sure. Just back me up will you."
"Of course. I am so proud of you. You are going to do great. I can't wait." Nate said.
Jason, Caitlyn, and Shane gave me a look. I nodded to Nate and he said,
"Mitchie has decided that she wants to sing tonight if they are aright with it."
Jason ran to me and wrapped me in a huge hug. I couldn't help but laugh. Shane started to question me with all these different types of questions. Caitlyn spoke up and said,
"Jason, put her down. You are going to make her dizzy. Shane, let it be a surprise. I am as excited as you. We are all so proud of you Mitchie. You are going to do great."
"They are ready for you Connect Three." The stage manager said.
We all headed out onto the stage when we heard our name being called. I sat between Jason and Shane. Jason was holding my hand and Randy spoke up and said,
"I was so glad when my producers said you guys were coming on the show today. I was told that there are a few things that you all wanted to clear up."
"Yes, we do Randy, and this is something important. You probably have heard about the rumors going around about my dear sister Mitchie and all the stuff that is being said about her from two girls from her… our home town." Jason started.
"Yes, I wasn't sure if you wanted to talk about that. Mitchie can you comment on anything about what your brother Jason is saying. I don't want to push you or anything." Randy said giving me a warm smile.
"The girls I did know from school. One was known as my best friend and the other girl was the girl that bullied us. Their name is Serria and Ashely. When Jason and the guys took me back to Jason's and mine hometown… I thought it was going to be a fun experience. Having my new friends and brother in our hometown and being with the girl I thought was my best friend. But finding out she was just backstabbing me and talking to the girl that bullied us." I shared.
Randy nodded and then spoke,
"Now, how has this experience changed you?"
"I now know who my true friends are and who to not trust. I was never in the spot light growing up like my brother here. I am learning everything new. So, I now know that being in the fame light that it will change even the normalize person to someone else." I explained.
"Now, Nate told me that you have something to surprise us with Mitchie." Randy asked.
I nodded and said,
"I have a song for you guys. If that is alright with you?"
"Really? We would love to hear it. The stage is all ours." Randy said.
Jason gave me a hug and then I walked over to the side stage and Nate helped me get ready. I took a deep breath. Looked over to my brother and Shane. Shane gave me thumbs up and mouthed 'you got this'.
"Alright this is a brand-new song. Just written today not even like two hours ago. So, I hope you like it. I would like to thank Nate for helping me out with everything mixed in between making music." I said.
They are inside your head
You got a voice that says
You won't get past this one
You won't win your freedom
It's like a constant war
And you want to settle that score
But you're bruised and beaten
And you feel defeated
This goes out to the heaviest heart
[Chorus:]
Oh, to everyone who's hit their limit
It's not over yet
It's not over ye-et
And even when you think you're finished
It's not over yet
It's not over ye-et
Keep on fighting
Out of the dark
Into the light
It's not over
Hope is rising
Never give in
Never give up
It's not over
Yea-et-et, whoa
Yea-et-et, whoa
Oh, game set match
It's time to put it in your past, oh
Feel the winter leavin'
It's redemption season
Long live the young at heart (Here we are)
Cheers to a brand new start (Here we are)
We're revived and breathing
To live a life of freedom
[Chorus:]
Oh, to everyone who's hit their limit
It's not over yet
It's not over ye-et
And even when you think you're finished
It's not over yet
It's not over ye-et
Keep on fighting
Out of the dark
Into the light
It's not over
Hope is rising
Never give in
Never give up
It's not over
Life is a race we run
So run till the race is won
Don't you ever give up (Here we are)
Oh no never give up (Here we are)
Life is a race we run
So run till the race is won
Don't you ever give up (Here we are)
We will never give up (Here we are)
[Chorus:]
Oh, to everyone who's hit their limit
And even when you think you're finished
It's not over yet
Oh, to everyone who's hit their limit
It's not over yet
It's not over ye-et
And even when you think you're finished
It's not over yet
It's not over ye-et
Keep on fighting
Out of the dark
Into the light
It's not over
Hope is rising
Never give in
Never give up
It's not over
Yea-et-et, whoa
Yea-et-et, whoa
Yea-et-et, whoa
Yea-et-et, whoa
"That was amazing. You have such an amazing gift. Was this your first time performing on a stage?" Randy asked.
"Yes, it was." I said quietly.
"Well, thank you for allowing us be your first performance ever. I hope this will not be the last time. You have a gift Miss Mitchie Torres. I hope we will see more of you." Randy said.
Everyone was cheering, and Nate, Jason, and Shane ran over and gave me a group hug. They were proud of me. Jason whispered in my ear and said,
"They would have been proud of you. They were defiantly here."
I nodded and just let the moment sink in. This was a big step for my future. I was excited to see where it all goes.
