Justice and Vengeance
"What do you think we can do?" asked Hermione.
"I don't know, Mione, but its going to cause a hell of a lot of trouble either way" Harry shrugged his shoulders and sighed.
"You don't have to have a big thing over it"
"I know, but people will be expecting it"
"You've never cared for what most of the public have thought" Hermione reminded him.
"No… Anyway, we have them to deal with"
"You really want to go down this route?"
"No, but the law is the law – they have to die" Harry sighed. "Of course" he added, "There is always a way around things because I don't believe in the no-win scenario. The law says that we have to kill the family of those declared and found guilty of treason, right?"
"Yeah" Susan said.
"So we do it… We declare the House of Gillyflower extinct – thereby killing the family, if in name only if nothing else"
"What about the children?"
"We sort out the closing of the family, turn the majority of it over to the Goblins but make the kids wards of the Ministry and have them become adopted" Harry looked over at Dean who was sat quietly. "That do for you, mate?"
"All the money in the world can't bring back my family" he replied.
"No, and I am sorry for this" Harry said. "As for the Weasleys… I want Fleur taken care of, and I want to do it personally" and, even in the dark days of the war, Hermione had never seen such a look of anger and hate in her friend's eyes.
"You're not going dark, are you?"
"Wait and see" Harry shrugged. "Look, we have more important things to discuss such as the Final Settlement of Damages Act" referring to a motion put forth that would end payments to those affected by the war against Voldemort. Harry was dead set against it on the basis that a lot of those affected still needed specialist help and orphans who would get the help and payments for loss of family members, property and, and some cases, family homes that had been lived in for generations.
"True…" Hermione agreed. "I've asked around and I think we can depend on at least seven votes more than our voting block, but I don't know if it will be enough"
"If its not, I'll rise and demand it be sent to the Wizengamot for review by them and the Minister"
"But we don't have a Minister"
"Exactly"
"Sometimes, Harry, I wonder if you are sane"
"I wonder that myself some days" Harry smirked. "Dean, I'd love for you to come to dinner with me and Nyssa tonight – she's making a beef stew with dumplings"
"I would be honoured to dine at the table of Lord Potter and Lady Black"
"Dean, if you keep doing that I shall be forced to drop a sickle in your pants and unleash the Nibbler" Harry saw the ghost of a smile pass over the other man's face. "There is a lot of work we need to do, not just this and them, but I fear we'll have to do something drastic–" he stopped as an Owl swooped in and landed on the table in front of him. Harry took the note tied to one leg, unrolled it and read the thing several times before going a brilliant shade of red with anger – leading the others to feel magic start to electrify the air.
"What is it?" Hermione asked. Harry looked at her, opened his mouth, closed it again, stood and walked over to the hooks on the wall where he put on his battered, pit marked and heavily scared armour before clipping on the Sword of Gryffindor to his side and walking out the office.
"Bastards" Dean looked at the note, stood and followed Harry. The three women there looked amongst themselves before Susan reached over and read the note herself. She sharply looked at the still swinging door before looking at the note before scrunching it up in her fist and sighing.
"Susie?" Hannah spoke gently.
"It's a note from Fleur Weasley and Gillyflower. Bill Weasley broke them out of jail and they've kidnapped Teddy and holding him hostage at the Burrow" Susan said before touching her wand to the Auror badge she wore. "I want all on duty Aurors to gather in the DMLE briefing room in two minutes"
"Are you going to stop them?" Hermione asked.
"I have to, Hermione… What Harry and Dean plan is nothing more than murder"
"Compared to what they did to people? Compared to what Fleur did to Sue?" Hermione asked.
"Fleur was there?"
"Not at the end, but Harry always suspected she had a hand in it due to her Pureblood beliefs"
"Mistress!" an elf popped in and gave Susan a hastily written note by one of the Aurors.
"Thank you, Mary" and the elf nodded and popped away again. "Oh shit…" she whispered. The note was quick and to the point – Harry and Dean had declared a blood feud on the Weasley and Gillyflower families and were heading to the Burrow to extract their revenge.
"Them two against the family and the wards around the Burrow?" Hannah shook her head.
"Not just them" Susan replied and tried to decide what to do next.
"Then who?"
"All the ones that went to school with Su" Susan looked up at the other two in the room. "Ravenclaw just declared war"

People had waited for some time for this moment, Sue had been one of their house and the normally quiet and timid Ravenclaw members had decided that enough was enough and that they'd go on a war footing to stand with Harry and Dean in their moment of need. As they gathered outside the Burrow, the pop of apparition had them spin around before they relaxed at the sight of Seamus.
"I wouldn't miss this for anything" he said. "I didn't know Sue as much as Harry, but I did meet her once and twice and found her funny. I am here, though, for Dean and to support him"
"Welcome aboard" Cho Chang said grimly.
"Padma, are the wards in place?" Harry asked.
"Yes… If the Weasleys even suspect something, they will assume a change in magical frequency and wait for it to dissipate before coming out to check the ward stones" the young woman looked at Harry. "We can go when you want" and Harry nodded and looked at the poorly built house a distance away.
"Surround the house whilst invisible, put up one way entry charms on the windows and doors and move in on my signal" Harry closed his eyes and thought of Sue. Whatever happened in the next few minutes, he knew that neither Fleur or Gillyflower would leave the house alive or in one piece. "Move!" he said and blasted the door off the front and charged in with Dean, Seamus, Padma and Cho following close behind him. The rest of the house gained new holes as the walls were blasted apart and former Ravenclaws burst in and started firing curses as Molly, Ginny, Bill and Fleur Weasley started returning fire with Gillyflower holding onto a small child.
"We'll get the kid" Cho said, "You get the bitch"
"Right" Harry replied as he and Dean fired volley after volley as they walked without hesitation towards Fleur – isolating her from the rest of the Weasleys. No matter how good she was, the two men were veterans of war and they soon had her disarmed and pinned to the wall. "Did you think you were going to get away with this? With what you did to Dean's family? To Sue? To Teddy?" he shoved the wand into her throat.
"I demand you let me go free, you half blooded freak!" Fleur spat. Harry's gaze hardened and he punched her in the stomach – grinning as she winced from the impact of his fist.
"You are the freak, you whore… I know what you did to Sue, I know how you poisoned her mind and I know it was you that led her to her death" Harry's eyes were cold and filled with hate. "Dean, you have more claim to this bitch then me but I beg you to let me finish her"
"Only if I help" and Harry simply nodded before putting out one hand and, with a single gesture, tore off her robes to leave the Veela witch in her underwear. "Nothing worth having" Dean added with a shrug. As they discussed what to do, the pair were vaguely aware of the fact that battle had ceased and the Weasleys were all bound, gagged and very much injured. Without a second thought, he tore into Fleur's mind and found where her daughter was and simply summoned her with a twitch of a finger. Another twitch had the young girl stuck to a seat whilst Dean conjured ropes and tied them to her arms and legs so she was spread eagled from the floor to the ceiling.
"This… This is what happens when you cross me" and Harry pulled out the sword of Gryffindor and pierced Fleur's side – smirking as the witch cried out in pain as the sword went into her flesh. After a few minutes, he gave the sword to Dean who followed Harry's lead in hacking into the witch before he swung the sword twice and cut off both of her legs. The others in the room watched on without a flicker of emotion as the two men hacked away at the screaming witch and looked on as Harry roughly tied another rope around her neck. He watched as Fleur struggled in her remaining ropes to escape and crawl away, but she was still being held upright and bleeding. Taking out their wand once more, the pair cut away Fleur's remaining clothes so she was left naked before making small cuts and rubbing salt into the wounds so she was in constant pain. Fleur's daughter, meanwhile, watched with wide eyes as the two men slowly went about killing her mother in cold blooded but simple revenge. With a cold smile on his face, Dean pulled hard on the rope around her neck, snapping it with a loud cracking noise that had everybody else wince – but that was the only emotion they showed other than pleasure and satisfaction. Magic tried to keep her alive and her head slowly flopped on her now useless neck to look at Harry.
"Why…" she gargled through the blood trickling out of her mouth.
"An eye for an eye…" Harry replied. "Besides, I'm doing what is my right according to the law – you killed Sue Li, the woman that was going to be my wife and the mother of my child to be" and the eyes of every adult went wide with shock – nobody had known that little fact. "You took away my life, Fleur Weasley, and for that act I shall take away yours. But, before I do, you will know what it is like to lose a child" and he wordlessly brought the young girl whipping towards him – meeting the half way and causing it to run through her body.
"Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" Fleur screamed in rage and tried to use her remaining strength to get out the ropes and strangle Harry and Dean for what they had done, but it was no good. The black skinned man walked up to Fleur and punched in the bloody stomach – putting his wand in her mouth when she gasped.
"Go to hell, you whoring slutting bitch" and casting a blasting hex which obliterated almost all of her skull and sent bone fragments flying around along with brain and blood.
"Harry?" Hermione's voice broke the almost infinite silence. She stood with Susan and a number of Aurors whom all looked over the scene with disbelief.
"Its over" Harry started to shake and the sword of Gryffindor dropped to the floor as it was still buried in the body of the daughter of Fleur and Bill. "I've avenged Sue"
"Lord Potter, I arrest you and all these here on the suspicion of assault, murder and attempted murder" Susan's voice was barely above that of a whisper.
"You can try" Harry said as he looked at the body of Fleur and kicked it so hard his boot went into her torso. "I killed her and her child under ancient laws and rights to fulfil a blood feud. To aid me in my task, I called upon my bannermen and bannerwomen and I release them from all future obligations with my thanks" as he walked towards the remains of the front door where Aurors parted ranks for him to leave, he glanced at Susan. "Take Teddy back to his Aunt and tell her that it is all over and no harm will come to him like this again. The Weasleys are yours to do with, but Gillyflower is Dean's" and he paused before parting with a final comment. "I know you may think me vile for what I have just done, but I would still want you to be by my side during the wedding in a week's time" and, with that, a sad and broken man shuffled away.
A/N:
If you don't like this chapter, then I am sorry about that – but I am the author of the fanfic so its what I write…
Before people ask why I have put Sue instead of Su, the character's entry on the famous student list made up by Rowling shows a Sue Li and not a Su Li – therefore, I have used the canonical spelling as was intended and not the more accepted fandom version of the name.
As I have said, if you didn't like this chapter because of what Harry did, please feel free to no longer read the fic. It should be noted that the kid's death is true to what Harry said in other chapters… He wouldn't hurt a child which is why he made it as quick and painless as possible.
