Hello! Hello!

I am so happy to have made it this far, I have officially written sixty chapters for this story and it's been worth it. You all are so good to me, I am so pleased that so many of you enjoy this story it really means a lot to me.

Let's hope that as this continues it's only going to get better.

I am sorry for spelling mistakes, don't those just get under your skin.

So as always read and don't forget to review.

Now onwards my dears!

Hanabi had thought that no one had noticed her recent actions; that she was going a good job of covering up her tracks. But she hadn't covered them well enough to draw attention to herself.

Temari had known for a while that Hanabi was up to no good once again, she had been onto her from the start. Only reason she hadn't said anything was because she knew that Hinata still was not on good terms with her sister and would most likely lash out at her in a violent way. Surprising as it was for Hinata to be aggressive; sadly this was becoming the norm between the two sisters. Every time Hanabi tried to confront Hinata she would only get a hurtful response that left her feeling rather hollow. That's why Temari had been secretly observing Hanabi's movements for a while now. She knew that Hanabi had been going to the prison to meet with Kazu. She knew that once again she was up to something; but it wasn't her place to call her out like that. Even if she so desperately wanted too; Temari was fed up with Hanabi all she had done was complicate things to no end. It was very tiresome but she was aware that Hinata probably wouldn't want her dealing with Hanabi.

So Temari was left feeling frustrated keeping her mouth shut, she had considered telling Gaara but then remembered that her little brother would remind her that he wouldn't get involved unless Hinata asked him too. There was some relief as Kankuro was the only one besides her that knew. The two would often talk about what could be done about Hanabi since both of them were aware of her actions. They had reached a conclusion that if neither of them could figure it out for themselves then they'd have no choice but to bring Gaara into it. But as least for the time being Temari knew that all she could do was keep observing Hanabi and wait and see what she did.

"Temari-san is something wrong?".

"Hina-chan I'm fine, it's you that I should be asking that".

"Why?".

"You've already done so much for Gaara, not to mention that you've just had a baby. I can only imagine what you're going through".

The bluenette gave a silent giggle "Temari-san I assure you that I'm perfectly alright. Hena is helping me a lot with caring for Imari. She's become like a miniature mother".

The blonde laughed a bit "You should feel proud. Imari has a wonderful mother".

"Gaara? Gaara?! Are you listening to me?".

Kankuro waved a hand in front of his younger brother's face. He looked like he was lost in his own little world. It was quite unusual for the red head not to be so utterly focused on a task at hand. But now that the puppet master took a closer look his brother looked…he didn't exactly look alright to say the least. It would be another few minutes before he had his brother's attention.

"Kankuro did you say something?".

"Ugh! Gaara have you been feeling alright. What's come over you?".

"I'm fine, there's nothing wrong".

The older brother raised an eyebrow "Then can you tell me what we were just talking about?".

The younger brother opened his mouth to answer but oddly enough nothing came out. That left him feeling rather embarrassed. His brother had caught him red handed.

"Thought so. Hey man, are you sure that all's peachy keen? I think your body is trying to tell you something".

The Kazekage just leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes as he ran a hand through his hair. He hadn't had a break since the death of Matsuri; he had already done all that was needed on his end to see what the cause of it was. Baki was still undergoing his investigation promising results as soon as he had something to go on. But maybe Kankuro did have a point; Gaara was the kind of person that tended to neglect the needs of his health, more than often his bad habit had gotten him scolded from his siblings in the past. Seems as though it was finally starting to catch up to him, he hadn't slept for a while now instead choosing to concentrate on work.

Kankuro was quick to notice that Gaara seemed a lot paler than normal. Definitely not a good sign; he was probably catching a cold.

"Gaara maybe you should take a break".

"Hm? Sorry what did you say?".

The puppet master pinched the bridge of his nose "Gaara get the hell out of this damn office. You are not acting normal".

"You're kicking me out of my own workplace?".

Kankuro's eyes narrowed "I'll have to be forced to do that if you don't hop off your ass and get too it".

"I'm the Kazekage, I can't simply leave".

The brunette gritted his teeth in annoyance "Gaara, I will not repeat myself. Either you go and get some rest or so help me I will drag you out and tie you down to your bed until you well enough to get back to your duties".

Sensing how dead serious his brother was, the red head reluctantly left his office. Oh, he had protested about it but Kankuro wouldn't hear any of it. If he had the energy to ramble about shit, then he could easily be using it to getting some rest. Actually if Gaara really thought about it; his brother had been spot on with his current state. The moment he had left the office, his head started to throb forcing him to lean against the nearest wall.

Headaches were not a stranger to him due to constant stress. Over the years he had learned to deal with them but occasionally it was just too much for him.

"Gaara-dana?".

The sound of his wife's voice caused him to open one eye so he could look in her direction.

"Are you alright? I wanted to check up on you. Kankuro-san told you that you might be coming down with something".

He wasn't surprised that his brother would report this to his wife. Suppose that this was some kind of weird brotherly love or whatever. At least Kankuro was doing his job of keeping his little brother in check even if he sometimes had funny ways of doing it.

"I'm fine, really I am".

She didn't buy it. In two steps she had placed her hand on his forehead and gasped "Gaara-dana you've got a fever".

As if on cue he winced as a sharp streak of pain shot through his head. Hinata was quick to support him as she escorted him down the many halls to their bedroom where she help lay him down before wetting a cold cloth and placing it on top of his head.

"Gaara-dana why didn't you tell me you weren't feeling well?".

"Hinata, its fine. This is not the first time that this has happened".

Gaara immediately regretting saying that because his wife let him have it with a furious lecture about how important it was to maintain one's health; she sounded like his siblings only much worse. He felt his head throb once again but then he felt a calm and soothing effect wash over him and just like that his headache was gone.

"I didn't know you could use medical ninjutsu".

Hinata blushed slightly "I-I can, I'm not as skilled as others. But I can probably save a life if I have too". She tapped his nose "You are not moving for the rest of the day. Until the fever passes all you can do now is sleep".

Her husband naturally wanted to say otherwise but she placed her index finger on his lips "Now, now I know what's best. Don't be difficult Gaara-dana".

Her hand caressed his cheek "Please at least do this for me. I know that it's been hard and you've done so much but I do not want you neglecting your body because of stress".

"You remind me of how I always say that to you".

She smiled "Sleep now, I'll get some medicine".

The bluenette had been coming back when she noticed Hanabi out of the corner of her eye. Funny, what could her sister possibly be doing? She couldn't just be out for a simple walk.

Hinata was very quick to notice that Hanabi was heading in the direction of the prison. This caused her to raise an eyebrow as several emotions began to make themselves known within her. Hinata had a bad feeling about what Hanabi was up too, it left a lump in her throat. But almost instinctively against her will her legs had began to follow her sister through the streets until they took her to the prison. At this point Hinata wasn't really that surprised even though she should be. She had a hunch before that Hanabi was doing something behind her back and this was the result of that. But now the question remained why was Hanabi getting involved with something like this in the first place?

She was shocked to see her sister get pass the guards so easily. What had she done to manipulate them so well? Deciding that she didn't have a moment to lose, Hinata was quick to confront the guards.

"What is my sister doing here? Who gave her permission?".

"L-Lady Hinata! Uh…your younger sister was given access by your husband Lord Kazekage. She's been coming here for a while now".

Hinata resisted the urge to scream in anger, no wonder she wasn't seeing Hanabi as of lately this is where she was going. Instead she gave a small fake smile "Oh? Is that right, well then would you allow me to follow after her".

"Yes of course, please go right ahead".

Hinata really didn't know what was worse, her sister was somewhat smarter then she thought. Or the guards here were all incredibly stupid. She didn't have time to think about that right now. She had to keep up with Hanabi; Hinata had figured out relatively quickly that Hanabi was most likely going to see the one person that she knew she thought would have all the answers.

Sure enough when she rounded a corner she saw her sister standing outside Kazu's cell. Careful not to give away her presence the bluenette knew that before she could bust Hanabi at the very least she had to listen to what they were talking about.

"Back so soon little one? Aw I knew you'd miss me".

"Shut up. I've been thinking".

"Sounds rather boring".

Hanabi gave him a sneer "I thought about what you said, about how someone may have planned Matsuri's death. I've been wondering something".

"Hmm alright I'll hear you".

Hanabi took a step forward "Was it possibly you? I know that my father had wanted you to kill Hinata, but that doesn't mean you could still be trying to do so in your own way. Was Matsuri's death an omen that something else will come?".

Kazu had to give a good laugh before he cracked a grin "Seems as though someone is getting in a little too deep. But you may have a point about one thing".

"So it's true?".

"I wouldn't say that".

Hanabi let out an irritated groan; there he went again trying to confuse her. Why did she bother coming here at this point she honestly didn't know.

"I won't do anything if you told me. I'm not even supposed to be talking to you. But don't think that this won't stay quiet for long as we speak there's still an investigation going on and sooner or later all the answers will come spilling".

Another laugh "Then if you think you're so clever then answer me this girl, what do you hope to accomplish? What good do you this will do you?".

"…I don't know".

"Then wouldn't you say coming here and amusing me has been a waste of your time".

"No! I-I mean I haven't just been running around in circles".

Kazu raised an eyebrow "I don't know about that. But at the very least you've been a naughty girl, sneaking around the backs of important figures convincing yourself that you're doing something right. Well I hate to burst your bubble but you haven't done shit".

Hanabi clenched her fists tightly till her knuckles turned white. It was taking all she had in her not to break down the cell door and strike his heart. The irony was that Kazu had been right. Hanabi wasn't really doing anything but being a giant pain in the ass for everyone she knew. Still she had talked herself into this and now she really had no way of getting out of it.

A grin "Go home little one".

Hanabi narrowed her eyes "Excuse me? Do you know who you're addressing".

"You are most certainly not a threat in my eyes. Stop trying to pretend you're a hero or whatever cause you ain't. If anything you're like a parasite that's clinging to its host reaping the benefits. I'm surprised your still alive to begin with since you've taking it upon yourself to stick your nose where it don't belong".

Pearl eyes couldn't hide the anger that had swelled up inside. Was she really that open? All this time was it all for not?

"Go home girl, stop coming here. You'll only end up digging your grave deeper".

"But I-".

"Go home. Enough of this, don't coming bugging me anymore".

Hanabi hesitate for a few seconds before she slowly took her leave. In a way Kazu had been right about everything. The only person she was fooling was herself, what had she been doing all this time? All she had wanted was to win her sister's approval and instead she had only raised everyone's suspicions even higher. When would Hanabi learn the difference between right and wrong? She didn't have the time to recollect her thoughts because the instant she had turned to head for the exit she was grabbed roughly by her collar and slammed against the nearest wall. A tight grip had made its way around her neck and it took her a moment after the stun to see her older sister looking at her with eyes full of murder.

"Hanabi how many times do I have to tell you no before you finally listen".

She let out a grunt of pain and her sister punched her in the stomach. She had no idea that Hinata had been followed her here. That should've been expected, she was surprised that it wasn't someone else the last person she thought it would be was Hinata.

"What did you think you were doing?!".

She could only let out another grunt as Hinata punched her harder "Answer me!".

"I wanted to help you" she wheezed.

Hinata's narrowed her eyes even more "Help me?! What on earth could you possibly help me with, you can't even help yourself!".

This time it was a punch to the face, her left side was now a mess and it was starting to swell. But if Hanabi was honest with herself she knew that she deserved this completely. Every time her elder sister struck her it was payback for all the fucked up shit that she had put her through. In some messed up way Hanabi was almost glad that Hinata was letting her feel her wrath since it meant that Hinata still somewhat cared in her own twisted way. One would say that Hanabi was leaning towards turning into a masochist but in Hanabi's mind it was the only thing keeping her already fragile bond with her sister going.

Hinata wanted to scream at Hanabi but she knew that this wasn't a good place to do so. Oh, she was going to let Hanabi have it later but first she needed to get out of here. Quickly dragging her good for nothing sister back to the tower she once again pinned her against the nearest wall. Hinata wouldn't lie when she said she was amazed that Hanabi was allowing herself this kind of treatment. Normally she would fight back tooth and claw but she was submitting so easily.

"Hanabi you're going to tell me everything you know. Don't even think about lying to me I won't hesitate to strike you again if you do".

"I can't do that".

She regretted saying that since Hinata gave her hair a good hard yank. Her head starting to hurt but she wouldn't cry.

"Tell me now!".

"I don't know anything. I didn't get anywhere with him".

Another yank and this time against her will Hanabi cried from the pain. "Hanabi…" "Please, I honestly don't have anything to tell you. I was being an idiot, I always have been. I just thought if I could do something even if was insignificant that I would have your trust back".

Hinata was taking back for a moment, but then shoved down her sympathy as she struck Hanabi's chakra system hard enough to knock her unconscious for a few days.

It was taking all her efforts not to go for her heart and end her life. Hinata was angry but she wasn't at a point where she was blinded by rage that she no longer cared about taking a life. At least not yet she wasn't.

For some time she stared at her unconscious sister wondering what kind of nonsense was going through her head. Hinata wasn't stupid, she knew that Hanabi wanted to win back her support; problem was she was choosing all the wrong methods of doing do. That's what was so damn frustrating.

From her point of view Hinata wasn't even sure if she wanted to let Hanabi in. Too many times had she paid the price for making the same mistake; certainly didn't want it to happen again. But because she was to fucking kind for her own good a small portion of her wanted to have that little girl who used to look up to her as her big sister back.

Shaking her head Hinata lifted her sister and carried her to her room before she leaned against a wall and rubbed her temples. She was tired of shit; she was tired of putting up with everything that had made her stumble.

She stood there for who knows how long just trying to remember every little detail of how her life had changed the moment she met her husband. If the circumstances had been slightly different and she had been more brave she would've confronted her father ahead of time and make him spill the beans about everything and everyone that he caused a living hell for; making him pay for his actions. She probably would've dealt with Matsuri the first day she arrived in Suna so that she never would've hurt so many people. Hanabi would most likely have turned out different then from the way she was now. Would she still have walked down the wrong path? Or would she have avoided those temptations and learned from her first mistake?

The bluenette ran a hand over her tired eyes. She was getting headache thinking about Hanabi, but she made up her mind about one thing. If Hanabi had the nerve to pull one more bullshit stunt she would have her thrown into prison. It sounded way too harsh, but this was how Hinata felt and besides Hanabi deserved it no matter how many ways you looked at it.

Not wanting to think anymore, Hinata resisted the urge to sigh as she made her way back to tend to her husband. She needed to tend to him anyway.

Okay that's all for now.

I've got a vague idea as to what will happen next. But it's going to be some time before there's a point where all comes together.

Please leave reviews if you can.

Not sure when the next chapter comes but we'll see.

Ta ta!
