After I was arrested, the police drove me to the nearest station and took me inside to get me processed as they said and I was confused by what they meant by that, though I was pretty much stared at by the other officers and the criminals with odd looks as I had my cuffs removed and guided up to the front of a camera before they took my picture as I held a sign that said John Doe on it until I was taken to a cell after they took my prints.

A couple of days had gone by from what I could tell and Legosi, as well as Louis, visited me during that time to tell me that they would vouch for me and I spent most of the time in my cell exercising and practicing my katas while the correctional officers fed me until I was eventually taken to a room with a one-way mirror as the detective, a middle-aged stoat by the title of Inspector Papiko, sat on a chair meant for him as he had lunch brought in for me and I began eating.

"Geez, a strange creature like you certainly has a big appetite, not to be sarcastic or anything," Inspector Papiko remarked wryly, making me look embarrassed as I finished eating.

"Sorry Inspector, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable and thanks for the food, it was pretty good since you don't get something this delicious where I'm from," I replied politely before Inspector Papiko waved it off.

"No worries, it's my treat since you must've been hungry and katsudon in an interrogation room, just like in the movies, but at least the soybean cutlet is good and at least it shows that you can process foods for herbivores, even though some of your teeth are meant for carnivore diets," Inspector Papiko told me as I smiled slightly.

"You know, it's nice having a decent conversation with someone after a past couple of days had gone by since it's a good change of pace from getting stared at like a freak during all that time, and I appreciate the kind gesture of feeding me," I said warmly while Inspector Papiko removed his glasses so that he could clean them.

"Well, even though you look odd, we're not going to starve you or anything like that so it's good that you were able to tell us that you're an omnivore that can process carnivore and herbivore foods, though the good news is that your two-day quarantine is over since your friends vouched for you and you haven't proven to be a threat yet," Inspector Papiko stated and I thought about how the others were doing right now.

'Huh, I think Louis is going to have a lot of questions for me and Legosi, though the young wolf probably explained everything to him,' I thought as I sighed and resumed my attention on Inspector Papiko.

"Normally, we would let you get adjusted on your own after you leave the station, but you're an unknown species that just appeared out of nowhere with no kind of information on you like birth records, species classification, medical files, or anything else and it's like you popped up out of the ground so we're going to have to keep a close eye on you for a while as you'll have to get yourself registered as an immigrant to this country.

Also, be more careful around herbivores since they're likely to be skittish around you," Inspector Papiko warned and I nodded.

"So, what are my limitations since I'm an undocumented immigrant?" I asked as I frowned thoughtfully.

"First off, the unsegregated colleges are going to be hard on you since they're going to run a background check for any issues and will ask you to leave once they discover that you've been arrested for illegal immigration, though we couldn't exactly deport you since we know next to nothing about where you're from," Inspector Papiko said and I nodded at that.

'Yeah, that makes sense and I already have a good knowledge of many things so it shouldn't be that hard to find a job,' I thought as I continued listening.

"Also, finding work isn't going to be easy since most companies nowadays are owned by herbivores," Inspector Papiko added before I grimaced at that.

'Shit, so much for finding a job that'll easily hire me so it looks like I won't be looking forward to this new life of mine,' I thought with a slight look of annoyance.

"And also, because herbivores will be skittish around you and that you're an undocumented immigrant, it'll be next to impossible for you to marry one," Inspector Papiko finished with a chuckle, then my eyes bugged out at that.

I threw myself back with a scream of dismay as the chair toppled over and I laid flat on my back while my foot twitched and Inspector Papiko hurried across the table to look down at me with a worried look while questioning if I was okay, but I didn't respond and whimpered at how I wouldn't be able to marry Haru because of how I look and it made me wonder if things would get any worse for me.

"I-Inspector, there's a female herbivore I want to marry so isn't there anything I can do?" I groaned in disbelief, just before Inspector Papiko widened his eyes in surprise.

"Oh, so that's why you reacted like that and you don't need to worry because you just need to not look threatening and get yourself registered as a local of Japan, though it's going to be difficult with the first part because of all those scars on your face," Inspector Papiko told me, which didn't make me feel any better as I got up and put the chair back in its rightful place before sitting down.

"Well, I'm sure I'll figure it out so thanks anyway," I muttered with a depressed cloud hanging over my head just before someone entered the room suddenly.

We turned to look and saw that the person was a male horse with dark fur and a blindfold covering his eyes while he was wearing a simple white tank-top, blue jeans, and sneakers as he walked in and Inspector Papiko froze up while his reaction told me that he recognized him.

"Sir, I wasn't expecting you to come in here," Inspector Papiko greeted nervously and the horse smiled.

"Why don't you take a break, Inspector? I'll take it from here," the stallion suggested, prompting Inspector Papiko to hop off the table and he left before the stallion sat down across from me before I studied him with a calculating look.

"I thought I was leaving," I pointed out and the stallion hummed in response.

"You will, I just need to get to know you more so let's get started, shall we?" the stallion commented, but I was suspicious since nobody sounded this friendly unless they wanted me to lower my guard.

"What do you want to know?" I asked and the stallion chuckled before he put down a file and opened it to show my mugshot that had little to no information on it except for my name and blood type.

"It's interesting, you show up out of nowhere and there's no information on you in the local database, not even internationally so it's like you're a ghost that was spat up out of the ground and that has my attention, which means that you're part of a very rare species that isn't documented or you just appeared out of thin air so why don't you fill in the blanks for me," the stallion told me as I narrowed my eyes.

"Well, someone like you has the inspector nervous and it has me curious, so you must be high up in the ranks and someone wearing a blindfold usually means they have something to hide," I countered cooly, causing the stallion to smirk.

"You're very perceptive, I like that so let me help you out by saying that I'm well known among the public and, as for the blindfold, it helps my vision so let's leave it at that," the stallion hinted cryptically, then that's when it clicked and I realized who was sitting across from me.

"You're the beastar, which makes sense since you're dressed casually and the inspector recognized you so what does someone as you want with someone like me?" I questioned smoothly.

"You interest me, mostly because there's nothing about you at all in the national and international databases, not to mention that you're unlike anything I've seen before so I have to wonder where you came from," the stallion admitted wryly while I grinned.

"Talk about an honor, the beastar himself being interested in me enough to pay a visit but where I come from isn't important, more like what you intend to do with me," I said slyly as we bantered with each other.

"For now, nothing since I can't hold you here and you haven't proven to be a threat, but that doesn't mean that I won't be keeping an eye on you so try not to cause trouble," the stallion told me as we stood up from our seats and walked over to the door before clasping our hands together.

"Well, good to meet you so have a pleasant day," I said pleasantly as we squeezed each other's hands in a test of strength, me discovering that he was strong while the stallion nodded.

"You too," the stallion replied before we let go of each other and I was taken out of the interrogation room until a hyena officer escorted me to the men's locker room and I was given a fresh change of clothes.

I changed out of my duster and armored vault suit, storing them in my pipboy before slipping on my new clothes that consisted of a black jacket with a gray hoodie, white sweater, blue cargo pants without a hole in the back for a tail, and brown work boots as I stared at myself in the mirror, grimacing at the large scars across my face that crisscrossed each other to show an unpleasant and intimidating sight while I zipped up the jacket halfway and walked out of the locker room.

I was guided by two dingo and kangaroo officers to the entrance while I was stared at uneasily by everyone else before we left the building and I saw Legosi waiting for me while he was dressed in a heavy jacket with a scarf, blue jeans, and white sneakers as he perked up with a smile before I walked up to him and bowed my head before he did the same until I turned around to look at the dingo officer.

"Remember, we'll be keeping a close eye on you so try not to cause trouble," the dingo warned and I nodded.

"Don't worry, I'll be on my best behavior," I reassured until the officer and his partner went back into the building as I looked at Legosi, an awkward silence between us as he rubbed the back of his head.

"So, you got your body back," Legosi said hesitantly while I cringed.

"Yeah...it feels so strange without a muzzle, fur, and tail so it's going to take a while to readjust to being human again," I muttered as I rubbed my arm uncomfortably.

"Well, what do you say we get going," Legosi suggested shyly before we started walking away from the police station.

As we walked through the city, the people around us did double-takes when they saw me and I was uncomfortable with being stared at like some side-show circus freak while I tried to ignore them and focused on other issues, like how to convince Haru that I was the one she had been dating for almost a year instead of Legosi while I was also a little irritated that I knew next to nothing about interspecial marriage and needed to do some research on the topic.

"Legosi, I need to find a library for some research so is there one near here?" I asked and Legosi perked up.

"Actually, there's a bookstore I passed by on my way to the police station so let me take you there," Legosi said before he started guiding me to our next destination.

Pretty soon, we arrived at the bookstore and the receptionist gawked at me as we passed him and started looking for a section on interspecial marriage, though we didn't have to look far as we found a section on marriage and I sweatdropped at how thin the interspecial marriage bookshelf was compared to same-species marriage bookshelf that was next to it, then I picked a book and started reading from it as it talked about how interspecial marriage became legal.

"Huh, says here that interspecial marriage was legalized 10 years ago," I muttered while Legosi nodded.

"Yeah, I remember that since I was seven at the time and it was a big thing all over the news," Legosi told me while I kept reading and saw that there were three categories of what was frowned upon when it came to interspecial marriage until I saw what was at the bottom of the page that talked about how there was a case about an African elephant and hedgehog marrying before starting a family while it took a second to understand what I was reading and I scrunched up my face at that.

"Wait, how the hell does that even work? Kid, your world is fucking bizarre," I admitted in confusion as Legosi shrugged.

"You said it, not me," Legosi remarked while I continued looking through the books and found one that talked about legal age requirements, showing that I had to be 18 years or older while Haru had to be 16 years or older, but I frowned when I saw that I needed the parents' approval for marriage since she was under 20.

'Oh great, it's going to be fun trying to get her parents' approval and I could just imagine how that's going to go,' I thought dryly as I put the book away, then Legosi and I left the bookstore before we kept walking.

As I looked at the people around us, I didn't see a single interspecial couple at all and understood that their social experience and common sense dictates that they be with someone of their own species but I was the only human in this world and it made me wonder if I would ever be able to settle down with Haru when I knew that this broken society wouldn't approve of us being together, then there was the fact that I would have to get a job to sustain us and even that would be difficult since I basically had a criminal record now.

'Yep, just another day in this fucked up life of mine,' I thought cynically before I almost bumped into two herbivores, the female letting out a startled yelp and I held my hands up as I took a step back.

"Crap, sorry about that," I said sheepishly, only that freaked them out even more as they walked away quickly and the male whispered to his girlfriend about how I was a freak and completely dangerous because of my scars, then I looked dejected as I kept walking with Legosi and he stared at me in concern.

"Don't listen to what he said, Connor," Legosi reassured and I sighed.

"I know, it's just that I've realized that I'm the only human in this world so it'll take a while to get used to that," I admitted solemnly as we continued walking to the train station.

After that, we took the train and I ignored the wary stares while I looked at the ground as the train eventually came to a stop, then Legosi and I left the station before we soon arrived at a familiar pair of stairs and walked up to our destination.

"Well kid, I'm not in a university, I'm not employed and on top of that, I'm an ex-convict so I have to find my own path in this new life of mine now that I'm human again so I can live life without regrets," I said as we reached the overlook that I confessed to Haru months ago, then we rested our arms on the railing while Legosi sighed.

"I know what I want to do...I'm going to drop out of school," Legosi told me stoically with a solemn smile as I looked at him in surprise.

"Are you sure? You're talking about sacrificing your entire future, kid," I pointed out and Legosi scowled bitterly.

"Yeah, because I can't go back to a place that covered up Tem's death and I'm sick of there being no justice in this world...Connor, I've seen everything in your life while we were one being, so many near-death situations and horrors you experienced while I have no idea how you were able to keep going.

I've been through a lot and suffered from so much loss...I'm still waiting for my turn," Legosi said and I looked at him while I softened my eyes.

"Legosi-" I tried to say and was cut off.

"My mother, she was the first to die, and then it was Tem," Legosi spat out while I sighed.

"Listen, none of that was your fault so don't you ever do that to yourself," I stated firmly before Legosi scoffed.

"You don't understand, Connor," Legosi told me guiltily and I turned to face him fully.

"Listen, I've struggled for a long time with surviving in that hellish environment, and you...no matter what, you keep finding something to fight for in this world and I know that's not what you want to hear, but you need to hear it because your grandfather and your friends care about you and wouldn't want this for you," I said as I showed a pained look while Legosi teared up.

"My grandfather...why was he still smiling after mom died? If it really affected him that much, then why did he keep smiling at me?" Legosi wondered before I rested a hand on his shoulder.

"Because he was trying to stay strong for you, even though he was devastated from losing his daughter so he tried to be there for you after she was gone," I replied sympathetically while Legosi sniffled and started crying.

"God, I was so horrible to him and he deserved better than that after everything we went through...I want to see him again, to tell him that I'm sorry for everything," Legosi whimpered while I patted his shoulder.

"I'm sure he'll like that," I assured before I let go of his shoulder and went back to watching the view.

'This was where I confessed to Haru, that was such a nice summer,' I thought with a soft smile until Legosi and I left the overlook after a short time.

Later on, I knew that I would have to face Haru eventually and it made me anxious as Legosi guided me to Haru's home since she texted him her address, then we finally arrived at a nice house and walked up to the front door before Legosi pressed a button on the intercom and we waited for a short while.

"Hello, who is this?" a female voice asked through the intercom.

"Hi, my name is Legosi and I know Haru so is she home?" Legosi questioned.

"Hold on for one moment," the woman said before I heard movement inside, then Haru shouted something about lesser panda Reina and it caused me and Legosi to look at each other with wide eyes before the front door opened until I could see Haru with an older female dwarf rabbit as they widened their eyes when they saw me.

"Sorry to disturb you, I'm lesser panda Reina and this is my friend Connor so good evening," Legosi greeted sheepishly, causing the two rabbits to whisper to one another while I was feeling a bit awkward.

"Well, you must be Legosi so it's wonderful to meet you and your new friend," the doe, who I assume was Haru's mother, replied as she bowed her head and we did the same.

"Good to meet you too, so is it alright if we talked to your daughter privately?" Legosi inquired as I shoved my hands in my pockets and I fidgeted, causing Haru's mother to look surprised until she nodded.

"Well, I suppose so since Haru here wanted to talk to you," Haru's mother answered before Haru left the house and all three of us walked away from the house until we arrived at the nearby park just as it started getting dark.

Pretty soon, we found a bench before Legosi and Haru sat down next to each other until there was nothing but awkward silence between all three of us while I was grimacing at how this was making me uncomfortable until Haru looked at Legosi in concern.

"Are you okay?" Haru asked and it caused Legosi to flinch.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine," Legosi uttered, looking beyond nervous as Haru sighed.

"I've been wondering, why can't you tell me why you're quitting school? That's just awful," Haru stated and Legosi avoided eye-contact with her.

"Sorry..." Legosi trailed off shyly while Haru appeared worried for him.

"You have even more scars now and you're suddenly friends with a strange creature that I've never seen before...I'm not going to lie, I'm getting tired of worrying about you since it's not good for my health," Haru admitted as Legosi looked guilty, then he rubbed the back of his head and looked at her.

"I'm sorry, Haru-chan," Legosi said quietly as he went to touch her shoulder, only he briefly made eye-contact with me and cringed before quickly moving his hand away from her and Haru frowned at that.

"I...um...want you to get to know Connor since I told him all about you and he's interested in talking with you...if that's okay," Legosi stuttered awkwardly while sending me a pleading expression, and I couldn't blame him since I was technically Haru's boyfriend, and chatting with her was making him very uncomfortable as I cleared my throat.

"Yeah, I want to get to know you better if you're alright with that," I spoke up uncertainly as I rubbed my arm, then Haru nodded slowly before Legosi stood up and let me sit down next to Haru.

"Well, I'm heading to the nearby convenience store to get us something so I won't be long," Legosi declared, just before Haru quickly grabbed his hand and he tensed up.

"Legosi-kun, that's not a good idea because I don't know him and he looks dangerous," Haru pointed out uneasily, making me feel dejected as I started looking like a kicked puppy and Legosi appeared frantic since he most likely didn't know what to do.

"Um..." Legosi squeaked as he looked like he was about to have a panic attack before I decided to screw it and confess right now since it's quite clear that this wasn't going anywhere and making things worse.

"Haru, I know you might not know me, but there's something I need to tell you," I said, making Legosi stare at me like I was nuts while Haru sent me a weird look.

"I'm sorry, but I have no reason to trust you so forgive me for being rude," Haru told me and I shook my head while she let go of Legosi's hand.

"No, it's fine since I'm someone you don't know...actually, that's not exactly true since we know each other in a sense," I said shyly before Haru looked at me strangely.

"I would think I'd know you since you're not exactly hard to miss," Haru pointed out, then I sighed at that.

"Good point...but this is going to sound really crazy so just hear me out, okay?" I suggested before Haru sent me an uncertain nod and I got ready to explain.

I told Haru everything about how I used to be a spirit that possessed Legosi's body and that I was the one she was dating for the past year, Legosi helping out by confirming it and Haru didn't believe it unsurprisingly so I managed to convince her by revealing things that only she and 'Legosi' would know.

Needless to say, she was in denial at first while getting up and backing away from me, only I managed to reassure her that it was true with the same smile she recognized before Haru was stunned and the long awkward silence made me concerned that it might've been too much for her.

Thankfully, she snapped out of it and told me that she needed time to think about what she just learned before I told her to take as long as she needed since I would wait, then we headed back to Haru's home and said our goodbyes before I realized that I had no place to stay and felt disheartened by that as Legosi and I walked away from Haru's place.

"What is it, Connor?" Legosi inquired as I looked at him with a grimace.

"Um...I just realized that I have no place to stay for the night so talk about a pain in the ass," I admitted sheepishly, causing Legosi to sweatdrop before he perked up.

"Actually, you could stay in my dorm room at Cherryton for a short time until I notify the faculty that I'm dropping out and packing up to leave," Legosi offered, surprising me but I was uncertain about it.

"Are you sure? I wouldn't want to impose and I don't know how Jack and the others will react since I would be quite the sight to them," I pointed out hesitantly, then Legosi patted me on the shoulder reassuringly.

"It's fine, and I'll talk to them so that they'll be more comfortable with you, not to mention that canines are curious about new things so I'm sure they'll be just fine meeting you," Legosi told me as we arrived at the train station.

"If you're sure..." I trailed off while Legosi used his card to get us through the toll booth before we went inside the hybrid car and I sat down on one of the seats.

I ignored the stares as I was lost in thought, thinking about how Jack and the other canines would react to me while the train was heading to the next station until I noticed something out of the corner of my eye, subtly looking to see a nearby male gazelle with crooked antlers and a facemask staring at me intently with eyes of a carnivore that made my skin crawl since something about him was sending red flags up in my mind.

I tried to ignore him but there was no denying that something about him creeped me the fuck out as the train came to a stop, prompting me to stand up and quickly leave the train car while Legosi followed me with an expression of confusion.

Legosi opened his mouth to ask what was wrong, only I sent him a reassuring look and he remained silent after that during our walk to Cherryton and arrived at the school gate, then we entered the courtyard and continued heading over to the male carnivore dorm until we went inside.

Legosi and I made sure to stay quiet during our trip to room 701 since it was better that no one saw me because I would either be interrogated by the dorm mother or kicked out of school grounds for trespassing while Legosi and I went up the stairs before making it to the door of room 701.

"Okay, you wait here and I'll tell the others about you before letting you know that it's okay to come in," Legosi instructed and I nodded.

"Sure, just don't take too long since I can't have anyone see me on school property," I suggested uneasily.

Legosi headed inside the dorm room while I heard Jack and the other chatting before the door closed shut, then I waited while resting against a wall with my arms crossed as there was a faint muffled conversation that I could barely hear until everything went silent after that, just before the door opened and Legosi poked his head out until he gestured for me to come in and I followed him inside the dorm room.

"Guys, this is Connor Monroe so I hope you could be friends with him since he's new to this country," Legosi introduced while Jack and the other canines widened their eyes once they saw me enter the room.

"Holy crap...you weren't bullshitting when you said that he looked different," Durham commented with a tilt of his head as he and the other canines curiously approached with Voss riding on Collot's head, just as I tentatively raised a hand in greeting.

"Hello, it's a pleasure to meet all of you," I said shyly before Jack and the others walked up to me, then they leaned forward to start sniffing me while I was beginning to feel uncomfortable at having my personal space invaded.

"Likewise, your scent is different than anything I've smelled before so you're certainly interesting," Miguno stated with a look of interest as I sent Legosi a pleading expression to convey how uncomfortable I was with them crowding me like this before the wolf cleared his throat.

"Um, guys, I think you're making him nervous by invading his personal space," Legosi pointed out, causing Jack and the others to back up while looking embarrassed.

"Sorry, we didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or anything," Jack told me and I smiled.

"It's fine, canines are known for being curious about new things so it's okay," I reassured with a wave of my hand.

"Anyway, I brought Connor here because he doesn't have a place to stay and I was wondering if he could sleep here for the night, as least until he finds an apartment?" Legosi asked, then the others huddled up and began whispering while I was feeling awkward with Legosi scratching the back of his head until they separated to look at us.

"Okay, we've discussed it and he can stay here for the night, so Connor can bunk with Voss' since his bed is big enough," Miguno agreed and I bowed my head humbly.

"Thank you, you guys didn't have to agree to this so I really appreciate it," I said gratefully before Jack grinned.

"Hey, any new friend of Legosi's is a friend of ours, now make yourself at home," Jack replied, then I found myself getting acquainted with the other 701 canines before it was time for bed and I went into Voss' bunk until I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I stirred when I felt something tugging on my ear and woke up suddenly before I saw that Voss was dressed in his uniform and he smirked when he saw that I was awake as I sat up with a groan.

"Hey, time to get up and Legosi wanted me to tell you that he had to do a few things for whatever reason and that you are to meet him at the train station," Voss informed me until he exited his bunk, then I yawned as I also left the bunk in only a white t-shirt and boxers while I saw the others were fully dressed.

"You snore a lot, Connor," Durham remarked wryly and I felt my face turn red in embarrassment as I looked away.

"Sorry..." I trailed off sheepishly and the coyote waved it off.

"Nah, it's no big deal since Legosi does it as well so make sure to leave once everyone's in class, and also watch out for the dorm mother because she definitely won't be happy if she catches you here," Durham warned, making me nod since I knew just how overbearing the older female mandrill could be.

The others left the dorm room and I proceeded to take a shower, avoiding the bottles of shampoo since I had no idea what effects any of them would have on my hair or skin as I took an hour to fully clean myself until I was done, then I dried myself off with a towel and got dressed in the clothes I wore yesterday that were now clean.

I made sure that I didn't hear anyone outside and left the dorm room, sneaking out of the dorm while hoping that no one saw me as I went across the courtyard and finally made it to the gate, then I left the school grounds and continued my journey to the train station while anyone I passed by either stopped to stare at me or went out of their way to avoid me.

Pretty soon, I made it to the train station and waited for Legosi to show up as carnivores and herbivores alike gawked at my appearance while I sat at a bench before I spotted two deer speaking to a security guard and pointing at me, which I tensed up at since it looked like a confrontation was going to happen before I spotted Legosi approaching me, much to my relief as I stood up.

"Thank god you showed up, now we should get going because I think security is going to come over here to have a word with me," I stated as I gestured at the approaching security guard, causing Legosi to quietly suck in a breath since he was no doubt recalling the last time security confronted me while I was him.

"Come on, let's get out of here," Legosi told me quietly before we went over to the toll booth and Legosi used his card.

I could faintly hear the officer calling out for us as we hurried into the hybrid car until the doors closed, finding it very crowded as I was forced to stand next to Legosi while I ignored the perplexed stares once the train left the station.

"So, did you inform the faculty that you're dropping out of school?" I asked and Legosi nodded.

"Yeah, and I know where the nearest real estate office is on our next stop, so it shouldn't be hard to find an apartment that's cheap for us," Legosi replied, then I became lost in thought as two carnivores started shouting at each other.

"Get your paws off my shoulder, asshole!" an alligator growled at a tiger, who scowled back at him hotly.

"Shut the hell up and quit growling!" the tiger retorted irritably as something small bumped into my legs, causing me to look down to see a female merino sheep as she gazed up at me with wide eyes.

Then the sheep narrowed her eyes and suddenly clapped her hands onto her cheeks, causing me to wonder what the hell she was doing when she did it again and that's when I realized what she was doing as my eyes widened in horror to see her about to clap her cheeks with her hands a third time while the train stopped and the door opened.

I shoved the sheep out of the train car and she let out a startled yelp as I took Legosi's arm and hurried out of the train car with him stumbling right behind me while I looked at the sheep, who was sitting on the platform as she stared up at me in shock.

"T-That's very rude, and you shouldn't be on that train because it's dangerous for you!" I sputtered before pulling Legosi away from the platform and we left the station until I let him go.

"You okay, Connor?" Legosi asked as he rubbed his arm with a pained grimace.

"Sorry about that, I just can't believe that sheep was basically signaling for me to eat her so maybe she was suicidal...she had to be since no small herbivore has to be sane enough to take the hybrid train," I muttered as we went down the stairs and headed into the city streets.

"Connor, you probably shouldn't judge her like that because it's kinda rude," Legosi told me and I sighed.

"I know, just still shaken up by what happened so I won't judge her if I encounter her again and get to know her," I replied as we continued heading towards where the real estate office is supposedly at.

Later on, we arrived at a real estate office and I was becoming peeved by everyone staring at me like I was a freak, the judgemental looks annoying me since there was only so much I could take and my patience has its limits as Legosi and I reached one of the herbivores working at his desk before he saw us and looked at me strangely until he shook it off while Legosi and I sat down on two stools.

"Um, can I help you?" the herbivore with glasses asked as he put up a pleasant front.

"Yeah, we're here to rent an apartment, one that's cheap and fits us," Legosi said as the herbivore nodded and checked his laptop until he looked up at us with a smile.

"Well, there's one place that's perfect for you and your odd friend, so I'm going to have to ask a few questions to see if you two are eligible for it if that's okay," the herbivore told us and I smiled warmly.

"No, it's fine so what do you want to know?" I inquired and the herbivore got started after clearing his throat and adjusting his glasses.

Legosi and I were asked simple questions like our names, age, backgrounds, and previous jobs we might've worked while I answered that I grew up in the united states before doing jobs as a courier until I immigrated here a few days ago.

Then Legosi and I were asked if we had any criminal records, which I replied that I did but I wasn't comfortable discussing it and the employee was understanding about it as the questioning went on for what seemed like hours until he was finished just as someone entered the building and sat down on the stool next to Legosi.

"Well, everything seems to be in order so wait there for a few minutes until I'm done with her," the herbivore told us before he went to talk to the stranger that was next to Legosi.

"Hello, I wish to purchase an apartment that's cheap," the person said with a female voice and I quit paying attention after that as I waited for the herbivore to be done, then a few minutes went by and I found myself listening in again.

"This apartment's really packed, so what kind are you looking for anyway?" the herbivore inquired.

"A small one that would be perfect for my stature," the woman replied before the herbivore chuckled at that.

"Your stature? Hmm...oh, lucky for you, there are two vacant ones that are a bit on the small side and worn out, but most of the people who live there are because of special circumstances," the herbivore said.

"Why am I lucky?" the woman asked in confusion.

"Because there happens to be two lost sheep that want to live in the same apartment as you, so why don't you three try and be neighbors?" the herbivore offered as I looked to see who he was talking to, only to be surprised to see that it was the sheep Legosi and I encountered earlier today while she looked at me and Legosi with wide eyes.

"Oh..." Legosi trailed off as the sheep blinked at us.

"Sure, the strange creature with scars on his face is an ex-convict, but...well, this is the safety you can expect when you're trying to buy a cheap apartment!" the herbivore quipped before chuckling, not noticing the atmosphere turning uncomfortable between me, Legosi, and the sheep while she paled.

"Huh?" the sheep uttered dumbly.

At that moment, I knew that things were going to be pretty awkward for a while with our new neighbor as I looked away shyly and Legosi cleared his throat to get the employee's attention, then he chatted with him as I was tense.

'Oh crap, you've got to be fucking kidding me,' I thought as the conversation went on after that.

A/N Finally, I'm finished with this chapter so glad that's over with and things are definitely going to be awkward with Sebun and Connor for a while during their stay in the Hidden Condo.

So, did you guys like Melon's short appearance? I put him in this chapter to make things more interesting since he and Connor will encounter each other later on in the VIP club, so you can bet that all hell will break loose in the club with a shootout happening.

Well, let me know what you think and stay tuned.
