Hey everyone!

For this chapter I forced myself to actually write something, because I figured if I didn't do it now I know for a fact that I would keep putting it off.

So enjoy whatever I managed to come up with and please review if possible.

Now onwards my dears!

She had only made it halfway when she felt the need to lean against the nearest wall. Hinata could feel a storm raging inside of her. She was angry, humiliated, disappointed and so many other things. She had spent weeks mentally preparing for the worst and it that one moment all her efforts had been tossed away.

She bit her lower lip until she tasted her own blood. Every fiber of her body wanted to turn around and give every one of those shit heads a trashing they'd never forget. Why shouldn't she just do it? Hinata was under the impression that she was already taken for a fool. It certainly would do her some justice to march right back over there and finish what she started. All she had to do was walk right up to them and her hands could finish the rest.

She was seriously about to turn around when she felt a hand on her shoulder. "Hinata-sama?" she tensed cursing silently under her breath. Neji always had a habit of showing up in times when she really didn't want to see him.

"Is there an issue? Why aren't you in the meeting room?"

"Let go of me".

"Hinata-sama what happened?".

"Nothing".

"But-".

"Leave me alone!" she snarled as she smacked his hand away and started to walk in the direction she was supposed to be going.

The Hyuga male was at a loss for words. He hadn't attended this meeting since Hinata had politely asked him not too. Truth to be told he had actually been going to check up on other things when he just happened to run into her on the way. Seeing her looking so defeated had caused him to worry and he couldn't help himself with trying to ask what the problem was.

Judging from her reaction, Neji knew that something had happened. But since he didn't know what it was it was something that he was going to have to find out. Whatever had become of his cousin Neji was see to it that everything would be set right.

Gaara was more than a little angry with the fucked up Hyuga council. Knowing that they had caused his wife to lose herself had really gotten him pissed he had wasted no time making his way back and practically scaring them shitless. Gaara usually was able to control his temper to an extent, but when he fully lost it nobody was safe from his wrath.

Naruto also wasn't having any of it. Whenever his friends were hurt is some way it was like he was hurt also so naturally the blonde had fired his mouth saying some not so nice things to the retards in front of him. The combined force of two pissed off Kage was enough to cause the council to submit with their tails between their legs. Try as they might to say something Gaara and Naruto wouldn't hear of it. Besides they had kinda lost the battle from the start so there wasn't really any point in trying. That and they were all scared of what would happen if they continued to argue with the two men that clearly had the advantage.

Hanabi wasn't shy about running her mouth as well. With the Hokage and her brother-in-law letting their anger speak for themselves, Hanabi saw no reason why she shouldn't say whatever the hell she wanted to say. Afterall she'd probably never get another chance to have this kind of opportunity so she might as well dive in and savor it while she could.

In the back of his mind Gaara was glad that Hanabi was supporting him. He wasn't going to stop her from expressing herself even if she was using some foul language.

So by the time the red head was done he was very satisfied by the council looking like scared little children wanting to cry for mommy.

He knew that they knew there was absolutely nothing that they could say or do. Not unless they wanted to meet a long, slow and painful death. Well that could be arranged; served them all right to be honest.

Naruto was grinning away laughing to himself. That had felt really good. He had been wanting to release all that pent up frustration for a while now. Now that he finally had a chance to so the feeling was all that much sweeter. One may say that he was setting a bad example for himself as a Kage but did the blonde actually give a fuck? No sir.

"Gaara you go ahead and talk with Hinata, I'll wrap things up here".

The red head didn't need to be told twice, he made a mental note to thank Naruto later. He had been in this suffocating room for much too long. It was getting to a point he was thinking he would start to smell like the old geezers.

"Gaara-sama pardon my intrusion but may I ask why Hinata-sama is looking so miserable?"

He was about to ask why Neji was here but then the pieces linked together and instead Gaara made a weird noise in the back of his throat and pinched the bridge of his nose. Why did he think Neji could behave like he was supposed too; this guy was seriously starting to get under his skin.

"What did you say to her?"

Part of him hadn't meant to sound threatening but the other part of him didn't give two shits.

"Nothing, I only walked into her by chance she looked very upset so naturally I only asked what was wrong".

Gaara knew that Neji was only telling him the honest truth, but still he was getting into that bad habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was going to have to speak with him about this in the near future. Right now he had his wife on his mind.

"Please step aside, Hinata needs me".

The Hyuga male watched as the Kazekage continued on his way to find Hinata. Neji didn't have any reason to pout, but he was kind of hoping that Gaara would fill him in. Well, it looks like he was going to have to wait a little longer or at least ask someone else. Maybe Hanabi was willing to tell him what was up.

"Aunty Temari will Mommy and Daddy come back soon?".

Hena had asked that question so many times that Temari was seriously considering taping her mouth shut just so she wouldn't keep asking the same stupid question. But it wasn't like the blonde couldn't blame her niece for asking to begin with. She was still far too young to be left unattended without the care of her parents. Temari had been a little worried about Hinata since she had departed. It wasn't that she didn't think of Hinata as anything less. But her younger brother had told her before leaving that he was afraid of Hinata's emotional vulnerability. It wasn't like Hinata had nerves of steel she was still a human being and humans will always give in their feelings whether they like it or not.

"Be patient sweetheart. I promise that they will come home in no time".

Hena didn't look all that convinced. But she knew that arguing with her aunt wasn't going to help. Temari didn't have the tolerance for it.

Since her family had left she had gotten this strange feeling that something was about to happen. Temari couldn't say for sure what it was, but normally she didn't dwell on these kinds of things simply because she didn't see them as important; however there were some exceptions and when Temari did decide to trust her guts it normally was with good reason. She was very much concerned for her nieces.

Temari knew that Hena and Imari were very vulnerable as of right now. Even though she was skilled jounin she didn't know if she alone was enough to protect her nieces.

Not wanting to worry herself Temari had forced herself to shove all of her insecurities down. For her sake she needed to remain strong.

Forcing herself to smile she ruffed Hena's hair.

"Do not fret Hena; your parents will be coming back soon. Everything will be alright".

"How could you expect me to stay calm?! Did you even hear what they said!".

Hinata had been yelling for a good ten minutes now. When her husband finally had showed up the bluenette had directed all her anger at him. She was still very much pissed off and she needed something to yell at.

"Hinata I'm not trying to deny anything. But I'm asking that you behave like an adult".

Gaara had somehow kept his cool while his enraged wife had a go at him. He knew better then to yell back since she wasn't actually mad at him. Hinata though was still in a bad mood and she hadn't stopped pacing.

"I just-just-I can't even think properly I'm so angry". Her face had once again become beet red.

Resisting the urge to sigh, Gaara reluctantly stood up and walked over to her, naturally Hinata backed away. Despite her threats he gently grabbed her wrist and carefully pulled her close. Hinata struggled to be free but he didn't have to wait long for her to give in. Unlike earlier she wasn't in that fit of not being able to control her feelings. So he held her for a good while until he felt her snuggle against him for comfort.

"Feel better now?"

"Gaara-dana please forgive me".

"I told you before I don't want you feeling sorry for yourself".

Hinata refused to look at him. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do".

"What are you talking about?".

"I mean…" Hinata found herself frustrated that she wasn't saying what she wanted to "It's kind of hard to explain. I know that I could've handled myself a lot better. But I didn't do that. It's almost like I completely lost myself in that fit of anger. I didn't even recognize myself".

"Is that what it is?"

Hinata opened her mouth to answer when the two heard a knock at the door. Gaara just about wanted to scream. If it wasn't one bloody thing it was another, if it was Neji coming to check up he was really going to let him have it.

"Nee-chan may I come in?"

Gaara and Hinata were surprised by Hanabi's voice. What did she want?

"Hanabi?"

The younger sister walked in and concern was still in her pearl orbs "Nee-chan are you alright? I'm worried about you. Naruto wanted me to tell you that he's going to help with the reformation of the clan. He also wanted to let you know that Neji-niisan will receive recognition as the new clan leader and Gaara-sama has permission to add any new laws that he sees fit".

Hinata stood frozen for a moment. She could feel her heart pounding in her ears; her world was turning upside down there were too many thoughts and feelings going through her right now. What was anger had now been replaced with something else only thing was she wasn't sure what exactly it was she was feeling.

Actually is all made sense, since the Hyuga bastards had nothing more they could say or do it only made sense that they caved in to the pressure and gave the go ahead to start whatever it was they wanted to start. What had Hinata been expecting? The odds had already been in her favor from the start. It wasn't so much comforting as it was that this fucked up mess was coming to close.

"Naruto would like to speak to you later. He said that he wanted to discuss some things with you about the Hyuga and whatnot".

The bluenette had to close her eyes as she placed her hand on her forehead. Her head was starting to hurt; this was too much to handle right now.

"Hanabi".

Hanabi looked a little scared as her older sister walked towards her, she thought that she was going to lash out at her but instead she did the most unexpected thing. For the first time in ages Hinata took her sister in a hug.

Hinata ignored Hanabi's quiet gasp, she just hugged her tighter. Whatever malice that she felt for her suddenly vanished into thin air. She was too emotionally drained to care about that right now. Her younger sister had actually done something right for once and she was grateful for it.

"Hanabi thank you".

Hanabi was almost convinced that she was being lead on, but hearing Hinata's voice so genuine despite that she was tired caused her to starting crying. Almost against her will Hanabi nervously hugged Hinata back expecting her to strike. When nothing happened Hanabi could only cry harder, it may have happened in the way that she least expected it but it looked like Hinata was finally starting to trust her again even if just a little. It was much too early to say whether or not their bond as sisters would mend, but Hanabi was really hoping that in time they could go back to how it once was.

Gaara stared at the two sisters hugging each other. Okay, this was not what he expected but he was glad that they were embracing each other. He didn't know if this was a one-time only thing but Hinata looked a lot more at ease with herself.

He didn't want to spoil the mood between them so he was about to walk out when he felt Hinata grab his arm, turning his head he was caught off guard when he felt his lips be caught in a gentle kiss. Once he figured what Hinata was trying to express he returned it pleased that she was calmed at least for now.

There was so much work that needed to be done and by the time she was ready to go back to Suna Hinata was exhausted.

She had spent her remaining days in Konoha helping Naruto and Neji. Her cousin nearly had a heart attack when he was told that starting now he was to rule over the Hyuga; but that was only the beginning reforming a clan was not an easy task. Especially when one wasn't sure where to start, Hinata was needed in more ways than one. It may have sounded way off that the Huyga were starting over so fast, but it wasn't like there wasn't much that could be done to stop it. Hinata figured that it was better late than never. Naturally most of the Huyga, particularly the main family objected to the sudden change. But they couldn't do anything with two Kage saying that their word was law.

Poor Neji had to be filled in with all the details that he had missed before. It was more than a lot to take in, but Hinata had forced herself to be patient with him when she explained to him the meeting that left her furious.

At least her cousin understood why she got so upset and he probably would've lashed out too had he been there in her shoes. But he had a place to start now and that meeting was only the beginning, in spite of the main family's disapproval.

The branch family didn't have any problems with this as they had wanted some changes to happen since forever.

So not only had she needed to settle the tension and convince them all to start referring to themselves as one family, she also had to offer assistance to Naruto, Neji as well as Shikamaru in deciding what would be best for the Hyuga and discarding any old laws that were no longer needed. It was not the most pleasant of tasks, but Hinata didn't trust any of the Huyga council and refused to take on their opinions. She wanted this to be a positive change, so she told herself that unless she made the big decisions they'd only end up back where they started.

She had stayed in Konoha far longer then she planned and she was more than ready to leave. She had to assure Neji that she'd come back, they were far from done and since Neji was going to need help with his new title Hinata had made it her personal goal to give Neji the steps in the right direction until he was ready to handle it himself. Naruto would have to help him in the meantime.

As for the matter concern Hiashi, that was left entirely up to Gaara. The Kazekage had decided that the man would be best suited to face some of Suna's punishments before he further decided what to do with him. Hinata and Hanabi would probably want their share of getting back at him so Gaara would keep him alive until they thought otherwise.

"Hinata-chan don't be too long, we'll be waiting for you here".

"I know I'll be back soon".

She was so happy to finally be out of Konoha, even though it had happened in the most unpredictable way imaginable. Hinata was very pleased that at long last what she had wanted had finally happened. Sure, she may have taken a different approach then from what she had originally planned but things were finally starting to go her way.

She really owed Temari one. She had been so kind taking care of her daughters in her absence. Hinata missed her children and she was eager to get back to them.

"Gaara-dana?"

"Yes?"

She hesitated for a few seconds.

"Are you sure that all will be well with my father?"

She had asked him that earlier. Hinata trusted that Gaara knew what he was doing, and even though she knew that her father deserved punishment she wasn't sure if she wanted him in Suna.

"I…I don't know if he'll try something".

Hinata hadn't forgotten when someone with similar intensions had escaped and tried to take matters into their own hands. Fortunately they were dead but that still wouldn't excuse the crimes they committed all for something that was so petty.

"Hinata please don't start showing sympathy".

Her head snapped up "Was I? I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound like it".

Gaara took her hand "There are some things that don't deserve your sympathy even if you think that it's the right thing".

"I swear I wasn't".

He gave her a lopsided smile "But I do know that you were starting to consider it. Just trust me; I'll make sure that he never comes near you or our children. He's a lost cause as it is anyway".

Hinata gave his hand a squeeze "Okay I'll do that".

As much as she told herself not to worry about it, she still didn't like the idea. Oh well, might as well see what happens next, hopefully it would be all that bad.

*Exhales a loud breath*

Oh, that was hard.

I'm sorry that this chapter seems a little short, but I was much too tired to make it longer. Please leave me reviews if at all possible. I know that this chapter isn't the most perfect but this is all I can manage with my time right now. Hopefully the next chapter will be better.

So until next time, please take care.

Bye!
