Hi guys, I'm so incredibly sorry for not updating, but hopefully, I can have some sort of update schedule now that things seem to be getting better.
Fate looked down upon her charge with fondness, it was a hard journey to endure but she was positive her human could withstand it, she was strong and had lived throughout war already.
Death had not returned since her refusal to let her human go, he had stormed away after stewing in resignation, his wispy black aura lingering behind.
Fate could understand his anger, in fact, if Death had 'stolen' one of hers she would have sook retribution, she was just grateful that Death had let it be.
He wouldn't understand how important this charge is, so many lives will be altered by her, she was one of Fate's most promising charges yet.
Severus Snape was overwhelmed, never in all his years had anyone except Dumbledore or Lily or even Voldemort known so much about him. He was a private man, never one to share anything with anyone, so how had one little Gryffindor who claimed to know of the future known so much, he doubts he would ever disclose any of what Granger knew to anybody.
Then there was the issue of her 'coming from the future', he knew time travel was possible, he had even used a time turner on occasion but what Granger was speaking of must have been years in the future, it wasn't probable.
He sighed and waved his wand, checking the time anxiously.
She's a nervous wreck, she didn't know how Snape would react or if he'd even believe her. Running a hand through her riotous curls she breathes out sharply, she needs to be prepared to obliviate him if necessary though she doesn't even know if she can perform to the ability she used to have - or will have.
She's in the room of requirement, looking down at the Horcruxes she has already collected, it makes sense she reassures herself, she needs the help he will have access to Voldemort, but a part of her feels disgusted - she will be using him just as Dumbledore is.
She will give him a choice, she won't resort to blackmail or manipulation.
Sighing she places her Zonko's timeline book in her bag, if he needs evidence she will provide it.
At ten minutes to six, she knocks on his classroom door.
Nervously she pulls at a loose thread on her jumper, the door opens and she sees him leaning against his desk, he looks ready for a fight.
She steps in and almost flinches at his cold tone "Explain, now", narrowing her eyes Hermione snaps back "Put your wand away, I don't trust you to be armed yet", his nostrils flare and he practically shakes in anger, but he complies.
Taking a minute Hermione gathers her thoughts before starting from the beginning of her new life/end of her old life.
"I died in the summer of 1998, and that is when I was brought back to when I was four years old." looking up she meets his eyes "Voldemort won, and everyone that opposed him died - even you."
Explaining the whole timeline from the philosopher's stone incident onward she watches as his features tighten each time she mentions Voldemort.
He's silent until Sirius is mentioned - he snarls as Hermione defends him, not saying anything until she gets to when Pettigrew resurrects Voldemort, he curses and summons a drink, firewhiskey she thinks.
He has almost downed the whole bottle by the time she has recounted the basic details, he stands and finally says, voice hoarse "So how do we find his Horcruxes?"
It takes a couple of days but she explains the finer details and what the Horcruxes are and how to destroy them, he doesn't threaten her again but she is still cautious, there is no knowing if he will tell anyone, Snape does agree to a wizards oath, he won't tell another soul unless she grants permission - after that, she shows him the room or hidden things and the Horcruxes she has collected, he shudders as the dark magic washes over them.
"We need to kill the basilisk and retrieve its fangs" Hermione explains to him.
Their trip into the chamber of secrets is what brings forward the trust between them, the rooster's caw kills the beast as they both stand wide-eyed in front of it, silently they collect the fangs, discussing where to hide some of them as they agree it is foolish to have them in the same place.
So I struggled to write how Snape Exactly becomes trusted but let's just say he is on Hermione's side.
This chapter is short but I needed to get it written, the real interesting stuff happens in the third year onward so I'm trying to get through this.
Love you all, Liya xx
