Tom and his friends were in the Port Court, gathered around their table, watching a match on one of the nearby screens. Cassandra and Alexandre joined them a few minutes later.

The match was alright, but it did little to distract them from the undercurrent of anxiety going around the room. All six of them were quiet as they gazed around. It had been a few days since Alexandre had been captured by the M'arrillians.

They had checked on the creatures, who were standing close to the teleportation devices. All were watching them with fierce intensity as if expecting something to happen. That wasn't the only strange thing going on though. The leaders of three of the four tribes were there with Lore. They each stood close to each other and spoke together in low voices.

"They have been there for three days," Kaz commented uneasily as he pointed at Lore and the three tribal leaders.

"Yeah. Is there something going to happen or what?" Sarah asked, biting her lower lip.

"Maybe the M'arrillians might pay us a visit soon?" Peyton suggested nervously.

"I wouldn't think otherwise," Alexandre replied, surprisingly calm.

"I can't shake that feeling that they might appear soon. They won't care for the deal," Sarah commented glumly.

"They are too many creatures for them to handle at once," Cassandra reassured them, "I don't think they have enough Telebracers for an entire army."

"Of course not. There would be much more creatures here already otherwise," Tom pointed out as he tried to drink his beverage.

"Still…" Alexandre didn't dare say anymore. He just hoped that it was a false alert, or that it would only be a few M'arrillians that would come here. He knew that that wouldn't be the case though. They had no chance to invade Chaotic with just a few soldiers. They would be immediately found and disposed of.

The other five also had that gut feeling, just like him. That if something would come, it would be big.

Chapter 66: Battle For Chaotic Part 1

Milla'iin chuckled as Bahrakatan finally presented his invention. Everything had gone well. The finishing touches had been placed quickly and the invention had been tested in a safe location. Taking it all in, he placed his tendril against it.

It was a large portal that would bring them directly to Chaotic. The portal had required a few special items, scavenged from those three scanners they had somehow managed to collect. However, despite the scarcity of the materials and the constant annoyance from the rebels, everything had progressed quickly. Now, Milla'iin knew victory was on their side, "This is perfect. We are ready to move on with the plan."

"What about the rebels?" The Coralsmith grunted as he stepped away from the portal.

"We just need to outplay them. We have to force them to hide and prepare to stop us. However, we will be already gone when they think of doing anything," Milla'iin gazed at the other creature, "I already have an idea of who that might be. Someone whose thoughts were often closed off. As if he had something to hide. Such as when we had the human. He thought he could hide everything, but he failed," Milla'iin chuckled.

"And you didn't send the alert for that?" Bahrakatan asked, finding Milla'iin's idea both annoying and clever. If they didn't have to waste time against the rebels, they would have their full force going through the portal. However, this would let them get the upper hand on the rebels.

"Yes. Let the traitor think he got away with it," Milla'iin snickered, "I have been slow. I didn't realize he was the traitor until I went to rest."

"You were too busy being angry at the human's escape. Of course, you couldn't see a traitor. You shouldn't let your anger control you again. Because next time it happens, the plan will fail," Bahrakatan warned his chief.

"I am well aware! Still, when we get there, we will make those humans pay for our defeat! We will capture the five of them! The Messenger first. The creatures there will then have no choice but to surrender. They will not be able to teleport anywhere else!" The chieftain declared with enthusiasm.

Bahrakatan however, wasn't that enthusiastic about the invasion. A bit of what the Messenger of the Cothica had said haunted him. He didn't dare express those thoughts though. He had tried to ignore those words. After all, it was a human who had said those words, "When do you want to attack?"

"I will call everyone here soon and then we will attack. Everything is ready," Milla'iin replied as he gazed at the portal.

The Coralsmith thought of something. He could try to sabotage it to protect the Cothica, but he pushed that thought away. He wanted to see the Cothica and see who the Lord who created the Cothica was. Shaking his head, Bahrakatan waited for the chieftain to come back with the army.

Chaor watched the teleportation devices and grunted impatiently. His nerves strained the longer he waited. His instinct told him that something would happen today. The soldiers were present. They were hidden with the other tribes, ready to spring in action at any sign of the M'arrillians. Growling in frustration he gazed at Maxxor. "When are they coming? We have to end this once and for all."

Theb-Saar stood near the Underworlder, "Agreed. It is best to end this and anything else the M'arrillians wish to do. Their ambitions must be crushed forever." Theb-Saar stared at the Port Court with concern.

Maxxor walked over towards the table where Tom was sitting. He needed to be close and act if the M'arrillians came suddenly. He also wanted to talk about something he didn't have time to talk about.

"Maxxor," Tom called out, waving his hand.

"Hello Tom," Maxxor greeted, nodding at the others as he sat down with them.

"Do you know what's going on here?" Cassandra asked Maxxor, pointing at the other rulers.

"Yes. We have a feeling that something is about to happen, but I cannot say more," Maxxor replied.

Kaz sighed, "M'arrillians are coming...right?"

Maxxor nodded, "Yes. They are coming soon. We don't know when, but you need to be on your guard. Maybe you should even port out before it begins."

"We can't just leave like that," Sarah explained, "We're also code. We won't die and we will get a new set of codes. The Codemasters sent a message to remind us of that yesterday." Sarah showed it on her scanner.

Maxxor let out a small sigh.

Theb-Saar joined him and crossed his arms, "I do believe it might be for the best. In the middle of the action, we might forget that detail." He tapped his tail on the shoulder of his guide, "You look and feel real."

The humans gazed at each other.

Cassandra sighed, "What can we even do if we end up in this battle?"

The teenagers had to admit that they couldn't do anything.

"Is there even another way to escape if they come from the Port Court?" Kaz wondered.

"We never saw how the Codemasters come here. They might zap around," Peyton said, making a few sounds.

"We don't know anything about what they can do," Sarah complained as she tapped the table with her fingers.

Alexandre was pensive as he turned towards the ruler of Al-Mipedim, "I think it might be for the best that we don't stay here today. We don't have any matches and we are targets for them. I'd rather avoid being a hostage again. I cannot just port somewhere else this time."

Cassandra nodded and stood up, "He's right Kaz. We don't have anything planned and they'll go after you again. We can't fight them or do anything against them," she put her hand on the shoulder of her son, "I know you might not like it, but-"

"I know. We can't be a burden to anyone," Kaz sighed. It wasn't that easy to admit she was right. He would rather witness everything going down instead of wondering everything that would happen.

The humans stood up and went towards the Port Court. It was for the best. However, they didn't walk for long before they noticed something strange happening. They covered their eyes as something began to shine. Anyone near it quickly backed away. The players were now quickly talking to each other or yelling fearfully.

Suddenly an alarm was raised, "Everyone! Back away from the Port Court!"

Just before the strange phenomenon began occurring, the Codemasters watched the Port Court system.

"What is going on, Tirasis?" Imthor asked when he noticed the Codemaster watching the system more carefully.

Tirasis was the expert on the inner workings of the computer systems of Chaotic and on Earth. He was carefully watching the data from the system that teleported the humans into Perim and back to Chaotic and replied, "Something is trying to enter the system. It's not a small one where a player just comes in or the creatures with their Telebracers. It's something bigger."

Hotekk frowned as Tirasis said those words, "I'm moving the machine closer to the portal and putting the defense system on stand-by-ready."

Crellan forced himself not to comment on the fact that Hotekk was taking everything seriously and wasn't complaining or trying to insult anyone. He took it as a sign that they were in a very grave situation.

"Do it," Imthor ordered, "I'm assuming leadership for this situation. Obey my commands without any questions, unless it could harm any creatures or humans."

"Yes Imthor!" the other Codemasters all replied at the same time.

Focused on the situation at hand they noticed that something was happening in the Port Court.

"A portal is opening right now!" Tirasis called out.

"Crellan, send the alert," Imthor ordered.

"Understood. Everyone! Back away from the Port Court! M'arrillians are coming! Go to the Drome Court and wait for further instructions."

They watched the humans quickly evacuate the Port Court. It was good news that they hadn't asked any questions or waited.

Hotekk quickly began to activate the defense systems, "I'll activate everything under Code Red."

"Do it now. I'll handle Michel's outburst if he doesn't like this," Imthor replied as he watched the screen.

"Okay," Hotekk replied as he prepared everything as the portal finished forming.

They saw the portal open and, on another camera, the creatures quickly came out of their hiding spots.

Tom and his friends quickly rushed towards the Beta Drome.

"How are we getting out of here now?" Kaz asked as they had to wait for the train to come with many more players. They didn't know how long before it would be their turn. They had to wait and hoped for the best.

They were a few robots who guided the players quickly when the door of the train was opened.

"Please come one at a time. We don't want to waste time with people fighting against each other," the robot said as it rolled its arm.

Cassandra was behind them and looked back, "Nothing is coming here so far. Everyone, no matter what happens, do not turn back." She looked at the teenagers and her friend, "Doing so will only cause problems for everyone."

They soon advanced on the line when a train came back. Peyton nodded, "Not turning back Miss Cassandra. I ain't gonna be a problem for them."

Alexandre chuckled, "I do wonder if there is another way out of here. If we are going for the Beta Drome, it's only temporary."

"Why is everyone on this Drome?" Sarah asked herself as she scratched her jaw.

"It has to be something about a way out of a safe place," Alexandre commented.

The line advanced once again. They knew it would take a long time before it would be their turn. The transportation system wasn't made to work for an evacuation. They guessed there was nothing made for an invasion. No one would expect this to happen.

The creatures stood ready as they pointed their weapons at the portal. They waited for the M'arrillians to come out.

There were around eighty creatures with their leaders. Now they were simply waiting for the M'arrillians to come out. They had no intention of letting that tribe be victorious.

Chaor quietly growled as he prepared his fire attacks with the others by his side.

The other rulers were also waiting for the enemies to come up. They too felt the tension in the air.

The creatures were breathing loudly as they charged their weapons up. Now, it was just about aiming and waiting.

A few of the defense machines went around the creatures and also aimed their weapons.

They waited a little longer, but nothing came out.

Chaor grunted, "What are they waiting for?"

"That we drop our guard for one second," Theb-Saar replied.

They knew that soon, Chaotic would turn into a battlefield.

AC: This is the end of this chapter.

Next: Hope you are ready for the second part.

The M'arrillians begin their invasion of Chaotic and a large battle begins. Tom and his friends wait to embark on the train, but something told them they wouldn't reach the train.
