Peyton kept his eyes on his scanner. He had read the last message Kaz had sent him. He knew his friends were probably fighting the M'arrillians right now and he had no updates and knew it would be that way for a while.
Ario grumbled as the belt dug into his gut. He just wanted to free himself from it, but Judy insisted he buckle up for his own security. At, that he had so many things he wanted to say, but didn't, "Anything with the others?"
"Nothing. I got nothing and I know they won't call dude," Peyton sighed.
"They are surely going to be fine Peyton," Gathup encouraged him.
"They know the M'arrillians are coming and they are surely prepared to welcome them," his mother smiled.
"Somehow… I believe you mean that literally," Ario gazed at her with doubt.
The other two couldn't disagree with him.
"Anyway," Judy let out a small smile. Compared to the other one, they wondered if she had noticed the green Mipedians insult, "It might get bumpy up ahead."
The green scales paled at that silent threat, "Sorry."
"No problem."
The two in the back chuckled nervously.
"If things get really wrong, the Codemasters will call," Gathup concluded.
"Yeah."
"For now, just believe in them Peyton," the orange Mipedian put his hand on the boy's shoulder, "Because they are ready to fight them back."
"Right dude!" He smiled.
"And we will be there to help them," Ario grumbled. He then cracked his knuckles, "Don't forget to protect your mind when we get there."
"We won't," the three replied.
Peyton looked out the window. They were far from the city and were reaching the hills. There were many fields and a few farms spread around. They were approaching their destination.
Chapter 95: Siege Part 2
Aval'par flew down the stairs and noticed Kaz ready to greet any M'arrillians that came through the door. He also saw Rothar turn his head in his direction. Behind him Agitos readied his axe. The only two he didn't notice were Tom and his mother Annie.
"M'arrillian!" The minotaur yelled as he stood up and raised his rusted pipe. He swung it, but the other flew around him.
Agitos came up from behind and swung the axe, but missed his enemy.
Cassandra aimed and fired.
The bullet pierced Aval'par's arm, going through it and into a wall. It was ineffective.
That was what she thought, until the M'arrillian grunted.
Aval'par put his hand on his arm. It was the most horrible sensation of his life. He saw Rothar coming at him and tried to dodge, but it was useless. The pipe hit the shoulder plate of his coral armor, but he felt the impact, landing on the ground.
Kaz yelled and smashed his baseball bat on him, hitting the creature right in the gut.
The purple M'arrillian took a few steps back and groaned. He gazed at them and chuckled, "Looks like they are here."
The four realized it was the other M'arrillians who had rushed at the door. With one bang, the door was breached and two of them entered the house.
Tom suddenly showed up from the kitchen and fired with his rifle, hitting the shoulder of one of the creatures who had entered the house.
The pincer of the Kha'rall deflected the bullet, sending it to the ground
Aval'par hurried and grabbed Tom's ankle, "I'll be taking you with us now." He prepared to retreat but was hit by a flying pan on his face. He dropped the boy and turned towards the woman who hit him with the improvised weapon, "You!'' He didn't forget the humiliation this woman brought to himself. He raised his tendril to grab her, but she avoided it.
Rothar smashed the pipe on his chest and pushed him away.
Agitos was busy handling the foot soldiers of Aval'par with the axe. He forced them to retreat as the room was too small for any of the creatures to do as they wanted.
Cassandra fired a few shots at the M'arrillians, hitting them, the pain forcing them a few steps back.
One of them began approaching her, but Tom fired and hit their side.
The Kha'rall felt the bullet stuck in his gut and put his hand on it. It hurt so much that he didn't notice Rothar hit him, smashing his face and knocking him out.
The Chieftain was about to grab Kaz when Intress came and flash kicked him in the back, making him fall to the ground.
Rothar already switched targets to the other M'arrillians and fought with Agitos to defeat them, or at least force them to retreat. He just saw more of them coming and coming.
At the back of the house, Justine heard the chaos in the living room. She knew their house was getting destroyed. Still, it could be rebuilt.
Her husband kept firing at the M'arrillians while Arias took care of them at close range.
He stopped as he reloaded it, checking on the ram and saw that he was handling them with some ease.
Arias dodged the many water attacks coming at him. There were two remaining, the other one passed out because of his injuries. He jumped back and quickly countered with an earth attack. The group split in two and the Kha'ralls lost their balance.
He quickly charged at them and rammed one of them shoulder first in the chest. He quickly summoned the power of the earth on his fist and punched the enemy right in the jaw. He sent the M'arrillian in the air and fell on his back. He heard another shot and turned around.
The last one left his comrade behind and ran away, leaving a small trail of blood behind.
Arias sighed. He didn't care if a few of them cowered away. He panted and returned to the house. He had a few wounds that would need to be checked later. Right now, he had a feeling that most of them had attacked the front.
Inside, Donald noticed it and told his wife, "Warn me if more come through the back," he turned around and went to the living room.
"Yes!" She checked on the clock and noticed that ten minutes had already passed.
Donald reached the room and saw a few Kha'ralls trying to break in, but were pushed back by Rothar and Agitos. To the side, he saw Intress and Aval'par fighting against each other.
Determined, he aimed at the many creatures and fired a few times, but ran out of ammo and had to reload.
Meanwhile, Kaz was grabbed by his wrist and was pulled outside, "Hey!"
"Kaz!" Cassandra tried to follow him, but her ankle hurt, making her lose her balance. She couldn't fire with her gun and risk hurting her son.
Rothar and Agitos noticed it, but were busy right now.
The blue Underworlder was busy keeping his head attached to his body. The M'arrillian's pincer tried to press on his neck. It was too close. He grunted as he tried to resist the other. He wasn't the most muscular Underworlder, pretty much below average for his tribe. Still, he had trained a lot and wouldn't let a low grade M'arrillian get the better of him.
Tom aimed with his rifle and saved Agitos with one shot right between the eyes of the M'arrillian.
Agitos freed himself and sent a fireball at the M'arrillian attacking Rothar, before he jumped outside to pursue the creature who had taken Kaz.
The minotaur grumbled as another one jumped at him after he took care of the first one. He wasn't the one to impress Cassandra with a rescue mission.
Outside, Agitos quickly noticed the creature who had taken the boy and quickly dashed after him. He saw one or two M'arrillians behind him. He didn't slow down as he closed the distance.
Kaz grunted and tried to escape.
"Stop struggling human! We need to get you alive, but I won't hesitate to break your legs if you keep this up!" He grunted at the boy.
Kaz had one free hand and got an idea, "Better that than to follow you!" He suddenly dug his fingers into the creature's eyeball.
The Kha'rall dropped him on the ground and screamed painfully.
Kaz didn't lose a second. The moment he was free, he ran away, and noticed Agitos rushing towards him.
The Underworlder let out a small smile and chuckled, "You got him," he went past the boy and engaged the creature.
Kaz knew it was time to go back inside as one of the M'arrillians turned back to take care of them. He had no weapons to defend himself, so he had to run away from the creature.
Arias suddenly showed up and tackled the M'arrillian, then lifted the heavy creature above his shoulders.
The Kha'rall immediately panicked as he left the ground, trying to move or do anything, but it wasn't possible.
The Overworlder threw him on the ground brutally. He then jumped in the air and smashed the ground. The land rose and rocks smashed the other creatures a few times.
Intress tackled Aval'par outside of the house, but was quickly thrown away by a tendril.
The purple M'arrillian raised his hands and called the power of water, sending it towards her. The wave of water rushed towards her, but she quickly dodged, jumping into the air. He winced as he felt a bullet pass through his gut. He put his hand on his gut just as he was punched right in the middle of his large eyeball. He screamed in pain and rage as he whipped her away. Furious, he sent ice shards and almost hit her, grazing her, but it wasn't enough. He raised his hand and created a wall of ice to protect himself from the humans who were shooting at him.
Intress panted as she stood up and ignored the pain. She had support from the humans while the other one was on his own. Summoning a vine in her hands and she whipped the enemy as he opened himself for an attack, launching his own. She charged and jumped above a large water wave and landed on the shoulders of the creature. "I'll make you regret attacking Tom and everyone else!" She sent a few ice shards at the creature and pierced the shoulder plates and a part of his side. She had failed to reach the head or any other vulnerable part as he quickly moved away, but she saw the ice pierce his legs.
Aval'par fell to the ground. Quickly, he turned around and was punched in the stomach. He raised his hand, but Intress moved away before he could use his water attack. Not wasting any time, his eye shone as he sent Iron Balls towards her.
Intress crossed her arms, blocking the attack. She grunted in pain as the other creature charged at her. Intress punched the ground and spikes came out of the ground, hitting the M'arrillian.
The Chieftain was on the ground. He tried to stand up, but the land restrained him.
Meanwhile, Agitos, his body covered with bruises and a cut on his chest.
Besides him, Arias came with his left arm bleeding, already done with his opponent Rothar followed, ignoring the wounds on his neck and legs as he held his pipe, covered with the blue blood of the unfortunate M'arrillians.
"It's over Aval'par. They are all down," Rothar told him with a grin.
The purple creature chuckled, "More will come soon. They know you are here."
Intress put her foot on his breastplate, "And they will fall. There is a nasty surprise coming for them."
Agitos cracked his knuckles, "And we will need your help afterward." He approached, but stopped as he noticed the panic on his face. He knew Aval'par was ready to alert the others. Quickly, he smashed his face and knocked him out.
The four creatures panted.
Arias sighed, "He called the others."
"Not about the surprise," Agitos told them.
The ram turned towards Kaz, who joined them, then grabbed the unconscious creature, "How long?"
The boy checked his scanner, "They will be here soon…ten minutes."
They knew the worst had yet to come, so they returned to the house to treat their wounds and prepare for reinforcements. They also needed to restrain the chieftain, so he wouldn't cause any problems.
AC: This part is done and they got a prisoner.
The third and final part of the siege is coming soon. Help is getting closer.
