Sylvie was sitting in the hospital bed. She had been a complete hysterical mess ever since she arrived. She was finally able to calm down a little bit but she was still very shaken up. Her evening was going completely normal. She was in the car on her way to Jemma's house to have a fun night with her friends. As she was turning at an intersection, there was a car coming across from her who seemed to have no intention of stopping and he drove right into her. Her car spun out control before hitting the curb and rolling over on its side. It all happened so fast and the shock and terror caused her to pass out for few minutes. When she finally came to she was very disoriented but soon realized what had happened and started panicking. She was also in a significant amount of pain but due to all the adrenaline she barely felt it at the time. She smelt the car smoking and instantly thought that she was going to die in there and didn't know how to get out. Luckily there were pedestrians nearby that witnessed the whole thing and were able to help her get out of the totaled vehicle. Someone called the police and ambulance. The paramedics came for Sylvie and called her mom for her. Camille and Sam rushed to meet them at the hospital. The car had to get toed and Sylvie had left her phone somewhere inside which is why it took so long for someone to reach Jemma.

The other person involved in the accident was taken to the hospital as well to be checked. His injuries were very minor compared to Sylvie's. He was discharged almost immediately and sent to the police station. They assumed he may have been under the influence of something and were getting him tested for drug use as well. Sylvie on the other hand had a rather deep cut in her knee that would require stitches, a slight gash on her head that would also require stitches, and there were a bunch of other smaller cuts from all the shattered glass that would heal on their own time. The initial X-ray revealed a fracture in her left arm so they placed it in a sling for the time being. She also needed some neurological tests to confirm any concussion or other internal damages, if any. They had given her some pain medication to ease her discomfort at the moment.

None of the injuries would cause any permanent damage, except for scars. However Camille knew that this was not something that her daughter was going to be able to easily recover from mentally. Sylvie still had episodes of PTSD due to some traumatic events she experienced throughout her childhood. She needed a lot of therapy when she was first adopted and her mom still kept in touch with the psychologist thankfully. Sylvie had never been in a car accident before and the concept had always terrified her for obvious reasons and especially because her birth parents were killed in a fatal car accident.

Camille was currently talking with one of the nurses. They were initially in the ER but recently got transferred to a room. Sam was waiting in the lobby for Jemma and others to arrive so he could bring them up. As soon as Sylvie saw her fiance and best friends in the doorway she broke down in tears. Jemma immediately swooped her up as firmly yet gently as she possibly could. She still didn't know what the injuries were but she was just beyond happy to see her conscious. She had been a nervous wreck the whole way there and probably wouldn't have made it without Galinda and Elphaba there to keep her sane.

"Shhhhhhh. It's okay baby. It's okay. I'm here. I'm here. You're okay." Jemma said soothingly as she kissed her and stroked her hair. Once she was calm enough Galinda and Elphaba were able to get a hug in as well.

"I'm so sorry guys. It's your last night in town, we were supposed to have fun tonight."she said.

"Sylvie no, we don't care about that. We care that you're okay. We were so worried." Galinda said

"Yes please don't apologize, none of this was within your control." Elphie said.

"It all happened so fast… I was so scared." Sylvie said tearing up again.

"I know babe, I can't even imagine. But you're safe now." Jemma comforted.

"Are you in much pain?" Elphie asked.

"They gave me medicine but I don't think it has kicked in everything still hurts. My arm is fractured and some of these cuts need stitches and my head really hurts."

"Oh my poor baby." Jemma said, giving her another hug.

"The car is ruined, they had to toe it. I left a bunch of stuff in there, including my phone."

"You'll get your stuff back babe and don't worry about the car. Insurance will handle it. My older brother has been in multiple accidents in the past so I know how all of this works." Jemma said. They talked a little while longer about what happened. Elphie, Galinda and Jemma provided as much reassurance as the could. The nurse gave them a run down of what needed to happen. Shortly afterwards, the doctor came back and did a few more tests which confirmed that Sylvie had a concussion. Luckily it wasn't severe and she'd recover fairly soon. Eventually the others were asked to leave the room so they could do some more x-rays and start on the stitches. They stayed in one of the private waiting rooms down the hall. It was going to be a long night. They indicated that Sylvie would have to stay overnight. Camille was going to stay with her and there was no way in Oz that Jemma was going to leave her fiance tonight, so they needed to make arrangements for Elphaba and Galinda. They decided that they could stay at the house tonight with Sam. They'd stop back at Jemma's house tonight first so they could pack up their belongings and Sam would take them to catch their train tomorrow, using his mother's car.

Sam was currently on the phone with the insurance company. Camille has put him in charge of getting all that figured out for the time being. The twins shared the car. Camille had got it for them as a birthday gift the year they got their licenses. They had been good at sharing it. Sam was the one who drove the car the most because Sylvie was usually away at school. He also had a job this summer and Sylvie did not, so she had less places to go. He loved their car and it was devastating to know that it was ruined. But at the end of the day he knew the car was replaceable, but his sister was not. He was beyond grateful that she was okay because tonight could've gone in a very different direction. He loved his sister so much and had no idea what he would ever do without her. He didn't even want to consider any what ifs at this point.

They wanted to stay as late as they could to ensure that Sylvie was alright. They assumed they'd be there for a few more hours. The hospital food was notably not good, so Elphaba and Galinda volunteered to go to the shopping center nearby to pick up some food to snack on for everybody. They insisted on paying, but Camille gave them her debit card anyway just in case. They originally planned to walk but Jemma gave Galinda her car keys insisting it would be quicker and safer since it was late.

"This day took such an unexpected turn." Galinda said as she and Elphie were walking out of the hospital to the parking lot.

"It sure did. It's crazy how we were all just hanging out earlier today and now Sylvie's hurt and in the hospital." Elphie said. "I'm just glad she'll be alright."

"I know, I was so scared for her. Do you remember where we parked?" Galinda asked as they were kind of aimlessly walking around the parking lot. "I wasn't paying much attention when we got here, my nerves were getting the best of me.

"Mine too. But think were somewhere over here." Elphie pointed. "Yep. That looks like Jemma's car."

"Good eye my love." Galinda kissed her cheek then unlocked the doors so they could get in.

"I just feel so bad for Sylvie." Galinda sighed as she started the car.

"It is quite unfortunate. I'm certain this isn't how she planned to spend the remainder of her summer."

"I've never fractured a bone before, but I have gotten stitches and had a concussion." Galinda said.

"You have?" Elphie asked.

"Yeah, Triss busted my lip open with I was three." Galinda laughed

"How in Oz did she do that?"

"Well if you ask her she'd say it was my fault. We were playing, I was holding her hands while she spun me around. She was telling me to not to let go but for some reason I let go and I went flying across the room and my mouth hit the bottom of the couch. It's all kind of a blurr. I just remember bleeding, crying, Auntie Daria rushing me to the hospital and I needed stitches."

"Yikes." Elphie said. "How about the concussion?"

"That happened in cheerleading. I was one of the smallest so I was flyer and I got dropped, it was bad." Galinda.

"Oh no that sounds bad."

"Our cheer team was awfully dysfunctional. Someone got injured almost every week it seemed like. I remember one time I accidentally kicked a girl in the face and broke her nose." Galinda said casually.

"Lindie, oh my." Elphie said, shocked.

"Well she was one of the bases that dropped me so I guess the damage was even." Galinda giggled.

"I guess." Elphie chuckled. They ended up at a convenience store nearby and got some light snacks for everyone to munch on tonight.

"I have an idea!" Galinda bubbled one they were back in the car.

"Please share my sweet."

"I think we should do something special for Sylvie."

"Like what?"

"A party!"

"Lindie...I don't think that Sylvie is in any condition to party." Elphie said.

"I know, I know. Not a full blown party, just a little get well soon gathering. We can get her some gifts, cook her favorite meal and just keep it really lowkey." Galinda said.

"Okay that's a nice idea. But when exactly are we supposed to do this? We're literally going back to Frottica tomorrow at noon." Elphie said.

"I don't think it'll hurt anyone if we stayed longer. I'll call daddy right now and see if he can reschedule our train."

"I'm down with that my sweet, but perhaps you should run all this by Jemma and Camille first to make sure it's all okay before we make any major changes."

"Okay, okay." Galinda agreed.

Back at the hospital they expressed the idea to Camille, Jemma and Sam. They all agreed it was a sweet idea and Sylvie would appreciate it a lot. Galinda called her dad and he was able to change their train time to tomorrow night instead. Eventually they were able to go back into the room to see how Sylvie was doing. It was getting rather late and Camilla suggested that Sam and the girls go ahead and get on the road. Goodbye hugs and I love yous were distributed and then they headed out.

"How are you holding up Sam?" Elphie asked as they were walking out. They had both noticed that he seemed stressed and was being awfully quiet. Sam sighed.

"Tonight has just been hectic. I guess I didn't even have time to process how worked up I was...and still am."

"We understand." Galinda said gently.

"When my mom told me Norah was in a car accident my mind went straight to the worst because...well I assume you know…" he said and they nodded. "Tonight just shook me up a lot. But I'm okay and Norah's okay and that's all that matters."

It was about midnight when they got to Jemma's house. Jessie was waiting up for them. Jemma had talked to her on the phone earlier explaining everything.

"How is Sylvie?" Jymin asked as she and Jazabel came down stairs when they heard the commotion.

"I thought you girls were in bed." Jessie said.

"We were but we're nosy." Jazabel said and Galinda giggled. It was cute how Jemma's little sisters cared so much about her fiancé.

"She's fine. Just a few injuries that she'll recover from in due time." Sam reassured them. Galinda and Elphaba headed down to their room in the basement and swiftly packed up their stuff. When they were ready they came back up and said their goodbyes and good nights to everyone. They thanked Jessie for accommodating them. She was really such a sweet woman and it was very evident where Jemma where gets her kind nature from.

They arrived back at the Jones's house. Their place was obviously much smaller so they didn't have any type of guest room. There was a couch in the living room big enough for one person to sleep so Sam assumed someone else just could just get comfortable on the floor, it was carpeted. He brought down some blankets and pillows so they could arrange however they wanted. He was off to bed because he had to work the morning shift at his job tomorrow then run a few errands. Galinda assured him to leave all the "party" planning to them and they that they had money to figure out their own transportation tomorrow as needed. Sam went on upstairs for the night. Meanwhile, Elphaba and Galinda were going back and forth over who should sleep where. Neither one was comfortable sleeping on the couch while the other was on the floor.

"Lindie it's late and we're tired. Why are we arguing over this?" Elpie said more amsued than frustrated.

"I don't know." Galinda laughed. "We both know good and well we're gonna end up beside each other anyway."

"True." Elphie chuckled. "And with how widely you sleep we'll probably end up on the floor anyway."

"Hey!" Galinda giggled, the accepted a kiss from her girlfriend. They spent a little while just kissing and enjoying the feel of each other. They were both feeling a strong need for affection at the moment. The kiss deepend and deepend before it let up. Eventually they were just standing there hugging each other. Elphie embraced Galinda firmly and the blonde rested her head Elphaba and they stayed like that for a good while.

"You okay?" she asked softly kissing her cheek when she felt a sniffle.

"Yeah. Today was kind of overwhelming." Galinda said. Elphie kissed both her cheeks then her lips.

"I know my precious girl, let's get ready for bed." she said. After one more squeeze and long kiss they started to lay out the blankets and pillows on the floor. They got changed into some pajamas and went to the bathroom and stuff then got settled in.

"This is cozy and fun. It's like a slumber party." Galinda said as she snuggled closer to Elphie.

"Without a bunch of mean and annoying girls." Elphie chuckled, kissing Galinda's forehead.

"Yes without all that." Galinda giggled and gave her girlfriend one last kiss before sleep overcame them.

The next morning Sam was up and out. He told Galinda and Elphaba to help themselves to anything in kitchen for breakfast and feel free to shower in the upstairs bathroom. They had a code lock on their front door rather than a house key so Sam texted them the code so they could come and go as they pleased. Once Sam was gone, Galinda talked Elphie into a little morning hanky panky. It didn't turn into sex but it came pretty close. They eventually got up for the day because they had a lot of errands to run. Elphie got her oils while Galinda got her bathing things as they headed upstairs to wash up. The bathing process resulted in a lot more hanky panky. When they finally finished came back downstairs and had some cereal for breakfast. After they ate Elphie called a cab to take them to the shopping center in town where they could pick up everything they needed for the day.

Their first stop was to get gifts for Sylvie, specifically things that would make her feel better and more comfortable while she recovered. They found big soft backrest pillow that came with a matching throw blanket, some fluffy footie slippers, some comfy lounge clothes, face masks, and a few other things. They also stopped at the party store across the street to pick up some get well soon balloons. They got some flowers too from a nearby florist then called another cab to take them back to the house to drop all this stuff off because it was a lot to carry. Their next stop was the grocery store, but they weren't even sure what they were going to make. Galinda texted Jemma to see what Sylvie likes. Jemma said they'd be home close to 4pm and it was already after noon, so there might not be enough time to cook a whole meal and it would probably be easier to just order something.

"What should we order?" Elphie asked.

"You can't go wrong with pizza." Galinda suggested after thinking for a moment.

"Okay. Ask her what pizza Sylvie likes." Elphie said and Galinda sent Jemma a quick text.

"Sylvie likes pineapple pizza, but Jemma hates pineapple pizza so we should order peperoni as well… and I guess cheese too for the non-meat eaters." Galinda chuckled. "And pink lemonade to drink."

"Got it." Elphie said, making a note in her phone. "We can order that when we get back. Do we even need to go to the grocery store now though?"

"Well we're on the way so we may as well. We gotta get cake and ice cream too. Everyone needs plenty of ice cream when they're recovering from anything."

"Okay." Elphie chuckled. They arrived at the grocery and ended up getting a cookie cake. Galinda thought it would be fun and she confirmed with Jemma first that Sylvie would like it. They picked out Sylvie's favorite ice cream which was mint chocolate chip. They also grabbed a few other little snacks that they were told she liked such as dried mangos, seaweed chips, white cheddar popcorn, and clementines. While they were at it they picked up three bags of rainbow chewy bears. One for each of them and one for Sylvie.

Back at the house they got everything set up with the balloons and flowers. They ordered the food shortly after then assembled the gifts in the gift bags that they had bought.

"Wow." Sam said. He had just come home. "You guys really went all out."

"Go big or go home." Galinda giggled. "And we're going home later tonight, so we had to go big while we can."

"I see." Sam chuckled. "Norah's really going to appreciate it."

"That's the goal. We just want to make her happy." Galinda grinned then the doorbell rang.

"That's the pizza. I'll get it." Elphie said.

"Pizza? Nice. But please tell me you guys ordered more than pineapple." Sam said.

"Yes we have cheese and pepperoni as well. I take it you're not a pineapple fan?" Galinda chuckled.

"I am not a fan. Norah's obsessed with it though, I don't understand."

"Apparently Jemma hates it too and Elphie's never had it. But I like it, it's really good." Galind said.

"Yuck." Sam shook his head.

"There are two types of people in the world. Those who like pineapple pizza and those who are wrong…you guys are wrong." Galinda giggled.

"Let's see what Elphaba thinks. She'll be the tie breaker." He said.

"Elphie sweetheart, try a bite of the pineapple right quick and tell us if you like it." Galinda said when Elphie came back in with the pizza.

"Um okay." Elphie and took a bite of a slice. "Oh that's very tasty. I like it."

"Ha!" Galinda said to Sam.

"Whatever." he chuckled. Elphie gave the rest of the slice to Galinda to finish off then they all just hung out until Sylvie, Camille and Jemma were home.

"Surprise!" they all said when Sylvie came in the house. She was in a wheelchair because she couldn't walk on her leg but also couldn't use crutches because of her arm. Jemma was wheeling her in and Camile was right behind them.

"You guys...oh my Oz, what is all this?" Sylvie said, genuinely surprised.

"Just a little something. You've been through a lot and we just to help you feel better." Galinda smiled and gave her a gentle hug. Elphie and Sam did the same.

"Babe, did you know about this?" Sylvie asked Jemma.

"We all knew." Jemma chuckled and kissed her fiance on the cheek.

"But honestly none of us can take any credit except for Elphaba and Galinda. It was their idea, they bought everything and put this all together." Sam said.

"Wow. I wasn't even expecting you guys to be here I thought you went home already."

"We pulled a few strings." Elphie smiled.

"Now get comfy girl, we have pineapple pizza, cookie cake, your favorite ice cream and other snack along with a few gifts for you." Galinda bubbled.

"You guys are amazing." Sylvie siffled. She was moved to tears by all of this and felt very lucky to have friends that would go this far and be this extra for her. Everyone got comfortable in the living room. They ate pizza and talked, but didn't over do it for Sylvie's sake. She opened her presents and loved everything. Afterwards they had cookie cake and ice cream.

Elphie and Galinda's train was leaving at 9pm so they had to be ready to go around 8. Jemma was taking them to the station then coming back to spend the night with Sylvie. She was going to stop at her house on the way back to get a change of clothes because she was still wearing her same outfit from yesterday. They said their goodbyes to Camille and Sam then had a special long goodbye with Sylvie.

"Thanks so much again guys, for everything." Sylvie said after another round of hugs. "I guess the next time I see you will be back at Shiz. I hope the rest of you summer is great."

"Aw thank you Sylvie. We'll see you at Shiz and we wish you a very speedy recovery. I know Mama Jemma is going to take extra good care of you." Galinda giggled and got one more hug before heading to the door with Jemma while Elphie lingered.

"Sylive, thanks again for helping me with...you know what." She said in a hushed voice.

"No problem Elphaba. She's gonna love it." Sylvie smiled.

"I think so too. Wow they're already outside, I guess I better go." Elphie said.

"See you soon. Don't forget you can text me anytime for anything." Sylvie said.

"Of course. See you Sylvie. Get some rest and take it easy." Elphie said and got one more hug before heading out to the car.

It was after 11pm when they got back to Galinda's house. Darol picked them up from the station and Laura waited up for them at home. They weren't up for long because the adults had work in the morning so they called it a night pretty soon. Elphaba and Galinda got ready for bed separately, then Galinda came over to Elphie's room to accidentally fall asleep as she liked to call it.

The next few days flew by and it was finally August. Galinda was extra excited for Thursday because Chloey was coming back to Frottica and she would be staying with them until after they returned from vacation next week. Lani and Triss were coming to town that Saturday and she was equally excited to see them again too. A week from today it would be her 19th birthday and she'd be living it up at Coastline Paradise with her favorite people ever. Everything just felt so exciting. That evening Darol took them to the train station to meet Chloey.

"Chlo!" Galinda bubbled as soon as the green eyed blonde got off the train.

"G!" Chloey exclaimed and ran to hug her.

"I missed you so much twinnie!" Galinda squealed

"I missed you more twinnie!" Chloey said. The sisters hugged so hard they almost knocked each over.
