At Meredith's Masterpiece, Mavis was working on a painting of an Egyptian woman when Carla, Presley Beth, and Julianna came in with some seahorse food.
"Mavis," said Carla, "I have to ask - why are we getting you get seahorse food? You don't even have sea horses."
"I do now," Mavis answered as she took them to the employee lounge.
By the fridge, they saw three searhorses playing around in a small fish tank. "Those must be the seahorses" guessed Presley Beth.
"I like for you three to meet Jedidiah, Ansley, and Makai," explained Mavis. "I named them after three characters in that pawn shop movie, 'Little House of Trinkets'."
"Is that the one where the pawn shop own made his crazy objects to life and scares away the patrons?" asked Julianna. "We had a classmate who did a movie oral report on it last year in Tennessee."
"That's it," replied Mavis. "But there's only one problem, I'm not very good at taking care of pets. Sometimes, I acidentally give them my painted water instead of clean water."
"When you're an artist, Mom," replied Julianna, "you can get pretty messy."
"Yeah," agreed Presley Beth. "Even us cowgirls know how to get down and dirty."
Carla could remember taking care of a few sea creatures at her families' circus, so she decided to give her a few tips to.

Little did our heroes know was that Crossni was spying on them. "So," she whispered as she got out three McCart bugs, "you wanna let it rain?"
Inside the shop, while Carla, Presley Beth, and Julianna were admiring the little seahorses. Congee, Lo, and Mein started sensing something. "Wéixiǎn! Wéixiǎn! (Danger! Danger!)"
This could only mean one thing - that McCart bugs were here. They tried to capture them, but it was too late; the McCart bugs stung Mavis' new seahorses. Worried that the seahorses would destroy the shop, they quickly took the creatures and tossed them outside. On the ground, they transformed into mutated seahorses. Mavis then gave the three girls hand sanitizer in case mutation germs got on them.
"Thanks, Mavis," Julianna replied. "Always take care of your hands after handling pets."
"That's right," Mavis replied. "Now you gotta stop those monsters before they go all fire hose-y on the patrons of Kansas City."
"What about the others?" Julianna asked.
"Chanel and Vada are taking that cooking class at the rec center on how to make animal shaped cakes, and Saatvika, Danna, and Harley are at that junior gymnastics tournament at Velossi's Stadium," recalled Carla.
"Looks like it's just the three of us for this mission," guessed Presley Beth.

While hopping around town, Dreamheart gave them a vision of one of the sea horses causing trouble in downtown Kansas City. By an art supplies shop, they caught up with the space fox.
"Dreamheart," whispered Mew Mew Peanut Butter, "we already know about the seahorses going crazy. We gotta stop them."
Inside the shop, everyone was running away from the crazy McCart seahorses. The three sea mammals shot out water and ruined the displaying paintings. The trio was petrified by the hard work being destroyed, even getting through the varnish. Combining Congee with the Sprinkle Frisbee distracted the McCart monsters to the exit.
"Magnifico, Carla," complimented Mew Mew Jelly.
"No problema," replied Mew Mew Cupcake.
Looking down on the dirty ground, Mew Mew Peanut Butter could see a book called "Sea Creature Care for Morons." She figured that Mavis could use this book to help her newfound biological mother.
"The book can wait," replied Mew Mew Jelly. "Now we have to go find Mom's new seahorses before Kansas City turns into a surfing contest."
Using his powerful ears, Dreamheart sensed Crossni and the three McCart seahorses by a construction site.

At the construction site, workers were running away from the three psycho seahorses. When Dreamheart and the Mew Mews arrived at the scene of the crime. Mew Mews Peanut Butter and Jelly decided to take care of this. Combining Mein with her Anartia Fans, she made a hologram of a shark that scared the three of them into a mud pit. Then it was time for the final pose.

In a flash, the three seahorses reverted back to their original selves. "Quick!" shouted Mew Mew Peanut Butter as she picked them up. "We got to give Jedidiah, Ansley, and Makai some water!"

Within a few hops, the Mew Mews changed back to normal, kicked off their socks and shoes and placed them in the river. "That was a little out of whack," Carla said, "but it's the best we got."
"Good thing our cellphones are waterproof," informed Julliana. "Plus this is something Ms. Benjamin would do."
"Did someone call my name?" said Ms. Benjamin from behind.
Behind Ms. Benjamin was Mavis, who was concerned about her new pets. "I was getting some supplies for my paper lantern making when I spotted three McCart Monsters causing trouble," explained Ms. Benjamin. "I got her a 'For Morons' book about sea creature care at the book store."
"That explains why would a pet book be at an art supply store," replied Presley Beth. "Plus it smelled a lot like bananas."
One by one, they placed the three seahorses in a plastic bag that Mavis had so they wouldn't escape. "Now that Jedidiah, Ansley, and Makai are back with me," smiled Mavis, "we should get back to my art shop before the Friendly Scouts of Kansas City arrive."

Back at Meredith's Masterpiece, Carla, Presley Beth, and Julliana returned the seahorses to the fish tank and the three seahorses dances with glee because they were back with their new owner. Mavis was happy now that her seahorses are safe and sound.
During the next two hours while they were teaching the Friendly Scouts of Kansas City how to do oceanography painting, Carla, Presley Beth, Julianna and Ms. Benjamin taught Mavis how to take care of her pet.

Later that night, Ms. Benjamin was getting into her pajamas when she decided to check on her seahorses. She went down to the lounge and saw that they were alright. She may not have been able to raise her twin daughters, but she was going to do great with raising three seahorses.
The End.
