Author's note: The beginning of this chapter will take place the afternoon the last chapter began. As such, we will be seeing them re-enter the walls. End author's note.

"Titans spotted to the east. Approximately thirty of them, fourteen moving in." Erwin turned to address the remaining people.

"Everybody, pack up everything as fast as you can and move out." The scouts listened to their commander and loaded everything into the wagons. After a few minutes of riding the titans wouldn't let up and kept coming. With every passing second they got closer and closer. Levi got next to the wagon loaded with the bodies, which just so happened to be the same one that Sango and Kai were in due to the lack of horses.

"You need to jettison the extra weight. Dump the bodies."

"But sir, we can't leave them behind."

"Do you know how many bodies we've already left behind? These ones aren't special, dump them."

"No," Sango said as she stood up. "These people need a proper burial. I will not let you leave them behind. Let me do what I can to stop those titans, I can do it." Levi heard the strain in her voice and could tell she was struggling to keep steady from the stab wound earlier. "I can stop all those monsters at once." Without even giving Levi a chance to protest she lifted the Hiraikotsu above her head and threw it toward the end of the line.

What is she aiming for? Levi asked himself. He didn't even know the bone had killed half of the incoming titans until it was circling back around to finish the other half of them. The Hiraikotsu came to Sango's hand and she caught it, causing the wagon to shake violently.

"I'll keep whatever titans that come our way off us."

"You truly are incredible," Levi replied.

The heavy gate opened and what remained of the scouts came through. Everyone was either severally injured and bandaged up, or they had lost someone close to them. Mostly both, and the town's inhabitants could see every bit of it.

A man ran up to Levi asking about his daughter, Petra. He said something about receiving a letter from her recently and something else about her wanting to marry him. The man than asked where he could find her. To this Levi responded, "Petra. Your father wants to see you." She came to the front of the march and hugged the taller man. They made it the rest of the way through town with little problems, except for one. A short man stood in an alleyway, watching them as they passed. He was surprised when he spotted someone familiar.

"I didn't expect to find you here," he said to himself. The man disappeared into the shadows, intent on following them.

As they passed through the second gate, they were stopped and questioned about who the new person was.

"She's someone who was still out there," Erwin told the man. "That's all I'm going to tell anyone until we get her back to headquarters."

And with that, they headed across the countryside.

Mid-note: This is when last chapter took place, so the rest of this one will take place the morning of last chapter.

Sango opened the door and walked out into the main living area where everybody was sitting at the table talking.

"Sango." Kai stood up and came over to her. "How are you feeling? That wound was pretty bad."

"It definitely hurt, but it was nothing to worry about. In fact I'm already completely healed." Levi's eyes widened, as did everyone else's.

"What do you mean you're already completely healed?" Mikasa asked.

"I've always recovered faster than normal people. I had a friend who was extremely strong who would've been put down for a few days from that." She looked toward the floor, making sure her bangs covered her eyes. "But I don't know where he is anymore."

"Are you talking about this Inuyasha guy you told me about?" Kai inquired.

Sango shook her head. "The monk." She looked up at him, a smile on her face. "I'm glad I found you though. You've helped me get through this."

Kai's nose got a little red. "I haven't done anything but follow you around."

"I know, but it's still helped being around someone I can trust."

"Alright lovebirds, shut up for a second." The two looked at Levi. "What?"

"Lovebirds? Really?" Kai looked at him like he was stupid.

"Yes, and stop looking at me like that. Erwin has a plan and Armin has information about the female titan."

A few hours of discussion later.

"Evidently, the border patrol guy we passed yesterday on the way back here notified the Military Police that we found someone from outside the walls. We received a letter late last night from up top. Zachary, the head of the entire military, wants to have a talk with you. The letter also said that we are also to re-discuss the matter of Eren." Levi finished his portion of explanation and handed it over to Erwin.

"For a recap, we know that Sango can fell titans a lot easier than any of us and can fight them without the use of ODM gear. We theorize Annie Leonhart is the female titan and we'll be passing through Stohess district the day after tomorrow. We'll need someone to convince Annie to help us smuggle Eren out through the underground tunnels. If she is the female titan, we'll have to subdue her underground. But if she does shift before then, it will be your job to take her down Sango. You can keep the collateral damage to minimum correct?"

Sango nodded. "She's smart, but I can handle her. She has no defenses against my weapons, but should she try to scale the walls to escape, I'm going to need a set of gear."

"Unfortunately we don't have any spares, but I have another idea.." Erwin continued. "Levi Squad. Keep an eye on the battle and help as much as you can. Sango will be the muscle in this fight, but she's going to need you in the air. If Annie somehow incapacitates you though, Eren will have to take over. Is that acceptable?"

Everyone nodded. "Levi, I need you keeping an eye on the wagon. Hange, we'll need your squad as back-up. Lay traps all over the city if you have to, just don't kill her. The objective of this mission is to capture the female titan. As such, we must use caution. Eren, Mikasa, Armin. You have to get Annie to the underground tunnel where Sango will be laying in wait. Kairontry, you'll be in the wagon as extra security."

"Sounds like a plan." Levi stood up. "Alright, get to work."

Author's note: The layout for this chapter was kind of weird, especially since last chapter took place in the middle of this one. That was not on purpose, I swear. I wrote Sango and Levi talking before I had the idea for this, but about half way through that chapter I thought I should probably write this one. I thought the first encounter with the female titan was in the middle of season two, but apparently not. I had to go back and rewatch those episodes to figure out how to work things and that's when I found out it was near the end of season on when they fight Annie in Stohess. Frankly I thought I had a lot less time to work with, but since I don't I'm going to be speeding up the timeline. I will try not to cut anything out but I will be accelerating the story a lot. Aside from that, there's only one thing left for me to say and that is check out my Avatar RWBY crossover that I'm doing. It isn't officially started yet but the first chapter is up so check it out. With that, I'm out. Goodbye. End author's note.
