Chapter Three — Survivors Of The First Day
"AHHHHH!"
After screaming her head off, Blue punched his chest and quickly got off of him. "Pervert!"
"That's my line!" Green snapped, standing up and grabbing the nearby towel to cover himself. Gold and Red just watched in awkward silence as they saw the brunet's face turn red. "Didn't you hear what we said earlier in the living room, you pesky woman? You're supposed to knock!"
Blue opened her mouth to retort, but the door slammed open and interrupted her. Crystal, Emerald, Silver, and Yellow came rushing into the bathroom.
"What happened? Is everyone okay? Is anyone hurt?!" Yellow spluttered, panicking. The blonde paused when she saw Green half naked in a towel and Blue next to him with a huge blush. She covered her eyes immediately. "I'm too young for this!"
"Actually, you're not..." Red muttered to the twenty year old girl.
Crystal didn't have enough time to process everything, so she just went with what Yellow concluded and shielded Emerald's eyes with her hands. "Sorry for u-um... interrupting," she stammered, blushing madly and averting her eyes from the scene.
"I think I'm going to gag," Blue announced, covering her mouth.
"Woah, woah, woah! Go do it in the kitchen, or somewhere else! I don't want you to puke in our brand new, barely used, spotless bathroom!" Gold told her.
"Actually, you know what's better? Get out!" Green shouted, barely holding onto his sanity.
Red clutched onto his towel, pulling up more. "Yeah, don't take this personally, but I feel really uncomfortable right now and I really want you guys to leave."
"What I really want right now is to take a shower. Yuck, I can feel something squirming in my pants," Gold said, ignoring Green's and Red's pleads.
"First, get out!" Green growled.
"Hey guys!" A shout was heard from behind the crowd of four, and another person entered the restroom. "What was all the— Is there a house meeting in here, or something?"
"Just get out."
"PRISSY BOY!" And another one came in.
Sapphire grabbed Ruby's arm. "We hafta hurry up and head over ta the studio for the photo shoot! So—" Sapphire froze when she saw everyone else in the bathroom. "Why is everyone in here?"
"You know what, I give up," Green grumbled, marching out of the bathroom in his towel. Red followed behind him meekly.
"Where's he going?" Yellow inquired, peeking through her fingers.
Crystal took her hands off of Emerald's eyes. "Well, I would assume he's going to his room."
"Wait, but ya can't go into yer room. The automatic locks are on," Sapphire reminded.
Everyone's sweat dropped. "Well, now we have two half naked guys in our house. How nice," Crystal mumbled sarcastically.
"Hey, if everyone is going to take a shower and we can't go to our rooms to get clothes, then wouldn't everyone be naked in a towel?" Emerald concluded.
"Really? Score!" Gold shouted, earning glares from some people in the room.
"But last time Yellow and I checked, there were only seven towels in the cabinet, and since me and Yellow already used four—" Sapphire stopped talking and froze. If she and Yellow used two each, and Green and Red both had one around their waist, then that would mean that six were used in total.
Everyone turned their head to the opened cabinet. There was only one towel in the bathroom, and eight other people who needed it.
Quickly, Gold dove for the towel, only to get kicked by Crystal, who got pushed by Blue, whose face got covered by Emerald's huge gloved hands. Silver tried to pry the blond off of her (while shouting 'leave her alone' the whole time), and Yellow left the room, deciding that she would use the hose in the backyard to wash off since the situation was getting crazy.
"Think of Rald! Let him use it, or he might catch a cold!" Crystal shouted, yanking the towel.
"I need something to dry that spot!" Gold said.
"Spartan! I need it the most!" Blue shouted.
"Let go!" Emerald demanded, releasing Blue and grabbing onto the towel instead. "Also, who the hell is Spartan?!"
Slowly, the towel started slowly making a tearing sound among the chaos and a few seconds later, the piece of fabric ripped into four small uneven parts. Everyone who was grabbing onto the towel flew back, slamming their backs against the wall or tub. While Silver went to comfort Blue and the others stared at the towel in shock, Ruby and Sapphire stood at the doorway silently.
"... Photo shoot, right?" Ruby asked.
"Yep," Sapphire replied.
"We can take a shower there and get dressed."
Sapphire nodded, agreeing with him for once. "Let's hurry up and go before it gets even uglier."
Even though she was completely covered in gross, icky food, she couldn't help but admire the scenery in the backyard. The director was right about how nice the house was. There was a clear pond filled with different kinds of water pokémon swimming around, and there was a forest area that was rather quite spacious. Yellow made a mental note to fish in the backyard later for fun.
While admiring the forest part of the backyard, she didn't notice the other side of the backyard, nor the people there. The other side had concrete and tiles built into the floor. It had a fairly large pool and was furnished with a nice seating area for ten. Red and Green were swimming in the pool in their boxers, raising eyebrows as to why the blonde was here.
Yellow finally snapped out of her trance and went over to go hose herself thoroughly and wash the food off of herself. Blue interrupted her with her loud entrance and door slam.
"Hey Yellow! We're going to a public bath and spa! Come with us!" she shouted, walking over to her and grabbing her arm.
"Umm... spa? I'm not really a big fan of that kind of stuff," Yellow admitted. It was awkward to be naked around a lot of random strangers for her. "I'd rather clean myself with the hose."
Blue looked at her with a crazy look when she chose a hose over a spa. The brunette averted her gaze from Yellow when she spotted something in the corner of her eye. Immediately, her lips curved into a smirk and she thought she'd have some fun.
"Oh~! I see! You want to take a shower in front of Red! Isn't that right?"
"Wait, what?!" Yellow exclaimed, her face turning red.
Blue answered her question by grabbing her shoulders and turning her around to show her the boys in the pool. Yellow's face flushed in embarrassment.
"I'm in," she squeaked, running inside before she could embarrass herself even more. Blue snickered, laughing at her reaction.
"Ohohoho~! This is way too easy," Blue muttered to herself, giggling.
The two boys looked at their co-star like she was insane (like they always did daily). Blue finally stopped laughing when she noticed their presence. When she looked at Green's face again, she remembered the incident that happened recently and slightly turned pink. Blue got the hose and tossed it into the pool, aiming for Green. Luckily, it missed and landed in between the two, splashing them.
Blue let out a 'hmph' before stomping back into the house.
After the door slammed shut and she was gone, Red spoke up. "... What's her problem?"
Green groaned and started doing backstrokes. "Does it matter? That pesky woman always have problems."
"Yesh. That felt like a horrible nightmare," Ruby commented, shivering at the memory of being dirty. "I feel nice now."
The raven-haired boy laid on his own director's chair, his name plastered in bright red glitter on the back. He admired himself in the mirror of the vanity in front of him, appreciating how great his outfit looked on him. The stylists picked out a red and white sweater with a collared white shirt underneath to go with his pleated khaki shorts and black loafers. Though it was a very simple and casual look, Ruby thought it looked good on him. His usual white hat complimented the outfit very well too.
Ruby waved his hand to motion the makeup artists to stop their work, and they followed and left the boy alone. He continued to stare in the mirror, checking every little thing before he would take pictures. He had to make sure it was perfect.
While checking himself, White appeared behind him in the mirror. "Ruby! I'm glad you arrived on time!" she greeted him with a smile. "You cannot believe the traffic! It threw me off schedule!"
"I don't get why you're blaming the traffic!" Black exclaimed, appearing beside her with a clipboard and papers in his hands. "She got so annoyed with how slow the cab was driving that she got out and ran on the sidewalk. I bet that traffic would've lasted like five minutes too!"
White frowned and turned to her assistant, arms crossed. "It was going super slow! I couldn't help it! I'm a busy business woman, and I can't let down my client!"
"It's fine, we haven't started taking pictures yet," Ruby reassured, getting up from his chair.
"That's right, I should go get Sapph so we can finish early," White said. "Go over to the shoot in five, okay?"
Ruby responded with a head nod to let her know that he acknowledged her directions. White went over to go get Sapphire, walking extremely fast.
"BLACK! KEEP UP!" she yelled from across the room, alarming everyone.
"I'M COMING, PREZ!" Black shouted, running after her.
"Hey Sapph!" White greeted, recognizing the brunette from behind.
Sapphire stuck out her tongue and grimaced when some of the makeup got in her mouth. She quickly swatted away the makeup crew, then turned around to face White.
White checked out the outfit she was going to wear for the photo shoot, her eyes trailing down the girl's body from top to bottom. Sapphire was wearing a striped red and white tank top with a black jacket covering her arms, a neat white pleated skirt, and elegant black slippers. To top it off, she wore a red striped headband with a large ribbon on top.
"You look nice," White remarked.
Sapphire wrinkled her face and scrunching up her nose, finding the feeling unpleasant. She didn't know if it was the outfit or the makeup in her mouth, but she felt uncomfortable.
"I don't feel nice," she said, tugging on her skirt. "Why do I hafta wear a skirt? Isn't it better that I wear the trainer outfit since it's supposed ta be the cover of the thingy?"
Before White could answer her, a person appeared at the scene, blocking her view from the tomboy. Sapphire felt something, or more specifically, someone, slap her hands off the skirt.
It was Ruby.
He observed her carefully with a serious look before wiping her skirt and straightening the wrinkles with his hands. Sapphire started to blush a bit when she felt his hands brush against her thigh, and she reacted by pushing him away and backing up.
"What the heck do ya think yer doin'?" she questioned.
"Fixing your skirt, obviously. You're wrinkling the skirt by just grabbing it earlier," Ruby stated in a matter-of-fact voice. "Also, you're wearing the outfit all wrong! Do these stylists know nothing?!"
"Huh?" She raised an eyebrow, and looked down at her shirt. "Did I wear it backwards, or somethin'?"
Ruby let out an exasperated sigh and shook his head in disapproval. "You're supposed to tuck in your shirt," he told her, tucking it in for her.
Sapphire pushed him away, the blush still on her face. "I can do it myself!" she shouted, tucking it herself. It was much rougher than how Ruby originally did it, and it looked like it was causing more wrinkles.
The raven haired boy shook his head in disapproval again, frowning. "You're doing it wrong! You're supposed to lightly tuck it then pull it out slightly, so it creates an effect where it's tucked but 'fashionably tucked'," he instructed strictly. "Just let me do it."
Sapphire had no idea what he meant by 'pull it out after tucking' because it didn't make sense to her, so she just let him. She found the whole thing stupid and confusing that you had to pull out after tucking, and she didn't understand his fashion sense or explanation at all.
"There," he said, finishing the light tuck. It was tucked in, but much looser than before where the shirt was slim on her body.
Once he finished admiring the adjustments he made, Ruby looked up at Sapphire and placed a finger on his chin, observing her closely.
"Hmm..." he hummed, looking concentrated.
"Is there anything else that's wrong? Why are ya starin'?!" Sapphire asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes," he replied. Ruby reached up and pulled on the ribbon that sat on top of her head, adjusting it in a different angle. "There, now you look presentable. You're welcome."
"It's always good to count on you, Ruby," White said, giving him a thumbs up and a wink.
Ruby took this opportunity to spread his expertise. "Really? I've been meaning to say this, but I think you should change your shirt because your shorts don't match, and the ripped shorts you have on don't go with that jacket either. Also, I recommend that you wear jeans, or longer shorts because it will compliment your figure more. Another thing is—"
"Okay, stop right there," White interjected. "You don't tell a woman how to dress."
Sapphire frowned. "Ya didn't say anythin' but compliments when he was doin' it ta me just now!"
"This is different because this is just a cover outfit for a theme, not your usual clothes, Sapph. But this—" White opened her arms and showed off her orange T-shirt and shorts. "—is what I usually wear. Well, kind of. I never really have enough time to pick out my outfit, so I make Black do it. It's still the clothes I bought personally though, so I care."
Ruby let out a gasp and slapped his forehead. "You let Black pick out your clothes? He has the worst fashion sense ever! During the last trust exercise the director made us do, he wore this weird costume."
"Oh yeah... that was weird," Sapphire commented, remembering the memory. She can't even defend him at that point.
"Hey! I'm right here, guys!" Black shouted from behind White, his hands occupied with all the stuff she made him hold.
"Black, don't worry, I still like your coordination," White praised, placing a hand on his shoulder. In her mind, she didn't really care, so it was whatever.
"Thank you, Prez!" Black exclaimed, giving her a proud look.
"Okay, more importantly, it's time to get this photo shoot started! The theme is a date between Brendan and May, so make sure to look and act all lovey-dovey as possible!"
"Wait, what?!" the two exclaimed in unison, a puzzled look on their faces.
"Sapphire, look deeply into Ruby's eyes like you're in love!" the photographer directed her, moving around to get different angles.
Ruby and Sapphire were sitting across each other, a wooden table with an umbrella between them. The backdrop behind them was a green screen, and in front of them, were multiple different cameras and lights, along with umbrellas to capture the best lighting. Sapphire tried to ignore the flashing lights and stared into Ruby's eyes as instructed, but it seemed difficult for the girl to act like she was in love with him. Ruby could see that she was making a weird face, hinting that she wanted to rip his own face off. He wanted to say something to her, but he decided not to.
"Lean in and touch each other's noses! Also, make sure to smile and look like you're having fun!"
Sapphire gritted her teeth and faked a smile as she leaned in closer. Ruby did the best fake smile he could and leaned in as well. You would think that being a centimeter away from each other was going to be romantic, but by how they were acting and displaying their obvious disgust or hate for each other ruined the mood. The pair went so close that they even butted heads.
"Ow!" they both cried at the same time, leaning back in their chairs.
"That hurt, Prissy Boy!" Sapphire growled, rubbing her forehead.
"Really? It felt like heaven!" Ruby yelled back sarcastically. "Your attitude sucks! You need to do better!"
"What did ya say?!"
The crew and cameramen looked at them with puzzled looks, confused as to how an argument just broke out. Beside the photographer, White let out a sigh and told them to finish up tomorrow because they were cutting into overtime today. While she was handling that, Black ran over and went to rip the two off of each other.
"You just had to bump my forehead and mess up everything! You already ruined the new outfit I wore at the restaurant, what more do you want to ruin, you barbarian?!" Ruby argued, crossing his arms and turning his head the other way.
"Hey! It wasn't my fault! Ya're bumped into me, Prissy Boy!" she shouted back.
"Hey! You two better stop fighting before I rip out your skulls!" White scolded.
Ruby's and Sapphire's sweat dropped when they heard that line and they stopped talking.
White let out a sigh. "Luckily, everything worked out and the photographer agreed to redo it tomorrow. Make sure you guys act better and stop arguing!"
"Prez, I'm just surprised that those two didn't rip each other's heads off when they were sharing a drink together in the photo shoot," Black joked, chuckling at his own joke.
He, Ruby, Sapphire, and White were all in a car; White in the front with him, and Ruby and Sapphire in the back. Black had to drive them home because the director took the minivan away, so Ruby and Sapphire didn't have a ride home. Black offered to just take a rental car and drive the pair home since the other option was a cab, and White absolutely hated cabs because they never understood her passion to get somewhere quickly. Earlier when she was late to the photo shoot was a good example.
The brunette smacked Black's shoulder, rolling her eyes. "Black, don't even joke about that!" she chided.
"But it's true!" he replied. "You can't change people's personalities like that, Prez! Even Green, who's super level-headed, gets in arguments with Blue from time to time!"
White sighed again and rubbed her temples. "I know, I saw her stomp on his foot on the set last time," she mumbled. "That doesn't matter though. I heard from the director that everyone is going to live together, so hopefully everyone will be more friendly to each other."
"Are you talking about that weird plan that the director made up?" Black asked, raising an eyebrow. He was one of the people who doubted the plan since he thought there was no logic behind the director's reasoning. The amount of time that they spent together wasn't the issue in why everyone kept fighting.
"Of course," White replied. She turned around in her seat and looked at Ruby and Sapphire. "Hopefully, you guys will be as friendly as me and Black! I mean, we live together and we don't argue!"
"White, that's totally different! Y'all were friendly with each other even before you guys moved in together... I think," Sapphire paused, rethinking her words. "Actually, I didn't know y'all lived with each other."
"Of course we have to live with each other! What's good about having an assistant if he or she can't help you with your every need?" White reasoned.
Black's sweat dropped when he heard her explanation. "You make me sound like a maid."
"Don't think like that, you're not!" White rest assured, slapping his shoulder playfully. "If you were, then I would make you wear a uniform."
Ruby's and Sapphire's sweat dropped at how she was trying to make him feel better.
"Alright! We're here at your new house," Black interrupted the conversation, stopping the car. "See you two tomorrow!"
As Ruby and Sapphire exited the car, White rolled down her window and shouted, "We'll do the ending scene of the next episode early in the morning, then the photo shoot later! I'll text you guys the details again, so don't be late!"
Ruby and Sapphire waved goodbye to them, and the pair went on their way.
Red took the towels from Ruby with gratitude. "Thanks for bringing extra towels and clothes for us. Staying in that pool was really making us wrinkly."
"Correction, only you," Green added, grabbing some clothes from his arms. "I told you not to stay in there so long, you could've just sat beside it."
"No way! The concrete got really hot with the sun!" Red retorted.
"I should've done what you guys did, but I really wanted to clean that part," Gold said, trying to cover himself with the small piece of the towel. He quickly put on the pants that Ruby and Sapphire brought, wanting something to finally cover him after the last couple of hours.
"Hey guys," Sapphire interrupted, looking around. "Where's the others? I can't find them."
"Oh they're—" Red was interrupted when the door slammed open. Yellow, Crystal and Blue were at the doorway, finally back from their trip at the spa. They were all squeaky clean, and they wore their casual clothes that they got from their old dorm. They also had more suitcases and extra boxes that they picked up from there. The director didn't move in all of their items, so they thought it'd be best to stop by and get it.
"Excuse me!" Blue shouted from behind the boxes. "Want to help a girl out?"
Red, Gold, and Sapphire ran over to go help them, and Green went to go get a coffee. He needed a break after everything.
"Why are y'all carryin' boxes?" Sapphire asked as she took a box from Blue's hands.
"Obviously, it's to move in!" Blue replied. "I mean, the day is still young, but I want to hurry up and get it before it gets dark outside. We can sort out our items at night when the locks open again. It's easier this way."
"Uh, yeah, I'm the one who suggested that by the way," Crystal added. She glanced at Gold who was trying to get a box from her. "Also, I don't need your help. Go help Yellow, she's struggling over there."
"Guys need to help girls out though," Gold responded, still trying to take the box from her.
"I can handle it myself; the room is just down the hall anyway and I'll just drop it off. I told you to go help Yellow. I'm pretty sure she's the one who needs it the most since she's also carrying Sapphire's stuff," Crystal told him, walking away already.
When Gold turned around, he saw that Red was already helping her, the blonde flushed red beside him. He then turned to Blue to help, but she wasn't even carrying anything because she had Sapphire carry all her stuff. Looking around, Gold finally noticed something.
"Hey, where's Rald and Silv?"
"They went to go get their stuff, but we finished packing before them, so we left them there. They're going to take Silv's car back here," Blue answered.
Green came over to them after he finished his coffee, car keys around his finger. "Red, after you help them with the boxes, let's go to the dorms. We're getting our stuff," he said. "Ruby, too."
"Wait, what about me? I'm the one who told Ruby to bring us clothes!" Gold yelled, upset that he got left out.
Liar, Ruby and Sapphire thought, knowing that it was because they wanted to help them from the goodness of their hearts.
"Fine, you can come too," Green grumbled, leaving the room.
"Yesh! What's with him?" Gold asked, seeing how much of a bad mood he's in.
"We were pretty much naked for hours. It's fine, he'll get over it," Red replied. He knew Green was still mad about Gold busting into the restroom earlier and bringing everyone else in there, but he didn't want to tell the junior.
"You're still naked," Ruby mentioned, seeing that he was shirtless like Gold.
"That's 'cause I haven't had time to wear clothes," Red said. He was going to go put on a shirt, but he wanted to help Yellow out with the boxes first.
The blonde stared at him with her face red as always. "Um... if you want, I can handle the rest. I mean, it's my stuff anyway."
"No way, it's fine! Let me just put this down," Red told her, going over to go put it up. A few seconds later, he came back, and Ruby and Gold followed him out to the garage to go with Green to get the remainder of their stuff.
Crystal came back with a confused look on her face. "Hey, did something happen? I saw Red run down the hallway like a maniac."
"Who cares?! What matters is that we're finally alone!" Sapphire jumped up in happiness, throwing her arms up and giving Blue a high five. It's only been a day, but she was exhausted dealing with them (specifically Ruby).
"I'm surprised that you were happy about this. I thought you enjoyed having the boys around," Yellow said to Blue as they followed Crystal and Sapphire back into the living room.
"Yeah, I was! But Green was giving me a headache, and today's not going as I planned. I kind of like my space, y'know," Blue replied. "It's hard to do stuff when the guys are around. The bathroom was a mess too!"
"Well, we have to adjust to this," Crystal told her. She looked over to Sapphire. "Oh yeah, you and Ruby left for work. How was it?"
The brunette groaned in response. "As always, it was horrible."
"Hey, since Yellow is off kitchen duty at the moment, can I go ahead and make dinner?" Blue asked, entering the kitchen with Crystal. She put on one of the plaid aprons she found in the closet and pushed up her sleeves as well, preparing herself.
Yellow was knocked out on the couch again since she couldn't go into her room. It was pretty convenient for her to sleep right now since the guys were still away. Sapphire sat on the other couch, playing some video game that Yellow brought back.
"Nah, ya don't hafta!" Sapphire said, hearing their conversation. "Prissy boy and I brought some Bagon burgers on the way! It's on the table if y'all want some."
"Really?" Blue responded, running to the table for the food.
She, Yellow, and Crystal haven't really eaten much today after the whole pancake house incident. Sapphire was pretty satisfied with some food she ate on the way home.
"Sapph, you lied! It's empty!" Blue shouted, holding the bag upside down to show her.
Crystal's eye twitched at the crumbs landing all over the table and she went over to get the rag to go clean it. "Blue, bugs are going to come if you do that!"
"Oh, I gave some ta Red, Green, and Gold! Guess they took 'em all," Sapphire replied.
"So you spilled the crumbs for nothing," Crystal mumbled, adding a sarcastic, "great".
"It's like they want me to cry," Blue grumbled, crushing the bag in her hands. "What's up with this false hope?!"
"Just throw it away," Crystal chided. "It won't take long to make something real quick."
"Great, Crys!" Blue said, changing her mood quickly and jumping in excitement.
Crystal stopped cleaning the crumbs when she remembered something. "Wait, you have cooked before, right?"
Since she was the one who always cooked the meals, she wasn't sure if anyone else in the house could actually cook.
Blue just grinned at her. "You can say that~!"
"That was a good meal," Emerald remarked, slapping his stomach with his sleeves to show how satisfied he was.
"Yeah," Red agreed. "Everything tastes best when you're starving!"
Silver and Emerald met up with the other guys, and they all decided that they should go out and eat at a restaurant since they had extra time. Though they're somewhat getting along with the girls (not really), they thought it would be best to give them some space after spending a large majority of the day with them already.
"Hey, who has the key?" Red asked, looking at the other five.
"..."
"I'll take of it," Silver reassured, bending down and using the bobby pin from earlier to pick the lock again
Green shook his head. "We're seriously going to get robbed if he could pick the lock easily."
Silver finished picking the lock in a couple seconds, and the boys entered their new house, going straight to the living room. Green, being the first one to enter and the one in the front, suddenly stopped in his tracks when he saw what befell their kitchen and living room. Gold didn't notice that the senior had stopped and bumped his nose on Green's back.
"Ow!" Gold rubbed his nose, trying to ease the pain. "Why'd you stop?"
"It's a new house, so don't burn it down!" Green shouted, running over to the kitchen.
Once Green moved out of the way, the boys finally noticed what had happened. While Yellow was peacefully sleeping on the couch, Blue and Crystal were running around in the kitchen frantically in panic, and smoke was coming out of the oven and stove.
"Blue, calm down!" Crystal shouted.
"AHHHH!" Blue screamed. "Get it out! Get it out!"
Blue's hair tips were set on fire, and the girl reacted by running around so that it didn't touch her new (super highly flammable) shirt. Since Blue was too much in a panic and too busy to notice her surroundings, the tips of her hair touched random objects around the living room, spreading the fire. One of those objects was the couch that Yellow was sleeping on.
"Yellow!" Red shouted, running over to get her away. At the same time, Silver ran over to the brunette and tried to help his sister.
Just in time to clean up the mess, Green popped out of the pantry and sprayed the girl and the objects with a fire extinguisher. Blue coughed up smoke, upset to be covered in its contents after she just came back from the spa. Silver was also a victim since he was beside the girl when she got sprayed.
"When you're burned to crisp, don't run around and make everything else burn," Green advised, earning a glare from Blue and Silver.
"Don't worry Blue! I got ya!" Sapphire shouted, appearing from the backyard. She dragged the hose through the door, shoving it wide open with her feet.
Blue put her hands out in front of her, waving them. "Stop Sapphire! I'm good!" she screeched.
Unfortunately, Sapphire was too busy trying to turn the knob to turn on the hose that she didn't hear her senior. She aimed the hose at Blue and water shot out, spraying all over the couches and part of the kitchen. She turned the knob too much where she nearly lost control because of how strong the pressure was, and accidentally even sprayed Chuchu who was rolled up next to Yellow. The pikachu reacted by generating electric sparks in its cheeks.
"Oh shit," Gold said, running out of the room so he wouldn't get involved. He knew what was going to come next since he had a pichu himself.
"ARRRGHHH!/AHHHH!/OWW!/STOP IT!" everyone else cried out as they got shocked by the small pikachu.
"That was all your fault, Blue! Stop beating around the bush about it," Crystal chided.
"Yeah!" Sapphire agreed.
"It wasn't my fault! It was Sapph's fault for spraying the mouse!" Blue defended.
"Guys, the past was the past. Let's stop fighting," Yellow suggested.
The four girls were sitting in the dining room, eating breakfast at 4:50 AM. Because of what happened last night, everyone banned Blue from cooking in the kitchen ever again, and Sapphire is not allowed to bring the hose in the house anymore. Crystal was upset that she had to clean the whole mess of Blue's burnt pot, the contents of the fire extinguisher everywhere, and the water that came out of Sapphire's hose attack. It took her hours just to make it spotless again. Luckily, the furniture wasn't too damaged or burnt to a crisp from Chuchu's electric attack since the couches were made out of leather.
"That was the worst first day ever," Sapphire remarked, changing the subject to dodge Blue's accusation.
"Don't worry, the first days are always bad! The second day should be better, especially since everyone's gone for most of the day," Red optimistically told her, taking a seat as well.
"Do you want some breakfast, Red? There's some bacon and leftover waffles on the stove. Sorry, I'm used to it only being us four, so I didn't make that much," Crystal said. Red got up and shouted a 'thanks', running to the stove for the food.
"Ooh, I'll get some too," Gold announced, going over as well.
Emerald yawned, his eyes set sleepily on the television. "Why aren't there any good channels in the morning besides the news?" he muttered to himself, pressing the buttons furiously.
Green sat next to him, sipping on his usual dark coffee and reading the newspaper like someone's dad. Silver was on the other couch, on his phone, and Ruby was knitting something on the other couch. Everyone was up and early for the new day of work.
RING! RING!
Sapphire quickly swallowed the waffles in her mouth and answered the phone. Putting it on speaker because her hands were occupied by utensils, she greeted, "Heya White! Wassup!"
"Hi Sapph! Is Ruby there with you?" White asked through the phone.
Sapphire turned around and looked at him before turning back. "Yeah, he's here," she replied, reaching out to grab the orange juice that Crystal had set for her.
"Okay good! I'll just tell you, and you can relay the message for me! I'd like to do this over the phone just in case someone dies," White said in a cheery tone even though her words were grim. "I have big news for you guys, and it's really good! This is even better than the director's weird plan of everyone living together! The big news is that—" The manager paused to make it more dramatic. "—you and Ruby are now officially fake dating!"
Sapphire did a spit take upon hearing the news, making a direct hit on Chuchu. The pikachu glared at her, then her cheeks started to have electric sparks again.
"No!" Sapphire shouted, trying to stop her. Too bad for her, the pikachu didn't listen, and continued to shock everyone and everything once again.
"WHAT... HAPPENED... NOW?! ARGH!" Silver shouted between his screams.
After the pikachu stopped its attack, she jumped off the table and hopped over to the restroom to wash herself. Due to shock, Sapphire fell off of her chair and dropped her phone on the floor beside her. Luckily, the phone survived the electric attack and she was still on the line with White.
"Helloooo? Sapphire? Are you there? Hello?"
Sapphire slowly reached for the phone and said, "... I'm here."
"Did something happen? I heard some screaming and there were some crashing noises," White asked worriedly.
Sapphire could hear Black shouting in the back. "Prez! Your coffee is ready!"
She took a moment to regain herself.
"Let's just say... I was shocked to hear the news."
A/N — I AM TERRIBLY SORRY ABOUT THAT HORRIBLE PUN, LMAO XD I'm just kidding! Sorry NOT sorry XP Sorry guys, I just had to do it, and make Sapphire say it since the two most puniest dex-holders Diamond and Pearl aren't in this story. Anyways, damn this chapter is long too TT^TT I mean, I like to write chapters for y'all, and I want them SUPER LONG, but I feel like I'm overdoing it :/ But thanks to the reviewer who said she/he was happy about the long chapters :)
