A/N — Yo, it's been like three weeks! Now that it has, I sadly have to announce for myself that I won't be updating every two weeks anymore *cries* I seriously thought I could do it, since I have fun writing this story, butttt school has to intervene with my love ones bc it's a jerk. Anywaaaaay, it's nice to see you guys again! :) I'm not gonna say much since I don't want to rant on to y'all (unlike the other two stories), so I'll just head to the reviews, yay! Well, they're going to be answered at the bottom AFTER the story bc I don't want to add some spoilers in here. With that said, read on XD
Chapter Four — All In Day's Work
"Oh my gosh, finally those people are useful!" Blue remarked, reacting to the news with a happy squeal and little jump.
Crystal placed a comforting hand on Sapphire's shoulder, sympathizing with the girl. "Don't worry Sapph, it's going to be alright. I'm pretty sure they won't make you do anything too bad."
It took a couple minutes to recover from the electric shock received from Chuchu. Before the incident happened, the girls that were at the dining table heard the news from White since it was on speaker. The others in the living room didn't hear it because of how loud the T.V. was, so they gave puzzled looks as to why Blue is jumping around excitedly.
"You'll be able to do it, Sapphire!" Yellow encouraged, pumping a fist to her chest. "If Crys could, then you can do it too."
"Crys do what?" Gold asked, butting into their conversation with Red behind him. They were in the kitchen getting their food, so they didn't hear the news either.
"That's totally different! Crys had to just hug him in public! I'm dating him!" Sapphire snapped, ignoring Gold's question.
The two raven-haired boys widened their eyes when they heard she was dating someone. "No way, Sapph! You have a boyfriend?" Red inquired.
Ruby went over to the kitchen after he recovered and joined the conversation. "Who could be the poor chump? I seriously can't believe you actually caught a guy with your fashion sense and your obsession with Pokémon poop!"
"He's standing beside me," Sapphire answered dryly, rolling her eyes and darting them over to Ruby.
"What?" the three guys mumbled at the same time.
"WHY AM I DATING HER/HIM?!" Ruby and Sapphire shouted in unison, pointing at each other.
White gave them a sheepish look and gave them a smile to ease the mood. "Okay, so I understand that you two are upset, but it wasn't my idea. The directors think that it could bring more publicity to the drama since a lot of people ship May and Brendan and want them together."
"Again, what the heck is a ship?!" Sapphire inquired, referring to Blue's use of that word a lot. The senior used it so many times around her, but wouldn't tell her.
"That means you see two people as a couple," White answered.
"White, I get what you mean by more publicity, but I don't see Crys and Gold dating even though they're popular too! They just had to be friendly with each other on the red carpet!" Ruby brought up. "I could just do that with this barbarian! I don't want to fake date her!"
"Same here! Ain't we getting along already?" Sapphire said, giving the friendliest smile she could muster. She scooted near him to show White how happy they were together. "Right, Prissy Boy?"
"This is sad," Black commented, giving them odd looks along with White. Sapphire smacked the boy's head when she got called out.
"Yep," White agreed, not buying that fake act one bit. "Anyway, I'm super sorry, guys! This wasn't my decision at all."
"What?! Can't ya do something about it? I mean, ya're the manager and all, so they must've asked ya 'bout it,'' Sapphire reasoned.
"Look—"
"Prez, you should stop this," Black interjected. He averted his eyes over to Ruby and Sapphire, locking eye contact with the two. "Guys, I'm going to say this even though Prez will kill me. She did agree to it because she totally ships you guys."
White smacked his arm. "Black!"
Ruby and Sapphire turned their attention to their manager and glared daggers at her, a dark aura surrounding them. Sapphire started to even crack her knuckles, making the brunette's sweat drop.
"Okay, so I might agreed to it..." White admitted, chuckling nervously. "But it was all the director's idea. I only agreed because he said you two got so much closer!"
The blonde put her sketchbook down for a second and reached over to get a bottle of water.
"I hope they're okay," Yellow mumbled as she opened her water bottle.
She and Emerald were in a small, glass-wall room furnished by couches and a coffee table, along with a mini-fridge to fill their needs. Piles of papers were scattered all over the floor and coffee table messily, and the two sat on the couches in different positions; Emerald was upside down on one couch, and Yellow was laying on her stomach on the other. They were at the agency's building on the second floor, working on a new song for the show.
Emerald ripped a paper from his journal and threw it on the floor, adding another piece to the pile.
"Who?" he asked, hearing her mumbling.
"Ruby and Sapphire," she replied. "They seemed really upset this morning since they have to date each other for show business. I just have the feeling that they're ripping each other's necks off right now..."
Emerald grimaced and stuck his tongue out in disgust, uncomfortable with the topic of romance. "Why are ya worried about 'em? If anything, ya should be worried 'bout the people who have to deal with them! I got an electric shock for nothing this morning," he complained.
Yellow laughed lightly and gave him a sheepish smile. "Sorry about Chuchu by the way. She's been hanging with Pika a bit too much lately," she said, petting the electric mouse next to her. "Also, you're right, we should be focusing on writing a song. We have to finish the next opening song by next week."
"Ugh, don't remind me! I'm over this!" Emerald groaned, sitting right back up and tossing the journal aside. "I got hours and hours of nothing!"
"... You want to go to the forest and hang there to clear your mind for a while?" Yellow suggested.
She always found her inspiration and found the setting peaceful, so she thought it'll let Emerald be at ease too.
Emerald looked at her, not really fond of the idea. He wasn't the nature-loving type like Yellow; the setting was not going to change him. He knew Yellow worked better there though, so he thought about it.
"... Let's go to an outdoor cafe again," he suggested, trying to weigh their opinions.
Yellow smiled. "Alright!"
"I was so ecstatic when I heard you two are officially a couple! I'm a really big fan, and I've shipped you guys together for the longest time, believe me!" the photographer blabbed on, clasping his hands together. "Also, by the way, you guys did an amazing job this time! I can see the love through these photos! It was so funny that you guys pretended to hate each other yesterday! Good acting skills!"
"Okaaaay..." White cut in, gently shoving the photographer aside. "Thanks for taking the pictures! Now as their manager, we have a busy schedule, so we should go now."
They actually had a lot of time left until the next job, but White wanted to stop him from bringing up the fact that they were (fake) dating. The couple was already pissed off at her for agreeing to such a thing, and if it wasn't for Black, Sapphire would've given her a black eye. She was thankful for her assistant. Well, kind of, since it was Black's fault she almost got killed in the first place. She noted to get back at him later.
"Ah, yes! I am so sorry, I just got so excited that I talked too much," he apologized and shook their hands eagerly. "Once again, it was working with you two! Let's do this again sometime!"
Afterwards, he bid them goodbye and went off to go pack his stuff. Once he was at the other side of the room, Ruby's and Sapphire's fake smiles that were plastered on fell into frowns. They looked at each other, tension appearing between them.
"Don't touch me again!" Sapphire growled, wrapping her hands around her arms in disgust.
"Oh yeah, because I really, really wanted to hug you," Ruby replied sarcastically.
White frowned when she heard the arguments start off already. "Hey, be nice, guys."
"I am nice!" Ruby claimed. "I even made Sapphire a new set of pajamas since the ones she wore this morning looked ugly and unfashionable."
"What?!" Sapphire screamed.
"Yeah, and I even did you a favor and threw them out. You don't have to thank me for this act of kindness, it's what I do," Ruby told her.
"WHAT?" Her voice grew louder. "Whe— What? When did you even get the chance to?! I was wearin' it all morning until 4:30!"
"When you were eating breakfast," Ruby replied. "I made a new one for you because the other one was just absolutely horrid. See? Aren't I a great person? I'm kind too."
"WHY YOU!" Sapphire lunged towards him with her hands out to strangle him, but she was stopped by Black, who was holding her arms back.
"GUYS, STOP IT!" Black shouted louder than her. "Do it on the street, or in an alleyway!"
"Black, that's wrong!" White snapped. She let out a groan and muttered, "The next two hours with them is going to be longer than I thought..."
"So White," Ruby called casually, ignoring the fact that Sapphire was there trying to fight Black's grip to strangle him. "What's the next thing we have to do today?"
"The press," she replied.
"I wonder if we'll be able to handle it without White today," Silver mumbled to himself.
He and Gold were out at a coffee shop near the studio for a thirty minute break after working for two hours straight. Crystal was with them too, but she was absent at the moment because she went to go get their drinks at the counter.
Silver pushed his red locks into his hat more firmly, and looked over to Gold who was adjusting his glasses. Like always, they dressed in disguises to hide their faces from the public.
"Dude, you act like we need her to bring us to the restroom for potty training," Gold remarked. "She has to handle fashion boy and wild gal right now."
"I know," Silver said, rolling his eyes at the remark. "But if she's there, handling those two, who will stop Crys from killing you? I already told you this a million times, but I need you to stop flirting with her. I don't care if she murders you, and that'll be awesome, but White told me to prevent you guys from blowing up today and offered me tickets to the exclusive Proteam Omega's live showing. I wanna go to it for free, so stop picking fights with Crys, and don't talk to her too much. Also, don't talk to me, either."
"Wow, that was rude," Gold commented, cocking an eyebrow at him. "What makes you think that I'm the problem? Crys is the one who has a bad attitude, and is always bossing me around. I'm just having fun."
"You're the one who keeps making her mad," Silver told him.
Gold threw his arms up dramatically to complain, and accidentally hit someone behind him because he wasn't careful. He heard a small shriek and a thump, along with a loud clamping noise. When he turned around to see what he hit, he saw Crystal there, covered in the food they had ordered, and her hat and sunglasses on the floor. Upon seeing her appearance, Gold chuckled nervously and gave her a sheepish smile, while Silver slapped his forehead.
The redhead was not going to get those tickets.
Crystal's face turned red in both anger and embarrassment. The boys thought she was going to blow, but surprisingly, she took a deep breath and just let out a sigh.
"I'm okay... It was an accident. You're better than this, Crystal," she told herself.
"Sorry Crys," Gold apologized for his actions.
"It's fine, I guess I should just get used to being covered in food by now," she said, referring to yesterday's events. "Anywa—"
"—OH MY GOSH! IS THAT CRYSTAL LEE?!"
The three averted their attention over to the shout, and saw a little girl near them, pointing straight at Crystal. Crystal tensed up at the sound of her name, and she quickly tried to adjust her hat to cover her hair, but she realized it had fallen off when Gold had hit her earlier.
"WAIT! IF THAT'S CRYSTAL, THEN THE OTHER TWO ARE...? GOLD AND SILVER?! WHAT?!"
All conversations ceased and all eyes were on them after hearing the little girl's shouting. After a few seconds of silence for the realization to hit them, they got up from their seats and went over to the trio.
"Get out of here! Get out of here!" Silver whisper-shouted to his co-stars.
"Ruby and Sapphire! What drove you two together? Why did you finally decide to start dating? Can you please provide us with the details?!"
Sapphire flinched and growled when the flash from the cameras hit her eyes. She could never get used to it now matter how hard she tried. Ruby gave them a small smile as always and nudged Sapphire under the table with his foot to stop her from growling like a Pokémon baring its fangs.
The two were at the press conference, solidifying their relationship for the whole public to know. They were on the stage, behind a table-clothed table, answering questions for the audience and the press members live.
"Well, we do spend a lot of time together even off the set since we're co-stars. Like Brendan and May, we just grew feelings for each other after hanging with each other for so long," he recited, perfectly memorizing the speech White told him to say. "Also, in regards to our drama, we thought it would be nice if our love was real to express our characters better. Isn't that right, Sapph?"
When Ruby put his arm around her, she wanted to break it, but then she remembered White's big lecture on the way here. The manager's words echoed in her head: If you make a good scene in front of everyone, I'll treat you to these amazing cakes and even treat you to hot wings afterwards. I'll let you have the rest of the day off at 4 PM and we can have a picnic with everyone in the studio, too. But that condition only remains if you can keep your promise, Sapph.
Sure, the girl wasn't really into bribes, but she didn't want to be alone with Ruby for the next few hours (even if White and Black were there, it still doesn't change that fact), so she forced herself to endure it.
Giving a toothy smile that everyone gushed at, she answered, "Of course! We're sooooo in love, ya can't even believe it!"
Good thing she was a great actress in front of the cameras.
"Aw! This might be the best celebrity couple!" someone from the audience remarked.
Ruby and Sapphire continued to give them the brightest smile they could muster while secretly stomping on each other's foot under the table. Because the table cloth was covering the outer part of the table, the audience didn't see the action happening, but Black and White, who were on the side of them, happened to spot it and their sweat dropped. White went over to them when the interviewer was talking about something, and while keeping a smile, she whispered to them to stop it before she murders them afterward. Black saw this, and went over to restrain the manager and drag her backstage without the press noticing.
"Don't you dare say that ever again!" Blue shouted in an angry tone, slapping Green across the face.
The brown-haired boy lowered his head, looking deep in thought as his hair covered his eyes. Meanwhile, Blue's eyes were filled with tears, and it dripped down her cheeks as she gazed at him with a sad, but angry look. Red stood behind the two, his sweat dropping at the scene with an awkward expression.
"Cut! Take five! That was great!"
Immediately, upon hearing that, everyone changed their expressions to a straight face or a happier look.
Blue went over to the director who was sitting in a chair behind the main camera. "Mm... I feel like I need to do that scene again," she said, wiping her fake tears away. "I don't think that slap was realistic or hard enough."
"Tell that to the red mark on my face," Green grumbled, pointing at the red handprint that was on his cheek.
"Well... this scene was awkward for my character," Red commented. "Don't you think it was better for Fire to not be in this scene?"
"Fire is supposed to make the funny element in the scene, so he has to stay there," Director Oak replied.
"Grandpa, how is this scene supposed to be funny? Isn't it serious and 'apparently' heartbreaking?" Green snapped.
"You need to loosen up and chill," Blue told him.
Green rolled his eyes. "Stop sounding like Gold."
"Hey, I'm just stating the facts." Blue raised her arms up in defense. "Let's all face it, your attitude and seriousness is worse than Crys's."
"Ooh..." Red said, wincing. "That's gotta hurt."
Blue, Green, and the director turned towards him, giving him a look. Seeing it, he laughed nervously, realizing that he had said his thoughts out loud. "Okay guys, I'm going to go over there. Good luck with the problem."
The raven-haired boy quickly left before he made the situation worse.
"You two are both adults, so try to act like it and get along," the director told them sternly.
"As if," Green grumbled, refusing to go along with his whims. If anything, Blue was in the wrong.
"Cold and heartless," Blue muttered in an obvious fake cough, earning a glare from the boy.
He rolled his eyes. "Immature and annoying."
The two started to glare at each other, and the director saw sparks flying in between the two, but in a bad way.
Director Oak's sweat dropped and he quickly intervened before a fight happened between them. He couldn't risk another fist fight from them. The last one ended up with Red (who was unaware of the fight and off to the side drinking water calmly after a break) crashing into someone, which made them crash into another person, and then into a camera. Just like dominoes, it continued knocking other things down.
"Forget taking five, let's start rolling again," he said, thinking that would be the best way to stop them.
Green and Blue stopped their tension and went over to the set to resume their spots while someone went to get Red.
The director laid back in his chair and let out a sigh. "This'll be a long day without White."
That girl is a miracle worker when it comes to stopping fights.
"ACHOO!" White sneezed loudly in Black's face.
Black quickly wiped it with his sleeve, visibly grimacing at the snot and spit that flew on his face. "Prez, for the fourth time, today, please stop sneezing in my face," he said, trying to sound calm even though it was hinted that he was annoyed.
White gave him a sheepish look. "I don't know why, but I feel like someone's talking about me," she mumbled.
Black let out a small laugh, changing his expression when she said she believed in that silly myth about sneezing when people are talking about them.
"You don't seriously think that's real, right? A much better theory is that you're catching a cold. Do you need to rest?"
The brunette let out an exasperated gasp, looking quite offended. "How dare you say that to me," she said dramatically, placing a hand over her heart. "I thought you would know me better than that, Black! There's no way I would take a rest, and I am certainly not sick!"
Black rolled his eyes. "Of course you would say that," he muttered, a sigh escaping his lips. "Look, if you feel woozy in some sort of way, just tell me and I'll bring you home. We don't have to attend the picnic anyways. Also, speaking of which, I'm surprised you got Sapphire to work just by mentioning it."
"Well, she's a tree hugger, so I'm not surprised," White replied. "That aggressive side of hers is just for show."
"Tell that to the scratches I got on my arm," Black grumbled, pushing up his sleeves to reveal Sapphire's teeth and 'claw' marks.
"That's 'cause you're the best assistant ever!" White told him, punching his arm playfully. "Thanks."
"You're welcome," he replied dryly. He shook with impatience. "Man... when are they going to be ready? We've been waiting here for a long time already."
"Patience is a virtue," White quoted. "Be mature."
"Says the girl who climbed out of the cab during traffic," Black muttered.
"What was that?"
"Nothing."
"Finally, we're almost there. It took forever!"
Sapphire stuck her head out of the car window in a similar fashion to a lillipup. Breathing in the cool breeze rushing against her face, she took in the scenery and the freshness of the air. It's been a while since they've been to a forest area, or out of the city. She missed the feeling of it.
"Well, of course it's going to take forever to get there. We live in the middle of the city, after all," Black responded, explaining the reason.
"Hey, don't stick out your head too much! You're going to ruin your hair after I just fixed it!" Ruby said sternly, yanking on her shirt to bring her inside.
Sapphire looked at him and kicked him with her leg, not caring. She went back to shoving her head outside the window afterwards.
"What he meant is that he doesn't want you to fall out of the car," White tried to translate his words to a more polite version. It wasn't even close to what he was saying though.
The manager looked at the map again. "Hey Black, the picnic site is up ahead, right?"
"Yeah, about three more minutes," Black replied. "We'll probably stay there for two hours till sunset."
"Yay, I'm so excite— ACHOO!"
"Bless you!" Ruby and Sapphire chimed at the same time.
Black just shook his head, still keeping his attention to the front of the road, and taking occasional glances at her.
"You're sick," he insisted.
"No, I'm not," she denied.
"Hey Black, that was rude not ta say 'bless you'," Sapphire pointed out, putting her head back into the car. Due to the strong wind, her brown locks were in a huge mess and was really frizzy now. Ruby tried to fight the urge to comb it again.
"I said it the first three sneezes," he grumbled.
"Don't you dare say I'm sick," White interjected, shooting him a glare.
"I didn't say it," he argued, frowning. His expression softened when he saw a glimpse of their picnic spot. "Oh, I can see it up ahead."
When they heard the announcement, Ruby, Sapphire, and White tried to look as well; Ruby and White were looking through the front windshield, and Sapphire was shoving her head out the window. Unfortunately, Sapphire was so excited and eager that she accidentally shoved too much of her body out along with her head and she leaned over too much. A few seconds later, her whole body fell out of the car.
"That all happened because she didn't listen to me," Ruby stated casually, not worried. He felt like she could jump off a train while it was moving and survive. She just had that kind of vibe.
White widened her eyes when she saw it and shouted, "Oh my gosh, Sapphire!" She punched Black's shoulder to catch his attention since he didn't notice the big 'THUD' sound and continued driving. "Stop the car!"
"Are you sure you're okay?" White asked worriedly as they got out of the car.
"Yeah," Sapphire reassured, giving her a toothy grin. Her attire was covered in dirt and mud, and her hair had a twig and a bunch of tangles. "When I go somewhere exciting with others, I fall out of the car a lot, so I'm used ta it. Don't worry!"
White's sweat dropped. "... Don't get used to it. If there's something wrong with your brain, or if your head or body hurts, then notify me immediately."
Black, who was next to her, did an obvious loud fake cough, muttering "same for you." within the cough. He did another fake cough to cover it up, and White shot him a glare again.
"Woah, Black, are ya okay? That cough sounds bad," Sapphire said, oblivious to the fact he was faking it.
"Your head is the thing that's bad," Ruby told her, shaking his head. "How did you not know that was fake?"
Sapphire rolled her eyes. "Hey, at least I have the decency ta actually worry 'bout someone! I bet ya tried ta fix yer eyebrows when I fell out!"
Just when Ruby opened his mouth to retort, a cheery male voice interrupted their argument. "Yo guys!"
All four of them turned to the sound of the voice, and Red was there running towards them from the picnic site. Instead of focusing her usual attention on Red, Sapphire took in the surroundings around him.
In the middle of the field, there was a large, wooden table that stretched out, big enough to fit all of them. The picnic tables had a huge sunroof hanging above it, and beside it was a huge beautiful lake filled with lots of water Pokémon, and a forest in the back.
"Oh hey, Red," Ruby greeted since Sapphire was distracted.
Red gave them a smile. "How was your day? Did you guys stop fighting after becoming a fake couple?"
"Well, I did," Ruby replied before pointing at the brunette next to him. "She was the one who tried to strangle me, rip out my eyes, and claw my face."
"Hey! He stepped on my foot first!" Sapphire accused.
Red laughed nervously. "Let's just go enjoy the picnic with everyone, I think we all need a break today. It was really awkward and hard without White."
Emerald let out a groan to express his tiredness. "I feel so exhausted, work was horrible."
"Really? I feel great, I took like five naps today," Yellow informed as she hopped out of the car in a happier manner.
It was now pitch black outside, and everyone had just gotten back from the picnic. While Red, Yellow, Crystal, Gold, Sapphire and Ruby were unpacking and unloading some of their items from the car, the others went straight to the door, tired from today's events. It was only 8 PM, but they wanted to take a long rest.
"Yo Super Serious Gal, I'll help you with that," Gold offered, putting out his hand.
"I can handle it myself," Crystal denied, pulling it away from him.
"Oh, are you still mad at what happened today when we were eating? Chill out and get over it," Gold told her.
Crystal's vein popped out when he reminded her of that incident and told her to forget it. "I'm not mad about it," she replied, letting out a 'hmph!' that said otherwise.
"Wait, what happened today when you guys were eating? Do you mean the 'Chuchu incident'? Because that was Sapphire's fault," Ruby said, pointing an accusing thumb at the brunette.
Sapphire smacked his shoulder and made him flinch at the pain. "Hey!" she growled.
"What? It's true!" he retorted. "Who was the one who spit out their drink at Chuchu?! You! Just be lucky that it wasn't Pika."
Everyone shivered at the thought of imagining Pika soaked in her drink. Chuchu had a growing temper, but Pika was the one with more attitude and power.
"Nah, she's just upset because we were chased out of the coffee shop today," Gold explained, cutting into their argument.
"I said I'm not mad, nor upset!" Crystal snapped. She let out a sigh. "Actually, how did that lead to bringing it up again?"
"Because you're really sour and grouchy," Gold answered, not helping himself.
Crystal narrowed her eyes at him, then just turned around and left without saying a word. Like Green, she didn't have the energy to deal with any irritation.
"Wait, Crys!" Gold called after her, following her. Ruby and Sapphire also followed them inside since they had got their stuff already.
Yellow stood on her tippy toes, trying her best to reach the top of the trunk since everyone else left her behind. The blonde stopped her attempts to reach it when she saw a hand loom above her. Red closed the trunk, and she turned around to him.
"Oops, sorry Yellow. I thought I would try to help because you looked like you were kind of struggling," Red pointed out, giving her his usual sheepish smile. "Oh, no offense by the way."
"O-Of course I'm not offended!" she replied, giving him a small smile. "Thanks."
"No problem!"
"AHHHHHHHH!"
Red and Yellow dropped their items in surprise when they heard a loud girly shriek echoing from the house. Instead of picking up their fallen items, the two quickly ran towards the noise to see what had happened.
When they entered the house, they found everyone staring at the living room, crowding the hallway. They continued to stand there and block the view, and Red and Yellow didn't notice what they were staring at. Red tapped Green's shoulder to get his attention, and the brunet turned to him.
"What happened?" Yellow asked worriedly in concern.
"Pesky woman is overreacting," Green answered.
After hearing that, Blue slapped his shoulder. "That wasn't me! That was Gold!"
"What?! It was Rald!" Gold accused.
"It was you," Emerald argued, narrowing his eyes.
"Yeah," Sapphire agreed, giving him a dumb look.
Everyone stared at him awkwardly; some even gave sympathetic looks for his girly scream.
"Okay, it doesn't matter who screamed. It matters what happened!" Gold said, trying to change the subject to avoid that embarrassment.
Honestly, he shrieked because he thought he saw a bug on the wall when he entered, but he didn't want to mention it. One, it would make him lame; and two, this was not the time to be afraid of a bug. In caution, he scooted over subtly to the other side of the wall to get away from it though.
"Again, what happened?" Red asked.
"Just look," Ruby gestured, clearing some room for them to see.
Yellow and Red stepped forward in the small gap he created, and saw what he was talking about.
It was the living room... And it was completely empty.
The large television they had, the furniture that filled the living room earlier this morning, the video game Sapphire was playing yesterday— everything, was gone. Even the knick knacks and decorations that Ruby put on the walls disappeared. The place looked so clean and unfurnished as if it was a new house. Well, it would've been, if it wasn't for the fact that the words 'WATCH OUT, HOLLYWOOD!' were written on the walls in bright red.
"... Is that blood?" Red asked, seeing that it was written in something red. He thought it was blood because he saw this type of thing happen in mystery or horror movies a lot.
"Who cares about that?!" Green snapped, rolling his eyes. "We just got robbed, and I was right when I mentioned it twice to you guys and once to Gramps! You guys never listen!"
"Yeah right, I bet you jinxed us!" Blue accused.
Green turned to her, his eye twitching. "Don't be such an idiot."
"Don't insult her," Silver said, standing up for her and glaring at him. Green returned the glare back.
"Guys, we should just calm down. This isn't the time to be figh—" Crystal stopped mid-sentence when Gold suddenly grabbed her arm. On instinct, she clutched it and flipped him over, slamming him on the carpet. Yellow ran over, worried that he was hurt.
As the blonde helped him up, Gold said, "Geez, Super Serious Gal! I was just trying to get your attention to tell you whether we should check our locked rooms, or not."
"Don't sneak up on me like that!" Crystal chided. Though she wouldn't admit it, she was spooked right now.
"I didn't though!"
"We should call the police, Crys," Emerald suggested, catching her attention.
Crystal nodded her head, agreeing. Before she could take out her phone and do that, Blue stopped her, suddenly shouting, "No!"
"What's wrong?!" Crystal asked, alarmed and jumpy.
"I think we should solve it ourselves! I mean, I might be in a detective film next year, and I want to get in character!" Blue told her. "Wouldn't it be cool to act as a detective and all? As actresses and actors, we should practice real life situations!"
"I mean that's true, but what if that's not ketchup?" Red brought up, still suspicious of what it was written with.
Emerald rolled his eyes at their behavior and how they completely missed the seriousness of the situation. "Remind me to never get robbed with you guys!"
